Haus De La Vie was the perfect spot for a fun birthday lunch. It’s a small place with great Thai and Laotian food, great service and great music. All the 90s jams were on and we knew all the words. The sangria was delicious and seemed like the pitcher was bottomless! I loved that they made a special sticky coconut rice cake for our friend. The Pad Thai was incredibly, flavorful. The nim chow was fresh and good portions.
I can honestly say one of the best cuisines I've had in a while! Every single thing was jammed packed with flavor, soul, and love!
You can tell every dish is well prepared giving you the true essence of Thai & Laotian combined! Not only is the food amazing, the vibe was everything! Playing all the tunes from classic r&b and hip hop to afrobeats! You have your choice of getting a hookah while enjoying the music and decadent foods… I mean…that’s what we call a WIN-WIN!
Yum yum. Tom yum goong (shrimp) soup was aloi mak (delicious) and chock full of shrimp that brought me back to my youth-in-Asia (a little play on words). I really like that they serve the large size in a container kept heated at the table. We also had the wings which were delicious. We'll be back!
Real delish Thai and Laotian food. The menu is already rich and they have more secret recipes on Instagram too! I tried Thai-style papaya salad, chicken satay, Lao sausage (sai-auo), calamari, and sago (sa-kuu-sai-moo) All amazing and with the right spices, ingredients I'd expect when eating in Thailand. Tho the place is small, yet nice and staff we're veryf riendly and helpful. I'm so glad to have found this gem and will definitely be coming back!
This was my first time trying this restaurant. I live about a mile and a half away and I wanted a quick lunch, and I use door Dash delivery service. The food arrived quickly in about 10 to 15 minutes time. The broth arrived hot and it’s on separate container, I ordered the beef pho. in a separate Styrofoam container was the noodles, bean sprouts, a 1/2 lyme, hot green pepper slices, a sprig of mint, sliced onion, and a few condiment sauces. The broth was a clear kind of yellowish broth, even though I ordered a beef pho, which tells me that this must be the standard broth that they use no matter what protein you get in your pho. The soup was actually pretty delicious. My only request would be that they put the noodles into a separate container and provide more noodles and less bean sprouts. The price was in line with other pho restaurants. I would definitely use them again for a quick meal.
I went hoping the food would at least resemble actual Thai cuisine. I was sorely disappointed. They had Pad Krapow on the menu but it was just Chinese vegetable stir fry with rice and egg. Onions and bell peppers are not part of Pad Krapow. Other dishes i sampled were low quality. Don't get the beef jerky appetizer. I think it had just come off a funeral pyre
Over all great place
First time here, the flavors and food quality were phenomenal! Can’t wait to try more menu items…
Great place! Love the vibes and the food was delicious! Definitely suggest the crab rangoon and dumplings!
Every time I have been in there the service has been excellent with individualized care taken with orders. Vegetarian dishes, vegan, pork, beef, chicken wings, seafood and the HOUSE PHO are all amazing. The bar is exceptional and the bar tenders are generous, happy, and excellent at customer service and mixology. Great restaurant, great food, great staff!
My go to spot!!
The food was horrible it was just one blob of a suppose to be angry noodle and pad Thai gross crab ragoon had some kinda chewy thick wrap horrible I feel like I just threw 50.00 away won't return
So good 😊
Foods great, owners are great, place is clean. 10/10 recommend.
Great food. Very nice people.
Haus has great Thai/ Lao food . Their food is full of flavor and great portions
The portions are very small. Wouldn’t go back
I ordered pad see ew vegan. Unfortunately came with egg, so make sure to double check if you’re vegan! Also, the “Chinese broccoli” was just American broccoli…. BUT the noodles were DELICIOUS (incredible soft fresh wide rice noodles). The scallion pancake and pad Thai were good too. Huge portions. We’re not from Providence, but if we were we’d want to give it another try in the future
The owner, Vy, is amazing. She has been so lovely to me when I come. I love the music and the drinks and do NOT get me started on the food. The fact that this is a family owned restaurant makes it so much better!
Great vibe, friendly service. Just sat at the bar and had drinks and appetizers to check it out, and based on our experience tonight will definitely go back for a meal and would also recommend!
Vegan Nam Khao is superb
The owner Victoria greeted us when we walked in and did not miss a beat throughout our dining experience! Tried several items all were outstanding
Very good food! The ONLY Asian/Thai place my family and I will go to.
This is the original taste you can find in the Rhode Island area. Very professional service. Highly recommend
Visiting from Texas. This place is really good for authentic Thai/Lao food. 10/10 🔥
Officially addicted , ordered delivery 3 days in a row!
Crab rangoons 10/10
Thai style wings 9/10
Pad See Ew 9/10
Chicken Laarb 7/10
Pho w beef 10/10

I can not convey in words how AMAZING the wings at Haus were! Incredibly juicy, fall off the bone, and packed with flavor. The waitstaff were so sweet and even the littlest things like a full carafe of ice water on the table made all the difference. Please go and support this business, you won’t regret! Found them through the RI Food Fights and I can’t wait to go back.
The wings werent good i ate 3 and did not enjoy them too well
We came for the wings and they are so good. it's sweet chili. Not too spicy at all. Falling off the bone. We'll be back
The pork bao buns and egg rolls were amazing! Best I’ve had in Rhode Island
What a fantastic place to eat, the steak is second to none, well worth a visit you will not be disappointed.
Very nice place, staff is friendly, food is Amazing. Great place to eat with reasonable prices. Definitely will be going back!
Laotian restaurant, small place, high ceilings, full bar. Bright and open. Friendly staff and super nice owner. Options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Laotian and Thai food are kind of similar, laab, papaya salad, satay and sticky rice all a standout. We asked for fiery, unreasonably spicy - Haus De La Vie nailed it! So delicious!! All the fish sauce and garlic and fresh herbs and vegetables - cannot rave enough right now. Going back for curries and soups when the weather chills out. Hands down the best we have had since moving East from Hawaii! Go, go, go!

Picked up dinner while visiting friends in Providence. Good solid food. Helpful friendly service.
Great place for excellent pho.
2023 update- quality continues to be thriving, i came for cinco de mayo and had some of there fusion Tacos. Man if they bring that back I’m coming for the fish tacos. (Tacos were only for that weekend)
Lets gooo!! We got a spot thats worth going to.. what u see below is papaya salad , chicken wings. And skewers..2nd time here and i forgot to take a picture of the pho.. but when i tell you that this is the prime location for your thai and laotian needs!! You will not be disappointed..drunken noodles is eliteeee
First time going . Very good , we had 2 types of chicken wings , drunken noodles , dumplings , duck pho. And pork pancake . Everting was really good. Staff was great & chef came out to see if we were happy .
Wanted to support a local business especially after seeing positive interactions on social media; however, we were incredibly disappointed. Firstly, the guy who was on and waiting on guests was not helpful with the menu when we asked for suggestions. When we placed our orders, we were the only party there yet they forgot one of our appetizers. In the end, we didn’t feel like we missed out on it since our food was not good. The lemongrass teriyaki skewers tasted sour like they went bad, calamari was soft, Tom yum soup was sweet (it’s suppose to be sour) and the drunken noodles with pork belly was so bland. I’d be willing to give the place a second chance if I felt like I’d be getting better and more personable service but it just didn’t seem like a place that was grateful for new business.
Stunningly good food and drinks. So surprised that the atmosphere is so chill. Very very affordable. Service was impeccable.
Absolutely incredible first experience, the food was SO GOOD !!!!!!! You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes they offer. Enjoy a delicious cocktail and a few apps or order dinner and hang out for a little bit. No matter how you decide to spend your time here you work regret it. Huge thank you to Vee for creating such a beautiful space !
This is the best thai restaurant in providence. I have been on the hunt for authentic, spicy, delicious, quality thai food in rhode island and this is the only place i can go to get this. NOWHERE else compares yet. Spicy means spicy, the flavours are proper per dish, and it is CONSISTENTLY delicious. I have ordered 5 times in the past ten days. Best thai style papaya salad i have had in the united states.
Haus is located in an unassuming strip mall on the Providence/North Providence line near Mineral Springs Ave. Food is Laotian/Thai, but I went for Cinco de Mayo specials. The margaritas made by Carlos are among the best I've ever had. The Tajin rim was a nice touch. The tacos were an Asian Mexican fusion and were very tasty indeed. What I really liked about it was how friendly everybody was, from the bartender to the owner to the cook, who all asked if everything was okay.
Haus is also a hookah bar, make your dinner plans accordingly. I did not find the activity intrusive or offensive.
WOW so disappointed! I read good reviews for this place, clearly those people don't know what good Thai food is! Ordered the Pad Thai, Chicken. Description reads sauteed in eggs, bean sprouts, & green onions...1st, the chicken was so dry it was inedible, couldn't chew it, seriously card board like. 2nd, the peanuts were either very old, or very cheap, or both. Dehydrated & chewy, they stuck to my teeth. Old peanuts have a very distinct taste. 3rd, Noodles were glued to each other. I needed to cut everything up before I could eat. It litereally made noodle squares... 4th no eggs, NONE...5th, onions, there were four 2 inch green onions in the entire dish, and the sprouts were like skinny strings, not fresh, no crunch to them. The sauce or "vinegrette" as they described it was more sweet than tangy. Coupled with the sticky, gluey texture of the noodles, made it an unpleasent experiance in the mouth. I felt like i was eating a glutiny, (if thats even a word) almost gelatinous mess. I felt the oil going down my throat when I swallowed. It tasted very unhealthy. That is NOT what Pad Thai should taste like. Definitely would not recommend this dish.
Authentic. If you want your Ma-Tao cooking, Haus got you covered. We started with Nam chow, it’s taste like summer in your mouth. I was craving for Kapoon (Red Coconut Soup) and they did not disappoint. The broth was Heavenly vermicelli noodle and tons of fresh herbs! The portion was huge and yes I ate the whole thing. My Sister had Kow piek (Lao chicken Noodles soup) so good it clear her Cold! The restaurant a small but Cozy the decor was cute and there plenty of “selfie” spots. Drinks are yummy This is must Repeat!
Food is decent.
Not great business practice. You really shouldn’t impose a 20% tip on a take out. Tipping should always be optional for take out. I called the restaurant to order directly so you don’t have to share with all the 3rd party app, I went to pick up the food myself, no where on your website say that all take out orders included a required 20% tips. Just raise the price of the actual food if you really think your prices are too low. Please don’t run business like this. You will lose customers.
Ordered take-out, picked it up myself. They slapped a 20% tip on the charge without my consent. I called them and they said that it was a policy listed on the menu. They then checked the menu and said it was not, noting they would promptly refund it.
Still have not refunded the money.
I can honestly say one of the best cuisines I've had in a while! Every single thing was jammed packed with flavor, soul, and love!

Great food with the great vibes and service. Kapiek seafood is my go to

We went here on a snowy night in February and the hot chicken pho, pad kra pow, and lemongrass beef skewers hit the spot. Everything was amazing and they give very good portions! The staff was also super friendly and attentive and they were great with my very impatient 3 year old, haha. I will be back again for more!!
Some things decent price, other things kinda expensive. But i was mostly disappointed about how i asked if they were BYOB and they failed to mention the $100 corkage fee they charged my table for bringing a few beers. When corkage fees are typically $10-$20. So yea make sure you ask about that before you bring your own alcohol because it was more expensive than all of our lunches.
Food was amazing, staff was so nice and portions are huge...I have papaya salad for a week. My only suggestion is the spice level...my suggestion is start with mild and move on from there I orderd a spice level medium which I loved but is definitely not for the tame with spice tolerance will definitely be back
Amazing & delicious food!
Amazing place to lounge and enjoy authentic Thai + Laos cuisine! Service was absolutely beyond great. Highly recommended!
Top Notch Laotian cuisine. Must try if you are in the area! Khao Piak Sen noodle soup is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Please order everything!
Delicious, fresh Thai food. Best recent Thai experience in Rhode Island.
Amazing.
We ordered pho and some apps— everything was absolutely delicious. Takeout took only 15 minutes! I’m so glad this restaurant is close to my house; we’ll definitely order again.
This place is great! I usually get take out but I hope to eat in at some point. The staff is very friendly and and the food is always delicious. I always get an iced coffee with my orders. Love it!
Haus is my favorite Thai/Lao restaurants to dine in. Nice atmosphere and the employees are very welcoming. Haus is the first asian cuisine to offer hookah so if you’re looking for a good meal and nice laid back environment this is the spot !
Starting with the appetizers my favorite is their crab Rangoon which is crispy on the outside filled with rich and creamy flavors. I can see why they’re the best rangoons ! Also the crispy shrimp rolls & haus wings are a must. Moving along with the entree, my favorites are the pad see u, pho, pad kraw, laad nad and many more ! Everything on the menu has always been outstanding and authentic I definitely would give this place a try !
Messed up my order
Omg the DRUNKEN NOODLES were amazing.. love the experience.. I am definitely coming back with the family
For a place with exorbitant prices you'd expect there to be a higher quality of food. Sadly this place does fit the bill.
The drunken noodles I got were nothing special and the yellow curry was somewhat watery.
Not sure id try this place again given the other Thai alternatives in the area.
A+ SO GOOD. This place deserves to be packed every night. Had the red curry and the drunken noodles - both were excellent, perfectly spiced, lots of veggies and bright, balanced flavors. No problem accommodating a gluten/wheat allergy. It’s a relaxing space with great food, a clean environment, and welcoming and friendly people. Loved it. Excited to go back regularly!
Ordered take out and it didn’t take long at all. The food was delicious with so much flavor. I got the crispy spring rolls, nime chow, the Lao sausage, the crying tiger beef, the papaya salad and the nam khao. The portions are really good sized and the dipping sauce for the crying tiger beef was delicious!
This is already my 3rd time here !!!
The Crab Rangoon is the best i ever had. The food never takes long, every time i come the Server is on point & always checks on us ! This is the BEST food place in NORTH PROV
Over the weeks I’ve become a regular here and I cannot recommend it enough!! Their crab Rangoons are out of this world and everything else I’ve tried has continued to exceed my expectations. 10/10 recommend this restaurant, the vibe is amazing too.
Ordered Pad Kra Pow and Nam Khao and very disappointed. Came here because of high review. Pad Kra Pow was extremely salty and the crispy pork is rock hard. Nam Khao was cold and the the crispy rice was hard as well. Both dishes really below my expectation. Not sure how other reviews are so high. Maybe I came here on an off day or we ordered things no one else orders. Very disappointed.
Good food best place to eat And it’s lounge 💯
My favorite choice is the Pad kra paw great food good vibes awesome staff
Delicious food- nice atmosphere! Papaya salad was great! Can’t wait to try the pho!
Not as good as other thai restaurants in the area. Would be willing to try once more. Had the drunken noodles.
Food was promised to be ready in 10-15 min, but took about 45 min. Was very busy for dine in service however.
I’ve had the Drunken noodles, papaya salad, Lao sausage & egg rolls. I liked the drunken noodles the best. The papaya could use some more flavor. Portion was enough to share between 3 people. A little pricier than other places that serve the same food.
Best thai food around Providence! Small family run restaurant. Excellent spicy drunken noodle.
Ordered take out yesterday. First time trying and I was not disappointed! Food was so gooood! I ordered suer hong hai, wings,
sai kok, nam khao & jeow bee. All dishes were well put together and seasoned 🔥
Great service. Great food. Real cool spot
Nice spot. I love Thai food and have it often. I had the red curry and laab gai. Both very flavorful and to the spice level that I requested.
Absolutely Love their food!!!! Simply delicious!!!Love to support small businesses and I would definitely order food all the time.
Excellent
I live right next to this place and once the sign was up I was eager to try it! Today was their grand opening and man did they impress. It was adorable because the whole family was there to celebrate and support! I ended up ordering take out and it was done in 15 mins! 15 minutes for a place that just opened up is QUICK. This has to be top 5 best Thai food that I’ve ever had. Maybe even the best. Everything was super hot, extremely flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the chicken pad thai, the drunken noodles, the crab rangoon’s and the crispy roll's. All of their little sauces that they give you are top notch. Seems like everything is house made. I would 1000000% recommend this place and I will definitely be back. Thanks to the girls who served me! Keep doing you cause you’re killing the game!!
