I got delivery. The chicken wasn't cooked enough, so I had to cook it myself bc I didn't feel like spending the evening in the emergency room.
I also asked for extra peanut sauce. I even said they could charge for it. Oh well. Everyone liked the soup, dumplings, crispy shrimp and Thai-style rice. I liked the basil rice, but it was very spicy, so no one else could eat it - yay - more for me!
This is my little neighborhood place that I've frequented for years but never reviewed. Every month or two, I get a hankering for Thai, and this place hits the spot every time. It might not be the very best Thai you ever have, but it has a special place in my heart. The food here is very consistent and you know exactly what you're getting. It's a family run, no gimmicks business and the staff have always been prompt and nice. There's limited seating indoors, and admittedly I've never eaten inside, but the decor is cute. I always order to go so I can eat in my pajamas with a good movie or show on at home - perfect Friday night after a hard week.
The portion sizes are excellent, more than your typical Thai places, and everything is flavorful. My orders are usually either the Thai or green curry fried rice, drunken noodles, or pad Thai. All of them are delicious. I usually get level two or three spicy. I can handle spice, but level four and up will give you spice high and a ton of heartburn. I recommend level one spicy for most people. My go to dessert here is mango with sticky rice and it always comes out perfect. I highly recommend giving this place a chance!
Ordered a papaya salad for delivery... lord have mercy... I haven't tasted Thai spicy like this in a long time! Chugging water with tears streaming down my face right now but I want to keep eating because it's so good LOL. If you like SERIOUS heat, this place is for you! If not, I'm sure they have other delicious options for you as well. I always thought I can handle spice pretty well but I think I'll ask for less next time XD Also got mango sticky rice for dessert. The rice is a little dry/hard tbh, but still good. I recommend this place!
First time at Thai Food and got lucky to dine-in as it only has 3 tables. I assume most of their customers order carry-out. Ordered a minced chicken salad and Thai fried fried. Both super DELICIOUS π€€. Please be advised that the minced chicken salad is spicy yet super refreshing. Side of rice would go well with it.
First, staff was super nice.
So I give the stars.
But fried vegetables were not so fresh.
Most af all dumplings..I felt cold when I bite in to it.little bit warm outside only.
And fried rice..the rice balls are clustered together .so tasted not evenly.
I hope more attention to cooking.
The service was very nice. I felt welcomed and waitress helped me pick my entree. They get quite busy when they open and seems like they have lots of locals that come in. The soup came out piping hot, which was great. The dumplings that were in it were delicious. However my broth was suuuuuper sweet. Too sweet. Kinda off putting. It was almost like the chef spilled sugar in. But I will give them another try perhaps another time in something else if Iβm ever in the area but that just kind of scarred me.
I have been there client for year and was pretty disappointed today. I know prices are going up but this is a bit too much. The soup for boat noodle togo can cut in half. The cup is tiny and the soup could not even soak the noodle completely. No utensils at all packrd with my order. I ordered vermicelli noodle and they gave me completely different thing .

Not sure what happened, but the food is just not as good as before and service was slow and overwhelmed. Sadly, not recommended any longer
This place is amazing. The food is delicious and cheap - particularly the mango sticky rice :)
Fantastic. No notes. π₯
Very friendly, food & service was great. This will be our new Thai place!
Great place, I have been indulging in their cuisine since they opened...over a decade ago?
The name shows zero imagination but the food is terrific.
The menu gives you lots of variations for each entree.
Definitely recommend.

I grew up across from a Thai place where we got to know to know the family who owned it. Since moving to VA, this is the first time I've had something that tastes just like what I grew up eating.
Maybe it's the nostalgia, but I am so happy to have found this place!
Love the boat noodle soup here.
First and last time. Pad Thai is disgusting, noodles are sticking together. Sticky rice with mango are way too dry, no coconut milk. Drunken noodles taste ok.
I can only attest to the food which is typically great. I haven't dined it. I've been ordering takeout/delivery from here for 4-5 year...when did they open? There's been rare occasions that my wife and I weren't completely happy with the food but for the most part their product is better than most we've had in the area and they're very efficient.
Food is watery
Good food is so delicious
Everything i eat there is soooo good.
Recomended!!!
Always good food! Huge portions are a plus, especially when the food is so good.

I ordered the food to be delivered. I threw out beef dish - meat was large cut and fatty. Did not like the rest. They did give large portions but I would not order again. Sorry.
The pad Thai sea food smelt like raw fish . Umdercoole
Great place to order out from. Went in for lunch but this place has minimal seating.
I custom ordered a spicy red curry that was perfect. Sooo good!
Best Thai food in Annandale. Very authentic dishes. I get Togo here bi weekly ππ½ best Thai boat noodle soup in DMV!!!
I just had a tum yum soup and shrimp fried rice to go. Nasty!!! A complete waste of $24.27. ( price is too high, store smell like dead fish, dirty employee, bad service)!

This review isnβt of the food itself, but the manager. My wife, who is curvy, consistently ordered (past tense) food from this restaurant as we did enjoy their menu. However, upon her last visit, she was waiting for her order when the male manager came out and, in Thai which my wife speaks, said βWho let in the cow?β And βMooβ. My wife, not wanting me to make a scene, waited until we left to tell me what happened.
In short, we will not be going back and wanted to enlighten potential customers of exactly what kind of people are running Thai Food in Annandale, VA
hells of tasty, great thai tea, eat here
The food was delicious and taste authentic. As a Thai I would recommend. I'll definitely be back!
If you are looking for some good Thai food...look no further....I was searching for a Thai restaurant near my house when when I saw them online....I went there and order lunch....best decision ever...the food had so much flavor ....I had this dish called TALAL THAI which is a seafood dish that combines Scallop...Shrimps....fried fish ...squids and vegetables and what I like about them is that they gave me enough protein unlike others restaurants where they will put tons of vegetables and 1 tiny piece of fish ....please...please try it...go...go...you will love β€οΈ it
Tonight was our first time ordering here and unfortunately it will likely be the last. The food was prepared quickly and the staff were very friendly. The food itself was unfortunately mostly fried and had very few vegetables. The duck was battered and fried, the tofu was fried and very tough, and the green beans were nearly raw which made them hard to chew.
Buying 2 seafood fries rice at 11am, the rice was hard and dry.
Very good food with excellent service. Was even better when they still offered dine in. I believe itβs a take out and deliver only now, after Covid. Quality hasnβt changed. Food just taste better on site.
Good portions and good flavor but for dessert, I wanted Thai custard with sticky rice. They only do mango with sticky rice or Thai custard with onions and said I had to order both deserts to get Thai custard and sticky rice. No accommodations though they could have easily done it. Maybe different regions have different desert combos cuz most places do custard with sticky rice.
Ordered pad see ew and noodles were oily and had a weird stench. Almost like they donβt change the oil often like fast food places. Also didnβt give me a fork for my delivery order.
I love Thai, especially Pad See Ew, so we were excited to try a new place. This is easily the worst Thai Iβve ever had. The best part of pad see ew is the caramelization from cooking on the grill. They served us pale, wet, weirdly sauced meal with a pale scrambled egg on top. Worst of all, I bit into large bits of egg shell. I canβt even eat it itβs so bad.
Ordered calamari, Pad Thai w/ shrimp and Penang w/ chicken. Not sure when was the last time the oil was changed but calamari was all soggy and brown. Never had a Pad Thai I disliked until today. Way too much oil. The chicken Panang saved the day.
Low price and high quality!!! Really delicious π
Best Thai food that I've had in the area. And the most cost effective!
Excellent Thai food. If you like Thai food, you should try this place. I love it....
One of the worst pad thai I have had. It was drenched in sauce and was the only thing I can taste.
Consistently delicious Thai that is economically priced in huge portion sizes
Pad Thai was bland and the spring rolls werenβt very crispy. The staff was super nice but I wouldnβt return.
Mainly a to go place, as the interior can only comfortably squeeze about 8 people total. However, the food is amazing and fresh.
All of the individual flavors are there with every bite. I highly recommend the curries or soups, as that is what appears to be the specialty of this establishment. If I want Thai Food, I'm going to Thai Food.
My original review for this place was 5 stars. It was always exceptional. After they reopened after the shut downs, it was for pick up only. The quality, the flavors, everything, has gone down significantly. A real shame.

I wouldn't recommend this place.
Not the best thai food. Ordered last night a pad thai and i was disappointed. It was a lack of taste and very pale with soupy sauce.
Inexpensive, good sized portions, favorite Thai around!
Good food, decent prices!
My favorite Thai restaurant in the area. And the name is easy to remember.
Best Thai Food in the DMV!
Very delicious food. Many choices and spicy levels. You can ask for mild and they will make it to your liking. Pad see ew is my favorite. Perfect noodles. Tom yum and Tom ka are also very good soups. Very nice place.
Only one seat inside. Lots of great, authentic options.
I was very shocked to have received a very authentic and saucy pad Thai with the right level of spice. I never would have thought this place would serve something that checks all the boxes for me.
I will be coming back in the future.
Eh was ok very underwhelming, usually love Thai basil but this one was very watery n had bland flavor
This place used to be good. Drunken noodles were hot and delicious spring rolls. Very consistent in quality. Tonight the drunken noodles have ZERO spice. Actually they had next to no taste. Very disappointing since I rated them 5 stars 2 years ago.
I order seafood Tom yum soup, and it was very poor almost nothing of seafood only one shrimp and they even charge me a different price too expensive for what I got. Very disappointed I do not recommend this place. π‘
Im Thai and it tastes like home for boat noodles, sukhothai (tom yum) noodles, Kha Moo, Southern yellow soup, Southern Tai Pla spicy soup, and pork Klua Kling. Most important, they give A LOT (i did take home) especially Kha Moo. Can eat for 2-3 meals. Love it!
You better make sure your order is correct before the delivery guy leaves because this place constantly gets the order wrong. My wife keeps talking me into ordering from this place but Iβve had it with them. Food is Ok but itβs never the right order.
my fried rice didnβt have salt! like they completely forgot to salt the food! i was so surprised. it was takeout so i couldnβt even say anything by the time i was home with my family. the food quality is just inconsistent... iβm not sure if itβs because of covid and losing old staff? but there are much better thai spots nearby. wont be returning.
Just ordered - itβs ready before the tracker states it βreadyβ. And I specialed! Serving size is perfect for two. So fresh. Thank You!
This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I bought the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp: The food was not very fresh at all! The noodles and bean sprouts were very dry, the shrimp and chicken both seemed over-cooked and dry also! The staff seemed bored and unfriendly. I don't anticipate going there again anytime soon. I've enjoyed better quality and better tasting Thai food at restaurants in Springfield and Alexandria.
Great Food wish they would smile with their returning customers.
Looks like they have a rat or mouse problem. The styrofoam container my food was in looks like a mouse or rat chewed on it. That's disgusting.
Great food and prices. The crab fried rice is amazing
Beware of they overcharge you. Recently I ordered twice during lunch hour (before 3) but they charged me with dinner hour. The portion of the food was the same as lunch portion. They didn't tell you the total price on the phone. I didn't aware of that until I looked at the bill.
Authentic and excellent. Our family favorites are the spicy beef salad, red curry, and pineapple fried rice. But you canβt go wrong with anything on the menu. We ordered the market fish with popular sauce for dinner friends and they said it was their most favorite ever. Highly recommended :)
Great food, definitely returning again. Spicy, but I like it like that.
Favorite thai place in nova area. Spicy crispy chicken is the best.
Massaman curry is amazing - so good. I could eat a bucket of it. Drunken noodles are also good - when I order on grubhub, I ask for no chili/less spicy, but unfortunately they donβt follow the direction 2/3 of the time. So- I need to start ordering something different.
This was my first time eating here. I ordered the panang curry, spring rolls and pad thai. The food here was amazing, I really liked the panang curry. The staff was very friendly and great customer service. Because of no indoor dinning I took the food to go. I will definitely be back.
The owners are very nice but as far is the food I give the 1 star, the noodles were sticky and were not fresh, the pad thai came with a bunch of regular scramble eggs on the top with sauce very dry. The prices are on the high end almost as expensive to going to old town. I will not recommend the place for the quality nor thai originality.
Amazing food and amazing Customer service everyone is always is a good mood and giving out good energy
I really love that food and this is one of my favorite restaurants on the are, me encanta esta comida, es riquΓsima se las recomiendo!!!ππ
So good!! The food came out in a timely manner and I enjoyed every bit of it. The staff was very attentive, constantly making sure our waters were filled and taking away plates when they saw we were finished. We were a party of four and all of us ordered appetizers. Definitely will come again. I reccomend their tom mak hoong/papaya salad. Honestly some of the best I've ever had. Especially enjoyed that it didnt burn my tongue off, either
Everything is tasty.
We came in for lunch, were greeted and seated promptly. They brought us waters immediately and were great about refilling them. We got 2 orders of pad see ew, one with chicken and one veggie with tofu. The bill came to $21.20 with tax for a sit down lunch for 2 people was very reasonable. Portion sizes were good, we both had leftovers. Flavor was good, quality of noodles and chicken was above average in my opinion. The one thing that thru me a little was the egg wasn't cooked with the meal, it was added to the top at the end.
Overall the service, food, and price were all very good!
Good place for eat
This must be my new favorite Thai spot. They have a couple of very good dishes that you can't order at your regular Thai restaurant and they are GOOD.
Everything I want in Thai food: flavorful (even though salty but I like my dishes saltier than the average Joe) and spicy. Most Thai places only make it "safe" spicy for you even though you ask them to make it Thai spicy.
Once you find it, you'll keep going! And see the same other patrons there along with some of the family of the folks who run it. Pork belly, curry, Thai tea & coffee, and beef skewer app. are all wonderful! Can't go wrong with any order, though.
I went here once and the food was good.
Excellent food
Quaint interior & good value. Green wonton soup & green curry chicken was delicious.
Authentic Thai food. Reminds me of the food I had in Thailand. Papaya salad is a must try!
I need to stop ordering from here. Three times the charm and I won't order here again. It used to be very good food and very flavorful. Nowadays if you order any of the fried noodle dishes, the noodles feel like they barely touched the hot oil. The fish sauce is extra fishy because they don't even bother to cook it out and let it caramelize. I have never seen a slight char to any of the noodles. The eggs are scrambled separately and shoved on top, so they aren't cooked in the sauce at all. Veggies are mostly raw. Only good thing is the really good portions, but there's no point since you wouldn't want to eat more than a few bites anyway. Don't bother eating here, go somewhere else.
Had Drunken Noodles. A little bit oily. Otherwise good flavor.
Fresh wholesome and flavorful!
Was The best
Don't let the nondescript building (or name!) fool you, this place is fantastic. All the dishes tasted amazing, and the portions were substantial too. Very good stuff.
Very good food. Love the Satay.
Prices are good and the food is amazing. I donβt usually eat Thai food from restaurants and opt to make it myself at home but wow!! I have tried a few dishes so far and itβs so good I forget to take a picture because Iβm so busy eating and enjoying the taste. The food here is great and I have enjoyed every dish so far.
Excellent taste and portion of food
Great value for your money!! I recommend the green wonton soup. Unique presentation and wonderful flavor.
Very good Thai food and friendly staff! Not a fancy place just simple tasty!
Iβve been on the search for great Massaman curry for almost a year and a half now and itβs been a challenge in the Alexandria/D.C. area. I can say Iβve finally found a place that fits the bill. I am dubbing this my favorite Thai restaurant in Alexandria. My boyfriend got the pad Thai and loved his dish as well. He said it was one of the best Pad Thais heβs ever had and we were both happy with the portion size.
Next time Iβm craving Thai, Iβll be going here!
Good Thai food! Plentiful portions. Staff is always very nice. A gem in Annandale!
Just fine
Great food!!!!
Plenty of parking spaces. Good location. The staff are friendly. You dont have to wait for too long to be served. The Food is mouthwatering!!. Reasonable portions for the price. Clean and well maintained restaurant.
Excellent food, service, and price. We are repeat customers.
Fantastic food! Great Service! Cha is very friendly and makes us feel welcome, and remembers us even though we are new to the area! πΆπ€π
Good service, excellent food, reasonable prices.
Fantastic!!
Just delicious!
We've been here twice the first time the food was excellent the second time we were the last ones in and could tell our food had been cooked with other items overall worth going again.
Yum!
Amazing drunken noodle. Sauce was perfect and noodles and meat / veggies cooked wonderfully.
Our office had this delivered for lunch recently and it was fantastic. Best green curry I've had in a long time and the portion was far more than I expected to get for a lunch menu price. I'll be taking my wife there to check out the dine-in experience as soon as I'm able to.
Great food but bit expensive and need to focus more on the service.
Solid food and really large portions.
I had lunch but was charged at the price of dinner, 3 dollars more than I expected.
Great authentic Thai food, especially southern cuisine. Generous portion, good price and nice service. Gotta come back again for Sure!
My boyfriend and I went here on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. I was craving Thai food and he found this location in Annandale - and I'm so glad that he did! I ordered the vegetable mix with chicken and rice, and my bf got the drunken noodles with chicken. We also ordered a Tom Yum soup with shrimp and Thai iced teas which were both nice as well. Service was friendly and food came out quick - my kind of place. Next time will order the sticky Mango rice dish for dessert. Will definitely come back again!
Such a great place and the one of the best Thai food around. I love this place.
Service is always great. Food is always delicious! It's my favorite Thai place in the DMV!
Hidden gem on LRT. Easy access, friendly service, yummy flavors. The Tom kha is some of the best I've had. Will definitely be back.
Our waitress was very rude...
She asked us if we wanted water... In a very rude angry way.
Sorry if u hate your life, but dont take it out on us.
She looked very tom boy-ish. Bad spacing between teeth. Short black hair.
Hard to explain. Thai Food (what kind of a name is that, anyway?!?) is inconspicuously tucked away on a service road off Little River Turnpike in the Korean neighborhood, but serves absolutely top quality food... following the Tyler Cowen Rule. Everything is just somehow tastier, fresher, tangier than other Thai restaurants, and to make it even better, there are lots of intriguing variations on the classic dishes. Hard to convey in this format! You'll just have to try it yourself. Highly recommended.
This restaurant features authentic Thai food. It is slightly pricy, but it is delicious. However, there is little seating here.
Hidden gem. Delicious food, fantastic service
Very good Thai. It's where Thai people eat. It takes just a bit of convincing to get them to make it Thai hot for Caucasian people but they will do it.
Friendly staff, great service, and excellent food in a small in assuming convenient location in Annandale. A wonderful escape from the over populated Korean restaurant scene there. I've never been disappointed with my food selection, or the generous portions. Price points are in line with the other surrounding eateries. Go give it a try!
A good spot for Thai food
Portions are huge for the price you pay
I went with a group of 6 and we all ordered different dishes and tried each others food. Everything was really delicious
I would recommend going to this place
Good food is better with company
Food is great, but dirty and below average service. The carpet in the restaurant was too sticky to even walk around. The table and chairs were sticky for some reason too.
