The chicken was high quality and well cooked. Their egg rolls are also really good. Shrimp tempura was also worth getting. My wife loved the tom Yom soup. The only dish that was a little disappointing was the green curry which was bland. Will definitely eat here again!

There are many options for sushi here and I can't say this is the absolute best because I haven't visited all the sushi places and likely never will... BUT, of the ones I've eaten at, Sunset Sushi and Thai is easily the best overall.

Solid restaurant, really good curries. I can vouch for the green curry, and the masaman curry as well. They do take out, and sushi as well. Atmosphere is just fine inside, but depending upon how busy it gets around lunch time, expect the service to be just a little bit slow. Otherwise highly recommend checking it out!

I love this place. Every time I go, I get the Tom Yum soup with shrimp, and then I vary on the entree. I usually choose between their red or green curries, which both are delicious. However, the last time we visited, I tried the Tony Bowl,one of tier poke bowls, and it's my new favorite.

Really enjoy the pho here. It's a small, laid back place with friendly staff. It's usually busy which is a good sign. I've only tried the pho and spring rolls, but everything else looks and sounds amazing. Definitely stop in if you've not tried it.

My go to for Sushi and Thai in this area! I'm a Sushi snob and they always have fresh Sushi. Atmosphere is nothing special but it's unfair to bring down a restaurant's rating over it. Pad Thai is odd, don't recommend after they changed recipe, but Panang, Pho and Rolls are the best!

I am currently eating an amazing bowl of Pho here at Sunset Shushi and Thai and my god is it good. I will say the crunchy crab roll I got while waiting is a little small but I am very happy with it. Perfect as a little starter but not wanting a full sushi roll before the Pho comes out.

I have been traveling to the Franklin/Nashville area for work for the past 5+ years and was fortunate enough to have a client bring me here once for lunch. Hate to leave a bad review, especially for a mom and pop place that's trying. Waitstaff didn't bring out appetizer plates, two people eating sushi had to share one ramekin for soy sauce, I've never waited tables, but this is nuts and bolts common sense stuff.
The sushi rolls weren't rolled properly and were falling apart on the plate, before one went to eat it.
Gyoza was okay, but an order is 4 very small dumplings.
The chicken fried rice looked like warmed up leftover Chinese. The chicken was rubbery, like it boiled in a saute pan.
The beef in my red curry was flavorless mystery meat.
I ordered a '4', and the curry was extremely mild.
I try to support small independent restaurants when I can, and I was hoping Sunset would be a diamond in the rough.

Save your money.

The spicy tuna hand roll was divine. Whole pieces of tuna with red spicy paste! I’ve almost completely stopped ordering these because other places serve a tuna purée.

We closed it out with Penang Chicken Curry with white rice. Also amazing! We will plan to stop here on our future trips to Nashville!

Terrible service. I ordered a king cobra roll- to go which I have ordered before when I dine in . First of all the chef was too busy having a full Blown conversation with customers at the bar to be bothered making my roll . I was sitting at the bar and saw the whole thing . When he finally made my roll it looked nothing like how it did when I dined in . I asked the waiters if they can at least put a decent amount of massago on the roll and they made a huge scene pretending they didn't understand what I was saying . It was so embarrassing everyone at the restaurant heard the conversation. There is no need to share my conversation with the whole restaurant and other customers . I had the Pad Thai and the Thai tea for lunch. It was fantastic. I haven’t had good Thai food in a very long time and it was such a treat!

Pad Thai is a bit salty. Sashimi is fresh. But what makes me angry is that at the end of my dine in experience, I saw a roach climb up my table. 😨😨😨. I used my spider sense to smash it with the soy sauce bottle. Called the waiter. He helped me cleaned the table. No apologize no compensation. And the chief says see you tomorrow. No thanks.

If you are use to having Thai food as second nature like myself, then this spot isn't for you. Food was decent, didn't taste authentic. However, if you're not so big on Asian food or don't care much for spice and taste, then this is definitely the place to go for a try out. You won't know the difference 😉

This is the best sushi I’ve had in this region. They know how to cook the rice without drying it out. The fish quality is also very good. Try the Tony Poke bowl. The beef fried rice is great!

Sunset sushi is a gem. The food is excellent. Great sushi, Pad Thai, Teriyaki (not that cloying, sickly sweet stuff, this is the real thing!). And the service is attentive and family-like. And while it's not fast food, the kitchen is quick!

The food was delicious. The atmosphere is definitely more family oriented, this is not a place for a romantic dinner. The service was horrible. The waitress who served my fiancé and I was extremely rude and dismissive. She only talked to my fiancé and whenever I tried to say something and she would talk to me with an attitude or completely ignore me.

Best red curry i’ve had in my life. Every time I eat other red curry dishes I wish I was eating Sunset’s red curry instead.

My husband and I LOVE sunset, my family has been going for year and we all love it, and since my husband and I got married we go at least once a week. The sushi is amazing and it’s a nice place to be. You can go casual or dress cute for a date! We always order 6 sushi rolls and I’ve tried every one, they’re all good! It’s our favorite

Food was pretty decent. Only problem is that my food came out about 15 minutes before everyone else's and I finished it before the rest of the table got theirs, except for my girlfriend's mom who was sitting across from me who picked off of all our plates and waited about another 15 minutes after finishing all of our food before telling the serve she didn't want hers anymore, to which she told us it was already made. So we waiting another 5 minutes before going up to the front to tell them we were all full and didn't want the last roll, and she turned around to tell the cook to stop making it. Would have been 5 stars if all the food came out at once or at least a bit more transparency with the service instead of telling us the last roll was already made and proceeding to make us keep waiting for it

We decided to try Sunset based off the amazing reviews. And well I guess we had very high hopes. While it wasn’t terrible it wasn’t also the best sushi we had. We had the Green Dragon, and the Volcano Roll. I liked the green dragon better and so did my wife. There may be better rolls but they don’t have a picture of what it looks like and so it’s hard for me to tell. All in all it was just ok. I did like the crab Rangoon though!

Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture but tonight I ordered the sunflower roll and it wasn’t finished - there was just a plain ball of rice in the center, no garnish or cucumbers or smelt roe. I also ordered the fresh rolls and they didn’t have rice noodles in them. Pretty disappointing.

Sat down waited to be served. Another couple comes in a few minutes later and is served before us (the waitress looked me dead in the face). It wasn’t until the server seen the look on my face that she decided to serve us. Mind you this is her area and she’s the only server for this area and there’s only two tables in the corner in the front of the restaurant. Covert and overt discrimination should never be tolerated. Safe to say we will never return. I’d advise all black people to never patronize this business.

Yuuuum!! Had to open up the second stomach for this unassuming find! Big rolls, lots of fish, super fresh and tons of choices. I landed on the King Cobra, didn’t bite but it was delicious! Hate to leave bad reviews but the sushi was just not good. Half my California roll was mostly rice, they couldnt even both to wrap the entire spicy tuna roll, the shrimp tempura roll was mediocre at best. Im sure they’re other foods are better, just skip the sushi

Zushimaki is a local gem featuring excellent cuisine and equally excellent service in an unassuming location. Their Pho is unparalleled around Franklin (Vui's, you're on notice) and my wife loves their Thai cuisine. The deconstructed sushi bowls are also a "fan favorite", I recommend the Tony bowl.

The food was really good! The sushi is the best! The Sashimi on the Salmon sushi was so thick, and the shrimp tempura in the roll was so fresh.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. I would have no problem eating here multiple times a week and sometimes do.

Best beef Lard Nar I have ever had. Portion was generous as if my grandmother was secretly back in the kitchen plating it up for me. Tom Ka Gai soup was right on the money. Everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere was great.

After going to five different sushi restaurants in the area some very highly priced, I finally have found our sushi restaurant! We had spicy salmon maki rolls, King Cobra roll and the sunset roll. Along with the hot green tea, cold beer and the Miso soup everything was delicious service was perfect and I will definitely be coming back!

Good food. The order was correct. Portion sizes were excellent. The beef bulgogi and shrimp tasted great. I wasn't a fan of the corn. Too many fries to meat ratio.
