Voted Best Thai Food in Philly in 2024 by Philadelphia Inquirer!
I placed an order through Uber Eats and was pleased to see some nice offers, which made the meal even more affordable. I decided to try the Pad See Ew with beef, and I have to say, the portion size was huge! It was really satisfying, and I couldn’t even finish it. The dish itself was tasty, with flavorful beef and perfectly cooked noodles.
I also ordered sticky rice with mango, which I thought was pretty good, especially since I'm new to Thai food. However, there was a white sauce in the middle of the rice that kind of turned me off. It wasn’t to my taste, so I ended up not finishing it.
One downside was that I had it delivered to my hotel, and I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t include utensils in my order. It kind of defeated the purpose of delivery, as I had to go out and search for utensils.
Despite that, the food itself was solid, and I'd probably give them another try, especially with the good offers on Uber Eats.
Circles Thai has been my go-to delivery and takeout restaurant for many years and consistently delivers quality food and good quantity.
Last week I placed a large order the night of the Eagles Super Bowl parade and ended up not having the meal delivered for several hours, likely due to the crazy day and changes to SEPTA service.
Despite this inconvenience, the restaurant persisted to deliver my full order, and refunded me 100% of my order amount without me requesting that refund. I did not expect this level of service, and will remain a loyal customer for tasty Thai food.
We’ve always had a positive experience dining in. However, this time when I placed my usual order on the phone they charged me $3 for NO PROTEIN. Pad Kee Mow is $14 on the menu but they upcharged me when I just wanted veggies. I even tried to explain when I went to pick up. The guy said veggies is extra $3.. ridiculous
I order from Circles Thai 1-2 times a week because the food is just that good. A curry dish or a stir-fry is always a solid choice, but the papaya salad is a must! Delivery is quick, and everything arrives fresh and delicious. A go-to spot for Thai in Northern Liberties.

Best Thai food in the city
The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Tom kah gai and the Penang curry with beef. It was undoubtedly the best Penang I’ve had, definitely the tenderest beef I’ve eaten at a restaurant. The service was excellent, the waitress could not have been any lovelier. Awesome place in a cute and eclectic neighborhood.
Amazing food vibes and service
Asked for Pad Thai without fish sauce and was served a pad thai with fish sauce - did not take it off the bill.
Ordered a stir fry, the rice was undercooked and the veggies were salty.
Would not recommend.
Always love take out from here and came in for the first time! Never disappoints!
One of the best spots to go to eat in northern liberties!
We love this Thai spot. It’s cozy, well decorated, the food is the best Thai around. I highly recommend the Chicken Massaman and Roti and my husband loves the duck Pad Thai. Seriously so delicious!
amazing staff and food. lots of gluten free options and they were willing to make some dishes gluten free as well!
Zeer lekker en vriendelijke bediening
This is by far the best Thai place in Philly. The food is consistently delicious, the service is excellent. We come here often, at least every other week, and the owners/servers always remember us. I highly recommend the pad Thai, chicken masaman and roti, Thai tea, crispy tofu, and probably anything else on the menu.
Amazing Penang curry
🍛
Best thai in Nolibs - definitely get the cashew stir fry or massaman curry 😋
Please bring back the lunch special!

We love circles Thai! Best Thai food around, and great service, for both dine in and take out.
Miss the Friday lunch special, but end up going there for dinner now.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Food is incredible, service is amazing, atmosphere is so good. Will definitely be back. The margret duck salad was insane.
My time at this restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed the well-made food and the ambiance of the place. This was my first time coming to a restaurant that allowed you to bring your alcohol to the place, and I loved it.
Additional Note:
For spice enthusiasts, this restaurant offers unique flexibility. You can adjust the spice level of your dish on a scale of 1 to 5, allowing you to truly customize your dining experience.
I recommend getting it at levels 4 or 5 for those who like spicy food. I asked for a level of 3 for spice, and the food tasted mild.
Food is always delicious, I've had takeout and the one time I ate in was also positive. A little pricy for the quantity but not bad and tastes great
The food was salty, and looked sad and the vegetables were burn.
Never disappointed every time I go.
The food was very delicious. And the atmosphere was very nice.
General Thai Chicken
The Summer Rolls gives me life force. It's good food, affordable, and the staff is nice. Which to me equals 10/10 , any negative reviews are wonk and should be ignored
The best Thai we’ve had in Philly so far. Friendly service.
Found this place by accident. So glad I did! The food, service & atmosphere were all incredible. I’ve been trying to find a place I could compare to the food I had while in Thailand & this was probably the closest you can get to authentic flavors in the city! That I’ve tried atleast. We ordered coconut soup with chicken (level 2 spice added) chicken satay, panang curry with shrimp, & the pad kee mao. Everything was soooo delicious & had the perfect amount of spice to it. I loved that you could pick how spicy you want your food to be. Can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes!
Food excellent
There was a mishap with my DoorDash order and I called the restaurant. They were so kind and apologetic and sent me my meal with an extra thai tea. It was so sweet and the hostess I spoke with on the phone was so kind and helpful! Highly recommend them for great food and great service.
Finally a place that offers maximum spice. Ask for Thai spice. Pad kee Mao. Thank you for the spicy!
Lovely inside. Friendly wait staff, our dishes were good but not quite "very good" (chicken pad thai and pad kee mao w/tofu) if that's a rating scale?
We checked the outside menu for lunch (saturday, 1pm) and saw the prices for the dishes we wanted. $13 each. We sat alone in the restaurant at this hour, but one guest came for a take-out.
On the menu once seated, our same two dishes on the lunch menu were $14. Ok we said, and ordered. No customers, so no real attention was paid us, though we did not need any assistance. No water refill, for example. I had to stand and ask for the bill, which did not trouble me either.
At the time of payment, both our dishes were charged $17 a dish!
From $13, to $14 to $17. I paid, and we left. I did not confront the waiter or ask for an explanation. I am at a loss to understand why the pricing should be so fluid: especially since its raised $4 per plate over the posted at the window price.
I tried calling when i returned home. The number at Circles website goes straight to voicemail.
Hopefully management can offer an answer here on this review.
This place slaps. Only problem I have is that it’s too hard to decide what I want to order, because it’s all so good.
Really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. The roast duck was the star of our meal, but everything we had was delightful and good sized portions
Nice quiet location perfect for a first date! Good service and the food is awesome!
The Thai coffee and lunch specials on Friday are my go to!
Love this place so much. One of my favorite Thai restaurants I've been to. They make an incredible peanut sauce and their noodle dishes are to die for. I'm glad I live nearby, I get takeout all the time and the staff is always extremely friendly. Never disappointed by Circles and I always take my friends here when they're in town to visit -- they always LOVE it. Highly highly recommend!
Great food, very generous portions, and wonderful service.
We had a lovely and tasty meal in elegant, relaxing atmosphere. Presentation of meal is a work of art!
Best Thai cuisine I had ever had the food was great I totally recommend to anyone who want to eat this food. The Customer service is excellent they are very nice and friendly and the Thai tea is very good and the duck curry is very good. Will totally come back for more 👀✨✨✨✨
Ordered delivery and food arrived very quickly without any issues. Ordered General Thai chicken and cheese steak rolls and both were overcooked. Chicken was dried out and half of the meal wasn’t edible. Rolls were dry inside and out.
Fried rice was good.
We order frequently and have never had this issue before therefore wanted to share this information to hopefully correct any issues.
Tasted like Chinese take out Thai foods 😭😭😭. My Thai foods is ruined
The food I ordered was tasty, but left a lot to be desired. It was different overseas.
Great experience ordering delivery on a Saturday night!! Food came 20 minutes earlier than expected and took less than an hour from when order was placed. Portion sizes are great for Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mow and Thai roll order came with 4 rolls. Highly recommend, will be ordering again!
The food was AMAZING!!!!!! Definitely ordering from them again
You could literally not find a better cooked chicken wing, come eat here to ascend
Great authentic Thai food. Also offers seitan in curries and noodle dishes for a vegan meaty dish. Highly recommend
Terrific Thai! Best dumplings/potstickers I’ve ever had. Jack is great. Awesome all-around.
Mushy noodles. Terrible flavor. Ordered “Thai spicy” and it was so bland, I’ve served spicier food to my baby.
Literally this place was amazing, and the service was a delight!
amazing food but it destroys my stomach. Still want more though
Insanely good Thai food. I have only ever ordered takeout here but have been consistently blown away by the depth of flavors and spices that their dishes have. Meat is really tender and the vegetables are fresh. Highly recommend
Excellent food! Loved the pineapple fried rice
Their foods are incredibly delicious! Highly recommend the red curry duck and mango sticky rice. Will definitely come back in the future!
We’ve been ordering for years, it was great. But last few orders, skimping out on the meat. Our chicken fried rice had no chicken at all. And the beef pad Thai had three small pieces of over cooked beef.
Skimping on meat is super lame and we won’t be reordering. Bad way to save a couple bucks but lose lifelong customers
Enjoyed the Thai rice soup and the Pad see ew entree
Food was delicious, staff was super friendly and there was very little wait time. I highly recommend.
Super delicious with five-star service!!!! This is our new go-to Thai spot!
Phenomenal food, great portions, always amazed by every meal from these wonderful folks. Perfect for both dine-in and takeout.
The worse pad thai I've ever had. Dry and hard. My stomach is doing back flips as I write this comment🤮
The atmosphere is light and joyous. The food is so tasty and if spice is what you like you'll find it here. The owner and staff make you feel at home. Look no further than circles when you're in no lib!
My favorite place in the neighborhood for Thai food. All their noodle dishes are amazing!
incredibly good thai food with really generous service. great thai tea! After a huge meal, I had a few leftovers and they seemed concerned that I didn't finish everything and asked if I liked it, I told them I did! rarely do restaurants care that much to ensure satisfaction and so, it really impressed me
I live in the area and this is my go-to Thai restaurant.
The portion sizes are the best I've ever had at a Thai restaurant and the food is delicious. I've gotten pad see ew, pad kee mao, pad thai, and curry puffs. They are all delicious and I'll continue to go here very often.
Circles Thai, please keep your portion sizes the way they are. It's amazing!
They cannot follow orders made on the phone! Make sure to double check your order before you leave the restaurant. Food is good but service is below average.
Did a takeout of veg yellow curry and fried rice, both tasted excellent with just the right amount of spice
Will definitely order again
Great appetizers and the pad woon sen with chicken always hits the spot!
Drunken noodles were pretty good and spice levels were there. They were also very catering towards allergies. Service was good and helpful. It was nice.
Ate here recently. Had a delicious duck curry and Thai coffee. They asked me to specify a spice level for my food, 1-5. I asked for a 5 and said I wanted to cry. The food that came out was only mildly spicy. Next time, I think I need to be clear not to hold back. Still, the duck had tons of flavor and great texture, and the sauce was amazing. I appreciate that they have a heat scale, but if they aren’t going to trust their customers’ tolerance, I’d rather them be up front that they’re not going to make it truly spicy. This is a common issue, though, so not enough of a problem to detract a star from an otherwise wonderful meal and experience.
Circles provides delectable , and ambrosial food that everyone should acquire . It has a wide assortment of choices , and all the food has decent intensity and zest . It was introduced well , and a plenty of sauces went with the food. Moreover , the feel was uncommon , the spot was enriched with loads of sculptures and embellishments . Anyway , the lights were all in all too faint , and made it hard to see . The waiters , and individuals working at the eatery were affable , and charming. Regardless of its ambiance it is great.
First time 4 Thai.Restaurant was nicely appointed, meal was beautifully presented.Unfortunately, the meal didn't taste as good as it looked.Servers were attentive and efficient. All in all,a nice evening out.
Food is SO tasty!! And service is wonderful. I love how friendly their menu is to people with Celiac disease, too :)
Exceptional thai food. I'll definitely be back.
Yummy food. Our GF family member found some things that she loved. Food was great. Definitely a great night out.
Circles Thai has been my go-to spot since 2018. Their food is always on point, the vibe is always right, and the staff are always friendly. One of my favorite spots in Philly hands down!
Food is really good but got food poisoning 3 hours later. I don’t really went to come back because of this but if you are willing to risk your stomach for good food this is a place for you. Did not want to give this place a really low rating.
Wow what a treat… Ate here the other night with a bunch of friends… Atmosphere calm but fun.
Staff extremely friendly and efficient.
Food is delicious… Love the flat noodles and the vegetarian dumplings are especially good… (and I’m not a vegetarian.) Price is decent and portions good… You won’t be disappointed… Highly recommend…
They have a very good dish called Pad kee mow(Drunken noodles). The service is great and prices very good.
Always good Food + Jack the manager and all staff are amazing
Their pumpkin curry was devine, creamy and flavorful. Well balanced spice with flavor. Really enjoyed the salmon pad thai, properly cooked salmon and the noodles were really good as well as the veggies.
They have great curry dishes. Delivery is always quick.
Best Thai I’ve had in the city. I love the Pad King… a ginger garlic sauce. Sooo delicious! Drown from Germantown to get food from here. Love the new look in the restaurant, miss the pillows in bench. Gave a cultural vibe.
Love this place so I didn’t want to give it too low of a review, but be weary as a vegetarian. I’ve ordered plenty of times, the vegetarian cheesesteaks rolls are my favorite; however when I ordered noodles with no protein I received chicken. I called and got a refund the replaced the order with a note saying “no meat please” and received chicken a second time. This time I spoke to a manager and they assured me they would get me the right order. After the third time I just didn’t eat it out of fear. I was provided spring rolls and compensation but the lack of attention to detail was concerning.
Love their food!
Absolutely delicious!!
Great lunch specials!
First time eating-in here. Amazing service. Generous portions. Very fresh. Always on the spicier side (which I like). A rare, authentic place for Thai.
Unique and tasty
Original plan was to try Baan Thai but they were closed for some reason so we came to circle Thai. Did not disappoint!
Spice level so amazingly hot, lived up to the “hot” name.
Appetizer crab and pork dumpling was so plump and good, summer roll was ok.
Pad see ew and pad kee mow both so on point, seafood is really good and the vegetables r crunchy.
Thai tea 8/10. Server lady was really nice too. Atmosphere 10/10
Got delivery over the weekend. It was wonderful. The flavors were incredible and the spicy items had some serious heat! Hot is truly hot which I appreciate. Green curry was excellent, lots of veggies and chicken. Also had penang curry (hot) and it was fantastic. Enjoyed the leftovers the next day. This place has definitely improved and sped up order times as well! Give them a try today!! I will be ordering again very soon. Thank you Circles Thai No Libs!!
Still one of the best Thai places in the city. Curries are really good.
Delicious and affordable. Great vegan options with tofu and seitan. Can ask for spiciness level out of 5, I found 4 to be comfortable as a spice addict.
Wonderful food and very friendly staff specifically the waitress/hostess Bouquet. Highly recommend.
Ordered at about 8:55 on a Sunday night even though they close at 9:30. I had a pleasant experience with the woman who took my order. She was very nice and had great customer service skills. I order the green chicken curry and the red beef curry both of them flavored Thai hot. We also got the “ vegetable spring rolls”. I wanted the ones that had the clear wrap. I even confirmed this over the phone with the woman who took my order and she told me they were the ones I wanted. But what I got was a deep fried eggroll which was disappointing. Both curries were amazing and really spicy (which we love) . Me and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed them. He even said it was the closest thing to the curry he tasted when he went to Thailand. So we would order from here again but not get the “spring roll”.
The thai spring roll is good and crispy well made but nothing special. The tofu corn fritter is cheessy with a bit of sweetness from makes it a delightful treat. The Roasted Rohan duck curry has good portion of duck with aromaic curry. Khao mok Gai not as good but definetly a good try as well.
Thai food taken to another level ! Circles provided mouthwatering , and ambrosial food that is a must have . It has a wide variety of options , and all the food has nice heat and spice . It was presented well , and a plethora of condiments accompanied the food. Furthermore , the ambience was exceptional , the place was decorated with lots of statues and accessories . However , the lights were a bit too dim , and made it hard to see . The servers , and the people working at the restaurant were amiable , and pleasant . Overall , this place is amazing and worth going to !
Awesome thai food and great owners and employees
In my opinion, the best Thai food you can get in the city. Foods always fresh and consistent. Just be careful with requesting dishes to be spicy, they don't play games here. As a spicey food fanatic, I love that they don't hold back any punches.
Asked for medium spicy. Got the spiciest pad Thai ever. I’m eating it and crying. Threw half of it away. I will never order anything here...
I always great food. Chill atmosphere. BYOB which I like.. Great service..
Best Thai I’ve had!
Love the atmosphere and food! Service has always been excellent from the many times I’ve come here. From the Thai tea to the pad Thai, it’s my go-to place when I’m craving authentic Thai food.
had amazing dinner here. great servers and the food was awesome . i went for the "thai spice" for my entre which was bearable surprisingly. don't let spicy food go down the "wrong tube" as it required me to go outside to walk it off. still super enjoyed my meal.
Excellent pad kee mao. Medium was definitely at the top of my spice comfort level, just under when your face starts sweating and you can't taste anything anymore. Also very generous with the protein which is nice. My favorite Thai place in the area! (If I'm in South Philly I go for Ratchada).
Recommend their Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice
Circles Thai is hands-down my favorite place for Thai! I 10/10 recommend
Food is really great! The selection of dishes are delicious. Their crab fried rice and plump chunks of crabmeat, not imitation in abundance. If you love Thai this is the place to get it.
This place is incredible. Get the crab fried rice (tons of crab) and the red curry w tofu, fed me for like 5 meals
I ordered the chicken pad thai from here twice and it was solid. It was a bit two sweet for my liking the second time but not bad at all. Prices are reasonable and the delivery came pretty quickly.
Nice and clean
Friendly staff
So I order food i placed one order of dumplings and spring rolls also a beef noodle dish i can not remember what its called and said delivery three different times. So 45 minutes later I get a call from them asking if we are going to pick the food up we told them we where ordering delivery. Then the food gets here luke warm with a bill for 50$ they decided to put in 4 orders of dumplings along with the other stuff. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food wasn't bad. Ps if u for some reason order here after reading this DONT get the seafood. At first I was going to order calamari with it instead of beef the person said we don't make it like that. Now I work in the restaurant industry and most places with fresh seafood would just not put the other seafood. Unless it was frozen in a bag then they would say that. Now I dont know how there food tasted per covid might have been better idk
First time ordering and expectations were far exceeded. The food was excellent. Each dish prepared was fresh, flavorful and authentic. Will be a repeat customer for sure!
I think I am in love with this Thai place. There food is delicious.
A very varied menu, the most friendly staff, cozy interior, delicious food! I liked everything in this restaurant!
Serious heat. Some of the best Thai food in any major city in the us.
The pad Thai is really good but the portion size is ridiculous. Like 10 bites and you’re finished. For 14 dollars it should be bigger
