This is my wife and I’s go-to Thai spot. Any time she’s feeling a little unwell, a large serving of their Tom Yum is a huge help.

They always do super cute decorations whatever the holiday may be, and the food is all top notch at very reasonable prices.

They were exceptionally busy today (Valentine’s Day) but their staff was still so kind to me while I waited for my to-go order. Always a delight and always delicious!

We started with a few appetizers..
The mussels basil was really delicious, I wish I would have gotten a second order. The calamari was decent, a little too much breading. The summer rolls were definitely riding high, especially with the homemade peanut dip. I would order those again any day.
For the meals the we ordered the Pad Woon Sen with fried tofu, Thai spicy. The spice was amazing, tofu fried perfect, and tons of vegetables. .. the Cashew noodle dish with fried tofu was also incredible with tons of flavor. Last dish I can't remember what the name was but it came out presented with rice in the shape of a heart.
With all of these different flavors that seemed to come together so well, I'm not sure what you could go wrong with. The portions are also quite big. If you are in the mood for some good quality Thai, check out iThaiz and you shouldn't be disappointed.

I have 0 complaints about the food. We had the wontons and Thai crab cakes as appetizers. Both were different than what I’m used to but I’d order them again. My basil fried rice was flavorful and filling. My boyfriend had the iThaiz fried rice with chicken and we didn’t expect it to come deconstructed but combined it was great but next day it was even better. Everything is a great value as we had leftovers of everything the next day and I’ll always recommend for great Thai!

Like others have said, the aesthetic of this place is 5 Star. Beautiful setup for a local Thai restaurant. I’d take a date here. Seating was nice and open. The crab cake was not like a Baltimore crab cake, where I’m from, but I really enjoyed it. It was really crispy and delicious. Didn’t really need the sweet and sour sauce but I enjoyed it even more with it. I got the Bangkok chicken. It was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I really enjoyed it. The display was beautiful with the heart shaped rice and the garnishes on the chicken. A+ all around! They are making a real effort here. Service was really fast which I really appreciate.

Conveniently located on the southside, iThaiz is near the intersection of Courthouse & Lucks Lane, Midlothian. The restaurant is quaint w several tables tucked away in the back. Carryout appears brisk. For a Thai neophyte, the menu with tons of selections & descriptions, categories, and pages was daunting. I was overwhelmed. With our waitress' helpful suggestions, we chose Green Curry w mixed vegetables & a side of Jasmin rice, and Pad Thai Noodles w beef. My wife liked her green curry. However, when I sampled it there was a peculiar taste created by the coconut milk in it that I didn't enjoy. The Pad Thai Noodles dish with beef was unimpressively brown with crushed peanuts atop. The beef was tender. However, despite it and the nuts, the dish lacked texture, and apart from a few cuts of tasty green onion missed freshness. If these two entrées are typical Thai dishes I don't see what's so appealing. I want you to know, I'm not shading the restaurant, a lot of ppl love this place. It's just now I'm pretty convinced Thai isn't my favorite Asian cuisine.

I was recently introduced to Ithaiz for a party. At the party, we were served a wide sampling of the menu, and I was really impressed. I had decided that, given time and occasion, I would come back. Tonight was that night. Being that I have been dreadfully sick the past few weeks, I just wanted something homey and, honestly, gentle on the system. So, I picked the Thai Noodle Soup. It was incredible. By far, the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had.

Their food is delicious. Great place with great service. If you are ordering to pickup they are quick and dinning in is quick as well. Love the curry puffs.

Food is just flat out horrible

I ordered via DoorDash and their food was very basic, not worth the price.

Mediocre to say the least. The drunken noodles was a messy blob of sticky noodles with hardly any meat. The crying tiger is supposed to be beef “slow grilled” but it was a few pieces of gray looking beef sitting on a bed of lettuce. There was nothing “slow grilled” about it. The pepper steak was more a vegetable dish - filled with vegetables and very little meat. We felt ripped off. I’d be embarrassed to serve these dishes if I were a restaurant owner.

No words can describe how fully authentic and fully amazing this strip mall Thai restaurant is. Just go. Order anything, then ask for more. I promise, you will NEVER, EVER be disappointed.

We had the appetizer for 2 and they were all so good, then we shared drunken noodles and they were delicious. The noodles and chicken were cooked to perfection. For dessert we had sticky rice w/ mango and caramel cheesecake. They were both sweet and tasty. 10/10 would have again!

Great customer service and great food. Someone’s grandmother is definitely cooking in the back. Food is great no matter what I order. My favorite is the Thai basil talapia 10/10.

Listen...it's Christmas Eve & I'm reviewing this restaurant, that should tell you something. Its good, Man...like...really good! So far I've had crispy duck basil, chicken satay, thai noodle soup & a few other things. Food is consistently good, can usually find delivery specials & my order is always correct with no missing items.

We go here a lot for our After Church luncheon

Everything was delightful - including the waiter.

I got to sit outside in the beautiful weather and the server was amazing and attentive. The food was delicious (I got shrimp pad thai) and the bubble waffle ice cream was the perfect dessert. I've gotten takeout here and recently, dined outside, and look forward to coming again

We have been eating here for years, and have never had a complaint! Whether we choose to dine in, carry out, or have it delivered through DoorDash, the food is always fresh and tasty. My wife has Celiac disease and loves the chicken and rice soup. The menu has enough variety that even very picky eaters will find something to enjoy. If you haven’t tried iThaiz yet, you’re missing out!

Wasnt a huge fan of pad thai till i one slow day the waiter brought out a sauce/spice rack.

The flavor(not the hotness) from the chili flakes was everything the dish had been missing.

Ask for the spice rack. It had chili oil, chili vinegar, flakes, and something else.

I was craving drunken noodles so I did a search in Google Maps and this restaurant came up.
Great choice!! The food was perfect. Aside from drunken noodles, we tried the garlic favor dinner, the steamed dumplings and the egg fried rice. Absolutely flavorful. The food was served very fast. Excellent service. I'll be back soon!

Everything was very good! The crispy chicken was high quality and so was the steak. Cooked perfectly.

Haven’t had such solid Thai food since I’ve been in Richmond. They also have a cute market area for Thai snacks in the front. They make very tasty homemade plantain chips for purchase there too.

The food is good. Which is why I continue to give them chances. But the prices keep going up and the service keeps getting worse. Make sure to triple check your takeout order before your leave if you don't want to drive back for the correct dishes.

I can't speak to the service or atmosphere so I gave 5 stars on those but the food was mediocre at best. The basil fries appeared to be frozen crinkle cut fries with what tasted like Mae Ploy with frozen basil. The basil was anything but fresh and it was definitely either frozen or over-refrigerated. No happy with the price I paid for the food I was provided.

Customer service is non existent . We were using a coupon, showed it when ordering, ordered extra to get to the minimum for the coupon, went to pay and they refused to honor their coupon. Won’t be going back

I had a really great experience. Great service and food. My wife's food was too spicy so they made her a fresh one super quick with no spice.

the food was just okay it was basically a $25.89 disappointment. I had stir fried veggies and chicken and spring rolls, very basic hard to get wrong stuff. it tasted okay but would have been happier going to the grocery store across the parking lot and making my own, yielding a better portion for much less money. absolutely nothing entices me to go back. the Waiter that took my order was the most pleasant part of that experience.

Best Thai food in Virginia!

Called my order in and had a few questions and the woman was incredibly helpful. The Yum Yum salad with beef was fresh and very flavorful. This is my favorite thing to order at Thai restaurants and theirs is at the top of my list. The the broccoli lovers with shrimp was also delicious and had a slightly sweet flavor to it, which balanced out the American spicy level very well.

Best Asian food stop in Midlothian in my experience. Can't brag on how good the food was. If you love Thai food, this is the stop. They have all your favorites and more!

My friends and I ordered food from Ithaiz tonight. The food was mediocre and expensive. In the future we will order from The Kitchen instead - they are expensive but at least the food is worth it. The spring rolls were tiny, over fried, and dry. The satay was $15 for 4 small pieces, which is outrageous. I had the drunken noodles which I had asked to be as spicy as possible. The noodles were massively overcooked and soggy. It was not spicy at all, not even a tiny bit, so that felt intentional. Ordering here was a massive waste of money.

My husband and I got takeout from here last year and enjoyed so we were both extremely disappointed and surprised at how bad the food was yesterday we dined in.
My husband got the pad thai with chicken and i got the drunken noodles.
I wish I had taken pictures but the pad thai noodles didn't even look like pad thai noodles they looked like spaghetti they were so thin. I've never seen pad thai noodles like that. The pad thai was swimming in some God awful sauce literally swimming in it. Both dishes but especially the pad thai had a very distinct bad odor. If I could give 0 stars I would.
We all work hard for our money and when we want to treat ourselves to a dinner and end up getting the food we got there is rather disappointing to say the least.
We will not be returning under any circumstances.
I hope this review helps someone save their time and hard earned money.

It was okay not the best i have had....just 1st time there...I had the red curry....i would eat there in again if i was near but wouldnt go out of my way

My husband ordered some pad thai and thai iced tea for Mother's Day on a delivery app, and they forgot my tea (maybe the delivery person), but made my Pad Thai spicy, even though there was explicit directions to not make it spicy.

The staff is awesome, the atmosphere is cool, and the food is amazing! I've tried something new everytime and everything has been great everytime!

Ordered 2 Pad Thais, which should be a no brainer. 1 Pork, 1 Chicken. First, the two were not consistent in terms of sauce and noodles. One was more dry and 'overdone' than the other. At 14.95, so at 22.5% food cost, the ingredients should be about 3.35. Not so here. Meat was sooooo minimal. I realize noodles can compress when packed, but the darn thing should be FULL at least. Greatly disappointing. Great ordering system, but we won't be using it again. Scrimpy, and no thrill on the tastebuds either. Point of reference - if I can go 'Chinese ' and get General TSO's, which is 100% meat for 14.50, I would at least expect some effort here.

Food here is a little bland than most of the Thai food I have eaten. Lychee martini was good though!

My wife had chicken dumplings and yum yum soup. We didn't like the dumplings, whick tasted like fried ground chicken balls. I had the Massaman curry with ground peanuts topping. It came with no peanuts and when I asked, the waitress brought out a bowl with some whole peanuts. The soup and curry were average and portion size was ok.

Absolutely a great restaurant with a great menu. Excellent service and friendly staff, and a nice location. The food was really good and well presented, and the seating was comfortable.

This was probably the worst food I’ve had in awhile. I got the pad thai and the crying tiger. Not only was the pad thai overcooked and soft, the sauce was too sweet. The crying tiger was abomination of beef. They should be ashamed to serve food to the public. I wish I could get a refund but I just know to not come back again.

I ordered delivery and the food was extremely bad and rotten. The spring roll was smelling rotten. Felt like I was eating food that was standing out of the fridge for few days. I also ordered Panang curry with tofu. Which was watery and had no taste at all. I barely found any vegetables and only 5 tofu. Very disappointed. Never ordering from this place! Please save yourself time and money.

Every time we dine here, I always tell my husband how happy I am he found this gem. We were in the city 2 weeks ago and tried a place there, it did NOT come close to the service, and quality of iThaiz. There food is so flavorful and delicious, and cooked with fresh ingredients. My favorites are the basil fried rice, steamed dumplings, crispy duck, AND the crab & shrimp fried rice. Also, if you want an unexpected joy, try the Mac & cheese wontons! I can’t wait to try other things off the menu!

We have been ordering from here for 3 years and it’s always been great. I’m not sure what happened but we received multiple inedible dishes.
Satay- It just didn’t taste right, it was like the spice mix was completely off.
Drunken Noodles-So salty it couldn’t be eaten.
Chicken Fried Rice-Bland no seasoning.

I’m new to the area and thought there would be more of a Thai selection. It’s not necessary! This food ranks right up there with some of the best I’ve had! Fresh. Flavorful, and Fast! LOVED IT!

I really wanted to love this restaurant. I love Thai food, but we went one evening and ordered a variety of dishes. I did not like one dish I ate. My kids did enjoy theirs, but felt ill the next morning. It was not busy at all when we arrived, yet it took a good 10-15 minutes to be seated. We were told something incorrect about my son's meal, making it cost more, but overall waitstaff was nice. Sadly, I don't think we will be returning.

The Tom Kha Gai (Coconut Soup) isn't the best I've had but it's definitely quality and fragrant! The Banana Spring Rolls were surprisingly delicious and not overly sweet. Overall, wish I was in town to try more menu items because this place is a great price and authentic!

The Panang Curry was great, the heat was spot on for me!!!!

Ordered takeout tonight and it was extremely disappointing. I've ordered a few times in the past couple of years because we live close and it has progressively gotten worse. This evening I was told the estimated pickup time when I placed my order was 6:23. My husband literally waited over 30 minutes past this time in the restaurant to get the food. Once he got home it was honestly disgusting and barely resembled Thai food at all. I will not be coming back here and I don't recommend anyone else does either.

Interesting place. Food was ok. Not up to par with most Thai restaurants we go to. They only had one person working the floor. If in the area again probably would opt for another place honestly.

Very very disappointed in the food. Got the drunken fried rice w/ chicken. I received plain white chicken and rice with no seasoning, nothing. I had to add my own sauce to make it edible.

The service by Athena was above & beyond wonderful. Additionally, the food is some of the best Thai food I’ve had! I love that the noodles in my Pad Thai were not dry, wonderful sauce & flavor. I will definitely be back, often!

Surprisingly good. An unexpected gem of an experience. Lettuce wraps and Curry Puffs to start, wow what a start. The Wonton Soup was home made and amazing. The best I have ever had. The Penang Chicken was perfect. If you like it hot, American hot is hot. Any hotter will hurt (in my opinion). And to complete the surprises, the dessert. Banana spring rolls with a caramel dipping sauce.

If I had one last meal on this earth it would be the tofu lettuce wraps. I mean this whole-heartedly, this is my favorite restaurant. The staff is phenomenally nice. The service is prompt, you will never reach the bottom of your beverage without a quick refill. Always smiles. The servings are large, the food is always consistent, and I always leave wanting more.

What a wonderful little gem! The service was great, (this pretty lady was seating, taking orders, serving and taking payments too!) Whew! And the food was perfection! The curry puffs were very good and quite large. Crispy outside, soft and delectable inside. The Massaman curry with chicken was mouthwateringly good and quite spicy at a 2 out of 5. Delish!!

Not only do I hate looking at a menu on my phone but also can never get mine to register. Waiter said they had paper menus but they weren't updated. Everyone staring at their phone really takes away from the overall experience.

Got the lettuce wraps, The pieces of lettuce were so small you couldn't wrap the anything in them. I got it to go, no napkins, no plastic ware. I called to complain and was told there is a to-go station to get napkins, etc. Guess I needed a crystal ball to figure that out since I was not told that when I picked up my food. Never again.

Deeply unimpressed with the service at this place. I placed an order and an hour after the food was supposed to be ready, still don’t have anything. And they won’t even give updates. Incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable.

We ordered DoorDash from this restaurant and were very disappointed in the quality of the food. The noodles were over cooked (mushy)and lacked flavor. The curry came with very little ingredients (mostly water), and the appetizers- dumplings and calamari- tasted like microwave-freezer food. I do not recommend this restaurant.

If you are willing to drive closer to the city, I recommend Sabai, Patio Thai, Thai top ten, or Mom’s Siam.

Food was great. Quiet casual dining atmosphere and good service. Definitely adding to my takeout/delivery options list.

Friendly fast service and wonderful Pad Thai & Basil Fried Rice!

Very Good, it's been a while since I had red curry but boy oh boy they made me love it all over again. The curry puff was absolutely delicious and my husband loved the pineapple rice with seafood and the dumplings. Thank you for satisfying our appetite last night

We eat here once or twice a month. Saturday was the first time our order was not right. We called the store, and the remade our order with no problem at all. Very nice and polite staff and management, and the food is always hot and good.

Dismally small portions for the price. Missing an item in our takeout order and they don’t answer the phone. One person running the entire front of house (host, bussing, serving, checkout, carry out, phones, orders) is a bit crazy. No spice level was bland, one pepper spicy on one entree was super bland and on the other entree it had me tearing up.

It wasn’t terrible food, but I wouldn’t bother getting it again. not worth the inconsistency and lack of staff to get something mediocre.

Well did not know what I was really getting into. I saw and water to try it. It took me 1h 1/2 to get my food. People were waiting in line carry out was at it all high. One guy told me that this food must be really good. Because he had been there already 7 times that day
And was doing his last at 7pm tonight. He didn't need to work any longer because of this restaurant. So when I got home I tried it. Mine you I don't wait and hour for no one's food. But I have to say it was worth it. ✨️❤️

Great restaurant food was fantastic alot of flavor and very friendly staff definitely will be coming back here alot!

The best food at the worst restaurant.

The food is really awesome. We gave the place three tries because we liked it so much, but man the service is on another level awful.
The final nail was when we tried to order takeout to avoid bad service. We ended up walking away with no food after an hour wait at home and then an hour wait in the restaurant… 2 hours total and still no prospect of food. We tried to talk to wait staff and it just fell on deaf ears. I am sad I have to say goodbye to their food.

We used grub hub to have 3 entrees and 2 appetizers delivered tonight at a cost of $70. Unfortunately, one of our entrees did not make it in the bag, and the restaurant does not have a working published phone number. We live about 10 miles from the restaurant, but my wife wanted our meal so she drove all the way (kind of beats the purpose of door dash) to pick up the missing meal. She was told that the door dash driver must have taken the food.....we do not think that is the case. The restaurant staff was very rude and never owned up to the mistake, but did finally correct the issue and make the meal.

The green curry was tasty as was the Thai tea. The calamari was more rubbery than I've experienced.

First time eating there. The Crispy Duck Tacos are too die for! The Pad Thai is also very good.

Nice Thai restaurant in a secluded location. They serve wonderful food with lots of novel selections. We went for dinner, but they obviously get a lot of carry out business, and that affected our service. We were seated, but no one came to offer menus or take drink orders. We learned they expected you to order on your phone, but no one said that. We asked for a regular menu & were told they’re not up to date. When we finally got steamed dumplings as an appetizer (which were delicious), the waiter walked away & never brought any silverware. We had to go get it. Definitely go for the food & hope the service improves. Ample parking.

I have never had Thai food before but this restaurant was amazing! The servers were friendly and willing to help make suggestions based on common Chinese dishes I like as well as explain all the different dishes and spices so I could make a good food choice. Not only was the environment nice and relaxed, and the staff was amazing, but the food was absolutely delicious! I have been back twice now and each time I get spicier dishes! I love that their spice is a nice flavor and not just hot to be hot. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant as a nice flavorful twist if you're tired of regular Chinese food!

Meal was great, fast service. Definitely worth the price. Absolutely recommend!

Great food

Place is awesome. Great tasting dishes. They bring a rack of extra spices if requested and the seams hot oil is amazing.

Worst Thai food I've had in Richmond. Everything is bland and flavorless. No flavor at all. Ingredients are meh. Shrimp were tiny. Noodles were soggy. Chicken in the soup tasted bland. Pretty dismal experience all around. Would not order from here again.

Really bad waiting for orders

So, I was hungry and they were open after 2pm. I got the drunken noodles, bankok chicken, spring rolls, and mango sticky rice. The restaurant was very nice inside and decorated very nicely for Halloween! Food was hate to say medicore. Mango sticky rice dry but in wonderful heart shape... So that was nice. Taste wise eh. Portions rather small in comparison to other local Thai joint. Food also better at the location closer to my home in Midlothian. Drunken noodle least fav entree and even though bankok chicken was cold sauce made up for it.. Spring rolls best out of everything with notable cilantro. It was right when they were closing at three (3pm). Met owner and she was very nice. Food just so-so.

I'd like to go back to have another experience. If I do I will update this review. This is a hidden spot off of Lucks Lane and courthouse. It is very nice inside. You can see their menu online. There menu had no pictures so if you don't know Thai food it is overwhelming. They had pictures on the wall but no names attached to them. I ended up trying something I never had before drunken noodles and then I wished I went with the old tried and true Larb Gani or fried rice. They have levels of hot. I say go for the lowest because man was that food spicy and I love spice.

What bad customer service! I ordered food and was there for 90 minutes for a pickup and it was still not ready. I had to cancel my order and still hungry! Never ordering from them again!

Eye watering, lip tingling, nose running, awesome drunken noodles! I love how they accommodate my requests to swap vegetables in this dish without an issues. #4 Hot is the right level of spiciness for me. I love the sweet noodles and the spicy sauce with savory veggies! I order via Grubhub for lunch on rare occasions and drunken noodles from iThaiz is always worth the Grubhub fees.

I wanted to start small at this restaurant. I have not eaten here yet. I ordered the pizza spring roll for take out. The menu says it’s “6 PIECES. CRISPY ROLLS STUFFED WITH PEPPERONI, CHEESE AND PIZZA SAUCE.” It was three spring roll wraps cut in half with actual pizza rolls in it. Imagine totinos pizza rolls. Those were inside the spring role. I just laughed. I literally lmao’d. This cost about $7. I can get a bag of 100 pizza rolls for the same amount 😂. It came in a bed of lettuce and a sesame oil and Mayo sauce. The lettuce was fresh and I liked the sauce.

iThaiz is the best Thai restaurant in the greater Richmond area. Always fresh, tasty and good portion sizes. I have them set as a go to for Uber Eats.

Waited over a hour after projected time to be ready for pickup. So to compensate, the bartender was handing out shots to delivery drivers and also drinking himself. After receiving my order I asked for hot sauce. Then he gets emotional and belligerent about a simple request. Even though I live down the street I’d much rather go to Esann Thai on hull street.

Great Thai food

Authentic! The menu selection is ample and prices reasonable. Loved the taste bud delight of good Thai food and iThaiz has that. The only drag was a lack of help but I guess many restaurants have this problem. There are stores next door to do some last minute shopping while you wait.

This is my second time trying Thai food and the food wasn’t good at all accept the shrimp and crab rice. Them I also had the crab cakes but I didn’t even taste no crab...

And something off the noodles menu .
The texture of the food was not satisfying neither advertising . But I will say the manger was very pleasant.

Ordered delivery through Grubhub. Tom Yum soup was right on point. My boyfriend and I shared basil fried rice and drunken noodles each with tofu. Both were delicious. Also, had the vegetable spring rolls, which were served with the BEST sweet and sour sauce. Everything was delicious and tasty-we will definitely be back!!!

I’ve gotten here from multiple times over the years, i always order the pad Thai MILD, but every time i order it each time they make it spicier than the last. Tonight it was completely inedible, and i’m not against spicy food either but this was at least level 3. The no spice option is worse because they basically put no sauce on it that way. How does a restaurant have 5 different levels of spice for an entree and the mildest one completely ruins the dish.

There webpage says free delivery w/in 3 miles, I call and the gal who answered the phone says they don't do that but they have door dash and those things. FORGET IT! If you don't do it, don't advertise that you do!!!! Never had the food but if this is the service I can expect, forget it!!

Terrible
