Unassuming outpost preparing a range of traditional Thai plates with custom spice levels.
This place was absolutely worth it! We are visiting the area and took a chance on this place. The food is presented very beautifully. It is fresh looking and vibrant. My picture does not do it justice. The flavors are so good. I had the Cashew Beef with mild spice and it was a flavor explosion. The others in my party were just as happy with their orders. The staff was also very gracious and friendly. If I lived here, I would be a regular customer.
From the Thai tea, vietnamese coffee, squash pineapple chicken curry or the garlic chicken, it was all OUTSTANDING. Make you wish for deeper pockets and increased storage capacity to be able to indulge in all they offer! New regular spot!
Be advised, their 3 is definitely above medium on their 1-5 spice level
Always great food. We eat Thai food often at different restaurants and this is the best. We order takeout from there at least twice a month and love everything we order.

I don't know what happened, but today 2/6/25 the cook is serving up rotten chicken. 2 bites in the chicken was really chewy and sour.
My stomach revolted. I wish this shop had consistency. I would suggest this Thai spot for vegetarian dishes opting for tofu going forward. Also I had called ahead and ordered this for pickup, thinking it would be quick and easy, but on arrival the counter lady was on the phone and didn't acknowledge 3 of us waiting customers for 10 minutes. Bleh

This Tom Ka tonight is the best I've ever had, anywhere! I am shocked. This place has changed a lot over the years, definitely for the better. Keep cooking like this please, my opinion has completely changed on Khao San Road. Delicious. Very good spring rolls too
There is an overview photo on DoorDash of an amazing looking chicken dish at this restaurant, but it doesn’t actually appear to be available on the menu :’(

Great food and service. Great avocado curry and papaya salad!
They only gave me half my order and "can't find the order" 30 minutes later and won't give me my money back
Always an amazing lunch spot. Great staff! Delicious pad Thai and you can’t skip the Thai iced tea

Solid Thai and Vietnamese place!
Excellent Thai food with quick service at a good price.
My first time here. The food was great, very fresh and reasonably priced. The folks were very friendly and the service was very good
The food was delicious and beautifully plated.
I always order the crispy garlic chicken and it is so delicious every time, I also love how you can choose your spice level and the customer service is great. Although pricing is high its still a great place to dine.
The best Thai food I had in a while - the quality is amazing and they are so vegetable forward. All around great experience
Garlic chicken was amazing!
I stumbled upon this place on accident and I'm so glad I did. I drive all the way from Bellevue just to get their curry.... It's the best!! The service is excellent also!
Great food. I think their five star hot needs to be a lot hotter.
A-Maze-ing!! This always has been my go-to place for ten years, since I first found it!
The yellow curry is addictive
My curry bowl was not closed properly and came in a thin paper bag. It spilled out into my bag which tore open when I picked it up. I now have a complete mess in my vehicle and only rice to eat.
Tom Yum was wrong - was sweet. Other dishes ok, but not authentic Thai.
Had the friend rice with crispy tofu. Very mediocre, tasted burnt, and tofu was obviously burnt.
Would come back, there’s better Thai places in seattle.
Also, the waitress was not super helpful or nice with taking our orders.
Fantastic food, usually come here for their curry/rice
The pad see ew was truly something magical. Changed my life. 6/5 stars. We ate it in the car while driving to Bellingham at night and it was one of the best meals of the year.
Made a delicious dish off-menu to accommodate my dietary needs (vegan, gluten free). It was super delicious and they made sure I knew it was no trouble at all. Tons of food by the way - fed me for two days! For what it’s worth, Yellow curry is also V/GF.
Recently visited this place (couple of times in a month). Excellent food. Very Friendly staff. Value for your money. Easy Free Parking. Quick service. Everything we ordered was very good (except lemongrass chicken was little too salty). Highly recommend this place.
Ordered salad rolls and pad kee Mao, it came out in less than 10 minutes! They actually put mint in their salad rolls, that's impossible to find anymore. They didn't put basil or cilantro in it which can be fixed but I'm so proud of them for mint.
Great flavor
I highly recommend this restaurant. Good quality, delicious, and friendly service, and one of the best Thai restaurant I've been to.
Stopped in for lunch on Saturday for some yummy Thai food. I wanted a repeat experience we had had last time both with dining in and with the food. It was so delicious. We were given print outs of a QR code and told we had to look at the menu on our phones. What? Why? When scanned, it opened some food delivery app where we had choices of Pho and other Vietnamese dishes. When the young girl returned, we asked if we could order Thai food instead, so she went and printed the register receipt with the QR code for the Thai menu. Really? We can't just have a real menu to look at? This is a sit down restaurant, right? We had real menus last time we stopped in. Took me a bit to find what I thought was the same dish I had last time because looking at the tiny pictures on the phone with a short few word description was trying. Got the dish, it looked and smelled wonderful, but it was drowning in some sweet & salty sauce that would have been ok if they hadn't drown the food in it. In my opinion, sauteed Thai food should be fresh without a lot of heavy sauces, but they pored it on like some Chinese places drown their food in goo.
Overall, it wasn't a very pleasant experience, and I probably won't ever go back. Too bad for me and for them.
Amazing flavor. 5 star panang curry.
**update as of 2022...
I think the flavor is still good, but i can't afford this place anymore. Everything has basically doubled in price. Sorry guys, I cant afford $22 for curry and rice plus tax.
Amazing value for the delicious food and friendly service. Had a great night with a friend, the server was kind and accommodating to us being there till closing. The Holy Chicken was filled with savory chicken and 2 whole eggs cooked atop the chicken and vegetables. Cannot wait to be back for another lovely meal
Ordered to go crispy garlic chicken and beef phad Thai. The food was delicious. A little pricy for a small restaurant. But seems like eating out is more expensive these days. Can't wait to try other dishes next time.
The food was really good… until I saw someone from the kitchen pick their nose and then they had a coughing fit shortly after. I will never eat here again nor recommend it.
Great service, great food
The curries are heavenly! I have never even seen Avocado Curry nor Squash and Pineapple Curry on a menu before so I ordered both for the family. They were amazing! I am dreaming of the Avocado curry still...
My favorite Thai place in the area. If you like it spicy, order a star up.
The best chicken Pad Thai we’ve ever had! The bubble tea from next door is amazing too! We drive 2 1/2 hours just to get lunch.
Arrived to a closed sign with instructions to report next door to " Pho Hiho" for pick ups and dine in? Asked server if this was Thai Crusine she said " yes", for tonight only. I thought that was odd. I asked if same owner for both places? No answer. Ordered Prawn Phad Thai and fried spring rolls. Then server comes from the " back of the restaurant with my order. ( kitchen Was in the front). Not sure what the deal is? My Phad Thai was terrible. Noodles hard and chewy under cooked. Asked for 2 stars, no spice at all. The spring rolls looked like fat egg rolls deep fried in dirty oil. No flavor, tasted like it was not fresh. My food was not hot barely warm. The arrangement of the next door business cooking the Thai food is bizarre, this is a Vietnamese restaurant. Curious if this may be a Public Health issue, it appears that my food came from the backdoor and kitchen from Thai restaurant. Needless to say I won't return. Wasted $30 including 18% tip. I didn't want to rip off the server, since it was not her decision. With sign displayed in window, it doesn't appear to be one night only
Salad rolls: lovely*. Everything else: sugary, to a truly unusual degree among the Thai restaurants I've eaten at. I mean obnoxiously sweet. And I'm sad about that, because I tried noodles, curries, and soups, and it's hard to taste anything else but the sweet. So many other flavors drowned out.
* the sauce for the salad rolls was also sugary.
This is the best Thai food place. Everything on the menu that I have tried is amazing —freshly made, great portion sizes, and so flavorful. I recommend their Pad Thai, yellow curry chicken, and crispy garlic chicken, you can’t go wrong with any of those. I love spicy food but err on the spice of caution, they will make it /spicy/!
Love this place! Very clean and kind, prompt service! The food is wonderful! I’ve had the chicken panang and the pad Thai. Both were exceptional with sizable portions. I keep going back!
Great quality service!
The chicken Pad Thai is always delicious.
A little pricey but you get what you pay for. We got our food with prawns this time & it was probably the most prawns we've got in an order ever anywhere. We really like the food here and have previous great experiences.
Fantastic people, food, and atmosphere!
Ordered Pad Kee Mao Noodles with chicken, Panang curry with chicken, steamed rice, and mango sticky rice for dinner.
The rice was either undercooked or old, or both.
The Kee Mao had a funny flavor. It was salty and had very few vegetables, and the ones there didn't seem fresh. The chicken was dry and touch, and the noodles were mushy.
The Panang curry was ok, creamy and with a good spice level, although it tasted a bit fish sauce-y. The chicken in that was also dry and tough though.
The portions were huge, like almost twice what I'd expect from other restaurants. This was actually kind of off-putting, it felt like volume was trying to compensate for quality.
The Mango Sticky Rice was ok, the fruit was ripe and tender, the rice was slightly mushy but good.
Overall a disappointing experience. There's lots of very good Thai food in Seattle, but this isn't it.
Absolutely love this place, I go here all the time for lunch as I work close by. The food is always delicious and prepared with care. I’m a junkie for their Thai iced tea! And they always accommodate if I want vegetarian or vegan options. Plus the space is a vibe, great music and the decor is fun and inviting. Staff is always friendly and nice.
Everyone at our little crystal shop absolutely adores this Thai restaurant. The food is amazing and prepared with care. They always ask to be sure you get it the way that you want it, and offer nice sides to go with it. They are always accommodating to our vegan and vegetarian associates as well. The thai iced tea is delicious and keeps you fueled throughout the day. Plus the vibe of the restaurant itself is great. I love the music and the decorations. and its spacious and feels welcoming. Plus they are open later for when we want to pop over for a quick snack before the end of the day!
I’ve been coming here since high school…..so almost 8 years. They have never disappointed me and I eat them almost everyday for lunch lol I highly recommend them!!
So I’m really picky. I love Thai food, but it haaaaaas to be done right. Khao San is spectacular. I do modify a bit, because most Thai food is too sweet for me, so I ask for no additional sugar or minimal sugar.
The waitresses don’t speak English as well, so definitely suggest ordering on postmates w your adjustments if any. The chefs speak English well, and understand.
I am always so impressed with their food. Highly, highly recommend (once the sugar is reduced, haha).
Wish they answered their phone more, and that they were actually in store when I showed up to pick my order up. Once is a fluke, twice is strange, 3 times is a problem.
Truly was a bad experience felt like they were rude I went in with my husband and we are black with locs so yes I feel we were treated rudely because we were black he clearly made us stand by the window but the way he asked us was very loud and rude made me feel entirely uncomfortable and sad part is that I am a buisness owner myself ! It’s heart breaking and sad they way that some blacks are treated when it comes to some Ethnicities and people who believe their superior then us
Food was absolutely delicious. Top tier Thai food! The rest of this will be a story of how awesome Tony was.
So I brought my dog in, as a lot of Asian restaurants don't seem to mind. After sitting down and getting menus, Tony came over and broke the news to me. He said he loves dogs, and wouldn't mind if we were the only customers, but he has to be mindful of others coming in, and their aversion to dogs.
He then offered to pick up a table and put it outside in the beautiful weather-- we said yes, and then he brought a water dish for my dog. It was so perfect to eat such great food outside in the beautiful weather, and Tony was so nice and understanding.
I admit, I put him in a tough position, but the compromise turned into something really special.
Tony seems like a higher up manager, or maybe owner, so you can expect an awesome person like him to be there for awhile. So yourselves a favor and come experience great food, great service, and wonderful accommodations at Khao San Road :)
We've found our new go-to spot for takeout! I can't speak to the dining in experience, but the food is very good, prices are reasonable, portions are good and packed neatly with the garnishes separated from the hot stuff.
Great thai dishes! Fresh and hot wok-fried food and plus, their signature crispy chicken!
Make your level of spicy and ready to enjoy! Don't forget the thai ice tea along with your meal!
great
Perhaps the richest and creamiest Panang Curry I have ever had. Top marks on flavor. A little sweet basil on the side might suit some people better.
It is a little hard to spot the chicken which may have been sliced or minced.
I ordered 3/5 stars in spice and got exactly that, spicy enough to know but not over powering the flavor.
The "Salad Rolls" are Stuffed full of goodness to the point that getting one in your mouth is a challenge.
Do not expect this is be cheap, but one order is more than enough for 2 people, maybe 3-4 if they are only peckish and each get their own rice.
Nice ambiance, for any occasion.
Crispy garlic chicken is so good!!
Don't bother ordering takeout in person; they prioritize doordash/ubereats/grubhub, etc orders over yours. Also they use a microwave to make some of the dishes. I waited an hour for just-okay food when they said 35 minutes. I could have gone next door and got pho in 15 minutes.
Great customer service and love their food. Anything I have tried has great flavor.and ingredients are fresh! Thank you!
My new favorite Thai place! Definitely worth driving over to pick up your food. Parking is easy.
Humble appearance on the outside, but I had a really good tofu pad thai (take out)! They packed peanuts separately so they stayed crispy and dry. They also included a separate container with the bean sprouts, shaved cabbage, and herbs. All the veggies were super fresh and deliciously bright in flavor. I would definitely get take out here again.
If you have the time, the food is outstanding.
Never dissatisfaction with the Thai food here. Very friendly service.
I ordered a TOFU dish as I am vegetarian, and was given TOFU and CHICKEN. No where in the dish description was chicken listed. If you can't do something as basic as putting the correct ingredients in your food, then you shouldn't be in business. All vegetarians and vegans should avoid this place at all costs.
So happy I found this place.. Very delicious cashew chicken. Customer service is nice as well.
I went to restaurant to eat a pork chop fried rice to go and after I order pay they tell me it is gonna take 20 minutes which one I didn't have the time because I only have 30 minutes of brake and I ask for my money back they said the only person who could do it was the owner and he wasn't there
A hidden gem around BFI. I havent been able to find a single item on the menu that isnt delicious. Very fast also so perfect for lunch.
Friendly and always good food. The spice level is a little inconsistent but the food is definitely worth it.
Only been here once with a friend.
We ordered Panang curry with chicken and lemongrass chicken. I loved the Panang curry and liked the lemongrass chicken.
Lemongrass chicken is Thai style obviously, which is very different from Vietnamese, never had that before.
Staff was super friendly and very attentive to us despite of being lunch rush hour. Will definitely comeback.
I am not sure who would give anything less that 5 stars for this place. Green curry 5 star, Penang 5 star service 5 star. If you don't like their creamy curry bases and fresh ingredients best stick with the food across the street at the Shell gas station
Food is Devine.
I get the Chicken Phai Thai for lunch all time
This place is above average on flavor. The spring rolls are good, but not exceptional. The squash pineapple curry is tasty. I also enjoy the Pad kee mao with a heat of two. Spicy, but can still taste the food.
Also appreciate the vicinity to work.
Price is okay, but you still pay for the rice... doesn't automatically come with the curry.
Fresh, delicious food. I love the salad rolls!
Food is good and big portions. Staff is very friendly and attractive. That helps the food taste better🌡
I'm not sure it's Thai but it's really tasty.
This place is very hit or miss depending on who is working & how busy it is that day. Today marks the worst experience I've had going here and most likely my last time I ever give them my business. It wasn't very busy, the waitress/cashier took my to go order, I sat an waited for almost 30 mins before I got up to go check. As soon as I got up, the same waitress who took my order came over to ask what I was waiting for. Turns out my food had been ready & sitting on the counter for about 15 mins before I got up and they didn't say anything... Food was luke warm by the time I was able to eat it. The food is mediocre as well, don't waste your time or money.
The food was delicious.
No Gluten Free AT ALL - Restaurant will not work with you and even their Pad Thai (which is gluten free at most places) is Gluten Free. They will not even work with you at all.
the staff was nice and friendly, food was delicious
Food is great unless they get busy. They tend to undercook things and just move it out the door. Not happy!
Was hoping to find a good Thai in this area. Ordered the Beef Prig Khing. The beef was extremely chewy and the rice was stale and dry. Keep on looking cause this is not worth a second try.
Great food and friendly service. Gets a bit busy at the lunch time hour. Go a little early or a little later to beat the crowd.
Went there yesterday and ordered the stir fry veggies with shrimp and fried spring rolls. Yuck! I had a few bites of the spring rolls that we're kinda soggy inside and my shrimp was rotten and I ended up puking after I left. Paid for my meal and they didn't even offer a discount or anything. Never going back
Miscommunication of phone order and then treated terribly after like it was my fault. Was left to sit alone while they gave me rude looks. Do not go here ever! Terrible customer service.
Good food
Good food but not to clean seats!
Their pad thai is the best of all the ones I've had in the Seattle area. The way they make it, with firmer thin and dry noodles is just the way I prefer it.
Greeted warmly, good service and an Incredibly tasty noodle dish. Good selection of dishes and imported Asian beers including the legendary Beer Lao. Nice cheap dinner.
Had beef broccoli, it was delicious.
Staff was nice
Meal was brought out quickly.
Very bad dish. I have eaten Phad Kee Mao all over the globe and this was without a doubt, the worst. It was literally swimming in hot sauce (and I do mean literally, there was a pond of what looked like sriracha at the bottom of the to go box). There was no fish sauce or oyster sauce that I could taste - just blazing hot sauce. I had to rinse it off to make it edible. It wasn't much better then, as whatever there was of the base sauce favors to begin with were gone, only the hot sauce remained. I ended up eating about 1/8 and throwing the rest out in disgust. Truly awful. I wish I hadn't tipped them 50%, but Phad Kee Mao is hard to screw up and I was pretty sure I would have a good meal here. I was so wrong.
Good food friendly service. Doesn't break the bank.
Bad service. Food is average. Compressor making very loud noise.
Clean and nicely decorated restaurant. Tasty with generous portions of vegetables, and quick and courteous service. Fair prices.
