Thai fusion Cuisine. Scratch family recipe's
my Pad Si Ew was delicious. My broccoli was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it. The steamed tofu was very good. The waiter asked me how spicy I wanted my food. I appreciate that. It seems fewer Thai restaurants are doing this anymore. I do wish my food was served on a plate and not in a foil lined paper tray.
Super cool place.
Its Thai-American Fusion. I had a great Cobb Salat to go and my friend had a sandwich. It took a little longer to make but it was good food. They have an inside and outside area. Outside they even have the option for live music. I think next time I’d go I’d order something Thai instead, seams like thats more the move.
we really liked the food, the history, and the Rose’s are wonderful. Super chill, friendly and they make great food. We had the new appetizer, green curry, pad kee mao and mango sticky rice. All was super good. We will definitely be back.
super gluten free friendly for being Asian food!
My first experience with Rosie's Kitchen, and I am tremendously impressed ! I ordered the yellow curry chicken for delivery, and while the initial order had delicious veggies, it was light on chicken. I called to let them know, and the owner herself answered the phone. She was incredibly kind and genuinely apologetic. Without hesitation, she asked for my address and personally brought me a fresh order right to my door! Who does that anymore?
The level of care and attention she showed blew me away. The food was delicious and satisfying, but the real standout was the extraordinary customer service. That personal touch and willingness to go above and beyond made this experience unforgettable. Thank you, Rosie! Your business has moved way up to one of our favorites in no time!
Update...I ate almost the ENTIRE tub of this chicken in one sitting! It is AMAZING!!
Nice service, the man who is assume is the owner clearly appreciates his customers. Pad thai and egg rolls were good and fresh. I like the byob aspect of the place. The music they play here is really chill and not overwhelming like a lot of places you go in austin. I felt like I could relax in some peace and quiet, which is exactly what I needed.
My girlfriend and I placed a to go order here. We got the red curry and pad kee mao. We eat a lot of Thai food and this is up there with some of the best we’ve had in Austin. The outdoor seating area was charming. We’re excited to come back and dine there next visit

Best pad Thai I’ve had in Austin. Immaculate vibes, friendly service, quaint atmosphere, excellent music
Wonderful food from a fantastic place that really cares! Sadly, Delivery Driver confusion caused delivery problems- So Rose went above and beyond to make sure the special celebration meal arrived! It was for our daughter & family on her 1st day back to work after having a baby! We were ordering from West Texas- 6 hours away! Rose intervened and the food arrived fresh and delicious! We highly recommend, and will order again soon and often!

One of the best Thai food restaurants in the Austin area. Family owned and operated in Menchaca on old San Antonio road, it's well worth the drive,
I cannot love this place more❣️The food was amazing. All six of us got something different and every one of us ate till we popped. They offer 5 levels of spice. Zero being as is and five bringing the heat. I got a two and it was perfect. My bestie got the zero aka as is and it was all flavor with no spiciness. We also go the mango sticky rice and it was soooo good. And I don’t normally like sweet with rice. The owner is the best. Her daughter took care of us and we never had to ask for anything. Music was rockin. Place was clean and welcoming. I just cannot find a negative thing to say. I will definitely be back and with new people so they can experience the joy of Rose’s. I would come back just to hang out with the owner. The sweetest people. This place rocks❣️❣️❣️❣️
Adorable location. Super friendly staff. Amazing food. They asked what spice level I wanted out of 5 levels of spice. I picked level 2, which gave just a bit of a kick and was perfect.
I love this place and have been telling everyone about it. Pad Kee Mao and Pad Si Ew are my favorites and all variations of the fried rice are delicious. This is the best thai food I've had in a long time. I met the owner while he was working on both of my recent visits and I love supporting this local business. I loved eating in the old house on the property that used to be the Manchaca Rail Terminal (so cool!). They have music some nights and it's great eating outside also. Def go soon if you're in the area!
Yum Yummm
Small family restaurant with authentic flavor
Tasty food (Mike and kitchen staff) plus great service (Mimi).
Happy we found this gem of a Thai restaurant.
We intend to come back and try every menu item.
We recommend the chicken and pork sate, "Christmas" pot roast and Thai fried rice.
Can't wait to try the new location. Outstanding food selection and quality. Loved the music too!
A friend and I ate dinner here and loved it. We'll definitely be back. We liked the cute old house and atmosphere. Mike was kind and the food was delicious. I can't believe I haven't eaten here before now!
This is one of Austin's hidden gems. Best Thai Restaurant I have been to. I love the home like vibe. The owners are so sweet and welcoming.
First time here. Got a new appetizer with shrimp and onion and the drunken noodles. Perfect place for an early lunch—jazz playing, excellent service, and amazing food. I have eaten a lot of thai food in Austin and this might be my new spot. Excited for their new location to open next month on Slaughter!!
Excellent Thai food, we tried several items and all were delicious.
we really liked the food, the history, and the Rose’s are wonderful. Super chill, friendly and they make great food. We had the new appetizer, green curry, pad kee mao and mango sticky rice. All was super good. We will definitely be back.
super gluten free friendly for being Asian food!
The green curry here is one of the best Thai curries I have ever tried. It’s incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. Also love the outdoor seating area.
Terrific food, wonderful servers/family. We’ll definitely be back!
Best Thai food in South Austin
The best hidden gem in south Austin! The Pad Sea Ew beef and shrimp is my absolute favorite!! Great price point and great quality of food!
We loved our food and experience here. Everything we ordered was delicious and had great spice (according to how we ordered it), and Rose is very lovely! Also appreciate the diverse menu as well.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Austin!! 🙌🏼 I got the veggie delight and added chicken and Thai basil to it. The flavors were so rich and the brown sauce was the best type of savory, tying the rice, veggies and protein together so well! Amazing spring rolls too!
The food was amazing! It was really flavorful and fresh. The owner was very hospitable and provided great service. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great restaurant in south Austin
Worst pad Thai of my life maybe it was an off day but so bland
We are delighted to find this hidden gem serving mainly authentic Thai food, but there’s also the usual American sandwiches, buffalo wings, Mac n cheese.
Thai food is superb - we enjoyed the papaya salad, red curry and Thai wings. Perfect spices!!!
The burger is moist and delicious.
Ambiance is excellent. Owners ( Mike and Toom) are sooooo nice and friendly. Very reasonably priced meals!!! We will be back ❤️❤️❤️
So yummy and fresh and cool vibe. I had the red curry and it was delicious!
Great food and amazing service! Might be the new date spot!
Cute little space with DELICIOUS food, really nice business owners and staff, and just an all over chill space. Each time we go, we try something new and, I have zero complaints. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself
Great Thai food! We had 2 noodle dishes and are looking forward to trying more from their wide variety of menu items next time. The owners are very kind and welcoming, you can tell they are passionate about what they do. We are so excited to visit the new location on Slaughter once it opens in December!
It was simply Delicious. I’d tell you otherwise if it wasn’t. I ordered the Veggie Delight to-go. Chicken (or pork) is included in the price!
The sauce was perfect, not too tangy or sweet. The vegetables were high quality.
They’ll ask for your level of spice which is a nice customization!
I decided on Roses’s after seeing their ranking on Yelp, and they did not disappoint in the slightest.
Visiting from out of town and found this place
Food was great! Will be back!!
Amazing food and great menu! We will definitely be back. Atmophere is cozy and quaint inside and service was great. Thanks y'all!
Super cool place.

Thanks. This place never disappoints. The new Firecracker Shrimp Bombs were literally the BOMB! Also, glad my SO liked the Turkey Club w/ avocado that I substituted for the already gone Reuben.
Hidden gem in South Austin! The food was outstanding!
Delicious green curry & friendly service. Made to order fresh spring rolls!
Loved the food. I love spicy food. 3 on a scale of spice was recommended. I will go up to 4 next time. Mike and his wife are the owners and take great pride in the food they serve to their customers, and it shows. I'll definitely be back even though I'm moving almost an hour away.
Keep doing what you are doing! See y'all again soon!

Hard to find but worth the adventure.
Thank you! Very welcoming family we had an amazing time.
If you have been debating on trying this place, DO IT! I probably ordered one of everything from the vegetarian options (plenty of them). Everything was delicious and I was even more impressed that they called me back to verify if I was vegetarian or vegan. That was definitely a first!! I can't speak to any of the meat dishes but in my experience, if the vegetarian food is good, the meat plates are usually just as great.
Loved it! Everything from the service to the food, spot on!
Great spot. Food truck with outdoor seating and table service. Really good food.
Had an amazing experience having dinner experience here! All vegan options available! Also mango sticky rice dessert was delicious!
We have been here many times, and every time the food and service is absolutely amazing!!
Delicious food, nice staff, very comfortable outdoor eating, (except the heat, but that’s on Texas summers), and really cool old house for inside.
I felt compelled to write this review after just finishing my 1st (won’t be my last) meal from Rose’s Kitchen on Twin Creek Rd. in Manchaca. I went to Rose’s after googling “best restaurants near me” and it stood out with a very justified 4.8 rating. I ordered the Pad Thai (level 2 of 5 heat) and Spring rolls. Oh my Lord…it was delicious!!! The owner was so nice and accommodating and the location is a hidden gem! Thanks for the great service, food and atmosphere! See you soon.
Delicious food! Even my 5 year old loves it. Mike is so friendly and goes out of his way to provide great service.
I'll update with photos from my next visit.
Amazing food taste and flavor. Everything is good here...love the place. Can get vegan as well. Have had it catered for my guests who always love this food ...mango avocado wrap is a must
Everything here is so delicious. Best Thai in Austin for great prices.
Tried this place for the first time today. Amazing food! Highly recommend!
This place is a hidden gem!! I highly recommend their Thai food.
The food is fresh and delicious and the service is very attentive. The pad Thai was the best I’ve had, and we also loved the yellow curry. We talked at length with the owner who is so nice. Will definitely be back when in the area.
Food is great, my wings were perfect and slightly crispy, the pad Thai was great.
The food at Rose s is made fresh tasty and seasoned to the way you want it. Delicious. We go at least once a week.
Best Thai we’ve had in all of Austin. Love the variety on the menu. Really friendly folks run the place.
It’s a small business so don’t judge a book by it’s cover, and they’re constantly making the atmosphere a vibe. More importantly, the thai food is always good and always consistent! Personally love the red and green curry but the pad ga prao is also so good!
Rose's kitchen was great. We will 100% be going back. I recommend getting the roti to start. It was crispy and very tasty. Lots of delicious options and fun vibes.
Such a great experience! Some of the best service we have received. Super kind folks! Yummy food, love that it's not all Thai and my kiddo will eat there!
We love it!
We went on the first outing with our new pup. The owner made us feel welcome and even brought our puppy a bowl of water. She went above and beyond.
We ordered and then the food came out how and fresh. We had the pad Thai, wings and fired dumplings. All were delicious. This place never fails to satisfy. I wanted to try everything on the menu. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We will be back weekly. 🙂🐷
First time in...so good! We had the Pad See Ew and Tom Kha soup. They were both wonderful and the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure!!
What a delightful find! I've read the great reviews, and Rose's Kitchen was on my radar as a spot to try. It's now on my list of places to return to.
On our visit, we ordered a couple refreshing Thai teas, and then enjoyed the Veggie Delight with tofu and the Pad See Ew with a side of rice, and then sweet sticky rice with mango and coconut milk for dessert.
We left completely satisfied and with the warm happy feeling supplied by full tummies after good meal.
The owner and his wife made us feel completely at home and readily made a few menu modifications. The service was prompt, and with just the right number of checkbacks to see how we were enjoying the meal.
Both Mike and his wife have a background in hospitality and food service and it shines through.
Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We chose seating outside to take full advantage of the lovely Spring weather.
Looking forward to returning to try more of the menu's Thai offerings. For those in your party who may lean to American food, there are good choices... something for everyone!
Delicious! Fresh and yummy Thai menu with lots of veg and vegan options. Best Thai food in Austin. Thanks Mike, we will be back
This family business is so attentive to creating a friendly lovely experience. Food truck/cafe. Great combo!
Fantastic Pad Kee Mow and drunken noodles. The owner is wonderfully friendly, and I will certainly be back.
Genius cook; great DIY vibe. Going here is like seeing the Beatles at the Cavern Club. Legend in the making. PS EVERYTHING is delicious; you can't go wrong.
I pulled in at 9:30 because the signs are all saying open. Ask three people if I can get it to go order and they all look at me like I’m speaking Martian so I leave because apparently they’re not open. Maybe you should take off your open signs 40 minutes after you’re closed and you have a crowd of people eatingand all your lights on now I cannot get a decent dinner because I stopped here and I don’t have time to stop anywhere else before they close as I’m headed out of town ….
This place has the best Thai food in South Austin, and SO MANY yummy gluten free options! 🌟
I expect nothing but the best from this family run start up. This was the best fried rice I've ever had, all the veggies are fresh and tasty. I love their hibiscus iced tea which hits the spot after getting a dose of spices from the cuisine.
Best Pad Thai in towns hands down. The Pork Satay is also a dream. The owners are ultra people friendly, and you feel right at home here. They will make your order feel like it’s for YOU. They’ve always got chill music playing, always fast service, and it’s veteran owned. What’s not to like?
I stumbled across this place one night when I was craving a Reuben. My husband and I stopped in for dinner shortly after and had the best experience ever. Not only was the food amazing, it came out quick! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and I can say that both are great options. Be prepared for some of the playlist of songs while you dine. During our first visit, my husband was so impressed with the pad thai that the owners came to our table and shared their story with us. We’ve now made this our weekly drop in spot!
Rose's is a hidden gem I discovered through Google. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. It's a perfect spot for groups with diverse tastes, offering everything from drunken noodles to chicken tenders. However, my absolute favorite dish here is the sticky rice—it's simply divine! 😍😋
I tried the red curry with chicken and it was excellent. Great food great price.
We went here for the first time tonight and LET ME TELL YOU we will absolutely be back. For starters, the environment is super cool. Jazz music in the background (owner Mike said they have live musicians on weekends too!!) and it was so relaxing. A really cool space. The owner Mike told us they make EVERYTHING from scratch, even their own meats! The food is INCREDIBLE we got pad Thai, spicy sausage rice and the egg rolls. Everything is amazing and so delicious. It was hard driving home in the car with the smell of these aromatics!!! I’d like to also mention how down to earth, kind and cool the owner Mike is! He told us a bit about his family and the business. Definitely recommend this spot guys. Authentic locally/family owned, scratch-made kitchen and beautiful venue. Thanks Mike! We will be back! Josie and Chris
Came at close, met the owner, who treated me like an old friend. Had a great talk, a real family business. Amazing food and phenomenal staff. Outdoor dates have found their home in Austin. With a diverse selection of food and love music what more could you ask for.
I ordered the Pad Kee Mao at spice level 5 which was pretty good. I found the portion size to be fairly small, but I think that's usually the case for food trucks. It also wasn't as spicy as I anticipated, so if you have a fairly high spice tolerance, I wouldn't be too scared to get it.
The food took quite a long time to come out (I don't know the exact time frame but maybe 40 minutes to an hour?) Not a big deal given I imagine the truck only has so much space, but it was frustrating to have waited so long.
I was surprised when we were offered table service; the server was nice enough but noticeably hurried around which admittedly was a little distracting. They did offer us the usual drinks and provided water cups, but refills were mostly self-serve after a while which was fine since it was a mere couple of steps to refill the cups.
The interior of the place definitely needs improvements. The room that the tables are set up in is fairly echo-y which amplified a lot of the noise inside. I found the most frustrating part of my experience to be the other table seated pretty much right behind us (our tables were basically adjacent). I know other customers' behavior isn't the restaurant's responsibility, but the noise levels from their laughing and yelling definitely took away from my experience. I think it may have helped to not have been seated so close together, so maybe something to consider as the interior gets developed.
As much as I wanted to also love this place it just wasn't anything special. We waited almost an hour for our meals, and since they're still working on the inside of the restaurant there was limited seating. The food was disappointing .What made the whole experience worse was that there was a huge group behind us laughing so loud that it echoed in the house. They were laughing as a comedian show, they had no social awareness.
I got the veggie delight, there was no cabbage which is fine but also disappointing. I opted to get two proteins instead. Since it took so long they compensated me with rice, however the rice was extremely soggy.
Our waiter was fine though! I could see he was trying. Another side note their menus had food stains everywhere which gave me the ick from the start.
LOVE THIS PLACE! AWESOME FOOD! GREAT MUSIC! THE BEST VIBE!! THERE IS ALSO LIVE MUSIC ON WEEKENDS! SO YUMMY!!!
Toom, Mimi and Mike are great! Had a slight mistake per my order but they were very nice and resolved it quickly. The food was tasty! Thanks Ramsey
I am obsessed with this place, I talk about it to anyone who will listen. The Pad Kee Mao is the best I have ever had in my LIFE.
the food was super amazing, everything tasted great, service wise was good.
First off we just moved to this area and when we pulled into this adorable place hidden away Mike immediately greeted us with a huge smile. He had the best attitude and it made the place feel super cozy and welcoming. He asked us what we liked and our spicy levels and recommended a few things to us. While waiting for the food he chatted with us about all of the fun things to do here and told us a little bit about their background as a restaurant. Fridays they have live music and we can’t wait to come back.
The food was exceptional and exactly as he said they would be. I ordered the Green curry with steak and a spice level of 1.5. I’m not a huge spicy person but I do enjoy a kick, and this was amazing. It was the perfect amount and had incredible flavors. 10/10. My boyfriend ordered the pad si ew with shrimp and pork with spicy level 3. I tried his and it was so good but couldn’t do the spicy, but he absolutely loved it. Mike gained our trust and we will definitely be back for their live music on Fridays. So excited this is right down the road!
It pains me to have to give this review after enjoying this food for the past two years, but a few things have caused them to lose me as a customer as of today. First, see the photo of the $10 chicken satay (full order in photo)! This looks like 2 chicken tenders. Unacceptable price/portion size. Secondly, this is the 3rd time in a row that I have arrived on time to pick up my order and have had to wait at least 5-10 minutes. The first time this happened, we had to wait 20 minutes past the time they told us it would be ready. It’s like they don’t start cooking until I arrive. I really wanted to see this place succeed, but if everyone is having my kind of experience, I’m afraid it will not.
Edit: still waiting for the refund you mention in your response.
green curry and drunken noodles were delicious. spring rolls fresh af too, we can’t wait to come back. also byob
We dined here recently and were impressed by the food! Delicious pad see ew! Their prices are reasonable and include your choice of protein. The restaurant environment showcases this is a family owned establishment, as their dining room seems to be part of a large single family home. When we visited, there were 5-6 tables occupied. Overall, a unique restaurant in this area, and one I plan to support frequently. Thanks!
Amazing food!!!
I’ve tried several of their menu items and the food is definitely good but pricy for the portions you are getting. Last time I went, two others were served before us when we had ordered before them.
Ridiculously good!
Pad Thai with shrimp: what Pad Thai should be. Green Curry with chicken: the best, never had green curry so original. Papaya salad with sticky rice: appreciate and learn how hard this is to find done well. I will be back to try more. Meanwhile, if you’re reading this, visit and appreciate.
LOVE this family owned food truck. The wife/husband duo are the sweetest people and the food is *chefs kiss*. The dishes are light, no heavy sauces, and very flavorful. My husband and I always go for the pad see ew with chicken
Some of the best pad see ew I ever had. Will come back for more. Thanks
Unbelievable service and hospitality. They even had live music.
Great food, the owner is friendly and service is fast. Everything is good, including dessert. Don't let the location prevent you from eating here.
Don't judge this place by its appearance. Don't come here for pretty photos for your social media because this ain't It. You want good food? You want reasonable price with high quality??? Something that has become almost an oxymoron in Austin area. Don't fret , you found it!!! Great food ,great quality and it doesn't break the bank. Keep doing what you do Rose's kitchen you guys are at the top of the game .
Side note. If you don't or have never eaten south east Asian food , it's spicy, so tread softly
This place is A-ma-zing!! I've enjoyed every meal we've had from here, and we order from Rose's Kitchen quite a few times. Our favorite is the yellow curry and pad see ew with sticky rice and Mango. Everyone here is also super nice.
My young son and I have eaten there twice - Everything we've eaten has been superb but we absolutely LOVE the Sweet Thai Sausage Fried Rice! We've also had the Tom Kha Soup, dumplings, and egg rolls -- all of which were great (especially the soup).
Family-owned business that cares about quality and their guests. Very friendly and down to earth. We will definitely be coming back and looking forward to trying more!
We did the outside eating. Fresh food.
This place is such a hidden gem! If you've ever driven down Twin Creek Road, chances are you passed right by it. We order the Tom Kha, along with Pad Kee Mao both were amazing! One of our new favorite Thai Restaurants!
Another great new spot. There needs to be more BYOB spots.
Beyond delicious! The pad Thai, ruben, club sandwich, dumpling, and spring rolls. Everything was so good. They make everything in house and are so passionate about their food. One of the owners Mike cams out and talked with us while we had our lunch in their outdoor eating area. Such a cute atmosphere! Can't want to come back on Fridays for the live music!
Service is amazing but the food was way over priced. $7.99 for what they say is 2 spring rolls, more like one cut in half. Chicken Satay was also very very small and over prices. It was like they took a chicken tender and cut it in half. I was very disappointed. Tom Kha Soup is $13.99 and not worth the price. The staff is really nice though. Thats why its 2 stars instead of 1.
Delicious Thai food with a little bit of an American twist, they call themselves Fusion which means they mix up two types of foods like American food and Thai food. But we ended up only ordering traditional Thai food and it was amazingly delicious and the service was really good also the place was beautiful!
Just to be clear there were options to buy fusion food but I guess we just went with the traditional.
New location is so cute and comfy! Love Rose’s Kitchen! The food is excellent every time and the service is phenomenal! 🤤❤️
Comfortable atmosphere, friendly people, delicious food. A hidden gem, for sure!
I had Pad Thai and it was very good loads of white meat chicken, has lots of sauce and noodles. This restaurant is in transition and growing into a potential great Thai place
Cool family-owned restaurant with delicious Thai food! Drunken Noodle is 10/10. Definitely will stop in again.
Happened upon Rose’s visiting from out of town. The reviews don’t lie. The food was amazing, and there is something for everyone. Family owned and you can tell the food is made with love. They have a cute set up as well. Highly recommend!
Ordered the food through door dash but our order got messed up. They missed the rice on my curry and proceeded to put the "extra" chicken, which was requested to be on the side, inside the dish. This was also charged extra, separate from my doordash order.
Overall good food but bad service. I even called to find out about the rice and got hung up on. Thankfully doordash was able to resolve the missing food item but overall not the best experience with service. Had the order been correct the food would have been a lot more enjoyable.
Very nice owners and outdoor space but overall they need to work on getting those orders correct!
EDIT: Owners called me to resolve the issue! Overall good experience working with their staff to make sure we were happy with the outcome.
Super awesome spot! 👍🏼 We were passing through on our way to Austin and stumbled upon Rose’s Kitchen. The food was amazing - some of the best Thai food we’ve had in the area… and if Thai food isn’t for you, they have SO many other amazing options. The atmosphere was really cool too! They have indoor and outdoor seating, we chose to sit outside and it was so calm and peaceful. The service was impeccable and everyone was so kind and friendly. Rose’s kitchen is definitely a hidden gem!! Check it out. ⭐️
Loving their new spot! Food is still amazing and the indoor & outdoor spaces are great. Location is also super convenient for us which is a bonus!
It was our first time to eat Thai food. We tried several different dishes and liked them all at level 1.
Such a fun new place. The dumplings were to die for and the curry was so tasty. The couple running it was so nice and such a friendly/fun atmosphere!
Drunken noodles and mango with sticky rice was the best we have had in Austin.
La comida está buena,
Some of the best food I’ve ever had!!
Good clean fresh food
The team here is a model of professionalism and hospitality. Their exceptional service enhances the overall dining experience.
The best Thai food I’ve had in Austin. Thai family recipes that will blow your mind!
By far the BEST chicken pad thai I've ever had in my life! It's what I get every time I visit. Very friendly family, happy to hear they have more plans for expansion! I hope to see this restaurant continue to grow!
Clean and fresh food that is dang tasty. Nice owner and employees. Just do yourself a favor and go.
Some of the best food I've ever had the pleasure of eating, so much so I come here 3 times a week lol I highly recommend this place .
amazing food, highly recommended
Unmatched quality for the price! The staff's impeccable service, exceptional flavors, and affordable prices make this restaurant a 5-star treasure.
The food had a straightforward appeal, with genuine flavors that left a good impression.
Phenomenal authentic Thai food. My wife and I will be coming back frequently.
Best Thai food I’ve had in my life, tastes like a fancy restaurant meal from a food truck. Tastes authentic and relatively healthy, way better alternative to Chinese takeout for comparable price and portions while scratching same itch. Owner and wife are always pleasant and enjoy talking about their food. Highly recommend the Pad Thai
Great food, with a great atmosphere and friendly owners.
I regret to say that I forgot the owners name. He was super cool, and took my family and other guests on a tour of the place. Though not complete yet, the old house (remodeled) was spectacular. The service, food, & atmosphere was amazing.
Wife & I tried it out. WOW, the food was most excellent! Owners Mike & his wife have a great thing going here! ... and big goals for the refurbed home as the restaurant. While the interior is still being completed the ambiance is lacking, but Mike goes out of his way to accommodate his patrons and share his vision for the property. His wife, who does the cooking, we didn't have the opportunity to meet (and praise for her culinary delights) but loved the drunken noodles & lightly fried cheese rolls!! We WILL be back for sure! I encourage everybody who reads this to visit and chow down!
I really hope this place sticks around and stays in the newly remodeled house. Delicious!
I’ve been too Thailand and 100s of thai restaurants around the US, and all
in austin. so i’m confident in saying this is the
best thai food in austin! flavors and aromatics are perfectly balanced. Grab a pear 🍐 after dinner!
They're in phase 1 of remodeling a house that will eventually hold many foodie experiences. I had the Pad Thai! Even though they're not quite set up for large groups yet, our server was hard at work going back and forth to the trailer while also helping others with their to go orders. The Thai Tea is yummy too!
Awesome family owned food truck right off 1626/ Twin Creek. Wife (chef) is from Thailand and makes the dishes delicious and light. No heavy sauces, just good ingredients. The building on the property is accessible and has AC with tables, it's a chill atmosphere with a stage for live entertainment. BBQ is made by a local pit master (guy from Moontower if I'm not mistaken). Will be back, can't wait to see them this Fall!!
You don't have to go all the way to Thailand to try authentic Thai food. Just stop in at roses
Amazing food and full of flavor! We called in an order for the green curry (spice 4), chicken Pad Thai (spice 2), egg rolls, and some spring rolls with mango and avo. First time ordering since they’ve opened their new location - same great food and people!
I came here for my birthday out of many other restaurants. Toom the owner (I hope I spelled her name right) is always so delightful and the food is on par.Thr Manager was so nice I cannot wait to see what they do with the place. They were so nice and even gave us some signature Mango Sticky Rice for my birthday and it was simply the best I have ever had. The cream ragoons and the fried dumplings being gluten free was such a treat for my birthday meal. What a delight today was. Thanks so much for having a friendly menu and such tasty food customer service and ambience.
Consistently amazing!
The vegan options are absolutely delicious! Very friendly service and we enjoy grabbing take-out from here.
Great food and great service!
Absolutely fantastic Thai food tucked away in a secluded corner surrounded by trees. If you’re in the area, this is a wonderful choice.
Absolutely delicious and food with wonderful vegan and non vegan options. Service was so kind and delightful. Definitely recommend:) great for a date night or a chill evening.
Rose’s kindness and passion radiate through her food and service. Highly recommended! The mango sticky rice is a family fave.
Amazing food, amazing service!!
First time here. Finally as we heard nothing but great things about it. It’s currently transitioning to a new location, and once finished it will be an awesome place not just for food. There will be live music and also larger group meeting rooms. The owner gave us a great tour of the facilities that will soon be open. The food (Pad Kee Mao and Green Curry) was spectacular and cannot wait to go back to try other items on the menu. Even though it’s a quite a drive for us.
The food we did receive was tasty as always, but two substitutions had to be made, one at a lower cost than the original order and did not receive credit (extra tip I guess?), and they forgot to put an item in the order. Disappointing experience.
I was disappointed. Orders fried rice .Lots of rice and vegetables but little protein. For price expected more. I have eaten in other Thai restaurants in Austin and Thailand. Difficult entry and signage poor.
The rice seemed a little overcooked and mushy. Toom the cook a very nice person. Haven’t given up maybe other dishes better. Suggest adding Chinese sausage as protein, loved this in Thailand .
Suggest have satay appetizer on menu. Of course with peanut sauce, chicken or pork. Delicious
Food was delicious!
Omgoodness!! This food is amazing! So nice to have this so close to home !
Really cool unique dining experience. The kitchen is in a good truck in the backyard of a house that currently also serves as a dining area in addition to several outdoor picnic benches. Wasn’t the best chicken satay I’ve ever had but was very good and came with two excellent sauces. Red curry was perfect! We got it as hot as they offered it, it was a decent amount of heat, but you like really hot food you might still find it kind of mild. Would definitely come back.
I've been eating lunch at Rose's for over a year and it has been a consistently tasty and unique option that I keep coming back to, their new location is great and will just keep getting better! I am also gluten free and it has been really easy to navigate their options. Thanks for making spicy options and for having kimchi! - Vince
Delicious pad Thai!
Favorite Thai spot in town!
The drunken noodles are fabulous. I haven’t tried anything else yet because they are that good!!
Fast take out, so delicious and flavorful. Mango rice was the best sweet I’ve had!!
Excellent food, incredibly kind owners, good location.
I had second thoughts about the gas station Thai food restaurant at first, but I am so glad I tried it. We ordered the Yellow Curry, Green Curry, Pad Kee Mao, and Pad See Ew. Each getting one noodle and one curry for leftovers. They were all delicious. Sap's is my normal Thai spot, but the Pad Kee Mao from Rose's was very different, and equally as good. The dish felt fresher, more bell peppers, tomatoes, and with the lime, it was perfect (not just intense garlic and Thai basil, which isn't bad btw, I still love Sap's).
Don't forget to grab a drink at one of the cleanest and best organized gas stations I have seen in South Austin while you are there.
