Take out and 3rd party delivery only.(Grubhub, Uber Eat and Doordash)
Vegetarian, Vegan and gluten free option available.
Got take out from this place and it’s a SOLID thai food place. Best one I have had in austin so far!! I knew it was gonna be good when i got off the car and i got hit with a whiff of lemongrass 😂😂. I got the Pad Woon Sen, spicy level 5 and it was really really tasty!! It had broccoli, celery?? and onions✨and I ordered it with chicken. Nice portion might i add. I will say i like spicy food so the level 5 was not too hot. Will definitely go back to try more of their food. Also my friend got the green curry and i honestly think it was too little for the $12 he paid 😭😭 so maybe if you’re getting that then eat at the actual place; I feel like there was more rice than curry.😭
By far the most welcoming, friendly, and tasty Thai in Austin!! The food was prepared within a reasonable timeframe, everything was so flavorful, and the price point/portion size was just right. We ordered level 5 chicken pad Thai and level 4 panang curry. Delicious food and ingredients tasted fresh. The cashier/server was super friendly and helpful with any questions and very attentive, considering how EXTREMELY busy they were. Just in the 45 min we sat and ate, at least a dozen to-go orders came and went and she was so nice and hospitable to each single customer. We will definitely be coming back and letting everyone know what great food and service we received. 10/10
Lovely little Thai spot. Mostly great for to go orders. We didn't have to wait long at all to get our meal. Both dishes were amazing, we had both green and pineapple curry.
Best Pad Thai, so good. Although they still have some seating, it's really a take out place at this place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They also do a great job of under promise over deliver on the turn around time. 30-35 minutes, 25 minutes later.. food is ready. Full disclosure I've only ordered Phad Thai here but its incredible. I've heard from more adventurous eaters that the rest of menu is just as good.
I have ordered Tuk Tuk on uber eats like 7+ times! I have been searching for a good basic pad Thai for 2 years and Tuk Tuk has it! It’s flavorful, and the portion size is amazing for the price! I always have leftovers!! I’ve never been to the actual location but I’ve never had an issue with them! So good!!
We were from out of town and stopped by! It’s mostly take out but they pulled two tables up front together and sat my family! The waitress/hostess was so nice to us. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious and every time we go out to eat we choose Tai! This place is one of the best!
I dine at Tuk Tuk Cafe every other day. The staff are consistently polite and helpful. I have been a patron of Tuk Tuk Cafe for over six years. I have sampled a wide variety of dishes from their menu and have always been pleased with my meals. Currently, the green curry special is my favorite.
Very welcoming, clean, accurate, knowledgeable. Ordered takeout and it was ready within 10 minutes. The woman at the front counter knows how to handle her business and customers very well. I was absolutely impressed by her. I will be coming back to Tuk Tuk.
Lovely little Thai spot. Mostly great for to go orders. We didn't have to wait long at all to get our meal. Both dishes were amazing, we had both green and pineapple curry.
Stopped by Tuk Tuk Thai on Manchaca today. Friendly staff, even though I was just using the restroom (sign said "customers only," but they were cool about it). Didn't eat, but liked the atmosphere – they have some Thai groceries and knick-knacks for sale. Picked up a can of coconut cream.

Great people. They only do take out but they still set us up as sit in customers.
Love this Place, Small but Nice and friendly staff. Since COVID it's takeout or delivery only
Best Thai food I have ever eaten. I had the pineapple chicken curry with jalapenos. The owners give first class service above and beyond all expectations. Will eat here again any time I am in Austin.

Fabulous food. To go only
This place used be decent but the last few times have been abysmal. Egg rolls came dry with no dipping sauce and the Tom kha (which is my go to) had zero flavor. Even when I put 4star spice, it’s a bland mess with extremely rubbery chicken. Sad because this used to be one of the best Thai spots with great prices
Tuktuk has been our go to for about 5 years. The food is amazing, the staff is nice, it’s a solid place to have on rotation.
I have been coming here for years and I’m never disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing! If you ever been this belongs on your list!
Stir fry meal I had was quite good, decent portion size and price. Almost all the inside area was closed off when I went on a Sunday, so there were only a few tables to sit at. Maybe they're primarily takeout on Sunday. But it could be like that on all days for all I know.
Update: The sesame chicken has an unbelievably large portion of high quality chicken. I could not finish it in one sitting, which for me is an almost unique occurrence.
that Tuk tuk place is good you should try one!
The pictures of the menus are outdated
Food is so good and reasonably priced! The people in here are super friendly, even when they’re clearly very busy. 10/10 recommend!
Very good Thai food for south Austin. The current owners here have been here for almost 20 years. This place used to be Thai Garden and it was very good then too.
Best Tom kha gai I have had since Kanomwan in Houston. The y were very nice too since we didn't know it was take out only. My husband wasn't too impressed with the Pad cashew chicken, was a bit bland compared to the thai food he normally eats.
look i am very well travelled and have been in thailand before and let me tell you this is the first time in the us that food could actually live up to the food i have over there!
big compliment! its fantastic
Very nice and easy to order and nice and tasty food.
We love Tuk Tuk!!
Had some great curry. Its a bit sad it’s effectively to-go only but if it helps keep them open. Just don’t recommend eating in store.
Tuk tuk is the best Thai restaurant in Austin Texas. it's a family-run business and their food is consistently fresh and good. You get plenty of meat and fresh vegetables in the dishes. One of my favorite dishes is the Thai lomein -
It has cabbage carrots broccoli some garlic and the lo mein noodles and your choice of meat with a brown sauce. Delicious!
The owners are warm and inviting and the prices are really good. There's a few tables in the front where you can eat inside but they do mostly take out. Be sure to check their hours because they do take a break between lunch and dinner. Great place to eat!
Food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere—definitely five stars!
It’s too good. I highly recommend their noddle plates because they are amazing
I have been ordering from here for years because the food is always delicious but yesterday was my first time to dine in. The service was exceptional. The young lady that served us was so friendly. What a pleasant experience. As always the food was also phenomenal. This will always be my go to Thai place. Thank you!
Ordered on Uber eats. Could not have been more disappointed. Chicken satay has zero flavor both the noodle dish and chicken entrée poorly prepared under seasoned. Very sad I wasted $50 on this meal.
I honestly think this might be the best food in Austin. Had a religious experience eating my take out. This is the second time I’ve ordered from here and literally everything I’ve eaten has been EXCELLENT. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent on food. Thank you Tuk Tuk Thai 🙏🏻
It's an amazing place; the food is always great, and I have been a return customer since they opened!
For home delivery, I ordered Pad Thai with Chicken. It came with fried tofu instead. The 4/$4 eggrolls are horrible!
Always delicious, one of our go to local spots for thai.
Not that good, I ordered the vermicelli bowl #3 thinking it would be more like the Vietnamese ones I've had before with herbs and a fish sauce. This had a brown "special" sauce that wasn't even that flavorful, maybe a mix of peanut and soy sauce. And broccoli and over sized carrots and some soggy bean sprout. The tofu was too hard and overcooked imo. But the broccoli was cooked perfect for my taste, al dente.
The noodles and bowl were okay (mid) but mostly just bland with no spice even after adding the sriracha packet and boring for the price.
Best Thai place in Austin!! Super authentic! You have a customer for life now!!
I have been ordering food from this restaurant for years. It’s always delicious and the staff is super friendly.
It's not that great. Protein is minimal.
Amazing place, I used to go there 3 times a week.
Inexpensive and delicious. Love this place
I love their yellow curry. Delicious and you get a lot of protein and veggies, and they are super quick and on top of pick up && deliveries.
I am posting 2 weeks later. I order couple of stir fry and papaya salad.
Food tasted good until I get a hair in my mouth while eating papaya salad. I feel off, and decide to try and ignore and the second bite had a bigger hair. Then I just felt pukish because I imagine how unhygienic the whole thing would be. And threw it away
Came to Austin for a girl trip, I live in south Texas and this had to be some of the best Thai food I have ever!!
Not much room to sit as it's mostly to go orders BUT some of the BEST thai food I have eeeeever eaten! Portions are great, incredible flavor, awesome people. If you're in the area you 100% need to check them out.
Amazing pad Thai! Very nice!
This place is so delicious. A gem in south Austin and one of the best Thai places we’ve found since we moved here 10 years ago. Fried/steamed dumpling combo, get it. Pad See Ew, get it. Tom khah, get it…and so on and so forth. Tried a new dish the other night to switch it up. It had fried chicken in red curry with green beans and jalapeño. Okay lord, I see you.
My auntie recommended we pick up food here and I'm glad that we did. I'm not often in this part of town, but I was pleased and the hostess was super nice. Everything was yummy!
This place was recommended to me when we moved to South Austin. Everything is absolutely delicious and the staff is so wonderful. I love their items that they sell and that it's quaint and not super congested. Absolutely recommend getting the mango sticky rice and the pad gra tiam prim Thai.
First time visit. From West of San Antonio. Although it’s take out or delivery you are more than welcome to eat inside. Ordered beef noodle soup with extra noodles and beef. Was not a long wait. Very quick. The beef noodle soup was the most popular dish as many ordered it. They are very friendly and treated my family and I to free mango sticky rice dessert. Delicious!
Amazing spot with nice staff. Went with a party of four and everyone loved the food. They only do takeout but you're welcome to get takeout and eat at one of their tables (so dine in just eating from the to-go containers). The restrooms were clean. Will be looking to come back again soon.
This little Thai restaurant caught my eye as I was driving by while I was hungry. Glad I stopped. It's a simple little takeout place with great food in generous portions. I got the green Thai curry which was plenty of food for me and I took home leftovers to my husband. It fed him and there was still some left. The guy who took my order was very polite and gracious and brought my food to me while I was sitting outside at the tables and chairs that are chained up to each other with no shade. Not much atmosphere, and no place to sit inside, but perfect for takeout. Thankfully they didn't use any styrofoam and asked before putting plasticware with my order. In fact, I asked for no bag and he cheerfully brought out my Curry in a reusable plastic container with the lid and rice in a small paper box. Most places when I ask for no bag or silverware they give it to me anyway.
Simply the best.
They are pick up / delivery only at this time.
I really miss dining in here. The owners are amazingly sweet people and it always felt like an extended family, as my family had become sort of “regulars”. We still love Tuk Tuk, though, and gladly order take out when we’re able to. Our favorites are the Pad Thai and the Tom Kha Gai soup. My kids also love their fried rice and sesame chicken. The balance of flavors in the Tom Kha is the best I’ve had anywhere. Lots of places overdo the sweetness, but here….mmmm…it’s just perfect. They’re a south Austin hidden gem!
Great food!!! But they only have take out now. However, the staff let us eat inside and even cleaned up after us. I really enjoyed the food and wished my stomach was bigger so I could eat more. Parking lot is a little small, so just be aware of that.
Love this place. I've never had a bad meal from here.
Best Thai food in Austin, if not the entire US. Super high quality and forever consistent.
I've eaten here twice, many months apart, and both times the pad thai was bland and dry and missing ingredients. :/ I actually added some sauce I had in the fridge to make it more palatable. Fried dumplings were bland and very small, tom kha was just okay, Thai tea was good. I definitely recommend checking out other restaurants if you're craving pad thai or tom kha.
Really delicious! Loved the Tom yum and all of the noodle dishes were on point.
Delicious food! Service was excellent! Added to my favorites!
Favorite Thai restaurant in Austin!
Highly recommend the fried dumplings, crab rangoon, and khao soi!!
I am thai , order form DoorDash yesterday was so disappointing..
Great food and friendly staff. Big portions. Not much dining space so it’s more of a take out place. I’ll definitely go back.
One of my fav Thai spots in Austin! Super tasty and usually very quick!
My favorite Thai restaurant in Austin!
This is really one of the hidden gems of Austin, imo, especially for takeout. It’s small, so there’s not much seating, but everyone who works there seems friendly - thoughtful even.
Most importantly, though, their food is delicious and seems to be made from quality ingredients. Their fried dumplings and sesame chicken are highly recommended. I love that I can set a custom spiciness level for dishes that I order, too.
Warning that this restaurant doesn't have dine in. The food wasn't particularly spicy but very flavorful
just great food. me & my wife got the green curry, chicken pad cashew nuts, egg rolls, & thai coconut pudding. all the food tasted good, was prepared within a reasonable timeframe, and wasn’t too expensive. liked that there were vegetarian options!
Tuk tuk is always so good!!! Their Tom Kha is the best in Austin!
Loved the food - did not like eating it in my car as their dinning in was not open - take out only. Probably will not return.
This place isntake out only. The portions are decent, and they include all the veggie condiments like chopped peanuts and cilantro that other places don't include for free. Tonight, the noodles were a little overcooked, but other times, everything was perfect.
It's take out only but there's a place you can sit. Owners and staff are super nice! Food was delicious! And dessert was also delicious. We had the pad thai, beef noodle soup and steamed coconut rice. 10/10
Food is wonderful. I’m only sorry that they don’t do full service anymore and it’s only takeout. They have the best fried tofu anywhere! All of their food is fresh and homemade and delicious.
One of the best thai spots in Austin. The Khao Soi hit the spot. Flavors on point. Spice levels a little inconsistent between dishes but I don't mind. Glad to have this in south Austin.
Yummmmmm
Very good Thai at a decent price. Bonus for staff being extra friendly and helpful when you order take out. We will come back next time we are in town. For those wondering— we felt like the spice levels were on the spicier side. 1-2 were mild, 3 was hot, 4 was too much for us, can’t imagine what 5 is.
The best thai in Austin! Obsessed wIth the thai basil fried rice.
The Kao Soi was amazing, highly recommend!
Great food, very flavorful! Very friendly people.
They accommodate adjustments to make it Vegan. Reasonable prices and good portions.
This is a take out place, but you can order and eat at the few tables they have.
Love the fried rice! Definitely the best in south Austin!
After moving to Austin from Singapore, I had been in search of good quality Thai food. The mains were great and the dessert tasted just like Kaya Jam with sticky rice! Out of this world. Can’t recommend it enough.
Delicious chicken pad thai! 5/5 stars!!
Owners are really humble and will take good care of you. Food are awesome and they always make it with love. God bless y’all! Thank you for taking care of us!
This is probably my favorite Thai place in Austin. The food is really good, and for a great price. The staff is super friendly, and they even have a little shop inside.
I typically get their Tom Ka, which in my opinion, is the best thing on the menu. Everything I've tried from here is delicious though. I highly recommend this place.
Food is wonderful and never disappointing. I would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to try Thai food..
I eat Massaman a lot in Thailand and was craving it today, so I stopped by Tuk-tuk (love the name). I was very disappointed in the taste and craft of the food. This was a very bland milky sauce with very little massaman flavor only other thing in it was potato and chicken. The rice they gave me to eat it with was not that great either. For $13 I definitely, expect a lot better-tasting food. Sorry, but not good. Service is fine and I think the intention is good, maybe I just got the wrong dish.
Had the best experience with Tuk Tuk recently and wanted to be sure to leave a stellar review. My friend and I had lunch here and the food was delicious all around! My car battery died while I was there and then my phone battery was running low so they graciously offered me a phone charger and also to jump my car (had already tried with my friend and subsequently called a tow company). I felt so supported and they truly did not need to go so far out of their way to offer to help me. As I was waiting, another customer came in to pick up her food and said she lives north but this is her favorite Thai restaurant. Everyone needs to visit Tuk Tuk asap!
Best Thai Food I’ve had in TX so far…and I’ve been searching. Had Chicken Pad Thai, And TomKa, and Crab Rangoon. All tasty! Excellent service too. Right now they only serve food in Togo boxes but you can eat at tables no prob. They also have a little Thai Market so you can stock up on ingredients if you wanna cook Thai yourself! Very cute.
Food is consistently exceptional and service is great. Their Pad Thai is the best I’ve had in Austin.
Ordered what I thought would be a lovely dinner, got food poisoning so severe that I had to go to urgent care. Now I have to take meds for the next 10 days. The food wasn't even remotely good enough to be worth the risk. I haven't been this sick in more than 25 years.
Great Thai food, quick and easy. Currently not open for dine in, take out only. They do provide 4 tables in the front room to eat the take out containers on site.
asked for spice level 3 - soooo spicy and it didnt have flavor (salt, tangyness etc) i was crying in the first 3 bites and it was all just chilli flakes dumped on top not actually cooked properly. wasnt even edible i got the drunken nooddles wont be coming back
I've been eating here for years, and always look forward to ordering it in at the restaurant, or delivery during the work day. While it's always been top quality, my recent orders have been lacking. Burned Crab Rangoon, over sauced Pad Thai, Greasy tasteless fried rice. I'm not sure what changed, but it's been disappointing the last few months
I’m so glad I got to try this Thai restaurant here in Austin. I bought their pork pad krapow, pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. Pad krapow definitely hit the spot, totally would order that again. The pad see ew was a bit salty for my liking, but the dessert was such good value!
A little hole in wall, great Thai food!
I really love this place. Food is reliably delicious and impressively quick. I don't think you can dine in, only take out.
eh. Disappointing. As a work-from-homer, I wanted to get out of the house for lunch for a change of scenery. I got to Tuk Tuk right at 1pm and was puzzled to see the parking lot empty on a weekday. The reason? they havent reopened their dining room since the pandemic. I asked when they thought when they might open up again for dining in, and the answer was, " I don't know - maybe never!" So being a take out place is where they'd like to stay, ok that's fine, it's their business. Just dont go expect to hang out there and eat. More importantly , I asked specifically if a certain dish was made with sliced/chunks of chicken, or was it minced/ground. The hostess said " It's ground". To which I said GOOD that's how I like it ( I stopped going to a local Thai trailer when they changed ownership and changed from ground to chunky meat on this same dish, and when i make it at home, I do it with GROUND meat.) So I order the dish, gave spice level, and waited at the few seats they have left for you to wait in. It came out in a bag, guy thanked me politely, I thanked him, and left. When I opened it - at home- it is SLICED AND CHUNKY meat. And not very much meat to boot. So maybe this was a miscommunication, I tried to be very clear and it seemed like the hostess understood, but after all the disappointment I'm just not real high on this place at the moment. Maybe they'll reach out and ask me to come back and try to give them an opportunity to fix it. Maybe not. We'll see.
Edit: I must edit this review and change to 4 star - because I ate the food I was whine about and it was fantastic. They got skills in the kitchen . Next time I’ll make sure they know I prefer minced protein, but this was expertly seasoned and I’m going back .
My favorite Thai family restaurant in Austin. A+++
It was very good food and I ate 2 full entries to the last bite. The 5 star steal was the service. The employees that I spoke to and heard talking were genuine and beautiful. Love this place.
Pretty good Thai food and priced well. They had fresh ingredients and taste is authentic. Enjoy it every time I have it for lunch.
One of our favorite Thai food restaurants in Austin. They currently only allow take out food but I promise you it will not disappoint. In particular, their pad kee mao is a hit!
No parking, terrible food, terrible customer service.
I just had their Pad Thai...it was excellent! Their service was quick and friendly. I'd highly recommend Tuk Tuk Cafe!
Best Thai food in south Austin! Everything is always delicious, especially the massaman curry and mango sticky rice. I always like that they call you when your order is ready; it's a nice touch of good customer service. Staff is always super nice.
If you like Thai cuisine you'll love this place. My daughter recommended it to me and I recommend it to you!
Won’t give you soy sauce even if you ask for it.
I've eaten here at least a dozen times. Best Thai food in Austin. My favorite dish - by far - is their khao soi. It's so hard to find, and theirs is top notch.
i love this place so much! They always have a ton of orders being prepared, but they just do a great job every time. thank you!
Very nice people working here. They were quite busy with take out orders on a Tuesday night which is promising. My boyfriend really liked his Pad See Ew, but the Pad Kee Mow I ordered was pretty bland. Noodles were really salty and there were hardly any veggies. Fried egg rolls with the sauce were good.
Outstanding service!
Pick up of an online order was 2 hours late and a couple minutes after hour delivery. The small parking lot was cramped and crowded. Some of our food was cold. The food was not worth the wait by any means.
I will not be back.
My favorite restaurant in Austin. Out of the MANY times I've eaten here I've never had a bad experience. Everything is always fresh, the building is clean, and food never disappoints! I always get extra peanut sauce 🤤💕 Highly recommend!!
Our go to Thai place in Austin. Take out only. We often call/order online then pick up our order and eat at home. Have not had any issues with service. They call to let you know your order is ready for pickup.
Best fried dumplings in town! Get extra dumpling sauce and thank me later.
Love their food!
Always hits the mark for my basic thai cravings. Crab Rangoons are always delicious. Pad thai with tofu, absolutely yes, 2nd favorite place for Pad thai. Green curry, absolutely yes too, all the flavors and spicy, also 2nd favorite place for Green curry. Like I said, basic thai cravings. I'll keep coming back for sure.
Really good thai food. Try the flat noodles!
Great prices. Great food. Everything I’ve had has been amazing. They call you when it’s ready for pick up which I love. Very quick too.
The food is great but I strongly caution against ordering via grubhub. They consistently fail to deliver the order correctly. Somehow they've recruited all of the rejects that Ubereats won't take.
Good was great
Tuk Tuk has been around so long that it’s approaching cultural landmark status for South Austin. For like 40 bucks you can order three whole dishes, all of which rival the fanciest Thai places in town. Everything here tastes super fresh and the portions are leftover-worthy. I love how they keep it simple—takeout only. Tonight they called me ahead of pickup to let me know our order was already done. Dreamy!
I have dined in here and also gotten take out and it is mostly very good except that the shrimp in Pad Thai is always tough and overcooked.
I used to come here for dine in but still consistently get takeout. I love the spices and flavors, especially the noodle dishes. Many good options. If I’m craving something, this is it! Bring back the spring rolls. Enjoy!
Used to love this place but I will never exchange my money for their food again until they continue in house dining.
Food was not as great as reviews stated. Bad customer service. I don't recommend this place at all!
Best Thai food around. Family owned business focused on takeout and delivery. Love the Pad Khing, Pad Gaprow and Kao Soi.
Love this place. Employees are always very nice and the food is great every single time I order.
OMG, so good 🤤
Went during lunch: They do a good job of over-predicting their order times! So it said 45-50 min for an online order from start to finish, but it turned out to be a lot less (more like 20)
Tuk Tuk is the best Thai food in South Austin. Always a smooth experience with my call-in orders here. Location is hard to get in and out.
This place is soooooo delicious. Portions are huge I’m straight stuffed with plenty of leftovers. The staff is so helpful and sweet. 10/10
Best Thai place in Austin and prices are not outrageous. Beats Titaya and other Thai places in Austin. Chok-Dee in Manor is just as great! Thai teas in both places are great but my favorite is at Chok-Dee. Don’t go to other Thai places beside these two, their Thai food is the best in the Austin area! Don’t even waste your time and money on any other Thai places….
Food was missing the meat and was cold
