Generous plates of traditional Thai fare round out the menu at this mellow, strip-mall restaurant.
We had a fantastic experience at this small Thai restaurant! The soups were delicious and of excellent quality, which we really appreciated. We also tried the spring rolls, and they were incredibly tasty. Despite the restaurant being quite small, we were able to find seating without any issues. The staff was super friendly and the service was impressively fast.
One small suggestion: we ordered the small portion of soup, and while it was great, we missed having rice to go with it. Unfortunately, rice is only included with the larger portion. It would be wonderful if a small serving of rice could be added as an option with the smaller soup as well.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place, and we highly recommend visiting!
Walked in after a long day and ordered fresh spring rolls, yellow curry, and Thai ice tea. Inside it was air conditioned but was not as cool as expected. Order came in short time. Fresh spring rolls were tasty and came with dipping sauce. Thai tea was as expected and waitress also brought ice water. Yellow curry was good and had a nice mix of tasty vegetables. Bowl of white rice also came with the curry. Inside it was small but clean and nicely decorated. I enjoyed my meal here and would like to come back to try other dishes on the menu.
The BEST Thai food in South Austin hands down! Spice level is amazing - variety is there - and QUALITY is always on even/especially for takeout. Moo Todd ( fried pork bites with some sweet sauce and sticky rice?!) and Pad egg Noodles extra spicy are not to be missed
I just spoke with a lady trying to order egg-free noodles. I asked if she could point me in the right direction. I could’ve done more research on my end but didn’t think it was a big deal asking for help.
She said she didn’t know. I asked if I could potentially speak with someone else & she said it was best I didn’t order here because she couldn’t take the time to explain since they are very busy. No room for discussion.
I called around 1pm. Wish places would be a little more inclusive for those with sensitivities or food allergies.
Best Thai food I have had anywhere in Austin. Authentic and fresh. You can tell the quality of that food but the spring rolls and papaya salad!

Good enough
Food was barely edible. Meat was like beef jerky and rice tasted very old.
Love the paid Thai
They have “THE” best Thai coffee! So so good! They have the best people, food and the service is AMAZING! Try it out!

Great food.
Thai fried rice was kind of tasteless, had to go home and add onion powder 3.5/5

This is my favorite Thai place in the Kyle/Buds area!! I like to get a new thing to try every time and I have yet to be disappointed :)
The staff is incredibly sweet and service is the fastest I have experienced in the area (a 10 minute wait for a take out order is IMPRESSIVE).
Too expensive

I usually take out. Food is excellent.
Wonderful little family place in Butor. Food is consistently very good.
The food has gone downhill over the years, I guess inflation is to blame. But for being the price that it is, I’d think there’d be more meat like there used to be. I’m still a fan of this family owned restaurant, but I’d just like more protein.
Sorry but traditional Thai uses chinese broccoli not the one they use here. Food is decent but definitely does not have authentic taste or ingredients. I get it they cater to Americans just like Tex-Mex junk.
The last time I ordered food from here there was a COCKROACH cooked into it. Will never return.
This place was spot on! The Kao Soi and Crab Egg rolls were delicious. Very flavorful and big portions.
I've carried out orders many times from this establishment. The food is always hot, the wait is reasonable, and my lord is it delicious. Best fried tofu I've ever had.
Pretty decent for takeout. A bit expensive. Terribly small and dingy inside but I always get it to go. People are very nice though. I've had better pad Thai but I've also had way worse. I give the food a 7/10. The curry is pretty good too.
We’ve been going there for 12 years, best Thai food I’ve ever had even today! It’s our Cheers!
So far every dish I have tried has been wonderfully delicious. I recommend 100 percent.
Great food and exceptional service! Everything was hot and flavorful.
Said they'd open at 11 am but doors were still closed 10 mins after. Waited for nothing.
This is one of our absolute go-to places in Buda, and they never disappoint. I will say, something in the past few months changed to where the food is even a step up from the flavors we experienced before. I don't know if it's a new chef, refined recipes or what, but KEEP IT GOING, this food is amazing.
Searching for something other than fast food in the area, we came across IM Thai Cuisine, and it was a pleasant surprise. Small, charming place. Good service, nice hostess, decent prices. Great Thai Tea, impossible to have just one. We had two curries, the Yellow (mild) and the Red one (more spicy), both delicious. This is truly an excellent option in Buda, TX. I'm definitely going back to try the Fried Rice and a few of the House Specials, which look great btw.
We eat here weekly and it is my favorite food in town. I think it is the best Thai food in the entire Austin metro. So delicious, ALWAYS cooked fresh - so fresh that it’s always still piping hot when we get home after a 20 minute drive. It is great quality, big portions, fresh and always tasty. My favorites are the pad Thai and the crab Rangoon - they use real crab meat and there’s so much flavor. We have never had an issue with any order and the service is always great. Highly recommend!
I tried Hor Mok Talay, steamed scallops awesome....
Best in town, I'm so happy they reopen the dine in area.
Great food every time. Love the dumplings and soup. Highly recommended.
They have roaches
Delicious Thai Fried Rice!
I'm completely disappointed and would never come here again. I feel discriminated against, and as if my money got stolen. I've been to places with sub-par service but outrageously good food and vice-versa, and either one makes up for the other, so I usually don't leave reviews. This time both were bad. Also, I don't want to make the assumption that there was any racist feelings on the way I got treated, but I felt very discriminated against, since I was the only non white or asian person there.
When I entered I was not greeted, just asked wether I was there to pick up or order, then I got asked if I wanted to eat there or to go. I was told to sit anywhere and wasn't even given a menu, I had to get it myself. I ended up ordering right then and there. I got Beef Pad Thai with a side of Pork. During all of this I'm the only customer present.
Fast forward some time and two white guys enter and they're immediately greeted and taken to their seats, brought utensils, water and menu. Completely different from what I experienced, since it took a while for my utensils to come and got asked what I wanted to drink after them, even though I've ordered before they even got here. Some time later a couple comes in and once again, they're treated as costumers in a restaurant should be treated.
Shortly after I get my food and I notice it barely has any meat and has a strong smell. Like old heated grease or old cooked meat. I assume it came from the pork. The taste was a little too sweet and kinda heavy on the taste department, but still good nonetheless.
During this time I see how the other customers are constantly engaged and asked if they need something else, meanwhile I'm sitting, done with my plate waiting for the waitress to even acknowledge my existence. I didn't even get a water refill, meanwhile the couple, who sat in front of me, got theirs refilled.
Finally the waitress comes to my table bringing the bill, not even asking if I wanted to order something else. After she left I checked the menu again, and disappointed, I paid. Then I waited for her to come get the bill and once again she didn't come. So I got up and brought it to her and left.
I apologize for my English if what I wrote isn't clear, it is my 2nd language. Also, I'll be generous and say that the waitress was still young, probably around my age, so she may have gotten distracted attending phone calls or the other customers, who seemed to be regulars.
Very good
Bland Bland Bland. Ordered the Red Curry with chicken and at the spicy level. It was watery, beige, and the chicken was dry over cooked breast meat. Also barely any of the meat. I ended up having to added seasoning to it to even want to eat it. I'll pass on a second visit.
Very fun small Thai restaurant in Buda. Food is excellent, prepared exactly as ordered and as spicy as you want.
Hoped to get get food. Was let down on all fronts. Fried rice was horrible, soup was worse. 3 people. 2 finished before 3rd got food. Just disappointd
I ordered Pad Thai chicken with no spice. I brought home, he wasn't impressed at all, it was red said it tasted like BBQ. There was no sauce.it came in aluminum foil. Out dated, dull, dengie.
Definitely some of the best pad Thai I've ever had .. sorry it took me so long to try this place ..will be coming back
I'm unfamiliar with Thai dishes in general but because I've been watching a lot of Thai dramas, I felt inspired to eat Thai cooking. My bf knows I love Lo Mein, so he got me something he thought was close to it. He got me the Kua Gai and I am hooked. The sauce was great, and it was wet, just how I like my noodles. The portion size was small-ish for American standards but seems right for Thai standards. I just ate it slowly with chopsticks and I was full faster than I thought. I will def be coming back for more Kua Gai. <3
Portion sizes were uneven (2 people ordering the same thing), but food was excellent. Noted a few bugs, though. Not likely to return.
Very overpriced, poor quality, & meager servings. Had a to go order that was packed in a sectioned box, only to find a smallish bowl worth of food on one side of the box. It was very lacking with veggies & meats; for over $16.00. This has happened before, & wanted to give IM Thai another chance. I will not return.
It was grrrrrrrrreaaat!
It was ok. Looking for Thai curry shrimp, didn't order what I was craving
I haven't been inside this restaurant in a while, but we order from here all the time and have always loved their food, but never will again. The reason why:
1. I ordered an iced tea, and I thought at first there was a fly in it, and I took it back. She brought me another one bug free.
2. We get our meals and are still grossed out about bugs in drinks, but know it happens. Then I saw multiple roaches crawling on the floor and walls. Then, I realized it was a roach in my drink. 🤮
That was the last straw. Lost my appetite and didn't receive any apology or compensation.
From other reviews, it looks like they have a roach infestation.
That's bad business!
The service was great but the food WAS NOT. Portions were very small for the price (take out order), the taste of the soup was so bad we could not eat it; the basil rice was decent but it had almost no meat in it and that's after paying for extra! The service was great, very kind people, that was the only good thing.
This place used to be better. Overpriced too. They don’t listen when you request the spice level; and make it super spicy. This has happened to me several times. Worst fried rice I’ve ever had, it looked and tasted like a frozen dinner.
Haven't been here in almost 2 years. Hasn't changed much. Food is still good. Staff is still nice.
Impeccable service, great location and some of the best pad thai we have had in over ten years. I would have taken pictures of most of the dishes we ordered but we ate too fast! Spring rolls, chicken satay with incredibly delicious peanut sauce, drunken pad thai, pineapple pad thai…if you are reading this just go and get the best thai food of your life!!
banger food, banger service
Amazing restaurant for Thai, I was amazed by the flavor of the food. I 100% recommend this place for anyone in Buda who is in the mood for Thai.
Love this restaurant SO much! I live super close by and get food here all the time. Also the owner is so kind and sweet every time I come in. I always get the Pad Thai w/chicken and their fresh spring rolls are AMAZING! Highly recommend!
I am so happy to have found authentic Thai food in TX! Just got back from Thailand and I was already missing the food. A little less spicy than in Thailand but I'm sure you can ask for them to make it spicier. I totally recommend IM Thai Cuisine.
Very tasty and large portions! Will be back!
So so so so so delicious! Ordered yellow curry and the Pad Praram and this is the best food I’ve had in this area (all of Buda, Kyle, and San Marcos). So glad I found this place.
Good curry. However part of the order was wrong. Asked for spicy Pad Pak and it was not spicy.
My family LOVES this place! Even when we have any multitude of out of town family members visiting, this is often a go-to meal! We have been LONG time customers and my family always orders our mainstay faves: Yum Nua, Golden Noodles, Golden Garlic or Noodle Soup, Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry or Kua Goong Curry. Oh and Fried Tofu is our favorite app!
This place was nasty and honestly I don’t even want to put one start but there is not an option for no stars. There was no taste. I literally had to grab a drink to make sure I had taste. I don’t complain about food because I have been without but I’ve also been without money also and don’t want anyone to be without money expecting to pay for what they want. This was a waste of money, time, and a date night. There is no where to sit and you have to take your food after ordering. It still had no taste after 4 packs of soy sauce. It was that bad. I can’t make this up. We are extremely fortunate to have a real Thai restaurant in Victoria, Noots. Everything on the menu is wonderful and large amounts.
I am never disappointed with the food here. I usually have to stop myself from ordering multiple entrees because so many of their dishes are addicting!
Fantastic menu and service. Papaya salad is a must! Definitely will be back.
Best Thai in Kyle and buda! So delicious we get this almost once a week. They have really good pad Thai, golden curry fried rice, and their pad cashew is amazing. So are their egg rolls. Highly recommend this spot it never disappoints
Almost gagged when I saw a male employee wipe countertops and a sink with a rag and then used the same rag to shine clean water glasses. I will not return after seeing this totally disgusting and unhygienic practice.
You can tell that fresh ingredients are used and you can taste the multiple layers of flavor in each dish. Always served hot and by a friendly staff. Highly recommend!
This place for a small Thai restaurant would be great if they tweet a few things. I'm on the road travel for work and decided to grab something beside sandwiches. It was just me so I ordered my usual stand by dishes. Thai fried Rice with Chicken and Pad See Ew with chicken. The fried rice was decent for the exception of, far to many large pieces of green onions and white onions. The 2nd dish was the Pad See Ew and they substituted egg noodles instead of the wide flat noodles that traditionally is used in this dish. The regular noodles holes the slightly sweet favor better with the broccoli and chicken. The egg noodles completely alter the taste of the dish.
Their Tom ka soup is better than anywhere else I’ve ever tried! Seriously deserves an award. So happy this place is close to my house. I have also tried the pad Thai ,really good. Also, really nice server.
Amazing food and super friendly staff! Our new go-to for takeout :)
Love the extra spicy pad cashew’s plate !!
Great spot! To go only right now. Support local business! Got 2 soups, both delicious, great curry and even better pad Thai!
Always above and beyond! great portions, good price, and excellent customer service!
wasn’t good, made my stomach ache. do not recommend.
Dine in was not available when we went there around 8:40 p m. on a Saturday.
Great food! Beware of the spice variability though. We've received #2 spicy ranging from not spicy at all (prompting is too order #3 the following time) to too spicy for comfort. Since we typically carryout we're just going to start ordering #1 to be safe. Would be perfect if the spice was more consistent.
Best Thai food in Buda! Love the yum rice ball- the name is deceiving, it’s more of a flavorful spicy lettuce wrap. Pad See Ew, Basil fried rice, & the curries are also terrific
Enjoyed the vegetables vermicelli lunch. It was delicious.
Everything was excellent and we will definitely be back. We ordered panang curry, pad see ew, moo todd, and the Thai crepes
Great food and service. I love the pad soon sen.
Cancelled a delivery order on me after 45 mins of waiting, then were rude and unprofessional when I called them. Thankfully there are better thai places in town now so will just go there.
Hated it. Unseasoned good and expensive. They have nothing we would typically get from a Thai place. No plasticware. Asked for soy sauce. Got none. Bland food.
Excellently prepared Thai food, generous portions, friendly service
Food was delicious.
Hot Noodle soup is phenomenal! Thank you.
The worst food I’ve tried to eat in a long time.
My partner and I ordered two dishes to go with this restaurant using their online ordering service. The food is great all around however the wait for the food was 40 minutes and our containers were less than half full. Seriously? We spent thirty dollars and tipped 20 percent. Id rather wait an hour for tuk tuk to make the food because at least they would fill the container more than half way. Just being honest!
We are lucky to have such good Thai food here in Buda. The Pad See Ew, Pad Thai and Basil fried rice are all amazing. The veggie egg rolls are awesome too. When we lived in Austin we would go to 888 all the time, and happy to find this place has just as good of food.
Thank you IM! We will be loyal customers. So far it’s been every payday that we pick up some good Thai food :)
This was our first time ordering. My hubby found this place tonight. AMAZING!!! Best we have ever had. Thank you!
Great food here. But there is no more Dine In Here. I thought I should put some clarity out there. Only to GO.
Awesome people, awesome food!
Wish I lived closer so I can eat here more often. We make every effort to eat here any chance we can. Panang Gai is amazing.
It was my first time here and I got the pad egg noodles it was great. I can’t wait to come back and try something new on their menu.
Buda
Please go and get some IM Thai when you can
Not only is the food amazing
They are some of the kindest people
I was starving and with my situation at the moment I don’t even have McDonalds money
And I use the showers at the Anytime Fitness by their shop and always see it packed
I got so hungry I went in to ask for anything to eat
Hunger is the beat spice - but apparently it can also make you brave bc I was nervous / ashamed
Without hesitation she said “what would you like”
The food is legit amazing and your supporting a family business that is a credit to Buda.
God bless y’all
I’ve been coming to this restaurant since it was in South Austin over 12 years ago. IM Thai is the best kept secret in Austin’s Asian food scene and has the best Thai food in three counties.
The menu has a number of familiar items but the owner and staff make wonderful recommendations for first timers and those looking to try something new. Everything they make is fresh, delicious, and full of flavor.
If you’re new to Thai, try the Kao Soi and order some Rice Balls. Your life will be better for it.
Consistently great food
Great service, awesome food. Always a stop when I am traveling I 35 Corridor.
Love this place! Great service! Friendly employees and good food!! The sweet sticky mango rice and some Thai tea! And the noodles and curry! All good!
We drive to Buda from Austin because we absolutely love love love their food and kindness at the counter!!! They even remember your name and what you usually order!!
Try out the Paradise Shrimp with a salad that comes with it and with a delicious yellow lemon dressing with a twist- so so good!!! Also, the vegetable rolls are to die for with their delicious specialty sauce!!! My husband enjoys the yellow curie with brown rice and it's MORE than enough to eat for 2 helpings. If I could, I would give it a million stars!!!
This place is so great! Their customer service is awesome. The lovely lady at the register always remembers my name when I walk in to pick up my food. And I'm only here once a month. I didn't have a chance to order ahead this time, so I just ordered there. She actually remembered what I normally order! Even that I like extra broccoli!
Fresh & flavorful. The Larb chicken tonight wasn't what I expected. I couldn't taste the lime or roasted rice.
I would have given 5.
My husband ordered the shrimp fried rice and it had several shrimp TAILS in it, but only a couple actual shrimp.
My family loves this place! The food always tastes fresh and flavorful, portion sizes are great, and staff is friendly. This hits the spot whenever we're craving authentic Thai and brings back memories of when I visited Thailand.
The absolute BEST curry I’ve found in awhile. It’s fresh, good spice, and is ready at a reasonable time. I have been addicted to this place lately and can not get enough. GO OUT AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES! This place deserves it!
Awesome food and great customer service!
I love this place!! I can't wait till we can start dinning in again
Great place!! Drunken egg noodles with chicken!!!
Made my order online shortly after 8pm. After an awkward amount of time went by getting close to 10PM, we get a random and sudden notification that our order was cancelled. This ISN'T a part, a tool, a cleaning product that if there is a delay I can wait a day or even two. This is FOOD and made plans to receive food from this place only for them to WASTE our time and leave us hungry and need to look elsewhere. Its a pathetic and irresponsible move on behalf of this establishment. Just be aware that they will randomly cancel your order when its very inconvenient to do so. ***BEWARE***
Same delightful story every time I visit this place
PRO’s= 4 stars for the golden rice- it was incredibly delicious! I asked for a heat level of 2 and it was really tasty and quite spicy. Great customer service as well. I would definitely eat here again.
CON’s= I would not recommend the spring rolls or egg rolls. They lack flavor. The sauce that comes with the spring rolls lacks the peanut-y taste that I’ve come to know from most Thai places. Both appetizers could have used some spices.
Terrible food! Spring rolls were like eating rubber the rice paper was so old and no cilantro or any flavor. The Tom yum did not even have a hint of lemongrass which is the main flavor profile it should have. The satay chicken was large dry pieces
Of dark Meat mostly leg not sliced thin or sliced at all! So disappointed I can’t even list everything wrong!
I found a hair in my food ☹️
Love the tofu mussamam curry and the tofu pad Thai.
I love this place. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and the service is always excellent. I highly recommend to all. Even if you don't like spice, they will cook to suit your needs. Try it out!
Good Thai. You want it hotter, they'll be more than happy to oblige you.
Their food is legit amazing
Food was good, service was great
Excellent food excellent staff very cordial and friendly and attentive
Good. Very tasty. 23 $ two people..
Yellow curry chicken was basic, not extremely flavorful. I wasn't impressed by the way they threw it into the bowl with no regard to presentation. There was curry sauce all over the place. The service was ok. I wouldn't return simply because I've tasted Thai food done well at other places and was not impressed by this one.
The place may LOOK questionable on the outside, but it's what's inside that counts: excellent dishes every time, with great portions and friendly service. This little dive is Buda's best kept secret. Try the pad kee mow or golden noodles!
Having been in Thailand several times the food is just ok, the deep fried pork and beef were too chewy and hard to eat but the taste was good. The ambient was nothing special and the music didn't help. They charged me extra $ for a bit of sauce. Not one of my favorites.
Great food
Food and service was good but the Oil used to cook tasted burnt or old which broke the experience for us a bit. I be back to try again.
Great Thai food. Im sure its one of the best in Austin
Hours are accurate on here compared to what on the door but they were closed during posted business hours.
Great service and loved their golden fried rice with chicken! So delicious!
Great food, great price.
Staff is friendly. I had the vermicelli delight which was delicious! Crab rangoon are a great appetizer. Recommend the thai tea.
The chicken pad thai and the mango rice dessert is delicious.
Great! Recommend spicing up all choices.
Pad thai is yummy. I asked for spicy and it was spicy! Yummy goodness.
Great food, great customer service!
Only Thai place around unless you go into Austin proper. Food was average. Service was friendly and good though!
Fried pork with sticky rice was delicious. And the staff was so friendly!
Pad Thai was horrible. I’ve never had pad Thai made with red onions, and there were TONS. Also—spice level I requested was mild.... I normally put tons of sriracha in food so I can handle my heat. The spice level of the pad Thai was so hot that I had to throw it away with more than half the plate left. I haven’t tried anything beyond the pad Thai (I also got a Thai tea which wasn’t horrible) but I won’t be going back again. Price was way too high for quality and flavor of food.
We were on the road craving thai food. This place has better than ok food but it is very, very oily.
Great friendly staff and food is delicious.
great tasting food
Tried it twice, ordered different things. Both times the food was bland, lacked flavor. Very overpriced, especially for the quality of food.
Not what I expected of Thai flavors
The food was not too bad! We both had Pad Thai. As we were ordering, I actually had a roach crawl on to my ankle. I knocked it off and stepped on it. We sadly couldn't finish our meal after one of the wait people walked by our table, reached over and smashed a bug over our shoulders! We personally weren't sure where the bug landed! Sorry IM Thai, but this 30 year resident of Buda just can't go back.
Exceptional service from very courteous and attentive young lady. Didn't have to flag her once for a refill even during a busy hour. Food came out quickly as well.
The masaman curry is fantastic. Definitely recommend if you're looking for some nice hot food on your lunch break.
Really good Thai
