We discovered this restaurant just today. The food was absolutely impressive. We are used to ordering scallion pancakes and steamed dumplings and pad thai at a different restaurant we've been frequenting for 25 years in another town, however Mai Thai Cuisine's food is far superior. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos at the beginning of the meal so what you've got are photos from the middle of the meal. The service was excellent, the restaurant is nicely decorated and not overdone, and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be going back.

We googled Asian food and picked this place because my kids and I enjoy Thai food and we’d never been here before. The Mai Thai rice and teriyaki wings were so good, we ordered more of each! The appetite of a 16 y/o boy and 9 y/o girl is huge! The wings were served in a tin lined with paper and some paper; some ended up in my daughter’s mouth when she tried scooping up some of the sauce. The wings could’ve definitely used more sauce; we asked for more on the 2nd order. Thee wings served with slightly stir fried veggies- nice touch! We tried the Golden Bags (fried wontons with cream cheese, cilantro and imitation crab meat)- these were just ok, the kids didn’t care for them. Lots more cream cheese than your regular Crab Rangoons. I thought they were tasty with the sweet and sour sauce, but couldn’t finish the last one (2 was plenty). The steamed Thai dumplings were different (see pic) -they are open on top which makes them great for the thick soy sauce. They are served with (lots of) toasted bits of garlic so beware if you’re not a big garlic fan. I look forward to returning to try some of the entrees. The food we had and all of the food being served, looked and smelled delicious! The service was a bit slow likely due to being low staffed. We only saw 2 women the whole night. Seemed like a lot of locals visit this restaurant; we saw one customer come in with a Valentine’s Day gift for the staff who instantly recognized him. We didn’t have a reservation and showed up at 5:30ish and there were plenty of tables (waited to be seated) and watched the place moderately fill up. The kids give it 1.5 thumbs up. It was pretty good they said.

The Pad Thai was delicious and the Ocean Fried Rice was some of the best Thai I’ve had in Rhode Island, so far. The service was good. Our waitress was fairly attentive and took a last minute request for a drink change, which we sincerely appreciated. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the mood for Thai. I don’t think you can go wrong here.

Mai Thai was one of my favorite restaurants, they are usually good with the food quality. But yesterday the way I got my meal was very disappointing. I have ordered chicken Pad Thai noodles and I found raw chicken pieces. I gave them a call and informed about what I found. She was sorry, and offered me the same dish again for no charge including an appetizer of my choice on the house. Unfortunately, I found raw chicken pieces again. So, I thought there is no point in informing again. Hence am posting this review. I don't know if they used same chopping board for chicken and peanuts or same gloves. It's absolutely their responsibility to maintain hygiene. Especially in current situation i cannot afford to get sick.

Firstly, I know the difference between turnip and a chicken and this is not first time for me to eat padthai. I explained to you in person that when I cooked the raw meet which I found is the dish, and it turned white, and it's chicken. Though you gave me a second dish it does change the facts of what I found. I expected that you would check before giving me second time. If you still feel it's turnip, please refer the images I have provided in my initial review. Anyways, I am not interested in arguing, I usually like to mention what I feel and find in my reviews. My friend and I met here for lunch and we loved it. The food was delicious and the service was great. The Thai calamari was the best calamari we have ever eaten. The fresh rolls were indeed fresh and had a lovely peanut sauce. We can't wait to go back.

The noodles were okay

The pad Thai is the best around. I get it “10 stars” and the heat does not disappoint. I order from here at least once a week. The chicken curry dishes are great as well. Get it with a side of sticky rice to suck up all the sauce. I’m so happy I don’t have to drive to Providence or Cranston to get authentic Thai now. This place is consistently delicious.

We love everything about this place! The lion city noodle dish is my favorite, but everything we have had is good and they make it to order and don't mind customizing it. Great service! Unlike many good Thai restaurants, the atmosphere is comfortable and well decorated.

Walked in for first time, and it was VERY clean and the staff was friendly. The second thing I noticed were the awesome menus. They are Burlap. So much to chose from on the menu, which is the hardest part of the experience. We ordered a couple appetizers, noodle dinner & a rice dinner. The food came out quickly & the temperature was hot. Every bite we could tell how fresh & flavorful the veggies and meals were. We took a small take out home, which I just ate for breakfast. TWO thumbs up as this is my new spot. This place rules. My wife loves the Thai Tea also, good stuff. Great date night.

Went with our toddler, who was having a rough day. Got the Pad Thai. Was very, very good. Two staff members yesterday were really sweet to our toddler, especially considering he wasn't in his best mood. They were very accommodating and the Pad Thai was very, very good.

This is our go to place for Thai Food. Hands down the best Thai place ever. They actually have a vegan menu, so a huge plus for vegetarians and vegans. The food and service both out of this world. Since we go there often, they really treat us nice. All of their waiting staff are amazing as well and service is impeccable.

My family and I had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner at this Thai restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience.

The food was simply amazing. We started with some delicious appetizers, including crispy spring rolls and savory mango rolls. For our entrees, we tried a variety of dishes, from the classic Fried rice to the flavorful Massaman Curry. Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

But what really stood out was the attention to detail and the beautiful presentation of each dish. Each plate was a work of art, with vibrant colors and delicate garnishes that made everything look even more appetizing.

And of course, no Mother's Day dinner would be complete without a special dessert. We shared a heavenly mango sticky rice that was the perfect way to end our meal.

Phenomenal fresh food and service. I've tried several menu items and it's all delicious. A great place to eat for people with food allergies and especially celiac disease. There are so many gluten free options and they also accommodate nut allergies. My favorite place to get takeout! Panang is a personal favorite!

This is a place we always come at least once a month. It never fails, food 💯 consistent in taste, portions and reasonable price options.

When I first started going to this restaurant I loved the food! However the staff isn't always pleasant. Over and over again I see the same lady who seems annoyed by me. She doesn't smile, she walks away while she is talking, stands far away as I'm speaking, even has conversations with other guests from three tables away! She put down our plates and utensils in a pile and we had to distribute them ourselves. I asked for milk and sugar with my tea, only got the sugar. I never got my steamed white rice with my curry which I had to go up to the desk to ask for. This is because they don't check to see if we need anything. I don't have a chance to ask for anything before they quickly rush away. One of the ladies I had to call 3 times to get her attention she remained where she was and I had to turn all the way around in my seat to look at her and ask her for what I needed. If being short staffed is an issue then they need to hire someone else. The woman who is always there seems rather irritated by anything I say. She on the inherent hand was quite nice to other tables. So is it just me? Today I asked for Massaman curry which I have gotten many times before with no spice. I got white coconut milk with veggies and chicken! I had to send it back, she said it's because I asked for no spice! I have never seen it come out that way. The food was super salty. I probably won't be going back again because I don't like to be treated in an unwelcome manner when I spend so much money there and expect good service. Absolutely no reason to behave the way this woman does when I go in there.

Absolutely the best, freshest Thai food in the area.

Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with extremely nice and understanding employees and incredible service. The food is all great, but I personally recommend getting the Jasmine Rice Balls. While slightly spicy and pretty hot(temperature wise), they are incredibly delicious and cheesy, and the perfect thing to share with another member of your party. As for the entree, the Silver Soup is my personal favorite, with its clear noodles, delicious meatballs and perfect temperature, this is the perfect thing to help you get over a cold or a stuffy nose. I would definitely come here again.

My first time eating Thai food and it was wonderful. The staff here are so nice and very helpful. The food is amazing infact I came back the very next day to order something new. The restaurant it self is super clean and comfy. I've been told it's the only real Thai restaurant in RI . What I mean by that is all the staff waitresses and cooks are all Thai so all the cooking is authentic.
So don't wait a lifetime to try it I am 75 years old wish I had tried it years ago.

I cannot recommend this place enough.

Mai Thai has for the be the best takeout in town. The food is always excellent, hot, and on time. Just walking in the front door feels like heaven it smells so good. The spicy eggplant is my favorite dish.

Thai food is very good but service needs serious help. Didn’t set tables and brought stack of dishes and napkin rolls of silverware only after dishes served. Then didn’t place for each person. We had to distribute. Didn’t clear empty plates after appetizers done. Had to ask her to do. Then as we were doing a dessert, she again left all the dirty dishes and had to ask her again. Then had audacity to print out tip amounts on bill starting at 18%!! This restaurant needs a manager who understands proper service and teaches employees what to do.

I had a really high hopes because of the reviews but the crab Rangoon is 98% cream cheese and then I ordered a beef pho and got old clumped together noodles are a few separate AND THERES NO BEEF they forgot it. i’ve never had food ruined my mood but this was just a fail. Overpriced. Overrated.

We were staying at the Home2 Suites in Smithfield and decided to stop ( spur of the moment) for dinner. First time here so we didn't know what to expect. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff was the initial impression. That was folliwed by an Ultimate Mai Thai Platter. That was excellent, all that we hoped for. We could have easily stopped there? But the appetizer was so enjoyable we ordered Twin Delight and Four Enemies. Wow! Tasty, freshly prepared and served with an honest smile. It's off the road in a commercial plaza and not obvious as you drive by, but definitely worth a stop.This could be a regular for us.

Food was really awesome with multiple varieties here. Spicy and delicious. We tried some drinks too. What I really liked was their hospitality. We were late from work and despite being near to closing time , they offered us such great service. It was a great example of dedication and kindness towards customers. I felt sorry for being late though but had a good experience.

Ended up here on a whim. Loved my lychee martini. Loved the food. Service was excellent. We will be back

Read a lot of good reviews about this place, looked over the menu and decided to give it a try. First of all the place is immaculate and the servers were very friendly and attentive. Went with my husband and two friends got the ultimate Mai Thai platter to start, everything on it was excellent. Each of us got a different dish and all of them were equally as good. Only downsides, the place is a little bright for intimate dining, they could dim the lights just a little. Could also choose better music for dining, I love 70-80s pop rock, but maybe something a little more subdued would be conducive to a quiet dinner. Even with that this place has been added to our list of favorite places.

This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant and the last 4 times I have placed a to-go order they have messed it up. I really wish they would write down what you are ordering because twice I almost ate something that I'm highly allergic to. The last time I returned the full order because nothing was right. I will no longer be going here.

Always the best quality food and service

Food and service is also spot on.

Never come to this place after 8p, even though they close at 9 they wanna serve you and get rid of you by 8.30..They won’t let you have dinner peacefully.. I liked this place but disappointed with their service :(
