Their iced tea servings are huge, their pad Thai is nice and saucy without being overly sweet. The staff are very polite and kind, and it’s family owned. I would recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone!

Luckily I had some curry paste at home to add. Aside from this it was amazing and their pricing is very fair. They do have a 10% military discount which I appreciated. The service was extremely friendly and the atmosphere looked like a nice place to dine out. Only thing hurting them I'd say is their location. They're tucked away in a slow shopping center.

Definitely the best Thai food around! We order takeout which is always great whether you call in or do doordash. When we go in to eat the service is awesome and the owners/workers are so friendly. The restaurant is beautiful but I was disappointed with the flavor of the food. The portions are large and adequate for pricing. Came for the khoa soi but was slightly disappointed.

Wow. What an amazing find. Set in a strip mall, very unassuming yet amazing flavors and service. Prices are reasonable. The deep fried whole fish was absolutely the best we ever had. Crisp and flavorful. Highly encourage anyone to order. My family has set items we order at any new Thai restaurant we try and by a large margin, this is the place for the deep fried fish, Papaya Salad, and Red Curry. Come hungry and leave super satisfied.

I wasn’t wowed by the food. It was okay at best. Also, it was only one person taking orders and bringing food. She was forgetting parts of the orders. We asked for a salad instead of soup.. we received soup. The table behind us never got their soup and had to ask for it to go.

Nice Thai Cuisine is a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center that you might overlook if you’re just driving by. Surrounded by more warehouse-like businesses, you wouldn’t guess it’s home to some of the best Thai food around—but don’t let the location fool you.

We tried the chicken Pad Thai, the crab and cream cheese appetizers (I’m not sure what they’re called), and the Masman curry. The curry was especially memorable—it came with so much sauce that I was able to take the leftovers home, add chicken, peppers, and onions, and make several extra meals.

What really sets this place apart is the head chef, who worked in five-star restaurants in Thailand. The man knows his food, and it shows in every dish.

I’ve traveled all over the country for work, and this is easily the second-best Thai food I’ve ever had. First place still belongs to a spot near NASA where I worked for years, but that’s as much about the memories as the food.

If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this unassuming spot for incredible Thai cuisine!

Came in towards the end of the evening for dinner. Oh man what amazing food. We had the Pad See Ew with beef, Panang curry with shrimp, and the crunchy garlic chicken. The food was delicious, flavorful just the perfect amount of spicy. The beef was tender and the crunchy garlic chicken was super moist wrapped up in terrific flavorful crunch. OMH, Cant forget the mangos with sticky rice for desert #drool. The service was great our server was attentive, and very nice. Food came out promtly and the Thai ice tea was refreshing. We will definitely be coming back. My wife and I came in to celebrate our anniversary and since our fiirst date was a thai place in California, we were so grateful to find a local restaurant that was a perfect fit for date night.

This is by far the best Thai in the area. Absolutely loved how they have gluten and soy free options. The Panang Curry was incredible. My family also really enjoyed the combination fried rice, crab delight, and Thai wings. Our visit was exceptional down to the service! They were so kind! We will definitely be back!

My go to order is always Krapao Mhoo Krob (basil stir fry with crispy pork) and Thai tea. I’ve also tried Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Khao Soi, Papaya Salad, Crispy Tofu, Butterfly Shrimp, and chicken wings. For dessert, I get the mango sticky rice if I didn’t already fill up on the entrees. All these dishes were phenomenal. I wish I could afford going everyday.

The staffs are amazing and when the restaurant isn’t too busy, would definitely recommend talking to the staff. Service is excellent.

So happy I discovered this gem! Having recently relocated from Philly, I’ve been on the hunt for Thai cuisine, and this place exceeded expectations. The server was exceptionally pleasant, and the chef treated us to a complimentary off-menu lobster bisque. We ordered shrimp pad Thai, fresh rolls, tom Kha soup, papaya salad, and mango sticky rice—all 10/10’s and very reasonably priced for the portions and quality of the meal. Can’t wait to come back 😊

This restaurant is so cute inside, the waitress was friendly, happy, and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. I got the red curry with a spicy level 2 and I think someone who doesn't like spicy food could do a level 2, I could taste the spice but it was not a mouth on fire type, just a mild spicy. Their lunch specials were $12 and I got very full. The lunch also was served with a free cup of yummy soup. Highly recommend! In my picture is the garlic delight and the free soup

This is a good restaurant for authentic Thai food. It's a small establishment with big flavors. They also have Pad Prik Khing, one of my favorite Thai dishes. Their spicy levels are perfect. The good comes out hot and fresh. The Drunken Noodles are excellent with great texture. The Panang curry satisfies any curry craven. The service is super friendly and welcoming.

My husband is of Thai decent and he brought me here after work and this place is amazing from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Everything was so delicious!!! I got the crab delight and Pad See Ew and my husband got Pad-Kra-Prao! They're all wonderful, amazing and nice they make you feel like you're at home! I honestly can't say enough NICE things about this restaurant! We met one of the owners (the beautiful wife) and she had time to come out and speak with us!! Appetizers do not disappoint. Try the coconut soup! A small is big enough to share. Chose the chef's specials on recommendation of another review. Highly recommend them. Had the salmon curry. Wife had Hot Pan Lard Na. Finished with black sticky rice pudding. If you like coconut, it's in there. The black sticky rice gives the dish a slightly nutty texture. Nice place to go and relax.

Service is friendly, I was immediately greeted upon entering, asked how many and was told to seat myself anywhere.
I love booths enough for me, myself and I to spread out, their booth tabletop is wrapped in linen and then a layer of clear plastic. Slight upgrade to bare takes I suppose.
All around the walls are recognizable Thai decor: a large red velvet linen with gold thread embroidery of elephants, sacred to Thai culture. There are metal lotus flowers on the wall. There is an aquarium which provides for a serene atmosphere. Even the placemat reminds you to "Always Stay Humble and Kind", akin to the teachings of Buddha.
Now to the important aspect of a restaurant that neither service nor ambiance can ensure repeat patronage: how good is the food? I definitely know it is an absolute 5 star, I'd give a 10 if I could. It's downright well seasoned, just right harmony of salty, sweet, spicy, crispy and moist. Order nbr T4 - Kra Prao with crispy pork belly (the fish comes with ground pork as well - moo sub Kai dao).

Some of the best Thai food in Hampton Roads! Run by a super friendly couple; the husband can seriously cook. I've never had a bad dish here. Try the crispy garlic chicken and the panang curry - wonderful!

Nice Thai Cuisine Is a fine little mom and pop restaurant with dine in and take-out service. The atmosphere is quiet and soothing. Service was fast, and the owner came out and checked on our satisfaction with the meal.

We told the waitress that there was someone in our group that had a shellfish allergy and they made sure that none of the sauces for the dishes ordered contained shellfish. The food was amazing. We wanted Thai food for a while and have passed by this place a few times but never went in. After reading reviews and seeing people say how good it was we decided to try it out. It is definitely one of the best Thai food restaurants. We brought a friend with us so we had 3 different curries from the specials lunch menu; Red, Green and Massamun wh8ch came with soup, jasmine rice and pad thai. We ordered the Thai tea which came in a good size glass and was so refreshing. I also ordered the papaya salad which is what i had to try because I love how Thai people make it. The waitresses asked if we wanted the local version or the authentic thai version so we went authentic which has a little more things in it. Overall everything was delicious and the price was great for what you got and the Chef came out to personally ask us how the food was. The Waitress was great too. We will definitely be back to try different dishes in the future.

Easily my new favorite Thai restaurant in Hampton Roads. Located in a small corner of an aged shopping center, this place is a true gem. Upon stepping inside, the decor is fantastic, cozy, steeped in culture, but not at all overwhelming. The seating area is not too big or too small. Perfect for groups or couples.
The place is run by a lovely family. They are all extremely friendly and make excellent recommendations for folks new to the restaurant and Thai food altogether.
The chef is top tier! His experience working at a five-star hotel in Thailand and working with Michelin chefs shows through the food in both flavor and presentation. I've made it a personal goal to try everything on the menu at least once, starting with the Authentic Thai dishes.

I've been to many Thai restaurants in the area, and I have never been able to find Khao Soi anywhere. Not only was this Northern Thai dish on the menu, it took me right back to Chiang Mai with how good it was. Absolutely phenomenal. And the presentation of pouring the broth over the ingredients was a very classy touch. I wish I could give 6 stars in each category.

Pad Thai chicken took 10 minutes!... and now I know why. Oh my gosh. It's disgusting. Chicken tastes old. I immediately spit it out. There's is no seasoning. There's a mild sauce (I asked for no spice) with barely any seasoning. The whole thing smells funny. $17 for this dish isn't worth it. I've had Pad Thai Chicken and other Thai food at many other places.

Fried rice had no flavor. My fried garlic chicken was pretty good.

I had a wonderful experience at Nice Thai Cuisine. I wish I lived closer because I would probably be there once a week! The service was just fantastic, my server was so incredibly friendly and happy to be there. I ordered the lunch special where I got a soup, pad Thai, and massaman curry. All the food was fresh and delicious. The chef brought out a complimentary oyster dish for me to try as well and it was so flavorful. I also had a yummy Thai tea in the biggest cup I’ve seen at a restaurant. They did not skimp! Overall, I was so impressed and had such a nice time. Can’t recommend enough!

Crispy duck curry was the best Thai dish I’ve ever eaten in Hampton Roads. The Chicken satay were great, as well as the green curry. Cucumber salad was OK. Fantastic service.

A great Thai dining experience! I spent time in Thailand in the early 90s so I’m pretty picky. This is the best you can do in Hampton Roads, trust me on this. My Pad See Ew was perfect! Great portion size too. The owner came to see how my food was. She was gracious and welcoming, like Thai folks always are. I cannot really pick on my meal in any respect and will certainly be back.

Visiting from out of town. Got the rec from my niece. Don't let the location deter you! Very attentive service in a very clean environment. The owner/chef even came out to thank us. Nice folks. The Penang and Massaman curries were delicious. The Pad Thai was excellent. The Crab Delights and Chicken Satay starters were also great! Also really enjoyed ending our meal with the Sticky Mango Rice. I'll be back for sure next time we are passing through.

If you’re are looking for some good Thai food, look no further. This place was so good! We got the crab delights, pineapple fired rice, Panang curry, Massamun curry, Pad Thai and the mango sticky rice. Everything was so good!! Also no matter how full you are, dont skip dessert, the mango sticky rice is too good to pass up!

My husband and I went for the first time tonight and let me tell you this place DID NOT disappoint!!! From the atmosphere to the staff to the food, everything was amazing! My husband ordered the red curry with seafood and I ordered the drunken noodles. Big portions, tasted amazing, smelled incredible, that I’ll be honest I was dancing like a little kid in my seat. I’m a very picky person when it comes to Thai food because I worked in a Thai establishment for two years, I’m also pregnant and this is one of the few places where we found everything to be perfect. The staff was incredibly kind and caring. It has an amazing home feeling. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend and we are DEFINITELY going back!!!

Im a Thai food fanatic and I am used to good thai food being found in La, San Diego, NYC ect...So it is nice to find a good spot like this especially a hole in the wall. Loved it. Pad Si Ew uses the legit soft wide noodles and had a good wok taste. The laab Issan was legit finished with a good toasted rice powder. Great hole in the wall find.

Best Thai food I’ve had hands down. Everything is very fresh and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Throughout all my travels and living overseas I have explored so many cuisines in so many countries. I recently just discovered Nice Thai Cuisine and I’m in love. I started my adventure with the Fried Spring Rolls which had this deliciously crispy outer that crunched away to the freshest veggies inside. Fried to perfection. Next up was the Red Thai Curry. I have never tasted Thai Curry so perfectly composed in my life. From the eggplant to the chicken, each bite was like a firework show of excitement and emotions as I kept thinking, “I can’t wait to come back and try more!” I washed all of this down with a Thai Tea that sealed the dish for a perfect night out. I ask our host / server to please thank Chef Rattpon for us and he excitedly came over to talk with us. I was so giddy to learn how he composed the dish and how he cooked the eggplant which is the best I’ve ever eaten. His time spent working in the 5-Starred hotel with a Michelin starred chefs had me wishing I could work under him to learn from his 15+ years of experience. Not every restaurant has a soul/spirit within its walls and this one surely does. Thank you Chef Rattpon and to the whole team for such a wonderful night.

If you love Thai, you need to try this hidden gem. It's next to Home Emporium. It's open on Tuesday where most Thai places are closed. That's how we stumbled upon this place. We saw that it has great reviews and now we know why. The food and service are both EXCELLENT!!!! I got the pad Thai and my husband got the drunken noodles. Both are delicious!! The restaurant is spotless, nice and clean. This is something I always look for. If you've never tried Thai tea, you must get it. This was our first time here, but we'll definitely be back!!

Pad Thai was very delicious and a great sized portion. I got mine extra hot 🔥 I believe they had a good balance of heat and flavor. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

I travel USA for work and eat a lot of places. This place is one of the best Thai restaurants and definitely the best in Virginia.
The family who own it are the nicest and the food is consistently yummy!

Don’t even get me started on the food, I have tried more thai restaurants than I can count and I can certainly say this is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to!

My wife is Thai, and we are so happy to finally find a Thai restaurant with authentic Thai food. Best Thai in the area by far. We almost tried the entire menu. Love the weekly special. I can’t advise to try Kaw Soi and the crispy rice salad.

Love this place. Really delicious food! I had PadThai Papaya salad Fried chicken Orange Chicken Thai tea(must try) and The most I love Pink Noodles (Yentafo). They have special menu every week too. Overall the service was wonderful. I can’t wait to visit again.

Pad See Ew was perfect! Tried a special dish BBQ pork and Crab Egg Noodle Soup..the egg noodles were cooked perfectly and tasty BBQ pork. Would definitely go back and try other Thai dishes they have. 😊❤️

I went there earlier today with a meet-up group for tge first time. I usually go to the Robert Hall Blvd area, but I never noticed this place. It is a small place, but the staff were very attentive. I had the pineapple fried rice. It was delicious. I will definitely go back there.

This is the first review I've ever done but I had to let others know of this gem in the ruff. My mother and I were looking for a nice tai place to eat and instead found an amazing one. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and made you feel very welcome.
They went out of their way to check up on us and made sure we felt accommodated.
The food was immaculate and everything was just right. My mother and I both ordered chicken pad tai, which is my favorite tai dish and it exceeded my expectations. Everything tasted fresh and was truly the best Thai food I have ever eaten.
The restaurant itself was very beautiful and inviting and you can tell they put effort into the looks of the building to make it feel clean and homey.

Will be back next time I'm in Chesapeake!

The food was very delicious. I enjoyed the Green curry. Serving size was enough to have two meals out of it. Definitely worth the price and very affordable.

Two of the most nicest women they work very hard @ pleasing the customer! And the food is unbelievably Great! They took a place that was already great fron tida thai(jack ache. Annie) and made it that much greater!

I usually don’t leave reviews but my experience compelled me to share my thoughts. I have never been to a restaurant with a livelier and more welcoming host that made me feel like she was cooking just for my son and I. The food was beyond outstanding, beautifully prepared highlighting the great care taken throughout. Attention was paid to us throughout our visit without being disruptive. A truly wonderful experience and exceptional joy to have taken the time to discover this restaurant. Highly recommended!

Best Thai food ive had here in Virginia!!

The food taste very good, it’s traditional and reminds me of Thailand. It’s very clean inside and the staff is very friendly.

Best Thai I've had locally. If you aren't too familiar with Thai food, I'd recommend trying the Pad Thai at a 3 out of 5 on hotness. If you're familiar with Thai, I'd recommend a 4 or 5 on hotness in whatever you order.
I've never had Thai food in Thailand, but these dishes do not taste as if the cooks are holding back on spices and flavor. I don't know that I'm qualified to say if it's authentic or not.
The owner says the back page of the menu has the most authentic dishes.

The presentation and friendly was so charming. My first choice when I am going out to eat.

Ordered take out from the website. Fairly easy to use. Arrived and my order was already bagged. Friendly staff greated me and read off my order. She told me it was all in the bag. When I unbagged the food for my sick fiance and child, we found that we were missing my fiancé's food from the order. I called and they offered to refund the cost of the item.

The food was sub par. Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice both tasted like they were cooked in a dirty pan. The fried spring rolls were mooshy/doughy on the inside. The pot stickers were nearly devoid of any type of filling and overcooked.

I was a fairly regular customer of this place for years under multiple different owners and loved it. I was gone for a few years and came back to find my favorite Thai spot gone. We decided to give it a shot tonight and I am seriously disappointed. If you are in the area and looking for good Thai food, I recommend Racha Thai because Nice Thai didn't get it done.

Should have named it Fantastic Thai Cuisine.
The food is to die for! Some of the best Thai food I've had. The service was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. It's off the beaten path, but we'll come back here again for sure.

My wife and I come here every Thursday for date night. Their Pad See Ew is amazing with scratch made noodles. I highly recommend for both Dine In and Take Out. We prefer Dine In, but their take out is great when we don't have as much time. Try it, you won't regret it.

Best chicken cashew in town!

This is the best Thai Restaurant in VA. I cant say more. You have to come and try. The waiters so nice and the owner is the chefs himself cooking in the kitchen. They have so many gluten free options too.

Best food ever, seriously. Everything is amazing and the people are so nice. They have the kindest staff. Today was my second time and I can't wait to try everything on the menu.

Our dinner at Nice wasn’t just nice, it was VERY NICE. Jokes aside, it was a great experience and we will definitely be returning. The restaurant itself was charming and the staff could not have been more personable. We had two dishes from the Authentic Thai section, Hot Pan Lard Na and Khao Soi Chicken, which were both excellent. The Hot Pan Lard Na is the most interesting and flavorful Thai dish I have ever tasted. The Lard Na is served with a bit of flourish on a hot pan table side , with the delicious gravy being poured onto the hot pan, creating an aromatic cloud of steam. The pork was tender and juicy, which unfortunately is not common at other Thai restaurants, and the wide noodles were amazing and unlike any I have had before. The Khao Soi chicken is like an interesting Thai take on Fried Chicken and consists of a juicy piece of pan fried/braised chicken served on a bed of fried noodles, with a curry poured onto the dish at the table. I preferred the Hot Pan Lard Na but I would have walked away very happy if I just had the chicken. Multiple members of the staff/ownership visited the table, each with a genuine smile on their face, creating a good vibe in the restaurant. I look forward to trying more dishes on the menu. If you haven’t tried it already, make sure you give Nice Thai Cuisine a chance as it was an excellent meal and an enjoyable evening out.

Excellent food but the portion of my noodles dish was little and not full enough on my plate compared to other Thai restaurants that I've been to but food quality and taste was 10/10. Will come back again 👍

I felt so welcomed when I came in and the food is spectacular! It has that wonderful home-made quality that is hard to find. Definitely going to be my go-to for Thai Food from now on. I would highly recommend the coconut ice cream for dessert as an extra treat.

They really are NICE! But the food is also super delicious! I drive over from Virginia Beach just so I can get their great food. It’s worth it.

This is an amazing Thai Restaurant that serves delicious Traditional Thai, Bangkok and Isan style dishes. In the back is Chef Name who has apprenticed under and cooked with 3 different Michelin Star chefs at some of Bangkok's top establishments. His 8 years at places like 5 Star St. Regis in Bangkok really shines through each meal here at Nice Thai. In the front is his wife, Chef Bew, who is equally great in her dishes.

For a small family run business they cook big meals. They shop for fresh meats and vegetables every morning before they arrive at the restaurant. This is the way they do it in Thailand. And every dish is cooked to order. This might take a few more minutes to get to you in peak times, but is so worth the wait.

Order your favorites right off the menu or ask about their rotating specials. Either way you will not be disappointed. And if you want something not on the menu, they are always happy to cook it up special for you as long as they have the fresh supplies on hand. So that amazing dish you had on that backpacking trip to S.E. Asia back in college can be made.

This family really puts love into all of their food and it shows. Give them a chance and be patient. It's truly worth it.

I didn't really know what to expect when my wife and I went to 'Nice Thai Cuisine ' but the food was good as it looked. The service was excellent! One of the best Thai restaurants I've eaten at!

I’ve finally found a Thai place that serves “REAL AUTHENTIC” THAI food after living in Virginia Beach for a year. I had Yen Ta Fo (pink noodles). It was sooooo good. If you’ve ever had this dish in Thailand, you won’t be disappointed. My husband had Americanized version Pad Ka Prao (stir fry basil). However, this place offers real Thai style Pad Ka Prao.

Chef Rattapon and Bew (his wife) were really nice and friendly. He gave us free sample of Kao Mun Gai (Thai style chicken rice), which was very nice of him.

According to our conversation, they will try to come up with new authentic dishes every week. I can’t wait to try their BOAT NOODLES (blood noodles) when it’s finally available!

Don’t miss! If you are in the Chesapeake area. Authentic Thai food at Nice Thai cuisine. The food and services were wonderful! Yum!!

Feels like I’m back in Thailand eating at this sweet place! The restaurant has had many changeovers but the new owners are amazing!
