There are many choices to eat in the area and I am so glad I picked this place. I love Thai and this was one of the best pad Thai chickens I have eaten. I assume the owners are the servers because the service was amazing. Super polite and they took so much pride in their work. Amazing dinner while traveling and I will return the next time I’m in town. Great meal at a great price too!
We were hestitant when arrived as there was not many guest inside the restaurant in Saturday evening, but decided to give it a try. Food were good, tasty like Thai food always is. Best moo ping (Thai stick) in area. The price was very reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful. I think they may need to improve the vibe, some music and flowers on table could attract more guest to dine-in.
Excellent food and value. Was less than $60 for three people and even had leftovers to take home. Our favorites are the beef salad and fried tofu as a starter. Sometimes we will add the papaya salad. Main course included chicken pad Thai, chicken fried rice, and my favorite chicken Gaeng Par🌶️🌶️🌶️. Gaeng Par is under the curry menu and only served for dinner.
Absolutely loved the ambience, friendly smiling service and fresh hot food. Highly recommend this place.
Khao Soi is out of this world.

5 stars for the drunken noodles! I loved it and I plan to order it again.
Food is not good at all ordered duck and chicken it’s just batter n tiny pieces of meat the duck is just the duck skin trapped inside a ton of batter and they mask it with the heavy load of sauce the chicken isn’t even chicken just batter they robbed me never go here
Quickly prepared delicious Thai food. It’s a staple of our takeout rotation. Prices are very reasonable and food is often ready in less than 20 minutes. Easy to quickly pickup and the waiters are warm and welcoming.

They said they serve halal Chicken but they also have Pork, make food same dishes .
I ordered Pad Thai which should be a straightforward dish for any Thai restaurant. It was served in an inedible state. It tasted overwhelmingly of undercooked fish sauce. It was so strong I didn't even want the plate near me because of the smell. I did try and eat it to see if the taste was better but it wasn't. The shrimp were slightly over cooked but the flavor was horrible. The egg was overcooked and rubbery. The noodles seemed to be cooked ok but I couldn't get past the horrendous flavor. Service was acceptable but it was clear the waitress spoke English as a second language and didn't know the menu fully.
Amazing food and great service! Best Thai restaurant.
Yummy food! Very nice service and kind people.
Seriously the best crispy cashew chicken around. They have some pretty great pad Thai and appetizers too. And they are SO NICE. Seriously love this place.
Always great food. Lots of selection. Have done dine-in and carryout.
Outstanding! Friends introduced us to this wonderful taste of Thailand. We ventured into Thai dishes never tried before and it was a delight. So used to the Panang Beef at Rabieng, needed to get out of the rut! Tried drunken noodles and shared their pineapple fried rice. Our party also enjoyed the Tom Yum Shrimp soup, the house special 9 Pad Thai and the Fried Tofu Pad Thai. Our server was very attentive and anticipated our requests. Servings were all shareable and prices were competitive (at least in today's market). There was a pretty consistent stream of folks coming in to pick up their to-go orders. 9 Pad Thai Restaurant was a quiet environment on a Wednesday night that lacked dining in clientele and background music. Bring a seat cushion if you plan a leisurely meal.
My fav place to eat. Food is great! 😊
This is the best Thai restaurant in the greater Washington D.C area. Authentic flavors and dishes at an excellent price. You can't beat 9PadThai!
The absolute best Pad Thai I have had since moving to Northern Virginia!! I ordered the chefs special 9 Pad Thai, and it was amazing. So flavorful!
We had the pad Thai, red curry, and drunken noodles. We eat Thai regularly and have lived in nova 10+ years…this is the best Thai food take out we have ever had. Definitely recommend.
I did carry out but the restaurant is nice on the inside, but the floor was sticky. Not sure what that was about. The food was very good and definitely will be back.
One of the best Thai food places that I’ve ever been. The food is fresh and amazing. I’m at a losss for words. The mango sticky rice is out of this world
In comparison with other Thai Restaurants, this place was okay. Nothing that blew me away. The plate that I ordered was okay flavor wise. Had the Crab Fried Rice. For appetizer, I had the Fried Calamari. Disappointed with that. So, it's up to you to have your own experience. The service was nice and fast though.
Exceptional Thai spot in the area!
Buena comida y agradable 😋
Delicious food...surprisingly
Went here on a whim....non descrip, medium sized restaurant with absolutely delicious food.
I have been eating Thai food for 25 years plus this is by far the worst Thai food I’ve ever had the pad se ew noodles were terrible and the panang curry didn’t even taste like panang curry and don’t get me started on the Tom yum soup it was inedible.
TOO EXPENSIVE 3 times they got the order wrong I asked them the 3rd visit to make sure they had pork not chicken. He told me it was pork. Said he would not give me a refund. 60$ a pop! This place is far TOO EXPENSIVE to be disrespected when asking for the correct order.
This is the 1st time back since the pandemic. The atmosphere is quiet. The dining room is super clean. I was promptly seated and my order taken. The staff was very attentive without hovering too much. I had the shrimp pad Thai, kanoom jeeb, and the spring rolls.
The apps came out quickly and piping hot. The pad thai followed a few minutes later. I have always enjoyed coming here. Would return all the time if I could. My only issue is the spring rolls could have been drained more (better). Will come back again and more often to try new things.
THE BEST THAI RESTAURANT! I’ve been to all the best local popular Thai restaurants around the NoVa area for last 2 decades and nothing beats here! Best drunken noodles, I always ask for extra Smokey, charred a little and they always do it for me & their servers are all the nicest and remember their customers and accommodate all my requests. The food is so flavorful and fresh always and consistent. They offer amazing variety of authentic dishes here too, but I just love their drunken noodles that we get two orders. They are have halal beef I believe!! Every time I try another Thai place out of convenience, I am disappointed and nothing compares.
This place is fave. The food is consistently amazing. Anything you order, you'll be happy with. Interior could be updated, but the food is *chef kiss*
We really enjoyed our meal at 9 pad Thai. We split a cashew chicken order and it was absolutely delicious. 100% would do again. The server was really nice and service was fast and the restaurant was decorated with some Christmas lights really tastefully. I really enjoyed the whole thing.
As a Thai native, this place was an amazing find. Authentic and delicious. Can ask for spicy or not spicy. Good service and the owner was the chef today when we went. It was amazing. Will be returning. Mac was our waiter. Great service.
Excellent spot for Thai food and they serve halal chicken too. Loved their fried calamari, chicken wonton, drunken noodles and crispy chicken as well. Would highly recommend it for halal food lovers to try. Also, the serving size is pretty fulfilling
Try their crispy watercress salad.. amazing!
Every time I come here the service and food are fantastic. I’m greeted and feel welcomed. The ingredients are super fresh and tasty. And priced perfectly. One of my favorite places to go.
Great PadThai.👍🏼
A cute little restaurant with a bungalow type theme inside. We’ve come here for a couple years and have enjoyed each dish we have tried. I especially like the 9Pad Thai signature dish where the wrap your pad Thai in an egg omelet but I decided to try something a little different this time. I got the pad Thai on a bed of crispy noodles. Similar to lo mein noodles, light and airy and definitely crispy! The sauce was a little more vinegary and tangy than the regular pad Thai. This is a good dish to have on a hot summer day as it will make you feel refreshed and its not a heavy dish.
The restaurant is located in a busy strip mall/plaza with lots of other restaurants but we’ve never had an issue finding parking. Bathrooms are well hidden as you need to wind to the back of the restaurant down hallways (for those that may need assistance or wheelchair access - there are no stairs but a turn or two), but they are clean!
Love their delicious, creative pad thai options! The other dishes we've tried are great too, it's now our go-to spot for pad thai.
We tried many dishes and they all were amazing! Best Thai food we have had in NOVA.
I came here once after changed of ownership in 2016? Than pad that was $15. Very expensive then. Now I don't know if it is $20 or more. I never see a customer inside or workers. I wonder how many ownership of this 9Pad Thai.
Food was fantastic. The staff was great.
I ordered online a medium spicy drunken noodles with beef and a fried tofu appetizer from 9 Pad Thai for $21.09. The noodles were spicy enough for me and the beef was good. They came in a metal container, which was better than the polystyrene foam container for the tofu (massive room for improvement here). The tofu was fairly bland and the sauce didn't really help it. The order was ready on time for pickup. Would get the drunken noodles with beef again, but not the tofu.
The food is really good. It is one of my favorite Thai places in the area. The food is consistent. It is very flavorful. I ordered many different dishes and the majority of them were extremely delicious. I have been to Thailand and their food is close to what you get there. Keep up the good work with the lovely Thai food.
I don’t understand this place. Sometimes it’s amazing, then times like today everything is extremely spicy to the point you can’t even eat it.(and I love spicy) I’ve had perfectly cooked meat and then meat that was raw.
Clean fresh food.
Pretty expensive and the pad thai was overwhelmingly sour. Couldn’t taste anything else except vinegar. The pineapple fried rice was pretty good.
The best Thai restaurant all around. Needless to say, I’m a regular, and always happy with their delicious food and their great service!
I ordered my usual pad Thai. It’s always great. I asked for extra bean sprouts as I usually do when I dine in and this time I was told there would be an additional $2 dollar up charge for bean sprouts with my Pad Thai take out🤔. REALLY? I’ll stop by Giant next door next time and grab my own bean sprouts😠.Very disappointed.
Nice little spot for a tasty dinner.
The crispy duck basil is 90% batter and 10% duck meat. No one would notice because they season it well, but it’s a scam
Nice food good portions rice was a lil on the sturdy side but nice menu and all items were nice Thai tea was good.
This isn’t the worst Thai restaurant I’ve been to, but it most certainly is not the best. Let’s start with once we were seated and looked at the menus. We recognized right away that the menus were sticky, and had food residue on them, because clearly the staff doesn’t clean the menus.
They have a wide variety of food selection which is appealing. I ordered the Spaghetti kee moa- medium spicy and what they served me was so spicy that I couldn’t even eat it. I eat enough Thai food to know what medium spicy should be and this was extra, extra spicy! My stomach literally started to get a burning sensation after eating a few bites. Honestly everything that was ordered was too spicy. Also the papaya salad is more chunks of cabbage than actual papaya salad. Probably a trick to make the salad look more abundant. Disappointed to say the least and won’t come back.
Great service, great food. We got the 9 pad thai, chicken curry noodles, and custard sticky rice. Everything was extremely delicious, especially the curry noodles. For those that eat halal, you're in luck! The chicken they serve is zabiha halal. Definitely coming back here for more.
Worst Pad Thai ever, very mushy and overcooked noodles. Get a better chef.
I highly recommend 9 Pad Thai restaurant. The attention to detail with the taste of their food including noodles and stir fry dishes is far superior than other Thai restaurants in Springfield. This is what Thai food should taste like; flavorful and complex. Mince meat stir-fry with basil is delicious and so are the yums (salad with various protein(meat of your choice)). Compared to another Thai restaurant near the Springfield Post Office, which I think is extremely over-hyped, 9 Pad Thai is by far much better all around. Lastly, for those who has negative experience with "to-go" orders, in my personal opinion, EAT AT THE RESTAURANT. To go containers, for some reason, alter the consistency of Thai food. The only dish that I found to be the same regardless of how it is handled is the curry. Their green curry is delicious.
The crispy watercress together with the loaded sauce is 👏 amazing!
Very good food! The rice is perfect and never mushy. Their Tom yum soup is fresh and one of the best ones I’ve had in the DMV . Their spaghetti used to be my favorite dish on the menu but I think the recipe has changed or the cook has changed.
Great spot for Thai food! I got the yellow curry, my friend got the pad see ew and we shared curry puffs and spring rolls. Will definitely be back and tell my friends about this place!
Great food and amazing speed. Get the pad kee moaw or drinking noodles!
The Absolute BEST!
I'm in a road trip from watertown ny and stop by and God this food is amazing the best Thai food ever.
We ordered drunken noodles with chicken for dinner, which was spot on.
We ate here for lunch. It wasn’t super busy so the service was quick and the food was good! We had the pad see ewe, drunken noodles, and spring rolls. It was reasonably priced as well for good lunch sized portions.
I came here on 2 separate occasions last year and both times there were tables available for immediate seating. I had the Woon sen pad thai the first time and just the regular pad thai the second time. Both dishes were delicious and the portions were filling. I kind of wish they cooked the bean sprouts a bit more but that's just my personal preference. I also tried a bite of my boyfriend's drunken noodles. It was very flavourful but too spicy for my liking. The waiters provided excellent service as well.
Food ready on time. Delicious!!
Delicious food. Amazing customer service. The ambiance is cute, too.
Wow very delicious 😋
Delicious!!
Great food and super clean!
This is the most authentic Thai restaurant in the area. Their drunken noodles dish is very flavorful.
Num tuk was great. If you can eat real Thai hot food to little spice, this place can do it.
Yummy! Exceptional service, great quality, and delicious. A trifecta!
Great real Thai food 👌
Wonderful Thai food. I love this place!
Very clean atmosphere. You don't have to worry about the food smells in your coat. The portions were just right, and the prices were reasonable. There's a wide variety of choices that I will surely love to try next time. Good service!
The pad thai was not bad. The panang curry tasted great with rice. My waitress was a bit rude and unwelcoming. They didn't greet themselves and just plopped the menu on the table and walked away. Then gave a bad attitude with taking order and giving the check. I'd probably order take out from here instead of dining in.
Best Thai food I’ve had in dc so far!
Good food. Good value. Fresh ingredients. Nice people
The pad Thai is so good
I never understand how this place isnt swamped with customers when we go!!! This is easily the best thai food resturaunt i have ever been too.. portions are large even for lunch!! I could literally lick the plate clean it is that good!!! One of my all time favorite places!! The staff is extremely friendly and excellent service.. its like a deliciously spicy heaven inside my mouth!!! I leave feeling full and happy!!! Flavor implosions with the freshest ingredients! Highly HIGHLY reccomend this little gem!!
Good food, nice menu!
I have mixed feelings about this place, let me tell you my experience. I order take out for lunch and I get my all time favorite from Thai restaurants crispy basil duck and crab fried rice. The crispy basil duck was the crispy and delicious but the thing was it was just fat and batter, no meat but I like it but I was expecting duck meat. The crab fried rice was adequate I wish Thai restaurants have a side sauce for there fried rice. I definitely would have to try more food from here to see. Like I said I have mixed feelings about this place.
Good food , fair price , good service and consistent !
Pad Thai was great here. Very saucy and the beef was tender and had great flavor.
Really good drunken noodles - just spicy enough!
Worse Pad Thai I ever tasted! I could have made it at home. I think the cook is not pure Thai. The taste is weird. Waste of money and time!
Ordered pad see ew using grub hub. Food tasted burnt. if it wasn't for the burnt taste, everything would be been great.
Really disappointed in this restaurant’s lack of concern for the health and safety of its customers. I ordered pineapple fried rice and substituted shrimp (allergic!) for chicken. When I got home and took a bite I discovered they’d given me shrimp (although the receipt clearly says chicken). Called the restaurant to explain my allergy and was told to come back for a replacement. Upon arrival, I received no apology for the mishap just an attempt at a swift exchange. Because of this lack of concern, I asked for a refund and not even the manager who came out to provide it apologized. Lucky for me this didn’t end up in a hospital trip. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
I guess we came during lunch time. All the Thai workers were just behind the counter making drinks and eating. Our waitress barely said a word to us. Didn't greet us, didn't ask for drinks. Just put the menu down and came back to take the otders. This was 7/23/22 at 420pm. I thought something was wrong with her until I heard her laugh and joke with the others behind the counter.
Not going back
The food was excellent. The Cashew Chicken was delicious. I'd be back!
It’s my first time trying out the place. I was told it would take 25 mins for pickup. Ended up waiting an additional 15-20 mins at the store. I paid for extra tofu on the Pad Thai and got three pieces and said it came with a lunch spring roll but that was not in the bag either. Pretty disappointing experience. Other Thai restaurants have better service but at least it tasted good.
Some of the best Asian food I've had. The Cashew Chicken tasted even better than it looked!
Got takeout and the food was delicious! I ordered the Pad Thai, the Chicken Satay, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All three were fantastic. Some of the best Mango Sticky Rice that I’ve had. I’d definitely order from here again.
You might get your food in an hour, maybe two.
Innovative Thai dishes that are well prepared and served by helpful staff. Good for dine-in or take out, although there can be a wait for takeout.
If you're not familiar with Thai food, they have a picture menu available that let's you see what dishes look like. If you're still unsure, try the 9 pad Thai, the house signature dish. You won't be disappointed. If you're more adventurous, try the fried watercress salad. It is like nothing you're every had before. It is delicious both without and with the dressing.
My only complaint here is that they charge for extra rice. Considering the prices of the dishes, they could include one extra serving of rice without charge.
I had the chefs special to try something new and I really liked it. I would absolutely come back again
I enjoy their food and usually get takeouts from them. And my first visit dinning in was a little disappointing. All the food was great as usual. But I’m not happy that they didn’t tell me that they charge for extra white rice, and for $2 no less. Again, their food is good, that’s why I asked for extra rice, mainly because the little bit of the white rice that came with the entrée wasn’t enough and I wanted more to finish the food and soak up the sauces. They didn’t tell me it will cost extra, and I only found out after I got the check and it was way more than what I expected for plain white rice.
Legit Thai food here! Arroy Mak Mak!!!
This is my new favorite take out joint. The food is so flavorful, everything I’ve tasted so far was delicious! The staff is quick and efficient.
Great Thao restaurant! Food is always great.
Fi st time Thai food experience and it was amazing. Tried the Drunken Noodles(Spicy) and wow was it tasty. Add in the fact it was inexpensive it was truly an incredible experience.
DECLINED DELIVERY ORDERS: Ordered for delivery, thought it was the card I was using so I switched to Paypal, nada, so switched to a different online ordering service, and same thing. FOUR cancelled orders from them!!! I tried calling but got hung up on, told to hold and then after ten minutes a "click" to hang up, and then just rang. And I did call both the ordering companies, they said the business regularly cancels orders without reason. Asked in a neighborhood page, same issues from others. SO frustrating, a half hour waste of time without food, remove your business from these sites if they are SO inconvenient for your business!! Thai is my favorite thing to get delivered as I order at least one app, 2 entrees, and dessert, just for me for leftovers. :)
The food is so good I can’t help but get flash backs from when I lived in Thailand.
Wow. Just close your eyes and point to something on the menu. It will be good. I’m usually happy if a restaurant has a few good items but everything here was good. The mango and sticky rice dessert? Great! I’ve had it other places, including Laos in D.C. and I just assumed I didn’t like mango and sticky rice. We’ll no I just never had it made right until I came here. I had a 7yo and a 2yo with me and both were loving the food as well. It’s a major win when the kids eat it too! The curries are made from scratch, the soups are made with fresh ingredients. You can tell because the complexity and depth of flavor is dialed in perfectly. I make curry with the canned curry paste at home which is good but this place’s curry is A-mazing!! So stop reading and start eating!!
I'm blown away by this place! I have been coming here for sometime now, and i'm amazed by the service and the food. The drunken noodle, Tom Yum, and pad thai always on point with spices and herbs. I eat lots of thai food, but finding something this good is just a good luck i guess. Next time i will add pics of the food.
I'm disappointed 😞 my food was very over cooked. My pineapple fried rice my shrimp and scallops were very dry. The seafood fried rice very dry. My scallops were decent tho. Definitely wasted 50$
This was a terrible experience! If I could have rated the food lower than 1 star, I would.
Each item I ordered had an issue.
1. Wontons - there was no chicken in it.
2. Pad Thai - they put so much peanuts that the only thing we tasted was peanuts. Made the food inedible- it was more like just eating spoonfuls of crushed nuts sautéed in oil.
3. Crispy Pork- smelled funny and tasted as though it was spoiling. Maybe it was made previously and then refried when we ordered it.
Will not ever order from here again!
Luckily DoorDash was able to refund my payment. Proceed with caution if you are ordering food from here online!
I would give this restaurant a 5 star. Food is very good, tasty and good portion..mostly well maintained clealiness of there restaurants is the best!! Customer service is awesome as well!!!
the best spring roll ive ever eaten omg, the staff are so nice and there’s an overall really nice ambiance. Their pad thai is ready good too
Good food reasonable prices.
If you are delivery driver do not chose this restaurant, the orders never been ready. staffs are not coorprative, they treat you as begger
Delicious Thai food. Everytime I've been here it has been great. The sauces are always on point and the wide variety of dishes means you can always try something new. Lots of vegetarian options available and the papaya salad has always been delicious - very spicy and tasty! Service is always very quick and friendly! Best Thai food in the area.
Great experience. Crispy Noodle Pad Thai was 🔥🔥🔥. The staff were very sweet and attentive!
Holy Pad Thai, the signature Pad Thai dish was delicious. Great and quiet atmosphere!
I almost lost consciousness how delicious the food was!
Delicious blood every time. I typically Tom yum noodle soup and it is constantly delicious, if not consistently the same spice level. But that is what the Thai ice tea is for.
Delicious! Great service!
Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Portion sizes were large. There was plenty left over to take home. We went on a Sunday so there was no lunch menu but our meal came with a spring roll. Green curry was spicy and very good. Service was good. If you are in the area and craving Thai food, give this a go.
This place used to be managed well when it first opened. The food is decent but lately the wait times are horrible. Even when called in 30-45 minutes, have had to still wait for the food to be ready.
Delicious food, generous portions reasonably priced. We will definitely come back!
Excellent service, delicious Panang Curry.
By far the best and most authentic Thai restaurant in NoVA. They don’t cater to the American palette because the default spicy levels on some dishes are pretty darn spicy, and I can handle spicy food myself. They use legit ingredients you won’t find anywhere else in the area. The servers are always so polite and gracious for you to be there. And the best part: they have a picture menu of all their dishes (that’s how you know this is a legit Asian restaurant).
We ordered carryout and the food was incredible! We can't wait to try dine-in some time soon!
Good authentic Thai dishes (mostly). Friendly and reasonable price.
Great entrees but have not found an appetizer that I like. Mostly love how strong and flavorful their sauces are and how crispy their noodles are. No soggy noodles here! Have been consistently good for years now.
Curry tastes like water , seafood has strong fishy smell, service it’s really slow.
We had lunch of the highest quality! We travel to Bangkok every year, the 9 Pad Thai meets or exceeds all of the top 5 star restaurants in Thailand.
I had their special Pad Thai and it was so delicious! My wife had their beef noodle soup and it was exceptional.
We will definitely return, and make it our go to Thai restaurant.
Some of the best thai food I've had recently. The 9 pad thai dish is really authentic and tasty. Also got the cripsy basil duck and I was throughly impressed (sometimes it gets soggy when you order it for delivery but this was still crispy when it got here). I wish I could give this more than 5 stars!!
I ordered yesterday a pad see ew and it was super salty. I couldn’t eat it .
Great service and high quality food! A Springfield gem
Excellent Pad Thai and red curry dishes
Good Thai food; friendly service; moderate prices; ample parking.
Super food, waiting is longer than most Asian take-outs, but if you plan for it, you will find the wait worth it.
This is the best Thai restaurant in Northern Virginia. I have had the Crispy Duck Basil which is scrumptious, flavorful, spicy, crispy dish. The 9 pad Thai fish is very artistic and spicy. I have also had crabmeat fried rice, duck drunken noodle, all those dishes are succulent and delicious. This is a a very good Thai restaurant.
I'm Thai, I eat here at least twice a month. I cant type too much right now... I'm eating!!!
So flavorful and so many options. Small little restaurant but one of the best in the area!
Let's just say it's worth my 40 min drive to go get it. I do have Thai place near me that's good but one I came to 9PadThai they are now mediocre.
Great authentic thai food
