Table reservations & Order ahead
Used to enjoy their food and it was a decent place when we wanted Thai. I don't know if under new management but things have changed. We walked in and the hostess was sitting in a chair at the back of the restaurant. As we walked to the counter she said what do you want. I said well we would like to eat here. She said ok go over there and pointed to the corner.
We ordered salad rolls, green curry, and pineapple fried rice. The salad rolls were dry and the peanut sauce was watery and lacked flavor. The pineappjle fried rice was decent but lacked the flavor we have had in the past. We also asked for medium spice and it seemed like no spice at all.
The green curry was awful. It was super watery, a milky yellow, had no spice and no flavor. The only flavor it had was that it tasted like microwaved chicken. The smell made my wife nauseous and I had two bites and couldn't eat anymore. A terrible meal for over $40. Never again.
This place is a joke I tried it once a couple years ago and it was okay but this time it was just gross. Pad Thai was not good but I was so hungry I ate it. Don’t recommend.
Also the server was in such a rush to take order and checked in on us once from really far away like she was scared to walk up. Minimal effort for service. As you can tell we were the ONLY table there…. So idk 🤷🏽♀️ maybe she just doesn’t care for our business. Not to worry we won’t be back 😄 I will be going to my favorite place in Portland Siri Thai! Anyone reading this please go check out Siri Thai if this one doesn’t work out 😊
I love this place. The food is absolutely delicious. The service is fast and friendly, and the music is mellow and relaxing. My dinner came out of the kitchen quickly, which was perfect because I was so hungry. I had duck curry with pineapple. It had a rating of 2 for spiciness on a scale of 5. I like a bit of spicy so I thought it would be too mild for me, but the heat of the curry was very satisfying. It even cleaned out my sinuses. I'm only passing through on my way back to Idaho, and now I wish I could take this place home with me. I'd love to try everything on their menu!
I have eaten here for over 8 years and have given this restaurant a lot of business. Unfortunately when ordering multiple dishes with different spice levels, they have came wrong the last 3 times all in separate occasions. I let them go unmentioned because it is rude to complain (in my opinion) so the 3rd time I asked if I could please have the meal remade properly. I did not want a refund and even offered to bring the meal back untouched (wich I did) and they took it into the back, remade the same 5hr old dish in a pan and served me the same dish. The total was $30. This is not right :( and we knew they were going to do this when we strictly asked for it to be remade the correct way.
UPDATE: After calling them and asking the lady “are you sure that you reheated the same meal and added to it” and she gladly said “yes, did you think it was a new meal?” I let her know that what she had done is breaking 3 food violations and that I was recording her saying that for the health department report….she acted like the phone was not connecting. Then she came back on to say “ no the meal was brand new” after I recorded her saying it was the 5 hour old meal. Very dirty business practices.
VERY disappointed with this restaurant! Look at my picture! I paid $20 for this meal. How am I expected to eat this with no plate or bowl??? The spice rating was 1-5. I ordered 4. Adding some ground black pepper would have made my dish more spicy. I ordered a dish with the word "CASHEW" in the actual name of the dish.... There was literally ONE cashew!!! Nothing good to say about this place. My recommendation would be to go somewhere else. I would like to add that I would be more than happy to remove this review if management responds and attempts to make it right. Don't think they will, but let's see what happens....
Wow this is great Thai food ! The spice level is from 1-5 and I ordered a chicken pad Thai ….. they nailed it ! Can’t wait to come back !!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
We ordered from here on a whim, because we were craving some Thai salad rolls- they were good BUT their PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE was ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!!!!!!
Honestly in the Top 3 Best fried rices I've EVER had! My Husband does not care for fried rice & he couldn't stop eating it! I wish I would have taken some pictures to add to this review but we honestly ate it too fast to even think about taking a picture haha :P
We also got the Fried Bananas, but were both personally not impressed with those (especially after the fried rice). They were like mashed banana egg rolls with no flavor or sweetness.
TRY THE PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE!!! SERIOUSLY!!
Wow this is great Thai food ! The spice level is from 1-5 and I ordered a chicken pad Thai ….. they nailed it ! Can’t wait to come back !!
UPDATE BELOW. I've been to Chiang Rai twice, both times for a take-away snack. The food has been fresh & tasty both times so I am looking forward to a complete meal from there!! The staff has been friendly & provided quick service. The restaurant has been very clean, as well. Prices are very reasonable
UPDATE:
Something has changed at Chiang Rai & it's not good. I noticed a huge difference when I ordered $85 of take away food. Only one dish had flavour. One wasnt cooked all the way. Plus, we were given yellow curry for the pra ram & salad rolls instead of peanut sauce. A few weeks later I ordered that one yummy dish to find it was swimming in cooking oil when I arrived home. Yesterday my friend ordered dinner for us. She ordered panang curry with extra green beans for me. What they gave her was watered down green curry & bamboo shoots. Three strikes Chiang Rai and you are OUT!!

It is a good place they are nice i go after school

Extremely disappointing order. Drunken Noodles had very little meat even when chicken, beef and pork combo was ordered. Portion sizes were small. Expensive peanut sauce ordered as a side was watered down, which I've never seen at a Thai restaurant before. Very cheap owners, very cheap chefs. Do not recommend ordering from here ever.
A poor excuse for a restaurant. Something had gone awry in a major way in the past year here at what was once an above average restaurant.
Prices are absurd for the poor quality slop being passed off as food here. For less money you could get fresh Thai at any number of restaurants in Portland.
The fried rice tasted like white rice soaked in oil (not fried) and the tempura is cheap, frozen bread battered shrimp.
Quite possibly the worst Thai food I’ve ever eaten. This is all on top of when I have dined in, in the past, the service is cold at best, if not openly rude.
This place is really bad & expensive
My favorite Thai spot so far. And I’ve tried places all over the PNW and NYC. The chicken pad Thai is very flavorful and the panang curry was absolutely stunning. It hit the spot!
Food was tasty but there wasn't much on the plate. Water had a chemical taste.
Good food and nice and close for the convenience

Try the drunken noodles 😁
Awesome food and great service something for everyone here
STAY AWAY
I ordered food off the restaurants website. They advertise lower prices, delivery fees, and you're supporting their restaurant. There were so many issues. The prices, fees, everything was cheaper on Doordash. The restaurant actually contracts with Doordash to send out the food. If you order through the restaurants site you get confirmation through Doordash. I ordered thai iced tea, noodles, and a side of potstickers. Somehow-- the app put me in as two orders of potstickers. The delivery wasn't even picked up until after it was supposed to be delivered. The restaurant called me to tell me they couldn't entirely fill my order. I told the issues to the waitress and asked for a refund on what wasn't delivered and a price adjustment for what I was charged for but didn't order. She stated "I am a waitress what should I do". I told her and she declined. I asked to speak with management to which she said "I don't know when they'll be in or if they will callback. I never heard back. I then called back multiple times asking to speak with a manager. Each time I asked to speak with management they hung up. I spoke with Doordash who said everything needed to go through the restaurant trying to get the issue resolved. My food was cold and the noodles were still hard. Such a terrible experience all around!
Update: The manager told me that I needed to go through the company's website that his restaurant uses. I told him I tried contacting them and they told me it needed to go through his restaurant. My bank also stated the charges on the statement are through Chiang Rai and anything needed to go through him. He told me that if he was there, he would have refunded me. He then continued to say he wasn't there so he couldn't do anything and informed me he had been traveling. He told me his waitresses cannot refund anything even though they are the ones who called me to tell me the order couldn't be fulfilled, and he said this is the way he runs his business and is the protocols and policy of the restaurant. He told me the noodles were cooked but crunchy probably because they sat for so long, but he didn't know and was going to contact a third-party company as he claims his restaurant is the third party. Yet when I contacted every company involved, they said it ultimately came down to the restaurant. The manager of Chiang Rai told me the restaurant is the third party company which is why he told me he couldn't do anything. I told him the bank statement says otherwise and it all comes from Chiang Rai. He said none of this happened on purpose but wasn't willing to resolve the issue or even offer any apology for what had happened. He also defended his waitresses for hanging up on me when asking to speak to a manager and said "they didn't understand" or that "they were busy".
Update two: The manager called the company the website uses and had them reach out to me. They were very kind and confirmed that the refund does indeed NEED to come from Chiang Rai and Chiang Rai is NOT the third party company. He is going to reiterate that to the restaurant and inform them that it needs to come from them.
STAY AWAY
The food was outstanding. We definitely found our new Thai spot.
Very polite staff and good food.
Their curry dishes are amazing!
Great food. Best Thai in east county
Other than getting the spicy level of the food wrong almost every time, the food is delicious and well presented and the restaurant is clean and comfortable to visit.
This is a staple when I want food to go. Always good.
Delicious food and great Thai tea. Great service, server was really personable. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Fantastic food and excellent service. Have been there several times now, always good.
I always get the same dish and it's always delicious.
People are great. Very nice and kind. They even saved my daughters tablet the she forgot there. Service is average when busy, great when slower. The food is everything you should expect at better than average places or better. Well prepared with fresh ingredients and always to spice level requested. Some dishes very authentic and not americanized.
Fresh rolls are my favorite there and often order for just a snack. Real thai and Vietnamese beers as well. Overall 5 star with me.
Thought we try something new. Great food, good service.
This place is a joke I tried it once a couple years ago and it was okay but this time it was just gross. Pad Thai was not good but I was so hungry I ate it. Don’t recommend.

This place is so good! Came here for the first time for lunch with my basketball team and will definitely come again. Food was 10/10 and had great service. Definitely recommend
Don’t recommend anything. Service was horrible. Wife ordered a dish spicy and it was bland. Waitress from 15’ away asked how was everything and turned away. No condiments offered at the table. We went up the street to Pho Chang Thai and had an amazing dinner. $30 wasted on food here.
Great food. Great service
Love the service, was fast, responsive and friendly. Their house specials are on point, well definitely be going back for more.
Great service and tasty food
Food was excellent!! Potions are generous, service was great!
Amazing food! Service was great, and the food came out super fast. They had gluten free options as well, which was really helpful. The peanut sauce for the fresh rolls was delicious, the Tom Yum soup was flavorful and warming, and the Pad Thai simply perfect. Would definitely recommend this Thai place!
It's funny that people say the customer service is poor, but I think it has to do with personalities and attitudes. The golden rule people. There's still a social contract and we need to got back to it. By the way, the food is exceptional.
My husband and I have eaten there several times recently and find the food very delicious. While all the dishes we've tried are wonderful taste treats, their freshly-made salad rolls are the best we've come across in years.
The staff are friendly and the service is great. Thank you, Katelyn, for making us feel very, very welcome at each visit.
Like it!
We have eaten there a few times and the food is always good and service is excellent!
Great restaurant!; best Thai in the Troutdale/Greaham area hands down. Friendly staff who is always upbeat snd helpful with questions on the menu. Visit this place and you will return. No doubt about it!
The drunken noodles was good and good portion like any other thai place but I tried another dish(pad ka pao) and it was a very small portion for the price but it was good its just the portions should be some what consistent. Besides that ill still go back and and go some so.e of the regular dishes I've had before that were well served and good taste
Nice decor good ambience and more then that the food at this place never disappoints you.
Gorgeous and delicious food. Great staff. Lovely location in the city.
Food was very fresh and delicious even my little one approved!!
Best Thai food in the area. Duck Curry is my favorite, but all the dishes are equally delicious.
Our go to Thai restaurant! Probably the best in East County! Plus their staff is really nice and accommodating
Muy limpio buena atención lo recomiendo
The restaurant mistakenly put shrimp in my food and refused to replace the order. They told me to pay for a new entree if I wanted one without shrimp. When I said I likely wouldn’t be coming back they hung up on me.
This place has a great variety of really good food. If you like your food to have many notes, like a full symphony this place will please your sense of taste. The Pad Thai is a must have, and so is the Pineapple fried rice. Great soups too. It's on Stark on your way to the Sandy River. The staff is super friendly. They offer takeout, and delivery. Are you on your way yet ?
Delicious food!
Authentic Thai food!! Very nice and clean restaurant with an exceptionally great service!!
Very friendly staff!
The food is always good but recently they forgot part of an order.
They made sure to ask for my first name and then my last name but didn't check their own bag to make sure they put everything in that was paid for.
The chicken pad Thai is excellent and the staff are friendly. Pricing is good too! A great date night meal.
Amazing Thai food!
So fresh and delicious!
Had the tofu fresh rolls, papaya salad, and tofu massaman curry. Fresh rolls were ok. Not sure what the sauce was. Papaya salad was pretty decent. Spice level was actually what I asked for. Curry was flavorful. Prices decent. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Not overly busy. Nice area
We order a chicken Pa Thai and is was good. We also order Summer rools they were delicious.
I have tried all the Thai restaurant in the area and can say fore sure this is the best Thai food in Gresham!
Yummy food
Great food and service.
Everything is great here! Service, food, everytime!
Love this place. Food is great! Have gone to this place at least 3 dozen times. Try the pad Thai and adjust the spice to the level you want. I would also recommend the Mango sticky rice.
Love this place!
Very clean nice staff and excellent food
I got a white hair in my friend rice. The curry that we had it is ok. The decision is good. I got to ask couple of time to get some extra spoons. For the price, it is a little pricey.
Un lugar donde se come muy rico, buena porción de alimento, algo diferente pero bastante delicioso recomendó el plato 36 y 38
Great food
We have been going to this place for years and since day one they have had bad service but the food usually makes up for it. Last night we returned for dine in and the service was not even a 1 star we won’t be back. For the price and the lack of service we can find another Thai place.
Great food!!
The best Thai food I've ever experienced and it's one of my favorite foods. The avocado trout with pineapple rice is divine.
Their pineapple fried rice is the best I have ever had! Very quick service and the lady who always hands me my food is so friendly and nice. Highly recommended.
Friendly service and quick order-to-food turnaround. Great food.
The staff are super friendly and the food is bomb! Definitely recommend coming here ♥︎
As soon as you enter the restaurant you will be greeted by an unfriendly server/cashier behind the counter. The lousy jazz music doesn't cut the deal of a dining experience [the playlist is bad, i love jazz music though] maybe they should switch to thai music, the ambiance is too bright with that huge glass windows, put curtain or something to block too much light at least (maybe open it during sunset). The food is so-so. The fact that there is unfriendy staff does not average my rating. The taste of the food is forgettable. I ordered 6 dish on the menu bybthe way. I have been to Thailand and Hawaii and other mainland US thai restaurants and it is not close to those memorable food I had. With my rating, it is just pass by it restaurant. There maybe better places somewhere else. The price is within average. One of those foreign speaking restaurants that I can feel they are talking against their customers behind their back using the language. My being as an Asian and who used to work in customer experience industry the very unfriendly thai cashier [if you are the manager and you are reading this, I hope this serve you a good constructive criticism. Good food starts with a good service.and that lady that rolls her eye when speaking to customer is just bad. I also said thank you many times and i did not get a simple "welcome" response. THE WAY THE OWNER RESPONDS TO FEEDBACKS [see other comments from previous reviews] REFLECTS ON WHAT KIND OF SERVICE YOU WILL GET FOR YOUR FUTURE DINING. PANDEMIC IS NOT AN EXCUSE. I HAVE BEEN TO OR ORDERED FROM A RESTAURANT WITH CONSISTENT GOOD SERVICE DESPITE THE PANDEMIC.
Ordered their Orange chicken and Yakisoba noodles. Orange chicken was delicious. The yakisoba noodles not so much. Noodles weren't noodles, they were 1” long and severely over cooked. To add to it, there was so much sauce it was a complete soupy mess.
Worst part is their customer service. I called to let them know the problems with the plate, and the person on the phone just dismisses me and says “well ill have the manager call you back.” Well time passed everyone ate their dinner but me. So I drove up there and gave it to them. No mention of a refund or anything. They wanted me to sit by and wait while they make another plate, but i opted out. Didn't get any cash back or even a sorry. I was an avid customer, now I wont go back.
I lived in Thailand for 12 years and this is the nearest to authentic everyday Thai food that I've found in Portland.Only ook them a couple of times to get my heat level hot enough. Highly recommended and my go to for authentic non Americanized Thai food.
SERIOUSLY!!
Slow service. But the food is good.
What a great restaurant. Troutdale is got one of the best place to eat Thai food at now that Chiag Rai can make it through the first 2 yrs of opening and then a pandemic. The food is always good we haven't ever had a bad meal. This is a must if you have checked them out before.
So good. So fresh. Love this place so much. They keep the outdoor seating sanitized and the quality of their food and service remains A+
Great Food super nice staff
We LOVE this place! The food is always excellent - the Thai Ices Tea is delicious - and the folks who run it are equally as great! Super safe set up for take out food, fair pricing, and never too long of a wait. Love supporting local businesses and they are our favorite neighborhood place! 😍
Great Thai out in Troutdale nice to have something different
Really good thai! Highly recommend!
Good Thai Food and the only spot for us who live in the countryside east of town. The food is consistently good and prices are decent.. could be cheaper. People are nice there as well. We mostly do takeout.
This is our favorite restaurant to order takeout from!
Great service and fantastic food. I have never been disappointed once with anything.
Used to be good. Ordered today and food wasn’t fresh. The drunken noodles were disgusting (I’ve ordered drunken noodles at least a dozen times from here and they were fantastic), absolutely no flavor and the pork smelled funny. The fried shrimp which is my favorite tasted like fryer grease, the fryer obviously hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. Won’t order from here again!
Great food!
Great food competitive prices
Food was ok, and a bit pricey.
Best food I have ever had!!!
Both times I’ve been there I haven’t been impressed.
The first time I ordered chicken wonton appetizers, ate there, and the chicken wasn’t completely cooked.
I told the employee, and she didn’t seem to care, and asked me if I wanted to order something else, but expected me to pay for it!
The second time, more than a year later, I ordered food to go, Masuman curry, they
Must have run out of containers, as they put the curry in a self made bowl of foil. Yes, just foil, nothing else. And didn’t give me the full amount.
While they were cooking the food- I could hear the cook coughing and sneezing.
少し甘いけど辛くてうまい
Good food good service
Great service and phenomenal food, I will definitely be back for more and will be recommending them to my friends.
Super good food and clean and nice service
The best Thai Food in Troutdale and Gresham, every dish I have had from here has been delicious. The restaurant is clean and everyone who works there is friendly. They are also super fast if you are in a hurry! Love this place!
Bland - Very little flavor. Disappointing.
Good food
The service was quick and attentive, not to mention the best part: the food. Had the pineapple curry and it was absolutely decadent. Good eating at this place, definitely reccomend for thai food lovers.
We eat here alot. At least once a week. Tonight we ordered uber eats. Medium Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Soup. Dishes we frequently order. I ordered medium spicey and it showed up so crazy spicy I couldnt eat it and my wifes beef soup had 3 pieces of meat... We have never had this issue before. So I called and was accused of lying by the woman who said she was in charge. She wouldn't even give me her name. We are incredibly disappointed in this place. It was our go to Thai food restaurant. It would have been as easy as an apology and a correction. What has happened to customer service?
Simple atmosphere with smooth jazz playing in the background. The food is clean and good. Many orders are to go. I will be back to try other dishes.
I had the cashew nut chicken and egg rolls. I haven’t found any good Thai in Gresham only downtown Portland. Im happy to learn this one is near by.
I didn’t give a 5 bcs the to go boxes are styrofoam and not environmentally friendly. Also I need to try other dishes. Casual environment. No booths.
food was so so
Great food, was displeased however with the 5 dollar charge to share a meal...
This small, informal Thai eatery offers generous portions of excellent food at quite reasonable prices, many at $11 basic plate with $2 or $3 Additional depending on added kind of meat or tofu. Additional seasonal and other specialty dishes are a bit more.
Food was great however service was terrible. My mom asks for her recommendation, like whats good on the menu and the server just rolls her eyes and says she doesn't know, so my mom asks what's popular, what do people usually order when they come and she just points at a random dish on the menu. We got the hint that maybe she's not having a good day so my mom asks for hot tea which it shows on the menu that they have, she bats her eyes and says "no we don't have any tea here". We proceed to take our order and the food surprisely come out pretty fast and it was very good. My son is 2 years old and usually is a picky eater but he loved the fried rice with tofu. Aside from the terrible server we highly recommend this place but maybe Togo or get it delivered. Who knows though maybe the server was just having a bad day.
Pretty good Thai food.
We ate there for the first time today. The food and service was outstnding. We were treated with respect and he server was friendly.
We live close and order out here relatively frequently. The food is all fantastic. Tastes like everything is made with fresh veggies and meats. The green curry is a favorite.
Great food
Yum!
Last Bite House fly in my spoon , the Curry Duck Soup. I nice fat fly must of cooked well to pump up the big fly. Sitting in spoonful of coconut milk, spices and one nice big house fly,
Our favorite tai food in Gresham...... so glad we found it. We love the coconut soup and green curry salmon. Salad rolls are very fresh!
Worst place ever! The pad Thai tastes like ketchup and they wouldn’t take it off the bill!!!! Don’t wast ur time here!!!!! Never eating here again
Very nice. Very clean. Diner-style seating. Had the pad Thai 4/5 spicy, and it was delicious!
I give 2 star only for the delicious food but the staff doesn’t respect the customer how I know? I can speak Thai and understand Thai language and I hear them talking in the back about me and my friend and other customer
Very good food and their chicken pad Thai is the best I have had in a long time. Also they have soups, rice, noodle dishes and much more. Also their crab puffs are amazingly delicious! Service has always been fast and friendly. Try it I'm sure you will love it!
Best thai food in Troutdale. Friendly, quick service, great staff! Green curry is superb, yummy tom kha and try the chicken curry noodle, super delicious!
Zero or negative actually for customer service. The waitress insisted I ordered something that I didn't. I don't know the names of the items. I pointed on the one I want. She brought another item beside the 1 I like. The problem is she insisted that I also ordered that. And have attitude. We're never coming back
Great food and service! Love being able to substitute wide noodles for any noodle dish. Wide noodle pad Thai is great!
Great food, large portions, excellent staff/service and nice selection of cold beer.
Really good thai style food, be sure to clarify that you want a certain level of spiciness or it will come out American soft on the palate. Nice staff, polite and efficient.
I'm not a thai fan, but my food was delicious.
The decor just didn't impress me a lot, and I'd call my food average, but the waitress was very nice, and the service was good. I'll perhaps give it another try one day, maybe I just tried the wrong thing!
Super yummy love this place and super friendly waiters
Very friendly and insanely delicious. A hidden gem.
We frequent this restaurant and the food is great however the service is not. The waitresses are very rude and seem put out when anyone walks in.
Great place to eat, the atmosphere is fantastic, the service is spot on, and the people are really nice! (Not to mention the food is beyond this world! ❤)
