The coconut soup was so goooood 😍

Diner Review №2

A few people I work with recommended this place and I finally tried it with my mom and sister. It's a small place, set up with nice table cloths and lovely decor. We each ordered something different from the menu and we enjoyed everything we tried. We ordered the Oyster Beef, Panag Curry and Pad See Ew, brown and white rice were served with the Oyster Beef and Curry. Between the three of us, we shared everything and we were stuffed! Definitely will be coming back, I noticed their lunch prices are great!

Diner Review №3

Green curry was excellent. Service was fast. But it's no longer Bangkok Terrace.

Diner Review №4

Google says they are open 5-10pm Saturdays but we showed up and everything is closed and dark not even sure if we're at the right place since there's a Sawadee sign above it

Diner Review №5

Finally re-opened under a new name with the same menu! So happy to have it back as a lunch option. Pad See Ew is my go to and very yummy and filling!

Diner Review №6

Delicious food, wonderful service, and very affordable lunch time options for what you get. One of my favorite lunch restaurants downtown.

Diner Review №7

Go for lunch or dinner to enjoy the Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao), Spicy Thai Fried Rice, and Pad See Ew! Order it spicy if you enjoy that, and you won’t be disappointed - dine in or take out.

Diner Review №8

This was great! We loved it!

Diner Review №9

One of my favorite spots in SLC. Never had a bad time here. Everything is delicious. Get the mango sticky rice.

Diner Review №10

Diner Review №11

Excellent dishes, service and location ok.

Diner Review №12

I would leave 0 stars if I could. My partner is vegan and this place had a sign out front that said something along the lines of, "many vegan options!" So we decided to try it. My partner asked our server about the "many" vegan options, since he saw one. Our server said everything is vegan minus the egg rolls. Which was clearly not true, as almost EVERYTHING had meat in it.

I ordered the Chicken cashew, she asks if I want vegan or regular, I say regular. My partner orders the same thing but vegan. When it comes out, he has REAL CHICKEN ON HIS PLATE. We send it back and ask for tofu. He eats it. And then proceeds to be SEVERELY sick all night and through the next day.

This establishment CLEARLY does not know what vegan means. DONT EAT HERE!!

Diner Review №13

Fantastic food here!

Diner Review №14

This is the best Thai food I’ve had in the Salt Lake area. Highly recommend. The Thai Basil is delicious. And the mango sticky rice…best I’ve ever had.

Diner Review №15

Lunch special is very reasonable price. We had pad thai and manassam curry, taste great and decent portion. The server and environment is nice as well.

Diner Review №16

Great little Thai restaurant. The drunken noodles r great as well as the Thai wonton soup.

Diner Review №17

The food was nasty 🤮,it doesn’t taste like Thai food .Save yourself time and money .Go somewhere else.

Diner Review №18

Didn't enjoy our meal at all!!!

Diner Review №19

The lunch specials are fantastic. The restaurant is located in a quiet location and we were seated quickly and the service was good. The food had great flavor and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal.

Diner Review №20

So we have eaten here before, but this time was nothing like many of the other reviews. We waited 15 minutes to get waters and order. Then it took another 25 minutes to get only one of our two dishes. Others that came in well after us got their food before us and finally when the second dish came out, it was pad thai and not panang. By the time they realized their mistake our lunch hour was basically over from waiting for so long so we left one of us hungry. Horrible and honestly even after eating there so many times in the past, I will not go back again.

Diner Review №21

There was only 3 customers and still the service was slow. The server kept apologizing for the slow service. The fish cake appetizer smelled burnt when it came out and was quite chewy. The red curry was good.

Diner Review №22

Truly enjoyed our Valentine dinner date here. We got the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. Both had excellent flavor and presentation. The service was spot on and the restaurant was quite clean. Highly recommend!!!

Diner Review №23

So good! Really great food and service. We have dined in and taken out.

Diner Review №24

Som Tom and Tofu 🤙🏿

Diner Review №25

Amazing Pad Thai! Will be returning for more

Diner Review №26

Amazing Food! The Cashew Nut Chicken was literally the best I’ve ever had anywhere

Diner Review №27

I loved the food and ambience!

Diner Review №28

I eat here often. Food might only be four stars (I've had better Thai a few times), but ambiance is nice and the employees are great. Service is fast. Great work lunch.

Diner Review №29

Diner Review №30

Best Thai food downtown! Thai fried rice is yummy. Closer to offices.

Diner Review №31

Had takeout of the Nam Tak salad. The flavor/preparation is right 5/5, but the price for the portion is off. Too much for too little. For a lunch, the portion is probably right, for dinner - too small. Price the same either way, so the price is just off. Sticky rice was a brick.

Diner Review №32

Fantastic food, good portion sizes, loved the outdoor dining option and the large open windows they have if you wanted to eat inside but still have fresh air. Can't wait to return to try more!

Diner Review №33

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Bangkok Terrace. Service was prompt, food was tasty, and the price was reasonable. If you’re traveling through SLC and looking for that authentic Thai taste that you might find in New York City, this is your spot!

Diner Review №34

The place was nice and clean, service was prompt and polite. Taking off a star because they accidentally made my food really spicy instead of my husbands, so my mouth was on fire because he ordered spicy. When I asked for more coconut milk they quickly got me some as well as more rice which was nice. Then when I could actually taste the food, it was so tasty! I will definitely come back, and just make sure my spice level is communicated clearly.

Diner Review №35

Realy good pad thai

Diner Review №36

The place is nice. Atmosphere is pleasant. Ordered fried calimari, Thai Pho, and a couple beef dishes.
The calamari was rubbery and unpleasant. The pho lacked the depth of flavor one would expect. In fact, garlic was the only thing we could taste. The beef dishes were passable, but a bit salty for my taste.
We complained about the pho and asked to remove it from the ticket. The hostess refused and offered to bring something else. We got a Tom Yum soup. It was also not very good.
Overall, the food was disappointing and the service is lackluster.

Diner Review №37

The food came quick, but my pad thai was chewy as if undercooked. Unfortunately, it got worse... a cockroach crawled right by my head as we ate. My husband told me to move slowly away before I realized what was happening. I got the attention of our waitress who picked it up with a napkin and apologized. She offered no discount or anything. I had maybe 5 bites of my food before this happened. We paid and left immediately. Would not reccomend. :( it was a very unpleasant experience.

Diner Review №38

It's one of the best Thai Food in SLC. I Loved it.

Diner Review №39

This place is great, fresh ingredients, tastes great. Try the green tea, it's very nice too.

Diner Review №40

It was Christmas Day, 30 minutes before closing, I do understand that, however our experience was not good.
As soon as we stepped in the only server that night rolled her eyes up and made an Ughh noise because they were getting ready to close the restaurant and wanted to go home I guess... It was so annoying.
We just wanted food to go.
Next time just change your sign to closed and problem solved.
Food was really good though...

Diner Review №41

Loved reminiscing with the woman there, who is from Chaing Mai. Food was so good, and the environment and decor is so peaceful. I loved the instrumental music they were playing.

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

El servicio de este restaurante es demasiado pésimo y demorado. No tienen la comida a tiempo, especialmente cuando se pide una orden para llevar.

Diner Review №44

I went here once in lunch and once in dinner. So far so good, tasty, affordable price, good enough portions. Our server in dinner time, too nosy, she asked too many private questions just because we're Asian. And it makes me uneasy, want to leave as soon as we ate our appetizers. She kept on coming back and ask anything else to order? It was just me and my kid, we had three appetizer, two main course. Anyway, Simple menu with good descriptions. Overall great food, quiet ambience, suitable for business dinner, affordable price.

Diner Review №45

Best Thai in town..

Diner Review №46

Worst Larb I have ever had in my life.
I asked for 1 star and they gave me 3 star larb. There was also a bone in my food that hurt my teeth when I found it. The sticky rice was undercooked and terrible. The meal in whole was really really expensive. Will never ever go back. I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars.

Diner Review №47

Diner Review №48

Delicious! Panang curry was my favorite but everything was cooked to perfection! Ambience is incredible. Staff is super sweet. Let's keep this place in business and make sure to eat here!

Diner Review №49

Great food, I love how they open the large sliding doors in the summer. I have had nearly everything on the menu and it's all good. Favorites include the basil stir fry, pad Thai, and green curry.

Diner Review №50

First time and it’s a great find! Food was fresh and the cream cheese wontons were fantastic :)

Diner Review №51

Best Thai in town.. their Garlic pepper chicken is some fire. Friendly staff nice and clean and reasonable prices..

Diner Review №52

So good! I keep ending up there because vegan tacos next door is closed, but I'm not disappointed about it! I love it every time

Diner Review №53

Nice setting in downtown. I was in the mood for some Thai food when I found this place on Google maps. With everything going on in our world, I am a big supporter of our small business owners and glad I went in and supported this one. What a great place to eat. The portions were a perfect size, the flavor was excellent, and it tasted like all fresh ingredients. I highly recommend you stop in and try this place.

Diner Review №54

Diner Review №55

Great food. Made fresh to order. Great service

Diner Review №56

I like to drop in here when I go to musicals at the Eccles. It is always so quiet, maybe it is busier on weekends or at lunch, but the food is so good. They are pretty quick and I haven't had a dish I didn't like. One order of curry is 2-3 meals for me and its affordable.

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №59

Pad thai isn't amazing, it's pretty average but the worst part is the shrimp. It's three extra dollars for what turns out to be only four shrimp with the tails on. I can get better shrimp from a dollar store.

Diner Review №60

Been eating here regularly for the last 6+ years and can honestly say i've never had a bad meal. Their service is impeccable as well.

Diner Review №61

We stopped in Bangkok Terrace about 6 months ago when we were downtown. It was amazing and since then it has been added to our regular rotation of restaurants and take out. The Tom Kha chicken soup and the green curry are my favorites. So delicious! I find myself craving these throughout the week and plotting my next visit. We also usually get the spring rolls and the basil stir fry. Yum! We try to get something different every time, and everything that we have tried is fantastic! The restaurant is quiet and classy or have them deliver to you. This place does not disappoint!

Diner Review №62

Great price value equation at this restaurant

Diner Review №63

The best Thai food I have ever eaten is here at Bangkok Terrace. Maggie has done an amazing job with the restuarant and deserves a lot of credit for making this a top restaurant in Salt Lake City. This is a must when visiting the area.

Diner Review №64

Very good thai food

Diner Review №65

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

The only truly delicious, properly spiced, and decently authentic Thai food downtown. Great for the price.

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

Went here on a date, the atmosphere was very romantic. Got the pineapple curry with shrimp and cream cheese wontons. Probably the best wontons I've ever had. Just melted in your mouth. And the curry was excellent. Never thought pineapple would be good in curry but it definitely was. It had just the right amount of kick too. The waiter was incredibly friendly even though he was the only one in the dining room. I would highly recommend this place!

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

Diner Review №72

Low quality wontons and sweet pad Thai (pad Thai isn’t supposed to be sweet).

Diner Review №73

Excellent food and great service. Great comfort food.

Diner Review №74

Good good lousy service

Diner Review №75

Diner Review №76

Take out portions were tiny! Will never do take out here again. Should have gone back to sawadei. I wish sawadei was in DoorDash. Food was okay at best.

Diner Review №77

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

This place has changed in the past few years. The food isn’t bad, but it isn’t great. Prices have changed but the quality of the food hasn’t. They got rid of their lunch special quite a while back and I think that is killing their business.

Diner Review №80

The tum yum soup was great but the stir fry and fried rice were awful. I will never come to this place again

Diner Review №81

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

So delicious! The shrimp pot stickers were the best I've had in a long while. Pad thai was also so good. Waiter was attentive & kind.

We loved the coconut soup! The Yellow Curry was tasty and the perfect amount of spicy. The Spring Rolls were cooked perfectly. Would have given 5 stars but we weren't sitting on top of the AC vents which gave off a mechanical smell. Staff was great, food came quickly.

Right downtown in the middle of the action. Good food, good service. Lovely ambience.

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

The food Wasn’t good. I ordered yellow curry and Pad Thai. The yellow curry was bland. Only a couple potatos and a few carrots. The Pad Thai was awful. When the server checked in on me I told her that something tasted off about it, a little sour, the noodles were a little slimy and that it was ok for her to take. She asked me if I wanted it sweeter or more spicy. I said neither and was ok with her taking it. She took it to the kitchen and brought it back with what I assume is more sauce anyways. I let her know that I appreciated the action, but sweet or spicy wasn’t the issue. She insisted I try the modified pad Thai. It was sweeter, but still a little sour and slimy. Its a beautiful atmosphere and the location is nice. Overall the food I had wasn’t good. Service was a little odd. I recently ate at Sala Thai on 600 S 200 W and found the food quality much better. The restaurant isn’t as glamorous, but significantly more satisfying (food and service) and not too much farther south.

Diner Review №106

The food was good and the service was good. However, be prepared to wait because the food seems to be prepared right as you ordered. The wait was worth it, I feel.

Diner Review №107

Diner Review №108

This is my third time here, each time ordering something different, and I haven't been disappointed. It also has an added bonus of an amazing atmosphere. A must go to during the summer.

Food was excellent, service was good, the restaurant was clean. I will definitely eat here again.

Diner Review №111

Diner Review №112

This is by FAR the best Thai food I've had in Utah! The Drunken Noodle will make your day.

Diner Review №113

Great Pad Thai, great soups, very friendly service

Diner Review №114

I really enjoy eating the curry dishes at Bangkok Terrace. They are well portioned and really flavorful. If you eat there, it is a sit down place with table service so it may not be quite as quick as other places. If I have a few extra minutes though I think it's well worth the wait. The only criticism I have is that most times when I have requested some spice in my food it ends up being way too spicy. I know that now and just skip the spice, but wish they would consistently have a moderate level.

Diner Review №115

Nice atmosphere , great lunch offer

Diner Review №116

Good food in a quiet atmosphere.

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №118

Light and healthy Thai food. Great service and great prices.

Diner Review №119

This little place is such a gem! They have fantastic Pad See Ew and a marvelous atmosphere! The staff was also very kind and helpful.

Diner Review №120

Food was what I expected, but the service was extremely fast!

Diner Review №121

Diner Review №122

I had the drunken noodles with beef and it’s rare to find quality cuts of steak that are stir fried perfectly but it’s here and with just a bit of chili oil added it’s delicious.

Diner Review №141

Diner Review №142

Just wasting my time and my money here for nothing. The taste is horrible, the service is far even worse. Not recommended.

Diner Review №143

Best Thai food in SLC. The most authentic flavors I have had since being in Thailand! The pinnacle fried rice is fantastic!

Diner Review №144

Love the set up. Open air, just like in Thailand. . almost...

Diner Review №146

Diner Review №147

Bangkok Terrace is one of my favorite Thai places! I usually get the Yellow Curry but this time tried the Green Curry. It didn’t disappoint! I’ve been coming to Bangkok Terrace for at least 4 years if not longer. Friendly staff. Quality food. Excellent choice!!

Diner Review №153

Good thai dinner.

Diner Review №154

service was fine, but I don't think the food is much to write home about. Ordered BBQ pork and it was too sweet for my taste with the portion too small for the 14 dollars you're paying. It wasn't particularly tender or anything either. The 15 dollar noodle dish (some thing with fatty pork and shrimp? Forgot the name) was only okay. My boyfriend couldn't really taste any of the dish, especially the pork. When you say fatty pork I expect decent sized chunks of pork belly, but the pieces were so tiny and thinly sliced that you can't really taste it. I'm giving it 3 stars because the food isn't terrible, and the lychee smoothie tasted pretty nice, I just don't think it was too worth it.

Diner Review №155

Not enough staff and space to handle the lunch rush. I don't get the hype. To me, there is nothing special about this place/food. Average at best.

Diner Review №156

Fantastic and authentic and not always terribly busy, but this is Utah and people here wouldn’t know good non-American food if it punched them in the face.

Diner Review №157

Bangkok Terrace had THE BEST panang curry I've ever tasted. The waitresses were super friendly and the food came out really quickly. Will most definitely be going back!!

Diner Review №158

Diner Review №159

Excellent service and food! 🙌🙌

Diner Review №160

I got here for lunch. Food, cashew tofu was ok but not great. There was no one when I got to the restaurant. It looks like an amateur family place, which to some extent gives it a charm, but some basic things you expect lacks. So I won't organize a business dinner here for example, or have a date here.

Diner Review №161

Pad kee mao or Pad Thai all the way!

I love all Thai noodle dishes! Chewy rice noodles with that sweet soy and basil freshness.

Naturally I ordered a pad kee mao with chicken. The portion size here is quite substantial. There are plenty of veggies and flavor in the noodles and chicken. However I thought it was just a bit too greasy, after I was done, the entire inside of mouth was coated with oil. My fellow diners who ordered the fried rice also thought the oil was a bit on the heavy side.

Good flavor, just less oil and it would be 5 stars!

Diner Review №162

Very authentic and really, really good Thai food. I've been in groups of 4, 6 and 12+ and they're always accommodating. I've also brought clients from India and other parts of the world and its always unanimous - the food is excellent and authentic. For those complaining about the Pad Thai, know that what other Thai restaurants serve you is very Americanized. Bangkok Terrace makes their Pad Thai right, with fish sauce and soy sauce. It's delicious and most certainly authentic. The Garlic Beef is really good and ran out fast at our table. All the curries are on point. The vegetables are always fresh. The mango rice dessert is delicious. They have the best pot stickers you'll ever have - seriously. I'll keep coming back for sure!

Diner Review №163

Excellent service and atmosphere. The BBQ pork and chicken pad thai were delicious and fresh. But the sticky mango rice was the best part.

Diner Review №164

I gave four stars because 4/5 times, the food and service is great. I usually get the cashew chicken to go, and it is delicious! Very flavorful, and they've always been spot on with how long my order will take (usually 15-20 minutes during lunch hour). I have heard from several friends and colleagues that their pad Thai is nasty, though, so... Maybe steer clear of that.

Diner Review №165

Diner Review №166

The spring rolls are amazing! The Pad Thai tastes like dog poo smells! As if that wasn't bad enough, there was a hair in our food. Don't waste your time!

Diner Review №167

Fantastic thai food, beautiful decor and atmosphere, great service. We were headed to a concert at the Gallivan center and ran into this cute restaurant. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №168

Yummy curry and a nice atmosphere. Reasonable prince (lunch special) and delicious spring rolls. I was a little disappointed that they charge $2 for a little bowl of rice when they don’t give you much rice to begin with.

Diner Review №169

Easily the worst Thai food I've ever had. The Pad Thai tasted like wet hair (Not spicy when asked for 9 out of 10 spice), and the soup (When asking for medium spice) was blazingly spicy. The atmosphere is good, but the food is terrible.

Diner Review №170

Good abiance & service..food tasted good..all THREE IN OUR PARTY GOT VIOLENT FOOD POISONING after having had shared soup, entrees, & CLAMS, the suspicioned culprit...

Diner Review №171

Ambiance, service, and food were superb. Best chicken satay I’ve ever had. Parang curry was also great. Proprietor has created a special place.

Diner Review №172

We unfortunately did not experience anything close to what many of the other reviewers did while eating here. My husband and I arrived just before 6 pm and were seated immediately. We did not get any water or have our order taken for 15 plus minutes which was odd considering there were only 2 other (small) tables dining at the time. Our appetizer (chicken satay) took more than 30 minutes and though the flavor was good, the chicken was extremely dry. The Pad Thai lacked flavor which was disappointing considering the various ingredients and usual flavor profile the dish offers. The Masaman Curry was the only redeaming portion of our meal- it was delicious and the size of the entree was great. All in all, the service was lackluster at best and the food was mediocre. We will not be dining here again.

Diner Review №173

I ordered the Tom Kha soup and pineapple curry and both were delicious. Their "medium" spice had more kick than the average Thai restaurant, but it wasn't too much, and the atmosphere was quite nice.

Diner Review №174

Delicious flavorful food! I found the dinner portions to be substantial. Reasonably priced. The staff go above and beyond!

Diner Review №175

Very cozy location. Great service, food, and ambience. Wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful afternoon tea.

Diner Review №176

Diner Review №177

Diner Review №178

Food was very good. But we had to wait forever to get our order

Diner Review №179

I thought they had really yummy food, and my Thai friend liked it too. :)

Diner Review №180

Basil stir fry is amazing. Only wish the serving size was a bit larger in their lunch combo.

Diner Review №181

Pad Thai lunch special was awesome!

Diner Review №182

Mixed feelings on this place, my rice was mushy and my vegetables in my yellow curry were undercooked, also the curry sauce was a little over bearing. Only one server so you are not getting very good service. The decor however is beautiful and it definitely has potential, food moves too fast to the tables, seems they care about turning tables rather then giving you quality food and service. No heart here 😞 Sad

Diner Review №189

I'm rather indifferent toward Thai food, but this was delicious and it was actually spicy when I asked for the hot option! That is rare.

Diner Review №190

Soooooo yummy. Pricey but try the sticky rice peach dessert!

Diner Review №191

Diner Review №192

Diner Review №193

I love this restaurant! I used to go more often but lately haven't had the chance. They have excellent massaman curry and their mango and sticky rice is so so good. I love their environment and the service is decent. I brought my father who lived in Thailand for a while here for dinner and amhe said that this was very authentic and delicious as well.

Diner Review №194

Diner Review №196

My favorite here is the massaman chicken curry. I miss their previous lunch special combo. Some days the service can be a bit slow, especially if it's close to the lunch rush.
