This is hands down one of my most favorite restaurants to go to. Yes, the food is great, the place is always clean, welcoming and inviting. But you're gonna get something here that is a rarity in our current culture, and that's 'the human experience'.
Andre goes above and beyond, treating every customer like they're family. And when I say that, I mean it, like they should be the ones with the slogan 'When you're here, you're family.". I haven't felt this welcomed in a dining room since I was at my grandmas house. He chats with you, he remembers little hobbies you have, and it always feels like you're going over to a friend's house to grab lunch. There are people out there like him, putting their heart and soul in their work to connect with their customers, not for the profits, but because it leaves everyone with a positive experience.
All too often, I've gone into restaurants, and you get the happy and cheerful welcome, the cheerful goodbye, but overall the experience is always... lonely. People are paid to be cheerful, but they aren't allowed to be human. If they're too human, if they act in a way that the corporate industry doesn't approve of, then they could lose their job.
It's the reason why Disney World feels like such a magical place to go to. You are catered to on every whim, your experience is unique, you are treated as a special guest. People smile at you, greet you, chat with you, and Disney can capitalize on that. But instead of setting aside several paychecks and vacation time, you can go visit Andre at Bamboo House and enjoy a little afternoon with affordable food, great atmosphere, and an amazing person who isn't afraid to show his humanity.

We also had the Paradise Roll with baked scallops, and it was soooo delicious—seriously great sushi! On top of that, we tried both the Tonkotsu and Sukiyaki Ramen, and they were fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful, which made our experience even better! Oooh, and we had boba tea—it was delicious! Usually, the boba has too strong of a taste and distracts from the drink, but theirs absorbs the flavor perfectly and complements it so well. Definitely worth a visit!

Went to Bamboo House today for my son’s 5th Birthday because he loves ramen (and also requested sushi. Haha!). My daughter went as well.
This is such a welcoming place, and the customer service was fantastic!! Which is something that I really pay attention to at establishments.
Our food arrived quickly, it was also hot & fresh. Andre came to our table to chat with us & to make sure everything was great (which it was)! He even gave my son a birthday treat which was so sweet.
We absolutely enjoyed our lunch & will certainly return again & again!
I highly recommend Bamboo House.

Came from Houston to Dallas for a small family trip and this was a last minute restaurant option. I would say the food was good, I’m just not a fan of sushi or raw fish but my significant other was and she just said the spider web thing was too fishy. But the ramen I had was delicious and the egg rolls too. I’m not much of a ramen guy cause my blood pressure but it was good and not salty. The server we had was funny and very friendly I wish I remembered his name. But he was great and down to earth. I’d recommend this restaurant for a quick meal

An amazing hidden gem, highly kid friendly very reasonable prices with incredible value. The sushi and ramen out both phenomenal. If your a parent and worry about ramen and toddlers they literally wont let you clean the mess, please relax is the vibe.

I’ve been to a couple ramen places, and I’d like to think I have a distinguished palette.
Few places have I gone and wished I had more time and a bigger portion.
This was truly an incredible meal. I was so excited after I started eating I didn’t even take a single picture! This food silenced me, I hardly uttered a word while eating.
I got the dry garlic ramen and subbed their pork for their Japanese style beef, and added woodear mushrooms on top. Simply a marvelous dish. Well executed, every aspect of my palette was thoughtfully engaged.
5/5!

Edit: after finishing my food, the owner came by and chatted with my table, and I completely lost it. He is unbelievably hilarious. 10/5 stars. Take my money.

Took myself on a little lunch date yesterday and decided to try this place. The owner was so sweet and attentive, the atmosphere/vibe of the restaurant was amazing, and the poke bowl I got was soooo good. Decently priced, great and speedy service, amazing atmosphere. I love this place and will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu.

Edit: went back today 11/27/2024 to get a little treat for movie night. Got another poke bowl and this time I added shrimp tempura and crab rangoon and it was all so delicious. So glad to have found this spot!

Came here alone while on a work trip but man did the staff make me feel welcome. Feels like the kind of taverns of old where you can strike up a conversation with the people there and just enjoy a well cooked meal. Happy roll was perfectly fried and delicious and the Ramen was on point as well. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

They changed ownership and switched their menu to more Japanese style food. We ordered Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, Lo Mein, and a Caterpillar Roll. We also got a Milk Tea and Tiger Milk Tea with toppings. The food was tasty and my kids liked their drinks. Our waitress was very nice and personable.

We came for a midweek dinner and ordered the Happy Family, Chicken w/Garlic Sauce, and Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce. All the dishes came with your choice of white or fried rice. Overall the food tasted good and the service was very good.

Excellent Thai tea, Gyoza, and spicy miso ramen. The ramen was the perfect level of spicy. Everything tasted fresh and the sauces were very good and made in house as well. Atmosphere was good and clean but could use a little ambiance upgrade but we know it is not cheap to do that so go spend some money there!
Great for dining alone or with a group. Overall I will come back here many times because they are so nice and the food is very very good.

Very amazing service and food! We had the Shoyu Ramen and the Tempura Udon, which were both amazing! 10/10 broth on the Udon especially! We also got the Nigiri Sampler which was a fantastic choice. The tuna was superb and the salmon was delicious and buttery. Everything was amazing and the owner was very kind and helpful. Will be coming back again!

Got the Hybrid Poke Bowl. Flavor was delicious, plenty of fish (Salmon and Tuna), nice additions. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I will be going back again to try other dishes

Me and my fiance love this place! The food is not only great but so is the service! The owner is so sweet and Andre who is the manager is the best. He is the only food service manager that I know that actually remembers his customers and is always happy to see you. He is a big jokester so he is always saying funny things and loves to make you laugh. We order from here every Friday and we are always welcomed like family when we walk in there. You will love this place!!

One of the best places I’ve been in a while. The owner served us and he was super friendly. Made jokes and made sure we taken care of. The price for food was also great. $30 for two people. 10/10 service and will definitely be back!

Had a salmon poke bowl and it wasn't great. A few pieces of salmon were almost frozen and the cucumber had soapy flavor so I had to pick them out, sad because I like cucumber. I also ordered two sauces on it but it was very light and tasted like maybe only one sauce. I will go elsewhere for poke next time.

This is a gem. Nicest owner I’ve ever met who showed sincere gratitude for us stopping in…you don’t see that anymore. But the food is…wow. Best fried rice I’ve ever had…my daughter said the same about the ramen. To top it off, the prices are a huge value for this quality of a meal. Highly recommend.

Andre is awesome and the sushi chefs lived up to the 4.8 reviews. All rolls were excellent and we will be back in September

Probably the best poke in this area.
Most places give you half rice, half toppings. This place equally distributes it.

I am stumped by the other reviews. It absolutely could be that I was there on a bad day, but the service was incredibly slow, which happens from time to time because staffing can be an issue. My biggest disappointment was the food. We ordered three different dishes which varied between being bland and so overcooked that it was difficult to chew.

Again, I’m just one guy who went here with his family then left to go get ice cream afterwards cause we were still hungry. I can’t say I would even try it again because the combination of sub-par service and inedible food just gives me no compelling reason to visit a second time.

The Cowboy roll is oishii and the portions were big too. The Tonkatsu Ramen had some good sized Chashu. The staff was super nice and helpful I really enjoyed the atmosphere and I will return. I gotta try a poke bowl.

We were in the shopping center and found this place we thought we'd check out. At first it was dead inside but I could not believe how crowded it got. And this place had so many to go orders I was really hoping this place was good, which it was! We had sushi, sashimi (thick and good!!), poke bowl, and fried rice. All of it was great. I would definitely go back to try other rolls . Thanks!

This place is fantastic. Such a wide selection of food and I have not gotten something I did not like. Their customer service is also top notch, every time I come in here the workers are always so friendly.

Upon entering I was greeted by Andre, the owner. His warmth and friendliness made me feel like I was reconnecting with a friend I had not seen in years. He truly cares about the customer experience at this restaurant and it shows with how attentive he and his staff are.
The Tonkatsu Ramen was exceptional. The pork was tender, the broth had a deep and savory flavor, and the egg was perfectly boiled.
Andre offered me chili oil they made in-house. The flavor was unique in that it had a much smoother and more buttery flavor than traditional asian restaurant chili oils.
This was an exceptional experience.

First time trying and it was such a great experience! I ordered the combo lo mein noodles and a miso soup. Food came out hot and fast- no complaints! The service was friendly, fun, and attentive. I will definitely be back!

This place has awesome sushi, you can tell it’s made fresh. Pad Thai is wonderful here as well. The owner is so nice and remembers us every time we come in. Definitely would recommend!!

I went here yesterday and from the moment I walked in the place was welcoming and inviting. I met the owner Mr.Andre, he was really polite and had great conversation. The food was really good as well. I ended up getting the vegetable lo mein with baked salmon sushi. I will be coming back!

We had a wonderful dinner tonight. We’ve ordered takeout from here before, but decided to go in tonight. The owner, Andre, was incredibly kind and personable. Dinner was delicious and fresh. I live nearby so we will certainly be back soon.

Andre & Soma lama (sorry if I misspelled your name!) were lovely and such a delight. Their chef Sam is an expert, we had the Takoyaki, Karage, Shoyu & Tonkotsu ramen, and the temptation roll and there's so much to say about how *GOOD* the food is. Everything is worth coming back for to get again and again. The vibe here was so relaxing. Everyone was so kind & funny! This family owned restaurant is easily one of my favorite places to dine, just try them!

This was my first time trying Bamboo House and the food was wonderful! I got the Tonkatsu Ramen and takoyaki. The broth for the ramen was really flavorful! I know next time to get extra eggs because they were perfectly cooked. I also loved that everything was packaged separately so I could add as much broth as I wanted. I never had takoyaki before, so I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. It was good as well I love the dipping sauce that came with it. Will go back again. Also I met the owner and he was very friendly and greatly appreciated that I was supporting his business that alone will have me returning back

Best fried rice ever! I stopped by for a quick dinner before heading to a movie. It was my first visit. I got the happy roll and shrimp fried rice. The roll was perfect! The rice was delicious! The portions are large for me, so I took a lot of it to go for lunch tomorrow. I definitely recommend this place, and I will be sure to go back.
