Visiting a friend in nearby Fairfax we stopped for lunch at the mall where this restaurant is located. In the process of renovation so it was not easy finding our way in through construction. Once inside, clean and we ordered a Penang Curry and Thai noodle soup. Quick service and the food was decent not excellent.
I love thai cuisine. I gave this place a try and i like their Thai noodle soup. It was so delicious. The service however was not exceptional. I will come back just for the food taste. The broth of Thai noodle soup was really good, and i added some extra spicy peppers on it. I visited this place twice so far. My second order was Bangkok spicy noodle and it was not that good. Tom Yum soup was really good though.
Good Thai food. Docking two stars because the service was not the greatest.. we accidentally ordered to-go and wanted to eat inside, but were asked to leave when sitting down… never experienced that before. It was really warm outside and not even busy inside! Ordered Pad Thai, Beef Drunken Noodles, and Beef Fried Rice. Would order takeout again but probably not dine in.
It's a cute small little place with a very homely vibe and seemed family run. We had the drunken noodles and ordered the hot hot spice level and weren't disappointed. It was actually Thai spicy and also delicious. Wasn't a big fan of the chicken satay, it was a little bland. The lady at the counter was very sweet and they got the food prepared on time. Would definitely go again.
I enjoyed my dinner at Bangkok St. Thai Restaurant. This was my first time dining here, and I came in for dinner on a weeknight around 7PM. There were a couple of tables still available, but there was only one person staffed to wait on all the seated customers and attend the cash register for carryout orders. There wasn't a hostess stand, and also no sign letting customers know to seat themselves. We finally went to the cashier, who told us we could sit anywhere. I saw quite a few groups come in and awkwardly stand by the door wondering what to do, so I think a sign would have been helpful.
I ordered the Thai Beef Jerky, Pad Thai with Chicken and a Thai Iced Tea. Everything was good. It's definitely not the best Thai Food in the area, but I would definitely order the beef jerky and Thai Iced Tea again. Also, the portions are pretty huge. My order of Pad Thai was enormous! I think it's almost triple what I normally get at other restaurants.
Do not eat here; go to Happy Thai instead which is less than a mile from here and much better.
The only reason to go here is if Happy Thai is closed. We ordered on the phone from Bangkok St. Thai, they repeated the order, and then tried to lie/gaslight us into saying they just misheard the order when we came to pick it up and they got it wrong. Then they took 15 minutes to make the new order and didn't offer any compensation or small courtesy while waiting. (Of note, we were lucky we checked the order before taking it home.)
The food was also aggressively mediocre and not worth the price, wait, or bad service.
Happy Thai is amazing with amazing service and much better food! Happy Thai's drunken noodles, pad see ew, and dishes are much better than here!

Stopped by and DEMOLISHED one order of the Bangkok St Dumplings, Tom Khar Soup, and Chicken Drunken Noodles. And this meal satisfied the craving I’ve had since my childhood thai restaurant closed down. Totally recommend :)

I am obsessed with the Pad Thai here! I’ve been ordering it for pickup/delivery pretty often for the last couple years. My husband loves the bangkok st fried rice and the basil fried rice. Highly recommend :)
I ordered the drunken noodles, Thai basil fried rice, and Pad Thai, and they were absolutely delicious! I've ordered from here many times during lunch, and it never disappoints. Definitely a must-try spot!
This place is a favorite of my wife and me. The food is always fresh, delicious, and spiced to order 😋 and the staff is friendly. My wife loves the drunken noodle and I'm a fan of the crispy basil shrimp.
Absolutely loved the takeout from this Thai restaurant! The flavors were vibrant, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The Ka Pow was delicious with a perfect mix of sweetness and tang, and the pre prik king had a wonderful kick that wasn’t overpowering. Portions were generous, and everything was still hot and fresh by the time we got home. Plus, the packaging was neat and eco-friendly. Highly recommend for an excellent Thai food.
As a white guy with an insanely high spice tolerance, I am usually served mild food when I ask for extra hot or Thai spicy. Bangkok St. actually listened and made my Pad Krapow extra extra spicy for me and it was very tasty!
Such great food. We just moved to the area and this has already become our go-to when we can’t decide what to eat. Owner (I think she’s the owner, at least) is so sweet and remembers us.
Bangkok St. is a lovely establishment with great food and kind staff. I rarely review here but I love them and want you, famished, seeking complex flavors in a warm environment, to enjoy it, too.
They are fantastic here! My partner and I are regulars and they know our orders when we walk in the door. Service is wonderful, their food is delicious- they have my favorite pad thai. I highly recommend!!
Ordered the sticky rice and mango. Best I ever had! Mango was perfectly ripe and soft as well as sweet. Sticky rice soaked in coconut milk. SO wonderful!!
Food came quick, the server was polite, and it was all very delicious.
Amazing food
Since this place is close by, I wanted to try it out. I ordered to eat in and felt like I was rushed to leave the place by the waiter. I hoped to eat slowly and take my time but felt like I couldn’t. The food was okay.
I go here all the time, large portions friendly staff and good food!! Favorite Thai place 10/10
Consistent and good staff. Would recommend a try, never been disappointed.

Great food. Consistently excellent service
A hidden gem!!! I am a regular customer. The elderly lady is nice and friendly. Really nice service and great food.
I’ve been going here for a decade. I always call and order and it’s always ready before I get there. The food is excellent and consistent. I love their Kraprow chicken, green curry and everything else! For every micro center visit this should always be a stop!
The food is delicious and the service is above and beyond!
The food is so good. Specially the Kapow Chicken with rice. They never disappoint. Good food.

the waitress, who seems like the only person, was super kind even though they seem short staffed; food was great
Unassuming but the food is delicious and the portions are generous. I had the driven noodles with beef. The beef was super chewy though.

Having worked in East Asia and learning a Kanji based language to business/tech level, I am familiar with....Asian cooking. This was my first time to Bangkok St Thai. I ordered take out today. It's a particular Thai dish that I really like and one that many others get wrong. I was hungry. I tasted it and some of the broth in the car. I went back in and told them "I'll be back". They are 40+ miles from me one way. Super well done. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing you soon, probably in less than 2 weeks since I have an appointment in that neighborhood for something else. When you shop at MicroCenter or JoAnn's nearby, stop afterward to eat here. Excellent combo.
Our new favorite Thai carry out restaurant. If you’ve tried Happy Thai, this is the same level of quality but with bigger portions. Highly recommend!
Very good thai food!
In an emergency situation, the drunken noodle lunch special can feed a family of four for three months. Very wonderful and friendly service. The panang curry has consistently seemed safe for my gluten-intolerant wife.
Bangkok Street is our favorite place to have the closest taste of Thai food back in Thailand. Great food, quick service and clean environment. Definitely recommend for those who seek for real Thai street food.
We ordered Tofu Pad Thai and the Bangkok St. Fried Rice and both were delicious! It was flavorful and spicy like we asked! Our waiter was also amazing and incredibly kind.
I’ve been going to Bangkok Street for years. This is the best Thai food I’ve had in the DC metro area. The restaurant is small but it has an intimate family owned feel. Service is prompt and friendly, food is incredible, and I have no reservations recommending this restaurant.
Good Thai food.
Great portions for the price. Love their fried rice and pad thai. The papaya salad could be better.
My favorite Thai restaurant in NOVA! I’ve been going here for years, and it’s my go to Thai restaurant. The food is excellent, and the service is prompt, attentive and welcoming. Having been to Thailand the food feels like I’m back!
Delicious food, very fast service, and great atmosphere. Clean and seems recently renovated!
Superb Drunken Noodles with beef, just the right level of spice, freshness, and always fast service. Definitely worth a visit. A hidden gem for sure.
Great service and very delicious food! I ordered Panang Curry and spring rolls. The saltwater fish were very pretty, too!:)
Delicious food. Good service. A neighborhood staple. I really like the Cashew Chicken.
Very nice place to have a quiet dinner. I love the calm spirit of the gentleman who took our order yesterday even though we were there at their closing time, he was so gracious enough to take us in and give us all that we ordered. I don’t know his name but gentlemen like him are needed more in this world. 🤩
GF and I have eaten here enough to say we love it. Very comforting atmosphere, they give you a lot of meat and food (bang for buck), and the food is D E L I C I O U S.
Food here is great. Can’t speak to the dine in experience but take out is always super easy and efficient. I love the fact that they wait to flash fry anything that needs it until you arrive to pickup your order so it stays crispy. If you’re on the fence with what to order you can’t go wrong with the crispy duck. Crispy calamari has also been on point every time we have ordered it.
Great Thai food in a hole in the wall place.
Extremely unhappy with my first experience with Bangkok Street Thai. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and asked for lime slices and pepper flakes. First off, they did not include the lime and pepper flakes; the shrimp were over cooked, and the noodles were so dry that I had to take a drink after each bite. I called the restaurant and left a vm but no one returned my call. Never again.
I moved to Rockville and passed by 395. I want Thai noodle and thought of Microcenter has a Thai restaurant next door. I made the trip just for Lad Na (gravy over noodle). Yum!! This is only Thai offers this best Chinese Teochew dish. You must try it once.
Food was delicious, can't wait for the Dumfries location to open.
It is with a heavy heart I'm writing this review because the server was very kind and caring and the food actually was pretty good. However, 2 of our people ordered chicken Pad Thai and both got sick hours after. I'm a big fan of it but this time decided to order drunken noodle and the fourth person a rice dish. Both of us were fine, although I did feel a brief period of burn in my chest an hour after, possibly due to the level of spiciness. This was very concerning so I think we'll think twice before coming back
6/10 in my opinion! Flavors were good, but, why the panang curry come with NO vegetables?? Never have I ever had panang curry without vegetables...it was just meat and soup 😅 Tom yum soup as well lacked vegetables (except for mushrooms and cilantro)...should def be a lot more in the soup...pad see-ew was good (but it comes with broccoli instead of chinese broccoli 😔) Overall, it's best to keep this place as a "take-out" only option 😅
Love the pad woon sen, the main reason I come here ❤️
Exactly what you expect from a Thai place! Tasty Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, and coconut soup for a reasonable price - big portions is a nice plus!
Portions and dining room were underwhelming, but food quality and service are superb. With a slightly wider menu, this would be my go-to spot for $11 Thai; it's an incredible value.
Come here oftently so flavorful than others
Great flavors, nice atmosphere and waiter. A bit spicy (which I like) but heads up
10+ for special pad thai woon sen shrimp, and crispy basil shrimp. Loving service.
They have a take on Pad Thai that I haven't found anywhere else. My favorite Thai place in the region.
Also affordable and classy but not pretentious.
Basil fried rice is really good! Would pass on getting the calamari again tho
First time ordering from here. Got the prik khing pork and pad se ew. Both were excellent especially the prik khing! Also slightly cheaper than other Thai in the area. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.
I order Bkk fried rice
Crispy basil shrimp spicy
Amazinggggggg..
I can't wait to come back next time
Best restaurant in fairfax highly recommend.. Tuk is a superstar women good service very professional and she has too much patience.. Best prices quality & quantity of food very filling & awesome i love pad thai shrimp & chicken.. thailand the Great .. 5star
I would totally recommend this place!
I ordered Bangkok st spicy noodle and they were delicious. The quantity is great and spiciness is on point. (The picture shows the leftovers)
I also ordered calamari but they were just basic, I wish the batter would have had less egg so it would have been a little less smelly.
Ordered bangkok Thai fried rice hardly any chicken or peppers were there and the pad see ew both were super sweet. I would better spend my money in Happy Thai restaurant which serves much better Thai food. Felt like having sweet rice and noodles. Worst food ever! Try to serve better food for the price they pay.
Absolutely delicious food, fantastic service, relaxing environment.
I have been going here since I have moved to Vienna because I love how they make their food. Some the renovation they were closed for a very long time but they finally opened back up! Yes! I mean you got to try their pad thai, calamari, and spicy eggplant tofu. They don't try to cheat their portions and generous with ingredients. So, if you are craving some take outs or eat ins for Thai, then try them out. Easy parking too!
Love the fresh and flavorful food here. Their Panang curry is great and they make their own steamed dumplings that are delicate and tasty. Cute space after recent remodel!
THEY ARE OPEN AGAIN!!!! Food is as good as I remembered it and they have done some renovations to the place!
I miss you guys! I've been practically devastated since this place hasn't been open. I would eat here multiple times a week and it was hot, fresh, and delicious every time. Nothing could replace Bangkok St.
Too oily, different dish same taste.
Delicious and authentic! Lunch specials are wonderful!
We’ve been eating here for many years and we love their pad see ew and crispy basil shrimp! Will keep eating here to support the local business!!
Great people good food
Very good.
Looking for a place for a lunch takeout. Was at MicroCenter and saw this, along with a kabob, Chinese, Vietnamese and other restaurants. Choose this and my wife was extremely happy with my pick. Each container had enough for five total meals. Well worth it!
Love this place. Lots of vegetarian options
Order a chicken pad thai, came with chicken and pork. Seriously!?
Not only that, the food is very poor quality and hopefully it doesn't make me sick, sure feels like it will though. You can tell the noodles are super greasy and they just added a ton of syrup.
TRUST ME, DO NOT EAT HERE. I had to resort to them for Xmas cause nothing else was open, I'm so upset I did.
STAY AWAY.
very good wow
First and last time for this place. I love Thai food but the food here is terrible quality. Spring rolls were defiantly not something they hand made they remind me of grocery store frozen spring rolls. But the big disappointment was the crispy basil duck. Not crispy and little fried bits of meat with more batter than anything. The batter on the little duck meat was soggy. The worst part is I can tell it was previously made at lease a day before, not sold and re fried it was so chewy. I really dislike when you go to a place to expect good fresh foods for spend your money and you get screwed. One of the reasons why I started to review places.
We decided to give this place a try since we live right across the street. We ordered the basics - pad thai and papaya salad. The pad thai not only tasted awful, it even looked awful. There was no taste, the noodles were practically colorless, there was barely anything else in the box besides noodles. We asked for the pad thai to be cooked less sweet, and it still tasted like syrup was poured in. This was literally the worst pad thai we have ever had. The papaya salad had the same amount of shredded carrots as it did papaya, which is unusual. The peanuts in the dish were stale and the green beans were very dry.
Go a little further and just get Sisters Thai or another place in Vienna, this place is not worth trying.
My favorite take-out!
Wonderful job on our meal tonight. The duck was fantastic, I will be coming back!
Good Thai food at reasonable prices!
I was hopeful based on all the good reviews, but unfortunately I wasn't impressed. I had the cashew chicken for lunch. There was very little chicken, and the pieces were tiny. They were mostly breading and were cooked to a crisp. There was only crunch and no soft meat. I cannot recommend and will probably not go back again.
Great homie taste food
It's a nice place. Service is very fast. The food was good. I will come here again!
My favorite spot. Thank you all
We usually take away the order for a veggie pad Thai and it's yummy, delicious and lip smacking (what all I can add). The right amount of sauces gives it a perfect flavor. Also it gives some generous amount of noodles.
Really good food and good prices. The curries are hot and not skimpy. The Thai coffee was a hit. The beef fried rice was delicious. Will visit again.
Authentic Thai, very nice
Great food and great service. Never had an issue over there.
Delicious Pad Thai 😋👌
Good food and amazing service.
Best Thai in NOVA
The food here is slightly lower than mediocre in quality compared to other Thai restaurants within a 3-mile radius. We had very standard dishes (drunken noodles and green curry). The noodles were standard, maybe a bit too sweet while the green curry was a bit too creamy and not as fragrant as you might expect.
The service is barely adequate with a server that simply says “sit” when you come in, as if you’re a dog taking commands.
I’m honestly surprised a place like this can stay in business with other Thai restaurants that simply try harder in their customer service and in their food preparation.
TL;DR: Go somewhere else for Thai, almost anywhere else. Nothing special here.
First time tried the place. Ordered Bangkok Spicy Noodles since it very similar to Drunken Noodles (if you messed up that dish, then you pretty much bad imho). Pretty good. A bit salty. Then again almost every one cooked with a jar, not pinch, of salt now a day. Will try other dishes.
My go-to spot for years!
:(
Food is normally okay for the most part. I use to be here two to three tomes a week for the crab fried rice or noodles forfabout 3 to 5 months straifht. Their crab fried rice is normally on point. Their food is not consistently declicious unfortunately. I have been served cold food/tofu while dining in. They don't season the tofu at all here. The drunken noodles is good when it's fresh. Unfortunately they served me old friend rice for two fried rice carry-out orders when I went an hour before closing last night. Since I know they aren't really accommodating for their errors such as this I probably will no longer be frequenting this location.
Good food ...however, plenty of other Thai restaurants in the area. Nothing to differentiate in terms of pricing or excellent cuisine.
Excellent thin drunken noodles
Very nice service, clean and food is just fine.
No complaints at all.
When The food is good, it's very good! When it's not it is adequate. You are not guaranteed a great meal but it is within the realm of possibility, and when it happens, it is amazing
always good food service is friendly though at times a little slow my coworkers and i enjoy this spot all the time
Consistently, Delicious thai food. Been coming here for years. Highly recommend!
Found this place while I was here for professional development. I have no idea why there were so few people in the restaurant, because the food was hot and delicious. Service was quick and the food was priced right. Portions are standard American size so I walked out with a box. Plenty of vegetarian options (I recommend the pad see ew with tofu).
Amazing food and the staff are super nice. The drunken noodles is to die for.
Delicious! Best thai restaurant I've been to.. ordered take out all was great
Food was great
Good large amount of food
Good soup
Good food. Fast service.
This Mom & Pop Thai restaurant is hands down my favorite Thai place in the DC Metro area. It’s a little hole in the wall and on the inside it doesn’t look like much either, but they make the best Thai food hands down. I would highly recommend the Pad Prik Sod and Drunken Noodles.
There is much to like and little to dislike when dining at Bangkok st. The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are plentiful. You even get a bonus if you sit in the center of the dining area because of the t.v. setup, where you have fox news on one side and CNN on the other. The only dislike I have relates to the smell of feces permeating throughout the restaurant. If this bothers you so, take out is always an option.
I had the green curry squid and Thai iced tea, excellent.
Usually get take out the pineapple fried rice and cashew chicken are great! They just started offering sushi which is also very good
By the time we end up placing order for delivery we end up spending nearly $40 even it says min is $30.The food is way expensive for the taste and the delivery guy demands for tip.I personally don't recommend this restaurant. Not worth the hunger or the dollar.
Not bad. Lunch specials are affordable and quite good.
Basil chicken on point!
Pad thai was spot on, service was quick!
Came here with a large party of 14. Not only was the food amazing, the service was superb. We ordered just about all the appetizers favorite being calamari and tofu. Panang curry is to die for. Pad see ew, pad thai, salmon are all amazing. Thai tea is so good. This is probably my favorite Thai restaurant and I would definitely drive 40 minutes just to eat here again.
This is a so so Thai restaurant I come here for lunch with my dad every so often or when i need to pick up food after leaving micro center. They have a decent lunch special (though it does not include Pad Thai) I usually get the chicken panang curry lunch special which includes the entree and also fried pot stickers. The carry out is pretty quick about 10 min wait from when you call. Just a heads up the drunken noodle lunch special does not use the big fat noodles you're used to but thin pad thai noodles instead.
Did a carry-out order for Drunken Noodles.
First of all, the customer service was horrible (not a happy bunch of employees if you ask me), second of all she charged me full-price for my order without even asking me if i wanted the lunch special one or not (which is $2 more btw), and third of all, when i opened my carry-out box excited for my food, it looked like they jumbled up a bunch of noodles and stuffed it in the box. The noodles were a bit soggy (which is NOT what it's supposed to be like), there was BARELY any chicken or veggies, and i will never go back.
Food was terrible, service was terrible, and I feel like I just wasted $10 on crap that I could've made waay better myself...AND I'M NOT EVEN THAI!!
I really wouldn't recommend this place, stay far away!
This place makes my personal favorite green and panang tofu curries. The food's not terrifically fancy, but it tastes good. Biggest complaint: most of the desserts on the menu are unavailable most of the time.
Drunken Noodle is awesome. Try the Thai beer also.
