Unassuming locale with traditional decor offering classic Thai noodles, soups, curries & stir-fries.
i love that i can make almost any dish vegan. We love the fried tofu as an appetizer with the dipping sauce. The pad see ew, pad kee mau, pineapple fried rice with tofu and no egg super delicious. Also, their curries are really good, but everything with tofu just makes it better! oh and their thai iced tea with coconut milk is great just make sure to ask for coconut milk.❤️
the food is incredible. highly recommend the masaman curry and the thai style papaya salad. i do not eat meat and can eat so much here! i only do takeout & the food is packaged securely and neatly. the service is friendly and respectful. the prices are fair and the food is excellent. vegan friendly for sure! my go-to thai place and my favorite restaurant to recommend. added pics of the menu to this review.
Came in and placed a to-go order. It took about 15 minutes to make. The food was still hot by the time I got to the hotel. Their prices are reasonable. I was surprised that an appetizer and main dish were under $ 20. The staff was nice. The spring rolls were tasty. The pad thai was good. I've had better, but it's still worth trying.
I’ve driven past Thailand Restaurant many times and finally had the chance to stop in for dinner, before visiting Saluda Shoals Park, and I’m so glad I did! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and inviting the restaurant was. The menu had a great selection of vegetarian options, which I really appreciated. I ordered the sweet and sour tofu, and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce had a nostalgic flavor that reminded me of a beloved family recipe from my childhood. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were fantastic. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
This is my go to thai restaurant here in Columbia. They are always solid, my husband and I have never had anything we didn't like or thought could have been seasoned differently. If you're looking for your standard good thai food this is the place for you.
Our personal favorites include the green curry and the papaya salad. So good. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
The lady that helped us was really nice. She noticed we were sharing and brought us extra plates without us asking. The food came out fast and was delicious. I highly recommend the Rama Duck and the Fried Calamari. I tried some of my sister’s House Fried Rice too and it was great! The Tom Kha soup was delicious, but it’s the Rama Duck I can’t stop thinking about. It was hard to stop eating when I was full.
We tried this place cause we visited Leo's Landing and saw the previous reviews but I am very much disappointed with the food. We ordered small tom yum soup and it basically taste like hot water with a bit of seasoning with 4 pcs of shrimp and uncooked mushrooms. Tasted the mushrooms and it's basically raw.
The fresh springs rolls were ollldddd! I am very sure of that. I always make fresh spring rolls at home and once the wrappers are fresh you can chew them easily and the one I ordered wasn't. It' soo gummy.
2nd, the lady who served the food kept on emphasizing to be careful with the dishes (plates and glasses) which made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in eating. She made us sit next to the bathroom which culturally is the worst dining spot (she probably did not intend to do this though) but I asked her the first time if we can sit on a certain spot but nope. Mind you the restaurant wasn't full. There were just 2 people eating inside.
The ambiance is fine but basically the food does not taste good.
Hidden treasure. Small restaurant but great Thai food..

The most authentic Thai in town at very reasonable prices.

Sub par at best, unfortunately..
The absolute best place for AUTHENTIC Thai food hands down!!

Delicious food! Served up very quickly with generous portions.
The food is amazing! The service was impeccable! Kenneth went out of his way to accommodate my family! I highly recommend Thailand Restaurant!
One of the worse places that I have ever been to.
The lady was very racist and I could tell that she didn't like taking my order. Placed my order while on lunch break. I never got my food by the time she came back to my table my break was over . Highly racist here.
Very delicious food, first time there of many more to come ❤️
We were seated, sat there for 20 minutes and still did not even get asked what we wanted to drink. If you can't keep up, hire people who can.

Cutely decorated and delicious food! Ask for extra spices if you like your noodles hot!
One of the best spots I've ate at in Columbia in a long time. Well priced, excellent service, and generous portions.
Go in for the full menu, lots of vegan options and they had no problem with dietary restrictions 😊
We have eaten at this restaurant for years. We’ve tried several others but they never measure up. The interior is adorable and very clean so don’t let the exterior throw you. As with all Thai restaurants you have to learn which level of heat you like. I like my Chicken Pad Thai medium but my daughter likes her Green Curry mild. Please give them a try. Everyone we take says the same thing, “It’s the best Thai food they’ve ever had.”
Our family's favorite Thai spot.
Food was DELICIOUS!!! Atmosphere is quaint and wholesome. Would recommend!
However, their two waiters severely lacked in good service. Would recommend the owners invest in better wait staff.
Very friendly, and nice portions, 👍 highly recommended 👌
Had the chicken yellow curry, the vegetable basil fried rice, and the spring rolls. Both were really good but the yellow curry was my favorite. The spring rolls were ok. Took a star off because the food came in a box with the spring rolls not covered.
If it were possible to give 10 stars I would. The food is incredible!!! This is the only place I’m going to get Pad Thai from now on.
Awesome & Authentic Thai restaurant
We have generally enjoyed dining here over the years. This is definitely a unique place and unlike any other, which is its big appeal to us. We appreciate the culture infused atmosphere, their background music and typically generous portions. I even happen to love the mismatched dishes and glasses. Most places could not pull that off, but here, it works! Nothing seems to have changed over the many years that I have been coming here.
The good always tastes very good and is cooked to order.
Do anticipate taking your time as service is slow due to what seems to be a lack of help. I have dined in 2 times in the past 3 months while passing through the area. Both times there was no table service following the drop off of our food. (really) The previous visit someone occasionally was seen in the register area but the most recent visit no one even came out from the back except for when the door opened.
My friend got up by the kitchen entrance to call out loudly repeatedly just to get someone to come back up front so we could request our checks and get boxes. I wondered if the man was possibly even working alone, but feel like there must have been at least one other helping to cook.
*I ordered beef pad Thai and felt I was majorly skimped on the beef portion, getting maybe half of what I was expecting for the cost. Because no one returned to the table I didn't bother bringing it up.
10/10 experience!! The people working were super sweet the environment was clean and peaceful! And food was the best I’ve had in a minute.
This is a small restaurant with a big flavor! They make delicious food and the service is always great! They have traditional Thai curry and other great Thai options on the menu. We enjoy the chicken satay appetizer with peanut sauce too. The Tom Kha soup is tasty on a cool day. I would skip the Thai ice tea though. It had a lot of ice and was watered down for my taste. If you love Thai food, please try this wonderful little restaurant! I definitely recommend it!
Great food! We had Panang Curry and Pad Thai. Definitely stop in and get some great food at a decent price!
I ordered house pineapple fried rice. It wasn't really fried but steamed. The dish was pretty bland.
It’s definitely a “hole in the wall” joint, but the staff is attentive and sweet, and you can’t beat their Massaman and pineapple curries.
Food is really delicious. Quality and quantity both are amazing. Definitely recommend.
Wow! I went here yesterday for the first time and I will certainly be going back. The food is top notch and you can tell that it is made with really fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is just right and the owner is very polite. The worst part is not being able to order the whole menu.
Figured I'd give it a second shot, but unfortunately, I got old, rewarmed duck. Ordered Bangkok duck, and it was like jerky. I was very disappointed as I know if that weren't the case and it was fresh duck, it would have been a much better dish. The first time I could tell it was old retarded but it wasn't nearly as bad as this time. It solidified my mind that it's time to move on from this restaurant.
Very nice experience!
Delicious, fresh food served with care - definitely the best Thai food, I have ever had.

Delicious calamari, Tom Yum soup and Pad Basil Beef. 😋 Excellent service and atmosphere for a lunch date.
Love the red chicken curry and the soup that comes with it for lunch. Great combination and just enough to fill me up.
Food was spot on. Family run.
I’ve been to Thailand many times, and struggle to find authentic Thai food here in America. This place was great and very authentic!
All that was missing was some Singha or Chang.
Looked at the reviews and thought I'd give it a try.... not worth it. The fried rice was hard as if it was old. It was not flavorful and it didn't look like Thai Pineapple Fried Rice that I've had at Thai restaurants. I couldn't didn't want to finish it. I won't give this place a second try.
Don’t miss the rare and illusive incredibly delicious Thai donuts. You won’t regret it. Satay, crispy rolls, and everything else was excellent.
Im not going to waste your time with a drawnout review. Food is amazing! And thats all there is to say. You will not be dissapointed
Soup was cold.
I have been to Thailand many times. This is very close to authentic
Wonderful food and service. We got the pad se ew and pad kee mao. Both had lots flavor and enjoyed the ratio of veggie to meat. The prices were also very reasonable. We came in during lunch and got soup with our entrees.
Totally would come back and would recommend to others.
Great realistic food. Fast service and friendly. Love eating there
This hidden gem is a weekly treat for us. We try something new every time and they haven’t missed a mark yet. Our go-to is the Pad Kee-Mow, Basil fried rice, and our new favorite, their noodle soup. The broth is super flavorful and warms the body. And we always get their delicious Thai tea to go for the road. A must try spot!
One of the most consistent restaurants in Columbia. Been coming here over ten years and it’s been a family favorite for just as long. Portions are never stingy, food is fresh, shrimp is huge. I love their curries, they have great salads and the BEST wings in town. If you don’t already know about Thai food, though, be forewarned: spicy means SPICY.
I love getting Thai food whenever I visit new places so I've had quite a variety. I've only eaten at Thailand once and got the Pad Kee Mao and thought it was very bland (which you don't expect with such a spicy dish) and my friend felt the same way. They also charge extra for chili paste which was much needed to give it some oomph. I can't compare it to other places in Columbia, but three Thai in Charlotte is much better. It was ready quickly though with decent portions.
Been looking for a true authentic Thai restaurant. Finally we found it. Amazing food. Cute family run restaurant. Highly recommend the Bangkok Duck!!!
Our go to take out place!
The staff is kind and welcoming. The food is delicious lots of vegetarian options. All the fried rice is excellent.
Best Thai food I've ever had. Great service and good prices. You can't beat their yellow curry, it's to die for!
Wonderful people here who care about their patrons. ♥️
Most awesome food most awesome environment most awesome service
Amazing Thai food. The woman running the shop was very nice.
Every time I eat here I feel the food is made with authenticity and love! It’s so delicious and warming. The fall season is here so you can bet I will be trying every curry they have!
One of the best Currys I've had in years!
Hard to imagine this place being any better. It's a wonderful place to sit and eat a delicious meal. There's a good reason they're so busy, but they make you feel welcome
Very good and authentic food
Wonderful spot that I have been coming to for many years. Food is always great, and they have quick, friendly service.
We are always on the hunt for good authentic Asian food. This is not it. The food tasted frozen and then reheated in a microwave. The duck had that microwave rubber flavor. This is just not good
Food was so good!! I got the Pad See Ew and it was SO good!! Don’t ever change the recipe! It tastes exactly like what I remember getting from my favorite restaurant as a kid!! 10/10 would recommend this place!
Always delicious and welcoming. Best green curry in town.
Very nice
Idk who’s in the back cooking. But they hate their job, their boss and all of us. Idk what I was served but it wasn’t good and wouldn’t pass an inspection’s test. Several ingredients were spoiled.
Great food, pretty and clean.
Excellent !
Goot
My fave little hole in the wall Thai restaurant on the St Andrews/ Irmo side of town. Soups are great and Laab is killer!
I never leave reviews. This food was so disappointing that I had to leave a review . This is by far not authentic Thai food. This is a Chinese restaurant that aims to cook Thai food but greatly misses the mark . The drunken noodles meal was filled with vegetables more than noodles and meat and the food had no flavor . Authentic Thai drunken noodles has very little vegetables and they do not use the vegetables that were used in this meal !The Thai iced was full of ice in drink . I guess to save themselves from giving drink they put more ice . The spring rolls were so crisp to almost burnt. Please save yourself money and time and get REAL THAI food unless you are aiming for Chinese food and even Chinese tastes better . When you eat authentic Thai you will spot the difference ! Beware !
Second time being here and as the first, friendly, clean and amazing food!
Called on a whim about mango sticky rice and was pleasantly surprised when I found that they have it, it's just not on the menu ! I was not disappointed.
Panang Curry was amazing. Typical hole in the wall restaurant. Very good food. Good service.
Having lived in Asia, I can confidently note this is the best Thai food in the area! Here you will find healthy portion sizes loaded with authentic flavors and best enjoyed over a shared pot of jasmine tea with lovely company. Their coconut soup is a must try and will transport you directly to Bangkok.
Excellent food! Right around the corner from my house, and is a quick delicious dinner when I don't feel like making dinner.
Love the pineapple curry with chicken, fried pot stickers, and thai tea
Food was amazing and staff was friendly. Great place for super quick Thai food.
Update 1/27/23: Same great taste for the last 8 years. Consistency at its best. Still ordering the Pad Thai and the Eggplant. Insanely good 😁
First Review below: Awesome restaurant! Try ordering the Thai eggplant! It's heavenly. Also we use them for catering! So delicious and generous!
Love this place. Best green curry!!
Everyone loved their dishes! We had masamann, Pannag, and the kids ninja chicken. I’m looking forward to coming back soon. It’s ranked my number 1 restaurant in the area, so far.
Fast service and awesome food
Thai Basil Rice is really good. I love the papaya salad - extra spicy!
Went in the other day to have a nice lunch and immediately left because the heater was either not on or not working. It was literally thirty degrees outside, and just as cold inside. That’s unacceptable.
Delicious food nice staff
Small place, food was okay. Would rather have Mai Thai but it’s decent when in the area.
The Thai Red Curry was the best I have had. I also really liked the decor.
Reminds me of home! I have so missed Thai food since moving from Oakland. The tofu pad Thai is wonderful with plenty of egg and peanuts. Also, the coconut sweet rice with mango warms you from the inside out! Truly yummy food. It will make you happy.
The service is always friendly, and the food is always fantastic! I love the tofu Pad Thai.
Interesting food
My dad went on a suggestion from my sister in law last week and said we HAVE to go! Wow, it was delicious. The woman who seemed to run it all was intuitive and made the experience that much better. We were given a sample of a soup that was absolutely delicious. We had the dumplings and fried tofu as starters then the pad-se-ew with shrimp and Lakhna with chicken. Had to stop eating because we were so full but saved room for the donuts with condensed milk. If you like authentic Thai cuisine this is the place you must try!
Best Thai lunch in SC
So good!
Don’t waste your time
Went and the doors were locked.
Looked at me stupid like if I wasn’t there.
Yeah, by all means don’t open the doors.
When I showed at the time posted that they were open. Trash service.
Best Authentic Thai is town!!
Good food. Need to hire more staff.
Authentic, flavorful food and great service. The yellow curry is some of the best I have tasted!
Ver friendly staff
So good! Staff was extremely friendly, food came out quickly, and was very fresh and tasty. We got 2 yellow curry and 1 red curry and it was perfect. Just enough spice to warm you up. We will absolutely be back. Prices were very reasonable.
Very delicious!!!
The best Thai food I've had in SC. You can tell the chef cook like they would cook for themselves. It is authentic and home style. Their food aren't made to cater to America's taste. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. Being from Boston where the food is so diverse, I'm so glad to discovered this gem in the middle of nowhere.
I'm always on the lookout for good Thai food whenever I travel and I found a gem today. Their Chicken Pad Thai was on point and their spring rolls in sweet chili sauce were from scratch. The service was fast and the food was excellent! I would definitely recommend and next time I'm in Charleston, I'll absolutely be back!
Went here about 6-7 months ago. I ordered Tom Kha soup and spring rolls at the time.
Today was my first time going back and the spring rolls are obviously store-bought frozen spring rolls. Completely inedible- didn't come with lettuce either, just some packets of sweet sauce.
The soup was still good, wings were alright, but those spring rolls were absolutely awful- they are better off not offering them than knowingly serving them. I imagine that the tanking economy has much to do with this.
Wouldn't go back, unfortunately.
Great service! Friendly, quick and the food was excellent!
What a delightful place! Food was excellent - fresh and authentic. Service was fast and super friendly. Stop here to not only satisfy your craving for Thai food, but also to brighten your day!
Great food!
I was hungry less than 2 hours later
Excellent food and service. Great green curry
Hidden gem in my local area.
Good food
Great food and fast. Loved the duck and spring rolls
I just love this place. Small and cozy. Great service and menu.
Food is awsome and authentic.......one of our regs now
Delicious food! I love the Thai Pineapple Curry and the fried dumplings! One of my favorite places to eat!
Some of the best Asian food in the area!
This place has amazing, fresh food! My daughter and I go here all the time.
Had spring rolls and Tom Yum Seafood soup. It was better when I had it over a year ago. The server wore a mask and stood quite a distance from our table, making it feel very impersonal and less of a dining in experience. There was also a sign on the front door stating that a mask was required for entrance. Appreciate the cleanliness but don't feel we should feel ostracized for not wearing a mask when dining.
Great Thai food!! Typhoon chicken and veggies so delicious!! Chicken egg rolls are NOT recommended. Best chick egg rolls go to Dukes Thai!!
Only so so. Used to be better
Nom! Try the curry’s! Crazy delicious
It is not authentic thai food.
Made in US for Americans just looks like thai.
Very sad because i comes for memories about Thailand
So, you're looking for Thai food in Columbia. You've come across this restaurant, "is it good enough?", you wonder. Let me tell you, this is the best Thai food, not only in town, but I would say the state. The Pad Thai here is phenomenal. It's got fantastic flavor and it also has a nice kick to it.
The restaurant itself is cute and I love dining in. The wait staff is very quick and efficient. I usually don't wait long for my food.
If you're looking for Thai food, look no further. Thailand is the best place and the most authentic, you won't regret it.
The wonton soup was delicious. My entree was very bland even with the shrimp in it. Service was very good. Their prices are ridiculously high. My tab was over $21 but still left a tip due to the service. I may try dining here again but no time soon. I gave 2 stars due to the taste of the food and the prices.
Legit. Would go again and reccomend.
Great service n food is good
The food here is always fresh and delicious and very affordable. I’ve been able to come for lunch with no long wait and the sever is nice and accommodating. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
Very good food and warm and friendly staff. I couldn't finish my food, and 6was very hungry. Not a big restaurant, probably about 10 tables. I was treated to meal and they ordered before I looked at the menu, so I don't know about prices. I will go back, definitely.
