Prices charged are higher than what the menu says it should cost. Food was average the pricing difference really turned me off. There are plenty of good Thai places around here that you should try. If these people get the pricing in check for what the menu says it should be we may try it again.

We ordered chicken Laab, lao sausage, egg rolls and sticky rice. Very authentic and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Chicken laab was well seasoned and fresh. The sausage was portioned well. Not too fatty or too much herbs. Egg rolls were okay and not bad. Felt like we were eating at Aunty and Uncles house. They also made us some Jeow when we asked if they had any. Food came out pretty quick. We dined in since we weren't from the area. Would definitely hit this place back up again.

WOW!!! SO FREAKING AMAZING. pad woo Sen was so dang good, veggies were crisp noodles were amazing, great ratio throughout, CRISPY egg rolls. PHENOMENAL!!!!

This place is so good. I have had at least 10 things off the menu. Everything has been spot on. They also have boba which I didn't see online but they do have it in the store. Favorites are the spring rolls, goyza and Basil chicken fried rice. I can't wait to get the mango sticky fried rice.

Food was bland. The broccoli was pretty raw. Too much oil cooked into the egg rolls. Flavors were not shining star. I threw it away.

We try and eat at Saplai at least once a week. James, at the restaurant, is very nice, a true patriot, and we can tell he takes pride in preparing his dishes. It's hard to decide on a favorite since everything is great. I order the Thai Garlic often and in my opinion it's better than most restaurants.

Wow. Pad See Ew Moo (pork). EXCELLENT. Good Wok char. Slight heavy on the Dark Soy sauce but it's fine. They use Gai Lan (Chinese broccoli) instead of America broccoli. So authentic. Highly recommend.

I asked for the lao style papaya salad Togo. When I got home it was not lao style at all. :/ very sad. Still tastes good, just not what I ordered.

The laab, pad khee mow, and riblets were delicious. The fried garlic makes the riblets even better. Was not a fan of the Thai tea as it didn't taste right, just tasted off like there was too much of something. Since the kitchen was not enclosed, it was very loud in the dining area, and we could hear a lot of kitchen noise while eating.

Love this little spot. Food is delicious and authentic. Order at the counter and the friendly staff with bring out your dish when it's ready. Limited seating if dining, I think it was established more as a grab and go. Music played is very cool and not what you would typically here in a place like this.

OMG hands down one of the best Laos/Thai food in the country! I know that’s a bold statement, but it’s true lol! I’ve had amazing Thai food in NYC/DC and it rivals every one of them. love the larb salad, any of the curry’s but yellow is my favorite. And their mango sticky rice ughhhhhh it’s to die for!!

We recently went to Thailand- Bangkok, Chiangmai and Phuket and we absolutely loves Thai food. The food here at Saplai is served with a smile and is every bit as delicious and tasty as Thai food we had on vacay. The Crab Rangoon are crispy and filled with an ample amount of crab mixture. The curries are rich and spicy and made with fresh vegetables and served with a nice tower of rice. Highly recommend! We will try other dishes but so far curries are top notch! There’s a big screen with adventure shows and the walls have a Thai skyline. Good for groups, date night or delivery.

Ordered my food via their online system and after payment they canceled my order and now the payment takes 5 days to refund to my account James was the guy who I talked to who first said it was my card and when I called the bank they told him the merchant canceled it and it would take 5days. He argued did not apologize or offer any solutions.

This was hands down the best red pineapple curry I've ever had in my life! The veggie spring rolls were also phenomenal! Something about that peanut sauce was just *chef's kiss* can't wait to try other things on the menu. Kathy and James were amazing as well!

This place is pure trash. I ordered a Tom kha soup and not only was the bowl half full the waiter gave an attitude. I have loved many Thai places like Thai Jasmine or Yummy Thai this place is by far the worst oh and the food is trash too. Save your money and go one exit over to Thai Jasmine.

Great experience dining here! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the larb is some of the best I’ve had. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and I’ve been back consistently, it’s my favorite place to eat in the area.

Went there because of the great reviews. Unfortunately our visit was less than acceptable. We dinned in and the minute the food was put on the table, the smell was overwhelming. It was obvious that something had turned before they cooked it. It smelled so bad. My girlfriend also smelled it from across the table. I told them about it and they didn’t even offer to make it right. Frustrated, We left and will not be back. It was also pricier than places much nicer and better. No soup or spring roll with the entrees.

This is the 4th time that I've been here. Each time I tried something different, and they were all fantastic!

We get delivery from this place all the time. It is our new favorite Thai place in the area! The food is amazing every time, as long as you're conscious of what spice level you can handle. You also get a really good amount of food for each entree. I get the pad see ew and my husband gets the pad kee mow. We've also had the pad kra pow and the curry fried rice, as well as several of the appetizers and steet foods. I can't imagine anything would be bad here! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great, fast Thai place.

The food is very delicious. It's always hot and fresh. They always ask what heat level you want. I like spicy and it doesn't disappoint. The lao papaya salad is tasty. The Tom yum soup also a favorite as well as their wings. The prices are a little high but the portion makes up for it. Great little place.

As a door dash driver I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is extremely nice, they work quickly, and have great communication. I really wanted to like this place because I love thai food. Choose your dishes carefully! I ordered pork on the street food menu. The smell, texture, flavor was loud and clear that it did not come from a pig. I know it's not illegal to serve this kind of meat in TX but it's not for the weak.

An enjoyable little restaurant with friendly service. We had the Pad Thai; it was sweet, savory and cooked in the Thai fashion. You can taste the tamarind in the pad thai which I’ve always liked.
In addition, we had a Lao papaya salad; it was good but I wished wasn’t so tamed in my opinion. I am so used to the strong wafting smells of homemade salads but we can’t have it all :). The orange chicken was well made and crispy. The orange flavors paired well with veggies and rice.

We ordered 2 dishes and both tasted so overpoweringly of fish sauce that we couldn't taste much else. All the food looked great and had good texture and spice but I could only taste fishy flavor in my pad thai and his dish.

The food is good. Price is ok. I got a fried rice with beef and chicken plus a root beer for 22$ the chef was cooking with a muscle shirt. Which it’s not an appropriate attire to bee cooking. Long hair gentleman helping without a hairnet. So over all okay.

My new favorite place for Pad Thai. If you like a lot of spice then a level 4 is for you. “Warning” a level 4 may have your stomach burning. I stick to a level 2 and that is good enough for me. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

You have to eat here! Soooooo good!!! Good variety and you can “dial in” the heat level you want (or don’t want). I had a rice ball dish—come with lettuce wraps. The rice was crunchy and wonderful. My lunch companion got the drunken noodles and she couldn’t stop raving about them.

I ordered the Pad Thai and spring rolls along with fried rice. The food was delicious, only minor thing was the pad Thai was very saucy. Apart from that a solid 4.5/5 stars. Prices are somewhat reasonable, would recommend!

Deliciously fresh and flavorful. Spice level 0-5 is accurate unlike some places. I was hungover and requested level 5 because I wanted a lot of heat and that’s exactly what I got, lol! Almost to hot to eat, ALMOST. I loved it and will definitely be going back. Next time I will order a spicy level 3. 😉

This is my new favorite place. Lots of new to me menu items and some well known classics. Today (my third visit) I had the Riblets street food, Panang Curry with chicken and the Crunchy Rice Lettuce Wraps. Being new to 'riblets' I wasn't sure what to expect but they were delicious. Crispy, moist and tender. The lettuce wraps are the best I have ever had, the crunchy rice balls are addictingly good. I have had the Panang Curry 3 times, and I can't decide if I like the pork or chicken more. Panang is my go-to dish at new places and Saplai has deep rich flavors I never knew existed, seriously mouthwatering. The portion sizes were large, me and my friend both had leftovers to take home. I haven't tried their soups yet, but they are next on my list.

Also, let me warn you about the spice level, it's SPICY. I love spicy food and I'm not brave enough to go over a 3. On most 5 star spicy scales it takes a solid 4 to get me sweating, but not here. Not feeling the heat? Keep it to a 1 or 0.

The food was FANTASTIC!! Really, really good!! I got the Panang Curry Chicken (pictured). So good!!! It comes with a side of rice (not pictured), which was cooked perfectly.

I ordered mine to go, and it was ready in about 5 minutes. Yet it was still cooked to perfection. So that's nice that it's not a long wait.

It's a family owned place that's only been open a few weeks. Place is small, but cozy.

Word of warning: they ask you how spicy you want your food, on a scale of 0 to 5. I like it spicy, but not too spicy, so I said 3. The person convinced to me to change it to a 2, and I'm glad I did! Even 2 was almost a little too hot for me. So maybe start with 1 if you go. LOL

We came in on their second day of opening. -Our favorite is Pork Riblet
-Papaya Salad is a little too spicy even though we ordered with level 2
-Pad Thai is a little dry on that day.
-Pork stirred fry with basil and bell pepper rice dish is very good as well.
-Thai tea is mildly sweet.
Overall, we have really good experience and definitely will coming back for more!!

Sadly my review differs greatly from others who have dined at Saplai Kao & Thai. My experience was very disappointing after receiving rave reviews from one of my neighbors. I ordered pad kee mow today which was unfortunately not appetizing at all. My dish was very greasy and lacked flavor. I tried doctoring it with chili oil and soy sauce, but the dish ultimately ended in the garbage. I also ordered the egg rolls. For some reason it was accompanied with a cup of crushed peanuts instead of the sweet and tasty sauce as described on the menu. The orange chicken was not awful, but I've had much better from a Thai restaurant just south of this location. I gave the restaurant 2 🌟's because the staff was very nice. Unfortunately the food did not support their hospitality.

My daughter and I went here last night for the first time and got the Tom Kha, Yellow Curry, and Lao Fried Rice. MY GOODNESS it was AMAZING!!! I have tried so many places around dfw and this is by far THE BEST! So excited they are right down the road from us so we can eat here often! The staff was amazing as well! So welcoming and friendly! We love everything about this place!

Fresh, and delicious food. You can definitely tell the difference in quality and we will be returning for sure! Their dumplings were superb, the beef jerky was amazing and the pad Thai was delicious! I highly recommend it
