Small cozy place with great taste! Must try restaurant for Thai lovers. Recommended for vegetarians also.

Diner Review №2

Full flavor authentic Thai food, cozy atmosphere and very warm service.
Definitely will return.
The new owner, here since 2 months, is very pleasant and makes the visit a worthwhile experience.

Diner Review №3

Ordered from DoorDash. Curry does not come with rice and the Rama peanut does, but it’s a pitiful amount. Please fix your DoorDash as there was no option for my partner to select tofu. My curry was very salty and overall not very good.

this is my placeeeeee

Diner Review №5

We ordered the food from Uber. The two
Curry dishes we ordered were pretty good, although the green curry had no spice even though we asked for it. The papaya salad was good, but not nearly as spicy as it should be. I really enjoyed the sauces that came with our two appetizers. The biggest reason I am giving this two stars is because the lemon grass soup was awful and maybe not even lemon grass soup? And the mango sticky rice was terrible we had to just through both of them away. What annoyed me most, is that the mango was clearly not ripe at all yet and they still decided to send it out. I would have appreciated more if they just refunded the money since the quality was not there.

Terrible food. Don’t waste your money. Everything was overly sweet for some reason. I’m talking about someone dumped the whole jar of sugar kind of sweet. Drunken noodles and green curry tasted like eating dessert, inedible. The seafood in my soup tasted rancid and extremely fishy. Nothing this place uses is fresh canned vegetables in every dish. What a shame….

Diner Review №7

I'm so disappointed. I ordered from here because I was craving Thai food and the rating is very high on Uber eats. The veggies are disgusting. The bean sprouts are obviously from a can, not fresh. The sauces are not authentic at all, and the cooking is very poor (it doesn't have the right flavor). The only fresh veggies are raw shredded carrots. The meat is weirdly tough and chewy, very overcooked. Nothing is cooked fresh, and there is a weird flavor in some things.

They absolutely do not deserve more than 2 stars. This isn't even mediocre food, it's just bad. Clearly cheaping out on the ingredients and not making the food fresh. Poor quality for any price point, but way overpriced for what this is.

The bean sprouts in my pad Thai are literally grey and look disgusting.

Diner Review №8

The food here is pretty terrible. Every time I order out or dine in here, I regret it. The employees are nice enough, but the chicken in the stir fry is dry, the ribs are flavorless and dry, the noodles aren’t cooked with enough sauce so they can be dry and inconsistent, etc. I just wish the cooks knew what they were doing so I didn’t have to be disappointed all the time.

Diner Review №9

my favorite Thai food in the city. I drove 30 minutes, each way, to get it & it was worth it! I can't wait to get it again!
(I got the curry puffs, chicken satay and chicken thai basil rice. 1000/10)

Diner Review №10

I order through door dash 2 times and each time has been delicious. I enjoy their Mango sticky rice and the curry selection. Menu is full of variety. Quality food.

Diner Review №11

Excellent green curry, lots of veggies and properly spicy. Noodles and soup also delicious. Small place and quick service. We were craving Thai and this hit the spot! Don’t know why some reviews say raw veggies, if they are soggy and overcooked they’re pointless with all the nutrients gone.

Amazing

I crave it everyday.

Diner Review №16

Great food and service. Cute and quaint sit down dining.

Diner Review №17

Food was below expectations for any Thai place. Generally lacking in flavor and proper salted-ness. Veggies still had snap but the sauces weren’t very good

Diner Review №18

Hours are incorrect. I am here on a Tuesday and it is closed.

Diner Review №19

horror story: everything fell out of the bottom of the bag and smelled up the entire hallway

Diner Review №20

Green Basil is such a great place! My favorite thing to order is their coconut soup!! So light and refreshing!! Great for a cozy night in! Highly recommend!

Diner Review №21

Very small portions, onions and carrots were raw in the beef fried rice. I asked for no peppers in mine, got peppers. Beef larb, papaya salad, sticky rice, beef fried rice were all nasty. Even the $2 can of soda wasn't cold.

Diner Review №22

Diner Review №23

Pre Covid the food here was amazing. Post Covid not so much. The spring rolls were good! The Veggie pad Thai was over cooked and dry. The Seafood Tom Yum Noodle Soup had the whole shrimp in it, tail and shell, yuck! I won’t be back!

Diner Review №24

Got the pineapple fried rice w/ pork - lack of tamarind sauce, pork was dry and chewy, not to mention it was $14. Ehhh, no need to try again when it’s that expensive for a mediocre dish

Diner Review №25

Tasty but then got really sick. Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep because my stomach hurt so much. Also the vegetable Lemon Grass soup I got tasted like horrible fish. I threw it away.

Diner Review №26

Thai food is absolutely my favorite (besides Mexican), and we liked this place okay, but unfortunately it won't be a go-to for us. We ordered take out for lunch and the portion sizes are extremely small for what we're used to with Thai food, the drunk noodles almost weren't enough for a meal and a few hours later I was hungry again with no left overs. The seasoning was great and I loved how they cooked the chicken and everything, they know how to do drunken noodles well. My partner got a curry rice dish that had no flavor, he ended up mixing it around in my drunken noodle juice/flavors to try and make it better. I wasn't so disappointed with the vegetables, and honestly if you want it spicier just add some red pepper flakes at home. My biggest disappointment was absolutely the portion sizes.

Diner Review №27

I want to support local restaurants, but unfortunately this one is not going to be on my go-to list. They need to rethink their fresh ingredients. I agree with another reviewer that the veggies look/taste like they’re canned or frozen. Once they get that right, I’ll come back.

Just ordered Seafood Penang curry and Massaman curry. I’m so so disappointed. Let me tell you why...
That was NOT massaman curry. I’ve had that dish in Thailand and other restaurants... it’s one of my fave dish and actually voted #1 dish in the world... unfortunately, this was a stew with overdose of onions and peanut sauce. This is not how you treat the most popular dish in the world. Total disrespect.
Secondly, we ordered the both dishes to be spicy and super spicy... the dishes were actually sweet. If you know Thai Food, spicy and super city should be something id feel this burning sensation in my throat, stomach and then my as*!

Overall, the dishes were decent, not authentic and not worth $38 for them. I think all these good reviews are coming from ppl that has no idea about Thai food.

Ordered from here on a whim and absolutely loved the drunken noodles and dumplings. This is my go to place!

Diner Review №35

Ordered two green curry dishes for takeout. It was frozen vegetables with boiled chicken in a green watery soup. Asked for it to be spicy - it wasn't.
Pretty disappointing.

Lately my experience with trying out new places wasn’t that successful until I tried this place! Great food! Would absolutely order again.

Solid Thai to go

Diner Review №41

I ordered takeout. Cheap frozen vegetables in the dishes- extremely disappointing. I ordered several different dishes - everything basically tastes the same. I've been to Thailand many times and I know what it is supposed to taste like - this isn't even remotely close. Maybe the prices don't allow them to buy fresh vegetables...

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

This was the most bland thai food I have ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Diner Review №44

Diner Review №45

Don't eat here if you are plant-based. There's always fish sauce even in the "vegan" dishes.

Diner Review №46

incredibly fresh veggies in the pad thai, super fast and friendly service, delicious food, a quiet escape on wild south st

Diner Review №47

Best drunken noodles I have ever eaten

Diner Review №48

Good Thai food. Has a rewards program, which you don't see in many restaurants - free chicken pad Thai after a few visits!

Diner Review №58

I did not like the food here. It tasted awful to me. Everything had an underlying curry flavor that I wasn't crazy about. I ordered the coconut soup and it tasted tangy and sour, way too much lime in it. The chicken satay tasted old and gamey. My partner ordered the mossaman curry it was more like a soup. It had ok flavor but I have had better curries in the city.

Diner Review №66

Great place to get a nice bite in Philly. The food was reasonably priced and quite tasty. Service was awesome. We loved the quote ambience.

Diner Review №67

We came based on other high ratings. Though the place is homey and the service is friendly and helpful, the food left a bit to be desired. We're vegetarian, and have found that many places just don't know how to cook flavorfully without the fish sauce. The Jasmine Soup broth was reminiscent of instant soup packets. And the Basil Fried Rice was bland. The Spring rolls and the Peppercorn Eggplant were tasty though. It was a nice experience, but if we're going out for Thai, we wouldn't come back as we have gotten used to better options where the robust Thai spices make the food delectable.

Diner Review №68

Great food and amazing service. Thank you very much.

Diner Review №70

Cute little place with absolutely delicious food.

Diner Review №71

Great food. Their Thai curry duck is crispy and amazing.

Diner Review №72

My first time here tonight and I absolutely will be going back in the future! I ordered the stuffed eggplant and it was utterly fantastic!! A side of white rice that worked perfectly with the sauce. Also had the chicken spring rolls which were also amazing. I was completely satisfied when we left and that was actually my first and only meal of the day. So very good!!

Diner Review №80

ordered Jungle 2 Jungle, and watched Jungle 2 Jungle. great pairing. the food was good, but Tim Allen was better.

Diner Review №81

Very nice service. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food(includes duck), and reasonable pricing, what more can you ask for?

Definitely recommend

Diner Review №82

Order takeout from this place: Green Curry and Jungle 2 Jungle.
Strictly average food. The green curry was OK but had a weird smell to it, Jungle 2 Jungle had veggies that were uncooked and the white rice quantity was way too less.

Only plus pt was that the delivery was quick.
