I have eaten at Gatiem Thai a few times now and every time it has been excellent! Most recently, I had the Green Curry, which was fantastic and perfect for this cold weather.

Whether we were dining in or taking away, the staff at Gatiem Thai were super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. They even took the time to chat with us and suggest some great dishes. It’s always nice to feel genuinely welcomed. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Small portions. The kee mao noodle we had was overcooked and so salty. The green curry at least had a decent amount of veggies and meat; however the beef cuts weren't very tender. We picked chicken as the meat for our tom yum noodle soup, and the chicken was minced/grounded which was so strange because it was very dry in that form.

A new thai restaurant in MLT area worth the visit! We had a couple of their appetizers, pad thai and garlic fried rice. All were delicious and the portion size were of decent to share between my husband and I. My ultimate fave was the mango sticky rice!

Decided to visit as everyone in the MLT community said this place was so great but goodness was it lack luster and average. Portions were not super large and we ordered 4 different dishes. Each dish we received we wanted to eat less as the flavor was not there to the point where I lost my appetite. The quality of the meat is not there.

This place has plants from floor to ceiling and I love it! I had the green curry with chicken and it was delicious. And the staff was lovely so it was a great experience all around.

We had Phad Thai and Panang Curry, both dishes were rather bland. Noodles were unlike any other Thai noodles I have eaten; more like thin spaghetti.

We ordered the crab wonton, pineapple curry fried rice, and the daily special (green papaya salad, chicken wings, and sticky rice). At Thai restaurants, the spice level can vary a lot as it tends to be on the milder side even if you order 3/5 stars. But Gatiem’s spice was on point! We could taste the spice in both main dishes and were happy with the food we got. The owners are super nice and attentive and the overall vibe of the restaurant is cozy as you will see multiple different plants inside.

We will definitely be back again to try their other dishes!

Highly recommend! We went here for lunch on a Sunday with my niece. There were so many decorations, plants, Beta Fish and toys to look at. It made for a very fun afternoon. The food was great with lovely service.

Oh yeah, our new favorite Thai place! It smells just like the kitchens and restaurants in Thailand. Truly authentic meals, super savory and high quality. We ordered Massaman Curry with 3 stars and the spice level was spot-on (which is so hard to find elsewhere!). Also ordered the Thai Fried Rice which was deeeeelicious. Not only was the spice level *perfect* on both dishes, but get this: the chicken was cooked perfectly too! How many times have you ordered the chicken at Indian or Thai places but it was dry and overcooked? Not here ~ !! It was thoroughly cooked without being overdone, which is truly hard to find. I ordered online directly from their website for pick up, which was a breeze and it worked perfectly. Next time we'll dine there because the staff was so sweet and friendly with that trademark Thai smile! Thank you Gatiem -- we'll be back frequently.

Recently moved to Mountlake Terrace and have been exploring local restaurants. The food was very good and the service was outstanding! The server/owner is very kind and attentive. This is now my go to Thai place!

Ordered pickup, got the spring rolls, chicken larb salad, yellow curry, and pad see lew. The food was great, and a 2 on the spicy scale was the perfect amount of heat for me.

I got Tom Yum Thai soup for take-away and it was DELICIOUS! The minced pork was nicely seasoned and there just the right amount of lime. Highly recommend!

Excellent dishes with, agreed with some other reviewers, smaller portions than some. That said, I might *want* gargantuan portions, but do I *need* them?

Food: we got the Pad see ew and the massamum curry and both were very delicious. The spice level was perfect for what we chose and the flavors were really on point. Value was great as well.

Service and ambience: my first thought coming into this place is what acquaint and cozy little restaurant this is. It's filled with plants and unique figurines and funky dolls even. The man who served us was super friendly and you can tell he was very happy as well. He checked in on us often and made sure everything was going well.

Everything about this place makes me want to come back Soon.

This place served me one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve ever had with the kindest service I could have hoped for. Well-spiced, perfectly cooked rice, delicious veggies. The spring rolls were so good! Not too greasy but still so crunchy and fresh. The kee mao noodles were also incredible, and the best my friend ever had. The only downside was the pad thai was a bit bland, didn’t have many veggies, and wasn’t spiced as well as the other dishes we tried. Still, cannot wait to come back here! It can honestly be tough to find such amazing food in Seattle; this place is a true gem.

Wonder, relaxing music complementing a lovely, inviting atmosphere with an inspiring array of happy plants and colorful, fun-named betas spotted throughout the foliage. The owner greeted us and immediately sat us, brought us filtered, cool water and a pink place setting for our four-year-old daughter. She was tickled and enjoyed distracting herself by reading the names of the betas, and looking for characters amongst the cascading leaves. The food came quickly and was delicious! Authentic, and full of a variety of veggies on the dishes we asked for no meat. Definitely our new go-to spot whenever we are in town! Khap khun kaa!

This food is very delicious. I am picky with my Thai food and this was exactly what I wanted.
Got the pad see ew, Penang curry and Thai fried rice for mains and all were excellent. Also got the pot stickers and they were exceptional.

Stopped by on a whim and really enjoyed my food. Warm atmosphere/friendly folks. They had golden noodles, which I don’t always see at thai restaurants and is such an awesome comfort food. I asked for Spicy and they delivered! Nice to get properly warm food without having to heap extra chilisauce on top and smother the flavor. I’ll be back. :)

Found this place when passing through town and it was probably some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Fast friendly service and quality ingredients. Can’t ask for much else

We reside directly across the street from this establishment, which has prompted us to dine here on six separate occasions. While the quality of the food is satisfactory, it does not rank as the best or worst Thai cuisine I have experienced. The pricing for each dish is comparatively lower, approximately $1 to $2 less than most other Thai restaurants. However, it is important to note that the portion sizes are also smaller. Despite not being particularly large eaters, my wife and I consistently require three dishes to achieve satiation. Increasing the portion sizes while maintaining or slightly raising the prices would be a more favorable approach.

We ordered Pad Thai, green curry with tofu, and chicken wings. All of the dishes were bland and lacked flavor. The green curry's consistency was watery, resembling a soup, and it contained only five tofu cubes with minimal vegetables. The Pad Thai was slightly better but still dry and tasteless. The food needs more authentic Thai flavors. However, the owner was very friendly. I plan to visit once more before updating my review.

Tasty, well-prepared food (my favorite is the pad kee mao, and really nice service. I think the portion size is perfect! The interior is full of plants and is very restful.

Absolutely hands-down delicious! When I first discovered Thai food many years ago I ate so much Pad Thai that I got sick of it. I didn't think it was possible but this place has managed to renew my love of that dish. They make it more savory than sweet which is really the aspect that I got sick of. All other dishes we tried here were excellent too--great flavors and cooked to perfection. The interior of the place is also well done; it has a relaxing effect. My daughter loved the fish swimming between the roots of the plants in the decorative vases :) On top of all of that, the the service was outstanding. Drinks were kept topped off without even having to ask. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.

Thrilled to live a few blocks from here, it's one of our go-tos for takeaway. From what we've had so far the curries are where this place shines. We've had green, red, and panang so far - I could eat them every day and be completely satisfied. Same for the crab wontons, chicken satay, and the basil fried rice.

They've added outdoor seating. It's a simple, really pleasant setup.

Yakisoba and Rama noodles were so good! Looking forward to trying more

I really hate to write bad reviews for new restaurants, but I have to for this one. While the service and atmosphere was great, this had to be one of the worst food experiences for Thai food I have had a in a long time. Pad Thai is a staple of any Thai restaurant in this area. I am well aware this is not "real" Thai food, but the dish itself was flavorless, no spice even though we asked for it, and the noodles were basic spaghetti noodles. So odd. The Pad See Ew - also a staple - tasted completely off and the best term I can give is burnt. I really hope they make it as a small business, but certainly will not be returning. We tried this place on a whim after our regular spot was closed early.

I’ve been looking for a Thai place that has the hot wok flavor in their food. This place does it! My daughters love noodles so we’ve tried the pad Thai and pad see ew and both are great. Mango sticky rice is yummy. we’ll be back to try other stuff. Only gripe- portion is enough for my 4 year old to eat all by herself.

Ingredients are fresh and the place is clean, nice service. I was disappointed that the old B&W noodle closed because it served Thai noodle soup dishes that were harder to find and more authentic. B&W had a small menu of things they did well.

If you’re the kind of person that’s happy with pad Thai loaded with sugar and oil and other American classics you won’t be disappointed here but I’m going to have to continue my search for delicious Thai food outside my neighborhood of MLT sadly.

A delicious Thai restaurant that recently opened in MLT. The staff was very friendly and prompt. They were very busy with in house and to go orders so we were told it would be a little longer wait which was completely understandable. More importantly, it was well worth the wait. The pad see ew was one of the best we have ever had, the spring rolls and swimming rama were Devine too. Can't wait to put Gatiem on our rotation of take out orders so delicious and worth every penny. We will be back for sure.

We had the Basil Chicken, Khao Mun Gai, Rangoon, and Thai Iced Tea. Our favorite was the Basil Chicken, although it was all delicious. The staff is all very friendly and we will be back to try out the rest of the menu!

We had the pleasure of tasting their dishes as they were being conceived, and I must say that the result is amazing. The crab rangoons were perfectly fried, delicious and creamy, the chicken curry and rice was nicely seasoned, and had just the right amount of all the flavors, and their garlic rice was on point. I can't wait to come back and try more of their awesome creations! Not only was the food delicious, but the staff are just awesome people!
