It was our first time dining this cute restaurant in the old town of St. Helens, OR.

They offer a good menu of Thai classics along with other Asian dishes. Their drink menu looked good, too. The service was excellent and our meal arrived as we had ordered. Everything was delicious. The dipping sauces for the salad rolls and Thai dumplings were on the spot!

The only opportunity for improvement was the temperature of the building. It was a smidge chilly. Maybe their heating system was not working? Hot tea helped. They did have their beautiful vintage furnace on as well as a space heater, so they were aware.

We will be back to try more dishes.

I got the Peanut Sauce Curry. Spice was good, flavor good and presentation was beautiful. My niece had Pad Thai and said it was really good. My mom a dish that I can’t remember the name of. She liked hers also. The waitress was friendly and the perfect level of attentiveness.

Hands down the best Thai food I have ever had! The atmosphere was great the restaurant was clean and our servicer was incredibly friendly. And the the food was amazing. The sauce, the noodles even the chicken had perfect flavor. Everything about this restaurant was truly incredible. We have heard great things about this restaurant and it exceeded all expectations. If you like Thai food you have to give this place a shot. We order the pad Thai and the pad kee mao and they were both out of this world good. They also played everything so nicely and provide a perfect date night spot!

Love every dishes we ordered. Especially Pad Khee Mao and Poh Tak are authentic Thai taste that I have been searching for a long time. All staff are friendly and the food is served quickly. Really enjoyed the atmosphere both inside and outside the restaurant as well.

The place was beautiful! We came in with 6 adults and 2 children- paying 3 separate checks - they handled our group well and the food was delicious! It did take a good amount of time to receive the food but for that taste that wait was worth it! None of us had left overs

The whole experience was a disaster. Our group was seated promptly, but as soon as we were sat down at our table, we were suddenly having to wave down the waitresses for everything. We didn't even get menus until we asked. We had to wave down another waitress just to order our food. Then we waited another 30 minutes just get drinks, but only half our party received their drinks. When we brought up that half our party didn't have their drinks, they tried to charge us for a second round of drinks and we had to sit and clarify for 10 minutes that we hadn't received anything yet and needed our first drinks. Finally. After 45 minutes we all had our drinks, expect we didn't. But moving on from that. All of our food came out at different times. Half of us were eating while the other half didn't get their food. Again, we had to wave down a waitress and ask where the food was. Come to find out, they never even wrote down half the order. This is now well over an hour into our visit here. When we asked to have our check, there were items added on there that we didn't order, adding $50 to our order. Overall, service is horrible. Food is medicore. Drinks are at least strong. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!! Go anywhere else but here. It's not worth it.

So so so yummy!! If you're thinking about it, just do it! Eat here! They are so friendly here and they really do provide amazing service! I had the chicken yakisoba with a side of teriyaki sauce and their Thai tea float. It is one of the best Yakisobas I've had! Also, their homemade chile oil is so good and spicy!!

I ordered Orange chicken 🍊 and let me just say the amount is very small if you are coming in here very hungry, they did take about 15-22mins to get my food but it was worth the wait for the flavor and texture of the chicken very delicious 🤤 and that part didn’t disappoint me. Not to mention there fried calamari was very good and well fried I will definitely be coming back soon (:

Love this place.

I enjoyed the Avocado curry, good flavor and spice. The pad thai was too sweet and had no spice. The staff seemed very overwhelmed with the crowd from the halloween event. So much so I had to go to the register to pay my bill because I was tired of waiting. Not sure if I would return or not.

The location is cute - an old cafe on the riverfront - and the food is delicious. Unfortunately service was incredibly chaotic. We had to ask for the soft drinks we ordered 5 times before they came. If you’re in town for Spirit of Halloweentown keep in mind that they don’t seem to be ready for the crowds.

We've had many different dishes on several occasions and found them all excellent! The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Food was ample portions and prepared timely. This has become one of our local favorite's!

I asked if the crab fried rice was sweet and was told that it wasn't, but it was sweet. Portion sizes were a bit on the small side for the price. Overall, it's better than average, but I would probably go to a place that gives better portions for the price charged. Both dishes were at the 19 dollar mark with no leftovers.

I had two orders. For pick up. They only gave my husband one. Had to drive back into st.helens. Went in and grabbed second order. They actually followed me out to my car to ask if I had paid!! I paid on the app. Once I got home. There were only four coconut shrimp and my avocado curry had no avocado! I ordered a 0 for spice… so intense for heat I couldn’t even eat it.

セントへレンズ自体、日本の田舎町のようなゆったりとした、平和な穏やかな町です。目の前にコロンビア川が見えて景色も素晴らしいので、小旅行におすすめです。

This is the most relaxing restaurant in Saint Helens. Whenever I've had a stressful day, I go to Lotus of Bangkok, and it's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, and very nice staff. I cannot recommend this place more!

Very good food. Limited menu because we came during Halloween town but still excellent. Make sure to ask for a pepper tray to get the spice you need! Hard to find Thai places that still to the pepper tray so it made me very happy when they brought it out.

We are here for Halloween Town and the place is slammed. But the food and service is still wonderful. They all have to be exhausted but you can't tell. Excellent...highly recommend!!

Really amazingly good Thai food for being in the wilds; by this this I mean the offerings I had would be competitive in Portland or Seattle. If you’re taking in a show at the Columbia Theater, this would be an ideal pre-show nosh. Subtle flavoring, hot, fresh. Definitely worth seeking out despite the unassuming street presence.

I’m super impressed with this place. Normally Thai food in small towns is a big miss, but this spot is really good! We got the potstickers, massaman curry, and orange chicken, and everything was excellent.

Edit: my friend said it was the best orange chicken she’s ever had. This place is great!!

My all time FAVORITE restaurant in St Helens. The flavors and portion sizes are always consistent and incredible. We typically try a new dish every time we come in and we have yet to be disappointed. I highly, highly recommend!

I LOVE this place. Me and my partner are here every date night. The food is amazing, spicy basil fried rice and Pumpkin curry are my favorite dishes! The people who work here are incredibly sweet and friendly! This is my go to place. I’m not a big fan of going out as nothing seems to impress me or is just a lousy place. But this? This is a gem! We will be back for years to come!

The last year and a half this was my go to place to go..the food still tastes good but unfortunately in the last 3 mths or so my usual order has less ..there's half of the portion I'm use to and less meat and veggies in the meals..

We met some well-traveled friends from out of town, and they were so impressed with Lotus of Bangkok. All of us had different dishes and everyone was pleased. Already talking about when to go back next.

My wife and I have been doordashing for them for awhile and decided to go there tonight for dinner. I have had a lot of Thai food in my life, but this was by far the best, we were busy all day and just went nuts and ordered a ton lol. I had the Basil fried chicken, and it was absolutely amazing, I'm not a fan of chicken on the bone, mind changed. My wife had the Satay salad it was fantastic! The appetizer plate was perfectly cooked and was so flavorful. A few things about this place... First.. service is outstanding, speed of the orders is amazing, whomever is doing the cooking, you are a god. The atmosphere is just absolutely relaxing and feels like somewhere you want to be. Then... There are the ceiling fans.. it may seem odd to focus on such a thing, but for me it just gives me a reminder of how we conserved electricity back then... Take the time and look up.. pulleys and belts remind me of a time of innovation it's a beautiful thing if you take the moment to stare and admire it. Best place ever. So disappointed in meal tonight. People who arrived 5 minutes after us received their mesl before us. We were the only 4 in there before they arrived. I ordered #73. Was not good as many times prior. Tasted like sugar replaced the spice. Just uck. Never eating there again.

My wife and I were both very happy with our dinner. The food was really good, the portions were good sized, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean. My only disappointment was that we hadn't tried this place sooner.

I don't like to leave negative reviews for local businesses. I made a togo order. The staff was very friendly. But when I got home my chicken pad tai didn't have much flavor. It tasted like it was yesterday's takeout that had been reheated in the microwave. My husband's orange chicken was fried to burnt. We couldn't even finish eatting our meals and made something else.

When it first opened it was pretty good. Recent dinners quality and ingredients like amount of vegetables have both decreased. Most recent dinner was more sauce than anything. Have not been back since. Could have been just a fluke getting two lacking dinners in a row, however fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...

One of my most favorite Thai food restaurants. Everytime I come to St. Helens, I have to come here to eat. I'm never disappointed.

Have only ever had take out from here and it’s always been delicious. The whole family likes this food. The peanut sauce is excellent. I am very surprised that the pad Thai does not come with vegetables; it is just noodles and the protein. I can make adjustments to my order and it’s fantastic.

Came from Rainier by boat and arrived at the restaurant about 20 minutes before they closed for the period between lunch and dinner. We asked if we should come back another time as there were five of us and we would be the only customers at that time.
They welcomed us in and allowed us to stay a half hour past their lunch closing time.
Other customers drifted in after us and were also welcomed. All of us really liked what we ordered and will definitely be going back.

My family and I have been here 4-5 times, their food is awesome and their Singha Lager is really good.

I like their fried bananas with ice cream too, I've wanted to try something else but I always go for the bananas.

Fast service good food very friendly staff one of my favorite places

The food is very good. I ordered one of their dishes and when I took a bite it tasted like one of those restaurants you would find in downtown Portland or in Seattle.

We were just passing through to visit the Twilight House and luckily stopped here. Fresh food with great vegetarian options. Friendly and casual service. An issue with the bill was sorted politely and quickly.

This is my go to local Thai restaurant. Flavorful and cooked with ❤️ love. Great sized portions, I always have to get a to go box for leftovers.

First time eating here. We were a group of eight people on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly, and provided excellent service. Always coming by to see if we needed anything, and to refill our drinks. The food came out quickly, and everyone in our group enjoyed it.

Definitely a fantastic place to eat at. I haven’t been to a Thai restaurant that I truly like and this one I love. We got the Pod Cashew and it was amazing. I also had the orange chicken which the sauce had a very distinct sweet and sour taste but it was so sour it tasted like orange. Definitely a great place to eat. Drinks are refilled often. 5 star review.

This restaurant has become a number one for me. I dined the first time before the pandemic shut us in our homes. Yesterday a friend and I drove from inner SE Portland to dine. The service, atmosphere and food choices are top notch.

Tasty times

Nothing special here. Pad Kee Mao sauce was thick, sticky and sickeningly sweet and overly salted. Orange chicken was similar. Overly salted and sweet. The chicken was dense and not crispy. Nothing authentic here, this was disappointing Americanized Thai cuisine and nothing more.

We enjoyed the Tom Kha soup, Potstickers, and Pad Puk(mixed veggies). All dishes were perfect. The Thai Iced Tea and lemonade was delicious as well 😋

It’s easily the best restaurant in Saint Helens. The food is always great. I don’t know much about authenticity of the Thai cuisine, however, it’s way better than any other Thai food I’ve ever had.

Hidden Gem!

At least a hidden gem for me because I honestly have never even been out to St. Helens. This place is truly amazing! Everything is full of flavor, not one item that I tried was disappointing. The service here was great, the server checked on us frequently and was extremely friendly. If you are in the St. Helens area I highly recommend this place. I know I will definitely be heading back soon!!

The best Thai food in St Helens...and here's why:

Flavor is impeccable. The in-house made Hot Pot broth alone is worth the visit.

The Crispy Basil Chicken was perfectly crisp on the outside, covered in a house made sweet and sour sauce, then cooked so the chicken was juicy and delicious on the inside.

The service: Friendly, hospitable, kind and very attentive.

Very clean restaurant and restrooms.

Price is very inexpensive and for the quality I am surprised they don't charge more.

Unique and very favorable Thai "comfort food". Great variety of dishes too. The crispy basil chicken was incredible, best ever! Great atmosphere and the service is top notch. They are located along the St. Helen's Waterfront which is so unexpectedly charming. I hadn't been to this area before but definitely coming back!

Six of us enjoyed a great meal at Lotus of Bangkok last night after the Thursday night concert in the amphitheater. Everyone loved what they had. The eggplant dish had particularly exquisite seasonings. Very attentive staff. How great to find another wonderful restaurant nearby, especially without having to go to Portland.

I've eaten there twice now and will definitely be a repeat customer. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable in a nice, well kept building. All of the staff have been very friendly and attentive, without being pushy. The food is excellent, some of the best Thai that I've ever had. They have a convenient "1-5" level for how spicy dishes can be made, and the five is a good level for flavorful and spicy without being overwhelming. All around great dining experience.

There are two things I like to rate restaurants on. First is customer service: I give five stars. The service was exceptional. They were so gracious and went above and beyond. Second, the taste and quality of the food. For five years I have searched for a Thai restaurant the provides this quality of authentic cuisine. The food was astounding! I savored every bite. I easily give them a five star on food taste, quality and authenticity. Thank you Lotus of Bangkok for such a quality meal and outstanding service.
