Spicy curries, noodles & other traditional Thai dishes offered in straightforward surrounds.
Honestly, my favorite restaurant of all time. The owner, Gip is very sweet and have been eating here for over a decade. I wanna say since 2005. I've had a lot of their dishes, but my all time favorites are the Hawaiian Pineapple Curry, I add bamboo and cashews to mine. 10/10. I love her fried wantons. Another appetizer they have is Kai Satay, fried chicken skewers dipped in DELiCIoUS, sweet peanut butter sauce called Satay, homemade. There isn't a lot of meat in them but they are homemade and crispy and perfect, love them with soy sauce. Sweet and sour chicken is the best I've had from any Asian restaurant. The fried chicken pieces are delicious and the sweet and sour dipping sauce is homemade, unlike the usual darker, thick so sweet and sour, this is light, fragrant and thinner. It is hands down 10/10. The Pad Thai is also 10/10. Broccoli beef is high quality and superior to Chinese Buffett broccoli beef, 10/10. Ham and Pineapple Fried Rice, has diced tomatoes which is a great touch, I add cashews to mine and it is delicious, especially with that spicy red sauce in the bottle. It's super cheap too, like 7 bucks for a large portion, so if you're on a budget it's a great choice. 10/10. If you want it super spicy, please tell your server, since the spice level on the dishes are lower, to suit a pallet to that is less accustomed to spice. Another amazing aspect is that the owner, Gip, has kept the prices low even as prices have gouged.
Thai Orchid is a friendly restaurant that I stopped here once before with my daughter, and I remembered how good the food is. So when approaching Wichita Falls today en route to my final destination, I searched for it, happening to arrive shortly after their 5pm opening hour.
I was surprised (as I was the first time) at how un-busy it was, especially given the food quality. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and vegetables. When my server asked about spice, I replied with one word: βMedium.β
Sweet Mother of Jesus, that was HOT! I was sweating, but loving every minute of it. I had to ask for a glass of water to try to put out the fire, to no avail. My tongue was smoking for a good 30 minutes afterward. If you are averse to heat, maybe say βMildβ or βNone.β
I was especially touched by all the employees wishing meβagain, the only customerβa Merry Christmas as I exited. That was really nice. I will remember, and shall return next time through town.
Ok to be fair this is a good restaurant for what you can expect in our little town. However, the staff have the worse customer service you will ever witness. That is mainly because the owner refuses to hire waiters and hosts, making both of those task fall on one person who is clearly over worked and overwhelmed. My family waited 45 minutes for our food to come out to the table and by that time my 7mo year old daughter finished her bottle and started to get restless. To avoid the entire restaurant being forced to endure the wrath of a tired, bored and irritated screaming baby, we asked for our food to be boxed up, which took an additional 7mins to complete. All in all this could be a great restaurant if they hired more staff and provided them with the proper training. The food is good but I suggest ordering for to go. They also close early if it is not busy so be aware of that.
The service was good. The foods came out fast and tasted good. The room is a bit dimmed but decorations are good.
Definitely my favorite place to eat. Their curry is amazing
Stopped by here for the first time while on a road trip with My Husband and boy were we satisfied! We got our favorite Thai dishes, Panang Curry and Green Curry!! Food was very good!!! Both the steamed rice and fried rice pair well with the dishes! Thai tea was a bit too sweet but mellowed out a bit as the ice melted!

Rude lady no customer service no good communication, food is good but the place looks runned down , they need help there service is slow ...
LOVE this place. Food is good the lady that works there is so nice. Come to this place for the Pad Thai every time Iβm in town.
Food was bland. Ordered pad kra pao and got mostly green peppers and a few pieces of tough dry meat. Every other Thai place Iβve been to the meat is ground for this dish but it was sliced here. Ordered spicy. Wasnβt spicy. Owner or worker was sitting at a table at the front of the restaurant gossiping the whole time with someone. She was attentive but shouldnβt be hanging out in a booth the whole time at the front.
The Thai tea was good.
The atmosphere was weird. Instead of spreading people out (plenty of tables) they had us all back to back. The booths are low and uncomfortable, very little padding. And itβs quiet and dark inside.

First time visit and it was worth it! The food was so good and we had a good time just taking our time with the meal and enjoying each other's company. If you want good Thai food this is a good place to visit.
Great thai food and good price! This is a weekly meal in our home!
They have never been open! We have tried to eat there a couple of times but have never found it open. We were there the other night, the sign outside said they would be open 5pm to 8pm. We waiting until 5:15 & then went somewhere else.
They don't keep to posted hours. Attempted a couple of times now after work to eat here but they're always closed early. I give up.
Great place. I always get #34 pad kra pow. It's spicy and delicious!
This place is awesome! The atmosphere is low-key but the food is amazing! I love the pad Thai and the Penang curry! If youβre looking for Thai food this IS the place to go!!!

This restaurant was very good several years ago, not any longer. The food was bland and tasteless, I asked for spicy. Egg drop soup looked like dishwater, lukewarm, had a few pieces of egg. Won't return.
Delicious always! Very fresh food cooked to order and wonderful service! I get cravings for the pad thai.
Small business, she works hard. Food is good best if you go in off peak hours
I ordered my meal today and was so disappointed. I always try to find the best thai restaurant whenever I travel somewhere. But the food was so bland and barely had any spice for a 3 out of 5. I got the pad thai and I felt like I was eating Chinese style noodles with barely any spice and it was lacking in flavor completely. If you've ever had authentic thai food you would know this is not it. I wish I could give them a better review especially since it's the only thai restaurant in this city. I ate it because I was hungry and paid for it, but I definitely will not be returning.
Food is quite ok but the service (at least for takeout) is kind of rude and unfriendly. Has happened now multiple times. But, if you the only Thai restaurant in town and have no competition, unfortunately for the customer, you can afford such behavior. In a bigger city with more choices, people would walk away and go somewhere else.
Best place in town. GET THE PANANG CURRY!!!
I wouldn't come back. The water was decent but that's about it.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in town. And the food and gip customer service is outstanding. Definitely make sure to go at least once a week.
Good service & excellent food! Every time we leave here we are always fat & happy. Do yourself a favor & try it, you won't regret it!
It is one of the better restaurants that you can visit for Thai food
Place is closed up
Great egg rolls! Great fried wontons!
Food is bland the service is ok. They should play different music I almost fell as sleep while try to eat my food
This is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to get the food is delicious and extremely authentic.
Also you've got to get the tie to you if you go there couldn't recommend more.
Authentic Thai cuisine, delicious, well-prepared and served by efficient wait staff.
2nd time I've been here but been wanting to try it for more than 20 years. Nice small place, no thrills, but you get great food at low prices. Most expensive thing on the menu in 11 bucks. Lots of Thai staples and some Chinese for the less adventurous
Really good food and the Thai Tea was delicious!
Why they have so many "good reviews" is beyond me, because I don'trecommend them!
Have been to Thailand and many Thai restaurants but this one did not impress us. The curry was very bland, didn't taste at all like the curries I always get at other Thai restaurants. Not a nice atmosphere, old and run down. By the cash register they even have a sign to be careful for robbery. When we walked out of the restaurant in the evening it was pitch dark, no front door light or a sign that said "open". I would not recommend this place and we will not go back. Not worthwhile!
Nice place. Hours are kinda crazy but for $10 I had a nice plate of pad Thai chicken spicy three. This Thai food appears more authentic to me.
every time i eat here the food is always either really good or just normal. I am a fan of egg drop soup and seafood pad thai, the only time the pad thai wasnt good was when i ordered it to go. but iβve eaten here for many years and itβs still pretty good

Best Thai food in town.
Very serene, calm, wonderful food and great customer service.
They have HIGH CHAIRS y'all. Not just the wooden ones but actual high chairs with the tray. My little one loved it. I ordered the #34 which was delicious. The Pad Thai was not very tasty.
The Pad Thai was average. Certainly not comparable to any street stall in Bangkok.
My son the chicken satay expert said nothing to get excited about in that area.
My wife ordered the Chef Special and enjoyed her meal. This was take out dinner order. Plenty of parking as place was closing hour early with no explanation.
This is my brother and mines default lunch place. Love it.
One of my favorites in WF! Must try!
Good food
Delicious food! The place looks really sketchy on the inside, but this was our favorite place to eat in the area! You canβt leave without trying the Panang Curry
It was fast service and clean the food was K not very Thai flavors as Iβm used two but tasty just not really that good.
Amazing Tom Kha soup!
This is my favorite place to eat in the whole world! The food is very good but the joy is watching the ONE waitress do the ballets of serving, seating, taking orders and and refills all by herself with a smile on her face. The meals are EXTREMELY generous with portions and I always take home a doggie bag
Was closed for an extended holiday (4 weeks) without changing hours or posting on Google. This resulted in our driving to the restaurant and finding it closed. Could have saved me the drive..
Good thing was we went to Tai Bistro instead and found a great restaurant! Just wish we'd have not wasted time driving to here.
No idea about the food because I've never eaten here and probably won't unless I want Tai and Tai Bistro is closed.
Always amazing and friendly. Highly recommend the Thai tea
Best food
Has been my favorite for years. Very laid back atmosphere and great service. The food always comes out hot fast and on point.
Love this place.
Best Thai food I ever had. Pad Thai Seafood was amazing with the wontons as appetizer was amazing. Thai lady runs it so she doesn't dress up but the food is outstanding.
Worst service in town. Don't waste your time.
Tired to place a pick up order, was met with a lady who wasn't interested in serving me. As I complete my order she tells me to " rush yourself we close at 7.30" I asked about the page saying they close at 8 she answered with " will you be here before 7.30?" So I canceled my order and advise others to not waste your time. The service was rude, condescending and I didn't even get to eat.
Love it
I love this place. Very good food. Homey laid back atmosphere.
OMG! Best Thai food ever. I always go with Thai Spicy. Clear all your sinsus issues up asap
It was awesome
Great service but food could use a bit more flavor.
Awesome place
Service was not bad at all but the food was seriously lacking in terms of flavor.
Very very good
I really love this place! I often get the 4 color w/ fried rice, which was really good. But today, I tried the red curry & like it somewhat. I wish it was a little bit thicker though because it was just like eating soup. Also, very good for the price. :)
The service was super quick despite only one lady taking order, cashing out, & cleaning up. Seeing her run around makes me tired as well lol. Props to her!
The decorations reminds me of a great value Olive Garden, which I thought was funny considering the place serves Asian food.
Great food, reasonably priced, big selection. Best Asian food in town.
Good food and not to expensive.
Great Thai food that is not too expensive. I stick with the Pad Thai (most traditional dish), and choose a medium to spicy heat level.
What this place lacks in atmosphere for indoor dining makes up for with flavor and customer service. Fresh flavor with great options.
Always love the food! Their egg rolls are great if you like spicy, tell them to make it Thai spicy π
Slightly warmer than normal spicy! Awesome!
love this place.
Still very good. Gets 4 stars because it could use a renovation.
Very good food.
Best Thai food!
Thai Orchid hands down has the best Pad Thai. The spices are incredible and cooked to every palette. The owners are great and very accommodating. This is a place I visit every time I am in town.
Very good and reasonable. They use fresh herbs. They could stand to improve the restrooms
this place has the best Thai food around and the owners are the best people Iβve ever met and The food is absolutely delicious.
Even for a quick lunch that only cost $6.75. They made it from scratch i am very impressed. Fresh and tasty
I just love Thai food...very particular flavors π
The best Thai food, hands down!
Delicious! These fine people serve the best and crispiest spring rolls I've had, and they have great vegetarian options. Their curries and pad see ew are my personal favorites.
Not what I expected
I had some curry dish that was very good ! Waitress was awesome too !
A great find, lovely atmosphere and clearly taking social distancing seriously. Great spot for vegetarian food and very family friendly!
Always delicious and friendly!
Such a nice place, and the lady that waited on us works so hard - she needs some help!
Wonderful place. I love this place the owners are super friendly and the food is fantastic. It ain't fancy. Its comfortable!
Can't believe we are lucky enough to have a good Thai place in town. Just wish they had better hours
Visited Wichita falls and was not sure what was around for Thai food, but saw this online near where I was working. The decor is in need of an update. It apparently used to be an Italian or Venetian type place. It's got indoor arbors with Dusty grapevines hung everywhere. The food was mediocre. My red Thai curry was very yellow and watery, as if the coconut milk had deteriorated. The flavors were not the bright expressive ones that I usually find in Thai cuisine. My mom's tofu and broccoli dish was a little better, but still not up to par. The shining Star at this place was the service, with one very kind lady taking our orders and offering her attentiveness.
Favorite place in town. Great food, friendly service, reliable. Good vegetarian options without sacrificing flavor.
We love this place been eating here for more than 10 yrs now
I hadn't had this place in 10+ years until the other day, but eating there is like a new experience everytime. It's not very big, and there is only one waitress (one of the owners), but she works those little feet off to make sure you are happy. Fantastic food, homegrown spices, and lovely little store. Eat here. You have to.
Went there for my birthday dinner. The sign said they closed at 8 p.m. It was 7:30 p.m. They refused to seat us. Won't go back.
Great food! Well prepared and flavorful. Will make it a regular choice.
Good food, not too much expensive. But they close really early for dinner.
Incredible food and such kind staff. Support local businesses!!
Great place for Pad Thai
Great food, love Combination Fried Rice!
Good food, but the interior needs remodeling.
It'd be super cool if they implemented a heat scale. Not spicy enough at the standard +
Good good and very reasonable.
The best chicken pad thai.
One of my favorite restaurants in Wichita Falls!!
Amazing
Very friendly and great food.
I've been here several times, the food is well-priced, comes out quickly and is really good. The staff is very friendly.
Only place in Wichita Falls to get Thai food. Really enjoy their panang curry. Also good is the Hawaiian pineapple rice with shrimp. Place is outdated, but didn't let that fool you! The food is spot on. They offer lunch specials M-F. Priced good. Family run. Never disappointed!
Food is always fresh and deli is. Service is great!
Nice friendly atmosphere.
We went for lunch. The service was quick. We both loved the Pad Thai. Definitely would return.
Fantastic service. Fantastic staff. Fantastic food.
The whole family loves this place. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was the inside is less than desirable.
Food was very good and service was good also.
Very good food
Good food, great service at fair prices.
Excelente comida...
Food is good. I have had better Thai, but it is still a solid performance, say 3.5 stars.
The waitress (and, I suspect, co-owner), is perfect.
I don't know if the food was really good every time we go, or if we are always really hungry.
I've been several times, haven't had an empty plate when I was finished.
I can never remember what I ordered.
The green curry had a strong fish sauce taste. its usually a favorite dish at other thai restaurants. It might be just the way they make it here, but not for me.
My favorite Thai restaurant!
Egg drop. Drop top. Chicken fried rice with hot thot.
Outstanding as always. Service is great! I love the curry! Wonton soup is also outstanding! Hands down this is one of the best places to eat in Wichita Falls!!!
Awesome food.
It's my favorite place to eat in Wichita Falls. I have been going there since they opened. When ever we come in the owner/waitress gets our drinks and know what most of my family wants to eat. I change my mind and eat something different most of the time. I have yet had a bad meal here. I love everything about Thai Orchid.
