Our menu is full of bright, bold flavors from Southeast Asia that everyone can enjoy. Explore new dishes or taste familiar ones.
Everything about my dining experience here was spectacular. The food was absolutely amazing (the crab Rangoon was so delicious that we ended up ordering multiple rounds of it) and the atmosphere was so cool. Our server, Lindsay, provided us with amazing service and I would absolutely recommend asking for her during your visit! Next time I am in the area, I will totally be back here!
My mom, sister and I came out for dinner at CO after they reopened and from drinks, dinner, dessert and service, everything was wonderful. Sam is an extraordinary server and really look forward to coming there again! Their new mango sticky rice martini tastes like heaven and is a wonderful dessert drink after dinner.
Wow I’ve been waiting for this location to open back up and the wait was so worth it. I’ve visited other Co locations but the one on King St. has excellent service and I’m ready to try every dish on the menu! Kamryn my waitress was so attentive and made the room brighter with her smile. If you get her as your waitress you are lucky to have the best experience. Get the tuna tacos and Hanoi noodles, you will not be disappointed!
Went to CO last night with a friend, first time back since their reopening! The atmosphere was very warm and inviting, and we had a great experience. Food was great and our bartender Rachel was fantastic, the jalapeño guava margarita was top notch! Definitely check this place out.
Love the new remodel
I have special needs on my ability to speak confidently and loud enough for my waitress to hear me due my vocal tempo syndrome. My waitress, Kamryn ,definitely was kind enough to be patient with me and help guide me through the menu. And she was a very good listener. I’ll be back soon and hopefully louder After my therapy. Thanks for great customer service

Excellent culinary experience shaped by curry shrimp, paired with the delicious Blackberry Bourbon and topped with outstanding service by Kamryn. I’d highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are lucky enough to have Kamryn as your server
Food was delightful as always! Ube cheesecake is the BEST!! Kam was our server and she was PHENOMENAL, very attentive and very on top of everything (there were 6 of us and she really kept up with all the orders!)
We stopped in here for drinks and Kamryn (bartender) made the experience an absolute delight!! She was very attentive and helpful. We’ll definitely be stopping in here every chance we get!
Co has always been one of my favorite spots in Charleston! I’m gluten free and always appreciated the gluten free options! Tonight Kamryn and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate and did so in the kindest way. Gluten free friends, this is your spot!
We loved our experience at CO. Renovation was amazing, food fantastic and our waiter kamryn was super friendly and attentive! We will be be back for sure and hope to get her as our waiter. Thanks for a great experience!
Rachel is an amazing bartender. We have been waiting for CO to reopen for nearly a year. The food is on point like it's 2014.
Amazing food! Our server Camryn was awesome! She was helpful and very personable.

So thankful you guys are back open!!!!! The remodel was refreshing and created a great atmosphere to have a date night with great drinks, food and service! Kamryn very attentive with an infectious smile and excellent service! We will be back and we will be regulars!!!! Thank you!!!!
This place was amazing!! I’m so happy it finally opened back up!! Kamryn was my server and she was just phenomenal! Great personality and she was very attentive! 10/10 will be going back for amazing food and great service thanks to Kamryn!
Great food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Kamryn did an amazing job, marking it a wonderful night out. We will definitely be going back.
We stopped in here for drinks and Kamryn (bartender) made the experience an absolute delight!! She was very attentive and helpful. We’ll definitely be stopping in here every chance we get!
CO is our go to spot in Charleston for a good bite. all the dishes are hits, we especially like all the “small dishes”, the tempura bowl, the drunken noodles, and the korean beef bowl. the setting is cozy (with a great playlist rolling at all times) and all the servers are super friendly. If you have the pleasure to have Kamryn as your server, you’ll be in for a good time, she’s so sweet and kind! You can’t go wrong here, lots of affordable options for the DT area.
So glad CO has reopened! The food is incredible, especially the chicken curry laksa and spicy crab rangoons! You'll want more crab rangoons....promise! Rachel, our bartender/server, was the best!
It was so good! I had the Pad Thai with chicken, was so delicious, and I had Sam as a server, she gave us a really great setvice., thanks for all your attention Sam.

The bulgogi tacos tasted like soap or lawn grass with the rice bowls having uncooked dry rice and a sneeze of sauce.
Service people are chill tho.

Horrible wait and then they only had 1 option. Will not be choosing this again.
We were a large walk in party who they happily accommodated. And having two in the party with a dairy allergy, we're happy enough to answer ALL the questions asked about food preparation and ingredients. There was not a dish ordered that wasn't devoured!
The rice is stale and flavorless and the food is very salty, not flavorful. Raw onions in the curry were not enjoyable either, bad chicken as well. Bahn mi was edible but so salty, the curry was somewhat inedible.
Good overall. Great service, great food, however, the restaurant smelled moldy and the bathroom was not very clean, and, somewhat pricey.
Heres the thing, Taste is great however they are serving precooked food i.e. noodles, rice paper. So it’s stale and noodles are broken up or hard. It’s not fresh. Stop doing this and your restaurant will succeed. Won’t be back.
stinks
The food was phenomenal and our waitress, Lily was AMAZING! 10/10 would recommend!
Their food is not consistent. May be they change their chef. Server kind of rude or somehow in bad mood, never come back. Disappointed
My 4yo said her meal (kids dumplings) was “better than pizza” I think that speaks for itself!
We have been going to Co since 2018 and have probably been 15 or so times - dine-in, take-out, and delivery. Due to various factors that had nothing to do with Co, this was actually our first time ordering there in maybe the last year or so. Two major issues:
1) Of the 15 or so times I've had Co, I've ordered the Pad Thai every single time. Unfortunately, they must have changed their recipe since I last ordered, and it's NOT GOOD. Both my wife and I ordered it, and while I did finish mine, she couldn't make it past a few bites and threw the rest out.
Their Pad Thai has always been variable - no two times were ever the same (usually it was the amount of sauce that changed) but it was always somewhere between good or great. Not this time - the sauce seemed totally different than before. Totally not worth spending $19.50 per order on subpar Pad Thai.
2) We did a pickup order and they're now charging an 8% "togo fee" - why?? I understand costs have gone up, but please don't make me feel like you're nickel and diming me by adding these fees to an order that I'm picking up. What extra cost does Co encounter for pickup orders? The cost of the plastic bag and cardboard box the food goes into? I'm sure you give those to dine-in customers for their leftovers. If you can't stay profitable with your current prices, then raise the per item price, don't tack on backend fees.
In total we spent $46.79 for two orders of Pad Thai that we picked up - that's it. One that was barely eaten before being thrown out (my wife's). Left me very frustrated.
Consistently good food
As soon as we entered we were hit with the smell of sewage. Who wants to smell that at a restaurant? We turned around and left! Was planning to use gift cards but that is not happening.
If a restaurant doesn’t care enough to address that issue what does that tell you about the rest of the place?
So delicious. The drinks are great and the food is good. Nice staff too.
Fantastic Ramen! Will come back for it for sure.
It smelled dank and didn't seem clean at the bar. I ignored that and ordered food from the happy hour menu and regular menu - the dumplings and gyoza were both undercooked with tough spots in the dough, and the summer rolls and tuna taco were gritty, presumably from unwashed herbs in them. I had a "coconut water" but didn't like the flavor and don't think it was the water from a coconut. Btw I used to like this place a lot.
Great food, staff, and drinks! Will go again next time I'm in Charleston!
I come to co all the time because I absolutely love the food here and the service is typically great. Unfortunately, tonight I found myself half of a bug into dinner. You read that correct. As I was eating my dinner, I found the remaining half of a bug. I went to the bathroom sick and vomiting. My group notified the server who was so kind who then notified the ‘’manager’ who was the bartender. She came up and offered zero apology and expected me to pay for the half eaten. I am so disappointed because of the lack of caring and response that I got.
Excellent
I ordered green papaya salad! Very disspointed as its not a papaya salad Its cabbage and carrots with a little bit of peanuts.. the taste isn't there either! The lady said theres papaya on it? I ordered lots of papaya salad and sorry to say this is the worst one!
Definitely a place to go if your looking for a Thai noodle fix. I got the Pad Thai and the drunken noodle. They use a different variation of the drunken noodle that I'm used to it was a thin skinny flat noodle and I'm used to the fat wide flat noodle but it was definitely good. I liked the drunken noodle over pad Thai. Pork buns were good as well.
I have been going to CO for years. And I'm sad to say that though I still love the food and the staff is always friendly, the cleanliness has gone downhill. I had to ask to have the plates that were already at the table cleaned as they were covered in fingerprints and what looked like grease. And it's already hot outside. I felt like i was sitting in an oven upstairs. I hope they can get back to what they used to be in regards to cleanliness and maybe get the AC working? I prefer not to have sweat rolling down my back when I'm eating Pho. But again. Food is still delicious. I just hope they can get back on par with the cleanliness.
We arrived at Co at 8pm for a quick bite before going to see a movie. As listed, they close at 9 Sun-Thurs. When my boyfriend and I were about to walk in, they decided to hang a sign up that said “Closing at 7:30” and locked the door in our face. Will not be returning, so sad because this is one of my favorite restaurants downtown. Oh well.
We came here on the recommendation of several people that this place was great. When you first walk in the bar smells a bit gross, but we were seated upstairs so we didn’t have to really deal with the smell. My one complaint about this place was the fact that they were fruit flies the entire time we were dining, and we kept having to swat at them. The food however was delicious. We tried several dishes like the pork and ginger gyoza, edamame spring rolls, the edamame dumplings, the papaya salad, curry Laksa, and the drunken Thai noodles. My favorite dish was the curry laksa. It was so delicious and flavorful. If you like your dishes spicy, ask for the Singapore hot sauce which is a house made hot sauce.
The place is very tiny but it was clean. We ordered the pho and they had some options but each option offered one meat choice only. The real traditional pho has beef slices, meatballs, etc. It’s always disappointing when it’s listed as pho but it’s really not pho. The broth was very light in flavor. They served it with some old, going-bad basil leaves and lime wedges because it was all brown. We also ordered the pork belly buns and the meat was super dry, overcooked and the buns were also very dry. I wanted to enjoy our meal but overall very disappointed.
I’ve been to CO many times and it never disappoints with the fresh flavorful food. Helpful staff. Right off King street, it is hard to miss. Bar is downstairs at street level and most dining seating is upstairs. Highly recommend. Check out their menu.
We sat at the bar for dinner. The bartender was supposed to be the manager, but spent time playing on her phone and talking to her friends and ignoring customers. Food quality is down from prior times. We won't go back.
Servers were fine, but the food and cleanliness was not acceptable. The spring rolls were terrible and the ramen made my wife ill. We went around 11:30 am when they just opened. The bathrooms were in a terrible condition. The bathrooms had not been cleaned and they reeked. Please correct this matter so you do not make your customers sick.
The summer rolls were 3.5/10. Super cold. Feel like they were sitting in the fridge for a couple days. Vietnamese ramen was a little better. One recommendation for the chef: make sure to serve super thin onions as possible. The one I was served has chunks of onions in it and it tasted really strong with the broth. As a Vietnamese chef, I never ever serve a big chunk of onions in our ramen or Pho in my 30 years making Pho.
The server was not friendly. Maybe because we came “too early” at 11:30 when they open at 11.
Co wins again! Our server, Caleb, was fantastic and the food was top notch!
What happened to the bright orange Singapore sauce? Why is the Vietnamese ramen not nearly as good at it used to be? I'm so disappointed. Service was lovely and professional as always though.
My "go to" place in Charleston.... love the variety of dishes and the fun cocktails ... I tend to hit the Curry Laksa with chicken and shrimp.... it a large portion and very satisfying... wonderful food and drinks
This restaurant and the chief were amazing! They were super accommodating and really made our night special! 10/10 would recommend, friendly staff and a great vibe. Thank you so much for a great evening for my family and I!
The best summer rolls ever! Such a balanced flavor of meat with mint, cilantro, garlic, and sauces. My 2 year old and I also enjoyed the pork and ginger gyoza. Will certainly come back again!
We ate at this place as a quick stop for an early dinner and am sad to say we found the food barely edible. We had tofu spring rolls (which were the best part of the meal) then a Korean beef bowl that seemed devoid of any of the sauces mentioned + beef was tough with big pieces of gristle. The drunken noodles had a really poorly flavored sauce w undercooked veggies and rubbery chicken. Overall our most disappointing meal we’ve had in Charleston. I hardly ever waste food but we both left about 3/4 of our entrees uneaten. Giving a couple starts bc the staff seemed friendly. Recognizing that this is more of a causal/bar-type place - the food was still just not decent for that type of setting.
Came here with a group of friends last week, the service started out good. Then we were told they were out of the iced lychee tea which only affected a few orders. Around 3 minutes later the server came to tell us they were out of tofu which sucked because almost all of us were vegetarian. It was around 8:30 and we tried to find other places to dine but were told by many places that their kitchens were closing soon. We decided to stay and try to make the most of the night, right as we were about to order main dishes, the waitress came to tell us they were out of RICE! How do you run out of rice as a Thai restaurant?? We ordered noodle dishes and everything was decent until one of the dishes came out with a raw/ under-cooked sunny side up egg. We spoke to a manager about it and instead of offering a solution she asked what we think they should do to help. They comped the price of the egg not even the entire dish and discounted the dish by 25%. Anyone who has ever worked in customer service knows that the manger should always offer a solution not the other way around. After receiving our bill we still left a 10% tip and on our way out we were shoo'ed by the waitress for not tipping enough. Terrible experience overall.
Really yummy vegetarian dishes here! We thoroughly enjoyed the Thai fusion dishes. The staff was very nice as well!
Delicious! Mango Summer Spring Rolls, Dumplings, many other appetizers. All so good.
I was looking all over the lowcountry for good pho and found it here. Delicious food and the bartender was great. 10 out of 10 will visit again.
Great experience, but I'm not sure I can eat curry ever again unless it's here. Even as it lost it's temperature it would still make you surprised how every spoonful tastes as amazing as the very first.
One of the most special meals of my life! I came to celebrate my 30th birthday and enjoyed
Always love the food at Cos and our server was so sweet.
At our recent experience here, we ordered Mango Spring rolls off of the happy hour menu. Item didn’t have a description, and no flame or anything to indicate heat… well when we got the spring rolls and I bit into it, my mouth was ON FIRE. There were giant hunks of jalapeño while the other veggies were Julianne chopped. My suggestion would be to warn people about the heat and maybe chop the spicy pepper a bit smaller.
We ordered take out and the experience was disappointing. One item we ordered was the Vietnamese salad with seared salmon. We were given a salad with just greens- no salmon or dressing or anything else. Just slaw greens. We tried calling the restaurant to get a refund for the food we didn’t get and couldn’t get through to anyone! We tried calling numerous times- no one picked up. It’s like they turned the ringer off. The other food items were ok, but due to the terrible customer service, we will not return.
Food was delicious. I definitely found another Pho spot
Our server was really friendly, paid attention to my sister's nut allergy and double checked with the chef that the food was safe for her. The noodles and rice were both very good. Felt full and satisfied. Would come again
The Korean rice is only half cooked; the pho is so-so. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Hands down best restaurant on king street! I could not believe the quality of the handmade dumplings and pho. My mom said it was the best pad Thai she’s ever had. Scott countryman is the best chef in Charleston and their service was top notch. I treated my parents and kids to a Christmas dinner here and it was such a fantastic experience. It’s always so cool to see the chef greet patrons - you can tell he’s really invested in creating an experience in addition to the best food. The cost is very affordable too - a bottle of Prosecco was only $28! We will definitely be back.
Went in for a bite around 3pm during a weekday, seated ourselves and a pleasant young lady took care of us in a timely manner. This is where the pleasant experience ends. The food is absolutely the worst I've had. I've traveled to more than 10 countries and every major city in the USA on the coasts and the Midwest. We ordered spicy Udon noodles and green curry both with tofu. The tofu was over fried and shriveled, the rice was still undercooked and nearly crispy and they use fettuccine noodles instead of udon noodles. This place should not ever use the word Asian in their name or description. The "curry" was watery and should have been called soup instead and listed under the soup category. Our waitress was very pleasant and listened to our concerns and offered to have it remade but we decided to have it removed from our bill. Definitely won't be coming back and by far the worst food we've had in Charleston and probably in a long time anywhere. Eat at your own risk but it is not Asian food or fusion. Might pass for 3am drunken grub at best.
Sat at bar. Sign at stairs says seat yourself, however a waiter stopped my family from going upstairs saying it’s closed (but I continued to see others walk in and go right upstairs - I assumed private party). There were no other seats so the waiter then looked around and said “I guess we have a wait then.”
Took my son to the restroom and came back. Sat at the bar. Food was backed up around 30-50 minutes. My son wasn’t given any water. We received no water refills. No utensils. Had to ask for everything more than once. Ended up leaving my sons food because I’d ask for a box that never showed up. Service overall terrible for mediocre food. Don’t recommend.
Came in tonight, they were out of almost everything on the menu. I ordered ramen, it was cold so I was very apologetic to the waiter and asked if they could heat it up a bit, which I’ve never sent back food in my life. It came back spilt all over the plate with the waiter apologizing that the chef was angry about my request. At this point I then just felt embarrassed since it’s never something I do, but only asked because it genuinely was cold. I ended up just getting the check and going somewhere else. The place was also very dirty but the waiters and waitresses seemed to be trying their best. Coming from the industry myself, seems like whoever is running the kitchen is treating the front of house staff very poorly, sending out mediocre food, and doesn’t know how to place wholesale orders for his kitchen and then blames it on everyone else.
This place is definitely not worth the price. We ordered the Com Chien with tofu, the Five Spice Pork Belly Bahn Mi, and the Spicy Crab Rangoon. First, it's almost $7 for the rangoons and you get 4. They were just okay, you can get better rangoons from Hot Mustard down the street for $7 and you get 8 and they're better honestly. Second, we got this bahn mi which we normally really like from other places around Charleston. This one was the five spice pork belly and they gave us the tiniest and driest piece of meat they had in stock. (Picture attached) The Com Chien was inedible, it was so salty and normally we don't mind salt but it was like you were drowning at the beach and you kept inhaling the salt water and it was just really bad. Altogether it came out to around $40-ish and it sucked. Please go somewhere better, like Bon Bahn Mi on Spring St.
Have been coming here for 3 years. At first this place was amazing. Slowly over time it has become more bland and dirty. The store needs a face lift and be cleaned really bad. The food is mediocre and very unbalanced now which is disappointing.
Ordered a Pad Thai and enjoyed the meal. There was plenty left to take home.
Server was pleasant and the atmosphere as well.
Great that restaurants do not use styrofoam containers anymore, instead, paper ones.
A couple of great options here for vegans, including the spicy udon noodles with very nicely prepared tofu. Highly recommended!
I’ve been here twice, dining alone with a good book. I sat at the bar the first time and upstairs the second, receiving impeccable service both times. As someone who grew up spoiled with her Viet mom’s cooking, trust me when I say the food here is to die for. I simply cannot get enough of their Beef and Kimchi Dumplings - it’s a must. Their spicy pho broth hits every spot, worth every painfully delicious bite. Great music too!
They had water coming in from a heavy rain, so they called me out to fix it. So I went out there the next morning and fixed it for them, tried to receive payment and kept getting told to talk to someone else about that. Never got paid for that job. I will never go to this restaurant.
Delightful place; especially enjoyed the happy hour bites and what an amazing salad + shrimp. Heather was an excellent server and I loved when we asked if something was spicy, she answered honestly, “Its alarmingly spicy.” So we ordered something else, which turned out to be superbly delicious and unalarming.
Never been to a Vietnamese restaurant before. Food, service, atmosphere, and people were great.
A delightfully unique experience that transports you away from the humdrum of the downtown Charleston standbys. Their happy hour cannot be beat. We ate there twice and didn't have anything that wasn't amazing.
Not a very large restaurant, so if you are going with a group you might want to call ahead. When you walk in there is a bar and there are a couple of tables. There is also a second story with seating as well. The food was good but it was a bit pricey. The dumplings were fresh and delicious but you only get four for six and a half dollars. Enjoyed my experience, but would probably try a different place in the area before I ate here again.
I took my mom here today for her first pho experience and she loved it. The kimchi dumplings and crab rangoon were amazing as well as the main course. Our waiter Collin was personable and made the experience fun for both of us. We’re visiting from Indiana but if we lived in Charleston we would probably come here every week
We have been there on our trip through charleston. We ordered the green curry which was too spicy for us personally. If you like spicy food than it should be ok. For me the price was too high and the size of the dish was too small. But the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was good.
We were very excited to try this place after seeing good reviews but extremely disappointed after our first experience.
Customer service was rude, we’re order water to drink waitress came with three dirty glasses one still had lip stick prints on it the other had something on it. We had been waiting more than an hour for the foods. We ordered Bun Xao and Korean rice bowl and both were terrible, the spring rolls is terrible smell turned bad and uncooked at all.
So disappointing. Very poor service. Bland food, overall horrible experience. Better options out there.
SALTY! SALTY! SALTY! This is pretty much everything we had. Dumpling Appetizer was undercooked. Pork belly bun was dry ( bun is dense ), Korean rice bowl had regular and very Salty beef ( DID NOT HAVE SHORT RIB AS DESCRIBED) and rice was mushy and overcooked, drunken Thai noodles very Salty and INEDIBLE, fried rice Salty and INEDIBLE, Korean Short rib banh mi also very Salty. Overall, very SALTY and OVERPRICED!!!
I’m sorry but I have to give this 1 star; my whole group didn’t even finish their food because we just couldn’t:
•the dumplings were undercooked
•the noodle dishes and meat were so salty
-we had it remade and it was still way too salty
•the rice was mushy meaning it either had too much water or it was just way over cooked; you can see from the picture that I could literally draw in it (keep in mind this was jasmine rice not sticky rice)
•the meat appeared to be normal beef, not Korean short rib (or at least it was definitely not done right)
I’m Asian and I absolutely love Korean food, but this was just not authentic; I get that it’s a fusion but it wasn’t even cooked right in the first place. I’ve eaten at plenty of other Korean, Viet, and more places (Asian owned or other, fusion or not) and I’ve never had food so poorly made (again sorry). Nobody bothered to ask us why we didn’t even finish our food either, and when we asked for it to be remade (which at least the waitress offered), no supervisor, chef, or manager came to ask why. Additionally, they did not offer any compensation whatsoever for the fact that we barely touched our food (minus my drawing lol); it’s basic etiquette to at least maybe give some small compensation (a make-up appetizer or a few dollars back), but they just did not do anything. Overall, this is why I had to give 1 star; again, sincerely sorry but they just need to be better about all this. Too overpriced for the quality of the food we received.
Our server was nice but our food was super salty. We requested less salt when the food first came out and yet still salty. We had 8 people in our party and everyone's entree was heavy seasoning, salty and over cooked. Very disappointed. Left hungry..
Management need to check on their chefs
I ordered the gluten free fried rice and tofu spring rolls with no onions or cilantro today for take out and they messed up the whole order but today I talked to the manager and he was so kind and understanding and gave me a refund and remade my order Co goes above and beyond as always!
The food was very good. Atmosphere and service were good. We were a party of two and shared a communal table with a party of four... but there was more space between us than there sometimes is between tables in restaurants so that was fine. My only issue was the menu. QR code. It worked fine on my husband's phone, but all I got was about 30 copies of the poke bowl page so we had to share a menu and that was frustrating.
What more can I say about CO that all of their adoring customers haven't already said? This intimately lit Korean eatery May seem small, but it's actually the perfect size for an amazing evening of food and fun. Because of the smaller space and closer proximity for seating, it stimulates conversation and closeness. The exquisite dishes are worth coming back for, and the portion sizes are fit for a King. My husband almost always finishes his plate, here he asks to box up the leftovers every time! I absolutely adore their Hanoi noodles. The crab Rangoon and curry laksa are starter dishes that make you so excited for what's to come. The staff can also provide spot on recommendations for cocktails and sake. Hats off to the bartenders for knowing how to craft a libation. The final aspect of this place that I love is the speed of service. Even though they can be breathtakingly busy they always make time for you and you don't wait an agonizingly long time for the plates to arrive. We love this place!
This restaurant has some of the worst service I have consistently experienced. They refuse to answer the phones or ever read any of the instructions on their food when you order online. They always get the orders wrong and it’s absolutely impossible to try and get any kind of service of take out and they are also just rude when you pick up which is a stark difference to their sit down service which is reasonable. But the incompetence is almost unbelievable and it makes me so sad because I love the food and I want to give a good review.
So glad we stopped by this place for amazing thai food. We were a bunch of vegetarians and the summer rolls, dumplings, korean bowl and the drunken noodles were just what we needed before we could end our trip. Will definitely come back everytime we visit
Order papaya salad and the whole plate filled with 95% cabbage and carrots and you can’t even taste the papaya
Stopped by for lunch and it was just OK. Service was good but food could definitely use some taste. Ordered the papaya salad and there was only a little papaya with the rest just loaded with cabbage. Gyoza tasted somewhat like it was frozen. The udon noodle was good though the chicken was dry.
Wonderful Food! We sat at the bar..great service
Not a fan of anything i ordered. My kimchi was sweet and not in a good way :/ there was so much mint in my summer rolls i thought i had literally eaten my tube of toothpaste. My pho was the only decent item but my noodles were hard and crunchy even after putting them into my broth. $40 order just to be sad and hungry because i couldnt eat most of it. My service at the very least was great and fast. Just wish the food was actually good.
One of my most favorite places to visit, love their Pho, Vietnamese Ramen, Pork Belly Buns, and Gyoza!!!
great food but gave me food poisoning
The entree' I wanted they were out so I ordered the drunken thai and didn't like it as much. It appeared burned. The manager charged us half off for my meal.
Service was pathetic…we had to literally ask for plates and water. Food was given after an hour. This place sucks. I will not recommend anyone to go there if you are hungry.
Yummy food!!
Great!
CO is the answer to the question "what would happen if Applebees tried to open a Vietnamese restaurant?" Entrees are amp'd up with so much salt and sauce that many dishes tastes the same. No subtlety here. The portions are ridiculously large. The bartender was amazing, though. Stop by here for a drink but don't waste a dime on the food.
The food was incredible. They need to work on the service, but the food made up for it.
It was ok. Service wasn't great, they brought our all our food at once so there wasn't enough room on the table. It's really loud. The food was ok. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 3 is that the price was high for mediocre service.
Food was excellent!!! Service even better!!
Your options for pho in Charleston are very low. CO is my #2 out of the 3 for best pho. Please don’t waste your time at the one in Mt Pleasant (their pho tastes like water) We had great service and their happy hour menu was so nice. Thanks for a great time and good food.
I really enjoyed the food and drink here. Service was a little slow, but it was really busy and I am sure they're short staffed like everyone else.
I had the edamame dumplings and the chicken pad Thai. Awesome. Our server (despite being overworked) was amazing. Will definitely be returning.
Sad to say that this place was disappointing.
I did not enjoy the food. The lemongrass tofu banh mi was soggy, the tofu was a very soft silken tofu (terrible choice for a sandwich, should have chosen an extra firm tofu instead), the vegetables inside the sandwich did not taste fresh. The waiter recommended the crispy edamame spring rolls and while these were well fried, the mixed veggie flavor had a a terrible musty flavor and and the texture was quite disappointing.
The Vietnamese Ramen was unfortunate bland, though the pork belly was well done, the broth itself didn't really differentiate itself enough from a pho broth.
I’ve been here twice so far! Once for lunch and once for happy hour. Vietnamese ramen is soooo good (but can be a little too salty), the gyoza was also delicious. The guava mimosa was so refreshing. And when I went for happy hour, I had a super yummy drink called blackberry bourbon fizz (not pictured). I plan to visit again!
I haven't been to a restaurant time and time again like Co. Always have an awesome time with great portion sizes for the money and a superb happy hour. Service can lag but the servers and bartenders are gems.
We stopped in for a quick lunch. Delicious and affordable. Definitely hitting over its price level.
Our first lunch in Charleston. As my children were entering the restaurant through one door the bartender (I later saw) forced himself past them through the same door and did not excuse himself or apologize. I asked my children if they want to leave as that was incredibly rude, however they declined because they were hot and hungry. The Korean rice bowls we ordered were tasty but mine was not hot. My husband enjoyed his Banh Mi Lemongrass tofu. My daughter did not enjoy the fresh summer rolls- we all agreed too many peppers and cilantro. The waitress was attentive and friendly, she was running back and forth the entire time. It appeared short staffed which is understandable. Waitress appeared to be their “super employee”. The ladies bathroom was clean.
Wonderful Vietnamese cuisine!
I had the curry, it was good however the chicken was EXTREMELY Dry and the mint leaves were disgustingly brown,My son had the pad Thai and his chicken was dry also. The upstairs was super hot like the ac was not on. Not sure if I would dine in, perhaps pickup.
Ordered the Korean bowl. I was expecting it to be warm but the rice was room temperature and the edamame was cold. Good flavor, just wasn't cooked.
One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Charleston! Great menu options, everything I've tried has been amazing. Recently had the korean rice bowl; it was great! Service is always good and even when there is a wait it usually doesn't take long.
That was an amazing meal!
One of the best spicy Ramen foods you can ever eat… great food and good quality food - we were 6 of us and had a great time and enjoying the spicy curry along with our noodles and the bowl… only one thing that when I asked for some extra curry they charged us…. So if anything extra you ask it will be accounted for…
Food and service were fantastic
The food was decent enough, the ambience is good, the service was great and the people are good. Unfortunately the Pad Thai I had ordered was too tangy or sour… not a characteristic you want to have in Pad Thai… other than that the cocktails were great.
Been here before. Food is pretty good, service not so good. Tables were clean and wasn't too busy when we came in. Download menu didn't work with my phone, so not sure what was up with that. Menu was rather limited but with some variation. Experience was so-so. I'd recommend, if you like Thia food, but I wouldn't go out of my way.
Worst experience in my life. Order water to drink waiter came back with two dirty glasses one still had lip stick prints on it the other had food on it. The waiter was not surprised when we told him because he fixed the drinks. As we were leaving we saw all the dirty dishes piled up behind their station. I will never go there again.
The food is overcooked, overcharged, but not Vietnamese authentic. We will never come back to this restaurant again. So disappointed.
Delicious flavors, good service
Best crab rangoons!!
Drinks are out of this world
Food was very delicious!!!!
CO is a fantastic spot for a dinner out in downtown Charleston. They take a modern approach to Vietnamese food, and I've never had a bad meal there. Make sure you try the Vietnamese inspired ramen, it's terrific! That broth will warm you to your core.
Loved it!
Interesting atmosphere that was cool way back when it opened and still today. Great service. No resos so you're taking your chances, but we got in fine on a prime hours weekend. Uncommon twists on Asian staples. Some in our party could take it or leave it but they aren't writing this review.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food at CO.
We started off the meal with the pork gyoza and pork buns, which was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce that accompanied them was great. For our main entree, we ordered the Beef Pho and Pad Thai. I definitely recommend these 2.
CO is a fantastic restaurant and by far the best Asian restaurant on the Charleston Peninsula. Overall, this is definitely the place to go get your noodles, soup and dumplings!
I visited on a Thursday night and the food and service I received from the bartender was excellent
He made great food and beverage suggestions
The food was ok...no wow factor. The chicken wings barely had any sauce and the waiter never communicated my order back after giving specific instructions pertaining to my food.
One of the best Vietnamese fusion food. The vegetarian options and the meat and sea food items are amazing. I would avoid chicken options though. Don't have words to define the great taste of made from scatch sauces.
By far one of the best Asian food I have ever had. The flavors are amazing. Just enough spice to blend with all the other flavors.
Good Southeast Asian Take Out
Quick, correctly prepared and very good. We ordered Korean Short Rib Banh Mi, Pad Thai and Pho. The noodle dishes were excellent, while the banh mi was average.
The take out packaging was all paper, sturdy and easy to carry. We will go back.
Tasty pho but super slow
Huge portions and food was good. Service could use a little work. Had to beg for utensils and napkins or refills.
Fantastic menu for the Charleston Restaurant week! Love it!
Went there 1/8/22. We were a largish party (9).
Food - generally good, apps were tasty. Not sure if the owners are the same/affiliated with Co Savannah, but Sav is considerably better, taste/ portion size etc.
Chicken laksa (sp?) was the best dish we ordered. Very tasty. The green curry was a little watery. Short rib sandwich was good. Too many shredded carrots. Pork belly sandwich.. needed more seasoning. Bread was very good.
Biggest gripe was service. Certain things are a given, ie side plates, napkins, silverware, serving spoons etc.... At one point I made the fatal mistake of asking Brian/Bryan for something. The way he responded you'd think he was an owner and did not stoop to such a low level! He immediately deflected the request to one of the 'regular' waiters. Unnecessary. As a manager (assuming that's what his title is) you'd think he'd lead by example and have a all hands on deck attitude especially when it comes to customer service.
Our waiter/server was Kiran. He did great overall and did his best to take care of our group. Another server stepped in whenever necessary and was also v good.
Amazing curry and a fantastic n friendly bartender!
The drunks Thai noodles was too sweet, the cube chicken pieces were very bland . The Bun Xoa with shrimp was ok. Both were kinda pricey.
The food is very good.
Portions are smaller than expected.
Menu is not updated so prices are a mystery.
Online menu does not work for some reason.
Wait time for your food, even the appetizers, was unreasonable and not communicated to us in advance. We waited for an hour and twenty minutes for our spring rolls. It took another twenty minutes to serve our pho.
I have been waiting almost 2 hours for food when we did get it it was cold and had to send it back no one told us it was going to be that long I have had to feed the meter twice now and I still don't have my food very very poor service
Still a staple for me! Every trip to CHS
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
I haven’t had pho in awhile since moving down south, it had been horrible. After about 9 months I ordered takeout PHO like I did with the others and this PHO was PHONOMINAL. Wow, this reminded of the good stuff I used to eat. Will order again.
This place is like my go to when I wanna have pho. I would honestly prefer their regular pho rather than the spicy, but thats my preference. Overall their food is great and i love the vibe here. Its pricey for the food, but portioned out correctly so its worth the price.
