DO NOT EAT HERE, they served us raw chicken and offered a 5% discount as if that made it better that we might have food poisoning…Our server was more than nice nothing to do with her at all. Do not give these people your money they rush to cook your food and leave it 30% done. There is way better Thai options in the City for certain.
Big fan of Thai food and sometimes hard to find places that have vegetarian curry without fish sauce, but this place does it! Might be my favorite Thai place in Philly! They are also so great about customizing dishes and adding vegetables, etc. Also very good about accommodating allergies. Highly recommend the red curry, chive cakes, spring rolls, and Thai iced coffee!
The food here is so good. Great pad Thai. I also love the crab Rangoon and wings. But don’t get take out from here. It honestly seems like they only give half portions in take out orders. For $18 I would expect a full container of food, but both our pad Thai and drunken noodles were only half filled. And the take out containers aren’t even that large. It’s kind of a rip off. Probably a better place to dine in.
The food here was absolutely DELICIOUS. I loved it so so much. I especially recommend the chicken fried rice and the green tea ice cream. But the service really ruins the experience. There was only 1 other table with us when we were dining, but we had to wait an hour and a half for ICE CREAM. Service is not great to say the least. I definitely undertstand that the workers were trying their best and may have had lots of online orders, but it's not right to leave their customers without checking up at all and practically ignoring them. The food is 10000 stars but service is 1 star.
Fried chicken is good!

Some of the best Thai food I've had in Philadelphia. This place is a hidden gem. They have new owners and a new chef, and I've been blown away. I loved the braised chicken with curry, crab fried rice, the massaman curry, fried whole fish, grilled marinated pork... everything. I've been twice in a short period. Go for the specials and the items that aren't on every American Thai restaurant menu. The owner is very nice, and the staff are happy to help you through the menu.
I loved the soup with rice, I really recommend getting it with the chicken
Small portions for new high prices. Better decor, poor dining!
Stopped in for a quick snack and was not impressed with the service. We ordered several appetizers to include the vegetable crispy gyoza for the menu price of $10. But when the check came it was $10 PLUS an additional $2 for vegetables! The waitress said that was an issue with their POS system but she didn’t mentioned this to me when giving me the check. I had to say something myself. Furthermore, instead of correcting the bill they applied a $2 discount to the bill but the taxes and ALL the additional credit card fees were calculated based on the incorrect bill! Don’t get me started with these businesses that offer a “discount” to people that pay cash…and an additional surcharge for credit card users. It is BS. Tax evaders
Very good Thai food with vegetarian options. Very good service and nice ambience.

Easily the best Thai food in Philly
My FAVORITE pad Thai in Philly!!! This place is always so quick, great portions and the food is HOT when we carry out. I am moving across the city but will for sure be making the drive.
Had a good meal here with my daughter, the mango sticky rice was excellent. Would like to highlight how nice and accommodating they were of me (stroller / baby) offering to help carry the stroller up the stairs, just genuine niceness. The hostess’s kindness really sticks out to me.
This place is a 9.5/10. Best Thai food I’ve had since I was in Thailand. Truly authentic. Super tasty
Best massaman curry I’ve ever had!!
Big fan of Thai food and sometimes hard to find places that have vegetarian curry without fish sauce, but this place does it! Might be my favorite Thai place in Philly! They are also so great about customizing dishes and adding vegetables, etc. Also very good about accommodating allergies. Good dining. My pad Thai was too sweet for my taste but well seasoned.
Came here with my husband - best Thai food in Philly! We ate the fried chive cakes, Tom Kha, Khaoi Soi & Thai Iced Teas. Authentic, so flavorful and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Wonderful service.Mui was terrific . Food delicious fresh and yummy . We we be back.
Erawan is incredible to say the least. We got the Thai iced tea that was so rich and flavorful — best Thai iced tea I’ve ever had. Then the rangoons, pad Thai, pad see eww, and mango sticky rice which were all a delight to the taste buds. Definitely want to come here again to try the curries with some roti on the side. Thank you, Erawan, for being so amazing :D
We ordered Vegan Jain Food and it was very good. One of the best Thai food we had.
Ordered red curry, drunken noodles and basil fried rice.
Service was great and quick!
Amazing place - incredibly kind people !!! I am vegan and it was soooo accommodating. Ty so much everyone !
Decided to pop into this place as I came from the train station. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was really great as well. Got the Thom Yum soup, the Fried Rice with Beef, and a Thai Iced Coffee; all of which were amazing. Thanks so much and I'll be back.
Amazing experience, Fantastic Food, Great Service, big portions, good price, very authentic food. Highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing spot! Hidden gem. Some of the best Thai food I ever had! You can taste it is made with love and care. Service was great and It has small intimate seating which is perfect for a date night spot. My Fiance even got a little elephant key chain at the end of the meal. Will keep this spot in our go to rotation of restaurants.
Food was absolutely delicious! 10/10s all across the board. Service was just as good if not better as food was brought out quickly yet carefully. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel right at home and I would definitely come here again!
Absolutely lovely experience. The service was great and super friendly. Restaurant decorated well. Everything my boyfriend and I ordered tasted amazing. Best curry (green) and crab ragoons (made with real crab too!) I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back
Exceptional food quality and service. This is the place if you want to experience authentic thai cuisine.
We were a party of 9, with reservations at 2pm on a Saturday. The restuarant wasn't super busy at that time. We were sealted promptly. Service was good, although they kept forgetting to bus the tables after appetizers. It's a mom n pop place, so all is forgiven.
Food was good, but I've had better @Bangkok House in Eatontown, NJ.
The food here is the best authentic Thai in the city. The crab Rangoon is the best I have ever had in my life!
One of the best Thai food ever.👍
The best Thai food in Philadelphia, cooked by a beautiful Thai family.
Great food and perfect ambiance! The owner Pat is very sweet. Order on their website or by calling in, as the delivery apps take over 25% of the cost of your order - support great local restaurants like this!
Crab fried rice and golden bags....period!
Best Thai food in tri-state area!
Best Thai food in Philly. Got the drunken noodles and Erawan sampler and everything was amazing. Thai tea was unbelievable. Best Thai food I’ve had since Thailand and I will 1000% be going back often.
Love this place! We've been coming back and we've recently gotten catering from here!
Honestly I went on a Wednesday & it was mostly empty only two people in the Resturant yet I’ve waited 40 mins for a drink?. DONT be fooled service is slow because there is constant Uber eats delieveries being made but it’s not right that’s not a customers problem have more staff . Not only did I spend 2 hours there. The waitress was extremely rude and refused to give me a box to go? She wanted me to put my rice and sauce in small box and I explained I don’t want to mix it she said it’s odd I don’t want my rice mixed with the sauce? How is that odd? I don’t want soggy rice in one packaging. Also as for ur response to this THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN EXCUSE … I served u best I could? Pls I’ve never had a Resturant deny me to go boxes when they offer it
Love the food, everything is reasonable and it’s in a great location.
2022-2023 The BEST Thai food in Philly! DRUNKIN NOODLE, SPRING ROLL AND CHI ICE TEA!!❣🙌✌
Kind service, delicious food.
Stumbled upon this place walking around the city. Not only was the service phenomenal and the recommendations outstanding but the food was incredible. I can mot rave enough about how amazing everything was. A must try in my option. I will 100% be back and bringing my friends. Thank you for the hospitality.
I came to Erawan last year with my brother & SIL after they suggested on coming here. They've been here before, and so I had no complaints. Although I didn't use this, a yelp check in gets you a free app, dessert, or salad if you spend $50.
We came on a late Sunday around 8:30 pm and waited only about 5 mins. The customer service is great as the hostess and waitresses check on you very often. I ordered a Thai Iced tea to start off. Although I love Thai iced Tea and it takes A LOT for me to not like it, this one was okay. It seemed very watered down due to ice or maybe there was ice already in it before. Not sure, but I didn't enjoy it that much. For our entrees, we ordered green curry, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles all veggies + tofu.
Green Curry was really great. Seemed a bit watery to me though. The pad thai and drunken noodles were both tasty, but I didn't like their tofu. It was too soft and I like it when they are either fried a bit or crispy. All in all, it was a good meal but don't plan on returning.
Food tasted as if they forgot to add flavour
Hands down, best Thai in the area! Love love love Erawan. Usually order shrimp pad Thai and chicken panang with a thai tea. Absolutely delicious!
Just the best place to be, food is great, music is great, vibe is great. Overall, excellent place to spend time.
We have ordered a few times from this place. One of the best Thai food. They strive to accommodate your special instructions especially you are Indian vegetarian who don't eat meat. They will make sure that you get your dishes w/o fish/duck/ oyster sauce. Yet the food is flavorful.
They have one person working here , take out is a nightmare and the door is locked , no one answers the phone . Prepare to sit and wait 20+ minutes once they realize you are at the door waiting. Nightmare. Avoid at all costs
The food is fine, but they really need to work on being more accurate with their estimated completion times. There is ALWAYS a crowd here waiting because of how slow the service is and it always takes much longer than they tell you. They called one minute before our pickup time to tell us they were out of something. More planning would be nice. Not trying to libel this place, I’m only offering constructive criticism.
Agreed with the other recent review that food is average. I also waited an additional 20 mins outside when they mentioned the order was going to be ready in 10 mins. Not going back.
Nice Thai cuisines
Food is extremely average. Also had to wait an extra 25 min for pickup when I got there. Drunken noodles had less noodles than typical Thai places and was not spicy at all even though I ordered the spiciest option. Massaman curry was lacking consistency and potatoes.
Ordering and getting our food was simple with pleasant service. The appetizer platter and panang curry were both good dishes. However the pad kee mao (drunken noodle) we received was a flop, with little sauce in the noodles and the Thai basil leaves were much more bitter than expected, similar to escarole.
Placed an order online and my boyfriend went to go pick it up. He gave them my name and they said I had to call them or else they wouldn’t give him the food.
I call the restaurant and tell them my boyfriend is there to pick up the order and the woman was extremely rude, yelled at me for calling and said he already got the food and hung up. My boyfriend had to wait outside for ten more minutes before they finally let him take the food.
All of this hassle and rude attitude for food that is not worth it at all. Very bland, over cooked rice and noodles and small portions for the price.
We will not be going back
Okay so a 1 because I didn’t get my food.
I ordered at 5 and then we walked all the way over and got there at 5:40 to pick up. Once I got there we called the number to get our food. No one answered. Then I got an email saying our order was cancelled (40 minutes after placing the order) and that they decided to close early.
I was very hungry and didn’t get the food. It looks good but I won’t go back after that.
I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re hungry.
No picture because I got no food haha.
It takes them over 1 hr to make terrible food. The portion is super small for what you pay for. Thai iced tea is terrible too. You can tell they make the drink from expired powder. Will never order again.
The food here is AMAZING! I didn't like Thai food in the past due to bad experiences at other restaurants. However, I wanted to give this place a try. The first thing I got was the Green Curry with beef and shrimp and medium spiciness. Oh my goodness! Soooooooo good!
The next thing I got was the Exotic Pork (wild boar) with shrimp and medium spiciness. Let me tell you! This place has made me love Thai food now!!! Everything tasted super fresh and the medium spiciness was perfect and not too much to overpower the dish.
The wild boar in the dish was AMAZING as was the shrimp. There was also this herb in there that tasted like fresh pepper, oh my it was tasty!
And the wonton soup..... Hey Erawan, if you are reading this, you need to make this bigger and offer it as a main dish! It was sooooooooooooo good! The broth was perfect, and all the veggies were very fresh. And the wontons were absolutely amazing!
5 stars to this place! And the lady that answers the phone has always been super nice!
Food very good customer service excellent..golden crispy fresh
I ordered a medium spicy pad Thai for 15 dollars. And just look at this color, no sauce no spicy level at all.
This restaurant has done nothing to improve their pick-up service over the last 8 months during the pandemic. I was told my food was done 25 minutes before it was actually done and told “I shouldn’t have used a third party app”. When you go there to pick up your food, the door is locked with no instruction to call and with no number posted on the door. (If you look up from this perspective the phone number is hidden from your view on their sign). Food is good but do better at pick-up service, guys. This is constructive criticism.
Horrible customer service. I order some
Food and it was never delivered. I tried to contact the restaurant but they never responded. Never Again. Stay away from this place. I would give them
ZERO stars if I could.
Good place to stop by for a quick and cheap lunch if you’re in the area, but not the best Thai food obviously. Also not the best interior decor, but that’s okay because the service was good.
Delicious but too small portions
Fast service and the food is good
Good location and food selection. Atmosphere is very inviting, there's plenty of seating available and the service is fast.
Portions are very small. Especially for the price.Vic's have the same prices but they give way more food
I loveeee this place! I can’t wait to go back! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is dope! Definitely try this place out!
Our favorite Thai in the city. Probably come here every other week or more! We love the pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, curry, and the soups and more. Plus the staff is super accommodating to dietary needs!
Excellent food and excellent prices. Nice lunch spot.
Tried a few curries and a soup (was essentially just coconut milk), massive fail. Thai food is difficult to get wrong, yet the flavours were way off.
My daughter and I have come here several times and have always enjoyed our visit the food is consistently good the service is average but the atmosphere is also Pleasant and enjoyable will be back
The first time I ate here the food was OK. Ordered delivery the next time and it was awful. Super bland.
You must try the duck fried rice here.. this place is absolutely fantastic
Nothing special. I ordered chicken pad Thai and there was more tofu in it than chicken. I thought $13+ for dish was fairly pricey considering portions weren’t anything to write home about. Very bland, as well.
Great food for a decent price
Worst service. We waited for 1 and half hour for our take out order. The waitress was not even concerned.
Don't go here if you want your food served in reasonable amount of time
Poor service
Best Thai food in the city.
Went there for a few different meals. Didn’t really get the pics because we were really enjoying ourselves. Small and cute walk up restaurant tucked away in the city. Best Thai tea I’ve ever had. I highly recommend to anyone especially the waitress/server who was very sweet and kind and remembered us. Even took photos for us.
Good service. Average food
They have a fantastic lunch deal with an app+entree for around $10. Solid thai food.
The food was delicious and the server was friendly and patient. It is a very nice neighborhood place with affordable take out. Five of us ate in, BYOB, for a little over $100.
This place is as Thai as it gets. Delicious traditional food, nice people, and good prices for big portions. Gotta love that it's owned and operated by native people and not just another rich white folk owned pretentious and fancy restaurant. What the hell else you need to know?
Love Thai food. Please visit this place. Nice menu, small and interesting.
5 star!!!!
Hot and spicy
Everything was a delight. I had Tom Yum soup, Pineapple Yellow Curry and finished with Green Tea ice cream. All were full of rich Thai flavors and spiced to perfection. BYOB if you take your meal with alcohol.
The place is well kept and the servers are professional. But the food wasn’t great.
Good value at lunch.
Erawan is a tried and true place. I've been going here for a long time and it has always been consistent. It's a little dated inside but the food is good.
Great food and location!
Good food and friendly staff. They have lot of vegan options on the menu.
Amazing food at reasonable prices. Absolutely loved the food.
The best fried rice I’ve ever had.
Decent BYOB Thai, but not quite the 5 star rating as our fav place, Sawtadee!
Everytime I order takeout or have to reserve a hotel room, I always ask them to "Please draw a picture of a dinosaur". It shows that they actually read the special instructions and to hopefully give them a laugh.
Erawan gave me this beautiful artwork the other night! Plus the food was awesome too :)
Try the papaya salad and their dumplings.
It was okay, I felt that though the flavors were good in the entrees but it wasn't great..their apps were just ehhh...a few blocks away is smile cafe and JJ thai which I believe is a better experience.
Ordered ahead. Was told 20 minutes. After waiting an additional half hour and being told that my food was still not cooked yet, I left. Not trying them again..
Great food and awesome lunch specials. Service can be a little slow during weekday lunchtime. Good veg options.
Food was delicious and the menu is extensive. Service was timely and attentive. Steady flow of take-out/delivery orders showed the popularity of this place even on a Sunday night. Slight drawback is the tight seating arrangement but that's somewhat expected...
Not consistent. same dishes completely good or bad week to week. more expensive then other local restaurants.
Went for lunch and it was mediocre. The food was passable but there are better options around. Food was lacking some of the exciting flavors I'm accustomed to with Thai
The place is nice and the waiter she was really nice. But the food is not as good as it should had been. For the price you pay and the food do not go together at all.
Great location for me a block from the Walnut Street Bridge. Love going here for lunch. Chicken satay, Panang curry.
Favorite Thai food I've ever had.
Food was decent but a little pricey for a place like this.
Pineapple fried rice was about 3.75 stars of 5
Stellar service, very good food, and this coming from someone who doesn't particularly like Thai food. Be advised, they are BYOB.
Nice place, excellent food, good prices
Fast service, good food, good prices. Yummmmmy
LOVE THIS PLACE
I visited this restaurant about a month ago and while I think the lunch specials are priced only slightly higher than comparable places, the service unfortunately could have been better. I ordered the shrimp curry and it wasn't bad. I did have to wait for 5 minutes though, for another bowl of rice.
The restaurant was really crowded and there was only one server that day.
Decent
Very good customer service and food! Did not have a reservation and was initially told no table was available. However, hostess said next reservation was an hour later so we could have that table. Food was excellent! Chicken pineapple fried had lots of chicken and great taste. Pad See Ew, had a good sauce and good flavor. The eggrolls were great. Would return!
This restaurant doesn't have napkins. The dishes (Basil Supreme with tofu and Pad Thai with chicken) were not tasty and too small for their cost.
Do not recommend this place if you are new to Thai Cuisine. This would ruin it for you.
We won't come back.
My favorite thai place In the city!
food is 7/10 but atmosphere and incredibly sweet service makes me come back every time. great lunch and dinner specials. enjoy :D
