We have proudly been serving authentic Thai food in Richmond since 2011. Our restaurant is family-owned and operated and is the ideal place to enjoy the distinctive flavors of authentic Thai food in a comfortable environment for a fantastic price. We hope you enjoy your meal as much as we will enjoy serving you.
Thai Flavor in Glen Allen never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that they can be a bit heavy-handed with the spice—ordering medium sometimes results in a very spicy dish, so adjust accordingly if you’re sensitive to heat.
Our favorites include the Pad Woon Sen, which is absolutely fantastic, and the Thai Green Curry and Red Curry, both of which are flavorful and well-prepared. Overall, a great spot for authentic Thai food. Highly recommended!
Thai Flavor is great place in the Innsbrook area for some quality flavor (some of the best tofu you can find!) The Crab Rangoon was a bit overpriced, and I actually really only tasted the cream cheese. Curious if the Calamari might be better. Will have to try.
The Pad See Ew was perfect. I got the Spice Level 5 and could handle it with only a little coughing haha. Thanks guys!
Rated as the best Thai food in Richmond within my inner circle, this gem of a restaurant, which is somewhat tucked away amongst the Innsbrook shoppes, has become a staple in our restaurant rotation. My fiancee and I used to come here every week last year when we were training for endurance races and ordered 2 entrees a piece! Thai Flavor was consistent; every dish tasted so amazing each time, and contrary to what you may imagine about the "heaviness" of Thai food coming to haunt you the next day, gave us the pep and energy we needed to train. The staff here are super friendly and attentive, and really just an dining experience that never misses expectations. Some of our favorites are Pad Thai, drunken noodle, and panang curry.
This place is bursting with flavor. Do you want expect it from my little strip mall restaurants, but that is the reality. Our favorite dish was this fried chicken dish that was so tasty and a little spicy. We also got a pineapple fried rice that concentrated more flavor than presentation. The only real disappointment was the Penang was just OK.
The lady who takes the orders is very pleasent. However, the quality of the food has been inconsistent. My first visit was pretty good. After that, the quality of the food has been unimpressive, to include my last visit which was absolutely unacceptable; the tofu looked like it was the last of the tofu, it was over cooked and the dish was dry; the cook was stingy with the sauce... probably the last of that, too.
What was even worse, the man with the hat insulted my intelligence by trying to tell me that is the way fried tofu is supposed to look as if I have never ordered it before that time. This business lost my patronage as a result of how that situation was handled.
I would not recommend if you like quality food consistently, especially not near closing. If you found this review helpful, please like it.
WOW! This was a great surprise finding Thai
so close to home. My order for Papaya Hot Salad and Thai Hot Pad Thai with chicken was outstanding. We will be back and again.
Pad Kapow is the best in Richmond. Only downside is that it’s loud in when busy. Zero sound dampening.

I was able to sit with my dog in their cute outdoor seating and wait for Chicken Pad Thai. It was honestly the best Padthai I've had in my whole life. They were so nice and accommodating, highly recommend!
This place deserves more than just a review. The food and service are amazing, and I'll definitely return whenever I'm in the area craving Thai food.
Edit: I still go. Food is good. Haven’t seen any creepy crawlers
I usually get to go from this place. My typical dish is the duck fried rice. I’ve only eaten once INSIDE the restaurant and noticed no issues.
I went in today with 2 family members and we had great service…. BUTTTT…
After the waitress took our orders, and then brought us water… I noticed a young roach crawling on the floor. I killed it and we brushed it off as nothing. But after our appetizer was brought it, I noticed another roach crawling behind my father’s head and he flicked it away.
I then walked up to the waitress and notified her of the incidents. They let us go without paying for anything which is really nice. But it’s just unfortunate we had that experience because I order to go all the time. Hopefully they got the exterminator in and got rid of the issue.
We ended up going to Capital Ale House right next to it.
Wonderful food and great service!!

Best Thai food in short pump. We've tried them all
This isn’t the first time I have been here. Reached there at 8:30. Instead of first welcoming us, the first thing the lady tells us is that we are closing at 9. Anyways we place an order and when she brings it…we haven’t even begun eating when she appears with a check…please pay right now…3 times. We haven’t even finished eating but they shut the place down. No repent of how they are treating customers. Take away box given without even carry bags.
Sick! Will never return or recommend this place to anyone.
Great food!
This is my favorite Thai place in the Richmond area! The food is amazing! I always get the drunken noodles while my husband has tried a variety of dishes - all of them delicious. Their chili oil is very good, too. We always have the same friendly server & service!
I had the stir fry noodles and no other place makes this dish like they do. It's fresh, flavorful, great service, clean and the food amazing!
Food is really of the best quality, authentic Thai restaurant. Portions are small compared to price, so this place is more towards quality over quantity. One of the best Thai food I have in a long time. Among cocktails, try screwdriver. Among starters, try crab rangoon and shrimp roll. Chicken satay was ok, not the best. Nice gentle crowd. They also have outside seating facility, that's wonderful.
Delightful!!!!! Must visit.
Food is good but I have had better. I enjoyed atmosphere more. It was very relaxing and peaceful after a day's work. Food is not too pricey.
This is so unfortunate that we choose 23rd Jan for our anniversary this restaurant for dinner. Google showed me 9:30 pm is the closing time .even we reached by 8:45 pm they allowed us (me , my wife and my little daughter) to enter. But after entering they started rushing to go home and started cleaning. Even they gave us max 2 mins time to order. Also most of the Dishes saying not available this because of closing time. We just ordered before food they came with bill. We thought not to sit better to go home and take food. So we left taking only soup and asked them to package out food. Food is also not that good.never will go this restaurant. They need to know how to serve customers with etiquette.Never recommend this restaurant. But still I gave my tips.
The food was really good! The ambience is really cute and nice. Love the decor. My rating is mostly based off the fact they have roaches. I absolutely hate bugs so this was a complete turn off to me. I was completely thrown off because like I said the food was really good & the atmosphere I would’ve went back had it not been for the roaches crawling on the wall while I was eating.
The waitress was incredibly kind and adjusted our order to our liking. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend this.
This is the best, most authentic Thai restaurant I have been to. It has a mix of Siam and Lanna dishes. The Lanna cuisine is especially delicious and harder to find in America. I can not recommend this restaurant any higher. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The specialy drinks are certainly worth trying.
If you leave without trying mangoes and sticky rice, you're missing out!
Love the food. I have been a devoted patron since they opened.
I’ve been here before with a party where I told them I had a meeting and expressed the timetable (I would have skipped if I had known). The party of 6-7 all got their food BEFORE me and I had the least prep order.
Another day the waitress who is generally nice just seemed to have a bad mood. I usually tip good here. The party seating enforces tip. So I don’t know what the problem is but just had to share my experience to make others aware. Food is good for the price.
Unsanitary conditions. Small Cockroach was found in a guests plate and then we found many more on the floors counter and wall. After discussion with the owner, they noted that they don't think this is wrong and wouldn't discount the bill. Never coming here again. Once others in the dining room learned of this, they all left.
Customer service is not a priority here and neither is good clean environment.
We loved everything. The food was insane. The prices were reasonable. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Great experience. We’ll be back when we’re in town again.
Always love the food here. Great service and taste as well
Delicious, all of it!. We had appetizers, curry and fried rice. Everything was absolutely delicious.
Totally recommended.
Simply the best Thai food in the RVA area. Authentic and to the point. Now.... Be warned that the single spicy option does have some kick.

Great food!! Highly recommended!
Dinner take out tonight from Thai Flavor, my first time to try this restaurant. Ordered and paid online, arrived early and my food was just being packaged so no wait. Friendly and fast service. My entrees were basil mixed vegetables with tofu, green curry with tofu and vegetables, som tom (papaya salad), and spring rolls as an appetizer. Entrees were very flavorful and more traditional Thai style, which I prefer. Heat level was a notch above medium and good for me. Perhaps I will try one more notch up for my next visit. Overall a very pleasant experience, flavors were great. I will return again.
Best Thai food in Richmond! I absolutely love this place. The curry is wonderful, all styles whether green, red, or yellow. The Pad Thai is outstanding no matter which meat or tofu. Just the right amount of sweetness. However, my favorite is the Drunken Noodles. I ask them to make it hot, Thai hot and they do not disappoint! There are a few Thai restaurants in the area near me, but I drive 30 minutes to come to this one. It’s worth it.
Best Thai food I've had in this area. Real close to being in thailand
Good food. Quick pleasant service.
This place is bursting with flavor. Do you want expect it from my little strip mall restaurants, but that is the reality. Never disappointed - the best Thai food this side of the town!
Holy crud nuggets this was amazing and I did max spicy im def coming back
Tasty! Their spicy jungle curry was good, definitely spicy though not so enough to make me sweat
Great ambience. I love the food here and this place being near my work makes it a must go to place.
Changing my review bc the the food and servers are back on track all of the menus taste authentic and delicious every time food is served fast and servers are friendly and quick
One of favorite places to go. Service is always good n foods are fantastic. It's not fun place but never disappointed.
Drunken noodles and fried spring rolls were delicious. Thai tea was small and not that good. Food was seasoned well and they bring out the spice.
Solid food, with a relaxed interior. The portions are good. I was able to take food to go for lunch as well. I loved drinking water from metal cups!!! I don't see that much, but definitely appreciated it here. Their curry, drunken noodles, and phad thai were tasty. The Thai ice tea is served to go in a bag...definitely no spills, but is it compostable? I don't really think so.
THIS PLACE IS SO CUTE!! the lady who served us was so kind and sweet:) the food was super delicious and had good proportions as well. overall a 10/10 experience! love it!
Worst Food and Wasted my money and time. I ordered Thai Basil Fried rice with Chicken and spicy level is 4. The rice is overcooked like paste and they made spice level as 2. It’s tastes disgusting like eating rice mushy pudding. Literally wasted my weekend spending my money for lunch here.
I ordered takeout from here while staying in a hotel in the same parking lot. I walked there right after placing the order and it was already ready, under 10 mins later! It was hot and delicious and perfect. I can't wait to order from here again!
Terrible service / waited for more than 30min and they couldn’t even serve the appetisers - pathetic…..This place takes its customers for granted.
Very good
I have eaten several lunches here in 2022. They are usually steadily busy but service is always friendly and attentive. I have eaten mostly vegetarian options and all have been fresh and tasty. I have limited to 'american hot' and would say the heat has been pleasant to mild. I love their eggplant based dishes so much I have not been adventurous on the menu.
Very clean friendly service!!! Cozy atmosphere. Food was delivered super fast & fresh!! The only complaint which is minor was uncomfortable chairs. Overall great dining experience. Definitely go again!!
18$ tip in the bill??seriously? For dining ..horrible…service lady is sweet though
I’d like to start by saying when I was in town for work and stayed in Innsbrook area this was my go to, when they were beside The Beach House. Within the past few years, they have moved to the other side of Innsbrook. Portions are smaller and prices are higher. When I’d get the seafood Pad Thai in the past I would get seafood including 4+ muscles and a ton of shrimp etc. Now it’s only 2 muscles and a few shrimp. When I used to order Tom Kha Gai it was a huge to go portion for $8 (tall to go soup). Now their coconut style soup (no longer Tom Kha Gai) and is maybe 12oz for $8 (short to go soup). I was disappointed with what I got for $26 to go. The Pad Thai Seafood did taste very good but I was most disappointed in the the replacement Coconut style soup.
Simply the best!!
Great food, amazing service. Their Thai tea is to die for and the place is modern but keeps the Asian feel at the same time. The only thing I will say it’s their menu it’s confusing and have no pictures so if you are new to the scene that can be a deterrent to new customers.
This a great authentic Thai place, spicy food if you want. Can get really busy at lunch and they are closed Mondays. I often substitute cabbage in place of rice.
Update - they have moved to the other side of the shopping center. Same great staff and food but more seating. I've tried a lot of different Thai restaurants, but this place is my go-to when I'm in Richmond...try it
Pretty good option, particularly for lunch. The first time I came here I was not impressed. The food was bland and there was no spice at all despite asking for the hottest option.
The second time I went my experience was much better. It seems that as long s you stick to the more basic dishes, and avoid the specialties, you'll likely be satisfied with what you get. The dish still wasn't as spicy as I'd have expected however.
great food great service
Best Pad Thai in Richmond! And I am a connoisseur of pad Thai…LOL. Ask for the waitress Sni!
The food here is soooo freaking good. The chefs are magical and I love the service here too. Great portions, and decent prices. If you like spicy food, don't be afraid to get Thai spicy here, it's probably about a normal hot in my experience.
Good food consistently
My fiance & I have been coming here for over a year and loved the food. Last Sunday we both ordered pad thai and I became extremely stomach sick. My fiance has had stomach issues all week & it is now really effecting her 5 days later. I am sorry because now we will never be able to eat here again.
Very convenient
Very plentiful portions
Only tried take out
Really good food
Excellent food & service!
Phenomenal Thai restaurant that was so convenient to my hotel (one of three hotels nearby) that it was easy to decide to eat here. I originally wanted to eat at the Italian restaurant next door but they were full which allowed me this stellar opportunity to eat at Thai flavor. The Flavor noodles and the Green curry were the most delicious food I had since my vacation to Thailand. The spice did not disappoint nor did it over power the dish! The staff was very friendly and service was quick. I highly recommend this place over other options in the area! Enjoy!
Oh my Thai! What flavor! I got the Pad Kee Mao with pork and husband got the Beef Thai Gravy Noodle. Best curry puffs but the dipping sauce was a bit sweet for me. Tom Kha Gai was very tasty, as well. I’m excited to go back a try something different. Spice level was perfect. I always go for the spiciest options and their level 3 was pleasantly hot. The beef gravy was very tasty.
Great tasting Thai cuisine.
So delicious! Best Pad See Ew I’ve had!
Best fried rice in town! Can't bring myself to order anything else. Love it spicy!
Went for lunch today with my husband. Great food, service, and prices. Will definitely be going back!
Good place for Thai food in the area. Prices are reasonable. Small little cozy place with limited seating. Chicken flavour noodles and basil thai chicken fried rice are must try dishes on the menu. Shirley Temple is a non alcoholic favourite drink at this restaurant. Go for spice level max which is not too hot compared to other Asian places and in fact their dishes taste great with max spice levels. Only point of improvement is they could use more staff members to serve fast and better. Friendly staff. Take away is faster than dine in if you call and order in advance.
Of all the Thai places in RVA this one has most flavourful food. We generally order basil fried rice with diff option and we can really taste every spice and every sauce flavor. The portions are decent size as well so doesn't pinch ur pocket when ordering for family.
Good food good value.
I ordered take out lunch entree shrimp dish and there was not enough shrimps n vegetables For almost 14 bucks fir lunch entree not worth it The spring roll was soggy too
Good food
Poor customer service. In the take home days when the food is not as requested customer needs refund or adjustment. Their offer was we will fix it next time. Not a good attitude.
Good food, spicy curry, prompt take-out service, good COVID-19 control (Mar 21) ½ table occupancy. One great option of many in this plaza.
Last time when my husband and I had dinner at the Thai Flavor, we didn’t have a good experience due to the mixup with our food. Noticed that they have moved to a new location and decided to give them another try. Unfortunately I was informed that I couldn’t order from lunch special for take out order. Not to mention the lunch specials are over priced. I would rather drive to Mechanicsville and get real Thai Food from Pad Thai or drive to downtown and eat at Thai Top Ten. Went next door had an awesome sandwich from Boychik, highly recommend. Don’t waste your time and money at Thai Flavor.
Really good food and a small nice atmosphere. My only complaint is they don't have menus. You have to use your phone to scan a QR code to find the food. Honestly, just print out an oversized sheet with all the food. Server was nice and the bathroom was clean. I would visit again.
What an amazing place, never disappoints!!! Awesome food, clean and friendly staff. We finished every last bit of rice, and veggies on our plates!!! Yummie!
Excellent Thai food and one of my favorites in the area.
* Solid covid sanitation practices
* Fast cooking times
* Affordable prices
* Authentic and tasty flavors that are hard to replicate at home.
I personally recommend the Drunken Noodle (pad kee mao)
Feedback for the cook(s) ya'll could benefit from some consensus on spice level, sometimes the 3 pepper is comfortably hot and sometimes it's melt your face off hot
Ordered single size over phone and refused to correct order upon pickup.
My new favorite Thai spot!! The yellow curry noodle, spring rolls and chicken Pad Thai were absolutely amazing!!! Our waitress was sooo sweet. Love her.
They had really tasty and good variety of vegetarian food (Y)
Outstanding. My family has been getting take-out or dining-in since they opened. Definitely try their pad see ew with beef.
So far never disappointed with the food or the service here .. their pad see Eaw noodles is my favorite.. basil fried rice is another dish to lookout for .. overall awesome place to visit ... highly recommended..!!
This place used to be somewhat decent few years back when it still was in its old location. The food wasn’t great but was decent enough to be tried every now and then. However todays venture trying out an old familiar thai place turned out to be an absolute nightmare for us.Our food ended up being one of the worst chicken pad basil(fried rice) and drunken noodles we’ve ever had. The food literally felt like it was microwaved or stir fried in a matter of couple of minutes. Their chicken portions were of the smallest quantity and the texture was pretty close to being boiled. These dishes are the most common and popular thai food choice for most of us here in States and their below par quality is quite a disappointing statement to their chef.
We also ordered fried calamari which was literally thick fried dough with broken bits of squid in between. Every time we took a bite we had dough left in our mouth with all the fish slipping on to the plate.
If you’re ever craving thai food around shortpump area choose any other thai other than this and you ll avoid yourself a major disappointment.
Great food & service at reasonable prices!
Great food and pleasant service
Pad Thai not what I was expecting. Not horrible but I took it back to my hotel and found no fork or soy sauce in bag 😔
Excellent! As always!
OH MY GAWD! The food was amazing! I ordered the yellow curry noodle with chicken. It did not disappoint. The initial bite was heaven for my mouth. The food had sooo much flavor. It was perfect. I was not expecting this quality of food. Husband got the super Spicey basil fried rice with beef and chicken. If you like super hot food, let them know as it unlocks a special menu. Absolutely amazing food. Service was also just as great!!
This is our favorite Thai restaurant for years, they never go wrong on quality and flavor.
Delicious
Very friendly people and good food.
Food is good, but service sucks big time. Be prepared to sit for 30 min for just water and another 30 min before you get any food. Dont go here if you only have an hour for lunch. They need to employ at least 2 more servers and more cooks.
This is my go to Thai place in Short Pump. The food has always been excellent in my experience and servings more generous than other Thai places in the area. Flavor has been good. Food was always cooked well. Not sure about the negative reviews here but my experience has been nothing but stellar.
Had Red Curry, Pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles. Perfect spicy food to have 👌👌
Panang Curry is very tasty at this place. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't to busy. The food came in a timely manner and the made sure our glasses were always filled. The food is very good at this restaurant and highly recommend this place.
Always great food and service!
First time was ok. Flavors like many other Thai restaurants. Second time, to salty. They took it back to fix it, and little less salty. I had pad see ew. Would come to try again.
Good food
Best thai food ever !!! Love it!
If you like thai food
Delicious
Had dinner at this place red curry is my favorite.
Best Thai I've had in a while. Their hot scale of 1-3 was the perfect medium spicy at a #2. Lovely interior and fast, friendly service. I enjoyed the pork Pad Thai and spring rolls.
For the price it's not very good Thai. New location is better but it's still a pretty "meh" affair.
The fried rice lacks moist which makes it dry, minimum Thai flavor, used to be good.
Very consistent, friendly staff. If you're looking for authentic spicy Thai, know that this place is on the mild side.
This is the best Thai food in Richmond including their flavorful wanton soup. My wife and I drive across town every weekend to have lunch.
Solid experience today. Service was prompt and courteous. The Paid Thai was delicious with just the right amount of heat. Will be returning soon.
