Szechuan, Malaysian and Thai fusion.
Decent food with a bit of Asian variety. Vegetarian options are good, depending on whether or not they cook separately from the grill (cross-meat/vegan contamination ). Easy parking is accessible during the evening hours. In-house restaurant seating is roomy and somewhat cozy but manageable... Date night location... possibly.
Worth the try 💯
Just ok. The photos on the menu look nothing like the food delivered. Pad Thai is dry and without any vegetables; crab Rangoon is a horrible disgrace. Wontons should be light and folded like little stars like the photo. Instead they gave me overly cooked, burned empanadas with dry cream cheese inside. I have no idea how this place has a 4.8 rating. If the company wants to change their crab Rangoon recipe to be more appropriate, and give me a free order, I’ll delete this review. It’s $8 and was maybe worth $1 or $2. Otherwise, please allow a better business to occupy this spot on prime Baltimore avenue. Sorry.
As a Malaysian, I was curious how well they handle the Malaysian side of the menu. The kari kering or dry curry is excellent with a keen fragrance. It's stir-fried style, so no gravy but we still want to sop up all the sauce. The mentega shrimp was decadent and delicious. Best eat it at the restaurant, ideally as appertizer with 3 friends. It is that rich and will not travel well. And the fried egg treatment is best with shrimp. On the Sichuan side, the lotus root is deliciously crunchy with a slight mouth-puckering flavor from the pickled veg. The cold marinated, spicy beef tendon and tripe is as good as any I've had elsewhere.
I’m an incredibly picky eater, but all four dishes my group and I bought were absolutely delicious and I definitely would order again!
We got the M4 Sizzling Soft Tofu, T7 Pad Thai, M10 Sizzling Black Pepper Beef, and the M1 Stir Fry Malaysian Dry Curry (my favorite). The dishes were incredibly flavorful, the meat was cooked beautifully, and the presentation was spectacular.
Regrettably, we were all very hungry before we even got to the restaurant so as soon as the food arrived (which didn’t take long at all) we immediately started eating so I only have a photo of the sizzling soft tofu that was most certainly sizzling! I definitely recommend anyone try this place, even the picky eaters!
This place was interesting, you sit down and order your food through a phone app, it was pretty easy to figure out but new to me. I had the salt and pepper chicken, it was so good! Very crispy and flavorful, not too spicy. It was a good sized portion too. The staff was nice and brought food out quickly.
I was so sad after the closing of Chili Garden that it took me awhile to try this place, but, it’s delicious! I’ve been twice for dine in and loved most of the things I’ve gotten. The Malaysian wide stir fry noodles are so savory and sort of smoky/lightly charred. Yum. The Sichuan dry fried chicken was surprisingly light and so crispy.
The food is excellent, a welcome addition to the neighborhood. There can be a bit of a wait for takeout orders but the food is always extremely hot and fresh. It’s not as cheap as the lunch specials at an American Chinese restaurant, but it’s also much higher quality food.
And to the reviewer who tanked her review based on a dry crab rangoon: if you’re judging a place like this on crab rangoon, that’s on you.
I think the Malaysian 5-star comments here must be from folks who either never truly grow up in Malaysia (Malaysian-wannabes) or don't know much about Malaysian culinary: the sort of "all food are the same around the world, don't judge" retarded ideology.
That said, CKT is ok. Typical Chinese/Fuzhounese copy. But I would add that the taste, unlike many cheap chinese imitations of Malaysian dishes, is there to make you want to finish. Must be using lots of MSG, Uncle Roger would be proud. I wouldn't mind returning, but will other other dishes that I haven't tried.
The key to Malaysian frying is not just msg. Primary ingredient is wok-hay, which is obviously lacking in many China imitation, and this is no exception.

Love their food!! So many tasty and unique options. I hope they stick around for a long time!!
I hardly ever write reviews, but this place deserves some praise. I was sad when Chili Garden closed, but I've ordered take out from here several times now and everything has been been delicious (better than Chili Garden, in my opinion). I'm thrilled to have another great restaurant in the neighborhood!

The crispy cucumbers, scallion pancakes, pad thai, and green curry are excellent and reasonable prices.

Love the fresh vegetables included in the dishes. Definitely made with love.

This place is great!! The hosts are so nice, scallion pancakes are some of the best I’ve had!! I don’t know why it’s empty sometimes because it’s so good!!
Amazing food!
Very good
Food was very good needless to say but the customer service was impeccable. The server was very kind and checked up on us multiple times. You don’t see good customer service in an Asian establishments but this was such a breath of fresh air. Food is very tasty and portions were big and very reasonable price. Good place for quick grab and take out.
The Thai wings are the best wings I’ve had in Philly. And I’ve had a lot of wings
Came here with my sister from out of town and we loved it! I’ve never seen it before walking on Baltimore Ave but I’ve been missing out! I ordered the braised pork belly, it was fantastic, tender, and a nice savory sauce. Not to mention, a great price of $18 for a a two person serving of pork belly, and I can eat but I couldn’t finish it myself. We also got a curry tofu dish which was phenomenal, reminded me of a Thai yellow curry flavor. The menu has a plethora of options, when you dine in you order on the QR code but a server is there to drop your food and get you anything else you may need. You can also pay through the QR code. Chill, casual atmosphere inside. They have Malaysian, Thai and Sichuan cuisine. Amazing to achieve so many diverse food items at high quality!
Food was spectacularly good! Certainly the best Malaysian food in Philadelphia; maybe the best Szechuan!
All around solid place. Great food, people are nice, and service is efficient.
Every dish was great. Fried tofu was awesome. Service was impeccable. Would recommend and will be back.
Good take out spot. Get the dan dan noodles and chili dumplings! Cheaper than the Handy Nasty
Wonderful food and good serving sizes. Fast service. The sizzling black pepper beef was AMAZING!! The meat was cooked very well and a dish I’ll be thinking about for awhile. 😋
The food here exceeded my expectations! Definitely recommend.
Solidly delicious Amazing lamb cumin!
Insanely good. A cozy local joint that has great portions and food. Recommend the Malaysian portion of the menu, you can tell they care about their craft and I’m cheering for them to succeed.
Absolutely delicious with excellent, quick service
Seriously great food.
Went here for a delivery. They decided to give me a thumbs down in the app for no apparent reason. Was it because I'm black? Seriously. Little do they know I'm their neighbor by one block. Smh
The environment was relaxing, the food was great, and it was reasonably priced. Will definitely return to try more of their menu
Great authentic food, the aroma and fragrance enhances the taste very well. They have four different cuisine selections and does them each very well. I especially loved the stir fry malaysian curry and sizzling soft tofu. Dug in too fast before remembering to take a picture! Also got the pad thai and sizzling pepper steak.

I hate leaving negative reviews but feel I must. I finally had a chance to try this new bright and clean Sichuan and Thai place around the corner. I missed the Toast ordering kiosk tucked in the corner and ordered directly from a staff person (who may have been the owner; I didn’t ask). They were super friendly and didn’t chastise me for not using the kiosk. The Thai red curry with white rice on the side was beautifully presented but very lightly spiced and somewhat gluey. I doctored it with Sriracha and lime at home and salted the apparently unsalted rice. Five stars for service, atmosphere, and speed, but only three for food.
I want this new neighborhood place to make it. I will go back to try something from the Sichuan portion of the menu.
When I saw that Chili Garden was closing, I was worried. I'm not worried anymore. This place is great, and their lunch special is a generous portion and comes with a side soup. Looking forward to trying more of their menu soon.
so good!!! great lunch specials!

i was worried about how this restaurant would measure up to chili garden but halfway through our meal, my husband and i both agreed that the meal we got (dry chili pepper chicken wings and pork pad see ew) was one of the best meals in philly. the wings were crispy, salty, umami, and gave us that delightful tongue numbing sensation from the szechuan peppercorns. the pad see ew was perfectly balanced savory and sweet, and together, they were *chef's kiss.* looking forward to ordering from here all the time.
So happy to have tried a new west philly favorite. The food was great on taste, quality, portion size and cost. The table service was warm and welcoming. The dining room is small but has a great vibe coming from its decor and calming music. Overall a great place with great staff and food!
Love the way they stir fry Chinese broccoli you can taste the smoky wok flavor yummy yum.
The Chili Oil Dumplings hit the spot!
Really loved the cumin style stir fry chicken and stir fry dry Malaysian tofu curry. We picked up our order but really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and plan to eat in soon. Excited to have a Szechuan & Malay restaurant in this part of West Philly!
I ordered the Cumin Stir Fry dish to go, and it was very delicious. The quality was very similar to Chili Garden, the resturant in this space before. I will definitely order from here again
I got the 香辣羊排 "D24 Lamb Ribs Stir Fry W.
Chili Pepper" and it was delicious!
Their ordering system makes it super easy to split the tab, as you can order and pay for your portion right from your phone.
Totally legit Malaysian cuisine! Will have to try their Sichuan cuisine next. More to come.
