Casual restaurant offering curries & Thai cuisine as well as a sushi bar & Japanese favorites.
This restaurant is complete garbage. The sushi rolls are tiny. The food SUCKED. All of the wait staff was either hooked to a phone or a tablet, was totally inattentive, and took forever to give me what I needed. This is all of the food that was left over because I didn’t want it. It cost $36.
Such a bummer. I’d actually pay double for your food for it to be better. Pad Thai is pretty straightforward and not complicated to make especially for a restaurant with word Thai in the name. Only ingredients we got -noodles, a little chicken, 2 flecks of green onion and extremely dry dish with a side of ground peanuts. Where were the eggs, bean sprouts, sauce and flavor? Maybe take off the items from your menu that aren’t executed well - less disappointed customers.
Great experience. Went after church with 12 people and were immediately seated and served water and orders were taken promptly when we were ready. Restaurant was busy but service was quick and we got to see our sushi made in front of us. Everybody enjoyed their meals of teriyaki chicken and rice; sushi fruit roll; pad Thai; chicken curry; oyster roll. I had monkey brain and while it was good it was not what I was expecting in the flavor realm, a little bland, but tasty none the less.
Excellent, authentic sushi and amazing Thai dishes.
White crab (not Krab) in Rangoon and sushi. Yellowtail roll was bursting with fresh hamachi and green onion flavor. One of the best yellowtail rolls we have had. Even the vegetable bed under the crispy pork was gourmet.
The staff are courteous and professional. Love the illuminated menus and tablet sushi pics/descriptions.
The Bahama Blue roll is now near the top of our "best ever" list.
No pics this visit. There are plenty posted that are representative of our quality meal. Will be back soon.
I had the Pui pui chicken with a side of ginger salad. The entree was good, but not my favorite. I'd recommend any of the curries on the menu instead. I wish the vegetables were actually cooked till they were soft enough. It's a great place, and it has been opened successfully for many years.
The atmosphere was nice. Very well designed. Clean restaurant and bathroom. Service was friendly. The food, however, was average. Got a beef bento box and it was drowning in teriyaki sauce. The deep fried veggies were ok, but we're mystery vegetables until you bit into them and had way too much breading in my opinion. Sushi was ok, but nothing that I couldn't get from the seafood section of Publix. If you go, go for the atmosphere and service, not because the food is outstanding.
really enjoyed the vibe and sushi here! will be back
Try the beef stew! It’s amazing.

Moderately priced .
Very yummers
Tasty sushi and a variety of good Thai dishes.
Sushi was epic, staff was super friendly, will be back
This was my second time eating at this restaurant with about 2 years in between visits. The food remains good and the service and atmosphere was a pleasant experience as well. When I'm in Franklin it's one of my go-to meal stops.
The food is great!
We drive an hour to get the sushi here.
Lunch was delightful. Noodle dish was plentiful and delicious and fresh. Chicken a tad dryer than I like but everything was really nice overall. Solid choice!
The servers here are so friendly and funny! They serve many things and have a variety of seating options. It's a great seafood option.
The sushi was good. Lunch for two cost $53 after their price increases and that was not a good value. I have been going here since 2011 and sadly it will be reserved only for special occasions at these prices.
This is a hard one because I've always loved this place, just haven't been in a while. Sushi wasn't as good as in the past. Very dark and hard to read menu.
The teriyaki is runny and bland. The bento box is decent. Service was very slow.
Never had a bad meal there
The sushi is consistently good! Love the miso soup and ginger salad.
This restaurant is complete garbage. The sushi rolls are tiny. The food SUCKED. All of the wait staff was either hooked to a phone or a tablet, was totally inattentive, and took forever to give me what I needed. This is all of the food that was left over because I didn’t want it. It cost $36.
Koi is Perfect except for one thing. They stopped serving the best Chicken Larb Salad (Laab) in all of Nashville. Please bring it back! Loyal customer for 15 years. This is the most consistent amazing food, perfect relaxing ambience. Pillar of the community. But not having the Larb is ruining my summer.
Almost certain I got food poisoning here. This was my first meal after arriving in the US on holiday and I ended up having very bad food poisoning for three days. Not a good start to a trip.
The food itself was very average - especially if you've had actual thai food before. I had pork fried rice - the pork was quite dry and chewy (I don't think it had been velveted). I'm also very confused as to why a thai restaurant would be serving sushi.
I arrived at night, and for some reason all the lights were red in the premises which just made the place feel very dingy, and i couldn't even properly see what i was eating.
The lemonade was nice though.
Update: taking off one more star for yet another subpar visit. Cashew chicken can be wiped from the list of dishes you can count on being delicious. Very poor service this evening. Expect Hit or Miss on the food choices. For example the chicken that I had last time was extremely dry and even though it was doused in teriyaki sauce. Service is okay, but don't expect someone to be waiting on your every need, whatsoever.
Came with my family to eat near closing time, and the service was wonderful. The place is very clean, and the staff is friendly. The pho bowls are HUGE, absolutely fantastic. Very cozy seating.
The food here was very good. Had Cashew Chicken (yummm) and The Dragon sushi roll, both were delicious!!
Great sushi with unique menu options! Great and friendly service.
Always good! Excellent food and service. Had some really delicious soup here recently for the first time also.
Delicious! Wontons were a little weird but everything else was great.
Koi is a favorite restaurant for really fresh sashimi and great Thai cuisine.
Always enjoy lunch here. The Pad Thai is the best anywhere!
Truly the best $20 pad Thai this side of 65. Really tho, lovely spot, dine in or go home and eat a pad Thai in the bath. Either way, I’m sure I will never try another Thai spot in Franklin, ever. This is how I am.
Such a bummer. I’d actually pay double for your food for it to be better. Pad Thai is pretty straightforward and not complicated to make especially for a restaurant with word Thai in the name. Great staff and AMAZING food. Can't wait to go back.
Family’s Favorite Sushi place🤗!
Really enjoy the lighting, tables and booths at Koi Sushi and Thai. Overall great ambiance and a fresh sushi bar that you are able to see when you walk in the restaurant. Slow service, however the restaurant was packed. Took roughly 5-10 minutes after seating to get a drink & 35-45 to get our food after ordering.
The crab fried wontons are some of the best I’ve had in the Franklin/Nashville area. They taste very fresh. Had the Edamame as an app as well. It initially came out cold & I asked for it to be reheated, shortly afterwards of that it was some great edamame . Have to get it with their chili sauce!
For the entree we ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box & Rock N’ Roll sushi roll. All their sushi taste very fresh and is delicious. The Rock N’ Roll was a solid 8.5/10. The chicken teriyaki bento box comes with a good amount of food. Chicken teriyaki 8/10, shrimp & vegetable tempura 6/10, California Roll 8/10, & a ginger salad 9/10. Lastly, the bento box also comes with fried rice… this was the downfall surprisingly. I’m not quite sure how to describe it, but the fried rice tasted and smelled like dog kibble. Was not a big fan and hardly touched it, this is my personal opinion. 1/10 on the fried rice.
Great food options, helpful staff.
I am attempting to get ahold of this restaurant at 5:15 on a Sunday, and the phone number will Not go through and neither will our online order. It says they are open, but we can’t get ahold of the restaurant. Unfortunately this is the third time this has happened!! All months apart?! If you don’t want to take “take out” orders, then say that, and don’t allow online orders, that won’t go through!! This is beyond frustrating for the third time.
Great food, reasonable prices and nice staff. It doesn't look like much from the outside but nice surprise inside.
Great sushi!!
Very delicious rolls! And the great and fast service!
We had a wonderful experience and the food fresh and served beautifully!!
Great sushi!! Lots of options!
The food was bad. Do not recommend if you've had Thai before. This will be a disappointment. I didn't have the sushi, so I can't speak on that.
I love this place! I found it about 8 years ago while working for the city. Meeting my friend Rhonda is the best part but the food service and total experience makes it all the best
Very good Thai food.
Although I did a take out, I know the interior atmosphere is very welcoming and Thai-like.
I want to love this place, but the food is too bland for me. Always cooked well, always under seasoned imo.
Good quality Thai food. Mains are sharable.
Great food for the price! Huge portions. Bento boxes are crammed with variety. The only slight negative is how each dish came out as it was ready. Some of us were done eating as others were just getting theirs. But the staff was very pleasant and attentive. Think they may have just been short handed. Over all totally reccomend!
good food!
Good sushi really fresh and some spicy selections.
I’d give the service a 0 if possible. Seemed like our server was high on something the entire time.
We got there when only about 3-4 small tables were seated, so not busy. Our server forgot my 2nd sushi roll, never checked on us during our meal until I grabbed him for a second drink, thinking perhaps my 2nd roll is still in the works, since it’s been about 40 minutes since we’d last spoken to him. We continue to wait for my other roll and my drink, both never come. We ask for the check and it’s incorrectly charged for the item I didn’t receive.
Pretty disappointed as my partner and I were out for a date night we don’t get often, and it was expensive for such a poor experience.
I recently decided to give sushi a shot and be opened minded about seafood. The sushi here did not seem/taste fresh. The color was off putting and tasted too fishy.
For my taste in sushi, there is none better! It’s got that authenticity and exquisiteness that I never find at other sushi restaurants. Tastes differ. Koi Sushi is king for me and my wife.
Lunch food tasted like frozen box food
This was a take out
I am a huge proponent of musical ambiance and if I’m in a sushi restaurant eating delicious sushi and Phô I dont want to hear sultry jazz sax, It just doesn’t make sense. It hurts me not to give five stars but we’re paying for an experience. Why not totally immersed us in the culture that make this restaurant so amazingly good.
Very tasty sushi; the chefs really know what they're doing. Great service. Nothing bad to write about.
Really nice choices, fresh sushi, good service.
the restaurant is in a series of companies but has a large dining area. there was a wait on Sunday evening but the wait was worth it. the atmosphere was very nice, we were met by a server soon after getting a booth. there is a generous number of items on appetizers, entrees, and beverages. I ordered seaweed salad and veggie stir fried rice and the servings were generous
we both had to get take home boxes. we will definitely go back
Wonderful food and wonderful service. If your in the Franklin area this place is great, also their sister resturante Blue Fin in brentwood is wonderful too! I highly recommend the wonton soup, so fresh, healthy and hot to heal the body. The shrimp pad woosen is excellent as well. Please do enjoy yourself while your here... your welcome 👍
This place is incredible..the only other place I know of is one that Paul McCartney talked about called Lotus in Memphis, Tennessee where they make their broth very slowly. Alan is a fantastic employee.
Yummy sushi
This is my favorite Asian restaurant
👍
First time customer. Exceeded my expectation. I will be back, for sure. 😉
Went today. Ordered Fried rice that came with salad or soup. Had wonton soup which was not very good. Anyway the bill comes and charged $6 for the soup! Waiter says oh that only comes with miso soup or salad. How about telling me while I’m ordering??? Will stick to my usual place has way better food and price
The squid salad was delicious and the red curry chicken was delicious as well. Would recommend.
This was our first time. It was absolutely packed on Mother's day and the food and staff were absolutely top notch
Love the sushi 🍣
I mean..its okay sushi. Okay service. Didn't really care for the treatment after they found out I was to go.
I had spicy eggplant with a combination of meats everything was delicious and tinder. My husband had a udon noodles soup also delicious. Will definitely be back
This was the worst possible experience at a restaurant, I believe now I have food poisoning from eating at their low quality restaurant. Please avoid this restaurant at all costs because it is not good to eat there.
Went with co workers. They loved it. I was full from lunch, just there for emotional support. Food looked great and my peoples liked what they got. Waitress was awesome.
Pad Thai is worth it
Teriyaki chicken was terrible and food is over priced for the flavor.
When not acting as if we did not exist for long stretches of time, our server treated us like we’d killed their puppy in front of them. The service really is what earns the low rating, though the food wasn’t great and the wait was ridiculously long for what typically is a simple order.
We had only a single beer each, a single roll each, and an order of gyoza to split. The beer and gyoza came quickly - the gyoza slightly underdone and the beer in a bottle instead of from the tap. That wouldn’t be a problem if our server had checked with us instead of making a decision for us. Sauce for the gyoza was good.
The rolls we ordered, on the other hand, took another hour to get to us, and were nothing special. Given the wait, I was hoping for better.
Good sushi and Thai.
Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my bestie and was served by the most amazing server, Alina. We have been coming here for years and will say this has been the best service by far. She treated us so well and was a joy to talk to. We have always loved Koi but we love it even more knowing that Alina works here. If you ever find yourself at Koi, ask for Alina!!! You won’t be disappointed
I think this is like a sister company to Blue Finn Sushi and Thai. The menu looked the same to me and the food tasted just as amazing. This location is open on Sunday's though!! I do think the other location is nicer in regards to appearance of the restaurant and service, but I have no specific complaints for this place. We had chicken teriyaki, fried rice, and gyoza and they were all delicious. Happy experience.
Be prepared to wait for your food and for waiters to be extremely non attentive. It wasn’t only us but several tables were complaining . We literally sat there at least 30 minutes before a waiter came over to take our orders. There’s lots of choices in franklin and this type of service spread by word of mouth would be detrimental to the restaurant. We heard the waiter tell the table behind us about people calling in and only one person in the kitchen. No one wants excuses. This was very unprofessional. To top everything off , food was served room temperature. It took one hour and 15 minutes for us to get our food , we saw at least 3 tables leaving , which looking back , we should have done as well . this place should be take out only if they can’t handle eat in. I hope management takes this seriously because other restaurants are coming and customer service is everything
😋
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and EXCELLENT sushi, there is nothing more to desire. I was REALLY craving Dim Sum, but I am kinda glad I didn't find it, as I landed here instead! This is going to be a disappointingly short review, but that is because there was nothing not to love here. I can see this being a regular stop when going to Nashville!
BEST THAI IN AREA! By far they always have fresh and well-spiced dishes. This is well curated menu, not thrown together basic dishes. The sushi is also excellent. Their noodle dishes are flavorful and well portioned. The Pho is excellent and packaged so that you can adjust ingredients to your spice level, the broth is always piping hot. The portions are excellent. They can adjust spices to your taste. It is a smaller restaurant so take out orders can take longer than usual when they’re busy, and there’s no good delivery option, but it’s worth it to make the trip. The only other Thai restaurant on the area that’s comparable is Jasmine in Brentwood, so if you like then you’ll love Koi- maybe even more.
The restaurant is nice inside, cozy with good ambiance. But the food isn't great, and the service is worse. Spent an hour and 45 minutes there for a bento box and an appetizer. Salad came out looked like a cat threw up on it, was like a salad soup there was so much dressing in the bottom of bowl. The rice was overcooked and almost like paste. Teriyaki chicken was mostly mushrooms and onions drenched in sauce. I would have rather eaten at panda express.
By far the worst Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at.
The service was incredibly slow and non attentive. It took over an hour to get our meal and the restaurant was not full.
The salad was awful, the dressing was chunky and looked like cat vomit.
The teriyaki tasted like it was cooked at a gas station.
The rice was slimy and over cooked.
The sushi was the only thing that wasn't gross.
I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I recommended going elsewhere.
Definitely a go-to spot. Great portions, good food, and perfect for pick up.
Fantastic food! Always come here whenever I'm in town
It’s got that chill jazz vibe 🎷🎺. The pad Thai is bussin. My sister said “ The sushi is bussin no cap.” Also the service is great and fast.

I got my order to go and the forgot my rice. Food is tasty but curry was watery and sushi didn't have as much flavor as it could have. Something fresh like a little chive or cucumber I side would have made it better.
We went last Friday and because we were a group of 6 they added an 18% tip. I guess since the waiter knew his tip was assured he decided to just not come back to the table after he gave us the food. I had to go get him to get the check and go get him again to give him the credit cards. No one got any refills on water or anything else.
I'm sure the food is probably good but the servers are extremely rude. Definitely no Southern hospitality there at all.
This was not good… at all. The first time we’ve ever thrown away sushi. I’ve had sushi all over and this was awful. Go to umi or Publix even It also was ridiculously expensive. I wish I could take it back for a refund
This used to be my favorite Thai place in Nashville, Not anymore. Worst service. Prices have increased like fine dine restaurant but the experience is more like a take out place. No one comes to your seat to get orders, You walk to them and place orders/ pay for food etc...
Good pho.
They always have great food and attentive service! Wide selection of sushi as well as regular menu items.
Un arros 😋 🤩
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Franklin
I had the Pui pui chicken with a side of ginger salad. The entree was good, but not my favorite. I'd recommend any of the curries on the menu instead. I wish the vegetables were actually cooked till they were soft enough. It's a great place, and it has been opened successfully for many years.
I was deliberately overcharged on my order. Ordered delivery with a subtotal of $62, ordered 5 items off the menu with no special requests/changes/sides. Was charged an extra $22 for "Adjustments" just added to the total and an extra tip added. The food wasn't great either, I wouldn't order again based on the food alone.
Pho I hear was very good from our friend while we all had Sushi that was well prepared. The portions were above average and we would recommend Koi.
Don’t think I’ll be back. I’ve been here a number of times. Haven’t been in about a 8 months and went in the early afternoon around 5pm. I remembered the sushi being pretty good. It was pretty bad. The spider roll was terrible. The soft shell crab was cold and looked like it have been refried. The spicy tuna roll (even with the amount of sauce they mixed in) you could tell was ready to turn. The wasabi was almost hard.
In general the place needs a facelift. I can tolerate poor atmosphere if the food is outstanding but this place is just old and tired. There’s plenty of other choices in Nashville now. A very uninspiring meal and experience.
Every time I have A DoorDash order to pick up from this restaurant, there is a problem.
This is such an amazing experience every single time. We try and limit it to special occasions, but we definitely have been plenty of regular-old times as well. Some of the greatest and most creative rolls around. The craftsmen behind the case are masters of their craft. Presentation is always a focus for them, and it shows. Service is always amazing across the board. Don't do yourself the disservice of missing out on the Monkey Brains (the name...🤔 I get it). Trust me.
Great service. Food to table in less then 10 min ordered 2 rolls. The Golden Roll was great!
We first went there in 2010-2011 and it always was great experience. They have great selection of fresh seafood and very delicious sushi. Super frandly staff.
Very tasty Thai food. This is one of our regularly visited restaurants.
Pretty good, portions are way too big for us.
Food was amazing!!!
Not sure why people are saying things have went downhill. We're only passing through, but we can assure you that this place offers delicious authentic Thai. The sushi is quite good as well and we will be back when we're in town again. Bonus points for bringing prik nam pla with the chili tray. Almost forgot, the service was excellent and friendly. I saw some people complaining about a lack of friendliness, keep in mind that other cultures act differently, plus people can be shy due to a communication barrier.
First time here, did NOT disappoint! Sushi was a good appetizer, the salad with ginger dressing and the gyoza were amazing! The best part, the pad kee mao, was delicious! 5 stars was actually spicy, just right for today! So glad we got to try a new place today.
My husband and I both ordered Pad Kee Mao level 5 spice. Definitely spicy which we loved. We also ordered sushi which was good. The gyoza were fantastic and you can tell they were made fresh-tasted all the fresh herbs
I asked for spicy and the lady on the phone blew me off. I made it clear I wanted it as hot as they could make it I get home and there is nothing spicy about this. There is no heat at all. Worst 20 dollars I've spent
Awesome!
