Classic Thai fare, including a range of vegetarian dishes, served in relaxed, simple digs.
We were a little hesitant about eating at this place because of the mixed reviews. But we were so happy we didn't listen to some of these reviews. We have been to Thailand many times before and are also from Asian descent, so we know good Asian food like Thai. Well the food here was very good, tasted like most of what we had in Thailand. And they do serve your dinner on regular plates (no plastics!) and regular cutlery (also no plastics!). The Masaman Curry tasted delicious and also their mixed vegetables. The Mango Sticky Rice was 10 out of 10! About some dishes being to overly sweet, I understand that people from outside the US might think this is too sweet. And perhaps even some Americans. But that is a matter of preference. It is a fact that most Americans like their food a little on the sweet side so the restaurant tries to accomodate on that matter. For me it was no issue, but you can ask the owner if they make the food not too sweet. It is kind of a diner and they serve food at your table and the portions are big enough. So I really would recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious!
I have eaten here 5 or 6 times, and the food has always tasted wonderful, and the portions have been reasonable. After my second or third time of coming back, I took a minute to read some of the negative reviews. It almost made me not come back. But then my brain kicked and I remembered how I had really liked the food before. I decided to come back again, and sure enough, the food was awesome. I eat Thai all over the country, and this place is on the high end of the scale. I am guessing the negative reviews are from competitors, or people that are just impossible to please. I HIGHLY recommend eating here.
Forgive me for not having great pictures but this was a random post-movie dinner with the kids. We got steamed and fried dumplings, curry, pad Thai and chow mein. Easily the best orange chicken of my life. It was spectacular and the breading was perfection as was the sauce. Loved the dumplings, pad Thai was great and the chow mein was also a great dish. The curry with rice was a favorite of my wife and I. The kids ate everything and we had a fantastic experience! Great service, the lady taking the order was so friendly and the food was very quick! Would 10/10 suggest coming!
Five stars for it being here. Real authentic Thai. A lot of the “poor” reviews are because of the long wait times. We came on a “not too busy” day but times are rough and hiring has been tough.
If we are eating based off actual service of the nice lady up front and quality and value of food- it’s great!
Huge Thai iced tea and a great lunch box special.
i order the orange chicken it was crispy and had a great sauce. the drunken noodles were also great, we went late afternoon and no one was here but the lady working was amazing and the food was great. i’ve seen reviews about how it is served in plastic to-go containers, when i went today it was on plates.
Got the drunken noodles and they were excellent! The service was great and we got our food super fast. My grandma ordered a meal too spicy and they gave us a replacement free of charge. Definitely recommend
EXCELLENT THAI FOOD!
I have eaten Thai food in many different cities, so I know when it's good and when it's not.
Don't let the paper plates and plastic forks fool you - the Pad Thai here is amazing. We also got the fresh basil rolls, and they were really fresh, crunchy, full of flavor, served with a teriyaki sauce.
This place is a hidden gem waiting for your taste buds to find it.
Prices are decent, and you get very filling portions of food.
My bro got the Teriyaki Chicken and he said it was excellent.
The owner is super nice and very accommodating. They have a lunch menu and service was quick.
The restaurant is very clean, and so are the bathrooms.
They are right next to the Cinemas, so if you have a hard time finding them, go to the Cinemas and they are directly across from them.
Great food and nice people
The thaï food they serve is "fusion". I wouldn't say it's authentic Thai but more like thaï food adapted to the western pallette. I may have expected too much.
that was the best darned orange chicken I've ever eaten. I'm just a simple white girl who can't resist fried chicken in sugar sauce but that was incredible. yay yay yay! I'm so happy I went here. I had such a fun time!
Did not taste the food as the waiters lied about the time that the food would come. When sitting down, we were given an estimate of 15 minutes to get our appetizers. After waiting over half an hour, we did not receive anything. When asking about the appetizers again, we were given another estimate of 30 minutes. At that point, leaving was a reasonable option, as there would be no guarantee that the food would come in the next 30 minutes.
We were initially quoted 30 minutes to get our food served. After one hour, we asked and they told us that our food would come in another half hour, at which point we walked out. Only come here if you would like to waste your time. Do not recommend.
The food is completely average nothing worth paying for. I ordered pick up and was quoted 40 minutes for my food to be ready, and hour and 15 minutes later when I went up and asked where my food was they finally got it to me. Terrible service, mid food, would not recommend
The staff were friendly and prep time was reasonable. Things were clean and didn't smell funky. All good things. Well done... however, the food... not so great...
The Pad Thai was good and portioned well, but then it clumped into a solid chunk that needed to be cut/ripped apart in order to serve. The Teriyaki Chicken dish was portioned small and was not well seasoned (couldn't tell it apart from the other chicken from other dishes and very watery). The Stir-fry rice was portioned well, but very little was done beyond the "Stir" of the rice it appears. There was very little to no flavor. Skimpy on the veggies. Little to no sause added... just not impressed.
In total, we had 5 dishes and were out around 80 bucks. We really like finding the hole in the wall Asian restaurants where they put everything they can into the food and experience... this doesn't appear to be that. I'm not planning on heading back.
Portions were small, food was very good.
Got the drunken noodles and they were excellent! The service was great and we got our food super fast. My grandma ordered a meal too spicy and they gave us a replacement free of charge. Definitely recommend
Pretty spicy but goid
Not if you're in a hurry, unless they aren't busy. The curry and noodle soups are both great and authentic.
Great spot for a veggie filled meal as you drop down out of Zion National Park! Staff was friendly, and the food was delivered quickly, hot and delicious!
I've lived in California for 30 years wahijgton state 27 years and have been to many amazing Thai restaurants in my life in big city's. I came in as I had time before meeting a friend. This place can hold it's own with the big cities. Amazing and I say everyone should come and eat here. I live in st george but would come again and again.
Picked up the mango curry and fried rice for my wife and I.
Excellent taste and quality.
My wife and I went back a second time for dinner and it was equally as good.
The rice take-out box portion is small so i ordered a second box of steamed rice which they charged me $3 which I thought was excessive considering steamed rice is very inexpensive and if they had a more reasonable size of container for take-out it wouldn't have been necessary for me to order more.
My food was gross and flavorless. Customer service was not a thing here at all. Do not recommend
The definition of a 3 star restaurant. The food was simply average. The pineapple fried rice had little flavor and the rice tasted old. The chicken wings were ok. A friend got the panang Curry and he said his was just ok as well. They were not busy during dinner, probably a good indicator.
Good: Reasonably priced, A+ service, clean restaurant, fast kitchen
Bad: The food.
The dishes we were served at Mekong were totally unseasoned. It tasted like food that your friend’s mom Becky’s might’ve cooked; flat, flavorless, boring.
The food here was passable, not huge portions. Our Basil rolls did have something wrong with them. They tasted like dirt. They did take it off the bill. However, we didn't even have utensils other than spoons for our soup and one set of chopsticks (when I asked for 3). We had no napkins, and nobody checked on us ever about the food or if we needed drink refills. Ordering for take-out might be a good option, although I guess you are taking your chances depending on the choice. I'm probably not going to go back. The drive to St George for good Thai food is a better option for me.
Excellent food. Great service.
Awful, absolutely awful. Watered down soup served in foam cups. It was expensive, disgusting just never again.
Edit: You are the only place next to costa vida. Don't even think it's worth risking going again on chances that this was some crazy fluke!
Bland food. Cheap freezer isle appetizers, watery curry.
I stopped here just to try something new. I've never been here and I'm not from the area, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and very flavorful. It was a good amount of food and I left very satisfied
I moved to Eagle Mountain, UT 3.5 years ago from Western Washington (where there is great/authentic Thai food) and have never managed to find a good Thai restaurant. Now I know I need to go to Hurricane to get excellent Thai food. I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular customer.
We got pad Thai, drunken noodles, and tom kha. All were excellent. We all loved the soup the most, then drunken noodles and then pad Thai. It was all excellent.
Service was fast and friendly.
Great food. Great people. Food was good and quick. The ladies were very nice
Great Currys and appetizers.
You can choose your degree of spiciness of the Currys and they taste great! (had green and red with chicken). The taste is near authentic Thai.
Friendly stuff.
My favorite meal is the spicy fried rice with shrimp and pineapples. Their food is so delicious!
Love this place, I don’t know why they have low reviews , I stay in Hurricane for 2 days and decide to try this place, the food is excellent, friendly service staffs, the price is reasonable highly recommended
Decent place to have a change of taste in a town where there are not many restaurants serving Asian food.
Worn-out menu, the ambiance is very cold and feels more like a fast-food joint. Visually, it’s not inviting. The smell is quite strong and could be off-putting. Prices are in the lower mid-range. It seems more like a take-away restaurant. The quality of the food was okay to good, so I’m giving it a solid 3.
So I really would recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious!
We have tried this place twice. We were very unimpressed both times. The food is meh at best. Everything is served in super cheap plasticware. It was really warm inside. The food was overpriced. It's too bad. Hurricane could use a great Thai place.
I don't know where the people leaving poor reviews are eating, but I don't believe it's this place. Six of us ordered take out and everyone ordered something different. It was all delicious and the servings were big enough for two to share. We'll definitely be returning for another great meal.
Another one bites the dust! This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but has gone the direction of every other restaurant in Hurricane, Utah. My wife’s curry literally had no flavor, tasted like water in a plastic cup - no exaggeration. Small portions, bland food, high prices. Save your money, and your palate, and dine at the Royal Thai in Saint George.
Our go to Thai Food. Everything here is good.
The Orange Chicken was the best that I ever had, portions was great , the best food in Hurricane Utah. Love this restaurant
Very good food, friendly waitress. I would definitely recommend it.
The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly. Don't forget the mango sticky rice at the end, you won't regret it.
Food is just ok at best, does not taste fresh or authentic. It came out very quickly ( like too quick to have been made fresh ) served in disposable plastic dishes with plastic cutlery and paper plates. Rice came in a paper boat. Chicken pad Thai had very little chicken. Curry was very thin and watered down. We paid $38 for an order of pad Thai and an order of curry. Staff was friendly.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hurricane! I come here to lunch with my friends all the time and love the pad Thai, yellow curry, spring rolls, and shrimp tempura. If you’re stopping by this city or living here you need to try it!
i order the orange chicken it was crispy and had a great sauce. the drunken noodles were also great, we went late afternoon and no one was here but the lady working was amazing and the food was great. i’ve seen reviews about how it is served in plastic to-go containers, when i went today it was on plates.
I’ve eaten here a few times (I’m local) and can’t figure out why there are so many bad reviews? The food I have ordered all three times has been excellent and the people with me said the same thing about theirs! Yes, they do serve the food in more of a “to go” type container but seriously, if that is all people have to worry about, they should feel blessed. Think of it as more like chipotle or Café Rio environments where you order at the counter and don’t get served food on a glass plate. It’s not a sit down restaurant where they come take your order and serve you…you get your own drinks and bus your own table. Not sure why people expect it to be like sukura🤷♀️ Any way, I would recommend it…the lady at the counter has always been pleasant to me.
We order to go. After a whole day at Zion Park. The food was amazing, my husband and I enjoy the flavors and the amount of food was enough. Prices are affordable. Thanks for your good service.
The food quality is okay, but the place is a bit run down, and, in general, it is a horrible experience every time. And worse, they serve everything on paper plates and plastic utensils. McDonald's and other fast food joints feel more upscale.
As a local, I wanted to like this place so much! It would be so lovely to have a local Thai restaurant, but after several attempts, I now pretend this place does not exist so I don't have to experience continual disappointment.
You’re just gonna have to make a reservation at Sakura, preferably a few hours ahead of time, and drive all the way downtown instead. They do everything better there.
We enjoyed the food and were grateful for vegan options. However, they serve everything in disposables, also if you dine in.
אוכל טעים וטרי, מנות יפות.
We went there for dinner and had the Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry. Overall, the food was enjoyable, although the curry sauce was a bit watery. However, the use of takeout dishes and plastic cutlery, even for dine-in, was a bit odd and disappointing from a sustainability perspective, especially since there's no recycling. Still, if you're passing through on your way to or from Zion NP, this place is a decent option.
Food portions are abyssmally low. Virtually very little meats/protein in their meals. And if that wasn't enough, the food was grossly overpriced - simply not worth it
A small hidden gem
Offering fantastic North East Thai food! We had pineapple fried rice, mango curry, drunken noodles - Excellent food and service. Food is served in to go boxes / Ok with us and not an issue
Super sweet pad Thai. No alcohol. Paper and plastic plates and utensils. Three week road trip and this is the worst meal we have had.
Outstanding Thai food at this restaurant in Hurricane, Utah
They do however only serve food on paper and there’s no liquor licence. It is a lovely space so with time perhaps they will use actual plates and possibly serve alcohol.
The mango shrimp stir fry and papaya salad are both excellent.
I have eaten in hundreds of Tai restaurants all over the world but this one is probably the worst!
We stayed in a nearby RV park so walked over. They prices are like a regular restaurant but they serve you at the table in the takeaway cartons and plastic forks...
If the food was good, this would not be the problem but it was not. It was just bad....
I have never given a one star to a restaurant before but I strongly don't recommend eating there!
Enjoyed our dinner. Average Thai Restaurant.
Thaise maaltijd ok. Helaas met plastic bestek….
Walked in and was immediately hit with a unpleasant smell in the restaurant. Had 2nd thoughts of eating there but decided to have pad thai. Not worth the money. Not greeted when I walked in. A couple that walked in 10 minutes after me was not greeted by lady behind counter so they walked out. Bad experience all around.
Worst Thai food experience I've ever had, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, everything was kind of soggy, and tasted terrible, like it was from the frozen isle in walmart and just microwaved.
The most authentic and best tasting Thai hands down!!
Stopped in for dinner and had quick service. The food came out much faster than expected which was great as we were very hungry (hence the mostly eaten food in the pic). The food was good but it was unpleasant to eat out of the cheap flimsy plastic bowl and paper rice tray. Food was priced ok but they definitely could be more generous with the rice. We were disappointed with the portion given and not impressed by the price of another tiny portion. Rice is extremely cheap? Why is it $3 for half a cup of cooked rice??? Weird. Weird place.
Food was ok. The cashew nut was a little too sweet for me.
One star for any restaurant serving meals on disposable plastic dishware with plastic utensils. That is pathetic and this place should be avoided for this reason alone.
Love Thai food, not a fan of this establishment. The food serving size was small, the place was understaffed, and the wait was long...... It's not terrible but just temper your expectations before visiting.
The owner has no idea what she doing. $55 food serve with the cheapest paper plate. Nothing close to thai food. It a tourist trap. I believe no local customer go there.
I ordered the Tom Kha soup and normally it is filled with a variety of vegetables but tonight it was filled with onions - I was soooo disappointed!! This is my favorite soup and I order it every time I come in but tonight it should have been called onion soup, so disappointed!
Take out place. Great curry and orange chicken, pad Thai so so.
The best green curry I’ve ever had in my life! We’ve had Thai at a lot of different places. So much flavor, a wide selection of vegetables, and they were cooked to perfection, not overdone & not raw. Excellent service, extremely communicative, friendly, quick.
The food was delicious, the restaurant was cleaning and inviting, service was great.
Kevalee was so patient & kind. The food was so tasty & excellent!! Thank you for such a perfectly splendid experience.
We waited 45 minutes for the food, and when it finally arrived it was just ok.
Quick stop for some food! Food was great !
Great curry!!
Overall a solid Thai place from our experience. The Pad Thai was great & a normal portion size. The basil rolls were also great.
The red curry, orange chicken, & teriyaki chicken portions were really small and you would pretty much need to order 2 of each to get a normal portion size.
We ordered the pad Thai and it was dry (not enough sauce). We also ordered the mango sticky rice and spring rolls and they were delicious.
Had the pad thai lunch. Very tasty with an egg roll and salad. Our server was super friendly, and attentive. I definitely recommend.
Food is very good! However...... the portions are woefully inadequate. There is not much that's cheaper than white rice, but we found that was the case for our take out order. The typical cardboard container is 50% smaller than others, and even worse they (3) were filled to 3\4 at best. So two dishes and one extra white rice cost $32.00 dollars. My 2 cents says this is not the best business plan.
This little restaurant was really fun, nice and quite, and the food was amazing! My mom ordered the Orange Chicken and I got the Ginger stir fry and we both LOVED it! Both were very good, and the Thai tea was excellent, SO good! We definitely plan on going again.
The restaurant was clean, and the service was really good.
I have serious reservations about eating here again. I'm surprised and disappointed at the quality of the food, the service, the serving of the food, and the high prices. I almost think a 1-star review is being overly generous.
My family and I wanted to try this restaurant as a means of supporting a local establishment. For 6 basic meals off the menu, such as orange chicken or teriyaki chicken, the cost was just north of $100. I was shocked to review the bill.
The food is served on plastic plates and the utensils are plastic (cheap plastic forks, sort of like what you would buy at a dollar store). Rice is served in a French Fry container. Water, served warm, is served in small clear plastic cups (the cheap ones that you might buy at Walmart).
The food portions are small. The food doesn't taste great. The rice is dry, and there are no sauces, salt and pepper, or condiments at the tables.
Overall, you pay alot of money for small portions of food served on cheap plastic dinnerware.
Go elsewhere. I definitely will.
Had Tom Yum soup and fried veggies - tasty for an Asian palate. A little bit pricy though.
Generous portions (couldn’t finish my pad Thai, it’s like 1.5x), which make the prices very fair imo. And it’s tasty, authentic, and there’s Thai music playing! Definitely worth it if you’re in the mood for Asian food.
Convenient, fast, good food, plenty of non-meat options.
Our family was visiting the area and searched for a place to dine. The staff is wonderful and the food was great. The dining area was clean but not decorated! Needs a few painted dragons!
Mostly takeout place or you will have to eat in paper plates , flavor less food no basil in basil fried rice , not enough flavor in Pad Thai , shrimp was good , satay was Ok,
over rated place
Very good authentic Thai food!!!
Not a super fancy atmosphere, but the great food and kind staff make up for it. A hidden gem in Hurricane!
It’s not bad for the area.
We were extremely disappointed with how poorly the food tasted. We will definitely not go back. Also the food it is way over priced.
This isn't the best Thai place we've tried but it is a good option for St George. We always get Tom Kha, pad see we, green curry, and basil rolls. They all satisfy the craving and don't taste odd or off.
The worst Thai food I've ever had.
Zero service and they want you to pay and tip up front! I did, When they brought out the food. They all tasted blank. Big chunk of artificial crab meat hardly cut at all in the Tom Yum soup and the only taste of the soup is sour. Asked for Sriracha sauce, they don't have it. Drunken Noodles were white and pale with hardly any taste. What really made me mad was there's only one piece of basil leave in my spicy basil dish! And I ordered shrimp and beef dish. But they put pork in it instead! I called the owner lady. She couldn't tell if it's beef or pork! Excuse me! How could that happen?
Cleaely prey on out of towners. Dont let it be you too!
Terrible value, avoid the pad thai. You will get more protein from McDonalds for a fraction of the cost.
Less pork than a pizza topping quantity. Maybe 1 TBS of peanuts and scrambled eggs each. Hardly sauced noodles, and not spicy. (No additional chili sauce supplied in delivery. Possobly availabke in restauraunt.)
$15 appetizer came with a quarter of iceberg lettuce for us to break apart, and most leaves too stiff to wrap with. Chicken tasted overwhelmingly of black pepper. Dipping sauce watery but flavor okay.
Cheap cheap cheap cheap. For $70.
Our hiking snacks would have satisfied us more.
What a rip off.
Only the fruit salad was decent.
Curry was just ok for the expensive price I paid. Kind of disappointed. Not everyone knows how to make great curry. They didn’t even try with the orange chicken.
Have clearly labelled vegan options! The curry we got was pretty good, mine was quite spicy! I wouldn't say it's the best thai food but it was satisfying.
Bit hot food and depend on your choice
We happened to be in town, and decided to try this Thai restaurant, and we were glad we did. The food was top-notch with the right amount of spiciness according to each customer. We tried the Tom Yum Soup, Red Curry Chicken, and Massaman Curry Chicken. We will definitely return 👍🏼
Everything was so delicious!!!
Excellent
Great food with great service. Definitely recommending this place!
Food was amazing,my husband is from Thailand an he loves the food and environment, service was one point 10/10 great
Everything was fresh and delicious! Service was fast and pleasant. Finally a restaurant in Hurricane that meets our tastes.
This was 6 years ago. I had a pad Thai about a year ago. The food was very good but it was no longer a sit down restaurant. Just went for take out and got the worst pad Thai I have ever had. Sad! I won't be back.
I wish I could give it a 3.5! They make pretty good food and have good service, but I only ever eat here if I am REALLY craving Thai food. It's "good" Thai food at a "great" Thai food price.
Food was great, very flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. Portion sizes were about what you'd expect, we were both full from just entrees. It's counter service, so not fine dining if that's your thing but great food for $15-$20/person.
For a fast/casual Thai restaurant, I was impressed! I really enjoyed the spicy basil and the pad see yew. Very tasty and flavorful!
Stopped here after visiting Zion National Park and it was the best option for us as vegans. Thai food is always a t get eat option because they are always vegan friendly! Our kids are 4 and 7 years old and have this place a five star review. We ate almost everything and what we didn’t finish, we took to go. Helps out that they serve in dishes ready to put a lid on to go. The cashier/waitress was very helpful and kind. We barely had to wait five minutes as we were the only ones at the restaurant. If you want Thai ye but vegan, ask for coconut milk inside it.
It's about the food, not the atmosphere. Authentic as can be in the USA.
We got the green chicken curry and the tom yum (more like Tom yummy!)
Was totally excellent and highly recommend if you are looking for some authentic tasting Thai food!
Soggy orange chicken. Over priced.
Tried this years ago and it was awful. Decided to give them another chance because I love Thai food. This time the food was actually good but the portions were incredibly small and the prices are high for what you get. Got the drunken noodle lunch box and the box was small and only half full. They gave me a handful of lettuce with a tomato slice on it. Salad I guess but why? No dressing was provided. Just give enough drunken noodles to make me full. My daughter got the spring rolls and they were tiny. See photos with my hand for reference. Service was fast and the lady was nice. Flavor was good and the Spicy 4 was actually on point this time because the last time I ate there it wasn’t spicy at all. I have no idea why they have a ton of table chairs stuffed into the dining room, it was completely empty when I went at 2:00 and it looked like you would just hit your back against the person behind you and have no privacy at all. Management should work on a better layout and less chairs so the dining area is more inviting. Pro tip: charge a little more and give people more food! If you’re looking for a date night out with Thai food just go to Royal Thai in Saint George. Similar prices but much bigger portions! I always have leftovers when I go there.
The only reason I gave 4/5 is the price and quantity. Lil spendy but since it's healthy I understand the price with inflation. Food was 10/10. We didn't even wait long either. I think wait time was 2 minutes. I got the orange chicken with side of vegetables. Everything was perfect. 100% better than pandas chicken. I love that crunch and taste! My wife got the broccoli with oyster sauce with side of rice. It was delightful. Paid $37 so I mean it's not crazy pricy, but for the quantity of food it's definitely a 4/5. One plate will not fill you up. But we'll definitely be going back!
Abysmal portioning. Too much money for too little food
We stopped in for an early dinner and were able to get a table easily but there were already quite a few people there. The restaurant operates more like a fast food place than a typical restaurant where you order at the counter and food is served in disposable cartons.
They have a great range of vegetarian and vegan options which was helpful. The food itself was tasty and with fairly generous portions too. You're able to choose your spice level and also add extra protein / veggies if you want it. We didn't have to wait long for our food at all - if anything the main came too quickly after the apps. I really enjoyed the lettuce wraps.
The service there was very friendly and attentive. If we were back in the area again we would definitely come back.
Food is tasty. Flavorful. Portion sizes were small especially when we ordered the pineapple rice. The hostess was nice and pleasant. Could do a better job of the restaurant atmosphere. Restroom was clean.
We tried this Resturant for the first time last night.
What we ordered: Spicy Fried Rice with shrimp. Fried rice with shrimp. Potstickers. Orange chicken comes with a small side of white rice. 1 fountain drink. Cost: $70.
Location: Convenient. Right off of Main Street by the movie theatre
Staff: Friendly & helpful
Time: We placed a pick up order. They said food would be about 15 min & that was accurate. Food was warm & ready when we arrived.
Price: This is where we are a little disappointed. The amount of food we got, compared to the price we spent, was not ideal. Our order plus small tip for our take out order was $70. If I’m going to spend that much on a meal, I’m not going to choose to go here. I wish we got more potstickers for $9.
Quality: It was decent. Not fantastic. Not bad. The rice tasted as expected. The orange chicken was better than excepted & this is where I could tell it was authentic vs somewhere like Panda Express
Options: They had a decent amount of options. However I don’t like that you can’t customize your dish. When ordering fried rice, you can pick chicken shrimp or beef. But you can’t select the type of chicken. Normally we get orange chicken or sweet & sour chicken with fried rice. You can’t do that here. The chicken is chicken. You must order a seperate dish of your preferred chicken. My husband ordered the spicy fried rice. They asked on a scale of 1-5 how spicy he wants it. He asked for a 4. He said it wasn’t spicy at all.
Overall it was a neutral experience. If we could customize our order more, i think it would lower the cost, & therefore we would go back. But I don’t see us going back in the future. I’d rather spend $70 elsewhere.
Great Thai food in town. They’re always fast and polite.
Food was. Overpriced for food that came out on paper plates. My advice is to go to McDonald's
Pretty sure the chow mein was just Western style spaghetti noodles tossed with steamed vegetables and drizzled with some soy sauce. Prices would be reasonable at a traditional restaurant but the place is run more like fast-casual (disposable plates, trays, pay before you get food but also tip?). I would pass unless you're really heartset on having some kind of Asian cuisine while in the area.
This was my 3rd time here over as many years. It's hard to justify paying 18 a dish for mediocre quality Thai food served with plastic ware and paper bowls too small for the dish. This should be a door truck on the side of the road, not a dine in establishment. Very disappointed this time (I got take out the other two visits years past).
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal.
The first thing that caught my attention was the extensive menu, offering a wide range of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Whether you’re a fan of traditional pho, flavorful curries, or fresh spring rolls, Mekong has something to satisfy every palate. The menu also includes vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy.
I started my meal with the fresh spring rolls, and they were absolutely delicious. The rolls were packed with a generous amount of crisp vegetables and succulent shrimp, all wrapped in delicate rice paper. The accompanying peanut dipping sauce added a delightful tangy and nutty flavor that perfectly complemented the rolls.
For my main course, I opted for the classic Vietnamese dish, pho. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices. The thinly sliced beef was tender and cooked to perfection, while the rice noodles added a satisfying texture to the dish. The pho came with a plate of fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime wedges, allowing me to customize the flavors to my liking.
The service at Mekong Restaurant was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with any questions or special requests. The food was served promptly, and the presentation was visually appealing, adding to the overall dining experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with tasteful decorations and comfortable seating. The soft background music created a relaxing atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy my meal in peace.
Overall, I highly recommend Mekong Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious Vietnamese or Thai dining experience in La Verna, Utah. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the service is top-notch. Whether you’re a fan of Asian cuisine or simply looking to try something new, Meekong Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
This place is a great place to go. I gave it 4 in stead of a 5 star rating because the prices are a little high. But the food is phenomenal.
Everyone here was so nice. The food came out quick and it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
Good food, friendly service.
Food was great. Prices and ambiance were not so great. Without tip, our total for 2 dishes (small portions), 1 appetizer, 1 soda and 1 water was $75. It all came in paper plates. I really like this place but the prices are out of control especially with the small portions.
This one was pretty bad. The price was on the high side particularly considering the quality. I love Thai food, but my Pad-Thai was just a paper tray full of glop. It way way over-cooked and somewhat flavorless. The spring rolls were alright, though a bit overdone. The dumplings were actually decent. The dining room was very sparse and uncomfortable. There were insufficient condiments.
Don’t ever dine at Mekong Kitchen Thai Restaurant. The price for the meal was very high and the food was not that good. We will never go again and eat at this restaurant.
Food was very tasty!
The food was not impressive. The wait was over 30min. The location was nothing interesting.
We ordered imitation crab rangoon. There is suppose to be imitation crab and cream cheese in it. In ours there was only cream cheese in it. So why would they not put any imitation crab in it? Is it that the chef was just to lazy or rushing or is it because they wanna safe the crab. There is suppose to be only 2 things in there and if you as a professional restaurant can’t even get this simple order right then you should not run this buisness
This is not authentic. No flavor at all. We spent $50 for three dishes that were very small portions. We got yellow chicken curry that literally had three small slices of chicken breast, pad Thai with tofu and green papaya salad. Not worth the expense!
Food was delicious
I got the Sweet and Sour Chicken while my wife got Pad Thai. The Sweet and Sour was very soggy, but tasted kinda good. The white rice included was dry. My wife described the Pad Thai as okay. The Crab Rangoons were really good. It's definitely not worth the price, but if you're hurting for Thai food it's an okay place to go.
Very good food. More fast food vibe than sit down restaurant due to be short staffed but it was perfect after a day of hiking.
Actually authentic Thai food. Tasted amazing
Worst place ever! Like bad microwave food!
Great Thai food! Great value and great taste.
Had pad see ew- not sweet, no dark soy sauce used, wrong noodles used, and underspiced all around. Basically plain noodles with chicken. Companion had Mekong Fried Rice, which had 2 shrimp that had seen better days and was essentially plain rice with no seasoning at all. Poor showing all around. Feels like the place is struggling financially and that struggle shows up in the quality of the ingredients.
I moved to Hurricane August 2022 and didn’t go here because they didn’t have great reviews. I had a friend tell me it was good so I decided to give it a try.
Let me just by saying I’m picky with my Asian food. My ex is Indonesian and he spoiled me with some of the best spots in Southern California. When I lived in SLC I had one of the best spots down the block from me.
As for this place I played it safe was chicken pad Thai, crab Rangoon, and Thai tea. The tea was just ok, honestly I’ve had better canned Thai tea! Crab Rangoon was over cooked and had nearly no creamy goodness. The pad Thai was decent but to me lacked flavor. I don’t need to go back. If they brought their prices down I might consider it. Also came out in cheap cardboard containers. Overpriced for the quality. When I want Thai I’ll drive to Saint George or Vegas.
We ordered Spicy Chicken fried rice, teriyaki chicken, crab ratoon and spring rolls. All where excellent and especially spicy Fried rice was awesome.
Place was clean food was safe tasted good if your looking to try somthing new this is for you.
Great vegetarian food!! Nightly recommended them. We had yellow curry, veggie soup, basil wrap and fried rice. Everything was super tasty!
The service is exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The food was great, highly recommend.
more a Thai take-away where you can enjoy your meals from plastic bowls and plates at a table. Foodwise nothing to write home about. Lady at the desk was very friendly. All in all not exciting at all and at a not too humble price.
We had the basil rolls, chicken pad thai, and the drunken noodles. The girl at the cash was lovely and helpful with our order but unfortunately that's the only thing that would spur a return. When asked for spice level (1-5) my wife asked for a 3.5 and I a 4 and it tasted like a 2.5. The pad Thai was piping hot but minimal flavour, not something to say you had Thai food. The drunken noodles were overcooked and not much flavouring. There is potential but work to be done
Kind of pricey but the food was decent
Since the new owners it's going down hill , call it a bistro or cafe , you order at the front then you sit down , they don't even serve you in real plates anymore 😔 this place is a joke girl at the front doesn't even come around to ask if everything is tasting ok , I won't be going back to this place ! rice wasn't even real Thai sticky white rice unbelievable, meat was hard, so was the chicken
Quick service, sauces could have been thicker imo.
Flat noodles seemed boiled, not sauteed. Lad Na was just flavorless. Flavor of curry sauce was good, but veggies seemed to have been frozen!!!! Store seemed nice as were the staff.
Small portions.
it was amazing food, but they are short staffed so all of the dine in food is served in togo containers. I would absolutely recommend, and would eat here again.
Not worth it. Pretty expensive for really small portions. You can get better Thai food out in St. George.
Avoid this restaurant. Not a real Thai food. I’m surprised how this restaurant got such ratings so far. Quality of the food is the worst. There is hardly any protein (chicken) in Red Curry. The lo mein was the worst. Not only the quantity of the meat is least, but also the quality is the worst.
Good food. Portions could increase
Decent food and great service. 30 minutes drive from Zion but worth it as there are limited food options in Springdale.
Prices also were reasonable compared to options near Zion park.
The food was good. It’s just the waiting time was really long like they said the food is going to be ready in 14-20 min but they took like more than 30 min.
It is a cost effective and quality option. It is kind of self serving place. Order does takes time, however it is worth. The food quality was good and fresh. It is pretty crowded, locals like this place.
Decided to try Thai food while in Utah. Not quite like NY/NJ Thai food places. was not very spicy.
This place takes forever always says there under staffed don't waist your time food isn't worth the long wait
Staff was so kind and helpful. Gave great recommendations. Got the orange chicken, mango curry and basil rolls (I'm pretty sure they gave us normal spring rolls but they were pretty good so I'm not mad.) The mango curry was phenomenal!
Great food! Good portions. Okay ambience.
Always amazing food
Ordered the tempura veggies and veggie delight. First the tempura was very light colored as it was not thoroughly cooked and very much raw. Fresh vegetables were not used as they were soggy yet had the raw tempura coating. Both items were floating in grease. Not very appetizing with so much grease, frozen soggy vegetables, and raw tempura. Waste of money!!!!
Very good food! Highly recommended this place!
