Traditional, hearty Thai dishes are presented in a warm dining room at this low-key outfit.
This is yet another good Thai place in the valley.
I ordered the Pad Thai, spice level 3, mixed meat. This Pad Thai stands out in that the noodles are darker in color. Besides that, it was cooked well and possessed quite a bit of semi-sweet flavor!
The cream cheese dumplings here were also very good! They were very crispy and had a nice soft interior.
However, the spice levels offered here are whitewashed compared to other Thai places I have had (Nuan's Thai kitchen & Tea Rose Diner to name a couple). Spice level 3 out of 5 here was enough for me to feel the heat and peppery flavors a little bit, but not nearly enough to burn my mouth. At Tea Rose, you can see the difference in color when one goes up to spice level 2 from 1, let alone level 3. Level 3 at that place is mace for the mouth!
All that said, Thai Delight is still very much a Delight, but not my first pick for Thai food.
This is the second time I've been to this little restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for Thai food. This restaurant is not too far from my house and Taylorsville so it's convenient.
Food: I had the Thai delight beef stir fry. It was quite good, seasoned the way I like it. It came with white rice and egg drop soup. Highly recommended, but there are many other items on the menu that I've never tried.
Service: there was only two staff visible, but there were only two parties in the restaurant counting us. Service was quick tentative, and very very polite.
Atmosphere: It's small, cozy, and clean. The restrooms were clean. The decor is simple but elegant.
The atmosphere here was beautiful and reminiscent of Thailand. The food was also really tasty. I had the yellow curry at a level 2 spice. It was creamy and good, but I think the spices drowned out the yummy coconutty flavor just a little bit. Maybe a level 1 spice would have been better. I also wish they would give more rice as it doesn't cover all of the soup. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. Will definitely be back to try more of their delicious food!
This is genuinely some of the best cooking I’ve ever had. The staff are wonderful and the owners are some of the kindest people I’ve known. You will genuinely have a wonderful time with the food here and it’s wonderful to support a local family owned restaurant here. Nothing but positive comments towards this place.
Prepare to be amazed! This place is so fantastic that it practically serves you food on a red carpet. The service is so warm and welcoming; they might as well be your new best friends. It's insane that I've driven by this culinary paradise so often without stopping. Time to rectify that and become their regular groupie.
Their Pad Thai is like a flavor explosion that'll make your taste buds dance the cha-cha, and the fresh spring rolls are so good they'll make you question all your life choices up until now. To top it off, their mango and sweet rice dessert is like the grand finale of a spectacular food show.
Seriously, drop everything and go here now. Your mouth will throw a standing ovation, and your stomach will write a thank-you note
Our family has visited this remarkable restaurant for years. Others we've tried don't compare. Looking forward to another year of delicious Thai food. Oh, they now serve Pho as well. Happy new year!
Yummy soup!!
It wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't my favorite thai place either.
Excellent food and prices.. highly recommend

Delicious, fast and friendly service, and good portion size. We will definitely be back!
Food was so good! We got the pho, yellow curry, and curry puffs. Delicious and staff was very nice
Great food..
You guys I love Thai food, and this place is #1!!!
Our family has visited this remarkable restaurant for years. Others we've tried don't compare. Looking forward to another year of delicious Thai food. Oh, they now serve Pho as well. Happy new year!
I just stepped out of this worst place .. we ordered few dishes and most of the dishes ( Tom kha coconut soup, green curry , are very salty .. May be more vinegar or salt . We told the server that it is salty and she said that they are making the same receptor for the last 21 years and they can’t do anything . Very poor . We drove all the way from sandy for having this horrible food …
everything was too salty and waiter was rude. worst thai place i’ve been to.
I eat here often. Food is great. Never crowded
My absolute favorite thai place. I recommend the basil stir fry, spring rolls, pad thai and la nai. The staff is fast and some of thenmost authentic thai food at the best price for the amount you get.
We ordered a fairly small to-go order and didn't feel the need to tip. Next day it shows they gave themselves an $18 dollar tip on my debit. Theives!

Might be my new favorite Thai place in the whole valley. Yellow curry was fantastic. Coconut soup was amazing too. Will definitely come back
The assorted appetizer plate was delicious! We also tried the massaging curry with shrimp and the pad kee mao. They were both well prepared and we really enjoyed everything we had. Would highly recommend!
Best massaman curry in the valley!!
Food was really amazing. We all loved it.
This place has the best yellow curry!!
Small little restaurant in a strip mall. Service was very good. Curry and pad Thai were excellent.
Would definitely recommend. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly.
Updated 9/20/2024
Again. Flies. Good grief. We were swatting them away every 10 seconds. Grrrrrrr.
But the food was LIT. Loved it. Tom Kha Gai was SOOOOOO TASTY. Presentation was pretty awesome as well.
Great food and service. Only drawback was an open front door that seemed to invite the occasional fly. Annoying but the food made up for it. Portion size was large.
I went yesterday and it was fantastic! Definitely will be back! 🤤👏🏽
Great little family owned place. The yellow curry is always my go to but I have loved everything I've tried
Great food!
They closed down dine in over a half an hour before closing time. Their quality used to be amazing. We used to love their pad Thai and fried rice. Somehow I felt like their quality decreased.
The thai iced tea here is the best I’ve ever had. I usually get the massaman curry, which is fantastic. The staff are all really nice and the service is quick!
Food was amazing! Staff friendly. Not too busy
I love getting take out from here. They also have the Best vegetarian eggrolls. They also have mango sticky rice, which is something I really like. Definitely recommend going here. It’s a family owned restaurant so it’s even better.

Delicious food. Great friendly service. Great parking.
Awesome service, very polite, food was fast and delicious.
I love it here. Been coming here for years and I’ve never been let down by the service here
Love love their curries!
Everything on the menu is delicious.
I love this place there is a family atmosphere the food is so good. I love their chicken noodle and their Four Seasons
First time trying Thai Food at a restaurant, did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. Also great service.
Food was delicious. Our go to thai place.
Great food, great service, every time!
Good Thai food for reasonable price.
Food is exquisite. Recommend the Tom Kha Gai and yellow curry puff dumplings. Industrial area, yet atmosphere is lovely inside.
This place is great. I wasn't expecting much when I stopped in here for some Pad Thai. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised when I tried my amazing Pad Thai meal. Do yourself a favor and get some Thai food from Thai Delight. Prices are very reasonable as well.
Simply the best. I've been coming here since I was 5 years old and I'll be coming here until the day I die. Amazing food, awesome people, excellent service.
My second favorite Thai place next to Tuk Tuks. I really enjoyed the Tom Kha and sticky mango rice. I found the chicken satay to be dry (but the dipping sauce with veggies and vinegar was AMAZING!!!) and the pad Thai to be just okay.
Will absolutely frequent this place and hopefully find more dishes we LOVE!
Good menu, but most of our food was overcooked. For example, the chicken satay was hard.
Best Thai food.

Unfortunately they don't offer vegan options for their curry.
This is a hard one, we have really enjoyed our experiences here over the years. On the last two visits the quality of food has not been the same quality. We had egg rools that were good but the chicken satay was extremely bland. The noodle bowl had very little flavor and the beef salad was our least favorite dish. I don't know what is going on there but I really hope they can fix it soon.
First time trying Thai food and decided to try this place out, was not even near disappointed. So good. Definitely would go back and recommend.
Been coming here for as long as I can remember. This is probably my top pick for Thai food in Utah. Things changed up a little with an ownership change but they still seem to be using the same recipes and food is mostly the same! Hard to beat this spot.
First time ever going here. The food was really good. Our friends introduced us to the restaurant and we are glad they did.
Simply the best Thai food 😋
We love taking our food to go from here, but when we've dined in we've had great experiences, too. They're hard workers, they give great service, and their food is top notch. Try their panang curry!
The service was great, very kind people, seems like a good work environment. Possibly family run.
Positive points on food - the white rice was among the best I've had.
Negative points on food - on the food alone I give 2 stars. The orange chicken was some of the worst we've had of any style. If I took a big spoonful of orange kool-aid mix and put it in a half a cup of cocanut oil, then took a giant spoon full of MSG and put it in the sauce, it would have a similar flavor. In the sauce I first tasted the overwhelming orange flavor, very artificial tasting almost like they use pure citric acid. Very strong. And very orange. Food coloring orange. And the umami contrast created kind of a love hate relationship for the first half of the meal. The second half, I wasn't loving it anymore. It wasn't cute, my taste buds were telling me to stop eating the orange sauce. I was detecting too much of a strong chemically almost effervescent level of umami flavor. The sauce took your my breath away. Except for the rice, both my partner and I negatively received the orange chicken sauce. We may be in the minority with that experience, I see they have very good reviews.
But the bigger reason I'm writing this review is because about an hour after eating the food I began to have a headache, and 3 hours later I was getting a super strong dizzy spell when I change positions. I slept maybe 5 hours and woke up feeling queasy, and when I sit up everything spins for about 2 minutes. My back hurts across the middle of my ribs, and my neck is feeling tight and jaw and ear feel like someone punched my jaw. Which is where I'm laying right now feeling extremely sick. There is said to be an unexplainable syndrome, a post-consumption illness related to MSG. It's currently about 10 hours after eating the food. I will update this if something changes, but the food or an ingredient in the food seems to have made me pretty sick. I don't know why. But when I pair these symptoms with the intense level of umami flavoring in the orange sauce, I can't help but suspect MSG made me sick. The flavor of the sauce was super powerful and I can't describe the flavor, which is how umami is usually described. The flavor is kind of like a dream that you try to remember but it's gone. The peanut sauce also had a strong umami flavor, so possibly more msg but I'm unsure.
Normally if I'm sick after eating something, im gonna have a pretty negative feeling towards the place I ate the food from. In this situation, the only reason I'm not leaving 1 or 2 stars as a rating is because the place is clearly popular. And 2 of the 3 staff we interacted with were so very kind and accommodating. The one older waitress, was such a joyous and attentive person.
So, maybe it was just how I reacted to the ingredients they use. But on account of the taste of my food and my sickness, I'm starting to wonder if it's yet another restaurant using MSG as sort of a food flavor wonder-drug and people aren't realizing that it could be why the food is so flavorful. They may just be loading up the msg in everything they use. It hasn't been formally found to be dangerous, but there is a reason you see on packages and restaurants boasting the "no msg" claim. There's enough anecdotal reports around to cause hesitation.
Maybe I'm not correct, maybe this restaurant doesn't use msg at all. But when I Google symptoms of msg over-consumption, I've got half of them. So, take this for what it's worth. If you've ever gotten sick from msg, you may want to look elsewhere. I feel so sick right now.
I called in an order for a variety of items and when I arrived at the desired times it was all ready to go and I was out in no time. I wish they had an option to order online as the pressure of ordering on a phone while trying to look at the menu on my phone gets me a little each time.
The food was delicious and tasted fresh. While all of it was wonderful, the chicken wings really stole the show in my opinion. We ordered lots, ate lots, and had lots left over. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
Where do I start ....
The server ( Laos man ) with the glasses from the get you have a feeling of friendliness from him automatically making you feel as you were family. I will say I went to lunch with my sister there for my first time and my sister is just a repetitive customer but, I can honestly say that this is the first restaurant that I've been to in the state of Utah and HE was the
BESTEST BY FAR!!!!
He makes you feel as if you have been childhood friends, family, and important.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE 👍
FRIENDLY AND INVITING 👍
IMPRESSIVE 👍
Even if the food was bad the customer service was on point!
Besides that ...
I had ordered the Sesame chicken and I will say it was DELISH!!!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK 👍👌
I WILL BE A RETURN CUSTOMER FOR SURE!!!!
The good was great. The service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend trying if you like Thai food.
Love this little restaurant
Family owned
This a really solid Thai restaurant. Very friendly staff and good food!
Discovered this little gem about a month ago, every dish I’ve tried has been amazing. Especially all the different curry dishes my absolute favorite! I’ll be a regular customer as long as this place is around ❤️
The cuisine is fantastic. I haven't had a bad dinner here yet. Mom & pop Thai and it's one of the best little secrets in West Jordan. One of our favorites. Thank me later!
Great reasonably priced spot for lunch. The fried tofu appetizer and massaman curry were delicious and service was great. They were able to accommodate a gluten free fried rice with no issues. Open on Christmas eve
We’ve eaten here for years. We’ve noticed things have been changing since new ownership though. The rice is different and the massaman tastes different, not as good. Fried egg rolls are still good but we’re so sad to see the original recipes changing.
Good Pho, but they give no jalapenos, basil, or limes with it which are all MUSTS for me. Not sure why they are being stingy with the toppings.
The food was delicious, hot and fresh, the curry is probably the best I’ve ever had. the service was great. Truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.
Thai Delight in West Jordan is a great place for lunch with co-workers, dinner with friends and family and take out for enjoying the delicious food at home!
We visited today with a group of 10 coworkers. There are multiple seating arrangements for large groups as well as more intimate seating arrangements for your more personal needs.
We tried multiple dishes as well as adding some starters. The curry puff pastry with potato are delicious! The sauce with the egg rolls is so good you could drink it! The chicken pad Thai was just the right comfort food for a cold day today. Our service was great and our server was super helpful when it came to answering all of our questions about the menu.
Our service was great and our server was super helpful when it came to answering all of our questions about the menu.
I don't like spicy, but I tried level 2 of 5 for Tom Kha Gai. It was amazing. Sweet. And came with a flame in the middle of the container. Super cool.
The pad tai was high on peanut flavor. So if you like it peanutty then this is a great place for it.
At least half our party liked the glass noodles.
We love their coconut soup as well as there Pho. The food always tastes great. Great price as well.
I love Thai Delight cafe! It is both under the radar and very popular. The food is consistently delicious and their yellow curry is some of the best I’ve had. The only downside is that they do not accept American Express.
Delightful family business. Food was spectacular. Don't forget the curry puffs.
What a fantastic find. Friends asked me to come to dinner here and I am so glad they did. It is one if my new favorite restaurants.
We had a coconut soup, it was one of the most delicious things I have ever had. Their spring rolls are incredible also.
We got plates to share which gave me the chance to try things I normally wouldn't. My favorite was Chicken Noodle and Garlic Pepper.
I loved that you can choose your spice level on everything.
My friends said I had to try the mango sicky rice for dessert. I didn't know what I had been missing my whole life but this stuff was AMAZING. Do not skip this!!
The only thing I regret was not taking pictures. I will do that next time.
One thing I want to mention is this place is owned my a family, the restaurant is clean, the service is exceptional and the obviously the food is simply out of this world!!
Excellent food. Their Pad Thai is fantastic.
Every item on the menu is amazingly full of flavor. This is a wonderful place to eat and should be on your list of places to frequent.
This place has the best Thai food in Utah.
I’m rating this solely off of the yellow curry. LOVED IT! After trying a few other Thai places around the same area I think this one is the best.
Chicken Pad Thai was delicious as well!
Best Thai food in town! Gets the max quantity of food with a perfect taste. A Must visit for everyone.
Delicious food
Service was good and fast considering that we were the only people there. We ordered 2 Pad Thai (level of spicy 3)
We got it with Shrimp, Chicken & Tofu. There were literally 2 ok Shrimp size but compared to the portion, it was noting.
Noodles were chewy. Sauce was brown and sweet (overpowering)
We ordered also Fried Chicken as appetizer for my son. Flavor was ok but it was hard md dry. I can consider myself a Pad Thai critic since every time we go out of town we always have to go to a Thai restaurant.
Last but not least, as soon as you go into the restaurant, smells like greasy food. I don’t know how to explain it. Like there is no exhaust fan.
Not bad food, kind service, and a quiet spot for a meal. The curry is better than the Pad Thai, but it was all okay. The mango sticky rice is excellent and definitely the star of the menu!
Authentic and amazingly delicious. The mango sticky rice and Papaya salad are my personal favorites. Paired with a guava drink and I'm in heaven. Will definitely be back. Not to mention Thai food is naturally gluten free which is nice for the 1% who struggles with this
The support is outstanding! They helped me feel at ease. The location looked fantastic and was immaculate. The dinner was not only excellent, but it also arrived fast and was hot!
Prepare to be amazed! This place is so fantastic that it practically serves you food on a red carpet. The service is so warm and welcoming; they might as well be your new best friends. Been eating here for about 3 years, and have never had a bad meal. We just tried their Vietnamese Pho, and 10/10 would recommend; the broth was incredible. I love their yellow curry, spring rolls, and my boys love the gyoza, and can't go wrong with the mango sticky rice if you want something sweet. A lovely hidden gem in our neighborhood.
Still the best curry i have had in all of the valley.
Best curry in town!
Really good food but the atmosphere wasn't as high class as I like.
This site is incredible! I like the surroundings, the peace, and the delicious meals.
Best Thai food around! Their curry especially tastes amazing! I've been trying to find the best curry in the valley and this place might be it!
Horrible restaurant. We called in an order and they got our order wrong. Then when I called back after I got home to figured it out the restaurant argued that I was billed for 3 items and there should have been 4. For me to come get the fried rice as was suppost to be in the order she wanted to charge. Will not be back.
All was good
The best curry in West Valley. And the people are so kind. I don’t go anywhere else for Thai food. Give them a try!
Food was OK.
HOLY YUMMY!!! I can't get enough of this place! I love their pho. The staff is so friendly and kind.
I love that they smile when I pronounce something wrong, haha. Highly recommend thier delicious food!
The worst Thai food I’ve ever eaten, but apparently most people disagree 😵💫
This place is my favorite place to get yellow curry! I recently moved out of state and haven’t been able to find anything like it since; I have to get some every time I stop by West Jordan! It’s my ultimate comfort food.
We just ate here today and might I say that the previous owners are truly missed. The previous owners (the mom, the son, the staff) treated people with kindness, respect and like family, especially if you're a regular like we are. However, the waitress today who claimed to be the owner is extremely rude, has no patience, walks away before you're done talking to her, and will speak in another language other than English to her coworker which is insulting and disrespectful in which, I told her that is very rude. She wouldn't tell me her name before she told me that she was the owner, yet the other girl who was the nicer one went to tell a male in the kitchen that I wanted to talk to the manager and the rude waitress came over and said she was the manager. I told my husband that we will no longer eat here anymore. I hope we cross paths with the previous owners again (the son moved to Las Vegas). The previous owners (the son) told us that the new owners are his cousins, but I don't know if this waitress claiming to be the owner, is his cousin because she seemed confused when I mentioned that son. The waitress also mentioned that the manager wasn't there and that she was the owner, but I have not seen this girl until today. This place is really a gem, but I don't like this waitress. Her customer service ruined it for me. Should you try it out, I hope you have a better experience and the food is really good! The waitress spoke in a foreign language because she thought it was about me having to pay extra money for the curry puff and egg roll sauces that I declined to purchase when we just spent $136 there. Plus she added an 18% gratuity to our party of 5 which has never happened to us before. I told my husband when there's new management there's new rules. She tried to defend herself for why she walked away from us 2 times, but I didn't care to hear her excuses.
The yellow curry is the best curry I've ever had anywhere.
Was awesome as usual. Cream cheese wontons were delish. The soup they bring out before your meal is spicy hot. But very good. I love all their food . And service is always sweet and accommodating.
Not the best, but ok. Will try different place next time.
Very dingy dining area with unkept bathrooms. Prices are a little high for Thai dishes. Average at best flavor and dish prep (curry). Service was great.
Authentic Thai. Excellent food, with that vibe where you know it's gonna be good food because they don't mess around with aesthetic. 🙂🙃
Quick meal before leaving town, and was a great, hole-in-the-wall choice.
I was introduced to this place through a friend, and I'm glad she did. It's kind of a hidden gem and has excellent food! I can't get enough of the Gyoza and have to try new things every time I come because everything is good. You can go to finer dining places like Baan Thai, but this place is every bit as good, if not better, and for half the cost.
Fantastic food
Ate here recently. The food was good as usual. I would say the price and the food cannot be beaten. That is why I come here. However, this time my experience was sour. The new or current waitress does not listen carefully on questions about food or in general. She shows her frustrations easily which was frustrating to me as well. Probably will wait a while before going back here.
The curry dishes are absolute fire. This place knows how to cook. The bad reviews are probably from people who are too lazy to cook and just love to be critics. Trust me, the curry is bussin’ and the workers are very friendly!
Something about the curry from this place just hits the spot every time. The service here is pretty decent. Kind people. Respectable.
Fried rice was good ….but chicken satay was just not good don’t even think of trying it. So bland and chicken was not fresh
I love Thai delight! I only wish that they would deliver or delver through a system like doordash. :( Their yellow curry is my favorite!!
I love this restaurant and everything about it.
Thai Delight Cafe used to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the valley. After ownership changes, I am disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. The dishes I ordered were not up to par and could use some improvement.
Man, this was great Thai. Will be going back
Amazing food! Delicious as always!
Fantastic food and the hospitality is unmatched! Ive recommended this place to all of my friends and look forward to every time I go
I had the red duck curry. I understand duck is a fatty meat but unfortunately it was to the point that my meal wasn't at all enjoyable. Haven't tried anything else on the menu so take my opinion on the restaurant as a whole with a grain of salt. That being said I would highly recommend you avoid the duck curry as its one of the most expensive options and is dissapointing at best.
I’ve loved this place for years. It WAS the best Thai food in the valley.
It has changed hands and the food is TERRIBLE.
The Thom Ka Gai was too salty, did not have straw mushrooms any more. The chicken in it was nasty little bits with gristle and fat gobs, not the nice breast meat it was before.
The Larb was extremely salty and inedible. The Thai tea was overly sweet and tasted very artificial. I was deeply disappointed. Nowhere else used to compare and now it’s disgusting. I’m very sad. If I could give it no stars I would.
I've been eating here for several years. Has always been excellent!! If you want Thai in the Salt Lake valley, Thai Delight is worth finding and visiting!! You'll thank me.
This place is amazing! I enjoy the environment, quietnesses and tasty food.
Some complain about the customer service but in the Thai culture they serve you and leave you alone to enjoy your food, some people expect them to be at their table constantly which is disrespectful to the culture.
You think fried rice would be something simple to make for any Asian restaurant, But this is the only place I know that makes pretty good and decent fried rice. I've tried so many other spots and it's just not good. I have to drive all the way from N. Salt Lake just to get some decent fried rice lol.
Hidden gem. Very good food!
This might be my new favorite Thai food place
The food was terrific!! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The only "complaint" related to our "takeout" order is that when I got around to breaking down the bill for each of the four couples in our group after we ate, I discovered that the prices on the pdf "View menu" (which some of our group ordered from) are lower than the ones you see if you just scroll down the website (and those are the prices that appeared on our bil)l. Obviously, the pdf needs to be updated to show the current, accurate prices.
Food is great and friendly staff. The interior could use an update but aside from that great place
The food is delicious, I love the curry puffs and the Tom Kha soup. My only issue is the last few times I’ve ordered the soup I request a spice level of 1 (2 if I’m feeling brave cause I’m a big baby) and I get it home and it’s a 4 or 5 which makes it inedible for my crybaby taste buds.
If you like Thai and/or Asian food and are looking to step your flavor experience up a notch, you've got to try this place. All of the food is excellent and the service is very friendly. The feeling I get when eating this food is nothing short of happiness. If you want a personal recommendation of mine, I highly recommend the Tom Kha Gai soup poured over rice. Trust me, it is divine.
Take your family here, take your significant other on a date here, or if you simply want to treat yourself, elevate your day with some Thai Delight.
Great food, great service 👍
We have been going here for years. Nice family owned and run business.
I scour the State of Utah looking for authentic Thai. If you are looking for the real thing, go eat here. The depth of flavors is amazing in all dishes and they actually add heat regardless if Utahns want it or not. 😅
Thai Delight’s curry is so delicious! They are always so polite and it’s never too busy. I go so much that they know my order before I even tell them; that’s how considerate and genuine they are to their costumers! If you like anything Thai I would definitely recommend this place!
