Definitely suggest making a reservation if you are going during peak hours. They were busy when we arrived, but when they were able to seat us, they asked if we had a reservation and communicated that there may be a little wait for food since we didn't make a reservation. They still brought drinks quickly, they were very attentive, and the appetizers came out quickly. The curry puffs and dumplings were absolutely amazing. Most of us ordered the fried rice - the flavor of the beef was spectacular. I also like that the fresh vegetables were cut smaller than some places with the same dish- made them easier to eat. Atmosphere was cozy but enjoyable. Staff was attentive throughout the meal. Would definitely try other menu items here. I appreciate that they communicated and despite being very busy they were professional and courteous.

We ordered Jumbo shrimps for starters and I recommend this as a must try. For the main course, it was a drunken noodle. All the dishes were great and price was reasonable. If I ever visit the area back, this will be in my list!

The male host was very rude from the minute we walked in. We arrived at 5pm and there were exactly two other people in the whole restaurant and they looked to be just about done. The host asked if we had reservations. We stated we did not. He walked us over to the seating area and gave us a choice of two seats and proceeded to say, “if you would have made a reservation you could sit anywhere you know”. Once we were seated he reminded us to make a reservation next time so at this point we did not even really want to stay but since he seated us in a practically empty restaurant we stayed. About 10 minutes go by and the host that sat us asks the women behind us if they needed any water or anything but he still had not gotten us water, asked if we knew what we want, or even acknowledged us. After 15 minutes we just got up and walked out. As we were leaving that same host that sat us and never acknowledged us said, “have a good weekend” as we left without ever even being served water. This host was super rude and we will not be going back. We never even got to try the food.

Very polite, I got the lunch fried rice with tofu - they asked if eggs were okay -, thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice. Everything was very good. It was $24 and some change for all of this.

Food was delicious, but servers get a little crossed - had three servers asking if we were ready to order (after having already placed an order with the first server). Information on the dish also seemed to vary, depending on which server you asked. Again, food was delicious though.

Love their food and it is worth the drive across town to get it. The food is well seasoned and no matter how many Thai food restaurants my husband and I try, we always end up back to Swadee. The Pad Thai shrimp and chicken are really good. The bang bang shrimp is a great appetizer if you like sweetness but it mighy have alot of breading but still it is still good.

One of the better Thai options in the Lehigh Valley, but can be inconsistent. The restaurant is unassuming from the front, but has a nice vibe once inside. The staff is very friendly and prompt, while the food is typically good.

Worst service. We call ahead for a table at 3pm for group of 14 ppl. And was told there won’t be able to accommodate the seating together. but We decided to go anyway since we in the area and we can split to 2-3 tables. When we got there the waiter told us not to do this again because he is by himself. The restaurant is nearly empty and only 1 table with customers. You shouldn’t even open your business if you can’t take any business.

If you plan to visit at prime time, I would strongly advise making a reservation. When we arrived, they were busy, but after they were able to seat us, they inquired about our reservations and let us know that there would be a short wait for meals because of this. Even yet, they continued to serve drinks swiftly, paid close attention, and immediately served the appetisers. The curry dumplings and puffs were outstanding. The majority of us had the fried rice, and the beef had an amazing flavour. The wait staff was on-hand the entire time. I would absolutely try something else from this menu. Despite being quite busy, they were professional and friendly, which I appreciate.

Great communication, they're willing to help you understand the menu options. The menu is sizeable, but not intimidating.

Food is always hot, portion sizes are medium-large, and anyways tastes great.

Atmosphere is great: a more dimly lit venue and there's never seemed to be issues with noise, including people.

Honestly, only way this could seek ANY improvement is for it to be cheaper: though it's very affordable to begin with!

Very disappointed!! We were supposed to have our Christmas party there tonight for 6pm and we called at 2:00pm to see if we could change the reservation to 630 instead, only to get a message they closed for the day! I get that things come up but no one even called to let us know, we would have shown up, some of us coming from Easton and we would have been there with no where to go. Not impressed since this is the first time for most of us. Not impressed!

The pad see ew was good. The panang curry is very thin. I did not like the Thai iced tea. The inside of the place smells old and musty.

My husband and I LOVED the food here the first few times we went. Their food is very well made and flavorful and we were impressed with the ambiance inside and authenticity of their meals. We thought this would be our new go-to restaurant and have been here at least 4 or 5 times since moving to Emmaus a month ago. However after the experience we had today I can say we unfortunately will not be back. We called in for pickup two orders of chicken pad thai which is basically the only thing we order from there because we loved it so much. We got home and opened our dinners to find that they had not given us pad thai but drunken noodles. No big deal, mistakes happen, right? So my husband called the restaurant to let them know about the mix up and simply asked if he could bring the food back to switch it out for the correct order. The guy who answered the phone got extremely defensive and rude saying things like “Listen, I do this 5 days a week and I know what you said. I heard drunken noodles. You can exchange it but that’s not what you ordered”. We have literally NEVER ordered drunken noodles at any restaurant before in our lives and I was standing right next to him when he placed the order over the phone—he very clearly said pad thai with chicken. Instead of just apologizing for the mix up the guy continues to argue with him over the phone and insist that he is right and my husband was wrong and has no idea what he is talking about. Just fix the problem and move on! When we went back to the restaurant to switch out our food the guy was there to give us our food and again was extremely rude to my husband. My husband told him how disappointed he was after the way he was spoken to on the phone and there was no apology given, the man just stared at him and then said “If I didn’t believe you I wouldn’t have gone through all this trouble to remake it, okay???”. The way he spoke to us was just so extremely rude and disrespectful and we are beyond disappointed in the customer service we received. This place has good food but after the way we were spoken to today we will take our business elsewhere. Really a shame.

I found this place through a recommendation from a sales clerk at a nearby business. I am so glad I found it!

I have had several of the appetizers, and they were delicious. The Thai dumplings are a favorite, as are the curry puffs. The spring rolls are also quite good. There is a combo offering that has all 3, which is perfect for sharing.

I have only had the Tom Kha soup and it was also delicious.

If you love Pad Thai, Swadee has the best I have ever had. The noodles are light, and the flavor of the dish is smooth but complex.

The service is excellent as well.

I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of the food. I don't live close by. But whenever I'm in the area I make it a point to eat here.

We were on our trip to the Poconos for 4th of July weekend.We went little out of way to have lunch at this restaurant as were are fans of Thai food. The restaurant has good ambience with Thai decors etc.

We have ordered our usually favorite Thai entree, the green curry with vegetables with extra tofu. It costed a pricy $19+ for each entree.

We found the vegetables tasted stale. Needless to say we are disappointed and won't return here.

A solid, yummy Thai restaurant which serves adult beverages in the center of Emmaus! The food was fresh and tasty with just a hint of heat (as my dining partner requested). The menu could be a bit more extensive but there's definitely something for everyone, and the staff was friendly and helpful, and I will be returning again to try something different the next time I'm in the area.

What a great little place! We stopped in on a whim and we loved it! The decor was beautiful and the food was fantastic. We had the Thai spring rolls, the Tom Ka soup and the Chicken Sa-tay to start. All three were wonderful. My picky 5 year old even loved it! For an entree we had the homestyle duck which was cooked to perfection. Overall, an amazing experience! We will be sure to be back!

I think that Thai food is both delicious (When prepared right like they do here) and healthy. Love the way they cook it, love the spices, and in general love mushrooms. Easy 5 stars.

Came to this place. It was freezing asked them to sit away from the window but it was a table set for four and it was only the two of us. The whole restaurant was empty. The lady rude said usually they don’t give this table for two people. Never had this experience before anywhere else. We walked out. You can imagine if they are that selfish about making guest comfortable especially with a reasonable request -how selfish would they be in their cleanliness or food quality- they’d skimp on it. SKIP THIS ONE!

Came here for the first time with a group of 5. Normally we’ll find a joint in Bethlehem, but with our usual spots being closed, we found this place online and we’re drawn in by the reviews and pictures.

We were immediately treated like regulars, and they adjusted some of the appetizer sizes to accommodate our groups size & one vegetarian. The food was quick, delicious, and high quality. Definitely recommend this place and will be back for future Thai nights!!
