At Local Asian Bistro where you will find the best selected Pan Asian dishes in the cozy and chic Oriental decor atmosphere. Just come dining with us at LAB where Locals meet and eat.
Food was good. It wasn’t the best for me if you want my honest opinion and just for the food that we’ve had. The place, vibes and the people made it place extra special. Thank you, ladies! We do appreciate your excellent service. ❤️ We’re still coming back to try different menu!
A lovely restaurant in a new commercial development. The decor is quite nice and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I can HIGHLY recommend the fish sauce chicken wings. Make sure to spoon the sauce over the wings before eating. Tofu salad rolls with peanut sauce equally good. Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, and Basil Eggplant were all excellent. They seriously need to recalibrate the spiciness index here. I ordered a 4 out of 5 and the spice was barely discernible. The waitress told us they used "American" spiciness scale but it seemed more like a small-town, Midwest scale. If you like some kick in your food ask them to ramp it up a bit. We felt like the bbq pork as a meat choice in our dishes was a little disappointing. It was dry and the flavor detracted from the otherwise excellent dishes. Overall though, it is a surprising and really enjoyable restaurant and we will definitely go back.
They go the extra mile with a unique food taste, presentation, and service. Without raising the price.
Food was above average. Presentation means something to these restaurant owners. Wide range of food options; I'm curious how that might help or hinder this restaurant.
The mixed drink I had was good, and the presentation again was nicely done.
The service was excellent. Food was faster than most restaurants but still tastes fresh.
I'll be coming back 👍
A note to the owners: Give your employees a break room or earbuds. Sitting in the restaurant dining area with their phones on speaker while watching YouTube and or video chatting is extremely annoying, disrespectful, and in some Asian cultures its rude. Especially when it can be heard all the way across the room.
I tried this place a couple years ago and it’s slowly become my favorite Asian food in the area. I have been here a probably 10 times in the last 6 months. Maybe once, in all the times I’ve eaten here, i thought to myself “I remember this being better”. Chalked it up to an off day. We’ve ordered an array of noodle dishes, all fantastic. Soups, Orange chicken, pineapple fried rice, mushroom fritters, spring rolls, salad rolls, crab Rangoon, a pork special, I can’t name them all but def have had enough to say this place is very good. The service is good but it seems like it’s usually one person in the afternoon or 2 waiting staff in the evening and if it’s slightly busy, then the service might not be extraordinary. But I’ve never had a bad experience or been disappointed, or felt ignored. Always been happy with the overall experience. Great price, portions and food. Anyone I’ve brought with me has also had a good experience. I’d chalk the negative reviews up to an off day. Everyone has them.
Local Asian Bistro has big ideas. It sets it's sights high and the moment you walk in the door you can tell there is a lot of promise there. I love the thought that has been put into the dining room, the solid, modern, yet simple furniture, the natural colors, even the drink menu is aspiring to be something different than your average Asian joint.
My friend gets the Pad Thai, because he is not particularly adventurous, but it's also true that culinary castles can rise and fall on a good Pad Thai. Well I try it and I start to get excited. It's a little different than I'm used to, but it's good. A little sweet, good noodle separation, some solid points... even the presentation is above average, the plating is a burnt orange wonder.
The salad rolls are perfect, I can hardly wait for my Pho.The fixins are right, the basil fresh. There is no condiment tray, a choice I come to regret a bit as the meal progresses. It's a clear broth, the noodle have good lift and are not all clogged up at the bottom of the bowl. The broth itself is ok. Just ok. I would have liked to add a little heat to it and maybe a touch of sweetness. I mean I can respect if the broth is perfect deferring to the chef's decision not to put out a condiment try, but this is just ok.
But then we come to the beef. I ask my lunch companion what he thinks the meat is and he looks at it and says chicken. The beef is blanched white, tasteless and chewy. It is in fact just this side of disgusting. No mouth feel, no umami, not even a nice texture. This is the moment I begin to regret not having the condiment tray. Disappointment begins to creep into my consciousness like a small roof leak in a beautiful house.
I am willing to think that this is the one place where Local Asian misses the mark. But Pho is my grail. If you can't do broth, then are are a ton of other places that can and do. It's like biting into a welcoming apple only to realize it's a red delicious.
I might give Local Asian Bistro a second chance, my wife loves Pad Thai (In fact, like my friend, it's all she ever gets) and anything that makes her happy, makes me happy. but I won't be ordering the Pho, which feels weird to me. like going into a hot dog place and ordering hamburgers.
Very tasty noms!
We’ve been looking for a new thai place since Pure Thai moved to the east side. Ordered the wings, yakisoba and crying tiger. The search continues…
Delicious and quick service every time. Staff is always friendly. 10/10 recommend!
Great people, great food and a great place to eat! Highly recommended.
Food delivery
This is the best Thai restaurant this side of the river. Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The food is quality and service is very friendly.
This place was awesome!
Good food smaller portions for price

Some of the best Asian food I’ve had. And for the price, I think the best food I’ve ever had. 5/5 in every aspect. Wonderful place. This isn’t a fast food place so don’t expect your food in 5 mins. Food is top notch. Absolutely delicious. Just discovered this place and have been coming back every 1-2 days. Even to-go orders are good too. I know some places to-go is a little watered down. But this place is one of my faves in felida. Amazing place!
Pineapple fried rice is an assault on the palate. Wouldn't recommend. Just offer some traditional options. Not every dish needs a modern take 🙄
Let your culinary mental palate place, curry, eggs, pineapple and cashews together. I certainly didn't do the mental math and suffered for it 🫤
Fell in love with this place because of their gluten-free options and specifically their gluten-free Tom kha soup! It was the best I've ever had and so you can imagine my disappointment when during my last visit I was informed that it is no longer gluten-free? Usually restaurants try to add more gluten-free options, not remove them :( still a great restaurant but won't be returning sadly.
Food is good but service is bad. We had a great time and good service the first time there. Second time there today. That only server that was working was rude. She made me and my husband feel so unwelcoming with a rude attitude.
Love this place! Cute restaurant to dine in or take food to go.
Awesome food and service. Take out is great too
Great restaurant definitely a local favorite
We live nearby and order takeout or eat at Local Asian Bistro at least one a week. Good food, reliable ordering, and friendly staff! Love this neighborhood spot.
The food is spectacular. The service is awful. Slow, rude, never come back. We went last night and there was one other table and we had to ask for water. It took 20 minutes for all three of our dishes to come out and when I Asked for the last one the waitress said it’s coming, just kept walking. They never came back after dropping the food to check on us. Food is good but man the service needs some serious help.
I arrived at 8:23 The hostess told me they are closing at 9:00 and they don't seat anyone after 8:30. She said I could get carry out, but that was not an option for me. I'm not likely to return to find out if their food is any good because of the abrupt and dismissive attitude of the staff.
They make the best Pad Thai in Vancouver, and their customer service is always so good. Everyone in there is always super friendly! Definitely recommend everything here!
The best Thai we have had. The service was amazing and we tried so many dishes as we were a table of 13 and shared many different appetizers. Everyone at the table commented on how much they loved their entrees. We will plan to visit often.
Lovely place with excellent food! Very fresh and delicious. Great and friendly service plus the place is just really cute 🥰
They will not serve you if you have an allergy. I have a peanut allergy and they said that they cannot serve me because of my allergy.
I used to order from here but with the new management , I will never order again!
Really really good food. Had some Tom Kha and Pad Thai takeout and had to eat in the next night to try their curry. I noticed their shrimp is fresh immediately, and realized that all their vegetables are fresh too. Better than Thai food I've had in SE Asia. Better portion sizes than other restaurants (not too big). Quick service. And it's only ~$15 a plate. Eat here.
Was really excited to try this place after hearing such positive things. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but the service was the worst I have encountered in a long time. They took our order in a timely fashion, but then nothing. Had I been dining alone, I would have left. We had to eventually go up to the bar area to request our drinks, our food, and our check. Food was hit and miss. Won't come back. Lots of better options nearby.
I’ve eaten here several times the food has always been great ,but tonight the orange chicken was so tough and dried out from being over cooked, the steam broccoli was barely warm when it arrived at the table. the mushroom fritters were excellent.
Outstanding food, outstanding service. My wife and I love this place, just go already and see for yourself.
The local reviews are true! Excellent food! Well spiced, perfectly prepared! We had the salad rolls, yakisoba, beef salad, crab & local wings. Everything was delicious! Friendly, welcoming staff. Good prices too.
I ordered for pickup and never received a notification that my order was ready, so after a while I went in and there it was, sitting…
The food itself was alright—not bad but I’m not eager to get back there anytime soon.
Overall, I feel very lukewarm on this spot.
Wonderful place! Food was flavorful and fresh.
Definitely 100% best place to eat if you want some authentic food
Loved the atmosphere. All of the food was fresh, and delicious!
Food was good and prices arent bad
Excellent family dinning experience, I definitely recommend this place!
Great food and staff!
Such a cute little place. Service was fast, accommodating and friendly. Went for lunch and food was great, can't wait to go back and try more for dinner sometime.
Really liked it, place is beautiful, quiet, good service, good food--we had dumplings, egg rolls, pah thai and chicken yokisoba. We will be regulars!
Ordered the pepper squid, orange chicken, kalbi and kimchi stew. Portions were not worth the price. The pepper squid was swimming in grease, orange chicken was just ok, kalbi was too sweet and they put alot of veggies to make the container look full. The kimchi stew was the only decent thing. Threw the squid in the air fryer which crisped it up a little, but in return it turned rubbery. First time trying this place, and sadly will be the last.
What a great find! Wonderful food at a fair price.
First time visiting this place and I was very pleased with the food very good and friendly service.
They go the extra mile with a unique food taste, presentation, and service. Without raising the price.

Loved the food! Server was very friendly.
Local Asian Bistro has some really solid food. Their orange chicken is really tasty! Definitely some of the better Asian food in Vancouver.
Great good and great atmosphere.
It's one of our favs.
Cozy, with delicious food and great service!
Food was not that great. No presentation or special taste. My meal smelled like fish although I chose to have chicken with basil ! I hate the smell of fish ! Sorry I am getting personal here...on the good side, there are choices of sitting in or outside which was great 👍. It was not that busy on Sunday evening. Parking was available and the plaza was very dead quiet. Waiters were nice and helpful.
Always excellent food! This is one of my favorite "go to" restaurants. Also has take out, if you dont have the time to dine in. The Tamarita Margaritas are the best! We also love the mushroom fritters! So good! Great Asian food.
Great food and service! It's a little loud when tables are mostly full so not a place for quiet conversation. Enjoyed it and will go back!
Exceptional experience, the food exceptionally exceeded expectations. I wish I ordered more!
We really like this restaurant. Close by and the servers are always very nice and the food is great!!
Great atmosphere with quick friendly service and yummy food. The large house sake was perfect for two.
They have a pork special ( I don't remember the name of the plate) it's really good. I totally recommend it! and the lychee soda is yummy too.

Always yum af
Very good Asian food and some new stuff to try
The food and service were great, I’ve eaten here a few times already and this place is easily one of my favorites. I love yellow curry, I’ve tried many curries in Vancouver and so far this one has been the best. Their iced Thai tea is also very good, and the restaurant itself is cute and cozy.
Staff was super friendly, dining area clean. Ordered takeout. When I finally opened up my bag I was flabbergasted that they did not provide me with utensils or napkins, with no way to eat the food. Something so simple would have gotten them 5 stars. Food is a little pricey for the portion size. When I was finally able to eat the food, it was good.
The best food and service I've had in a long time! Great atmosphere too! The lychee Richie drink is really good!
I shouldnt even be leaving a review with this gem in my own backyard. Delicious, authentic, and elegantly presented. This place is worth checking out and trying practically every dish.
I had the Duck Curry and it was everything.
Delicious tofu pad Thai, great customer service, take out was beautiful boxed. Wonderful experience.
Love their massaman curry and vegetable rolls. Always excellent for dine in or take out.
Great food and staff! Location is a huge plus for our Felida neighborhood
Excellent food and service but a little spendy
Fantastic food! We have been doing take our here almost once a week for a few years. The massaman curry, graw praw, garlic and pepper dishes are our favorites. Always very nice and open till 9!
The dishes are delicious, especially the curries and fried rice. We highly recommend and see this restaurant as a lovely neighborhood gem! We will be back 😊
Good food. Always friendly service. This time I got it to go, but I've always been impressed with how they transformed their space into a very comfortable dining environment.
Best around. The food always tastes very fresh and flavorful.
Great food, excellent service, great decor. A fun place to eat in the Lake Shore/Felida area. Recommend.
Great food, quick service.
I'm honestly not sure about the rave reviews, which made us try this place. I ordered take out and the pra ram was flavorless, salad rolls are smaller than others in the area but just as, if not more, expensive. I also couldn't recommend the yakisoba, it was somehow dry and tasted a little burned, but sat in a liquid on the bottom. Overall unimpressed.
The third of three Thai restaurants I bought take-out from during the past month, the only one whose food tasted unpleasant and the only one that overcharged me. The manager was not present to discuss the overcharge and she did not call me to discuss it as I requested. Yikes, Three Strikes!
I’ve ordered takeout from Local Asian Bistro several times and I’ve dined in once. They have really solid food, I’m thrilled to have a place like this nearby.
Pro-tip - the mushroom fritters are so unique and so delicious!
A+, this place is amazing, very friendly staff, complex flavors, definitely would consider this place a bistro!
Pad Thai was amazing it's tasted fresh and the egg rolls were crispy and delicious.
Excellent dinner with absolutely yummy Thai food. Great menu of entrée choices Outstanding service!
Had a great lunch here, looks like it'd be a nice place for drinks and small plates, plenty of outdoor seating.
Such good Pad Thai!
Tried them once for takeout during Covid and was average. Tried again yesterday dine in and not the best food. Pad Thai had a weird taste. Had veggie stir fry which was ok but brown rice was terrible. I live close so like to stay close but next time I want Thai I’ll drive farther.
Excellent service, and great food. Has a bar and cocktails too. Will be returning
I am highly impressed by this little bistro! It's nice and quiet, and the interior is super calming and relaxing. The décor is minimal and won't distract you. A super great place to grab a cup of tea while waiting for your entrée. I do think it could be a bit cleaner, because there was a small sticky stain on my placemat and a couple of crumbs, but not much to complain about.
Their menu looks fabulous. I must say that their yellow curry is one of the best I've tried. Super flavourful with the perfect amount of spice and a good serving for the price. Tastes excellent with the chicken, vegetables, and rice. My tummy was really craving it. I would definitely come back and try more, and I've already recommended the restaurant to some people.
Meh. Drove 45 minutes to meet a friend here and was not impressed with anything I ate.
The crab rangoon was ok but greasy. The Thai shrimp salad had 4 little shrimp on a skewer...
Always authentic, hot and fresh. Great and warm service. Good value for $$$$ spent
Cute inside. Good food but small quantity. Very fast (maybe because we were the only 2 people there.
The atmosphere was nice, everything we ate was really good. The fish sauce wings were excellent. I had the garlic pepper chicken was so good. We'll be back for sure. It's a great spot that adds to the variety in the area.
food is good for the most part, but my review has gone down after watching them pour me a glass of lemonade from a store bought bottle (like a $3 bottle from the refrigerated isle) and then charge me nearly the same price for a single cup of it.
Just avoid the lemonade and you will enjoy it here.
My wife and I have been to dinner twice. Great food and service both times. We will definitely be back.
Amazing food and service. I would highly recommend the Short Ribs or the Tam Yam soup. Over all it is awesome
Food is fresh and delicious. Portions are robust but healthy. The service is homey and very pleasant.
Some of the worst Thai food I've had in this area. Also, they didn't honor the prices they had posted on their website. Even after showing the lady THEIR WEBSITE and their prices on my phone, she said, "I'm sorry, we updated price." I paid 8 dollars more than what I expected based on their site menu, for sub-par Thai food. F-
Good food, good portions, presented very well.
The food is excellent!
Until tonight only had delivered. Perfect in everyday for dine in. Such a neighborhood gem!
Nice salad rolls.
We've ordered take-out from here dozens of times and it is consistently good. All of the curries are delicious but my favorite is the basil fried rice. My wife says the Pad Thai isnt always the best (oily and/or bland) but that's about it. We are glad to have them in our back yard!
The food was good, but a little pricey.
Bbq pork fried rice, yakisoba noodles with chicken, Pra Ram w/shrimp. Everything was delish!!! The German beer was amazing too! Great flavor! The rice had fresh basil, hint ifcoconut right amount of heat...soooo good! It is beautifully decorated, super clean including restrooms. You must try it out!
Great food, service, and relaxing atmosphere.
Great food, good variety, staff is very friendly.
Had a late dinner, food was fabulous, Tom yum flavor was outstanding, noodle dishes were delicious! This is a fairly new restaurant, we will definitely be dining there often, please support this new Bistro, give them a try!
Go to pick up an online order, was told 10-15 minutes still. After half an hour the manager finally admitted it wasn't even started yet. One star for lying to me and wasting my time and money.
The food eaten there was even more delicious than take-out. Not surprising, but still delightful. Enjoyed sitting outside on the patio.
Lots of tables and seating outside. Friendly staff. Great pad Thai & delicious mixed drinks. No happy hour is the only reason for one less star. Service, food and drink all high level. Reasonable prices for the food. Mixed drinks a bit overpriced. We would go back.
Tasty food with vegan options. The whole family enjoyed their food. It was fresh and flavorful.
Lovely local Asian food! We have been super happy with our food every time. This was the first time we ate in the restaurant rather than take out. Nice, quiet ambiance where you can actually converse with others while enjoying your meal. Everything we ordered was delicious. Great portions! Very kid friendly as well. Highly recommend!
Amazing food. Now have a regular neighborhood asian restaurant. Seriously the best.
Great ambiance, not too pricey, and food quality exceeded my expectations!
The gyoza, short ribs, and yakisoba noodles were on point. Ordered a whole feast from this place for happy hour. Our two servers were very kind and attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant itself is very clean, neat and beautifully decorated. Thank you :)
Pad Thai tastes good
I cannot believe how good this place is. I’ve tried it twice. I love Asian food and have many favorites. This one is threatening to top the list. Wow. Excellent.
Great food and service.
We had the Tom Yummy Soup. We asked for Coconut Curry broth! it was incredibly good! I highly recommend it! We had Egg Rolls and Calamari too! This place has outstanding service and wonderful food! Chinese/ Thai type. If you like spicy and authentic youll love this place! very clean too. The Thai Coffees are so delicious too! This place is now my favorite! Definitely going to be regulars
Ordered on postmates. Best pad see ew I think I've had in Vancouver, super tasty. Great thai iced coffee!
Thanks!🙂
Love love love this place! One of our favorite Asian/Thai places. So happy we have one in Felida area.
Tried the fish sauce wings for a second time tonight m. First time was good. Tonight not very good. Tried another noodle dish two weeks ago. Not good. Too dry and tasteless. Y’all need to step up the quality and be more consistent or lose your business.
Excellent service and food! The chicken pad thai, massaman chicken and tom yum soup were all amazing.
Dear god, so awful. Ordered the short ribs to go and they were basically inedible. So tough and gross. One rib was over 3/4 fat. And for $15!
Wife called afterwards to complain and was told "That's the way we do it." Well, you do it wrong. Yuck. We will never order from here again.
I've only been there once, yesterday, but I know I'm going back! I ordered the Fish Sauce Wings and the duck curry. I did not know what to expect with the fish sauce wings but what I got was amazing. Whole wings not party sections, I've been told I should have expected that given the style of restaurant, that were crispy and fried to perfection. The sauce itself was a light sweet delicious sauce that I will order again. The duck curry was also great. I knew a little more what to expect getting a curry but wanted to try something that I don't eat often, that's why I ordered the duck. The curry was a delicious red curry and the duck was tender and delicious making me wonder why we don't eat duck more often. I loved it and am excited to go back and try a variety of items on their menu!
Great food and great service
Just had pad Thai, drunken noodles and yaki soba. It’s the blandest Asian food I’ve ever tasted. I’m actually shocked that three separate things could be this flavorless.
Two stars for being hot and fast.
Don't let the "generic" name drive you off -- this place is the real deal, from the Pad Thai, the Red Curry, the Korean Short Ribs, and the Lemongrass Chicken. Flavorful food and good sized portions! Welcome to Felida, Local Asian Bistro!
First time there and it was super delicious!!! I'm vegan so it's nice to find a restaurant like this one with cleat marked vegan options!! Their rice is super delicious and I also got a very tasty eggplant dish!!
Great food! Korean food like my mom used to make! Hot & not greasy...fast and friendly service. My family's new go to Asian Bistro for sure! Give it a try, my granddaughter loves the food! Good portions too!
We had a good dinner here service was great
Great place, food and service 👍👍👍
Always great food and exceptional service.
Best calamari ever, we got it to go and still nice and crispy by the time we ate it. Also had a steak salad that was very good and all the sauces were good. Will be going there again.
Stood at the door for 15 minutes no response from anyone!! Left!!
Good Thai food friendly people.
Excellent food and atmosphere! Staff was incredibly nice and they got us our food quickly. Recommended. :-)
Ribs were tough. Everything is extremely sweet.
So good. Amazing and nice staff.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Will go back for sure.
Hoping it was a fluke, and will try them again, but last night, I had takeout pad thai with waaaay undercooked noodles, and salad rolls that I couldn't bite through...the rice wrappers were like leather. Not sure what happened, but my meal was inedible. :( On the flip side, the service was fantastic and friendly despite them being quite busy. Hope the food is better next time.
Great food. Can't comment on service since COVID still has dine in shut down.
New At Erickson Farms in Felida. You gotta try this restaurant. Great service. Serves Alcoholic Beverages. There wasn't anything I didn't love. The Chef has out done him self. They do take out no delivery.
Great food and service
Typical Thai style restaurant with some Vietnamese mixed in. Even some miso soup. Nice attractive little place in a nice little town. Nothing particularly spectacular I'm not the food. But it is rather tasty.
The chicken's wings were served hot and crispy what's housemaid sauce similar to a sweet chili sauce. Calamari was a little on the heavy side serve with a similar sauce. Like I said tasty but not great
An outstanding place whether you eat in or order takeout. My wife and I have done both and each time has been a wonderful tasting experience. Their curry and noodle dishes are delicious and I must recommend their pineapple fried rice! If you want it spicy, you only have to ask.
Holy smokes. I was not expecting some of the best Thai food I’ve had outside Thailand to be found in Felida, WA... and I’ve eaten my way through many Thai restaurants in NYC/SF. This place serves authentic Thai food, not Americanized Thai food. We got the drunken noodles with bbq pork & the tom yum noodles (4/5 spicy was perfect for me - I love spice)
Just finished takeout from Local Asian Bistro in the Erickson Farms shopping center. Flavor was great, food was still hot when we got home, portions were good, and price is reasonable. The restaurant is very clean and I was greeted by a very pleasant masked cashier and I was in and out in about 1 minute. Will definitely do takeout from here again.
My wife and I ordered take out from Local Asian Bistro the first day that they opened and it was delicious. We ordered the eggplant dish, egg rolls, salad rolls, and gyoza. Next time we are going to try the short ribs and some other dishes as they all look yummy!
Great food and friendly service.
Several meals so far, everyone has been great! Best Mussuman Curry ever!
Have eaten here three times now and the food and carry out service has been excellent!!
