I’m kind of glad this restaurant is a bit of a drive for me, otherwise I’d probably eat here 3-4 times a week. I’ve been to many teriyaki restaurants in Clark county and I’d have to say this was probably top 3 for me. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s in the BG area looking for delicious Asian cuisine. Can’t wait to explore their menu a bit more. Best Kimchi in town!

Brought my friend here since we were in the area and he loved it. Said the sushi tasted like 'real fresh sushi' and his bento box was worth every penny. Noticed they changed up the menu since I’ve been here last and added some new items.

I ordered their Katsu Curry and it was delicious, the potato was a bit undercooked but I still ate it. Chicken katsu was breaded then fried to perfection and the curry tasted like it was made by grandma. Would definitely recommend this dish to any Katsu Curry lover.

5 Star restaurant and that’s my word.

The owner/chef/server was covering all bases, as one of his staff was out that evening. Regardless of the scrambling, we enjoyed all our dishes.

Pretty good teriyaki

Food is delicious. Tastes fresh and better than any other Asian restaurant around. Lemon chicken and cashew chicken are fantastic.

First time experience here. Food was very good; my husband and I (and child) shared a Korean bowl and Sesame Chicken. Though owner was a one man show, we did not wait long for food. He was kind and accommodating. His green tea was excellent. We will be back again!

I would have given this place a 5 star. Unfortunately we got our food to go, the food was great! Well the portion sizes of our meals were very small. For four people spending $65.00 for meals, I expected a lot of food. I will try to dine in and see the portion size difference.

Saucesless white sliced chicken breast that could barely fill me up let alone my bigger teenager that LOVES teriyaki. The chicken was sort of rubber like but luckily not dry. I ordered 2 chicken teriyaki and 2 spicy chicken teriyaki. My bill was over $70. It was my first time in and I hadn't looked at the prices but now I am even more confused because it seems like it should have been well under $60. I also tipped the server and she was super helpful and friendly.

First off - the service was amazing. Waitress was super friendly and helpful. Cool atmosphere and enjoyed the vibe. 10/10.

The food, though, left a bit to be desired… salad rolls came with a bland peanut sauce that could really have used some spice.
Wonton soup smelled and tasted STRONGLY of fish sauce. The bibimbap lacked the usual banchan and gochujang… bland. I didn’t know Korean food could be bland. 4/10.

This place got black balled years ago under previous owners and we haven't gone back but recently we're craving tempura (damn TV cooking shows). Looked at recent reviews and tried again. It was delicious and great service. We got takeout however I noticed they have really done a nice job cleaning up the dining room. Very nice.

Hours on the web and on the door said closed at 8 PM on Sunday. Was there at 7:30. Door was locked with closed sign. Went to door could see people hanging out in back. One person saw me and moved away from window on the kitchen door. Wont be back.

I was standing at the door. Closed sign was out. Tried door. Looked in and saw young male look directly at me then he moved away from window going into kitchen that is on the door. I have eaten there before. Funny if it was open why wouldn't the young man move toward the front door to help me. I stood there for about 10 sec after I saw him. Nope not ever coming there again.

If I could give zero stars I would. It was our first visit and the gentleman said that they were out of pork. We were fine with that then he mentioned they were out of chicken as well but had just gotten some. Then proceeded to have an attitude saying "well sorry bout it" at that point I walked out. Will not be back EVER

Rising Sun is my absolute favorite place to eat. The owners are wonderful cooks and are very kind and friendly. Every meal I have tried is absolutly perfect. They also make the best thai iced tea of any place I have tried (which is a lot because I LOVE thai tea).

Ordered a few things and brought it home to enjoy with the fam. The food was all still piping hot, and I was a huge fan of the pho. Had enough to split and even had some left overs. It’s a really good place :)

The food we ordered as so salty I couldn't eat it and the cashew chicken was more like a breaded orange chicken with a couple cashews, raw celery and raw green onion thrown on top. Lesson learned and will not be back.

Best salad roll I have EVER had in my LIFE. YUM! The portion compared to other places was huge! The wrap was packed full of fresh cucumber, julianned carrots, and fresh whole leaf lettuce. As promised the sauce was "spicy but not too spicy." The proprietors are sweet and kind people.

The staff are so friendly. Speed of service is rather slow, BUT very worth the wait; food is very tender, packed with great flavor and so fresh. Great place!!

Food was absolutely amazing. Just what we needed to refuel on a really rough and hot day. The service was also amazing. They were nice enough to let my coworker and I use the toilet which clearly was not intended for customers. And after being on the road all day it was very appreciated. He even brought the food out to our service vehicle. Will 100% be returning.

The owner of the restaurant came out and I just had phenomenal service, along with a very short wait and some of the best orange chicken I have ever had! I will 100% be coming back many more times.

Best Asian food in BG hands down.

Ordered the beef & broccoli with an extra serving of beef, but instead of adding extra meat they just put less broccoli for the same portion. My boyfriend, who picked it up, noticed an awful smell when he got in the car -it was the beef. I smelled the broccoli and tasted it. It was fine, but the beef was pretty awful. I only tried this place because Happy Family wasn't picking up the phone. I would definitely go back there instead of Rising Sun.

This was my second time here, and boy was it a disappointment, the first time I spent around 30 dollars and got enough to feed me and my husband and then some leftovers. This time, I got the same exact things, but when I got home the portions were less than half of what I've gotten previously. The beef short ribs were $14.95 and were basically all bone. They didn't even fill the portion of the container they were put in. The teriyaki chicken was a little better, but still only about half of what it was last time. The crab rangoons were they only thing that was worth what we paid. $6.00 for 6 decently sized rangoons, with ample amounts of crab and cream cheese filling, well fried with a side of sweet and sour sauce. Basically if you are gonna go here be prepared to overpay. I paid 32 dollars and waited 25 minutes for food that wasn't even remotely worth it. I'd give zero stars if possible. Lets just say the one star is for the crab rangoons.

One of the best places in BG. I often go with a group of about 6 and our food is always delicious and prepared in good time. The owners are super nice as well.

Customer service terrible. The teriyaki chicken was rubbery. Not quite sure how you mess chicken up? Would not even feed to my dog.

I’m really not one to usually complain but I got the chicken and broccoli with fried rice and it had the most awful rotting smell. When I had told the guy he took it back to the kitchen and loudly explained to someone in the back he didn’t know what smell and proceeded to tell me he had been doing this for 10 yrs and never gotten a complaint. Very rude. Will not be back.

The teriyaki chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. It was served sizzling, on an iron skillet, so it stayed hot throughout our meal. The salad rolls are wrapped with your choice of meat and their peanut sauce is perfect! They were quick with the appetizer and helpful with the ordering process. And a few other groups of customers were obviously regulars and their favorites were remembered. The atmosphere at lunch was relaxing and we highly recommend it!!!

Ordered the yakisoba to-go and not only was the order wrong (I asked for only broccoli and specifically no bean sprouts, and got every vegetable under the sun) but the portion was TINY for 12$ unlike I’ve had here before (in person) when they give larger portions. Completely disappointed will not be returning. The noodles (when I could find any) had no teriyaki-like sauce which is the staple of yakisoba. They looked dull and tasted just as flavorless. What’s supposed to be a savory noodle dish even tasted SWEET, it was disgusting. I threw it away.

This place deserves 5 stars! I come from NY where a single California roll is almost $20. I was skeptical because of the amazing low price of the sushi that I ordered tonight but oh man...I was definitely surprised. Delicious! I will be coming back for all my sushi needs! Also the owner is incredibly personable and just so welcoming, thank you for making the new girl welcomed!

Wow wow wow. This is our favorite place to eat in Battle Ground. Not only can he cook like a 5 star restaurant, the food is so good. They make you feel like your the best friend.I so wish I had pictures from today. If you want 5 star quality food at a great price you have to give them a try, I promise you will not be disappointed.

My family has been going to this place for almost 3 years now we were there when they switched owners and cleaned up the place revamped the menu and have always delivered a excellent servic and food.

The food and service just keeps getting better! I already love this place. And then today, because I got into a time crunch, the owner went above and beyond to send me off dishes and all. What I ordered cooks in a clay pot (babimbop) and would have been ruined had it been transferred to a Togo box... this dish is specifically why I come here! Wanting to preserve his craft, he insisted. Of course, I would never expect this, and that’s is what’s makes this kindness so sweet. If I could I’d Give Six stars for integrity of product!

I’m dissapointed. I love teriyaki chicken but my plate wasn’t very good. It looked like they cooked some juicy yummy chicken and combined it with old dried out over cooked chicken. I also had a big chunk of rice that was still crunchy.

The lady was very nice and I didn’t complain because I’m not that way but I do wish they checked for quality control.

Every time my wife and I come in here we're treated like family. Vince is such a gracious and friendly owner/operator. But even better than the service is his food. The menu is surprisingly eclectic and all of the dishes differ in flavor and experience. Vince is able to prepare just about anything, even if it's not on his menu! Just ask for something! He's ultra talented and exceptionally friendly. This is definitely our favorite restaurant in the area.

Wow. Blown away at the quality of this place compared to the likes of Panda Express and Ichi Teriyaki. Had a healthy variety of tempura, chicken, pork, beef, California rolls and yakisoba, and all were prepared like we were a lone family being served by a private chef.

Can't recommend Rising Sun enough.
