Small space with pleasing interior & subdued lighting with decorative screens on windows. Vestibule dimly lit except for decorative lights set into the wall – soothing and interesting. Comfortable booths. Staff pleasant and attentive, but not intrusive. Lunch special soup/ salad/ eggroll plate pleasing. L5 Pad Peanut Sauce (Chicken) was great. Tasty peanut sauce. Nicely cooked vegetables and chicken. L9 Pad Gratiem - Pikthai (Beef) nicely seasoned and cooked. Mushrooms & onions very nice. D5 Tripple Chocolate Cake was rich and tasty. Had a chance to try the Shrimp Pad Se Eaw - the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Pleasant outdoor seating area would be nice in cooler weather. It was pleasant to look out on from the cool interior seats. Atmosphere is not high on my list of required attributes, but in this case it really adds to the experience.

Worst Thai food we have eaten. It was really a letdown.
We drove to Houston for 5 hours to spend the weekend. So we are tired and a bit hungry.
Crab fried rice isn’t good. It smells horrible. The crab used isn’t good quality.
The Pad See Ew and Pad Woon Sen isn’t great either.
So sorry for this bad review, ZapVor. You need to know this so you can improve the quality of food and stay in business.
My favorite comfort food is Thai food. And the food we ordered for to go from ZapVor was a total letdown.

I can only comment on the food as we always pick it up for home. While there have been some inconsistencies, which is disappointing given the usual high quality, we find it to be a great place for a quick curry or soup. The wife and I are creatures of habit so we haven’t explored the full menu but their Panang, Massamun curries and Tom Yum/Kha soups are delicious. Based on the level of service we got at pickup, I can’t believe the dine-in experience would be less gracious, warm, and friendly.

I walked in to eat at this place, my boyfriend was still getting baby out the car but I needed to use the restroom. The person working there said no public restroom no public restrooms! I was trying to tell him that they were coming out of the car and he was yelling over me. So we took our family elsewhere. I think it was because we’re black . This is a racist establishment

The food is really good. The atmosphere is very nice, calming, relaxing, and the people who work there are so kind.

The ambience of the restaurant was just okay, nothing special. It seems like most people come here because of the location – being in the Heights area. However, the food was a real letdown. We ordered the Goizas, and they were deep fried to the point that the oil smelled off and tasted terrible.

The Pad Thai wasn't much better; it was overly sweet and I've had far better Pad Thai at other places. The only thing we actually liked was the papaya salad, which was decent and filling. But overall, the experience was disappointing. Definitely not coming back here again.

Our family of 6 went in for a late dinner. Even though it was an hour and a half before closing, the food and service were excellent. Our waiter was amazing.

Cool Thai food at North Houston

One of the tasteless and less desirable panang curry that I have tried, instead veggies has chunks of sweet potato 🍠 barely cooked. Cocktails for 5 were good though.

Excellent food and ambience but the service is somewhat stiff and a broken bathroom faucet replaced with a water bucket is unacceptable.

Wow, very friendly staff, great portions, and reasonable prices. Will be going back frequently!

I ordered a pork belly stew, fully expecting it to be pre-cooked and chilled, as pork belly requires hours of cooking to become tender. Naturally, reheating it should have been a simple task.

However, the service was unexpectedly slow. The bigger issue was that the center of each piece of meat remained frozen solid. I courteously informed our waiter about the issue with the meat still being frozen at the center, and he sent the dish back to the kitchen to be reheated.

The restaurant’s ambiance was nice. But the overall dining experience was disappointing due to slow service and food issue.

This establishment has a good atmosphere with great service Waiters are very benevolent greeting you with a smile wearing tropical flannel t-shirts to give off a vibrant vibe for the scenery their food is delicious worth every penny you spend the only downside I'll give it is that it's 35 minutes away from my house😮‍💨

Best Thai in town. Hands down. I lived in Thailand for 4 months and this restaurant cooks the exact same as locals in Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe.

Go-to neighborhood Thai restaurant. The service is great if you dine in and takeout is always ready in 10 minutes. The green curry is phenomenal and the spice is customizable. The roti is flaky and buttery and the peanut sauce is fantastic. Their portions are huge - one dish usually feeds me 3 times. Can’t beat the price for the quality and quantity.

Everyone already reviewed everything else, so I'll say the bathrooms are clean and pleasantly decorated. 5 stars

This was our first visit to Zapvor since the remodel earlier this year. My spouse and I stopped in for an impromptu lunch and were we surprised. From the ambiance, to the food and service, everything was terrific! We had a combination of dumplings, sushi and salads and everything was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff was warm and welcoming and the remodel very attractive. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit to this lovely neighborhood bistro which now features a full bar!

It used to be Thai Spice. They have totally redecorated inside and outside. Looks fantastic. It used to be packed when it was Thai Spice, but it was empty this time. I was disappointed that they didn't have hot and sour 🍲 soup and the egg rolls weren't as good as they used to be. They also used to give you 2. Now only one.

The service was pathetic! We ordered summer rolls but we asked for it with the peanut sauce that comes with the roti instead of the peanut sauce that comes with the summer rolls. The server said he cannot switch like like that. We told him we’ll pay extra but we don’t like the peanut sauce that comes with the fresh roll. He said the other peanut sauce is more expensive and he doesn’t have a way to charge us correctly if he made that switch. So, we were forced to order the roti. I actually really wanted to order a couple sides of peanut sauces on the side but we planned to not do it because we’d be forced to order roti.
We then talked to another server who said she will ask if they can get us the peanut sauce on the side. She came back to us saying, she can do it for $3 extra and we were ok with it. I wish she was our server from the very beginning.
I have been going to the ZAPVOR at sugarland and I have never faced this issue. They have always been able to accommodate my requests and in-fact they know how much I love the peanut sauce, they always give me extra. The food even tastes better at the sugarland location and in the same price, we get three winter rolls.

We're recommend to anyone vegan portions soups the Thai food is so delicious you can even get your greatest spice from normal to spicy. And the drinks were delicious. There was no iced coffee but they came up with one cuz their friend was diabetic for him to drink an iced coffee. Who does that? This place does you must try this place they are highly recommended and awesome and love the atmosphere. In the Heights for 19th Street this place is great awesome wonderful handicap parking wheelchair accessible clean bathrooms and a full bar.

The service was poor. We went there at 8: 40pm tonight ( Sunday night). The restaurant closes at 9:30 pm. The chairs and tables were already up, we asked if we could dine and they said yes. The sever ( tall - middle aged lady) gave us menu and told us we have 15 min to place an order, we knew what we wanted so we placed the order within 2 mins. I am with child, so I preferred to stay outside (patio). I asked her, if she could turn on the Heating light, and she said, " No, since we will be closing soon." OKAY NO PROBLEM..WE UNDERSTAND.. but after she brought the food, she was rushing us the whole time. That's absurd. And there were people staying inside (2 more tables), it wasn't like we were the only table that kept them open. It was absurd. Either dont take customers late and if you do take treat your paying customer nicely.

Positive things: the food was fast, hot and fresh. Negative: bland and plain. We had take out so can’t speak to the ambiance or service.

Ordered from their in-website ordering system. Charge went through. Got 1 email saying pickup in 15 minutes. Got a second email saying pickup in 77 minutes. Called to see when order would be ready. Restaurant says they never received the order. Said the order number doesn’t mean anything to them. Offered to show them the credit card charge, said there was nothing they could no. Never offered to help or investigate their system.

I’ll contest the charge with my credit card. I recommend anyone be very careful when ordering from this restaurant.

It was the grand opening, on white linen night when we came. Service was decent for the amount of people. Staff is super friendly. Food was delish. I recommend the pad se ew and the mango sticky rice as a must have. Approved by 2 kids and 2 adults!!

My two favorite dishes are the green curry and the pad kee mao, but you really can't go wrong with anything here!

I've been a regular here for like 7 years. They're the best. The food is amazing every time, the people are awesome. This place deserves to be packed every weekend, but it's not "fancy" or "cool" like everything else in the neighborhood. But y'all are seriously missing out if you pass this spot up!

We have been to this Thai Spice several times, but not as often as we would like because--like many Thai restaurants--it closes in the afternoons. That is when we tend to eat but we were running late and gave it a try. We were glad we did.

The dining area is not large, but clear, airy and intimate. The servers are very friendly and helpful.

I had the Pineapple Salmon Curry with a side of mixed vegetables. Both dishes had a great assortment of vegetables and the fish tasted especially fresh. My husband ordered the Massamun curry with chicken. We forgot to say how spicy we wanted it, we assume what came is medium hot. The curries on both dishes were delicious! At this time you can bring your own wine but they are in the process of applying for a liquor license.

Great food and great service! I ordered through door dash and for some reason when I came to pick up it hadn’t gone through. The gentleman up front was so nice about me having to wait (which wasn’t long at all!) and even offered me a complimentary tea for the wait. I don' think I've had a dish from Thai Spice that I didn't enjoy. Their green curry is one of my favorites I've had anywhere. To go orders are always prepared quickly. Service is always excellent when dining in. Parking is tricky during lunch rush because of the UPS store next door.

Always good! Came in late Thursday for dinner withba friend. She had the Pad Kee Mao at Spicy. I had the Peanut Chicken at Thai spicy. Both very good! Thai spicy was not overpowering at all. Staff is always friendly. Place was super clean. Prices reasonable. Would for sure recommend!
