Stylish Thai option offering traditional dishes, including vegan options, plus wine & beer.
I have mixed feelings about this place. I loved the ginger essence soup which came out before our lunch specials and the fried spring rolls. Hot (temperature) and delicious with good layers of flavors. Tasted made -to- order fresh. We ordered the Cashew Chicken lunch special which came with a side of rice and Pad Thai. The Cashew Chicken had "cold spots" like it had been warmed up after being refrigerated and just did not get all the areas hot. Definitely didn't taste like it had been cooked in a high heat wok/skillet. The Pad Thai was pretty decent but also barely warm. The other dish we ordered was the Orange Beef which was tasty but also barely warm and seemed like it had been reheated and didn't get up to a decent temperature.
Surprisingly, delicious, cuisine!! I was a bit skeptical to dine here because my previous experience with eating Thai food was not pleasant😏. However, my dining experience at Thai Bistro has completely changed my perception of Thai cuisine 😋👍🏽. The food was seasoned well and presented with thoughtfulness. I really enjoyed the nice interior, decor, and music played during my visit, too!! Our server was pleasant and attentive. I plan to return here again to try some of the many dishes offered at Thai Bistro.
The food here is a pure flavour bomb. It was so hard to choose what to eat because everything on the menu sounded so delicious. We ended up with Chicken Pad Thai, Crispy noodles with chicken, shrimp, squid and beef and they were both fantastic. We also had an appetizer which was a Thai version of a lettuce wrap but it's made with pieces of lime, peanuts, toasted coconut, dried shrimp, onions, ginger and spinach. At first I was like IDK if I like this because of the huge sour punch from the lime but by the end of the second bite I was loving it. It was incredibly refreshing and the gingery tamarind sauce that came with it was the perfect accompaniment. My Pad Thai was a little sweet for my liking but it was still fantastic and the chicken helped to bring up the savory notes.
My husband's crispy noodle dish was perfect. The noodles were well fried, not greasy and the oil they used to fry them was fresh. They served the protein with sauce separately so you can either keep your noodles crispy or mix it all together. The meats were tender, the vegetables were crisp and everything was served hot.
This is also a great place for a date. The music isn't loud, the decore is beautiful and the ambiance is kind of romantic. It was an excellent dining experience we will definitely be back for more.
Been coming here since it opened. I know the ownership has changed and honestly, it’s still really good. The menu is pretty extensive and also has street food options. I’ve had many different plates and each has always been delicious. The som Tom I’ve ordered multiple times. I like spicy food but with this plate a 3 spicy is toooo hot. Ordered it a medium spicy and it’s warm and cozy. I could’ve done a 2 1/2 stars but I’m glad I could taste all the ingredients.
Also, there was a pad kee mao plate at the table and oh yeah that was delicious too! The Thai ice teas are always so good I wished they came in bigger glasses. The fried banana with coconut ice cream was a really nice touch to finish the meal off. It’s not super sweet and pretty light. The service was good. They came and refilled our waters and checked in to see if we needed anything multiple times. Yes I will come back again.
We order fried rice from here at least twice a month, although the price is insane for fried rice $18-$23. It's rice guys, the cheapest ingredient there is. The best around. Nice flavor, the pulled pork floss is mouth watering, mango was a little sour. The pineapple fried rice is perfect. The pad thai was a little off tasting from traditional flavors. Their appetizers are all delicious. The tamarind dipping sauce, LOVE! Bottle and sell it to me.
I will start with the 1 negative this place had which was if you order online, be warned that you will NOT get the full meal OR be required to pay extra for it.
I have usually gone in person and have ordered the Yellow curry before, it comes with rice and then I usually order extra rice for a fee, no big deal. However this time, today I ordered my lunch Togo online. I selected the Curry and I selected the extra rice for a extra charge. When I picked up my order, I checked it as I would any to go order and saw I only had 1 rice in the bag. When I asked about it, I was told that when you order online, you don't get rice with the meal at all. So I'm paying the same price for the meal as someone who walks in and sits down but I don't get the same meal, why I asked? She said it was to offset the cost of having an order online option.
Completely ridiculous! So be warned when ordering online that you may not get your full meal or be forced to pay more for it. I won't be doing that again.
The positives were that the place is nice inside and food is very good. However I now have a bad taste in my mouth for this place now. Lots of Thai restaurants around that are just as good and won't do that to you.
Thai Bistro in Federal Way is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by some of the most attentive and friendly servers. Their hospitality truly added to the overall dining experience.
The restaurant's atmosphere is another standout feature. The decor, everywhere you look, exudes a delightful Thai charm. It makes you feel like you've been transported to Thailand itself. The attention to detail in the ambiance is commendable.
Now, let's talk about the food – the Pad Thai and Chicken Satay were out of this world! The Pad Thai had the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, and the Chicken Satay was tender and flavorful, with an incredible peanut sauce that was to die for.
Thai Bistro has earned a special place in my heart as my go-to spot for fantastic Thai cuisine. The combination of exceptional service, captivating ambiance, and delicious dishes makes it a true five-star dining destination. Highly recommended!
Food was amazing same with the service they were all so nice and this was the best Thai food I have had . Safe for vegetarians
Portion size were a lot smaller and the Pad Thai was a bit sweeter than before along with the fresh spring rolls could’ve used less lettuce and more noodles over I’ve had better when dining here in the past
Terrible service, waited over an hour for our food while people who came in after us got theirs way before ours, they provide no water we had to ask for it ourselves, no silverware, napkins all had to be asked for. overall terrible service don’t recommend
Great service. Great food.
Love the Tom Kha soup and many other dishes. Have only experienced great food and friendly service here.
Go to Thai place in Federal Way. I am not a spicy food person and they make the Chicken pad ba mee perfectly!
I have mixed feelings about this place. I loved the ginger essence soup which came out before our lunch specials and the fried spring rolls. Door dashed ordered two item and only delivered one item. Called store for refund, she said she will but never she did. Bad service!!!
Went to this restaurant for lunch. They had several tasty lunch specials that came with good soup, rice and pad thai. Prompt service and reasonable prices.
The reason atmosphere is low is because their bathroom has a really bad sewage smell. Really ruined the dining experience. They really need to fix it. We could smell the stench from where we were sitting in the restaurant.
Sat for 40 min and when asked where our food was we were told there must be a mix up your order isn't in there. 40 min and no one even check on us. If I could I would rate it negative
Everything from start to finish was so good! I got greeted and seated immediately, My Server (I unfortunately cant remember her name) was extremely knowledgeable had great recommendations, the “thai me up” was fantastic! Ive been going here since I was a kid and they have maintained great all around restaurant standards, have yet to have a bad experience
The coconut soup is one of the best I have ever had. Won ton soup fantastic as well. Amazing spring rolls! Loved it!
Take out Shrimp Pad See Ew tasted burnt, old, nasty and no eggs to be found. Definitely not the same as eating in. So disappointed. Will never get take out here again.

Amazing!!! Really enjoyed this restaurant. Everything was top quality
1st visit to this place and enjoyed our lunch there. Spring rolls, Cashew Chicken, Red Curry and Yellow Curry.
Waitress very nice. Nice decor.
This place is AH MAZING!! I will eat this EVERY time I'm in the area. We ordered the pumpkin curry and the tom ka soup. The pumpkin was WOWING!! The soup was also delicious. We also ordered the mango and sticky rice for desert which was also OUTSTANDING!! This place is doing it right. You will not be sad you chose this place!! DELICIOUS!!
The mussels ooooh the mussels... and the duck curry. The service is great too!
I had the lemongrass chicken lunch special, and it was some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Flavorful and a good value.
Big fan of this place. The service was amazing and quick for a lunch break
Amazing food and huge portions
LOVE my trips to Thai Bistro. Food is always good and service always prompt. Prices have gone up a good bit, but can't blame them for that 🤔
Great food, great service and nice spot to have a meeting.
An older waitress was *barking* at my family and l, rushing us, and at some point
*shouted* "WAIT" pointedly when we asked for spoons for our dessert.
We were not anywhere near closing and were pleased coming in. Came out with such mixed experience and that horrible woman was smirking at us as we exited. Was she racist? IDK but very odd.
it was uncomfortable & unfortunate because the food was good. Just order takeout and don't bother tipping.
It's been 4 years since we were able to eat here. No where has compared to how amazing the food is here.
Green curry eggplant and Thai iced tea..yummy
Decent food, AWFUL service.
I did not like it I didn't know what to order and what I did was not good

This was my first time eating here, as I'm new to the area, and the Beef Pad Kee Mao was so amazing! High quality ingredients cooked to perfection with authentic flavors that deliciously meld together. Can't wait to try more of their dishes!

Last Saturday afternoon was not a good experience thanks to the lady server who told my colleague that we can leave if we feel we have been kept waiting....We had waited for a while😂 but why was she shouting. The other male server was good though. The food was ok but I may have lost my appetite . Be kind to EVERYONE!!
It has so many choice.
Delicious 😋 food, peanut sauce is so good, honey chicken is my favorite. They have great sauces with their meals. Nice quiet place, good service here, and love the atmosphere. Good place for a quiet date.
The pad Thai with chicken we ordered was incredibly salty, almost as if a whole bottle of salt had been poured into it. Additionally, the noodles were soggy.
To add to the disappointment, the customer service was extremely rude. When our waiter inquired about our meal, we expressed our dissatisfaction, only to be met with a dismissive response implying that the excessive saltiness was normal for the dish. Furthermore, during payment, a balding man began cleaning in front of us and even asked us to pass him our plates as if we were staff. Overall, it was the worst dining experience we've ever had, especially on Mother's Day.
Wife's favorite place the fried chicken fried rice is amazing. Every dish I have had is great. We even had our wedding dinner here. Amazing food
Best green curry I've ever had .
Thai mojito ❤️
Fresh Vegetable Rolls, added tofu. Wrap is thick, ends unedible. Small slice of fried? tofu. Dipping sauce thick like gelatinous. May not be glueton free, I thought I mentioned that was what I was looking for. Lots of fresh crunchy lettuce. Sad, had better.
WAY too expensive! The charged 22% gratuity. Don't come here.
Friendly and fast service with amazing food. We have been coming here for years and look forward to our next visit.

Very Good food . Slow staff ..
Bomb
Have been coming here for years and always was well treated. My last visit was awful service, won't be going back. Very disappointing.
Great food!
Our favorite spot in Federal Way. Tons of options of all kinds, vegan choices, great flavor, takeout is great.
While the food is good, this place is one of the most expensive Thai restaurants in the area. In addition, the waitresses are absolutely rude regardless of if you’re dining in or picking up. They almost never smile or greet you warmly, and hardly even give you any direct eye contact. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
A memorable experience.
Great food! The salad rolls (or veggie, summer, fresh rolls… whatever you may call them), were delightful! I’d love it if they would offer them with tofu.
As recommended, we tried heat 1 and heat 3 and we found them to be too mild. Obviously, everyone restaurant has their own scale. Knowing this next time I will order a 4 or 5. Just keep in mind 1 is basically 0 (or less).
We has the fried tofu, salad rolls, pad thai, and masuman curry. Everything was good, but on the sweeter side.
Service was great! Atmosphere is beautiful! It’s a great place and we’ll be back!
Whole family loves the food.
One of the best Thai restaurants in western Washington! 😋
Best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend Thai Bistro. They have an extensive menu and everything tastes good; from the food to the drinks - It’s 10/10 for me. Service is great too..the servers are awesome and always check if you need anything. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely come again!
Amazingly flavorful food!
My go to when it comes to Thai food in Federal Way. They've got a good selection of food and beer to go with the meal.
Prices are reasonable with a nice size portion, unlike some other Thai restaurants which I shall not mention! Lol...
Love the variety of options and good Thai food. Only complaint about the food: I usually order mussaman curry, the potatoes in it are hard as rocks, they don’t feel cooked at all.
Great food, had Pad Thia with Chicken and another with beef
Great food. Love it. Will be back.
The food was very good, the service excelent. The price was very reasonable, and the portions generous. Try the Thai cold coffee...Excelent!
I ordered pad see ew with beef and it ended up tasting burnt and the flavor was gross tasted like they seasoned it with sugar instead of how pad see ew is suppose to be like. Really disappointed how it turned out won’t be coming back to this place.
Good but spendy. Decent portion sizes. Very popular so very busy.
Very authentic Thai food. Very good quantity. Absolutely tasty Thai basil chicken. Restaurant and service is just basic.
The paanang is so good.
Thai Bistro in Federal Way is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by some of the most attentive and friendly servers. Their hospitality truly added to the overall dining experience.

Thai Bistro has earned a special place in my heart as my go-to spot for fantastic Thai cuisine. The combination of exceptional service, captivating ambiance, and delicious dishes makes it a true five-star dining destination. Highly recommended!
Waitress kept insisting I need to try sweet chilli beef, apparently it’s her favorite dish, even though I was leaning more towards fried rice or pad kee mao, she kept on saying how this sweet chilli is so much better and I need to try it. It ended up being overwhelmingly sweet. I told her I didn’t like it, the sauce was extremely sweet. No apologies, no offers to make something different.
Waitress wasn’t educated on the prices either, and brought me a check with higher price than what she told me when I asked her when ordering it.
Brought me a check and disappeared somewhere, I had to get up and come up to make a payment. What an unpleasant experience.
This place is so delicious that we are coming back. The duck curry is to die for.
Easy atmosphere, delicious food, great service.
One of Federal Ways nicest atmospheres to dine at.
Food is usually really delicious, with lots of choices. Been
ordering/coming here for a long time. Have a bad and drunk menu plus Thai coffee and other drinks too choose from. Oh and the mango sticky rice... yum.
Best Thai in the are amazing place beautiful inside a must try !!!
Price is reasonable, and food is great
Good food but they no longer give you rice? Got all the way home with takeout before I realized. Just raise the price of the dish and include rice! Makes your restaurant look cheap! Guess y'all trying to be the Spirit airlines of Thai food...
Amazing. Food was incredible, place was clean same with the restrooms which smelled wonderful as well. Very happy with the staff. Would come again and highly recommend!
DO NOT ORDER FOOD FOR PICKUP, THE PRICES ARE MUCH, MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. WHAT. A. JOKE.
12 BUCKS FOR SPRING ROLLS.... 25 BUCKS FOR PANAG??? LOL
IM GOING DOWN THE STREET!!!!
Food was great. Ordered medium spice level. No heat at all!!!
Good was fresh. Will definitely go back
Always solid food. Even when busy it's quick, and friendly. Great food, great service.
很甜,很咸,很酸,水杯里还有类似茶渍的东西,很髒的;小费太高,而且不能让客人选择,餐厅指定要加20%小费☹️☹️☹️☹️
Love this place. I have never been disappointed. They have both gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options. If you like calamari (neither gf or veg) but the best that I have ever had! ALL of their curries are superb! The panang curry is so good!
One of my favorite Thai places. A great selection of wonderful meals.
I ate here with my family. At first glance, this place seemed very accommodating to dietary restrictions—they had an entire vegetarian menu which I loved—but they messed up both my parents' requests to not fry the tofu after confirming it. It's one thing to politely decline making changes to food (I understand, it's not easy to make changes), but it's a little irritating as a customer when this happens. They offered a free replacement, but it tasted really bad too, and the waitress started being a little snarky afterwards.
My food, however, was 4-stars for sure. I ordered the Pad Thai Jay (vegetarian) and I thought it tasted great for the first 60% of the meal! It might just be me, but I did start to get fatigued from the taste after a while, but I don't blame that on the food.
The atmosphere of the place was pretty great—if you don't end up in the same boat as my family, I can definitely recommend this restaurant.
If you thought my review was useful, consider liking it! It helps me and other people out :)
General atmosphere was cheerful. We ordered the sizzling sefood in foil and were very disappointed. The contents in the foil were scant but it was presented with a huge amout of foil at bottom to make you think there was a generous serving inside. We felt taken. That said, the chicken curry and appetizers were good.
Great spot to bring the family, the kids will love the choice of drinks and their kids plating is actually exceptional. Lots of veggies were part of my daughter's gyoza meal. Great tasting curry and pad see eiw noodles.
The food is really good when dining in! Varies with take out, but that goes for every restaurant. We started ordering from here more than our previous place because they have more options and food just tasted better
My coworker and myself were almost done eating our food when out came out a cockroach from one of our plates and the staff acted like they knew about them. I threw up all over myself and my car and my poor coworker also threw up!! Never again! 🪳
Delish, almost everything I've ever had there!
I have eaten here often over the years. The service is outstanding and the food is consistently good. It's my "go to" Thai food restaurant.
Always a great meal with fresh ingredients, served with a smile. Nice ambiance as well
Very good Thai food. Fresh ingredients. Slightly pricey for lunch but worth it. Attentive but not intrusive service.
The corner booth is our favorite place to sit.
Best service ever! Delicious food too!
1 1/2 hour wait for food
Nice environment, maybe a little short staffed for a Sunday afternoon, but food was good and for my wife, not too spicy.
Great! ⁹
Excellent food with generous portions. The menu is a little tough to navigate. The tonic was flat in the G&T one of us ordered.
Great food but very pricey for what little you get.
The food here is fantastic. I love their curry. They have plenty of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options. Also, the decor is inspiring.
Papaya salad was really good!
Good Customer service!
I get Larb Gai whenever I go to a Thai place and here it was delicious!
This is by far the best Thai food that I've had so far.
Ordered lunch for my team today (5 total people). Prices were high to moderate. Ordered online at 11:38, received a notification via text at 12:20 that the food would be ready in 30 minutes. This seemed like a long time for take out, so I called. I could feel the woman’s shrug through the phone, “it’s busy.” I suspect they didn’t check for online orders for the first half out. Pad Thai lunch combo with cashew chicken: pad Thai had nothing in it, was just noodles with flavor and a small (less than a tsp) of cooked egg. Cashew chicken was delicious, portions were generous. Order by phone or in person for faster service. Inside of the restaurant looked nice.
Chicken is overcooked. Too dry. Some other dishes are good.
The food wasn't bad...Just wasn't good either. Flavor was lacking and on the sweet side. Not good enough to try again.
Server was there ready for our order after appropriate delay for us to read the menu, food arrived quickly and hot, the flavors were great.
It has that "chain restaurant feel" from outside and can't say I love the interior,
but the food is really great!! It's fresh and definitely not the chain food. Delivery is just as good as take out!
Had Tom yum noodles soup beef. Service was fast.
Came here on my graduation day from high school with my whole family. Menu was pretty big, food was good, didn't have to wait long. My mom is a full-blooded Laotian, so she knows her Thai cuisine. She was impressed, so I don't think I have anything more to say.
Service is bad but could be forgiven if the food was good, unfortunately everything was sweet instead of spicy and candied instead of savory. We asked for fish sauce and the server said they don’t have that! Haha it says Bistro so I guess that means American style? Not sure. Hard pass in the future.
Very confused. We ordered the yellow curry noodle to go…description said: “wok fried wide rice noodles, ground chicken, yellow curry powder, tomato, onion, peas, and carrots with homemade gravy”… this is what we got. Some noodles and lettuce. There was no seasoning or spice on the noodles either. $18.00. 🥲
Great lamb chuck . Flavor was on point. Great portions!
Great service and great food!
I order pad Thai and they gave me only 5 pieces of beef. What a joke….
I went there today, most of the waitresses were friendly, except one of them
Decent Thai food—nothing to complain about, nothing to call home about. Good service.
unprofessional.
Thai Bristol first time I've been there . Their menu made it a hard decision for me to pick what I wanted for dinner so many great choices. I end up having a nice chicken fillet pieces with noodles with a nice spicy peanut sauce on it very delicious. My next trip will be one of their curries. I'm definitely going back.
Pretty great food
Even better service
Nice choice of vegan options with good flavor.
Nice place very friendly staff and good food reasonably priced. Would say it is a cozy place - but that implies small, it is not small.
AWESOME food, drinks and service.
