Oh my God! Seriously phenomenal Thai food! Really well executed, great service, clean atmosphere! Definitely returning!

We have returned several times and without fail every visit the food gets spicier and spicier. I love hot food. I love Thai food. However, there's a difference between spicy and borderline inedible. I hope that this place can chill out on the spice so they don't start losing customers. I've brought several people here and every time there is at least one dish that we cannot eat because it's too spicy. Even the salads will blow your mouth off. Definitely ask for mild if you want to enjoy the food.

This is a delightful place with delicious food and personal service. A selection of mocktails makes it even better!

Excellent food, service and location! Everything we had was delicious and we're looking forward to going back to try the rest of the menu! The papaya salad was labeled as medium spicy but it was legit spicy - which was great! I love it when restaurants don't dilute their spiciness :)

Food was good but when we placed a order we ask for one simple change with no basil but, not only did they give us extra basil but removed the pepper as well. Over all it was good food but for 80 dollars I feel like the one request was an easy change to be made.

Fast and friendly! Food just ok, nothing really good or bad to say about the kitchen. Ordered takeout Fri 30 Aug labor day wknd. Had a variety of dishes, all hot and very fair priced for the serving.

This is one of the only restraunts I trust not to cross contaminate my food with gluten. I usually get curry or pad Thai. The atmosphere is quiet. The service is prompt, she always does a good job and is friendly. I wish the menu denoted food allergies so I could try more items. I'm not the type to ask for accommodations or if it's possible to make gluten free. Just too shy for that. I have asked once for my husbands pineapple fried rice to be made gf. she was able to accommodate and was nice about it.

Gave this place another go, our first experience wasn’t so great when attempting to dine in. Although the first time was almost 2 years ago, we just now decided to try again. We got 2 orders of pho, ordered online. Ready in 10minutes. The portions were decent and flavor was good. Skimped on the traditional fixings that come with pho noodle soup like onions and cilantro, there was no lime. But decent overall

I ordered Chicken Musamu, basically yellow curry, and asked for it Thai hot. I came luke warm, rice room temp. and barely spicy hot. It had 3 pieces of carrot, 2 pieces of potato, 6 peanuts, couple pieces of onion and the right amount of chicken. $18 before taxes and tip. Tasted good but would have liked more than $1 of ingredients besides the chicken. Paid a lot for just a little.

SO tasty! You wouldn't expect Colonial Beach to be the site for phenomenal Thai food, but this is some of the best I've had. The restaurant itself isn't anything super fancy (but it's nicely decorated), but the service and food is top notch. The panang tofu is incredible! I don't know what they do to their tofu but it's perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!

The Orchid Thai gave us great food in a very friendly environment. We met the owners and they were also very attentive to our party. Awesome idea for a tasteful birthday celebration.

We had a group of 8 and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious - absolutely no complaints here. The owner even came out to introduce herself and make sure we were happy. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Definitely going again.

Our food was sooooo good and our server kindly explained everything and showed us photos of the specials! This helped us make our decision and it was super tasty.

A hidden gem in Colonial Beach. Food is on the spicy side, so make sure you ask for less spice if you cannot handle spicy food.

Was really excited for this meal and was sorely disappointed.

The appetizer sampler was 2 overcooked shrimp, one undercooked springroll and a couple of dumplings on a bed of soup crackers (for $10!) And the pad thai, while a much larger portion (for $17), was nearly flavorless. Despite being one of 6 people in the restaurant, my food came out cold and all of the chicken was chewier than beef jerky.

It's an A-1 location with lovely waitstaff, but their food was wildly different from what the other reviews claimed. Hopefully this was just an off day or a bad time

Holy moly this was good. I wasn't expecting fantastic Thai food in Colonial Beach, and I'm fairly picky about Thai food. The Pad Thai and Pad See Eaw were so flavorful and moist. Better than highly rated places I've come across in the DC and Richmond area. Service was excellent. Highly highly recommend!

We visited Colonial Beach for 2 nights, and ate diner at the Orchid Thai both nights - it was that good.

Each night I chose something I have never had before, and all was absolutely delicious. I tried a soup and entree each night. My wife ordered the Pad Thai each night, as she thought this was so good she had to have it twice. We also ordered the Mango / Sticky Rice for desert each night. What a unique and tasty treat!!!

The presentation of the dishes, and the pleasant atmosphere simply added to our enjoyment.

This place is a MUST if you are in Colonial Beach!

I am really glad we came here for lunch. The food was delicious, and the server was very nice and helpful. This will definitely become a regular stop for us.

This place is fantastic! The new management is making things happen. The food is delicious the service was fantastic. We had a wonderful lunch for 8 outside. All I can say is we will be back!

My friend and I went to the Orchid Thai last Wednesday evening and this place is "Excellent". Some of the best Thai food I've had in years. Nice being from a small town and able to get this delicious cuisine close to home. We both had Pai Thai, Steam Dumplings, and Sticky Rice/Mango dessert. The staff was so friendly! Highly recommend!!!!!

My goodness! Absolutely perfect. The panang chicken was very tasty. No, it was better than that. It had a bunch of flavors that blended explosively. The sticky fried rice and mango was a great follow up. Oh yeah, I got some steamed veggies on the side, because I thought I should eat something else healthy .

The lady who took my order asked if I knew that it was spicy. I said, "It's Thai food, right?" Just in case someone cares, it had a little zip to it, but I would not categorize it as really overwhelmingly spicy.

Amazing little restaurant. Food is well prepared and quick service. They understand what "Thai Hot' means. Desserts are excellent. Save room for the bread pudding.

Me and a friend went for dinner, it was reasonably priced. The food was very good and we met a very nice couple there who also liked their food. I would go there again to eat.

I was really looking forward to dining at Orchid Thai as the reviews have been great. I asked that the spice level of my food be medium, yet it came, in my opinion, extremely spicey. Mind you for the most part I enjoy spicey food, but this was over the top and painful to eat. When I brought this to the attention of the manager her response was Thai food is spicy. So much for customer satisfaction and taking advantage of an opportunity to make it right. I rarely write a review that isn’t a 5 star but in this case I just want to make potential diners aware.

Went there with my husband . He got Rock fish and I got whole fish deep fried ( Flounder ) it was delicious and good portion. Something you get to try if you are in Colonial Beach. Love it and we will be back in the summer.

We enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch at Orchid Thai. I am not a fan of Thai food, so I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. My favorite dish was Sesame Beef. Although I enjoyed the papaya salad as well.

Lots of great places to eat in CB, this is Amazing food, best of quality with very satisfying portions , great place to eat in Colonial Beach if you want good clean fresh food , I highly recommend

Had a wonderful lunch at the Orchid Thai Cuisine today. The meal was excellent, and the service was quick. If you like Thai food, I recommend this place because you won't be disappointed 😋🥰 Let's not forget their homemade bread pudding...delicious!

This may just be the best Thai Restaurant I’ve ever been to. We had the Beef Salad, Chicken Pad Thai, and Shrimp Panang Curry. All were 10/10 delicious. I’m glad it’s local to me!

EXCELLENT! Jus reopened under new ownership and nicely remodeled interior. Friendly, reasonably priced and 4 of 4 of my takeouts have been very tasty.

You know this is a legit Thai restaurant when they give 4 different ways (thai Sriracha, chili pepper flakes, chili oil, and what seems to be chili flakes in brine?) to add more spice on your food! NOT everything on their menu is spicy though, which is really good for children and others who don't care for spicy food. AND their bread pudding is literally 10/10.
