Very amazing food and kind service

Diner Review №4

The customer service was amazing and the menu selection was great!

Diner Review №5

The food here is very good, some of the best Thai I’ve had. I was rather disappointed in the Manager, pretty nice but pressured my husband into leaving a bigger tip. Like drilled him hard, “was your service good?” “Why did you leave this as a tip” “the servers only make so much”... Like begging bully. That was really bizarre to me. I will admit he is quite frugal and I often have to coach him on decent tips. I hadn’t realized what he left and I hope he has learned a valuable lesson but you should never tell someone their tip isn’t good enough. What if that was all he had. We spent our money at your establishment. I understand what you are trying to do, trust me I’ve had these conversations before but it’s not your place. You don’t know what people have. Tips are at the customers discretion. My coworker even told me when she went she paid 10% tip but when they saw that, they took the receipt back and added gratuity at 14%. I agree with the cause but totally disagree with your actions. I tried to keep things classy and I didn’t want to make a scene but I advise you not to do anything like this again.

Amazing meal great service and atmosphere chicken drunken noodles were so good

Diner Review №9

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai Town Restaurant, and I have to say, it was an excellent experience. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly spiced. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was well-prepared and bursting with authentic Thai flavors. The pad Thai was a standout, with just the right balance of sweet, salty, and tangy.

The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to ensure that we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal.

Overall, I highly recommend Thai Town Restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic Thai food with top-notch service. It's definitely a spot I'll be returning to!

Diner Review №10

Our first time here and we were even telling our kids this restaurant can be on our list but then the manager came and tell us they forgot to bill us minimum 18% gratuity for our party of 5 even thought we tipped 15%. We were like party of 5 has a minimum gratuity?! Ok not a big deal but it’s a big deal that you already rung up our credit card and we are about to leave and you want to “correct” the error for a few bucks? We definitely will not come back again. There are lots of restaurants nearby.

Diner Review №11

They are bribing ppl with a free drink for a google review.

The food was okay. Prices were kind of high and hidden. Protein selections were considered add-ons. Be careful cause a $10 item can become $15 based on meat selections.

Was a small bistro style restaurant.
Acoustics were horrible. Too loud for a restaurant, imho. The layout did not help dampen noises.

One thing I found irritating is that they charged $1 for some thai peppers. What? It's literally a condiment for thai food. Imagine a western restaurant charging for a serving of ketchup\salt\pepper.

Diner Review №12

Very good food and fast service!

Diner Review №13

Great place for lunch! Service was great and food was excellent. We will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai Town, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers an array of delicious halal cuisine that truly stands out. Every dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the rich and diverse tastes of Thai cuisine.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure that every guest had a wonderful dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

Overall, Thai Town is a fantastic place to enjoy flavorful, authentic Thai food with the added benefit of halal options. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Great! Will visit again

Diner Review №18

The servers were super friendly!

Diner Review №19

The food was great. I was having a wonderful time, my mom took me out for my birthday. After we paid, I planned to leave a cash tip for the waitress who had served us as the money doesn’t always go to them. However, the owner I think came out and insisted we had to pay an 18% service tip, as it was their policy even though it wasn’t in the original bill. I explained we intended to leave cash, but she told me no, and that we had to sign it off because they had forgotten to include it.i have always paid tip in cash and didn’t understand why this was becoming an issue. It really ruined the experience & my night and I'm not even sure if that tip went to the waitress.

Diner Review №20

Always have great service and love the food here! This is our top Thai spot in Sugar Land now. It does get packed during peak hours, so there can be a wait. No reservations, only walk ins, so don’t waste your time calling in.
Pad See Ew beef, Basil fried rice, cashew chicken are my go to’s every time. Other dishes I’ve tired there are also good.

Diner Review №21

Had the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, really flavorful. Service was excellent!

The staff is extremely friendly and provided good service. I order the seafood mix green curry with level 2 spicy. The creaminess of the coconut milk blended well with the spiciness and hint of sweetness. It was really flavourful. I would recommend coming here. The was satay chicken tasty too. Will definitely be coming back to try different dishes.

Your camera records voices, right? Please check the camera. tearing up? what? What did I even say other than I want my check, and I will just pay and go, I never raised my voice to your employees. Yelling, omg... I even told your manager not to be sorry it is not your fault. I just want to pay and go.. and I paid for the full bill. Yes, I got frustrated a little bit because I had to say, "I want my bill let me please pay and go. I want to go.." like 5 times...until finally she brought the bill.. And your manager pressed $0 tip and told me it's ok. I took care of the tip.. omg... so it's my fault now??? I had a bite of an appetizer and paid for a full bill of $ 106.. so after all this, and even the manager entered $0 tip to the pad I had to leave the tip to a rude lady who kept showing attitude and rolling her eyes? I don't mind paying for food because I ordered the food. I just didn't want to stay there after losing my appetite. Well... please, please check your camera and see who is lying at least.. before you tell your customers to go get help. omg... you guys are missing point here. We were upset because of the rude attitude from the server. And it made us very uncomfortable and wanted to leave.

Diner Review №34

not only is the service so bad because after confirming MULTIPLE times, still getting it wrong, the customers next to us is cussing at us for asking to correct our order. spending over $100 and asking for my food to have the ingredients it comes with is wrong? not only the server rolling her eyes even though she made the mistakes, racist rude customers cussing during our meal made us lose our appetite. dont worry we still paid for ALL the food we didnt eat, just made us lose our appetite with all the back and forth and cussing going on.

___________

review update 2/13/25

1.check your cameras, we did NOT cuss at your server, NOT ONCE. never called her names. she was rolling her eyes at us MULTIPLE TIMES hiding behind the manager. not tried to apologize ONCE but kept rolling her eyes at us.

if its her first day at work, shouldnt you have been the one taking our order? and after mentioning the issue over 4 times while ordering MAYBE realize that a simple thing as bean sprouts is important?

2. why are you lying? our bill was $100 and some change lol. when did you comp what? just because this is public why are you lying?

3. derogatory comments? are you joking? there was a table with kids there. if your other customer didnt cuss at us as leaving with kids present we would have sat down and ate. rather than trying to fix the issue, you kept telling your server to go back as she was rolling her eyes at us instead of apologizing.

go seek professional help? after a long stressful day, we went to thai town to enjoy a good meal and after asking us how we wanted our pad thai 4 times AND repeating our order multiple times because she couldnt input all our appetizers in her ipad... AND having a nasty table where we got sauce on our napkins, and hands and a dirty plate she had to replace for us, her rolling her eyes at us was just the cherry on top.

get your facts straight. we never cussed or screamed at your server. we wanted to leave because we wanted to eat and after her rolling her eyes at us 3 times why would we sit there and eat? why? spending over 100 why? and your manager pressed 0 tip.

so before you post lies on this public platform. go watch your camera and get your facts straight.

I just had the pleasure of enjoying a monthly girls' night out at Thai Town Restaurant, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Our waiter, JAY, truly stood out with his exceptional service—he was not only respectful and kind, but also incredibly patient as we navigated through the menu.

JAY's suggestions were spot-on, and we decided to try the highlighted dishes he recommended. Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation, and we savored every bite.

I wholeheartedly recommend Thai Town Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I can’t wait to return, this time bringing my family along to share in the joy of this culinary gem!

I recently visited Thaitown Restaurant in Sugar Land, and it was an excellent experience! The food was incredibly flavorful, with fresh ingredients and authentic Thai spices. I tried their Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup, both of which were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The portions were generous, and everything was beautifully presented.

The service was also top-notch. T and Ness are attentive and friendly, making sure our drinks were always topped off and that we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and I could tell the staff genuinely cares about the customer experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Thaitown for anyone craving delicious Thai food with great service. I'll definitely be back!

Diner Review №54

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. While the food itself was fine, the way the staff handled our situation was unacceptable. There was a mix-up with our group size—we originally gave the wrong number, and a few more people joined us later. We understand that this was partially on us, but it wasn’t anything major that should have caused such an issue.

When we arrived, they told us they couldn’t add an extra table because it would block the entrance, which seemed reasonable at first. But after a lot of back-and-forth, they ended up squeezing in a table anyway—except now, some of us were awkwardly placed right in front of an exit while others were stuck near the restroom. It was an uncomfortable setup, and when we asked if we could split into two tables and even pay separately, they flat-out refused. Their stance was ridiculous: either we all sat together in a cramped space, or they wouldn’t serve us at all.

This pointless argument dragged on for nearly an hour. At that point, we wanted to just leave and eat somewhere else, but most of our group was visiting from out of town, and we didn’t have time to start searching for another place. We had no choice but to stay and deal with their awful service.

At the end of the day, good food doesn’t make up for being treated so poorly. The way they handled everything was unprofessional, unreasonable, and frankly, a complete waste of our time. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

Diner Review №55

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. While the food was decent, the service was absolutely terrible. There was some confusion about the size of our group, which led to an issue with seating. Instead of handling it professionally, the staff made the situation much worse.

At first, they refused to add an extra table, claiming it wasn’t possible. But after wasting a lot of time arguing with us, they finally did—only to place it in a way that left some of us uncomfortably seated right next to the restroom. When we asked if we could simply sit at two separate tables and even pay separately, they refused. Their stance was absurd: either we all squeezed into one congested table, or they wouldn’t serve us at all.

By the time this pointless debate was over, we wanted to leave, but we had already wasted too much time dealing with their attitude. We had no choice but to stay.

A restaurant’s service matters just as much as the food, and this place completely failed in that regard. The way they treated us was unprofessional and unnecessarily difficult. I wouldn’t go back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

Diner Review №56

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. While the food was good, the service was absolutely terrible. There was a miscalculation with the number of people in our group—partly due to an initial mistake on our end, as we gave an incorrect number and had a few additional people join us. However, this was not a huge issue or something that should have led to the treatment we received.

Initially, the staff said they couldn’t add an extra table in front of the door due to safety reasons, which made sense. However, after a long argument, they eventually did place a table—but in a way that left some of us sitting in front of an exit and others right by the toilet. When we asked for a proper separate table, we even suggested splitting into two groups with separate bills, but they refused. Instead, they insisted they wouldn’t serve us at all unless we all sat at one congested table, which was completely unreasonable. Rather than handling the situation professionally, they wasted nearly an hour arguing with us and even threatened not to serve us.

We wanted to leave and dine elsewhere, but since most of our group was traveling from out of town and they had already wasted so much of our time, we couldn’t afford to spend even more searching for another restaurant. We had no choice but to stay and endure the poor service.

A restaurant’s atmosphere and service are just as important as the food, and unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values good customer service and a pleasant dining experience.

Diner Review №57

The food was really good close enough to authentic Thai food and the service was amazing will definitely come back

Diner Review №58

Delicious food that was served promptly. The Chicken pad thai was wonderfully seasoned. 10/10

Diner Review №59

they used to be good but lately gotten worse and worse. you can get better thai food at a better price + better portion elsewhere. beware of their mandatory 18% service charge. (no wonder service is terrible)

Diner Review №60

This place is such a vibe ✨ From the intimate seating all the way to the service and food.
Our server has said yes to all my request. Staff are very pleasant and attentive. The food is flavourful and is Halal 💕. Thank you for making our experience amazing.

Diner Review №61

The crispy fish in the garden was definitely not worth the price .
It was deeply fried in a way we were not able to get the taste .expensive and no taste .
The pad thai noodle also was sticky and strange .
Other dishes especially appetizers and red curry are tasty .

visited 2 months ago & everything was good.
Went again last night & super disappointed. They Cut Portions to HALF. Had a 20 bill on table for tip & they still decide to ADD an automated tip to my bill which is ridiculous. Service was horrible, They came up to me 5 times within 15 minutes to pay the bill while i was sitting there talking with my friend. Felt like i was being pushed out after robbed of 80$ for MID food. Save your money & time don’t go here. Most likely Will NOT be returning.
Also every single curry has triple the amount of vegetables than Meat. I’m eating Feel like i’m eating Vegetable curry not Chicken curry

Diner Review №67

I had a great take-out experience at this Thai spot the first time — the food was delicious and the flavors were on point, which is why I decided to get take-out today. Unfortunately, my second visit was really disappointing. I found a hair in my food, the rice tasted starchy (not like the first time), and all my dishes had egg in them, despite specifically asking for no egg. Thankfully, I’m not allergic, but it’s still something to be cautious about.

I even ordered extra rice today because I loved their curry the first time, but it wasn’t as good this time around. In the end, I spent around $55 on food that I couldn’t really enjoy. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be coming back after this experience. Such a waste of money, especially when the first visit was so promising.

First time we ordered -
Spicy garlic edamame (not on the menu, but you can ask for it)
Chicken satay
Thai red curry (comes with steamed rice)
Drunken noodles
Basil fried rice

Second time we ordered-
Thai red curry (ordered extra steamed rice)
Drunken noodles (only edible dish this time)
Basil fried rice

To tell someone you must tip 18%… crazy. Be grateful i left 15%.. server had such lousy service.

Diner Review №70

Enjoyed my Pad see eew with chicken and chicken gyoza!

Diner Review №71

I have been eating at Thai Town regularly about one time per week for lunch and i'm above and beyond 5 stars happy with their restaurant. First off, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very modern and clean. The staff go out of their way to make sure your water is filled promptly and that your drink order is fulfilled. I typically order their Pad Kee Mao (Drunken noodles) with either squid or chicken. I love spicy food - the hotter the better. This restaurant is one of the few that I have seen that offers an "extra Thai hot" option and if you are bold, give it a try. Their Tom Yum soup with shrimp is worth ordering as a start. The flavors are bold, satisfying, and the ingredients are fresh! Also, I recommend their lunch menu options which comes with an entree and a salad or soup. I have tried their thai yellow curry lunch special with chicken and the item is BURSTING with flavor! This place is the best thai food I have had in all of the Houston area. You might find places that are less expensive, but they will disappoint you on the flavor side and portions.

Diner Review №72

The food was excellent; however, the service fell short of expectations. Firstly, I specifically requested that all dishes be non-spicy, yet the main course was quite spicy. Additionally, the staff seemed to rush us throughout the meal. While we were still eating, the waitress approached to ask if we were ready for the bill, and shortly after, a waiter attempted to clear our plate even though there was still food on it. To add to the discomfort, the bill was placed on our table without us requesting it. This all occurred despite the fact that we were neither lingering nor eating slowly, and the restaurant was not crowded. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

UPDATED———- 1/20/25
I usually try a place twice or three times at least to get a good gauge on the review. Today I decided to pop in and give the beef salad another shot. And I’m glad I did! The food was outstanding and SPICY. The servers were outstanding!!! Sticky rice was on point.

So this is moving up to 5 star legit level and I will be back.

I’m going to leave parts of my older review just to be fair. I think I must of either caught them on an off day or it was just new and they were working the kinks out.

——————/—/—-/ First review——

The food was ok. Just ok. There are two Thai restaurants with in a mile that are way better.

My main problem is the service.

The two guys running the front simply can not keep up with the crowd and the only reason there was a crowd was because it’s new. That will wear
Off fast.

Better Thai with better service all around here.

Diner Review №74

Best Thai food ever, & it’s halal, so even BETTER!! The staff is super friendly and everyone is nice and the food is yum, I love the chicken pad Thai and the tum ka soup. I also enjoy getting the special drink they have, the Thaitini, it’s super yummy as well. No wonder this place is always full on the weekends!

Diner Review №75

Food was delicious. But some servers has an attitude when order the second time. That was only 1-2 waiters. Rest were very helpful and nice.

Diner Review №76

Update (12/23/24): I’m not sure if it was because we came during the holidays but the food tasted watered down, especially the curry. Husband’s basil stir-fry had raw green beans. Their lunch special includes salad with ranch dressing (seriously?) and no other dressing options and miso soup (at a Thai restaurant?). Probably won’t return unless some significant changes are made. Best Thai place to go to in Sugar Land is Thai Thumbz just down the street.
.
.

This is in the former location of Silom Station. Food was very good! I’ll be back. I enjoyed the chicken drunken noodle and the red curry chicken. Portions were slightly smaller than Silom Station’s but prices are a bit lower too. The chicken was a bit dry and tasted like it was precooked but it was acceptable. All other flavors were on point. Glad to have a good Thai restaurant nearby!

Diner Review №78

Thai Town has long been a favorite for fans of Thai cuisine, known for its vibrant flavors and generous portions. Initially, diners were treated to a delightful array of dishes that truly showcased the essence of Thai cooking. The larger portion sizes were a definite plus, making it a great value for those looking to indulge.
However, it seems there has been a shift in recent visits. Many patrons have noticed that the food has become a bit bland compared to what they remembered. Additionally, the portion sizes appear to be shrinking, which can be disappointing for those hoping for the same hearty meals they once enjoyed.
Another point of contention is the automatic 18% tip that is added for small tables. While tipping is standard practice, this policy can feel a bit excessive, especially for smaller groups who may not require the same level of service as larger parties and a $100 bill for a party two is bit pricey.
Overall, while Thai Town still has potential, it may benefit from returning to its roots in terms of flavor and portion size. It would be great to see them address these concerns to maintain their loyal customer base.

Diner Review №79

We catered vegetarian food for a private event at our house. Food quality is very good, everyone enjoyed food and provided positive feedback. Quantity of food for catering is half of what we ordered, half tray had one fourth tray, full tray was half full. Very disappointed about quantity of food given, we had to call them after seeing the quantity and paid for another full order (with 50% discount). When we count number of people (40) and quantity we ordered, it matches count, however quantity of food is not enough in my opinion.

Here comes owner to save the event for the day. Cook was gracious enough to make food within an hour and deliver to our house right before the event, very thankful for taking care of us.

If you are ordering for catering, please check on quantity, even though number of people is matched per total food ordered, I believe quantity is not enough. I never experienced with any other restaurant previously, if I order full tray I normally full tray of food.

We went to this chines restaurant thinking it would be a HALAL restaurant but upon arrival found out sign say,Halal option available , I don’t think it will be a good place for Muslims

Diner Review №82

Food is great but ordering online seems to be an issue. We use the doordash option which is one of the *many* options they have when you click to order online. Each time we've ordered they seem to never have our order and we've waited for over an hour for our food. Maybe don't set all those options up if you're not going to monitor them? 🤷‍♀️

Diner Review №87

I absolutely loved my meal and the portions are just perfect

Diner Review №88

Food tasted good but the prices were ridiculous for the serving size.
We ordered a satay and they gave us 4 mini sticks of satay for $10.

We wanted to celebrate a birthday, I had asked them to save the cake in the fridge, when I asked them for it, they literally just gave it back to me in the plastic bag. I don’t know of any other restaurant who does that.

We decided to cut the cake right outside the restaurant cz it got pretty crowded in there. One of the attendants with a pony tale was really nice, but the male and another tall female kept giving each other glances in front of us when we requested for extra disposables for the cake as if that would affect them or the profit of the restaurant but it did affect our experience.

Excellent customer service and proper training is so important to give customers a positive experience and to retain them.
Food was quite good though, so no complaints there.

Diner Review №89

I recently visited Thai Town Eatery and Bar for my first-ever experience with Thai cuisine, and it was absolutely delightful! I tried the Pad Thai, Tom Yum, and Thai rice, and all three dishes were bursting with flavor. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced—savory with just the right hint of sweetness. The spicy soup had an amazing kick without being overwhelming, and the Thai rice was aromatic and delicious.

As someone new to Thai food, I appreciated how approachable the dishes were while still being authentically bold. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to explore more of their menu on my next visit! Highly recommend this place for anyone, whether you're a Thai food lover or trying it for the first time.

Diner Review №90

Easily the best halal Thai restaurant in the greater Houston area I've tried. The restaurant itself is well kept and decorated nicely. The service is friendly and attentive. It is quite busy so perhaps calling in advance for reservations is smart thing to do. Tried a few items including the beef pad kee mao (Thai drunken noodles) and absolutely loved it. One of the best I've ever had anywhere. Good portion size and food meet quantity. Also tried a couple of Curry's including the Thai green curry, the red curry and the Thai pa-nang. Really liked them all but the Thai pa-nang absolutely stole the show. Very flavorful and good spice level. The presentation is solid as well. All in all, highly recommended. One final comment, while the restaurant is halal, they do serve alcohol.

Diner Review №91

Definitely recommend this place, especially for lacto-vegetarians! The night was busy, but the staff was very friendly, attentive, and professional. An associate, T, did an amazing job making our mocktail as well as getting our order in a timely fashion and checking in on us. We look forward to visiting this location again!

Diner Review №95

I would definitely not recommend going to Thai Town. I had one of the worst dining experiences ever. When me and my friend walked in we asked for seats near the window and our server said no. She gave some excuse that I don’t remember. I thought when you go to a restaurant you can seat wherever you want especially if there are plenty of open seats and they are not reserved. The table she offered to us wasn’t even clean before hand. The server got my order wrong the first time when she was taking our order. We ordered our appetizers and main course at the same time. We got our appetizers pretty quickly. Then after a while we started wondering where our main course was. We started looking around like where is our food because it shouldn’t take too long to prepare 2 pad thais. It felt like 30 minutes had passed since we put in our order and we still hadn’t gotten it yet. I tried to get the server’s attention several times but I guess she didn’t see me. When we finally got her attention we asked where our food was and she said she would go check. When she got back to us she said it would be out soon. Finally after getting our food over 30 to 40 minutes later, I think it was closer to 40 I asked her why our order took so long. She told my friend it was because they only had one chef in the kitchen working so service would be slower but everyone was getting their food quicker than us. The couple that came in after us got their food before us. The mother/ daughter who came after us got their food before us. I was the one that asked the question about why did our order take so long and instead of replying to me she replied to my friend instead. When we finally got the food I was not impressed. It smelled funny and made me feel nauseous. I tried eating it but I could not take more than a few bites. I think I had lost my appetite by the time they finally brought us our food. I ended up throwing the food away. As I was paying for our food with my credit card I did not want to add my tip electronically I wanted to pay by cash so my friend was going to give a a nice tip by cash even though they did not deserve the amount we were going to give. So this restaurant automatically charges you an 18% gratuity. I was forced to pay the gratuity because if I didn’t they would have automatically taken it from my card. Mind you it was just the 2 of us. We asked why is it done this way and they said it was their policy. They said this policy is posted on the front entrance of the restaurant and on the exit door. Me and my friend felt so disgusted by this illegal practice. How can you force people to tip a certain amount? It’s not like we weren’t going to tip, we just wanted to do it in cash. The tip difference between what we were giving in cash and the 18% gratuity was like 38 cent. It would have been nice to let us know this policy ahead of time because to be honest the only time I check what’s written on a restaurant door is when I want to know the hours of operation and I’m certainly not checking to see what is written on an exit door. Just poor management and customer service on their part. Hopefully the manager won’t respond to me in a combative manner like she usually does to such reviews like this and actually offer real solutions.

Diner Review №96

My son and I had a really nice dinner tonight. Almost every seat in the house was packed. The food was delicious and it was served quickly and fresh. The leftovers were even better the next day. If you have friends who don’t know if they like Thai food, this is a great first place to take them. Get the appetizer stack thing and let them try different flavors. We very much enjoyed our evening and the staff was fantastic.

Diner Review №97

This place feels like a potential scam, and I strongly recommend avoiding it.
• Watered-down food: The dishes were bland and diluted, served in ridiculously small portions that felt like a rip-off.
• Cramped space: The restaurant is overcrowded with tables squeezed in so tightly it seems unsafe or below basic standards.
• Suspicious practices: Some items appeared to be resold from other places at heavily marked-up prices, adding no value. This practice feels questionable and borderline unethical.
• Deceptive pricing: While the menu prices might seem average, the subpar quality and tiny portions make it a poor deal overall.
• Mandatory gratuity: A 15-20% gratuity was forced onto the bill, even for a party of just one or two people. I’ve never encountered this anywhere else, and it felt excessive and potentially exploitative.

They also pay for your drink to leave review, I have seen it somewhere else but this typically leads me to not trust reviews in general. Overall, this place operates in a way that feels shady and untrustworthy. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a potential scam imported from elsewhere. Avoid at all costs.

FYI! While I appreciate owner’s response to my review, the details provided doesn’t align with my party. Likely more disappointed customers. Thanks

Awesome and Amazing Quality Service!! Always a smile on our server face. I'm HaPpY to advise this restaurant! Great Food, Excellent Service!

Diner Review №99

the nicest people works here. service is very attentive and accommodative . Nest was our server and we loved her

Diner Review №102

Amy was very rude to my wife…My wife asked for some chilly sauce and Amy was very rude about the situation the food was good but Amy made our visit really unpleasant

Diner Review №103

Amy the supposed manager is very rude and has no customer service. That little cup on the pic was half full and when asked could she fill it she made it a big deal and was rude and condescending in response that my 19 dollar meal didn’t warrant that half cup and giving it too me was a favor. But what’s crazy had I ate there I would’ve gotten a whole bowl of it at my table for free so it confused me. It was a couple behind me that chose too leave after her approach too me. I want ever come back. Thanks Amy

Beautiful restaurant and the food also looks really delicious. Definitely check it out if you are visiting the sugarland area.

Good food, service could be little better

Diner Review №108

Good service. Good food quality and quantity. Loved the pinnacle freid rice. It was seasoned properly. Tofu, for some reason, was cold. Almost returned the dishes.

Diner Review №109

Very good food great quality but probably need a bigger indoor space due to many customers coming in now also good price will be back for more

Diner Review №110

Diner Review №111

Food was nasty manager is rude. She deserves to be reported to the BBB. We’ll never eat at this place again.

Diner Review №112

The food was great! The pad Thai had a great flavor and the spice added a good dimension to the food without making it inedible. I got a 4 which was pretty spicy. The red curry was one of the best I’ve tried, but the lunch deal portion was a little smaller than the standard order.

Diner Review №113

They had a lunch deal 12-3PM M-F for certain entrees (+soup or salad) for $12.95. I got the red curry with soup and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor! Looking at other people’s dishes, I think the lunch deal gives you significantly less portions but the taste was still really good. The pad Thai I enjoyed a lot as well. The flavor is on the stronger side. We got spice level 4 for both dishes and they definitely have a spicy kick. I handle spicy food very well but my friend was struggling quite a bit.

“Great experience! The food was flavorful and perfectly cooked, being a standout. The service was friendly and efficient by T making the visit even better. Highly recommend!”

Diner Review №128

When we got in the place was very busy. Despite that we got seated pretty fast. The service was exceptional and the food even better! We got chicken satay and cream cheese golden bag for appetizers and then drunken noodles and massumam curry for the dish. All of them were exceptional. Would definitely come again

Diner Review №129

The food was really good. We got the drunken noodles and massuman curry

Diner Review №130

We were looking for a good Thai restaurant in the Sugarland/Richmond Tx area and this place really exceeded our expectations. As we walked in we were seated immediately. The interior is modern & clean with a cozy vibe. Considering how busy this restaurant is during lunch time our food came out quickly. Overall, the food was quite delicious. We ordered several dishes including the Pad Thai, kids noodles/Pad See Eew, Whole Garlic Fried Fish, Thai Fried Rice, Crispy Spring Rolls, Red Thai Curry Beef, and Thai Tea. Everything was phenomenal with the Pad See Eew and Whole Garlic Fried Fish being exceptional and our personal favorites. Its definitely a must if you are considering trying this restaurant. It won’t disappoint!!

Diner Review №133

Love the food! Always delicious, so we come here often Love that it's halal! Can't wait for next time!

Diner Review №134

The food is good, but disguising an 18% tip as a service charge for a party of 2 is not a good look.

Diner Review №135

Aaliya did an amazing job. She was attentive, energetic, and made sure she gave us personal attention even though she had a lot of tables that she was serving. The food was great and the service was exceptional.

Diner Review №136

What a fantastic place! The food is so, so good. We could not stop eating till we were full!!! So delicious. The flavors are impressive. Just the right amount of spice, crunch and flavors.

The restaurant is cute and vibe matched our feelings. Loved it here!

Ms T was awesome and took good care of us! We will definitely be back for more.

Diner Review №140

Jui and Chelsea was great. Great ambience and great food. I’ve been coming here twice a week. Crab fried rice, shrimp dumplings, and they charge a great price for the wines. I always get one liter Caymus here for great price. I Recommend for anyone who’s looking for good Thai food in Sugar Land that is also Halal!!

Diner Review №141

Really exceptional and delicious food! Great service and atmosphere. Thanks to Jui for his wonderful service!

Diner Review №142

Excellent food and customer service, special thanks to our server, Jui. He recommended us several dishes, including the Tom Kham soup, which was phenomenal.

Diner Review №143

Food was just warm. No serving spoon and dishes-utensils with food. We ask after few minutes.

Diner Review №144

food was good tasted amazing and the portions were good too

Diner Review №145

The noodles are too sweet. Wish they had the sweetness level options too

Diner Review №146

Diner Review №148

Pretty decent food. I've been to Thailand and love Thai food. Ordered the family trays for rice, drunken noodles as well as all types of curries. Red green yellow penang etc.

Everything was pretty good. Took take out maybe that's why the fried items were a bit not fresh. Satay was a bit bland for my taste and the peanut sauce and the other one were too sweet.

Highly recommend this place.

Diner Review №149

Good food

Diner Review №150

Looks amazing tastes amazing

Diner Review №151

FOOD WAS SO GOODTHIS SATISFIED MY CRAVING PLS DONT HESITATE TO TRY THIS PLACE, AMAZING SERVICE 2

Diner Review №152

Food flavor is great!
Some scope for improvements-
Tom yum could have the authentic thai greens, it's now reduced to broccoli and normal veggies.
We loved the fried rice and noodles..
Seating is not the best, sometimes u need to settle sitting close to the door on a small table!
Been there twice, the second time they charged aus 18% gratuity! Simply because we ordered after 8.30 pm, upon receiving the check, we were told they charged us this coz we ordered after 8.30(the restaurant is open until 9pm) without our consent and without prior notice, we end up paying $80+ for a dinner of two plus one 7 year old kid.
I would be better off spending my money elsewhere at competitive malaysian and thai restaurants..

Diner Review №153

Delicious, Authentic Cuisine. Exceptionally poised and considerate staff. A mush needed addition to the houston halal food scene.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated and filled to the brim!
Chicken satay, drunken noodles, and red curry were all 10/10.

Diner Review №154

Most rude and arrogant staff with zero tolerance to kids . They shout and yell at the kids like they have never seen one before. Horrible place

Diner Review №159

Diner Review №160

Kat was our server and she was great! Loved the red curry (medium spice) and chicken satay

Diner Review №161

Love the pad thai and red curry. Kat is the best server!!

Diner Review №162

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Went for the first time and tried their lunch menu. Tried the yellow & red curry. Love the red curry. Excellent place for a quality lunch with friends.

Diner Review №163

Good

Diner Review №164

We had the shrimp dumplings, red Thai curry, fried rice, and drunken noodles. Everything was great! Flavors on point and the best part, it’s halal.

Diner Review №165

Great atmosphere, but my Thai family looked at the food and wondered if the chef had actually ever seen the dishes before preparing them. Dishes drowning in liquid that are supposed to be relatively dry, flavors that didn't belong...I won't say it was necessarily bad, but questionably Thai. Prefer literally all the long standing Thai places nearby over this, including the Thai place this replaced. They seem to be doing quite well though, so they're succeeding at something.

Diner Review №166

Overall the food was really good (not the best but close enough to recommend). Service was all over the place and wasn't sure who was waiting on me or not. Small inside and the tables are on top of each other but it is decorated nice.

Diner Review №167

changing my great review to a 1 star. my sister, my wife and i came die dinner last wednesday Nov 13th . had dinner there . owner/mgr were great as always . food was good also. my sister gave them cash. the young fell waiter gave change and took out the tip. my sister always give greta tip but noticed we only had 3 people so why automatically take out the tip . she asked him and he told us it was the restaurant policy . restaurant policy ? i don't think so S we were there many times but paid by cc and n we had tips taken out automatically for 2/3 people Z think the young fella saw cash and pocket the money. if this is not the case and id it is the restaurant policy then shame on the management . not only did the young fella lost the extra tip that my sister would have given him, but the restaurant lost a regular customer . this is not cool !!!

Diner Review №177

I have been to Thai town 4 times this week alone. This is the most fresh Thai food I’ve ever had. The service is amazing, everyone is so nice and helpful. I’ve basically tried everything on the menu and it never disappoints. The ambiance is amazing as well. It’s a great spot for lunch or even for a nice dinner. They have a cute bar area with a really nice selection of Japanese whiskey! Please try, you won’t regret it !

Diner Review №178

This is an amazing place! The food is fresh and flavorful. The servers and manager are attentive. We can't wait to come back here!

Diner Review №179

New place in Sugar Land. The food was heavenly. It is always nice to try a new spot, but the service was incredible and the waitresses were just nice and kind (which just made the meal so much more enjoyable). Try the drunken noodles! Can't wait to come back!

Diner Review №180

Can't say how good the food and the service is here. Stopped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was top notch and we will definitely be back.

Diner Review №181

We had a large to go
Order and Kat took
The time to make sure all items were there prior to giving it to us. She noticed one item was missing and fixed it alleviating a trip for me to come back. Great service, super polite and thoughtful.

Diner Review №182

My wife and I visited Thailand a few months back and had authentic Thai tea over there. Ever since we returned back home, we’ve been on a side quest to search for some authentic Thai tea and let me tell you.. I think we hit the jackpot. This is hands down the closest you’ll get to Thai tea straight from Thailand itself. You gotta try it and thank me later 🤝🏼

Diner Review №183

Really enjoyed the drunken noodles !1--!1!

Diner Review №184

Thai Town is hands down the best Thai food in the Sugarland area! The flavors are authentic and vibrant--From the appetizers to the main courses, each bite is packed with the perfect balance of spices and ingredients. What truly sets Thai Town apart is the welcoming atmosphere!! The owners are incredibly nice and genuinely care about each guest’s experience, making you feel like part of the family. Plus, they have a full bar so you can enjoy a delicious cocktail or a refreshing Thai beer along with your food. If you’re looking for exceptional Thai food/ hospitality in Sugarland, Thai Town is your place :)

Diner Review №185

Tasteless food. Tom yum tastes like water with boiled tomatoes and chicken inside. Horrible. So disappointed.

Diner Review №186

This place was very busy on a Sunday night, being Sugarland there was a big Muslim crowd. However, I found it odd that there was an alcoholic drink section. We ordered the appetizer combo. The egg roll and the cheese rolls were perfectly cooked and the sauces were perfect.

Diner Review №187

Thai Town is our go-to spot in Sugar Land, and for good reason. The food is consistently delicious, with authentic flavors and generous portions. The Pad See Eew and red curry are standouts, always satisfying our cravings. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place for a casual dinner. Service is friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality Thai cuisine!

Diner Review №188

Amazing food and service! Will definitely come again!!

Diner Review №190

Exceptional Thai food in Sugar Land. The whole fried snapper was amazing, the drunken noodles and pad thai are the best in Houston. I've visited Thailand, and this is comparable to the best I've had there.

Diner Review №194

This was our first visit to Thaitown! The food was amazing and the staff was courteous and attentive. Great service!

Diner Review №195

This restaurant was alot different then the other restaurants I have tried. The food was very good and unique. I like the curry egg noodle it was really unique were we had to break the noodles. The service was also really good. The other dishes we ordered were also good too. I will probably come back and try new dishes overall a great place to try!!!

Diner Review №196

Upon entering the establishment, we were pleasantly greeted by a charming woman who kindly showed us to our table. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which created a welcoming ambiance. My brother and I decided to order the Thai drunken noodles and khao soi, and to our delight, our dishes arrived remarkably quickly within ten minutes. The food was served fresh and steaming hot, and the curry flavors in both dishes were creamy and savory, with a subtle hint of citrus from the lime. The meal was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't resist ordering the mango and sweet sticky rice dessert afterward. The creamy coconut milk, combined with the fresh slices of mango, created a harmonious blend of milky and sweet flavors. The warm, sticky rice melted in my mouth, making for a truly delightful dessert experience. The price was also reasonable and proportionate to the size of the dishes served, making it a worthwhile investment. The waitress was incredibly kind and patient with us as we deliberated over our choices, which we greatly appreciated.
