Calm, modestly appointed restaurant preparing Thai curries, noodle dishes & other specialties.
Overall, I was more impressed during my first visit, but this time I was very let down by the fried rice that didn’t seem like it was fried. It seemed like it was just mixed together. It also had a flavor I couldn’t place but it was not typical for Thai fried rice (lived multiple years in Thailand). The Moo Tod was pretty good but not very flavorful like Moo Dat Deo. Nice big pieces but I have always seen it with smaller pieces to reduce toughness. The place is clean and the staff is super friendly. I’ll eventually try it again because maybe the curries and other items are more the specialty.

Wanted authentic Thai street food on the way to the airport and I can’t wait to have this my next time in Houston! It was a quick takeout order but the service was great and quick given there were a good amount of patrons dining in. I ordered the papaya salad with wings and mango sticky rice. The papaya salad was so refreshing, flavorful and filling and the mango sticky rice was good too! I wish the coconut cream and mango were a little sweeter but still good with me. This serving sizes were great!
We had a horrible experience. This was our first and last visit to this establishment. Let's start with the fact that there is hardly any parking space. The place was dreadful and old, so we ordered take-out. The girl taking the orders was polite, we ordered Pad Thai, mango sticky rice, chicken curry, and Tilapia. I was charged also for a Deep Fried Pompano. No big deal, the cashier corrected the transaction. We took our food and when we got home, 1 hour away, to our disappointment, found out that instead of Tilapia, we got a full boned oily fish that none of our guests would touch because of the amount of oil and bones on that fish. If it were not because we were hosting guests and live 1 hour away, I would have taken it back.
The food overall was ok, definitely not worth the drive.
Quaint little spot, seat yourself, pay at the counter.
The food was decent, spice level is impressive. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a lunch date. The Thai Tea was good, my food was a little bland tho. The only flavor it had was in the spicy sauce, so once the noodles soaked it up it was enjoyable.
My boyfriend seemed to enjoy his food, he didn’t feel good afterward but I was fine, so it could have been just a him thing.
There is also merchandise to purchase from, we didn’t get the chance to look around but at a glance they seemed to have a lot of stuff.
Their bathrooms were clean and nice. I enjoy a place with a single stall.

Always consistent. Excellent, authentic thai food. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The spice scale is a real one (1-5). I am Indian and get a 3 when I’m feeling close to my roots but 2 on a usual day.
Excellent variety of dishes s,the employees are very clean and always wear gloves.
Highly Highly recommended. Came here not knowing it was a market. Was able to find some of my fav brands and snacks while we waited for our food. Food was FULL OF FLAVOR! Some of the best Thai food I have had in a very long time.
This place is chaos incarnate with the best staff to manage that mess. The food is just.... Sublime. You cannot ask for better.
Get the eggs. You'll thank me later.
This place is the closest thing to Thailand in Houston. Amazing food.
Everything about this place is awesome ....
Street Food Thai Market in Houston offers authentic Thai dishes with bold flavors in a casual, inviting atmosphere. Standout items include the pad khee mao, green curry, and mango sticky rice. The food is fresh, flavorful, and can be tailored to your spice preference. Service is friendly, though it can get busy during peak hours. Overall, it's a great spot for anyone craving authentic Thai street food.
Amazing , authentic, great service and many options .
Who cares about food and service and the food is that good? It has a great flavor. It is excellent. I never cared about service. I never cared about atmosphere. The only thing that I worry and care for is the taste the flavor the feeling Afterward, it’s not expensive, but it has a feeling that it should be. It is very Tasty food that You eat in high Price restaurant this is the hole in the wall. This is the very best at least I feel that way. Feel free to go in. If you don’t worry about service atmosphere go ahead and enjoy the taste the Thai taste With a heart
Excellent food, great customer service, and perfect pricing. Their Masaman curry with chicken is to DIE for. The best Thai you'll find in Houston, it's a hidden gem!
This place is FANTASTIC! Incredible menu, incredible tasting food. Ideal secret gem, hole in the wall type of vibe. It’s best to order a bunch of dishes and do a family style dinner.
Amazing authentic Thai food, we especially enjoyed the Panang Curry with Chicken Fried Rice
Phone number on file doesn’t work
I have given them a two star recently because of the customer service. Waited a long time to be served and when they finally came the spice level of the food was hot when we specifically requested medium. Our previous times there were great so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and just say that was just probably their bad day.
Delicious food and generous portions.
Love the Mango Sticky Rice they always have it. I am glad its not a (Seasonal) Item
Best Thai I've had in Houston
Easily the best Thai in the area. Don’t let the front lady scare you off. The food is unbeatable! And the rest of the staff is friendly :) my top place for takeout when I have company over and everyone always loves it saying it’s the best they’ve had!
I had an out-of-town guest, and we had a great experience. The food and service were excellent, with a large selection of vegan options. The dishes were flavorful, and there are spice warnings for those sensitive to heat. My flexitarian friend enjoyed the Pad Thai, although I added chili paste to mine, while the other friends found it perfectly seasoned. The dish with coconut milk was brilliant. There is ample parking available, and the prices are moderate. Overall, it was a great choice. I have spent time in Bangkok this is the real deal
Excellent food! Portion sizes were good, and prompt service.
Amazing, authentic, delicious Thai food!!! Such a great place for lunch or dinner!!! Loved everything we had!!! The market is a bonus for authentic ingredients to take home!!! All in all, a “MUST DO” when in Houston!!!
The food tastes amazing here. It tastes more authentic than your usual thai restaurant. I ordered Hading rice with a spice level of 3. If you can't tolerate spicy, I would recommend you get a 1 or 2. The waiter made it clear that they won't remake the food once you select the spice level.
I had pad khee mao and it was absolutely delicious!
Wanted authentic Thai street food on the way to the airport and I can’t wait to have this my next time in Houston! Cheap low quality ingredients, especially the beef. Dirty tables. Horrible service. I honestly don’t know what was worse, the food or the service? Skip, skip, skip.
Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines and this is my favorite Thai restaurant. I have yet to find one that beats the quality of this place. I have dined in, gotten take out, and had the food delivered to my workplace. The quality of the food remains consistent regardless of the experience.
Be careful with the spice level if you can’t handle the heat. I’d recommend starting off easy (medium for me) and getting extra chili sauce on the side.
Theres not a whole lot of seating for the dining area because the place also operates as a market, which I think it’s pretty cool.
Overall, delicious food and I HIGHLY recommend it if you’re in the area.
How does it feel to find two bugs in my take-home Chicken Pad Thai? Strangely, sad and shocked -- not angry. I'm shocked that I would find critters in my food and sad that I won't ever be able to dine at my, now former, favorite Thai food restaurant.
Previously, I rated Street Food Thai Market 5-stars and recommended it to countless friends and family. There wasn't just one but two bugs, indicative of unacceptable, unsanitary conditions. My search for a clean and tasty Thai place has begun. 😭
Wow these guys are great - Uber messed up and wouldn’t refund the order even though we ordered 3 bag worth of food they only delivered one. We called the restaurant and they helped remake order and they were so kind to us. These guys care ! And the food was absolutely delicious.
Great food. It’s kind of a shop and restaurant in one. Small sitting area.
Not really my type of place but that's where she wanted to go
Hidden Gem!! Food was so delicious and well prepared! Great service and restaurant exceptionally clean. Will definitely be back soon.
Best food
The food was very good and the quantity as well. I Believe the staff have a hard time understanding clearly in what you want and what you ordered but other than that. I would recommend going hear for Thai food..
Great service from them! The servers were nice and they were quick in getting the food out, even on a Friday during lunch time. The Yum Woon Sen was delicious. The peanuts in the dish complimented the taste profile of the dish really well. However, I was surprised it had peanuts as that was not stated in the menu, so I hope they mention it to the next customers that order it.
Service was mediocre.
Panang curry was good, but the noodle dish was kind of plain.
A bit pricier than a nearby Thai market eatery.
My date's fried mackeral was a bad experience. The dish was wrong. Not fish sauce fishy, but old fish fishy. Foul. She returned it when the waiter arrived with my dish, and immediately ordered red chicken curry, to avoid the fish. Waiter returned saying manager says we would have to pay for that mackeral. Asked for manager, who refused to come out. We still hadn't eaten, so we left.
We eat here all the time great food usually but today, 9/1 at around 4pm the women working the register, taking orders , sort of long blond hair, jeans black shirt was hugely rude. We called in a Togo order, she hung up on my wife before she was finished ordering and when we picked up the order it was not complete. The lady was very rude. The chicken wings were way over cooked. This place is really going down hill.
I had some red curry and it was delicious
Our go-to Thai spot!
New to town and stumbled upon this. Wire - great food, prompt service, highly recommend!
We're so extremely disappointed!! We're come here because the good reviews. 7 hours drives for a sucked food bad service! The fish is not cooked still Red and so stench! We already tell the server but he said that is the color they want. I never frying fish like that color. (just FYI we're eating sashimi, but this kind of fish is not save too eat uncooked).
All the foods is extremely SALTY!! I try to mix it with white rice but still not helping. It's make me feel sick and i end up vomit there.
The worst part is they are charged 20% for the TIP. we're only 5 adults and 2 toddlers.
Definitely won't be back.
I got the Pad Khee Mao With Vegetable & Tofu. My boyfriend got the Pad Krapow Moo Krob. Literally eating this as I’m typing this review. This is the BEST Pad Khee Mao I’ve ever had. In houston. They fill the plate up. For its price it is so worth it. I even ordered Sweet sticky rice w mango and it was also amazing. Would recommend this place.
When you first walk in, your not quite sure if its the right place? It is, and its awesome. Best Thai, I have had in Houston so far.. Love it. I had #3 and my girl #4 I had them make it a 5 out of 1-5 for hotness. It was delicious and hot as hell. My girl said her number 4 with Tofu, which she loved, she got was a 1 for heat level and still had a little spice....Its a must try....

Excellent food, but the service sucks even when doing takeout. No one picks up the phone, they claim they are too busy, so you have to go to the store to ace the order and wait. Only way to do online orders is with Doordash delivery.
Environment 2/5 parking 1/5 but… Food 10/5 😁 delicious.
So glad we stumbled on this spot, the food was amazing! We didn't get asked what spice level we wanted but no complaints, as it was still very tasty and we devoured everything we ordered. Will definitely be back whenever we're back on that side of town. So good!
I did not eat here, but I was disappointed at the MINIMAL amount of fresh Thai ingredients available for purchase.
Thai food - original - tasty - fair price - parking can be tricky at peak times but plenty of parking on side streets- best Thai in town unless u want to pay triple the price !
Best Tom yum soup in Houston but generally just an amazing Thai spot!
The food was excellent! Perfect amount of spice. Good service and a quite place! I don't live here but I'm from here so visit time to time. This is a place I will definitely come back to!
Amazing Thai food.
Level 3 spicy is pretty damn spicy.
They need to stock their shelves. They did not have a thing I was looking for.
Maybe the best Thai food in the Houston metro. Authentic and very casual with friendly service.
Cool spot, cool vibe cool atmosphere, great pad thai, great chickn wing , very good prices, great service, clean, easy to order call in
Stopped in for dinner, this place reminds me of Asian Market Thai Lao down the street, in my opinion this edges out Thai Lao, service is better and the food was on point. They serve all their food on banana leaves and it's a cool touch. They do not mess around with their spice levels be warned a 3 is pretty hot. Much like aforementioned Thai Lao you pay at counter, they also have a wait-list to find seating. Be prepared to wait a little, oh and parking is pretty limited.
My go to comfort food
Some of the best Thai food I have ever had! I got the green curry (hot) it was so flavorful and spicy in the best way. My husband got the Pad see ew (mild hot) still pretty spicy and truly delicious. Portions were generous and prices were affordable. Can’t wait to go back!
I use to get food here all the time, went today and pretty much got ignored. I had to ask 3 different people for my drink, than sat for almost an hour waiting for my food. All the while I watched tables that came in after mine get food first. Didn't even get an apology for the wait, hell a guy asked us is everything ok, we said no, and he just walked away. It has to be a particularly bad experience for me to give 1 star, and that's what this was.
Authentic Thai food, reminded me of many Bangkok restaurants. I wish they’d bring back the morning glory in the menu! It is all delicious.
Food here is great, fast, and affordable. I love the small market inside and bought several things to try that all turned out really well. The Mango sticky rice is very fresh, we also got the pad Thai, Khao soi, massaman curry, egg rolls - all good
Food is good. Parking and sitting process is an extremely difficult.
Love their food
Under the radar, but top-notch Thai restaurant and grocer that offers a surprisingly wide variety of authentic Thai cuisine. My personal favorite and regular stop when we're in the area.
Food was really good, atmosphere was nice.
My only complaint was it appears someone made the call to not include any peppers in our food, didn't ask, should have had peppers. Was actually looking forward to trying some spicy Thai food...
I may return and try more curry. If you want spicy I would tell the waiter.
Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices available. Excellent taste and service. Generous portions.
In general I like this place and a lot of their dishes are tasty but please tell me whyyyyy is the Pad Thai so bland?? 😭 Not talking spice but flavor. Please please please just add some flavor to your Pad Thai!
This is a whole experience. The food is exceptional, the service is excellent. We eat at the place and all the combination of flavors were something I wish everyone can experience once. You can park at the place at no cost.
There should be a special category for restaurants like this. It’s not just great, it’s phenomenal. The dishes pack huge amounts of flavor and depth despite simple fresh ingredients.
It’s as authentic as they come. If they were in California or New York the line would wrap around the block. They have a huge amount of vegetarian options and if you like spice - the heat can blow your socks off if you ask. It’s awesome. If you don’t like heat, make sure to order it zero spicy.
The Khao Soi and Green Curry are my go-tos but I’ve yet to have a dish I don’t love. Wait times even when they are busy are never more than a few minutes.
Food is good but is a bit pricey, parking is bad and little dangerous
I got the mango sticky rice 😭 . First bite I was in love already! The sticky rice is just perfect , then mixed with the fresh mango?!? 10/10
It's just so good. The Penang curry is fantastic, and the shop portion has many food stuffs and drinks. I usually get a take-away, call ahead is key. Usually pretty busy. They cooks can make it as spicy as you like
The Penang curry and chicken pad Thai are gluten free (no soy sauce)
I ordered food through doordash from here I literally go or order for pickup from here every other weekend and I ordered and Paid for a red curry with tofu and vegetables last weekend I did the same and had broccoli and thos time I put a note that soice level 3 and for vegetables only eggplant and bamboo shots they didn’t add the protein tofu and full amount Was charged they were not willing to work with me is is very frustrating how can u charge fir the full meal and not add the protein the note was clear And the fact that the kitchen cant read a note is ridiculous
I love this place because it's close, affordable and good food. However, parking can be a challenge sometimes and they can be inconsistent with the flavoring of the food. Also, I probably won't get their noodles ever again because "no spice" apparently means, "please make sure I can't feel my tongue and lips and temporarily lose my hearing after eating this." Last 2 times i ordered the pad kee mao with NO SPICE I couldn't finish it because it felt like I ate napalm. Tastes great, Feels bad.
Food was delicious!
They have the best papaya salad... the favors and ingredients are on points... however, I ordered papaya salad extra spicy but it was not quite spicy... it tastes just medium compared to other Thai placed
I have been going here for about 3 years and this used to be my go to place, but as of the last year I have been venturing out to other Thai places around the area because this place is getting too inconsistent.
The last few times we dined in with 5 people, we always seem to be waiting on one entree to arrive to the table and by time it arrives we are boxing it to go.
The Thai iced tea comes in a large glass, but just doesn’t have the right tea to milk ratio to me so it’s worth the skip for me despite really liking Thai iced tea.
Lastly, today I arrived to pick up my food after they said my order would be ready in 30 mins and I ended up waiting an additional 30 mins on top of that. I don’t care if it takes an hour.. just tell me up front so I am not sitting around waiting. The guy up front was apologetic.
Food is really good here, but unfortunately I won’t be returning.
We ordered tofu with basil stir fry, yellow curry, whole fried tilapia, and fried ribs. The curry was really good. My 7yr old throughly enjoyed the tilapia. The flavor on the krapao was good, but the vegetables were all uncooked. The bitterness of the mostly raw carrots wasn't good. The ribs were inarguably the worst part of the meal. They were too fatty and had an offputting taste. Needless to say, we did not eat them, we were not even able to finish the ones we did try. Not worth the $70+ price tag. UPDATE: I went back for some sticky rice with mango, it was hard, barely had any coconut milk in it and the mango was ROTTEN.
Chive cakes are better than some in Thailand. Beef noodle is very tasty.
Food is great my favorites are the pad see ew and the red curry.
The food was amazing. Come check it out. Large portions, too.
Really good value. Food is pretty good but not top tier imo. 5 spice is not really spicy.
Best thai food I have had in town so far. We have tried several different dishes, and all of them are incredible. They can be spicy at times, so just adjust your own spice level accordingly.
This place will give you enough food portion for a toddler. Check out the pics, $15 for each dish in this quantity? You can literally count the chicken in one of our orders. We used to be frequent customers but lately the quality, service and quantity has gone down the drain. I also didn’t have any basil in my dish which it comes with. Complain and they’ll just apologize, money down the drain here.
Went here a few times and thought we found a reliable Thai place but severely went down in quality and service.
The To-go containers are illogical especially for something soupy that it spilled all over while being upright when I got home. I had to clean my car and my home from the spillage that dropped till I was able to set it down. The worker Nick promised another order next time since he didn’t want to do a refund and when inquired about it “next time” they said they cannot honor it.
Not only that, the food has gotten mid and now the portion size is so small it’s embarrassing and won’t even serve a protein amount for one meal. They just stuff it with a mound of rice instead. So cheap of them. Unacceptable.
You know food is gonna be good when you see the bars on the windows! Great thai food. tons of options, very casual but with fantastic flavor. loved everything I tried but most of all the khao soi gai (coconut based creamy spicy soup with chicken and noodles) (I've never had it before so it was super new and unique. The tilapia was also a standout. maybe my only complaint is that the Thai Tea was slightly too sweet.
This place is a hidden gem! Its food is very genuine, and tasty (almost Thailand street level). It’s actually one of my favorite Thai place in the US. They have all the classics, and they are very well portioned. Shareable for sure. The place is on the small size, so if you have a party bigger than 4 you may need to wait, they have only about 10 tables, and it gets super busy in peak hours. The service was very prompt and attentive. They have a small store right by the seating area, and you can get specialties from Thailand. Parking is limited about 10 cars or so at the time.
Solid Thai/Lao but not as spicy or as well prepared as other nearby options. I’ll stick with the place on N Main.
Food is good, but lady at the reception should learn customer service and greet customers. She wants us to leave when we arrived there at 8:25 pm.
Bussin’ food. This place has an interesting store-meets-restaurant setup. They have grocery store aisles right next to the seating area with tables and chairs. We were seated right away when we arrived and ordered the chicken drunken noodles with a spice level of 2. Incredibly delicious flavors. Spicy and umami with a touch of sweet - just perfect. You could also tell the noodles were so fresh, almost as if they were homemade. Highly recommend this spot. I regret only being able to order one dish.
Amazing Thai food, great customer service!
Awesome Thai Food! Best we’ve had in Houston! This Street Spicy wings are amazing!!!!
Wish to have a double stomach to try so many menu options!!
The taste of foods is great!
Service was a bit slow, but not too bad. Seems like a "hole in the wall" "mom and pops" place. But man, the food is 5 stars. Lots of flavors, and the portion is pretty big. Will definitely come back.
