Been here many times over the years but came in recently as there is a sign saying under new management. Food was still really good. Decor is dated but well kept. The Thai ice tea is the best! Pad Thai was great and noodles were good and spicy and not dry. Not to spicy. Just like I like it. Shrimp egg and rice presentation was beautiful. I’ll continue to dine here.
Came here for a birthday party and had a great time. I don't 100% know what we got (the rest of the folks ordered in Thai) but it was all tasty.
The place is really cute too - with a big mural on the wall and a fountain greeting you when you enter. If it wasn't so cheap you could have a fancy dinner here
We recently celebrated a birthday here. The restaurant is very clean with an ambient atmosphere. They have a very extensive Thai menu with many common Thai dishes along with many Thai dishes I have not seen elsewhere. I was boring and went for the tried and true Phad Thai with shrimp spring rolls. The Phad Thai was some of the best I have had. Lots of chicken and noodles, a large portion of crushed peanuts and bean sprouts. I mixed it all together and savored every bite while cleaning my plate. The shrimp spring rolls were also great. My wife had peppered chicken with vegetables in a light but rich sauce. Every main dish was garnished with a beautiful flower made from a carrot! This restaurant is family run and the service was impeccable. They gave us a complimentary mini choclate lava cake and a sweet sticky rice with a rich sweet sauce. It was garnished with sliced mango. It was an excellent dinner and all the prices were less than you would find anywhere else. This restaurant is highly recommended and I will definitely go back.
I have to be honest I have lived in this area over 20 years and I avoided this restaurant(s) only because of the location. I told my wife I was going to go there and she wouldn't even come with me because she didn't know what to expect. I took a chance. Was amazed how clean the inside was. Great ambiance and the workers were super friendly, The pricing was great so I made sure to get a To go for me wife as the food was amazing. I will definitely be back and hopefully others that have just driven by will give this place a try. Highly recommend!
Great food and service! Good price too.
Always come here, food is just as good as last owner. Only down side is the parking lot gets pretty shady so I may end up doing take out only. Not their fault though, area has alot of foot traffic/homeless.
Simply amazing, they don’t miss! Very clean and cute environment on top of the excellent food and service! I have been coming here a couple times a week since I found out about it. The pad see ew and Thai tea are a must.

My son and I had dinner here. Very good Thai food, clean, good service.

Service is always awesome, food is always fresh and tasty
It was a pleasure working with Emerald II Thai for a recent event for 50 people. The owner made the ordering process very easy and checked in with me regularly. They delivered red curry, fried rice, and noodles to our venue on time and even helped take the food inside. The food was very good quality, and everyone at our event loved it — especially the Thai iced tea. Thank you so much for helping make our event so successful!
Service was fabulous, very nice and not overbearing. Gave me a free Thai iced tea as I waited because the wait was a bit longer than expected. Wasn’t needed but so thoughtful, will be returning for sure! Food was superb!
Just everything awesome! My first time Dec 25, have been back three times, all services consistent. Staff so friendly...now have my brother hooked...dine in or take out, portions consist.
Very delicious food. We had larb and pumpkin curry. Nice large to go portions; I have lunch for tomorrow 🤤
I just started the keto diet and was super hungry after essentially not eating all day and and a bit grumpy. I called to ask a question and between my friend and I, we tried 2 different entrees with 2 levels of spice. Both entrees were delicious for the both of us with leftovers (of course), spice level was PERFECTION (so many places mess that up), and staff was intelligent, quick and ready for business. 10/10 would 100% recommend, plan to go again when back in town!
We absolutely love the changes that were made, the old management was great people but you can tell the new owners are more up to date as far as their dish offerings. They now offer everything we love in the Thai world.

The green papaya salad was flavorful and well spiced. However, the chicken pad Thai could have come off the shelf of a local grocery store. There were no bean sprouts to be found and the taste was like somebody poured a sweet peanut molasses sauce over the noodles. Such a shame because the staff is so helpful and so nice. I was really hoping for better.
Food was great and staff was super nice, good experience for my family.
It's always very unfortunate to write a low review for a place but I must be honest with my recent visit to Emerald II Thai Cuisine, especially as someone who loves Thai food. I have had Emerald II Thai Cuisine on my bookmarks for quite some time which is when it was under a different owner but we just never had the chance to try it as we had closer Thai options. However, after we watched a movie and we were thinking of what to eat, I wanted to try out Emerald II Thai Cuisine as I saw that they uploaded their menu and were under new management.
When we arrived, it was only us around 2pm and we were greeted by our server who let us pick where we wanted to sit. Now here is where one of the red flags came up: there were ants on our table. I know we picked the table but I find it highly concerning that ants were on the table and when I killed one in a napkin then put it to the side, and when the waitress came back to take our order she had asked what that was. When I told her that it was an ant, she looked completely unfazed and more confused then anything. After I saw the second ant, we asked to move to a different table which she allowed us to do so. We ordered the pad kee mao lunch special with Sprite while my boyfriend got the fried pork belly lunch special with Thai iced coffee ($3 more).
The other red flag is the waitress we had who looked young was kind of awkward and definitely was either new or had trouble being a waitress. She gave no real service and when we asked her questions, she didn't really answer the question well. When she did check up on us, it was very awkward and like she was forced to do it? She even walks away very stiffly too. Now it seems I'm being harsh but she was just fine talking to her co-worker in Thai the whole time we were there. But it doesn't seem like she has a language barrier either.
Now for the food which also was a red flag. My boyfriend's pork belly dish only came with a few pieces of pork belly while most of the plate was covered but vegetables, which we didn't know it had. Now I had pad kee mao the other day and their pad kee mao was SO salty that I had to keep sipping my drink. I do not like my food super salty and this had to be the most Americanized Thai food that I had ever had in my life as it was just salt. I asked for it to be 4 stars spicy but I feel like it was 4x salty. It wasn't spicy at all, just extremely salty. I also noticed some poorly or lazily cut vegetables throughout my meal, which was weird as I have never seen this type of cuts in my life.
The final red flag and the one that irked me was that they charge you a $1 for a refill of your soda for lunch. Now, that's fine and I finished my drink at the end of the meal as I didn't want a refill. The waitress comes to drop off our check and asks if I wanted a refill. I told her no as we were going to be leaving anyways and she looked shocked when I said that. I was confused by her reaction but just figured she was expecting me to ask for a refill. However, when we saw our check, they did charge us for a refill which is ridiculous. Unfortunately, my boyfriend did not check the check and once we finished paying, I saw the $1 additional charge as we drove away. It's just a $1 so it wasn't worth driving back to dispute it over but just a heads up to always check your receipts before paying as you never know what businesses will do. Extremely disappointed by these shady business practices and we will not be returning.
I feel as though the people working here are new to the restaurant industry and I sincerely hope that they make improvements as this was one of the worst Thai dine in experiences I have ever had. I feel that they are genuinely trying but ensuring their restaurant is clean, employees are professional, and food should be tasted and prepared well before handing it to customers.
We came here for a farewell lunch before taking people to the airport and the service and food were delicious. Their lunch special is really reasonable with a good number of options. They asked if it was a special occasion and even though it wasnt a birthday gave us a free mango sticky rice.
Notable on the menu:
Pad thai
Green chicken curry
Crispy garlic chicken
Very kind service and they don’t mess around with the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
The food has been outstanding! I try something different each time and all items have been some of the best Thai that I’ve had. Very nice people at the desk and they’ve done a great job decorating and making the restaurant very comfortable. Crispy garlic chicken was bomb, great pad sew, and the duck in curry was excellent!
Picked up dinner from here, it was so delicious and ready so quickly, definitely going to be my new go-to Thai place and the staff was so friendly and happy to see us that we might eat in next time!
Had Pad Thai last week and it was excellent...going back tonight for more....
Noodles were like rubber
Came here for a birthday party and had a great time. I don't 100% know what we got (the rest of the folks ordered in Thai) but it was all tasty.
The place is really cute too - with a big mural on the wall and a fountain greeting you when you enter. If it wasn't so cheap you could have a fancy dinner here
Absolutely delicious food, very artistic presentation. Staff very nice
Fried rice was excellent
We are visiting from SF Bay area and came across this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. Very good atmosphere and service. Food was delicious. I highly recommend if craving Thai food. Thank you.
Amazing little restaurant, so glad I stopped by. Had the Tom Yum soup - it was flavorful and spicey. The spring rolls were perfect
The staff was super friendly. I'm definitely going back!!!
Highly recommended, the restaurant under new management has delicious many delicious dishes. Gotta try their golden duck and pad thai woong sen
Emerald thai and Emerald thai 2 have been my go to thai place for over 20 years. I stopped by today and they were remodeling under new management. My heart is broken! Please dont change the recipes! Please keep the peanut sauce the same!
We've been going for years, and the service and food have always been excellent. This is a great place if you're new to trying Thai food or have it a lot.
Sauce and price is good but didn't like the chicken
Everything about this place was great. Free parking, cute vibe, super nice and attentive service, food was beyond top notch highly recommend this place.
We came here with a group of 8. All of us really enjoyed our dishes ranging from the Tom Kha, curry, basil fried rice, and pad khi mao. Great service and large portions for reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!
This is my FAVORITE Asian food place in the area. They always get my order perfect and everything just tastes so amazing. I usually order extra crispy fried tofu for my protein and it's always done perfectly. I generally get take out and it's ready fast and the staff are kind and on top of service. I would definitely suggest going here or ordering take out/delivery.
The food here was great
Excellent 👌 food, excellent service and a basic clean and comfortable atmosphere.
The food is always fresh and delicious! Staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked through the door.
I love this place! Always consistent and delicious. It's a treat I make sure I can get often. The service and speediness is always on point. I've been coming here for 8 years and always enjoy talking with the owner. Hands down a favorite place. All items in the menu are spectacular. Check it out for yourself!
The food is very delicious! After ordering food came out pretty fast for ordering 5 different dishes. Swimming Rama is my favorite definitely recommend! Debated on getting a Thai coffee and before leaving I ordered one and he had to go cups so I could take it and go 😊 will be going again and definitely if you haven’t tried them I encourage you to!
My daughter and I had take out today and we were very impressed. The food is delicious! I think we found our favorite Thai restaurant in the area.
Great food, great service.
I've lived near this place a long time and just recently decided to check it out. They were fast and extremely friendly but the portions were very small and the prices were almost double what is listed online. The flavors weren't terrible but compared to a lot of thai places only okay.
We were here visiting from Olympia and felt like thai food and found this gem. I had the eight angels dish and my friend had garlic chicken. Both were amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food & kind owners. We will definitely be back.
This place is so good. I got the cashew chicken, spring rolls, and coconut ice cream. Every item was delicious!
Best Thai ever! I and my family so much love the chicken fried rice 🍚 😋 so delish 😊
Food was great and the prices as well.
If I could, it would be zero stars...The people were very nice and friendly but that's where the good ends. It was the absolute worse Thai food I ever tasted! What was supposed to be a treat for my wife and I, turned out to be a HUGE disappointment. Idk how you manage to ruin chicken fried rice but they did asking with everything else we ordered. Save your money. I'll NEVER go back.
I have come to this place for many years. Love it
Asked them for gluten free - they said no problem. Fish curry had bread on it.
I took it back they said they would remake it but they just threw the same fish with bread back in a new thing of vegetables.
Beware if you have allergies. I told them it would make me very sick.
Best kept secret! I have eaten here several times in the last few months after working in the area. The food is consistently great and the service is friendly and efficient. Always grateful to see Mac, the owner as I know he will take good care of us. Even though I don't live in Federal Way and my work stint is now over, I will drive from Tacoma any day to have dinner there! Thank you, Mac!
This restaurant lacks more customer service. You have to stand in front of the counter to ask for more water or whatever you need. Another one at the table. It's not like other restaurants that give you different types of sauces. They also don't give you any lemons or other vegetables, but the food is different style but yummy the beer is at the perfect temperature
The food here is so so good. The best Thai food I’ve ever had. The last time I saw my grandpa pipop was here, unfortunately I live to far to go here often. But the food here is very genuine! ❤️
Nos gustó la comida, buen servicio y rápido.
Went to eat here, and this place sucks...... I would be the first to tell everyone dnt ear here. Very disappointing. Dnt even taste like Thai food. Negative -10
The worst papaya salad. There is NO flavor. They should pay me to eat their food. I never had a bad basil fried rice till now. Find a different cook. I don’t think this place is authentic. If you want a real Thai food this is NOT the right place. Don’t waste your money.
My favorite to go spot for excellent thai cuisines and great customer service.
Food is always great no matter what you eat
Food was pretty tasty. Id need to go again and have other things to give a good review.
THE BEST fried Thai rice in town 🤍
Great food
There were four of us at dinner and we each had a different dish. We started with the fresh summer rolls, which were delicious. One had the Yum Neau Salad, which he raved about. Tender beef with crisp Lettuce and other vegetables. Two of us had noodle dishes that included Bangkok Noodles, which were great. They had lots of meat and veggies with very tasty sauces. The last dish was the Kang Panang Chicken. A red curry loaded with peanut sauce and creamy coconut milk. Fantastic. We had to show our vaccination cards before we were seated. The waitstaff members were friendly, efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Good place for some tasty Thai food.
So good! Will definitely be back!
Excellent Thai food! We ordered Chicken Satay, Summer Fresh Rolls, Pad See Eew, Pad Kee Mao, and Pineapple Fried Rice to-go. All of the dishes we full of flavor and we'll done. Service was fast and clean. Pro tip: Bring a plastic box to set the take-out bag in just in case of drips.
This place was overall great. The pad Thai was amazing and the service was great 10/10 would recommend!
Mac was very polite, and he knows how to serve authentic curry!
Delicious fresh spring rolls.
Ordered to go and was ready within 5 minutes. Pad thai tasted bland and was watery at the bottom. I am pretty sure it was microwaved. Never had food like this before.
Delicious food, every time!
Omg this was the worst. They use the microwave to heat food. I went for crispy chicken and got soggy hot chicken for the microwave. It old food. The chicken looks days old. How i know it was microwaved is i heard the microwave after i order rice when i forgot at the last mimute. Never again will I come here. Wish I could give them no stars. You such. Just go out of business if you don't care about the food or customers.
Great local business with delicious food and the owner is so friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend going here!! My boyfriend and I go there all the time now especially since we live so close.
The best Thai food in the south end. Awesome people. Wonderful service. Everything on the menu is top notch. Highly recommended.
Dank!
Delicious food. Consistently excellent friendly service. We make a point to stop whenever we are in the area. Everything we have ever had here has been so tasty!
Been here with friends and family a few times the food is always good and the staff are on point and professional
First time having Thai in WA state. The yellow curry was the bomb! So good and a really nice size portion I got two meals from it. I will definitely go again😋😘
Best thai food in the Seattle area, hands down! I love this business and I gladly give them my money.
This place knows their trade! Very good thai, and no doubt best pineapple fried rice!!
Best thai food around. Super friendly family owned place!
Thai cuisine is one of my ultimate favorites.
This was hands down the best authentic Thai food I've enjoyed on the west coast and Hawaii. Nice portions, timely to-go-pickup, and exquisite flavors!
And loved the leftovers on the road 🙏💦
Good food!
Yum!!!
Wonderful Thai food, great service!
Best thai I've had in the area. Awesome lunch specials that fill you up with extra to spare.
Friendly service and delicious food. There's nothing not to like here.
Great food, good portions. The place is clean and service is quick. Highly recommended for take out or for a good sit down meal. I recommend the spicy beef and broccoli.
This is my favorite thai place in the South end. Owner is friendly and warm. Food is delicious even to go. Spice scale made me laugh
We stopped here on our way to Seattle which is around 20 mins from here. The food was soo amazing:) we have spicy basil fried rice and it has been the best fried rice ever. I would definitely recommend this place . The ambience and cleanliness is perfect too :)
Very good restaurant. We had green curry and shrimp phad Thai.
Skip the Noodle soup, bur definitely try their yellow curry!
Always great food. A little pricey though.
The service was great, the atmosphere was ok, the food was ok.
Their War Won Ton is the best!
Good Thai joint
Always has been apart of our family and have been coming here for years (all ways good friendly customer service)
The food is good, nice portions, but on 2 different occasions I found hair in my food.
Excellent hole-in-the-wall. Everything was fresh and delicious and spiced to order. The Pad Thai was unbeatable and the green curry was surprisingly delicious.
Love this place❤ my favorite ever
Great Thai food😃
Very good food! We will be coming back whenever we crave Thai food. The pepper steak is amazing! Decent prices as well. Staff was very courteous.
An authentic Thai cuisine. The atmosphere was very strip-mall. But the food was well presented and delicious. The host and server was efficient, courteous. Ask for the Phad Thai - 5 star (hot) . You won't regret it.
Visited for the first today. The owner is friendly and the food was tasty. I will visit again.
Amaizing place good food $$$ and customer service
Food is great, owners are wonderful!! Go here!
I love thier Bangkok Noddles dish. They also gave me a military discount.
Our absolute favorite. This will become your new favorite Thai restaurant.
Pricey, but fast and tasty!
The thai curry was great, but the chicken was gamey .
Legit Thai food. Staff is nice.
First time ordering from here and so disappointed. No spice to a four stars order, bland tofu ,pad Tia soggy, red curry with no flavor.green beans added without listed on menu ,soggy rice. Tai was one of my favorite cuisines, but may after this experience may be scared for life.
Their tom kha soup was delicious. Their papaya salad amazing. Finally, their drunken noodles was spectacular. If you want spicy, go with 3 rating to still enjoy the food!
The food is excellent and the service is excellent as well
Wonderful flavor & great portions.
Love the pineapple rice! Service is great and fast. Food very good
Food was amazing! Our waiter was very nice too.
This place has some of the best Thai food I've had in this area. I will go as far as to say that the owner make the absolute best tasting peanut sauce I have ever had. The food is very delicious and the portions are generous. Spice level is intermediate but definitely satisfies. As a general statement, whenever choosing a Thai place I have noticed that the spice star level varies from place to place. The 5 star spice level here is equivalent to that of Buffalo Wild Wings' Thai Curry, very delicious with plenty of heatbif you're into it but won't make you cry
Amazing food!!! Service is great!! Overjoyed with this place!!!
Absolutely delicious!
Picked carryout it hoping ut is going to be turn as it smells really good. Talked to the owner while waiting he is a very repectfull gentleman ... Definately I will come back
Great food. Great price.
Delicious! Great service!
Small on the inside with humongous taste!
Great food, friendly family owned neighborhood restaurant
Good food & price very nice & friendly. Big portions always good ssrvice & tasty food.
Staff seemed like they didn't want us there despite there being only one other customer in the restaurant. Prices are insane for the amount of food given.
It was th worst pitzza ever. Too expensive. Burned. Small no good taste. It does not worth it for the price.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this restaurant. The wait staff was courteous and prompt. The food was delicious, with different recipes from other Thai restaurants I frequent. I'll definitely be back to try additional dishes.
Wonderful small restaurant with great Thai food.
Good food !
I had thier won ton soup and it was deliacious. The broth was well seasoned.
Pineapple fried rice is pretty good . Hosts are really nice . Descent prices . Highly recommended for thai food lovers
Expensive for the portions of meals!
Delicious food, ample servings, very friendly owner.
