I will start with the food since that is the important part. In short everything was amazing and delicious. The coconut soup was extremely good and the curry was really creamy. But if you put some rice and a little of both soups you have something out of this world.
The ambiance was good, you can feel that this is a mom and pop kind of place and I love it. The service was done by Vien and she was really nice. This place definitely checked all the boxes and I will be going back again.

My best friend has always raved about this place, and now I know why. We went in for a quick lunch today. Everything was very clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. We had the Pad Thai with potstickers and cream cheese wonton. All of it was so fresh and hot when brought to the table. Will definitely be back!

We swung by here for a quick dinner the other night as the place had about 10 tables full with one waitress. God bless her as she was attentive to us while she was zipping around.

We started off with the Spring Rolls with Shrimp that was good and fresh.

Then I had my main course of Pad See Ew Beef with a medium spice. While it was good and the Beef was not dry (sometimes it is in this dish, sometimes it’s not) I didn’t care for the Egg Noodles which were a bit on the thinner side. I like a thicker noodle for this dish as I’ve had it 100’s of times and this was the 1at time I had a thinner noodle.

It’s a strip mall on the smaller side and parking can be scarce.

Next time I’d like to try their curry as it did look good.

Are you looking for the best Thai and Pho in the valley? I was and I found it. I had #16 pho, some of my date's coconut soup and a mango sticky rice to cap it off. Dream was a great server! Do yourself a favor; enjoy some New Thai today!

The reason for the low rating is because we ended up getting sick from our food.

Our order:

2x Pineapple Fried Rice
1x Chicken Laab/Larb
1x Veggie Pho

Pineapple Fried rice was the only dish both myself and my significant other ate. It was okay. Not a ton of flavor, and the chicken was rubbery. Pineapple tasted fresh and there were decent amounts of large chunks throughout which is something I look for. Didn't see much of anything other than rice, pineapple, cashews and raisins in the dish. We both started feeling sick after eating this later that night, and are still sick today as I'm writing this review.

The Chicken Laab/Larb I had one bite of and threw the rest out. This is because the ground chicken (I assume) had an undertone taste of old fish, like it was stored around/next to fish in the freezer, and/or cooked in a wok/pan that just had fish in it. Either way, it didn't taste right and I dislike fish, which is why I ordered chicken. Even if I liked seafood/fish, this would be concerning as chicken should not taste like fish.

The Chicken Laab/Larb was served with a side of sticky rice in a separate styrofoam container. The sticky rice was so old and sat out so long, that it had a thin layer of hardened yellowish rice on top, and it had a flavor almost akin to cigarette smoke. On top of that, it was VERY chewy inside underneath the top crunchy layer, unlike any sticky rice I've ever had. It was DISGUSTING.

The Veggie Pho unfortunately we did not try and threw away, because of all the other problems with the food mentioned above.

I called after trying the Laab and they said they'd issue a refund for that as it was the only thing we'd had so far with a problem, and I didn't want to wait until we'd eaten a bunch of the food to submit a complaint.

I would not recommend this restaurant based off of our experience, and we will not be returning.

Best Thai in Utah. Plain and simple. They have all the dishes you expect, the batter on the Orange chicken is a delicate thing to make. There is love in it. Very affordable for the fact it's so good. Delicious fresh spring rolls

We've ordered take-out for large groups and I've been there with just my wife. The service and quality are always great.

I tried this place for the first time a little over a month ago and I’m not exaggerating when I say, I came back twice that same week and almost once every other week since.

I have had their spring rolls, phõ, and red curry. All 3 were UNBELIEVABLE! Their protein is so fresh and high quality (I’m weird about meat.) Their phõ broth is unreal. They have a lunch special that is so cheap and comes with SO much food. I always have leftovers.

So so yummy. In addition to that, the staff is so kind! I’ve been to so many Thai restaurants and this is my new favorite.

This restaurant didn’t have good food or service. I spent $70 on this dinner and I was super dissatisfied. Our egg rolls were stale, our curries were watery and didn’t taste like much. I don’t love leaving bad reviews but this was all around terrible. The service was not great, but I can credit that to being busy but the food was just awful.

I have been eating at New Thai Cafe for many years and I've always loved it. I believe it's the best Thai food in Utah. I've introduced many people to this restaurant - family, friends, business associates - and all have enjoyed it. Lynn is so friendly and remembers her regular customers' names and favorite dishes. I could eat here every night! You owe it to yourself to try it. I'm confident you'll be writing your own 5-star review soon!

We came in with only 20 minutes to spare before closing and they were very polite and accommodating. We ordered our food to go - they’re were very quick to get it ready for us.
I always get Tom Kha (with no meat / with tofu) and rice when I eat Thai. This one is definitely up there in the favorites.
My husband got pot stickers and a yellow curry rice dish and loved them.

Ordered take out at the desk and it only took 10 minutes for a 6 entree meal to be finished. Super yummy!

Not only is their yellow curry to die for but their customer service is also so amazing. This restaurant outshines any others, we always just come in for takeout orders and me and my husband always leave with smiles on our faces.

The food was really good. My kids loved the pork strips on the Vietnamese plate we got, and my stir fry was delish. The waiters were very polite and friendly, and the bead decorations on the walls were really cool. My twos boys were already planning our next trip to eat there as we were leaving, which honestly kind of surprised me (they normally always want to go to Carl's Jr), but we're excited to go again and try something else.

We have LOVED everything we have had here. Their red curry, red pineapple curry, beef pad kee meow, green papaya salad, green curry, panaang curry, pad king, the list goes on and on! I highly highly recommend it! And the prices are amazing too IMHO!

Come to the restaurant today. Stand at the sign “wait to be seat” for 15 minutes. There are 2 little girl going around and no help from the restaurant.

Loved my experience here tonight. The service was fast, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The overall restaurant is nice on the inside and very clean. I think this might be the best peanut sauce I've had in the salt lake valley. The Thai tea is also probably the best deal in the valley, besides making it at home. But, who wants to do that? My only gripe was that some of the food items (potatoes, mangoes) were cut a bit too big. Great portions, great price, great people, great place. Will be coming here again.

3 of us in my party got to the restaurant at 7:58pm and the asian lady/employee told us they could only do take-out when we wanted to be seated. I asked her if they closed at 8:30pm. She said yes. We were annoyed that they would only do take-out when there was a full 30+ mins left of the restaurant being open.
I Hate stores/restaurants that say they close at a certain time, but you drive all the way there and they say they're closing or can't seat you, when it's not even time yet. Employees need to start closing/cleaning up AFTER the closing time. Rude and horrible customer service!

Went here yesterday, and I have to say this is a hidden gem and one of the best Thai restaurants in the valley.

I had the fried egg rolls, chicken satay, beef larb, meeh leaung khop lard nah (57), and Thai iced tea.

The fried egg rolls were standard and delicious. More of a spring roll type wrapper, and the filling and dipping sauce were delicious. The chicken satay was some of the best I've ever had at a Thai restaurant. Perfect cook and the peanut sauce was great. The Thai iced tea was delicious as well.

The beef larb was very good and well balanced. Larb is one of my favorite Thai dishes, and I will say their style of larb leans more toward a waterfall salad than some other Thai places where the meat and veggies are more mixed with toasted rice. Still, it was great.

The meeh leaung khop lard nah (57) was perfectly cooked. I had it with chicken, and the fried crispy noodles balanced the thin gravy sauce very well.

The service was great. The one hostess their was very attentive and checked in often. I didn't experience any of the issues some previous commenters said, but I also went a bit early for dinner when it was more quiet. The cleanliness was immaculate.

Overall, this is a must-visit place if you like Thai food!

Be aware that this place will automatically add to your check a generous tip when your party is 5 or more. We were 6. Two in my party were little kids that shared one plate. They should communicate the service charge to the guest at the beginning of the service since it is a requirement set by the restaurant, and not optional as with standard tipping.

I was surprised how good it was for being in a mall. Got the Pad see ew. Give it 3.5 stars. A little too salty. The massaman was great!!! The Penang was good. Weird they put peas. The 'brown' rice was purple rice. But still good! My friend got the Thai tea and loved it! And great service!!

Five stars for food and cleanliness, one star for customer service.
Our server was very pleasant but should choose another line of work. We had to ask for water, and after ordering, I had to go over to her several times to make sure we were getting the heat/spicy level we wanted, noodles or rice, to go boxes, chop sticks…..it was truly some of the worst waitressing I’ve ever experienced.
BUT, the food was fresh and very delicious. We will go back but be prepared to wait on ourselves!

The sauces were very sweet (I added a bit of soy tone that down) l, though I asked for a 3 on the spicy scale it was bland (I had pad Thai with beef) and though I ordered peanut sauce, I had to 'reorder' it when the food arrived. I'd likely pass if I were up this way again and try a new/another place.
