My twin and I had an amazing and delicious experience. We were attended to by a sweet and competent young waitress.
Their pumpkin curry with fried tofu is really delicious; spice level three had a nice bit of heat; I may try four next time to be bold! 🌶 We also had prawn spring rolls and their sauce, while mild, was also very tasty.
This is a place I will most certainly be recommending to my friends and colleagues as well as ordering from time and again.

That said, we recently had an experience that was absolutely terrible. My fiancé ordered the Namtok. (Salad). When it arrived she took one bite and said she thought the meat was bad. She asked me to try. I took a small bite and agreed. We both had to spit it out into a napkin. We told the waitress the sliced beef was foul. My fiancé ordered something different and that was fine. When we received the bill, they charged us for the Namtok that was bad and also the replacement entree. We said something about it and they said, Namtok was the most expensive item on their menu and we ate some of it. In the end, I think they gave a credit for the replacement entree, but it was not a $21 dollar entree.

I think this is poor business. The meat was bad. It happens. We don’t fault them for that, but the way they handled it was very poor.

While we used to get food there once a week, we have not been back and I doubt we will return.

Food is great here

This place used to have the best orange chicken. It was crunchy, fresh, big pieces of chicken. They unfortunately changed their orange chicken and now it tastes like frozen chicken nugget quality chicken. They told me it was because people complained about the chicken being too crunchy but I don’t buy it. The chicken quality was significantly worse than before

The food and service was amazing. We will definitely be back.

I LOVE this place! It's a little pricey, but that's fairly common with good Thai food places, so I don't mind. The food is terrific every time. Never been disappointed! The only thing I wish they had is fresh spring rolls with shrimp instead of tofu, but it's still delectable so I'm not complaining.

The food was delicious, our water was never empty, and we were greeted with smiles and a very welcoming atmosphere. Tried this place on a whim and will definitely be going back it was amazing!

Food was ok, service was a bit slow. This place gets a lot of take our order so the door is constantly opened and people coming and going which makes it hard to relax with how they have the seating arranged and how cold it gets.

My go to pick for Lake Steven's. Service is quick and easy. Staff is friendly and often seem like they are having fun. I have either Phad Thai or Yellow Curry (often both) and I'd say it is on my top 3 Thai in all of Washington.

Needed somewhere to stop on the way home. We were in and out in 40 minutes. Food (calamari, pot stickers, yellow curry, pad thai) was fresh and delicious, service was friendly, and space was clean and comfortable.

Their special Honey Pork with sticky rice is killer gotta check it out

This has typically been our go to Thai food place. As usual, I made an online order for pick up. It was very busy, due to Valentine’s Day. Several online orders were sitting on the counter. It took a while for me to pay for and pick up my order. I ordered the crab fried rice, prawn rolls, and Phad thai. The fried rice was okay. My husband enjoyed the phad Thai. The prawns were really good. However, my husband’s stomach was upset all night and I ended up with food poisoning. I probably wont be ordering from there anymore.

We experienced some of the most unsatisfactory service imaginable during our visit to the restaurant. Upon entering the nearly empty establishment, we endured a wait of over 10 minutes before being seated. Eventually, someone whom I assumed was the owner provided us with water and menus before departing. However, we waited for more than 25 minutes without anyone taking our order, despite witnessing subsequent arrivals being promptly served. When I approached one of the staff members to inquire about ordering, she curtly instructed me to remain seated. Subsequently, the individual who initially seated us approached us in a rude manner, demanding our order. Feeling increasingly frustrated, I expressed our extended wait, only to be met with dismissive responses. Fed up, I expressed our intention to dine elsewhere, highlighting the abysmal service standards. In response, the earlier staff member engaged in a heated argument, accusing us of impatience. Ultimately, we left without placing an order, without having eaten, and feeling deeply disrespected by the entire ordeal.

If I could give them a zero I would. My family and I went for Valentine’s day dinner. We waited about ten minutes at the door before someone finally acknowledged us and basically threw the menus in our face and told us to sit. We had now been there for about 45 minutes and no one had take our order. People who came in after us had been served and some had already left. Once we finally got a waiters attention she told us another few minutes. And then after about 50 minutes of waiting they came up to take our order with so much attitude. It was ridiculous. I had asked why it is taking so long to take our order, and they said they are short staffed and too busy. That is an excuse. How come in about a 50 minute time frame you hadn’t had one or two minutes to take our order? They proceeded to argue with me and my dad. And yelled at us for being inpatient. Very disappointed with the service. Will not be going back to this place ever!

I really like this restaurant - the tofu pad see ew was really yummy and they give you large portions with lots of protein, which is very much appreciated!

Went here for my first time with some family. They suggested the orange chicken.
I was not disappointed. I chose the "five star" spiciness option and it was excellent.
I usually find something I don't like with my dish at other restaurants but this time is an exception. My only complaint is that it got cold in there with all the cold air outside. Yes it's winter so my recommendation is for them to get more heat indoors. Other than that this was exceptional. 😎

Not the tastiest. They charged us $2 extra for chili paste we requested but gave us red pepper instead. Charging for that and it’s not even what we wanted? Very overpriced. The spring rolls were worthless and over fried and greasy.

I ordered to go and asked for rice on the side, I didn’t get any rice, I didn’t get any utinsils either. I work for a cannabis company and I smell like weed, they treated me like I was an issue in there. It’s legal in this state and that’s my job. Your welcome for wasting my money here. Absolutely rude staff who want nothing to do with you. I even tipped like an idiot. My food is pure slob aswell.

This is a great Thai place. I have never had issues with the food. However, when last I ordered on Uber Eats I opted for no protein on a dish and in the notes asked if they could instead provide extra egg. I figure an egg is a pretty fair substitute for chicken or beef right? Instead of saying no, or doing nothing, they revised my fee by a few bucks and "added egg". Although this is a pretty small thing to complain about, it still feels a tad bit scummy.

Good food! Just don't expect any substitutes.

I have gotten take out from here for the last 3 years and have nothing but good things to say! They are always accurate for the pick up time for food. They are always super nice and greet you with a smile when picking up. My go tos are pad kee mao and mango sticky rice when it is in season. Great job Rice up!

We spent over $100.00 for four meals.
1). Garlic chicken…asked for LOTS of extra garlic. It had none! On top of that…the chicken was tough and dry!
2). Two order of Massaman curries…requested four stars…they had NO stars
3). Yellow curry was unremarkable😞

Messed up my order and when I drove back to get the order the owner was extremely rude and acted like I was lying. Unbelievable..

We ordered 2 items and requested fresh tofu on both and only one had it, the other was fried. We ordered one item with chicken on the side so the vegetarians could eat it too but chicken was mixed in.
So sick and tired of to go orders always wrong.

Got take out, pad Thai with fried tofu 6 stars. Absolutely fabulous. The 6 star is beautifully spicy with some hint of sweetness. The noodles are cooked perfectly and absorb the flavor so well! Also love how the veggies are shredded and they blend right in with the noodles so that every bite you get that little crunch. Oh, and the Thai tea is delicious as well!

Since moving to Lake Stevens during the pandemic, we got takeout from Rice Up but didn't have the opportunity to dine there until now.

I was very impressed with our table service. They were very attentive and they brought out kids water cups without us asking, which is great!

My wife ordered phad Thai and I phad Malay, a seafood dish. My kids got a side of broccoli and of pineapple and everything was stellar! That's difficult with kids, but it helps so much to not be waiting around for service, so Rice Up is really kid friendly.

We shared an immense scoop of the coconut ice cream and wow, it tastes homemade and like real coconut and not coconut flavoring. We don't regularly eat sugar and were surprised to find that the ice cream wasn't redolent in sugars!

We'll definitely be back seeing as it's walkable in a few years with the kids.

Been to a LOT of Thai places and this is my favorite so far!

Son had seafood Phad Thai and I ate the pork mushrooms with oyster sauce. Both were great! Had 3/4 of a Thai tea cause the kid kept stealing drinks. Fun modern design and friendly staff.

Big serving, ordered Pork Pad Thai lunch combo is good, more saucy compared to same dish at other restaurant. Spent around $30 for two lunch combos.

One of the only good places in Lake Stevens. (This is a location based review, meaning I’m reviewing This restaurant in comparison to the other food I’ve eaten in the general area. Simply because the review would be really skewed if I went off all the Thai food I’ve ever had- but I will include that opinion at the end if interested. )

I love this place and eat from here a lot. My personal favorite is the Yellow Curry but I have also tried the Green Curry, Panang Curry, and Sweet and Sour Tofu. I was told that all of their curries are vegan as long as you choose tofu or veggie as the “protein” option of course. The spice levels are pretty accurate as well. I normally order a 4, maybe a 3 sometimes.

The curries are delicious and cozy options. My only nitpick is that the portion sizes are small for the price and they don’t give you a lot of tofu. I’ve noticed it’s more filler items like onion than tofu. You can order extra tofu but in my opinion they do not give enough at a baseline. I also opt to order the soft tofu rather than leaving it as the default fried, both because I am unsure if it is GF and because I don’t like the texture. I actually prefer the soft tofu.

The Sweet and Sour Tofu runs into the same problem where it’s not enough tofu for the price and I find myself left with more filler than anything else. The flavor of the sweet and sour itself though is good. 4/5.

For comparison, Bai Tong Thai in Issaquah is a 5/5 for me. So I place this at a 4 for the reasons listed above. (One of the only good options around me, good vegan options, and consistent!)

If i were to compare it to other places out of state I’d drop it to a 3. However, I do love this place and order a lot!! And will continue to. I love the extensive vegan options. I just wish the portion sizes were bigger or that it was cheaper so I could eat it more often.

Got the pad ke Mao 3 star lunch special and it was super delicious. They give you a portion if meat and veggies which I love and the price is reasonable.

Food wasn’t bad but they NEVER give me my drink with my order. On delivery they purposefully short you every single time and then I can’t get refunded so every time they rip me off for $6. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Finally! Pad Thai with lots of wonderful flavor, and this place can bring the heat when you ask for 4 or 5 stars, it’s SUPER spicy. Most places you have to ask for “Thai spicy” for them to take you seriously! 😄 Rice Up is my new favorite!

Careful when you tell 4 or 5 level spice. I eat spice but this is too much. Crisp garlic chicken is very tasty. Curry fired rice never disappoints.

My favorite place for Thai food in Lake Stevens! Cute, smaller restaurant with delicious food, helpful staff, and a nice atmosphere. They usually have a dish special posted above the registers. They do dine in (with good table service) and take out service too - that's who typically pays at the register, otherwise they will bring things to your table. The soups and noodle dishes are excellent. We love the Winton soup, tom Ka soup, and golden Noodle is my favorite entree. My husband likes to try something different every time. Nice big portions, 5 spice levels. And the Thai tea beverages, and seasonal desserts like mango sticky rice or purple sticky rice are excellent too.

Stopped by for lunch as it was less busy than usual. Seated right away. Food was absolutely delicious, and the cook takes pride in what he serves. Fresh spring rolls were plentiful, and peanut sauce was tasty! Pad Thai was yummy, and spice level is ACCURATE, so if you don't like it spicy, stick with level 1.

Nice folks but after a languid wait in line I'm not waiting 30 minutes for an in person to go order. Too bad, looked good, but the 1st impression given was just a waste of time.

Their quality has diminished over the years. What once was our favorite restaurant in all of Lake Stevens, is now not even our first choice in Thai food.
The only items that haven’t changed are their spring rolls (fresh and fried).
The sauces in most of the noodle dishes have either lacked flavor or been completely missing which have left us scavenging the refrigerator for something to liven it up, or they have just had a hard to describe flavor in which we’ve decided to call a stale flavor. And the rice dishes have been so overly salted that we have had to spit it out and just toss it in the garbage. Their curries have been run of the mill, however I just remembered to add that we no longer order chicken in anything they serve because it comes so over cooked that it reminds us of a dry salty jerky. We most recently collected all the chicken from the several dishes we ordered, rinsed it off and fed it to the dog.
We used to order several items off the menu every few months, then it changed to only when guests were over and we needed to have a diversity of meat and vegan options, and now our guests won’t even eat it. We have given far too many chances, but sadly will not be eating at rice up again.

Since day 1 when they opened 5 stars. Always friendly, clean, uplifting environment. And the food is OMG amazing. Everytime. Literally every time the food is amazing. Now I like my food hot. Like temperature hot. And every time my food is hot. I think only 1 time did my soup taste a little different and it was because the mushrooms they needed were not available during the beginning of the pandemic. If you have not tried this restaurant, you must. Rice up is our family's jam.

We ordered 4 different dishes as take-out dinner the other day, all were excellent! In fact they were so delicious that we’re going back later this week!
Reading through the comments I’m not sure why this restaurant doesn’t have primarily 5 star reviews but we’ve eaten at MANY Thai restaurants around the US and in Thailand and the food in this place is among the best!

I don't know how it got so many five start reviews or people who gave those reviews haven't eaten authentic thai food. The food I ordered tasted like dessert and I haven't tasted this sweet pad thai or tom yom sup in the past years.

Great Pad Thai, good spring rolls, and reasonable prices. So far this is our go-to Thai place in the area after having tried a few.

This was probably the most bland Thai food I have ever eaten. I ordered the panang curry and phad see ew both 3 stars with chicken. The curry had more flavor than the phad see ew but still very disappointing. Wouldn’t go back.

My 1st visit was about the same as others. Clean, good service, pleasant atmosphere. I ordered Spring Roll6/pc & delicious. Also ordered Raman w/fried tofu & veggies. The portions large enough to be full & take home for an equally delicious meal. $23. Is good for 2 satisfying meals.

I love this place, I love the pineapple fried rice. Their curry is also great. Lobby was closed for sit down however will be opening up may 1st 2022! Their curry is also great and if you have rice at home for the curry (they do give you some) you can stretch the meal to 4 or 5 helpings!

Love this place. Their food is great but will suggest being careful on what heat level you order. I love hot food and the four is perfect for me but the five is pretty intense. So keep that in kind if you are looking for a heat challenge.

Very tasty, I order the pad Thai online. Food was delicious, fast, and definitely some of the best Thai food in the area. Employees seem sweet and mask up which shows compassion for others that are high risk. I already started eating my order, I should of taken a before photo haha, it looked presentable before. To go experience was excellent, and the few times I have eaten insides it’s been quite lovely as well. My only qualm was peanut sauce being $4, but that’s pretty typical.

Not bad, the food was prepared well. The curries are very tasty. My preference was for the yellow curry. The spring rolls look tasty but were very oily. The staff was friendly and the establishment was very clean. They also offer a small discount if you pay with cash.

Pad Thai is a fail. Chicken is too dry and flavor is sweet as sugar. Other menu items were decent at best.

Their avocado curry, pharam noodles, and pad thai are all some of the best we’ve had.

Rude employees, the female literally told me to leave because they were “closed” and this was in the middle of the day? Who has hours like that.

Ok so I will forever and always be a loyal customer to this place. Best Thai food around Hands down. I wish I could give more than 5 and on my own scaling system they get a 10/10. Go see them to get your take out.

My new favorite Thai place! I drive to pick up here from Marysville it's that good. Be ware that the spice is on point a three star Red and Panang Curry was burning my lips in a good way. The portions are family style or at least thats how my family eats it. One pad Thai is enough for 3 people as a side to rice and curry. I would order extra rice but I had some on hand from dinner a few nights ago so it was fine. We will eat here again!! Thanks Rice Up Thai for the awesome food as always!

Placed order on the phone, Server rushes me, and then messes up the order... Tried to get confirmation and she kept saying "okay, okay" so I assumed she got everything. Then, she argues with me over a straw when I go to pick up the food. I asked for another big straw for the Boba drink and she kept saying she already gave me one, to the point I just left because she was not listening to me, and kept repeating the same thing over and over again.
Server was June I believe, that was the name on the receipt.
I usually go here pretty often, one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. I hope their quality isn't slowly starting to degrade like most other restaurants.

It's been a while since we ate here, but the food food was great. My only criticism is that the chairs are very very hard and uncomfortable.

This place in incredible. Order a 24 and a 25 with pineapple fried rice. Thank me later.

I've always liked Rice Up but now I'm even more impressed. Having to be gluten free due to celiac it's hard to find restaurants that I trust to make safe gluten free food. Rice Up has lots of options that are safe and delicious!

Pretty good thai food, we ordered take out and they were pretty fast. Their Rad Na was pretty good :)

Our favorite pick for takeout! The fresh spring rolls are incredible.

They have an avocado green curry that just hits all the spots when you have a craving. Quick service too, not crazy overpriced. A really good pineapple fried rice and Thai ice tea too!

Really enjoyed the thai food. As someone who likes some heat the lvl 4 heat was excellent.

So delicious! We like Pineapple Curry and Pad Thai w/ Fried Tofu. Careful with the stars. One star is still pretty hot! Also, the young man who took the order and handed me the takeout was super friendly. Great service!

This might be one of the greatest take out restaurants in Lake Stevens. Never seem to disappoint in flavor and food. Very top quality!

Best Thai food around. Loved Thai Mana when we lived down in Edmonds, now we drive down to Rice Up from Arlington whenever the cravings kick in

The food is always outstanding! It stays extremely hot until I get home to eat it, and I can tell everything is fresh. The staff is so kind as well, and I appreciate the standards set in place during this pandemic. Thank you always!

Delicious food great prices, fresh fast and friendly

Absolutely the worst thai food I have ever had! The Pad Thai dish tasted like McDonalds. Their peanut sauce tasted like sugar sauce. And their Garlic Delight dish tasted like bland dog food. Not authentic Thai food, at all. I'm bummed that I spent $45!
