I thought it was cute here and I liked it. Street parking is medium hard depending on the day. Service was nice. I loved the Tom Yum Soup. Great. The crab Rangoon were nice as well; forgot what they were called like golden crowns or something. Most things were very reasonably priced. Would definitely come again
I did think that it could have used a bit more flavor: they had soy sauce on the table so I added it myself. Could be good for the local people here though so they can add the level they’d like.
Huge bathroom. Variety of seating types (I love booths) and they were able to seat a party of like 14 at a few tables as I was heading out.
Vatsana Thai & Sushi is the kind of place where the ambiance whispers “relax” while the kitchen shouts “oops!” 🌿✨ The dining room is cozy and adorned with dangling greenery and twinkling fairy lights, setting a serene vibe for what should have been a seamless culinary journey. Sadly, this visit was more of a scenic detour.
The night started with promise: friendly servers who exuded warmth and professionalism. But as the evening stretched into hours, it became clear the kitchen was having an off day. Appetizers decided to join the party fashionably late—after the entrees had already stolen the spotlight. To make matters more entertaining, our sushi missed the show entirely, arriving in a to-go box for a home finale. 🎭🍣
The food itself hovered just above average. The chicken satay, though seasoned well, leaned on the dry side, needing the Nam Jim Satay (peanut sauce) to rescue it with its creamy, nutty goodness. The Crab Rangoon (or “golden bags”) stood out as the highlight—crispy, creamy, and a delightful crunch of comfort. The Beef Pad Thai had an unexpected smoky twist, which was intriguing but not quite transformative.
Despite the kitchen mishaps, the staff handled the chaos gracefully, apologizing sincerely and even removing the appetizer charges—a classy move that softened the blow. 🙌
While I wouldn’t crown Vatsana the reigning champ of Thai or sushi in the area (Baylee’s for Thai and Nami/Ichiban for Sushi still wear those crowns 👑), I’d give it another shot on a smoother night. For now, it’s a restaurant with potential—and a lot of heart—but a kitchen that needs to keep its timing in check.
Final verdict: amazing company and kind service can turn a rough dining experience into a tolerable one, but next time, let’s hope the food and timing shine brighter than the fairy lights. ✨And many thanks to our friends sharing their food.
The food is delicious! I had the green curry With tofu And vegetables. It was perfectly cooked, with still crunchy veggies. It's very spicy. We also had fresh egg rolls with Shrimp Very fresh and yummy. Definitely recommend the food. The music is way too loud, and the service is casual
Every single dish I ordered from here was delicious, unique, and satisfying. Plating was absolutely stunning and I enjoyed every morsel I could fit into my mouth. I sincerely appreciated the kind and attentive service. I honestly think this is the best restaurant in Pawtuxet Village. I'm so grateful a restaurant like this is within walking distance from my house. It's the perfect place to take a stroll to in the summer and get a meal that's surely going to be good. Dine in and take out, I've been here a couple times and fully endorse this restaurant. 5s across the board.
Excellent food. Fresh and delicious. The Chicken Satay was juicy and flavorful, the peanut sauce was perfect. The dumolims delicate, but with packed a delicious punch. The pineapple rice was just the right balance of sweet, savory and spice. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, well paced meal with welcoming staff and charming decore.
Amazing place with absolutely delicious food! Can’t get enough of the coconut green curry and the sushi is out of this world! Cannot recommend enough ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Courteous staff. Food was not good. I am quite surprised by all the positive reviews. I have traveled to Thailand, so my taste buds are abit different, especially in judging the American Thai food version.
A favorite neighborhood spot for fresh sushi and Thai food. Nice vibe, and usually quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. Often run into friends and neighbors, and always enjoy our meal.
Their sushi is fresh and I cant think of any food item Ive had that was bad! Quaint and contemporary! Great for a date night. I only wish they had earlier and later hours of operation. Highly recommend!
Excellent food and good service
Delicious green curry with tofu and very good chicken satay. I liked the ambiance and the music, too.
The very First time there was amazing. The service was on point, I'm talking cleaning up plates before the bill. Then the second time, we had to ask for everything (more than once) and it wasnt busy yet. That would be OK, we all have days you know... but the sushi nime roll and the sunomono salad was what we were excited for...it was different- a bit too salty for us. So it all depends on who is cooking and their mood in that given day. Seriously though when it is good it is so good.
Best Thai food around ! My son who is 18 months loves the pineapple fried rice with chicken so much we have to get him his own order ! But everything we’ve had is delicious and fresh!
Gorgeous place, food was tasty, but the service seemed confused. We only got some of our order. We were never charged for anything we didn't receive, so that was fine, but server was definitely bad at listening.
I've always enjoyed this place, but literally the last 5 times I've asked if they can put no cucumbers in the sushi. It's like the chef puts extra out of spite. I rather just be told they don't make changes, I can at least respect that.
This place never fails!!!!
The go-to place for Asian cuisine in the eastern Warwick/Cranston area. Thai beef salad is always amazing and can't go wrong with the sushi options.
Amazing food!
The food was very good.

Awesome Sushi Resturant! Love their sushi! I also love that you are allowed to bring your one acoholic drink. Servers are friendly too!
Takeout is wonderful! The duck pho is 🙌🏾
Great value. You will not regret coming here or taking out. This is our go to let's-just-eat-out-tonight place. We have never had a bad dish, although we would hard pressed to name any dishes that they make better than every one else. The service is always very polite, attentive and prompt, but they also tend to be waiters with not a great depth of experience and, thus, not flawless in their work. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It is never so crowded that you are conscious of your conversations being heard or of the noise of others. Maybe the acoustics are just well done. BYOB is very nice feature.
One of the best restaurants in town. Have not had anything on the menu I did not like.
Very nice atmosphere with great food. We had Thai, and it was expertly cooked and presented. Highly recommend!
Food was great, and the young man that helped me was as well. The only negative and it’s not even really a negative, was I had no idea how spicy the sticky chicken is because normally sticky chicken isn’t spicy. I’m not big on spice so that part is personal lol. But everything else was great.
Honestly great food , great atmosphere and great service. this is my go to Thai and they are BYOB!
Very American
Love our little neighborhood spot..The Tom Ka soup is really perfect as is the chicken Satay... i usually get them together for a light meal. We have had some of the sushi and it's good. The owners and staff are lovely.
Just okay, not a lot of flavor in any dishes I've had there. The staff are nice & food comes out quickly, though!
I tried them out for the first time this weekend and it was delicious! I got the fresh rolls, duck, and pad Thai. Reasonable price and I’ll definitely be going back!
Always delicious.
I love this place and have ordered here countless times. The staff is really friendly and the inside of the restaurant is is pleasant and provides a nice atmosphere. Most of all, the food is consistently good and I find myself always return into it when I’m craving Thai (they have sushi on the menu too and it is very good as well!)
Nice spot for a meal in the village. BYOB.
Love the rainbow roll
I came here one year ago and everything was delicious so I decided to bring my dad here for his birthday thinking it would still be great. It was a huge let down, food is overpriced for what it is. $25 for “seafood madness” with a filet of tilapia, one mussel and not fully cooked veggies. Pad se ew was delicious will say that although veggies could be cooked longer as well. Sushi was very small for what you’re paying. There was only 1 waitress for the entire place (she was great and was just trying her best) wouldn’t come back though.
I've gone here 3 times and each time the food is great. I usually get a noodle dish and share an app with the individuals I'm with.
The dishes come out with great flavor and spice. The proportions of them are on point.
10/10 highly recommend.
Best sushi ever… beautifully presented with unique combinations. Lovely service in a cozy casual setting . Worked well with us when we brought a birthday cake and our own alcoholic beverages for our family celebration. Have been there twice in the last month and I see us going back frequently.
Great time good food
Step in bringing me back to Thailand with atmosphere and a very delicious food.
Surprisingly good Thai meal - wonderfully spiced duck, crispy basil, scrumptious spring rolls.
Best pad Thai and crab rangoons (called golden bags here) I’ve ever had. Great service. Great atmosphere. Can’t say enough good about this little place. Love it.
Dining in ordered the Shrimp Tom Yum and Dragon’s Breath made with a whole side of eel. My eyes rolled back in my head eating this delicious Maki Roll. Tom Yum was also delicious, nice and sour. I highly recommend this small restaurant. Check for business hours.
Revisit: tried the Vatsana Roll w/ Inside, tuna, salmon, avocado, cucumber. Outside: wasabi, tokiko, cilantro and wasabi mayo. Baby octopus and tamago on the side. Very delicious, highly recommended.
Have ordered takeout from Vatsana many times and always enjoy my meals! Nice BYOB dine in available too.
Pad Thai was amazing. Sushi was only ok and not very visually appealing.
Great food, friendly service. No wine/beer, FYI. All in all, we tried 3 appetizers and 5 uncooked rolls + 1 cooked roll (squid, eel, yes!) and were very pleased. Sweet spot in the Village. :-)
Amazing food, friendly staff. Food is always fresh and delicious, one of our favorite Thai spots in Rhode Island!
Nice food, cozy place.
Liking this place more and more each time I go.
Delicious selection. They have brown rice, too.
By and far some of the greatest food I've had in a long while. The "Yum Nua Yang" is insanely fresh and with the medium heat option (most definitely hot enough) you end up with a fresh and juicy salad paired with a perfect fresh heat. Just get it.
This place is a great find - what a cool spot! It’s got a great atmosphere on the inside and the food is out of this world. I came on the recommendation of a friend and wasn’t disappointed. It’s hard for a restaurant to live up to its hype a lot of the time, but Vatsana really holds its own. I’ll be back and will be bringing my friends.
NEVER DISAPPOINTS. 👍🏼
This restaurant has a great ambiance and food.
We’ve visited several times and ordered the soups 🍜 , multiple sushi 🍱, and several of the Thai options and each meal 🥘 has been AMAZING 🤩.
This a return spot for us. Love it 😍
Let me also add their customer service and presentation is awesome 👏🏼.
Yummy!
The seafood salad is delicious!! Not my favorite pad thai, but I'm very particular about that.
Easily the best sushi in Rhode Island. They nail it every time and it’s always beyond fantastic. You can go wrong with any of their specialty rolls, Thai dishes and especially Tom Ka soup. The service is awesome, always incredibly kind. Love love love this place
No online ordering available
I got the sweet potato roll , spider roll , coconut curry yellow !!! Let me say this place is the best sushi I had yet here in Rhode Island . I moved here to 2 years ago . I did a pickup order which was super fast. ..The coconut curry is absolutely delicious and tasteful.
Really good at what they're good at. Nobody does everything
Their food is so delicious!
A friday movie night wouldn’t be the same in our household without Vatsana’s to start the evening at home off. One of the best thai food and sushi places in RI. It will never disappoint. And to top it off, its located in pawtuxet village, definitely a great place to enjoy ice cream, a stroll with beautiful water in the spring/summer months! A gem!
Our neighbor told us about Vatsana Thai & Sushi, so we tried it. Our experiences have been delicious. We have only tried their take out since Covid started, and we have not dined in. Their interior is quite beautiful, so someday we would give it a try. If I dined in, I would plan to make reservations for a corner or a wall table. The interior is impeccable, clean is an understatement. The servers are so courteous. As an aside, we lost one of our cats (yet to be found), and one evening, I noticed that it was the only flyer hung in their entrance. I don't know them well, but they seem kind.
Yum
Great service and excellent food!
I wish it would be be litte less expensive!
Pleasant service (take out), and delicious food. Really enjoyed the steamed dumplings and the lemongrass chicken.
Ordered takeout tonight for the first time. This place is delicious. Very impressed with the flavor and freshness. Will definitely be a new favorite!!
Pad thai and sushi are delicious, I'll definitely be going back!
Delicious food
Great food and service, love it.
Always my favorite!
This is truly a wonderful place to eat. The food is great, and the staff are caring and friendly. Highly recommend.
First visit, but the sushi specials and the wonton soup were delicious! The wonton seemed to be the most authentic I've had compared to other good, but very "Americanized" food.
Nice little Asian-fusion restaurant.
Great Thai food with just the right amount of spice.
The reason to come here is for the food. Everything is exquisitely plated and bursting with all the flavors and textures of Thai cuisine. The fact that it's BYOB is an added bonus. Thank goodness I don't live close by, my wallet would suffer greatly.
Vatsana is excellent, I travel on business to Thailand often and have found Vatsana to be the most authentic Thai cuisine I've ever eaten outside of Thailand.
Vatsana is the real deal...😍
I LOVE this place. Staff is always super friendly and on their A-game consistently. The sushi and entrees are excellent presentation and taste phenomenal. My standards for sushi are high; I've had some of the best in the country, and Vatsana's sushi is competitive. I hope Vatsana will offer GrubHub or UberEats in the future, but in the mean time, they are a valuable establishment in Pawtuxet Village.
Delicious food, great service! Happy to see gluten free options on the menu.
The food is amazing. Sushi is fresh and delicious, dishes are authentic with a touch of the cooks own style. If you're looking for great Thai food AND sushi (which is a hard combo to find) then you definitely need to try this place. Diana (owner) and her staff are the best. Did I mention it was B.Y.O.B. as well? Yerrrrr
It was good. Service was excellent.
The food was very fresh and filling. It's a small dining area, so the staff is very attentive
Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Not sure why you're reading this and not already here eating.
Such a quaint spot for a meal. Service was lovely. Decor makes one feel like they are at a temple. Food was very good.
Excellent Thai food!
Pleasant atmosphere!
Excellent food. Very clean. Nice ambience. Great service. A great little Byob spot!
Excellent food and service!
Great food, unique flavor for this first time for this Thai food eater. Will visit again.
Really enjoyed the sushi lunch special, tasty and fresh. The steamed dumpling was amazing. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.
This place is awesome! Everything is homemade and extremely fresh. Thank you for your consistency and emphasis on quality.
Great place. Little hole in the wall I’ll definitely go back. Try their coffee it’s amazing
A cozy little Thai place, pleasantly decorated. One will notice the unique and thoughtfully decorated ambiance intriguing. It gives a very serene feeling.
Staff is very friendly. They were very bent upon making sure that we felt comfortable. Full points to the staff.
Service was quick and courteous.
There are standard Thai items on menu. The food is good but not over the top delicious.
There is also a wide selection of sushi and maki rolls available.
Presentation was quite good. Surely someone is paying attention to how things look and feel in this restaurant.
It is a BYOB restaurant and you get 10% discount in the nearby liqour shop if you say you are dining at vatsana.
Free WiFi available.
Definitely recommended.
Five stars to offset the guy who loved the place and left 1 star??
Great food and atmosphere
For where it is, it's pretty decent. Don't expect strict authenticity (of the sushi anyway) but can't beat convenient and friendly.
Lovely. Reasonable. Tasty.
Very spicy but delicious!
Incredible prices for excellent food. NIce atmosphere all the workers are great.
They go out of their way to make your meal perfect. The menu is top notch, this place has amazing sushi and traditional thai dishes, love!
Best sushi around. Good place to go!
Samurai roll was fresh and delicious. Wife had her favorite Coconut curry shrimp and I had Pad Krapow -ground chicken, sticky rice with a egg on top. Lots of chiles and packed with flavor. BYOB!!
I am so glad they came to the area. The food is very good. This will be my new favorite spot.
Small restaurant in Pawtuxet village. Staff was friendly. Food came out in timely manner. The sauce was a bit too sweet for pad see ew for my tastes but over all the dish was good. My dining partner liked the seafood medley he chose. Would go back again and try other dishes.
The food is excellent, both Thai and Japanese. The service is commensurate.
I kept hearing about this place and decided to see what the hype was about. I went with a few ppl who have big appetites, so we ordered quite a bit and shared a little of everything. I'd have to say, EVERYTHING we had was AMAZING. You cant go wrong with ordering anything on the menu.
A friend suggested this place, so I came in to try it. I had heard the pineapple fried rice with chicken was good, so that's what I tried. The place is very clean and the server was very nice. I met the chef/owner Diana, also very nice. My place was a large plate, something 2 can share with another entree or someone with a larger appetite. The fried rice was very good, had large chunks of pineapple and small raisins, which made some bites of the rice sweet. I liked that. The chicken was white meat and mixed in the rice. I also tried the desert of honey fried banana and a scoop of ice cream. Also very good, the banana looks like its wrapped in little egg rolls. I only gave 4 stars because I would like to come back and try a few more dishes like the crispy duck or drunken noodle, and hope this isn't just a 1 hit wonder. I hope you enjoy the place as much as I did.
Terrific food BYOB
Awesome food.. Good place for vegetarian.
Everything I have had has been delicious. They use fresh ingredients and will accomodate requests.
Attentive servers, relaxing atmosphere, and GREAT FOOD. Pad Thai, Golden Bags and Kathew (pho) were 👌🏾. Can’t wait to go back.
Great service, fantastic food. Glad to have another delicious option so close to home.
Everything thing we’ve tried has been very fresh, delicious and authentic to traditional Thai food. This helps make up for the inconsistent service when dining in-they have always been pleasant but not always “with it”. Looking forward to trying their sushi in November.
Delicious food, friendly staff always aiming to please and willing to cater dishes to your liking (I like my dishes extra spicy!). The restaurant itself is very open and clean. It's BYOB and there is a liquor store a block down that offers 10% off your LQ purchase when you mention you're dining at Vatsana. Big fan of the golden bags, calamari, pad thai and drunken noodles...portions are large and priced well. This place will become a staple of mine!
Portions are great, and friendly service! 😊🤘
Generous portions and outstanding flavor. We’ve been back twice already. Highly recommend the vegetable pad thai and the massaman curry.
Its a Piece of heaven in every bite. The appetizers came out quick. So inlove with the Golden Bags and The Calamari. The atmosphere is very calm with soft lighting. excellent service, Will be coming here for life!!!
It's amazing food with amazing service it's my go to place for Asian cuisine 💜
For a newly opened place, our meals were above expectations and the service was very attentive. The prices were also reasonable.
This place just opened last week. I phoned in an order of pad Thai with chicken. Upon pick up, the restaurant seem to look very clean and comfortable; although there was nobody in there. It was 2 PM so it would be typical that nobody was there. My food was ready, the woman at the counter was very attentive. The pad Thai was excellent in presentation and taste. Everything was extremely fresh. The website said 20% off all orders. When I asked for the discount the woman said that is for dine in only. She still gave me the discount without blinking an eye; a good sign of customer service. They will most likely note the change on their website. My instincts tell me this place is going to be a local success. I hope you enjoy as well.
