Update to my original 5 star review... I should start off by saying i have been a faithful patron of this restaurant for 14 years.... and I rarely leave bad reviews but today's experience was very troubling.

February 15, 2025
I am so disappointed to have to update this review but my experience today at Thai in Shirlington was terrible and unacceptable. I will just state the highlights both positive and negative.
1. Wonton soup is stilll delicious. 2. My son loved the tofu bites.

Everything beyond that was simply unacceptable and not what i have grown to love about Thai in Shirlington.

1. The glasses of water given to us when we arrived were dirty. All 3! My son's had dried rice on the glass and my daughter and I, both found dirt on them. When i ordered our drinks, I asked for "to go cups" to prevent getting more dirty glasses.

I veered away from my usual (spicy eggplant) and ordered their ginger stir fry as it was reccomended by the server - and it was awful. 1st, it was not hot, second it looked like steamed veggies and some strange sauce were poured on it and had absolutely NO flavor and hardly any ginger. I ate a piece of the tofu and a piece of broccoli and had to stop. When my server asked how it was, i told him not great and he said he was so sorry and walked away. Literally walked away! Did not even offer to fix it.

Three minutes later another server(not my original) came by and I told her I did not like it and to please remove it from my bill. I had not touched it much or the rice that came with it at all. She said she would talk to her manager. She then came back and said she would reduce the price by 25% which i found puzzling. I did not eat or like the dish!
She then came back again but told me that it was removed but that the manager said, "Next time I don't like a dish, I should let the server know BEFORE ordering" ...my mouth dropped. I could not believe what came out her mouth.

The manager came by 3 minutes later to further justify the actions of her server (conpletely baffled at this point - and highly upset)

I also heard the table behind me (also faithful customers - who I overheard just left a funeral!!! Yes a funeral..., and were overcharged. The manager treated them terrible as well.

Needless to say - this is not the experience I am accustomed to having and had to update my review below. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Delicious wonton soup, spicy egg plant was pretty good - not as spicy as i would have liked. Service from Ms. Lin was fantastic.

Diner Review №7

Delicious food. Very attentive servers. We had the assorted dumpling appetizer, Lemongrass Crusted Salmon, and red curry shrimp. This is a place to come back to!

Diner Review №8

The chicken is always undercooked and tastes horrific, i had both the drunken noodles and the orange curry. Currently under anxiety for potential salmonella

The best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to! The range of entrees is remarkable. The owner and staff are more than accommodating and soon you feel like part of the family! Impressive!

Food = amazing
Service = outstanding
Atmosphere = wonderful

We didn't have a reservation, walked in, and were seated in a few minutes. The service was amazing. Kai did a great job of taking care of us. My wife had the pine apple fried rice and I had the panang curry. It has to be the best we've ever had. It was so good. I wanted to eat the entire thing in one sitting, but the portions are large.

This has been one of our favorite restaurants for years!! I love the panang and ginger lemon iced team! It’s so good - take out or in the restaurant, it’s always a hit with our family - even our 8 year old! My husband appreciates the gluten free options! He loves the pad Thai!

Diner Review №15

I order from this place often, but recently had an issue with the GrubHub order. When I contacted the restaurant, they remade the food and delivered it themselves. I am grateful for their service and always delicious food. I recommend ordering directly with the restaurant.

A+ Thai food. Had the Panang curry, shrimp pad Thai, and Pad See Ew noodles, and all were fantastic. Sorta disappointed they don’t have crab Rangoon but that’s ok. Too many other places use the super thin noodles for pad Thai which ruins the dish. I’m very glad this restaurant uses conventional noodles.

Diner Review №19

Blandest pad Thai I’ve ever had

Never ordered from T.H.A.I. in Shirlington. So I ordered delivery, via Grubhub, from them at around 4:20 PM. I ordered General Tso' Dinner (Spicy Friend Chicken Tenders) which was a Noodle Entree and Banana Bread Pudding. Grubhub gave me a delivery time which was WAY off. They arrived well before that - well within the 45 minutes I think of as the normal delivery time.
The driver was polite and all the food was packaged properly. No spills or anything like that.
While I have had General Tso's Chicken before I have never had it as a noodle dish and I have to say I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed it. Just the right level of spice, the perfect amount of chicken, mixed in with a good amount of vegetables and noodles.
I have also never had Banana Bread Pudding before. It with came with rum whipped cream and caramel sauce all carefully packed. There is no words to explain just how GOOD that dessert was. The photos don't do it justice. Also there give you more rum whipped cream than pictured - I had a spoon full of it before the photo. It smelled so good.
Also, free delivery. What more could you want?
Update- dined in. Great staff, good specials, still the best banana bread pudding.

Diner Review №25

I only got the papaya salad and asked them to put less salt and sugar. It was a good papaya salad.

Diner Review №26

We ordered our food to go. I want to start out with staying that the food was really good!

However, when I went to pick up our food, the woman asked me three times for my name and acted like she was in a rush. Even if I was a delivery person, no one should feel rushed. I was the actual customer picking up our food :-(

Our to-go-drink which was the ginger lemon ice tea which tasted delicious but was not filled up to the top and had a significant amount of room for more to be poured. I didn't even want to ask the same woman because she had the attitude like she was being bothered :-(

We haven't been here in a long while and never had an issue in the past so I was surprised. I hope our service is better next time.

Diner Review №27

The food was really good and tasty. Service was great.

Diner Review №28

Excellent entrees, food was prepared and presented very well.

Diner Review №30

Before I begin my review be aware that their takeout containers are some trash! They are not sturdy enough to hold your food. They get so soggy and damn near fall apart. I had to remove the food from them cause it was almost falling out when I picked it up. Get better containers 🙄. Went for lunch and ordered CRISPY VEGGIE SPRING ROLL With sweet carrot dip. This was so good especially the carrot dip not what is normally served with spring rolls but very tasty. Also got the CRISPY SALMON N’ RICE ROLL. Very tasty item I did not like the flavor if the dip bit it was still delicious. Third item PANANG PERFECT it was okay. Fourth item ordered NUA SIAM. It was sooo salty that I couldn’t even enjoy it. My mouth was numb after trying to eat it. So it wasn’t good for that reason. Also ordered the pineapple fried rice, general tso shrimp and the drunken noodles with chicken and those where all good but they don’t remove the tails from the shrimp which is annoying when you have to do their job and remove them before you eat 🙄. Our waitress was super sweet, kind and friendly.

Diner Review №31

T.H.A.I. In Shirlington Restaurant is our favorite Thai restaurant in the DMV. We have been going there for almost thirty years. It’s a lot busier now than the 90s. The staff were really nice and friendly, and the food are always good. They have the best Seafood Lemongrass Soup, and the Shrimp and Crab Gyoza and Drunken Noodles are my favorites. The outside dining area is great for people watching after dinner.

Diner Review №32

This was not good Thai food. I have eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants and would rate this at the bottom of the list. I ordered drunken noodles with beef. There were too many noodles compared to the other ingredients and the noodles were under cooked and stuck together. Very little flavor overall, very little basil, not many veggies, and hardly any spice at all. Plus, they were fairly expensive compared to other Thai restaurants. I will not go back and do not recommend.

Diner Review №33

T.H.A.I. Shirlington has provided stellar classics from the region. You can't go wrong with any of their entrees but my go-to dishes are definitely the pad Thai and the basil chicken. Both provide an incredible amount of flavor and just the right amount of heat. You will always get your money's worth here as the food portions are quite generous.

Diner Review №34

Dined here on August 4, 2024 at roughly 5:30-6:30 p.m. (and numerous times prior to this occasion). Ordered green curry with chicken. While spooning out what remained of the dish, my spoon pulled up a dead roach. The manager (who may also be the owner?) came out and was seemingly apologetic but he only addressed my friend. I clarified that I was the one who had the roach in his dish, not my friend. Yet, he continued to address my friend while merely glancing at me. In fact he said, "(My friend's name), I'm so sorry this happened." As you can tell, he clearly knows my friend, so I give him that, but not only was it bad enough for what happened to happen, but to then be merely glanced at while an apology is extended to my friend but not me was beyond insulting, it made me feel invisible, like my experience didn't matter one bit, but my friend's tangential experience mattered a great deal.

Yes, it's gross but I'm also a realist and I know probably grosser stuff lands in our food all the time and we don't even know about it. In fact, upon leaving the restaurant, I still left a few bucks for the waiter because it wasn't his fault there was a roach in my dish, and I wasn't going to write at all. Then I got to thinking about it, and why shouldn't I? Now, a couple hours after the fact when I write this, the chief offense in my mind seems to be how the manager practically ignored me more so than the actual roach in my food. No, the roach is still pretty gross and disgusting.

Before anyone asks: No, I didn't think to take a photo as evidence until after they removed the dish, and frankly I was too grossed out to want to spoon for it again in the sauce of my dish. No, they did not make either of us pay for our meals.

Great food! Great flavors! Been here for years, service seems to be a bit slow recently but friendly.

Diner Review №37

This place is authentic and the service, wonderful. The atmosphere is okay, and the food is good. I got drunken noodle with tofu and it was good, but the portion was kind of small and not a lot of tofu or vegetables. I would try something else next time. Spring roll was good.

Incredibly good Thai food in a casual but nice restaurant. The staff was friendly and took allergens seriously. They have an extensive gluten free menu and we're very accommodating to someone that has Celiac disease. Definitely recommend for someone that has Celiac disease. Meant to take a photo before I ate, but the green curry was just too good!

Food was pretty decent and a nice place if you’re looking for food in Shirlington. There’s a vegetarian section of the menu if you’re looking for that- I got the spicy eggplant and it was delicious. We also tried the chive dumplings which were great to start our meal.

Longstanding thai restaurant usually go to but not quite as good last night.

Outdoor seating is very enjoyable in the nice weather and Outdoor is "dog friendly. "

Chicken satay is a good appetizer and dumplings were very good.

Shrimp pad thai is always a safe choice as is Nu Siam which is good as well.

Flourless chocolate cake for desert is always very good.

While visiting in Shirlington for several days, our party had a desire for a light dinner. We went to the T.H.A.I. restaurant and had a delicious meal of appetizers and an impressive dessert.

The three appetizers added up to a good amount of food. All three were excellent. My favorite was the chicken satay for the flavor.

For dessert, we ordered a banana flambe accompanied by a scoop of coconut ice cream. The presentation was attractive and it tasted great.

Our server, Nok, did an excellent job.

Diner Review №51

I got the Tso chicken and fried rice. Wontons. None of it was good.

Diner Review №52

The place is about 60% full, lots of staff visible and working but Pad Thai for carryout takes 45 minutes?? I'm watching person after person come and get there order while I'm waiting and the staff is helpful although it would have been nice to have been told up front about this wait. Finally the manager comes and hands me the food and I asked her what happened and she is rude and tells me they are making food in order and I've observed that's obviously not the case. No sense of urgency at all from the back of the house.

Diner Review №53

Good Thai food!

Diner Review №54

We were there on Mothers Day, and it was busy. Still, the staff was friendly and warm, our food came promptly, and we had a great experience.

Diner Review №55

Very good food and very good service. The decor is also cool.

Diner Review №56

Food is really great and staff are very kind.

Diner Review №57

Couldn’t ask for a better spot in Shirlington. Over the past five years, quality and prices have been consistent and it’s no wonder they’ve stayed in business while offering the best lunch deals in the area. Service is incredibly fast, modifications are done without any hassle.

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №59

Had vegetable spring rolls & Pad Thai with shrimp.
Very average spring rolls, Pad Thai was below average. The sauce was too salty & too sweet.
I'll stick with my favorite Thai place.
The cocktail, Sear Memory, was good, but it quickly became warm & no longer cold, which made me think that Prosecco was not well chilled.

Diner Review №60

Chicken Krapow (Basil Chicken) and Green Curry Chicken WITHOUT ANY BASIL!!!! I ordered carry out and was horrified when I went to eat it an hour later at home that neither dish had even one leave of basil in it!!!! I could have had soup from a can that had more flavor and taste than these dishes. If I paid half of what I paid for these meals, I would have been annoyed. Just awful. Never again, T.H.A.I. Shirlington. You've lost the restaurant plot!

Diner Review №61

A solid choice whenever you're in Shirlington. The food was great. We got the pad Thai and the drunken noodles both were the perfect amount of food. We also got a lychee prosecco drink that is super pretty and delicious! Service was quick and very friendly! There was also outdoor seating available

So enjoyed eating here tonight! Recommend the panang curry, Seared in Memory cocktail, & the special coconut/cantaloup dessert for Thai new year. Wonderful servers! Fun to get a small taste of Thai Songkran (new year) festivities this week, too.

Diner Review №66

Food is delicious

Diner Review №67

The food is really good, and the service is friendly and fast, but the decor/ambience feel a bit dated, or cheaper than average. From the tabletops to the plates and silverware , most things around you feel on the cheaper side, which is a shame, especially when the food is that good.

Diner Review №68

They accomodated us immediately when no other restaurant in Shirlington had an open table. The food was excellent and their staff are very friendly.

Diner Review №69

Everything about this place was perfect! Food was tasteful & full of flavors. Outdoor & indoor seating. It’s a peaceful atmosphere! The service was 10/10. Will definitely be back.

Diner Review №70

This place has a large selection on their menu, and the appetizers were great. I had the spring rolls and fried tofu. If you have a gluten intolerance or celiac disease, there's a lot of options for you! My friend and I had the chicken basil and the tempura flounder. The chicken basil was tastey, but it wasn't spicy at all as advertised on the menu along asking to truly make this dish spicy (why I chose this spot originally). The flounder itself was fresh, good fish. The sauce however tasted like watered down fish sauce, again no spice character. If you don't want spicy food, then this would be great for you. If you want true Thai spice, I would look elsewhere. The service was alright, the first man I had was very kind. I recieved the wrong wine, but it ended up tasting great and honestly pairing better with the food than what I had originally ordered! The second person serving us seemed like they were over that day, which I get at the end of a long serving shift, it just doesn't mean you get to be cold towards everyone.

Diner Review №71

Order two lunch specials, really delicious food! They have a new chef so one must visit a few more times to "test" him out. :)

Diner Review №74

Never disappointed with this place. The food and service is consistently good. There’s a lot of free parking within a block or two and very accessible. The setting is casual, comfortable, and clean. My sons, wife, and I started with the chive dumplings, which are a must have. My wife and I got the fried Thai chicken while one son had Penang perfect and the other had the General Tso’s chicken. Everything was delicious.

Update. Overall a good place to eat. It's in a good location with several free parking garages within a few blocks which helps. Service is always good and the food is consistently good. This last time my wife and I made a meal with plenty of small plates (appetizers). One of our favorites is the crispy chive dumplings and the winter squash potstickers. We also had the chicken satay , chicken mango salad, and fresh Vietnamese summer rolls. Most are solid but I think the satay could be better.

Update. We went there for lunch today since it had been awhile. We found parking behind the restaurant without any problems. The restaurant was clean and service was decent but I do feel like they’ve slipped some. I had the pad see ew while my wife had the Penang perfect curry. Both were ok but not up to our expectations. My pad see ew was a little sweeter than it should be and I think the vegetables were different. My wife’s chicken in the curry was tough.

Still good food, but it feels like they’ve slipped. Getting parked is easy as there are no less than 3 free parking garages within a block or two so there’s no reason to worry. We were seated quickly although they were very busy; busier than I’ve ever seen them. The setting is very nice and a great place to go with a significant other. The food however seemed blander than in the past. An absolute must try are the crispy chive dumplings and winter squash potstickers. I had the crying Tiger steak, but it came nowhere near to making me cry; I think it could have been better. My wife had the spicy eggplant and had no problem with the heat to where she had to add peppers (and she normally avoids spicy). My son had the chicken cashew, which was shy of cashews. Again, not bad, but not as good as it used to be. New chef?

I am never disappointed with THAI in Shirlington. The service is always great, and the food is always delicious. I’m a huge fan of the drunken noodles, spicy basil fried rice, pan-seared squash potstickers, and garlic chive wafers. But other dishes I’ve had were also delicious. This is a regular for my wife and I.

Food is typically hit or miss in Shirlington but this place was actually pretty good. The pad thai was very flavorful and extremely filling. I got it with tofu. It seems like this place is going downhill. I went there today, and the food was very salty, with a weird taste and smell. My partner couldn’t even finish his dish, mentioning that it tasted like they cooked the chicken yesterday and microwaved it today. Service was good. And their general design and atmosphere is good.

Diner Review №93

My go to restaurant as a vegetarian. Lots of options on the menu and good atmosphere.

Diner Review №94

One of the BEST Thai restaurants I’ve ever gotten food from. Each dish that I’ve gotten (the ones with chicken specifically) is ALWAYS perfection, and I’m usually very picky with chicken that I don’t cook myself. 10000/10, will be my go to Thai place as long as I’m in the area!

Diner Review №99

Food is great. ...A little overpriced, but what isn't.

This place sustained me during Covid lockdown and been ordering ever since. Maybe, I'll actually Dine-In one of these days.

Diner Review №106

Service was good and the atmosphere really nice. Prices were fair but food was not authentic or tasty. I got friend tofu but was not crispy at all and the sauce was bland. My husband got a “spicy pork” that was very white and not very spicy. There are several places in the columbia pike with way better flavor if you are looking for good Thai food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a T.H.A.I Shirlington restaurant and I cannot stop raving about their Green Curry Chicken. It was an unforgettable culinary experience! The flavors were simply divine, with the perfect balance of spices and creaminess. The tender chicken pieces combined with the aromatic green curry paste created a burst of delightful flavors in every mouthful.

The dish was beautifully presented with vibrant green curry sauce garnished with fresh basil leaves. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied. The fragrance of the dish was irresistible, making it even more appetizing.

What impressed me the most was the attention to detail in the preparation of the dish. The chicken was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and juicy. The vegetables in the curry were fresh and crisp, contributing to the overall wonderful texture. The flavors were complex and well-balanced, creating a harmonious blend that left a lasting impression.

The service at the THAI Shirlington restaurant was exceptional as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to answer my questions and make recommendations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, contributing to an enjoyable overall dining experience.

I highly recommend trying the Green Curry Chicken at this T.H.A.I Shirlington. It exceeded all my expectations in terms of taste, presentation, and service. If you're a fan of Thai cuisine or looking to try something new, this is an absolute must-try dish. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

I hope this review captures the excellence of the Green Curry Chicken and encourages others to give it a try!

Diner Review №140

Food was horrible. Lunch combo Chicken Pad Thai was what I ordered.
The Chicken had a old rubbery taste like it was leftovers from the night before. We all ordered and the waitress brought everyone's food except for mine. So as far as the service I give it a zero.

Diner Review №142

The best Thai food in Arlington . Love it .

Diner Review №143

One of the best places for fried rice in Arlington, they do an excellent job with it.

Their regular bartender is also excellent. Very personable, and happy to explain the menu. Their drinks are on the sweet side, but the ones I've tried are great (honey old fashioned, Pina colada + 151, and a couple more).

Pricing is on par with shirlington, and actually slightly less than surrounding resteraunts.

I come here often and the food is very good, I prefer a more authentic style, but this is very quite good for the market they are serving, and they do a fine job of keeping plenty of Thai roots in their dishes.

Finally, resteraunt ownership is a difficult business, but the ownership should be proud here. The food is consistently great; the bartender is understated, but excellent; and they've done a fine job with the atmosphere.

We went out to celebrate my fiancés dinner and had such a great time. Always such friendly service and high quality dishes to choose from. The beers and specialty drinks were great too.

Never knew Thai food was so good until I ate here. Wish we lived closer.

♿️ READ THIS! Written for & by disabled people!) They do offer disabled parking out front it’s about 1/2 a block away from the entrance. Their front door is manual and does not offer a button for wheelchair users. Seating is close to the entrance and they offer a bench to sit and wait if there is a wait. The bathroom is heavily fragranced- do not use if you have fragrance allergies.
⭐️Pro tip: order their $13 lunch special!!

Love love love this place! Delicious food, outstanding service! Could not recommend more!

This food is AMAZING!!! Tyreek was our server & everything he suggested we tried. Ended up eating here back to back.

Diner Review №162

As soon as we received our check, we were asked to give up our table for another party waiting, not by our waiter who was absolutely fantastic but by another waiter (perhaps the manger) that had no other interactions with us. The manner in which we were asked was rude and inconsiderate. This ruined our entire experience. We felt like guests that overstayed their welcome and what makes it worse, there were other tables that were occupied much longer. This wasn’t our first dine in experience, but it will be our last.

A lovely Thia restaurant in the same center as the Signature Theater and the AMC movie theater. The atmosphere was beautiful. I highly recommend the cocktails, the lavender cocktail pictured was wonderfully balanced.

I was looking for some Thai food in northern Virginia and ordered Thai in shirlington for takeout. I ordered drunken noodles. When I went home to enjoy my meal I noticed long pieces of black hair in my food. When I called I spoke to the restaurant manager and she refused to take any accountability, was dismissive, accused it of being mine…. I’m bald. I’m absolutely disgusted…

Diner Review №166

I checked lunch due to the time of my pickup, but requested dinner portion; based on the amount I received I’m sure I was given the lunch portion but paid for dinner. Also, I asked for no onions in the fried rice, instead I got extra onions (white and green). First time at this restaurant, last time at this restaurant. Dined at a restaurant across the street with family and thought I would give this place a try for take out. My fault for not checking the onions before I left. In the future, I’ll go back to the Thai restaurant on S Van Dorn even though it’s a little out of the way.

Our server taught us about different spices. They were pretty busy so I appreciated how she built time for that without missing a beat with other tables. They got my food to be VERY spicy.... Definitely satisfied 😌

Diner Review №169

The food was great. The service was awful. We were barely attended to and then when it was closing time we were essentially told to leave. Hard pill to swallow after dropping 100 bucks. We won't be back. Close earlier or stay home if you don't want to work! My advice - Bangkok 54! They never treated us this way.

Pineapple rice is my favorite

Diner Review №171

My favorite Thai place around. I could eat the chicken basil every day.

Still great, and still my favorite Thai place. Everything I've tried on the menu has been fantastic.

First time eating at this place and it was pretty good. They give extremely good portions.

Diner Review №178

The food is some of the best Thai ive ever had. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is so nice and fancy. It is overall an all around enjoyable experience.
The pad Thai chicken is tasty. The green curry chicken is also tasty if a little spicy. We liked the crispy spring rolls better than the summer rolls. The Thai teas are amazing!
For desert the banana bread pudding is tasty and the mango sticky rice is ok

I’m so excited that I had the pleasure of dining at this great restaurant. Everyone was kind and attentive and the food was amazing ♥️

Diner Review №181

Service was slow food was below average

Diner Review №182

My wife and I decided to try this place. A premium location and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food doesn’t match the front. How can I be nice… it’s as if someone called a Thai relative and asked how to make something and they got cut off mid sentence. The drunken noodle shrimp was okay, no spice but some basil leaves and a good amount of shrimp. The spicy eggplant w steamed rice, don’t waste your time. I recommend it at other Thai and Chinese restaurants but not here. No flavor. There is a bitterness that permeates several dishes: wonton soup, spicy eggplant and grilled beef salad. I can’t identify it but it’s there. I’d try this place again for convenience but none of these dishes.

Diner Review №183

Food was tasty but was not hot at all when it came out

Diner Review №184

Venue isn’t clean enough, they need to do a better job at cleaning the tables and floors and every corner ! I can only imagine how the kitchen looks like! Food isn’t that great very basic nothing special about it

Diner Review №185

Limited selections post covid, some of our favorites gone. Too much fish sauce on the Pad thai. Appetizers were great. Did not feel rushed

Diner Review №188

Enjoyed dinner here! The speed of food coming out is perfect, the service was nice, really liked our drunken noodles with 1🌶️ (looks strange, but taste 🔥)

Diner Review №189

Best Drunken Noodles! Great portion side. I could eat a lighter portion and save some for the next day - but it is too delicious so I just eat it all.
I love the thick noodles and yummy sauce. Good chicken pieces.

Diner Review №190

- food was good, everything seemed fresh.

- staff were nice.

- service was average.

- prices normal for the area.

- parking can be hard depending on the time of day.

- it was a more quiet place which is nice.

- overall a good first experience.

Diner Review №191

Decided to give this place a try. Was pleasantly surprised at the food, the service, and the price! The servers were the most friendly and attentive that I've ever experienced in a long time. The food was amazing. I got the lunch special noodles, and they were just a teeny bit too salty for me but was still very delicious. Loved the summer rolls. They have lots of vegetarian options as well. Will definitely return!

Diner Review №192

Service is polite, pleasant, and efficient. Food is fantastic! I hadn't been to T.H.A.I. Shirlington in a long time simply because I don't live nearby anymore. I'm very glad my friend and I decided to meet there for a belated birthday dinner!

Diner Review №194

Delicious! Best Thai food I've found in Alexandria so far!

Diner Review №195

Ordering pick-up? Good luck. When the order is correct, the food is great. When it's not (late, wrong item), management won't make it right.

Their system is down? It's okay, they will take the order anyway and expect you to wait 40 minutes in the tiny lobby. They can't be bothered to let you know of any delays.

Incorrect order? They will fix it... but even if you used Door Dash, they expect you to now come pick it up.

Good luck with your order!

Diner Review №196

I love the food and the staffs and very professional manager.

Diner Review №197

Diner Review №198

I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. Hosts were rude and kept giving inaccurate wait times and seating others before those of us who were there first. Us and two other families ended up walking out. This family owned business is the worst. No customer service skills at all. I would not recommend eating here.

Diner Review №199

Went here for a date night on a Monday. Nice small crowd. Has a very subdued chill atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly. We got the popcorn shrimp to share and I got the sirloin fried rice. All the food was delicious!

Diner Review №200

Reviews are misleading, this place is average at best. We ordered green curry with tofu and BBQ salmon. Green curry was goopy and cold with raw vegetables, mostly coconut milk and very sweet a despite having three chiles on the menu. BBQ salmon was better but very bland also quite cold when it came out. Definitely does not meet the standard of the other Thai places in the dmv.
