❤❤Sukjai Thai Food Truck ❤❤
Thank you very much ❤😊🙏
Maybe this is an off day for Sukjai Thai but I just received my order of tom kha. This soup has absolutely zero flavor. I mean literally no salt, no lemon, no Thai spices, nothing and maybe they forgot to season this batch. But I would not recommend this ever and I'm very disappointed. I spent so much money and didn't get anything that even closely met expectations or resembled this traditional dish.
I love their spring rolls and peanut sauce. 3 different choices and fresh rolled while you wait. If the fried whole fish is on special get it. Save yourself the overnight flight to SE Asia. I like it Thai spicy or you can ask for the sauce on the side. You won’t be disappointed.
Pineapple fried rice with a little extra red pepper flakes is another fave.
There are picnic tables behind the food trucks that always have shade.
Wow! I can't believe this delicious Thai food came out of a food truck! This is on par with some of the best thai restaurants I've ever had. When visiting any Thai place for the 1st time, I always start with Pad Thai. If it's good with something as basic as Pad Thai noodles, I figure everything else will be good as well. I ordered:
N1: Pad Thai Noodles w/shrimp. Flavor is spot on, portions were large, I got at least 8 jumbo shrimp that were cooked perfectly. Only compliment I can give this is that this is how my mom would cook it, a dish that you crave more of. Sweet, savory, noodles stir fried perfectly. Would highly recommend if you like Pad Thai.
A2: Spring rolls. Each roll had 3 jumbo shrimp. Flavor of excellent. Sauce is probably something you might not be used to but the coconut peanut flavor is mild and goes well with the rolls.
Must try underated desserts you won't find at many Thai places
D1: sweet sticky rice w/egg custard. You have most likely tried this with mango but the egg custard is a must try. This is something you do not see every day in thai restaurants. The sticky rice is not or dry at all, it's ooey gooey perfection. The egg custard is why I will ALWAYS order this everytime I go back. In fact, do NOT try this because I do not want them to run out when I order. If you've never had this before, try it and tell me I'm wrong about how good this dessert is.
D3: Sweet sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf with banana. Wrapped in actual banana leaf and a perfect dessert for later in the day when you're craving something sweet.
I will 100% come back again to try other dishes (larp, papaya salad, stir fry, curry, noodle dishes) and will update my review. This is a must try place if you want Thai food in Austin!
The service wasn't bad. It's grossly overpriced though. Food trucks suck. My real issue here is that it's a cold overcast day and my one true wish is to enjoy a hot bowl of Tom kha somewhere that is not my home. But google maps keeps taking me to food trucks as opposed to dine in restauraunts, I usually don't do food trucks but gave it a shot. Just felt like it wasn't worth 20 dollars for a small cup of tom kha and a small Thai iced tea. Yes I know average prices of Tom kha. Yes I know I could have gone to a restauraunt. This is my authentic experience: it felt overpriced for what it was. I also managed to burn myself, get Tom kha on my car seat, and on my pants, and now it looks like I busted all over myself and can't go home to change pants.
No more food trucks. I wish google would not list food trucks in restaurants near me. It is always a bummer.
Randomly found this place on UberEats—-now one of my favorite Thai places! Everything super fresh and authentic. Perfectly spiced. Delivers well. Don’t miss the Pad Ka Prao Moo Krob (pork belly)!! Highly recommend.

The best Thai we’ve tried in Austin. And since we first tried it, we stopped looking elsewhere!
The people are very friendly. The food is not too americanized but just average taste.
Best Asian food truck I have yet tried in Austin
try the fried fish or Pad Kee Mao
Friendly staff!
My boyfriend and I have been coming here for over a year and we love it! Dao is so kind and always sharing her menu suggestions. The food is always delicious and fresh. Try E1 and E11
Absolutely love Sukjai!! The service is fast and the food is the best Thai I’ve had in Austin, which says a lot considering how many places I’ve tried. The owners are so kind and friendly too!!
Chef’s kiss Thai food. Thank you
The best Thai food in austin
Great Thai Spot. Solid portion sizes and food was fresh! Pad kee mao & Pad see ew with chicken was excellent & Pad ka prao had great flavor! Will definitely be back.
Excellent Thai food truck. Each dish I’ve had has been impressive.
The Grilled fish is incredible!! Excellent portions and fair price.
I try not to be… but I AM a pad Thai snob. This more than hits the spot and the portions are extremely generous. Support local! The owner and chef was super sweet.
Great food & friendly people.
Sweet food truck with very kind owners. Everything I have tried is DELICIOUS! Best Thai food in Austin.
I’m super picky about my Thai food and this place is bomb!!! Everyone was very happy with their choices. The pad Thai was a bit too spicy for my husband and she remade it with no problem at all. Very nice service and food.
Get the friend rice and crab Rangoon’s, so good every time!! My favorite Thai food I’ve found in Austin.

The food was absolutely amazing and felt more authentic than a lot of other Thai places. You can tell the team really care about the food they are serving and it shows. First time there and definitely won't be the last!
Delicious Thai food. Love this food truck!
VERY GOOD. I had the pad thai and it was really good thankfully.. food in Austin is very hit and miss as far as I can tell, I can't tell you how many times I spent a lot of money to try to get some good food and I was very disappointed, but this place didn't disappoint
It’s been hard to find authentic Thai food in Austin, but this place doesn’t disappoint. I’d recommend the Moo Krob and Larb, but honestly everything we tried was fantastic!
Delicious and authentic, short waiting times, and the lady owning and cooking is so sweet and kind. So happy to have this Thai food truck in the neighborhood!
Great Thai food
Awesome customer service. Food is delicious. Clean and welcoming facility. Definitely recommend for everyone to try. Will be back soon.
Wonderful food. At the back of a food trailer court at S 1st and Live Oak, you won't notice it just driving by. An amazing selection of dishes, way more than the typical Thai menu. I got the pad ga time prik thai with pork. The seasonings were flavorful with a little heat, and the pork was perfectly cooked. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Absolutely delicious food with friendly and fast service. Thanks so much. Definitely worth stopping by.
The pineapple fried rice is a must! So much food, it’s really two meals for the price of one!
What a find! We had our typical places in Bouldin for thai food and they were all decent, but Sukjai will now become our goto place to order thai from as there is one dish you have to do well if you are a thai restaurant and they hit it out of the park…pad thai. We also got the pad se ew which was equally amazing. Taste was a 10, and portion size was enough for two of us for 2-3 nights of dinner.
SO GOOD ITS CRAZY. The Tom Yum soup was amazing!!! so much flavor! the curry is also absolutely delicious.
Amazing food. Very authentic. Super friendly. Great prices.
Tried Sukjai for the first time tonight, and my husband and I loved it! We got the pad thai (chicken and pork), the crab rangoons, and the green curry. Everything was wonderful - super flavorful and a great portion size.
I've tried a lot of pad thais in Austin, and I think this was one of the best. They use the thinner noodles, so if that's not your thing, just be aware! I usually prefer the thicker noodles and still thought it was amazing.
The owner had the warmest/kindest energy too - we ordered the green curry to go, and she offered to cook it closer to the time we were leaving to ensure it wouldn't get too cold sitting outside as we ate the rest of our meal. She was truly so sweet. Definitely recommend trying Sukjai and supporting her!!
Big fan! Authentic Thai! We had the pad Thai, pinnapple fried rice and green curry! We will be back soon!
Love the food here. It’s our third time to come, first to review. Have had beef & broccoli, green curry with chicken, chicken with veggies, pork with bell pepper & onion. Their food is fresh, brown sauce & curry are tasty, portions are generous, and service is excellent.. Hope to eventually try out their entire menu!
Yummy new thai truck ran by sweeties :)
Sukjai Thai Food truck has an extensive menu of Curries, Noodle dishes, soups, fried rice, appetizers and desserts. Delicious thai food. I enjoyed the deep fried whole fish, Pak Prik, Khing, mixed vegetables. It is very exciting to have a food truck that serves all types of vegetables including Chinese broccoli, green beans, green pepper, carrots, etc. Service was very friendly. I hope that sukjai continues operating in the South Austin Food Court!
Amazing & authentic Thai food! Get the fried rice!!

We got Pad Thai noodles with their Asian drink (FOCO Lychee) and both were extremely delicious. The food was a good amount where we couldn’t even finish for 2 people. The FOCO drink was the best and refreshing although it is a canned drink but is a must try. People here are so lovely and make the atmosphere so homely for their customers! Can’t wait to try other food from here.
I got the crab rangoon and spring rolls - really tasty and fresh ingredients!
Love this place ! The owners are really nice they even gave me 2 dishes for me to try randomly. They were so good I decided to buy some food for my family. Their dishes taste really fresh and authentic and it's not even expensive. Very nice service and even better taste.
