My first time at Suphan Thai. Lunch today with my brother. Not crowded, seated immediately. Very friendly, helpful, and cheerful staff. Ordered Som Tom (green papaya salad), Singapore rice noodles with vegetables, and green curry with vegetables. The Som Tom was delicious, very traditional Thai. I love that the chef used ripe cherry tomatoes, very nice! The Singapore rice noodles were delicious, very full of vegetables and flavorful. I ordered spice level 3 out of 5 for my entrees. The green curry was excellent! Not overly sweet and again, very traditional Thai style with baby eggplants and lots of vegetables, exactly how I like it. The owner/server was so friendly and nice. The flavors here reminded me of when I lived in Thailand. I will return again soon.

Definitely a 10/10!!! It’s a hole in the wall. I went in to order for the first time today. I only saw a picture from a review someone left and I knew that was what I wanted to try. I didn’t know what it was and I went in to order and the lady working the front was so kind and knew exactly what I wanted… I got the yellow curry and it was sooooo gooooood!! I will be back to order the same thing. The vibe and energy in this place is amazing, it’s a chill space. I will have to come and bring some friends next time and eat inside.

It is a hidden gem. By chance, we came up with this cozy Thai restaurant, and we enjoyed it. Their level of spice is a bit different. I am so familiar with spiciness, but 3rd level out of 5 was tough for me. I should have tried the 2nd.

Looking at the sign on their door, they are celebrating 7 years today! 7 years ago I rented at the apartments across the street and found this Thai restaurant. It was love at first bite and it has been my favorite spot for these last 7 years!

We found this place when we were craving Thai food. There's nothing better than fresh, authentic Thai food; each dish is prepared right before you. You can tell that the owner cares about the quality of her food and the customers. Her husband is a veteran, so dining here while enjoying delicious food also supports a military veteran spouse's business.

My husband and I decided to stop for some Thai food after going to Ikea. We've never eaten here before but it was close by so we gave it a shot. The food was amazing (I had drunken noodles with chicken and I think my husband had the Singapore noodles, also with chicken) and the couple that owns and runs the place were super nice folks. Anytime we find ourselves in Norfolk, we know where we'll be eating!

Suphan Thai is by far, THE best Thai restaurant known to mankind (next to my mom’s cooking of course). The way Chef Cathy and her daughter Ashley prepares the food is like no other. I have never been disappointed eating at Suphan Thai. It’s super, suuper authentic (I’m Thai btw) and very well seasoned. My go to order is always the chicken satay, papaya salad with sticky rice and Thai tea. I’ve eaten there so many times that I’ve had everything on the menu at least once and there is absolutely nothing on their menu that leaves me a bad taste. Suphan Thai will always be my favorite Thai restaurant!!!

I’ve been to Thailand many times and lived in Singapore for 3 years, so I’ve had some incredible Thai food. Suphan Thai is the first time since moving here that I’ve eaten Thai food that reminds me of those places.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The owner and family are welcoming, friendly, and provide outstanding service. Suphan Thai is truly family owned and loved. I had the drunken noodles and my wife had the fried rice and it all tasted great. You have the option to adjust the spiciness of your food. They are also able to adjust or advise based on food allergies. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu

Best Thai in the 757. Perfect spot for a date night or quiet meal. Intimate, cozy, setting where the owner cooks for and serves you herself.

I enjoyed the Oxtail Soup - Felt like home. Well im not from Thailand but the open atmosphere of the kitchen in the restaurant as soon as you walk in, youre looking at your food being made, felt like my mom was cooking in the kitchen. The chef was a mom and waittress was super sweet. Food 10/10. Will definitely be one of my go to Thai Places. Thanks for the food!

Best Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles we've had in a long time. Friendly family place with good service, Suphan is all about the food. Outstanding!

Really amazing all around. The best, most authentic, most flavorful Thai food my husband and I have found in the area. Hands down the closest to the food we ate in Bangkok. Cathy the owner is cooking right in sight, and her daughter Ashley is so incredibly helpful and kind. We went with our two year old son, and they had a child's fork for him and were wonderful sports about him loudly squealing about how much he loved his food.

We had the larb (great flavor), pad Thai (actually contains vegetables!! Amazing amount of flavor compared to the rather bland version often offered), red curry (lots of vegetables, well seasoned, incredibly flavorful) and sticky rice (absolutely perfect - I think we finished it in 30 seconds).

I was really disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, I deleted my pictures. The spring rolls were flavorless without the sauce. [Maybe this is how they are suppose to be]. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I do LOVE the Thai basil! The cucumber salad was phenomenal, but you only get a tablespoon portion worth of it. The other dish I ordered was just ok. The spice levels [even the lowest one] are extremely high, so I should have opted out. I only had a brief interaction with a staff member there, but she had a lovely demeanor. 😊

The Tom Kha Gai is the ultimate feel good food, but the sunmer rolls with pineapple peanut sauce are the stars of the show. I ate the soup too quickly to take a picture, but it’s heavenly. Small quaint Thai restaurant with awesome food. Went with a work group for lunch and ordered appetizers and entrees. Everything came out very good and was wonderful. Service was excellent. They took the time to take care of our custom order. Will definitely return.

First time at this Thai restaurant and I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken. I was very disappointed with the portion size. As you can see in the picture, the dinner portion for $15.95 was disappointing due to the fact that the food only fill up the container 1/2 way. No wonder the takeout bag felt very light. I’m usually satisfied after eating a dinner’s portion of Pad See Ew but I’m still hungry due to the small portion. I’m also used to the wider and thicker noodles. This is the 1st time I’ve had this type of skinnier and thinner noodles. The flavor of the food was decent. I was really rooting for this small business but I definitely do not recommend this restaurant based on my disappointing experience.

Truly authentic Thai food cooked and served in a small but pleasant restaurant by the mother and daughter team that owns it. Spice level is customized to taste and if you need a Thai beer to tame the burn they have that too. They also do take away.

I recently visited this Thai restaurant and was blown away by the delicious food and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The tom yum soup was the perfect balance of spicy and sour, and the green curry was rich and flavorful. The pad thai was also a standout, with perfectly cooked noodles and a tasty sauce.

But the real highlight was the dessert.

Website says open for lunch, message on phone recording says open. Sign on door today says closed for lunch... tried to be a customer.

Went for the first time the other night and was really wowed by the food! The chicken satay was the best I have ever had. My basil stir fry was just as good. My two dining companions were likewise very impressed both with the food and the service. We will be going back soon!

I asked online for the best Thai place in the area and Suphan got the overwhelmingly nod. I took my daughter here for her 15 birthday with seven of our family members and we had the most amazing time. Not only was the food delicious, the service was outstanding. Pet was a phenomenal waitress! She was quick, precise, personable and actually very funny. At the end of the night, her mom, the owner even came out and thanked us, that after already sending a fabulous cheesecake for my daughter to enjoy! The food was excellent, the portions huge and there was not a scrap left between any of us. I’ve found my new home for authentic Thai food!!!

I have been to Thailand before, but the yellow curry at this restaurant was the best I’ve had in my life! It was so nice seeing an owner pounding fresh ingredients to make the initial curry paste. I asked for “medium to low spice,” because Thai cuisine is spicy. This place is a hidden gem.

I miss going here since we moved to Maryland, it was our go to date night place. I get my usual Chicken Pad Thai, it’s amazing. The spice and amount of sauce to noodle ratio is perfection. And the chopped peanuts on top … well you just can’t ask for better. The staff is so friendly and treat you like family the moment you walk through their door. Fresh Thai food was excellent, Owners chef and hubby are excellent host. I was the first in for lunch and was treated like a quest.

Hands down some of the best Thai food you can get in the area. Super fresh flavors and very accommodating to needs.

I got the "kitchen sink" noodles, chef family style.

Eat in if you can. Highly recommended.

I've been to alot of Thai food places in Hampton roads. So far this is the only place in which Thai food isn't sweet which that how it suppose to be.

I want to give them more stars because I’ve had their pad thai & thai tea and I loved it. However, the customer service/satisfaction was disappointing. I’ve been here plenty of times, this time I decided to try something new. I bit it and did not like it at all. I spit it out and called to see if I can get something different, pay the difference, and bring back the order so they see I barely touched it. They told me no, I already ordered it so basically i’m stuck with it even though I won’t be eating it. I wasted my money and that right there caused me to give them 2 stars and I will never be eating from here again. That’s just not right, you could have tried to fix my issue some how instead of being money hungry, that’s how you loose customers.

Absolutely amazing. Miss Kathy made our visit most enjoyable and the food was as close to authentic Thai as we've had, with the exception of one other Thai restaurant that was in the area, and they're no longer in business (Thai Spice in Chesapeake). Miss Kathy told us that her dishes are made from family recipes that Mom and Grandma have been using for years. As said above, the cuisine didn't disappoint. Highly recommend you give Suphan Thai Cuisine a try if you like Thai food. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We love Suphan Thai. We have tried almost everything on the menu and there is nothing we didn't like. You should try the lettuce wraps, it is our favorite. Mrs Kathy is awesome and she always tries to stop and talk.

Excellent, we had a larger order for 4 people takeout however they were patient with the order. The staff is very friendly and the food was wonderful, we got the following~

Shrimp Pad Thai: Had a bit of kick at mild spice and was very flavorful. It was for our grandma and she loved it.

Singapore Noodles with Chicken: Likewise just the right kick for my dad and something he said he'd order again anytime.

Thai Chicken Noodle Soup: No spice ordered for this for my mom and they did just that. Otherwise a very robust taste and lots of tender chicken, the chicken balls were new for her and she loved them.

Ox Tail Soup, mild spice: this was mine and I loved it. A 'lot' of exceedingly tender meat and springy beef balls that were awesome. The broth was very savory, something I will definitely order again.

Chicken Spring Rolls: Fried lightly and crispy, with a great sweet sauce with a little punch.

Overall a great experience and we'll be back, especially to try their crab dishes which look pretty interesting.

WOW!!!! This small hidden treasure in Virginia Beach has some of the BEST food I have eaten in Virginia! The owner is a very friendly and welcoming lady. Her staff were all very helpful, professional and polite. My lady and I found this place yesterday and we had to go back again today! Wish I could give it 10 stars! Definitely a Virginia Beach “Best restaurant”, Hands down!

Food was amazing!! My husband ordered the ginger pork, my daughter ordered the rice soup & I ordered the chicken pad Thai. Every single plate was fresh & delicious!!! We also ordered the Thai tea & it was delicious. The owner came over & asked us if we were doing ok, introduced herself & spoke to us for a little bit. Very friendly, very friendly. We’re visiting from NC but we definitely would come again if ever in the area again.

Great food I love it! I order the red pork fried rice from here all the time! Honestly not many places around come close to this one!

Ok. I should have read the reviews first. I also got the masman curry. Not much spice which is fine but some bites were sweet. Some were strong fish sauce. Wasn't good at all. Loved the mango sticky rice though!

Very good food, good customer service and friendly staff

Ordered food and prepaid. Was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I returned 11 minutes later and my food had not even been started. Watched the cook as she began preparing my Pad Thai noodles... witnessed her stop and check her cellphone then handle ingredients for my food by hand like it was no big deal. Requested a refund and left the store. DO NOT CHECK YOUR DIRTY CELL PHONE WHILE PREPARING CUSTOMERS FOOD. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE.

Awful service. Awful food. This is not authentic Thai food at all. There was a rude lady working there she knew we didn't like our food and basically didn't care. No offer to try and make it right. Smells bad in there too which should have been my first sign not eat there. Awful seriously get food elsewhere don't wastevyour money.

I would most certainly come back. The atmosphere was good. Service friendly food was fabulous. I enjoy Thai food but this was some of the best.

Great food and amazing place! Cathy will take care of you! The food is excellent and made by her from scratch. The lunch specials include a soup or salad and a crispy spring roll. The Thai chili’s on the table are soooo good! There’s a special Kings Rice dish - lump crab fried rice with a fried egg on top! Very tasty! The Thai ice tea is perfect to wash it all down. We will be back again!

Read a review on the papaya salad, so had to come and give it a try! It was absolutely delicious. Tried the Singapore noodles too (an all time favorite) and they were amazing. Cozy little place, with great service. I'd highly recommend!

Ordered the Massaman Curry, Pad Thai and Summer Rolls. Everything was absolutely delicious...and fresh! Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Flavor was below average. Tom kha was bland and the panang curry was 75% beans. Service was good.

I seriously love this place. The food is so fresh and clean tasting and the staff are always very kind and sweet to me. It’s been my “go-to” Thai spot for a few years now. If you haven’t been here yet it’s an absolute must! I’ve brought friends and family alike and have never heard anything other than “that was the best Thai Food [cuisine] I’ve ever had” and I couldn’t agree more, it is.
