So I'll say first I had been eating at this restaurant before it was acquired by the new owners for years. The food was great and the owners and staff were friendly.

This is my first time back since they re-opened under new management and here is my take. The food, is still very good. The service is excellent, and the new owners could not have been any friendlier. I will throw a small caveat in this which is I ordered the drunken noodles and for years their "crispy chicken" drunken noodles was always a pan fried chicken (I know weird naming), but now it is a fried piece of chicken like katsu. This is not what I was expecting, but it is true to the name so if that's something you previously ordered, that's the only big change in my normal order. I will say its still very good and there are only pretty minor changes to everything else that are still very good. I think next time I'll get the drunken noodles with the crispy pork instead just because I'd prefer that to breaded chicken (again it was still good)

No way 1 person can finish this hot sweet mess and the bell peppers only make it that much sweeter. I would not order this again. Nothing about it reflected "Pad Thai" except the noodles. Also ordered mango with sweet sticky rice. Did not look appetizing at all but tasted pretty good. I would work on the presentation since everybody knows we eat with our eyes 1st. If I saw this at the restaurant I would not order it based on appearance alone. And $9 for this dessert is not cheap.

Unfortunately it looks like ownership changed and it’s not a positive change! This used to be my fave restaurant for many years, they were closed for sometime and recently reopened. I ordered my usual lo mein (dinner size) and it was 1/4 of the usual size! It was actually smaller than the lunch version! The biggest perk of this place was the portion sizes! They also seemed to change the chef/ recipes! It’s so unfortunate that these changes are so bad for the customers!

Did this place close? Best Thai in RI and no longer accepting online orders and no answer to phone calls. Help!

Food was good. Our server , Nicholas was fantastic! We ate outside, and Nicholas constantly checked on us, we never felt forgotten.

We came across this place one day after leaving the lake close by. We ordered Thai, the mango curry is delicious and the service is great! I've recommended them to so many people. We've been ordering from them atleast once a month for a good 2 yrs now. The only thing I wish would change is the fact that they aren't open until 4pm and we'd love to stop in for lunch sometimes.

Food is too bad .. I have ordered chicken wings , horrible in taste.wings are so old and dry. even Thai curry also horrible full of salt .

I like going here sometimes. Good prices and friendly people. I got the Thai noodle soup which is like PHO at other Thai restaurants and it is sooo delicious. They also have a good choice of beer on draft and lots of TVs.

Best Thai food I’ve tried in RI

Ordered the Thai special - $18. It was made with ground chicken?? I know things are getting expensive but damn! Also had a Mexican Mule and after 2 sips I was done. My stomach has not been right since. Tasted like something was spoiled, but it's just tequila and ginger beer, no? Very dissapointed.

Had the best experience today when ordering from them! Not only was the food loved by all of my coworkers but the woman who delivered our food was an absolute saint. I had made a little mess when taking the food out and she went out of her way to make sure it was all cleaned up. Definitely will order from them again for both the delicious food and the amazing customer service!! Thank you!

I think, if you’ve never had thai and they happen to be your first. They’re a good start. You get the idea of what thai food is like. But if you’ve had thai, and thai food in various states and countries. This would probably be one of the most poorly made and flavored thai you can have in rhode island. For the amount of money paid, you’d think their standards were as hugh as their prices. It’s almost like i can taste the annoyance and rush through as the dishes were being prepared. And for the noodles, the khao piek? Definitely not thai, because what happen to beansprouts, lime, etc? You don’t give any to your patrons? The fact that there’s thai in their title for a restaurant…really insults thai people. Really disappointed.

Update: food came late! Maybe they need to adjust their wait times! Semi-hot, taste good! Probably won’t order delivery again! Eat in is worth it!

Happened upon this comfortable spot after we got to the seafood market too late. Very hungry and too tired to think about cooking...still we were looking to eat something light and fresh. Out pops this cozy place on our way back home. It's a combo restaurant one a Pizza restaurant the other Thai both indoors with the option to sit outdoors on a comfortable garden like patio. A nice break from "parking lot dining" these days. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our Appetizer of Dim Sum and our dinner selections of Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken and a Beef and Vegetable dish in a dark sauce (I can't remember the name) served with sticky rice. Everything was delicious. The food was of the Asia Grille of Lincoln, RI style. A bit sweeter than authentic Thai, still the experience left us very satisfied with plenty left for both our next day lunches. Enjoy

Ordered delivery from them and almost two hours later still had no food. After multiple attempts to call the restaurant no one answered the phone. Will not be ordering again.

Tried placing an order at 8 pm on a tuesday night. Was put on hold for 17 minutes, called back & was put on hold for another 25 minutes. Never did get to place an order... They missed a $40 order from a new neighbor that frequently craves thai food.

Food arrived thirty minutes late, but what we got was awful. Ordered the meatballs because I wasn't too hungry and they arrived covered in peanuts. I can't eat peanuts. Thankfully my allergy isn't life threatening or this restaurant would have larger problems than this one star review. Thankfully I could snack on my friends crab flavored cheese rangoons (not a chunk of crab), the soup with a layer of garlic chunks floating across the top or the bizzare noodles that were made with lasagna noodles and Italian flavored sausage. My meatballs I was told had no flavor beyond heat and they were all filled with the weirdest "fatty" chunks, seriously so disgusting, like clear balls of rubber. I don't like to leave poor reviews but considering they fail to even list allergens on their menu, this should be knowledge for others.

I gave this place 2 tries. The chicken, except for the chicken wings, is so dry in every dish that it's hard to swallow. The pineapple rice was super dry as well. 😣 crab rangoon was delicious...not enough for me to go back again. Delivery took over an hour on a Tuesday night.

Sadly, nothing was good. Peanut sauce on app was stale. NO peanut taste. Pad Thai chicken was like leather. Not like any other Thai I’ve had. Agree w prior reviewer: spent $60 and disliked the whole thing.

Had a family gathering today. Ray and his team made us a ton of food and no one left hungry! The thai fried rice dishes are excellent, and the kids loved the pizza. The whole tray of crab rangoons went fast!

I love this place place. $5 shots! Food is good , plus you can order from the pizzeria menu or the Thai menu so everyone in your party gets what they want! The food is amazingly good! I promise you would love it!

Portions are generous, environment clean, service friendly. Daily specials, lively atmosphere! Probably have tried at least 10 different dishes a couple times, all consistently A+ quality. Highly recommend.

I spent $60 and everything we ordered is gross. I am so disappointed! Fried rice had no flavor and did not taste good. Spring rolls tasted like they had mash potato stuffed in them ??? Crab rangoons definitely didn’t taste like would want them to. I will never order from here again.

This Thai cafe has..hands down the worst Thai food possible..I've had bigger and better tasting wings from dollar tree..i had to dig just to find a few small pieces of beef in my undercooked lomain..the duck is horribly prepared..the dumplings are about the size of a quarter..definitely far from impressed with the Nim chow this meal took over an hr to be delivered...im 5minutes away cost me $53 i handed the driver $60..went up stairs..tasted everything and through it away...called and explained my disappoint and was told well just dont call us again...if you feel like throwing money in the trash today...go for it

We ordered the Tom kha gai soup, angel wings, Thai spring rolls, Thai special fried rice and drunken noodles. I was really looking forward to the angel wings and they were dry and bland, the drunken noodles were sour and the chicken was not crispy it was absolutely burned. We brought it up to our waitress’s attention and she said that that’s how it comes out and that she has had it before and it’s not so great. Another gentleman that looked like he was the manager asked if we would like a box because he saw the plate just sitting there and when we said we didn’t like it he just said oh ok. I would have expected someone to ask if they could get us something else or take it off the bill. The fried rice was ok, could use less peas and use other vegetables as a filler. The spring rolls tasted like they had mash potatoes as part of the filling and they were spicy. The soup was about the only thing they had right. It was our first and last time trying this place. It was very disappointing and a waste of time and money. I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t mind spending the money on food when it’s worth it, absolute failure.

Attentive to online ordering and the side notes I added in about food allergies. Was very considerate of that fact, so they substituted with other foods that didn't contain shellfish. The food isn't bad. It's tasty flavorful nice spices. Scallion pancakes were a bit hard, over fried maybe or old? They forgot the Thai iced tea that I ordered and paid for but eh I didn't realize it myself until I got home. There was one young guy (forgot name)who waited on me. He was professional and friendly. The price was a little steep for how much we got, probably because of the location. But overall, pretty good. a nice place to take out lunch.

We ordered from Thai Cafe based on the recommendation of our hotel, and we were not disappointed. The servings were large, the food delicious, and it was delivered when promised. We highly recommend Thai Cafe, and look forward to eating here again when we return to Rhode Island.

Placed an order through GrubHub at 5:30 PM had someone at my door with food at 5:50 PM. Magic is all I have to say about that feat and nothing wong with order either.

The worst restaurant to handle sensitive information about a customer on phone. In the age of Data breach this order taker didn't have the presence of mind to keep a cc machine for delivery or at least make a cash only payment policy for all deliveries ordered directly from the restaurant. They don't give a trust worthy impression while giving your CC info. Beware of this. After waiting for 30 min I had no option but to cancel the order and start looking for another restaurant from scratch. I have noticed this about Smithfield restaurants in general that they aren't clear if they even deliver or not.

Have ordered delivery 3 times from here. The first time there wasn't any issues. The second time we had to cancel the order after over 2 HOURS of waiting for the food. I didn't order from here in months and decided to give them another shot. My 3rd and final time; my credit card was charged a different amount than my receipt showed. Obviously someone is commiting fraud and giving themselves tips. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Food is good, service is bad. Every single time I order out or dine in there is an issue. Gave me the wrong meat, the wrong sandwich, crab Rangoon’s are mixed with the veggie ones, gave me a cold sandwich instead of hot, waited 20 min for someone to take our order when there was only one other table, forgot to make the food, etc. But obviously I keep coming back for the food because again it IS good.

I just ordered pho delivery... I usually absolutely love you guys. This time you sent me pho with no sauce, this is literally water and meat. I'm pissed. And when I called to complain about this..... YOU HUNG UP ON ME THANKS BUT GREEN BASIL WILL GET MY MONEY FOR NOW ON NOT ONLY DID YOU CHARGE ME 40$ WATER AND MEAT BUT THEN YOU HUNG UP ON ME! YOU ARE ALL GOING TO HEAR MY ASS IN PERSON TOMORROW! I WILL BE THERE COMPLAINING FIRST THING TOMORROW TRUST AN BELIEVE!
