Thai restaurants
We just left! Everything from start to finish was delicious. The owner was so sweet, friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding. Definitely recommend the Tom Yum Soup (hot and sour) and the Drunken noodles which I got with pork and medium spice. If you like spicy, you will not be disappointed. I will be back! Everyone needs to get their Thai on at Ditmars Thai
We stopped by this local Thai restaurant with great reviews and legit photos.
We ordered the combo appetizer, which was a perfect sample starter to share for two, and the curry puffs are a chef's kiss! Red Curry and Thai Garlic. Personally I thought the Red Curry was a tad salty for my liking. Service was attentive and courteous, and prices were reasonable.
Craving for Thai food the other day and my
sistet and I decided to check out this place.
The man at the register greeted me right a way. He even suggested some dishes that I may like. He also gave my sister free coconut juice.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely come back.
8/11/22 First time dining at this restaurant. It was empty people seem to order out more. Either way the experience was very good. Very friendly and courteous owners. They make you feel very comfortable. Deco lighting and music is nice. Food is very good and tasty. Vanilla Fried ice cream very good. The gentleman at the cashier is very nice and grateful for dining with them. Will recommend and return 👍
Amazingly fragrant and well balanced Thai food that was brighter than most Thai places I’ve gone to throughout the years. I had a ton yum, drunken noodle, calamari and red curry. All were fantastic and well priced. The server was very kind, quick, came around often and gave me hot sauce when I ran out. My wife and I will be returning.
My favorite Thai in Astoria. Have brought many friends there too as well as take out and it's a hit with everyone.
Very friendly and great food

Really delicious, and they have this coconut drink in a can I’ve never tried before. Excellent service and really quick.
Wonderful Thai food with attentive and sweet staff
I've eaten here before but it's been awhile.
Maybe it was a BAD day but nothing was on for me today.
One customer at the table when we entered and 20 mins later we get our OVER fried spring rolls and "sober" noodles with shrimp.
I would say more but 'nough said.
Proceed with caution is my suggestion.
Best Thai food! The owners are so nice :) I love their drunken noodles!
My favorite pad thai in Astoria
Excellent food and excellent prices
Food was amazing, I’ve lived in Queens for quite some time now and have been blessed to try Thai food from multiple spots and this was by far Top 3 food experiences.
Look forward to stopping by again
My first time patronizing this establishment and it definitely won’t be my last 😁The service was great the basil chicken was fresh and authentic. Also the price was extremely fair for the quality and quantity for lunch. This is my new spot for Thai food and I can’t wait to try other dishes.Thankyou very much 😊
Nice place.
What a great place! Delicious fresh full of flavor!! We really loved it. And the owner was so lovely to chat with. Highly recommend! Best Thai food we have had in awhile!
If you want great Thai food at good prices, then get over here. Great staff.
Great taste food and excellent service. Curry was especially good.
Delicious food and very good prices. The staff is really nice and helpful.
Chicken Pad Thai: Good price, delicious and large meal, fresh, flavorful, and consistent.
Hot and sour soup: really good!
My husband and I ate an early dinner there on the 4th and were the only people in the restaurant. The service was fantastic! I've never had Thai food before and when I asked for recommendations the server reviewed a lot of popular dishes. I settled on the Spicy Basil stir fry and my husband went with the green curry. Both our meals were fantastic.
Great place. Fantastic lunch specials
Very very good food and kind people
The food is so good! Very good portions as well and the service is 10/10. I tried the green curry and the chicken pad Thai. Everything is very fresh.
My recent takeout experience with Ditmars Thai was a blend of highs and lows. While I had hoped for a satisfying meal, the pineapple fried rice with chicken spicy took an unexpected turn with its strong fishy flavor, leaving me underwhelmed. Despite this culinary misstep, the service was commendable, with the staff ensuring a smooth and pleasant transaction. While I appreciate the effort, the unexpected flavor leaves me hesitant to revisit for takeout in the near future.
I've gotten food from here four or five times (mostly ordered out but dined in once) and have loved it every time! Really flavorful meals, generous portions, and friendly staff. They're really efficient with preparation time. Cute interior and a welcoming vibe. One of my new restaurant recommendations!
Amazing apps, soups, and entrees! Will absolutely be ordering on a regular basis! If you are looking for Thai in Astoria this is it!
Great quality food and service . This is wonderful flavor and fresh ingredients.
The staff are accommodating and kind, the foods taste great and delicious, I would love to recommend this restaurant to my friends and others.
Ordered online from Ditmars Thai, they had exceptional food with great customer service. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Good food and amazing people! What sweethearts! I wish them so much success!!
Amazing food! I got the green curry and drunken noodles they were both so good. The owner is so kind too!
Best drunken noodle around, could eat it 5 days a week
Great food, and dinning experience, will definitely visit again
Amazing top-tier food can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the tea 😋 👌🏽
Quick neighborhood Thai. They have good curry puffs
By far, the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We tried the Drunken Noodles and Red Curry and they were delicious. Additionally, the service is outstanding.
Amazing service! Food is delicious.
Amazing place with perfect service, great atmosphere and stunning food. Will come back
I always trust this place to make a great tofu dish! Fantastic lunch specials. Highly recommend the pad see ew, the sauce is delicious.
Our favorite Thai place. The owner is lovely - so warm and fun to talk to. The pad thai is pretty much THE pad thai I compare every other pad thai to. Hits the spot every time. I think it's fantastic with tofu. The satay and mango salad are both delicious as well.

Thai fried rice tasted just like when I lived in Thailand. Green curry had a perfect taste. The prices were affordable and service was great. They even boxed up our leftovers for us.
The 10.95 lunch menu was a great deal for what you get and they have cheaper options as well.
Pad Thai with tofu is my go-to. Perfect for a weekday dinner/tomorrow’s lunch. The scallion pancakes are really tasty. Staff is always so friendly! Love to support them 🩷
Best Pad Thai I've ever had. Very nice service and great food.
Great food and service at attractive prices.
Favorite place to eat when I visit my friend in Ditmars! The drunken noodles are insanely good - I’d actually recommend the mock duck since it has a perfect texture everytime. The guy who waits on us seems like he may own the place, giving it a very homey vibe. Oh and make sure you get a Thai iced tea!
The best Thai food around Astoria. The food is really delicious and fresh. Also the customer service is very pleasant. I love eating here!

Absolutely love Ditmars Thai! Fresh and delicious always.
Amazing food and customer service !!! The guy on phone was extremely nice , get their pan seared Salmon with mango sauce !! Won’t disappoint!!
I haven't even finished my meal yet, but this is some of the best Thai food I've ever had, and some of the best food PERIOD in the neighborhood. I'm so incredibly mad that it took us almost a year of living here to finally go. Can't wait to go back. Get some fried tofu, you won't be disappointed, and don't forget to get a Thai iced tea - it is absolutely delicious.
Ordered to eat in and the food came out in 2 minutes, the pork was dry and felt like rubber. Everything tastes like buffet food. The wine was stale as well.
Not sure why this place is usually empty. Good food, little pricy (compared to other thai places) but worth the ambiance.
Food was delicious and the service were great..
I love this place! Food is always great
Food was good. Ordered few times fried fish, chicken with basil sauce.
Service was great, they were very polite. And fast service
Exelente servicios y la comida está a otro nível Super.

This is the restaurant my partner have been to the most since moving to Astoria a year ago. The owner David is from Thailand and moved here decades ago, but clearly still remembers how to cook great Thai food. Well, I think it’s his wife or another employee that cooks it, but it’s great. He opened in 2020 with his wife and we started coming soon after.
We will often come for the lunch special which I believe is between 12-4, which is a spring roll, dumpling, or soda if you ask. If the weather is nice and you ask David will open the door / window for a nice breeze. It’s always been relaxing with the music at a relaxing volume.
If you want more or less sauce they can adjust it, we like the pad Thai with more sauce, but you can get it drier as well. We often have the pad Thai and drunken noodles, but I’ve liked pretty much everything. We also sometimes get the Thai iced tea, and love the chicken wings (of all things). David is friendly and the food is ready fast.
We still mask in 2022, but there usually aren’t many people here, (perhaps because it’s kind of new?), so we eat inside here, about the only place I do that in. Hopefully, for their sake, it gets busier. Try it out, we’ve liked it, and thought that after two years of coming here I should leave a review. I ate the food too fast before thinking of taking a photo.
All the dishes ordered was water downed and wasn’t flavorful. We were excited because of all the great reviews… maybe it suits their tastebuds but it’s nowhere near the authetic taste of Thai cuisine or even a decent fast food (Thai). Will never order again!
The food was fresh tasting and the service was friendly and attentive. Great spot!
Great customer service, very nice staff and the food was amazing!! Thank you
They have really nice food and affordable! I think it’s the best Thai food in the city😁
Incredible food and the lunch special is such a great deal, especially considering how much goes into making Thai food. I'm surprised to see so few people in there on the weekend. But wanna echo the other reviews that this is definitely the best Thai food you'll find.
Nice staff, and clean, cute space. Really good green curry and solid fried spring rolls.
Great food and service. Food came out right away and was fresh. Definitely recommend.

One of the better Thai places Ive been to, bursting with flavor, really fresh well made food. Really wellpriced too
The wok and the flat noodle we ordered were delicious! Service was also great! :)
The food tastes amazing and with very reasonable price.
Very yummy food. Followed all the customization to the dishes. Very friendly customer service. Also food was ready in 10 mins.
Love the food!! Also wonderful customer service :)
BEWARE!!! SERVING OLD CHICKEN MEAT
They have the BEST coconut soup!! When we are in Astoria we have to, I say "HAVE TO" stop in for the soup.
The BEST Tom Yum soup, great Pad Thai and Pork Chops. Plus, the owners are a pleasure!
Highly recommended.
Go-to thai spot in the neighborhood. Delicious basil fried rice, drunken noodle, and green curry! All of the appetizers I’ve tried are also great - scallion pancake, curry puffs! Wonderful service.
Ordered the Pad See Ew for delivery. The beef was gamey tasting and was chewy. Giving 2 stars because the coca cola was really cold and refreshing
Excelente menú y muy buena atención.
Very affordable prices , big portions and high quality food! I love this place and the people who work there are very nice . Highly recommended :)
They have a great lunch special. For $11 dollars you get an entree and an appetizer. The special is also available on the weekends. Food was great. We got the Pad Thai with chicken and Pad See Ew with vegetables and tofu, both were delicious. Food came out quick and the staff was great. Highly recommend!
Very good lunch special. Very tasty.
Discovered this little gem by accident while out for my stepmother's birthday. Food was delicious, service was on point, and it's a lovely little cozy place where you can actually have a conversation without getting drowned out by music.
Great food
The food is excellent. I’m very pleased with the experience and food. Would definitely recommend.
So delicious. Great service
I usually don't post reviews but I had to. I'm a regular customer of Ditmars Thai, almost 2 times per week. They never let me down. The best Thai I had in my whole life. The staff is very, very friendly with excellent service.
Great food, amazing and quick service, David/owner is very welcoming, take out and dine-are both good options, great location, decor, people, service, price, value, and food, can't go wrong here!
I love Ditmar’s Thai! The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. The food is delicious; we love the Tom Yum Soup (great spice and flavor), Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Spicy Basil. The food is fresh, stays hot during traveling, and has incredible flavor. Highly recommend Ditmar’s Thai—clean, friendly, fast
P.S. get the dumplings with your lunch order
Tasty basil fried rice and chicken dumplings! However, tom yum soup and thai iced tea were not as nice. I have had way better tom yum soup at other places, it was a little bit salty/sour
staff was super friendly, the owner was so nice and chatty, food was superb, cozy atmosphere and at a great price. didn’t get photos bc we inhaled our food but we order pad thai and drunken noodles. 10/10 will def be back
I always order here for lunch. Awesome customer service. Delicious drunken noodles & curry puffs. I really enjoy their lunch specials.
Great Thai Food and Service
Great lunch specials!
Not worth the prices they charge. Presentation is not there like it used to be before.
Cute, small and clean eatery.. I ordered fried rice with beef and spring rolls to go. The beef/ fried rice didn’t have a lot of flavor.. the spring rolls were great. I had to pour the chili sauce for the spring rolls to my rice to have some flavor.
Staff was friendly. Food was prepared well and flavorful. Food come out of the kitchen hot!
The green curry, Phad Thai, and Wok stir fry dishes were all quite good.
Super sweet owners and delicious food 🙌🏻
New place, but best thai in Astoria hands down. Panaag Fried Rice with Cashew Nut Tofu is amazing
The lunch set was really worth it! The owner is Thai and that already contributes to the authenticity of the taste. My flat rice noodle was extremely tasty and I enjoyed it! Service was fantastic, he kept topping up our ice water. Will return again!
Hey - we ordered gyoza , edamame , pad thai w/veggies , green curry w/chix - all delish & fresh tasting ! Thank You ! New fav Thai Place has earned it's spot on the ' order in ' short list
Great food and great service. If you’re in the area must try this place.
I really enjoyed dining here. The owner is super nice and friendly and the service is fantastic. The food is also really good and I would definitely come again!
Nice out of the way spot, enjoyed the food. Clean restaurant.
This spot was busy with take out orders, but I went to dine in and was very happy I did. The other diners that were leaving were raving about the food so I was eager to order. I got shrimp pad thai and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely will order takeout from here and come back when Covid restrictions lift.
We ordered in, the food arrived faster than the ETA, everything was hot and packed well. Delicious! Our new favorite Thai place.
Chicken in the Panang Curry was *very* tender and lovely. The Drunken Noodle was the restaurant's recommendation... It was very flavorful and did not disappoint. We will be back!
We walked in to try this place because it was new. They gave us a complimentary salad, which was good. I had Panang Curry with chicken. The chicken was really tender. I usually like my curry milky and this one was more watery, but it was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes like the crispy duck.
So good! Very accommodating and delicious food! Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles were great!
The food is fantastic! Large portions, reasonable prices, great service, family run. What more can you ask for?
I like pad Thai is very good
I frequented Boon Chu 2 for their crispy duck and am so glad Ditmars Thai has great duck. The tamarind duck is superb, but my favorite is the pineapple curry. This is my new go-to spot for Thai in Astoria.
The sticky rice with mango so good
