Serving since 2013, Tasty Thai is an experience of traditional Thai Owners and chefs. You will be able to take a trip to Thailand without leaving the beautiful city of Charleston. We offer truly authentic Thai cuisine - Pad Thai (The National Dish of Thailand) to basil fish filet as well as tom kha gai and shrimp salad. We assure you that we use the freshest ingredients to give you an elegant taste of Thailand like no other. If you love Thai food and are in the Charleston area, then we think you've found your go–to spot.
This was some of the most flavorful Thai food we’ve (wife and I) had in some time. My wife got the Yellow Curry with Tofu and I got an egg noodle dish with tofu. We also got spring rolls and crab Rangoon for our appetizer. The service was excellent, everyone was super friendly, and the food came out quick. Definitely recommend this place!
This used to be our go to place for Thai food in Mt Pleasant. Sadly, we can no longer recommend. The curries used to be thick and sumptuous but are now watery. They are skimping on dinner take out order quantities. They still have a very cordial staff. But that in itself is not enough. Instead I would highly recommend Tasty Thai across from the citadel mall and Thai Elephant across Northwoods Mall.
I'm extremely picky when it comes to Thai restaurants but I love Tasty Thai! Everything I've tried is so good but my favorites are the spicy udon noodles, basil chicken and the yellow curry. Great lunch specials too!
My fiancee had raved about this place when it was in it's old location. For a while we had thought they had closed entirely, but we just found out they had moved here. I very much enjoyed everything Tasty Thai offered. Don't be fooled by the sign out front saying that they are closed on Sundays. They recently changed their hours so they're open everyday. We had the crab wontons, the golden bag (chicken dumplings), and the house salad to start. All delicious, the salad dressing especially was amazing. Idk what it was but I want the recipe. For mains we got the pad see ew with chicken and I had the drunken spaghetti with beef. Level 1 spice was just a nice hint of heat. The flavor of both of the dishes was excellent. The beef was cooked really well (not over done). We finished with the mango sticky rice which is a must at any Thai restaurant. Check this place out for sure.
Just visiting the area so have no prior experience with Tasty Thai & Sushi, but I can say the Basil Chicken and Pad Kee Mow were both excellent! The flavors were great and nothing is too spicy unless you want it to be.
Service was welcoming and quick, food was ready quickly, didn’t once feel rushed.
My only “complaint” would be the cost for the portions you get, our cost was $40 for 2 with only ordering 2 entrees and 1 (non-alcoholic) drink, not including tip. But unfortunately that’s getting to be par for the course eating out anywhere.
It was great to find a sweet and sour dish where the meat was prepared without breading. The curry was delicious, too, and you can choose the seasoning level.
A cozy hole in the wall with great food and service. My regular go-to for Thai in Mt. Pleasant, absolutely recommend!
My husband had a noodle dish and I enjoyed the vegetable with chicken in brown sauce. Both were delicious! Server was very attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant and calming which was welcomed after a long day on the road. Our first time here and we will return. Prices were reasonable, portions were plentiful.
Tasty Thai food, good sushi, friendly sushi chef

Sushi was not good, rice quality is terrible and salmon is flavorless
Authentic Thai food. Excellent!
This restaurant has been lying about ingredients. They have been telling my family for years that they did not use various ingredients in their food and they do. I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone.
Great food and service
Excellent food! Large portions. Comfortable atmosphere.

Was there for sushi but was told it didn't start till 4 PM, kind of disappointed

The fresh summer rolls 😋

Comfortable place with friendly staff; large portions of delicious food.
Cute little spot in Mt. P! We went after the lunch rush . The food came out quick and was super fresh and delicious.
The total through the receipt was supposed to be $64. They charged me $89!!!
Best thai food we have ever had. We ordered an array of items all came out correct, hot, and delicious!
Food was delicious. People were coming in and out for their pick-up orders. Staff was a bit lite, but he made up for it with service. Very attentive with our and other tables. Restaurant was clean.
Loved the tofu noodles. Very tasty
Amazing Thai food. I do not exaggerate when I say it is the best Thai food I have had in years. Definitely authentic and highly recommend!
Truly a delightful meal, excellent appetizers and something new for me... Ong Bok, which sounds more exotic than it is, had the flavors that attracted me to Thai cuisine in the first place.
Fantastic food! Great service!
Food is good especially considering it’s ethnic food in Charleston. Environment is nice, and doesn’t burn a hole in the wallet.
10/10! I went for a work lunch and we split the curry soup and Pad See Ew, they let us customize each of our dishes to how we'd like and everything came out delicious! That curry broth is some of the best I've had. I will be back!
Fantastic food and service. I often order for delivery and the food is great. I also occasionally deliver for Uber eats from this location and it is the best place to pick up from. Always on time and they greet you right away with a smile. Extremely friendly, professional, and tasty. Highly recommend.
I discovered this gem a few weeks ago and now I can't quit going!! The curry soup is FANTASTIC!!! I'm obsessed. My sushi is always very good as well. Can't wait to keep going back!
Food tastes great, which justifies the slightly higher pricing. Curry noodle soup was great indeed. Others liled the sushi and pad thai.

Came in and placed a Togo order. The Tom kha gai was phenomenal and full of flavor! Did not have to wait long.
I worked in the Charleston area for a few years, and stayed nearby on Sullivans Island; during that time this quickly became my favorite restaurant in the entire Charleston area. I went at least once a week while in town; usually to dine in, but occasionally ordering take out. The location would make you easily over look this establishment; but the food is wonderful, and I love the environment and atmosphere inside. I love the interior, it is very calm and relaxing to me; and extremely clean. The service was always phenomenal; the staff is very friendly, and always professional. Everything I tried on the menu I was very pleased with, and the food was consistent every time; and always well plated. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food, service, atmosphere, and environment. I’ve been to restaurants that are double their price, that aren’t as well rounded and consistent. Parking isn’t an issue due to the location, and the large parking lot.
My Recommendations:
• Garlic Pepper Jumbo Shrimp
• Chicken Teriyaki
• Sushi (I loved Every Roll)
• The Sweet Tea is amazing also!
Unfortunately this was the worst Pho I ever ate. No basil no lime and no cilantro, which is also supposed to be in the traditional pho. I ordered delivery and I didn’t even get chop sticks or a soup to eat it with
Good Thai food, it was very satisfying for me. Prices were just a little more than what I'm used to. But maybe that Charleston prices.
Quick and great service, server was very nice and the atmosphere was calm. Great for a relaxing dinner with family and friends. Food is high quality.
I thought this was gonna be just another run of the mill take out, and I was completely wrong. I got the beef noodle soup, with the option to choose the level of heat/spice, as well as the wontons. Both had the best quality and taste of any Asian restaurant I've been to in Mount Pleasant or downtown. This is definitely a new regular for me.
Stayed at a hotel near by and grabbed takeout. Hot, fresh, and delicious!
I went here with my husband last week and the food was great as always! However to enjoy a dinner out, you don’t only need great food, you need a pleasant experience with the restaurant itself. We had Moises as our server and when we left we both agreed he was the best server we’ve had yet! Always asking if we needed anything, if the food was how we liked, keeping up with our refills, etc. On top of being professional, he was also super sweet. Give this guy a promotion lol. Definitely consider coming here:)
Delicious, great and clean atmosphere, and wonderful service.
Eat here. The food is delicious and the service is great. The decor could use some upgrades, but you're not eating the decor. You may wait a minute to get your food, but you know it'll be fresh.
Perfect to eat asian spicy food. Highly recommend the place
Good food. Good service.
Tried the house salad, basil chicken, and spring rolls. All of it hit the spot and was fresh.
Great location, seedy dingy atmosphere. Food warmed over Thai Pad.
So good, authentic, and has some vegan options. Will return.
Very authentic Thai food. When they ask if you want it hot, they mean hot!
The staff here is so great. Food and cocktails were good
First time trying! Was super good! Also thought it was nice to offer employee tip section. It is well deserved!
We find Tasty Thai with pure coincidence. The food was delicious and the service was fast, temperate and very friendly. What else would we more? Great food, taste it!!👍
This was the first Thai I tried in Charleston, and now the only Thai restaurant I will order from. The prices are fair, and the portions are generous. My favorite is the massaman curry; it's a warm, comforting dinner dish. I definitely recommend you give them a try!
Delicious food!

Great Thai, number 3 heat was perfect!! Thank you
I hate writing bad reviews but they deserve one.
If you are in town and are ordering to go by phone, be sure and check prices. They also charge $1.00 for one duck sauce. They don’t furnish napkins or eating utensils(forks
and spoons).
There are much better Thai restaurants in town.
Not our favorite place but food was cooked well.
I tried this today for the first time through Uber eats which is always a little tricky because it takes a while to get delivered. I didn’t take a pic because it wasn’t the best presentation and didn’t do the flavor justice. I got the curry noodle soup with chicken and it was so good. You can pick your spice level so I played it safe with medium and it wasn’t too spicy. The flavor was great. I definitely want to try more menu items but this was good. I would definitely recommend this.
Solid portions for takeout. I keep coming back for the pad Thai.
They have the best chicken pad thai in town. Very delicious!
UNBELIEVABLY good food!!! I mean it doesn’t get any better trust me on this one!!! NOT A FAKE REVIEW!!!
Tasty Thai…? No…. Wasteyyy time.
Don’t know what happened to this place.!
Every time I visit this restaurant the employees are always pleasant and accommodating. The food is flavorful with a wide variety of options. My favorites so far are the Pad Thai and Pad See-Eu but I will be trying other items on their menu soon. They also have different types of teas you can try as well. I would definitely recommend trying Tasty Thai.
Really quick with the food! Good quality curry and pad see eu.
Tasty Thai has been a phenomenal experience for the last 7months that I have been eating their at least twice a week im in the building. The food is fantastic and I always tend to eat my lunch from this restaurant when im in Mount Pleasant..The Pho is my absolute favorite from this place. The Chicken Satay and Garlic Entrees are my next go to, very flavorful and sautéed to the perfect texture. I recently experienced the Drunken Thai Spaghetti and what a treat it was the spices was everything and more. With every bite you could taste the flavor around the dish. I totally recommend this restaurant if you're in the Mount Pleasant area. The customer service is impeccable very friendly and family orientated love this place!!!!
#Your #1 Security!!!!!
This family owned restaurant is honestly one of the best in Charleston. Everything is made with so much care and you can definitely tell that all of their dishes are of best quality. I would for sure recommend stopping by for some authentic Thai food!
I have been ordering from this resturaunt for years, and I know every time I can expect fresh, great tasting food. The basil chicken and cashew chicken are my favorite, the rice is always properly cooked, the chicken well seasoned, and the vegetables always crisp and fresh. I've tried many Thai restaurants, but none of them can compete with the fenomenal food here.
I love this restaurant! The thai tea here is the best. I usually don't even like milk teas, but I order it every time I go! The basil chicken and pad thai are also some of the best I've had.
The food here is great!
Though usually a noodle lover, the Basil Eggplant (with tofu) will always be my favorite Tasty Thai entree! I had the Pad-See-Eu (rice noodles with broccoli, egg, garlic, and sweet soy sauce) and liked it, but it wasn't great enough to make me really want to come back (on the flip side, my dad loved it!!). However, when I dined here again and got my trusty Basil Eggplant, it was banging! Perfect amount of spice, cooked veggies that still had some crunch, sticky white rice. Just perfect.
We also had the egg roll appetizer (it was a special for $3)..they were more like little spring rolls, just fyi. The service was wonderful! Plenty of water refills, very friendly and positive attitudes, well-paced, a manager walking around checking to see that everyone was pleased. They were pretty empty (only 2-3 other tables) but they do to-go orders as well which was getting some hits. I'd say, go try it!
My family used to love this restaurant but since the pandemic it has gone downhill. The sushi tastes weird like they add a preservative to it. They only do takeout at the door while the dining area is used for storage. Meanwhile Tokyo Bistro food tastes great and their restaurant is open for dining. I hope Tasty Thai gets it together.
I've eaten many times and most of the time it's really good (I often get Pad Kee Mao, Green Curry, Pad See Ew, and have tried other things), but they have a real problem with consistency which is frustrating.
Today I got Pad Kee Mao - Thai Hot and it taste like they ran out of the red chilis, so the cook dumped a ton of black pepper on it to make it "spicy". Not only was it still not very spicy, but it killed the flavor of what is normally a really good dish.
Not sure if they have a shortage on cooks or what, but I've had similar issues in the past with inconsistent flavors. This place has great potential, but it's a bit of a gamble in my experience.
I never visited Thailand and haven't tasted its genuine food. But I like this version of Thai food. We enjoy red curry and Pad Woo Sen.
I'm sure the rest of the food at this place is phenomenal, but the pho... it honestly isn't the best thing I've tasted. I decided to try this place today because my favorite pho place was not available for uber eats until 12 p.m. but honestly I was really disappointed. The pho was okay, but it wasn't amazing. For one thing, all of the meat was in the broth so that kind of ruined how good the meat was because it got hard and not nice and chewy. The herbs were already mixed into the broth as well which doesn't pop the flavor as much. Anyway, as a fellow asian if you're going to make pho please make it right!
