This is a home restaurant, and my god, it was amazing. Food was flavorful. We ordered fried tofu, spicy basil fried rice and tom yummy soup. (Tom yum....:p that was on purpose). Best tom yum soup i have had till now. They know how to make spicy food. Overall it's a small restaurant but worth a try. Definitely going to visit next time when we are around Mt
Hood.

Good food in a small restaurant. Good service. The Pad Thai can be on the sweeter side and the spice fried rice wasn’t spicy at all, but we still had a pretty good experience.

We ordered $70 worth of food. We have been getting the same order for years and have been going here for YEARS. Service, prices and food has been going down for the last few years. Very disappointing, we are long customers, born and raised here, been going here since day one. Sad to say this amount of Money for once in a two-three month purchase, sucks…. Order was totally wrong tonight. Sad 😔

The food is amazing! Staff recommended the crab & shrimp fried rice and that was chef's kiss. Very friendly and kind people. Also really enjoyed the green curry here too that I had on a previous occasion. Yellow curry is my usual go to at Thai places & if you have the spice tolerance ask for the 4 level its perfect.

I have eaten here a few times and the food is always top notch. The wait is never very long and the staff are so very polite and courteous. I have never had anything I did not like, always excellent flavors and the food is fresh and hot!

Spent $70 on a meal for two, Gross and way over priced....wonder how they figure their pricing. Food was less than average. Nvr again !

Got done hiking Salmon Butte and decided to take a risk at Thai Home. My friend is a strict vegan so this can present some challenges. This place was solid gold. The server(maybe the owner of owner’s daughter?) was very knowledgeable about which items were truly vewgan(no fish sauce or shrimp paste, etc.). They had so many good choices. We got the fresh garden rolls(excellent and uniquely so as compared to other thai restaurants I’d been to recently), a roasted eggplant dish and the yellow curry. All with a $2 up charge for both tofu and extra veggies. Worth it and so fresh. Really nice presentation and made with care for details. Again, really fresh.

We did not get a dessert and we were just stuffed. Had to take some home in a box. The atmosphere is very authentic and the woman who helped us was genuinely kind, not rushed, and checked in frequently. A young man kept the water glasses full and fresh. Both had kind eyes and just seemed genuinely kind.

This place is a true keeper in Sandy. What a great way to end our 12 mile hike! Enthusiastically recommend.

Defiantly a local favorite! It has a relax, home feel ambiance. The food was delicious, warm and freshly made. I highly recommend you end with the sticky mango rice, it was to die for.

Absolute gem!!! Care taken w everything. The delicate flavours in the Tom Ka soup. The amazing rich flavour of the red curry. The lovely crunch of freshness in the soft spring rolls…even the shine on the polished glasses and cutlery. Outstanding attention to detail in everything. Patti the lovely young owner is just a delight and really puts love into Thai Home. Could not be more happy that we stumbled across this place on our visit from Canada. I would drive a long way for this food if I lived here.

Top stop passing thru sandy for phenomenal Thai. Easy to stop and grab and go and they move fast and fair warning their spicy drunken noodle at hottest is almost hard to eat but worth all the sweating cause the favor profile is like a trip to Thailand!!

The cashew delight was well…a delight! Very flavorful. The service was excellent and I love the cute little house they have for a restaurant.

Too salty and too much sugar. Not enough vegetables and very small potions of bean sprouts were cooked together with noodle and meat. No fresh bean sprouts were served in my pat thai dish.

I recommend the sizzling duck plate!

My daughter who took cooking classes in Thailand, recommended this place. I’m so glad that she did because it’s been consistently a fantastic experience. What a treasure to have a place like this in little Sandy, Oregon.

Thai Home Restaurant has everything you want for a great meal: delicious food, reasonable prices and attentive service. Housed in a small home in Sandy, we had no trouble finding parking right across the street. The vibe of the interior is an intimate and casual dining experience.
There was only a small wait for the main courses while we enjoyed our appetizers. All of the food was super fresh and very tasty!

Portions get smaller with every visit.

They have a very welcoming staff, the food is consistently good, and pretty good variety for being in a small town.

Not the best Thai, but it’ll do. I’m a Thai critic so maybe that’s why I give 3 stars. Massaman curry was very thin consistency and tasted fishy.

This is the best Thai food you'll find outside of Portland. My only issue is the sharp increase in prices over the nine years I've lived in the area, especially for protein add-ons. Basic proteins should be included in the dish price, with charges applying only for specialty items like beef or seafood. It used to be our weekly treat, but we've had to cut back because of the rising costs.

Dining area is simple, no frills but a nice fire in the stove feels good on our soggy & wintery Oregon days. You can't go wrong grabbing a lunch to go or just dining in so you get a break from cooking & dishes.

Smelled great!... Then I tried to eat it... I ordered a spicy noodle dish from the lunch menu. I got it medium spicy. When I tried it, it was not spicy at all, and the noodles where like eating a bowl of slugs. Do not recommend..

Friendly, fast service!

Sat in the outdoor dining area with our two dogs and the staff immediately took care of the dogs in a way that most restaurants do not. They went the extra step and it was wonderful before we even ordered our food. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, we were there towards late in the day when most would be tired by the end of the day, they were happy to have us. My SO and I were SUPER hungry and ordered a plethora of apps and entrees and all the food was delicious and the quality was better than most Asian restaurants in the area. The food came out in a very timely manner and the Thai iced coffees were delicious too! The staff was extremely attentive throughout the duration of the meal and took care of us well ❤️ also bonus point for putting the peanuts on the side in the Pad Thai entree!!

The food was so freaking delicious, we had these vegetable wraps called garden rolls, they were wrapped in rice paper and came with the most delicious sauce I've ever tasted. I will be dreaming of those wraps for years to come, and will definitely be making the trek back to taste them once again. The service was so great, our server was super sweet and very helpful. We also had the green curry and a salad. Both were really yummy. 10/10

Their Tom Ka soup is one of the best Thai soups I’ve ever tasted. Rich in flavours and has an authentic touch. The food was so much better than what we find at big budgeted restaurants. Highly recommend this place if travelling to Portland.

A small little, yet well placed Thai Restaurant. Enjoyed sitting outside on their patio, was a beautiful day to enjoy the outside. Service since we stepped in with a beautiful smile, the 2 young ladies were fantastic and made us feel welcome. Food was very tasty and we both enjoyed our dishes. If you are ever in Sandy, OR and love Thai food like I do, stop by and enjoy what this restaurant offers, you won't regret it. Cons, parking is limited mostly on street and only 4 types of beers available no hard liquor but the food was worth it👍👍

We were just passing through and decided to stop in. We were blown away! Having spent time in Thailand, this was some of the best Thai food we’ve had! Patty was so kind and hospitable and the seating was perfect for a cool summer evening. We will very likely come back to Sandy just for this place!

We had lunch while passing through Sandy and took advantage of the lunch specials. We split a curry and the sauteed veggies options, and both were great, supplemented by a Thai cucumber salad dressing. White and brown rice were both good, portions were right for us for lunch (not too big, not too small). We had a great conversation with our server, who I think is also the owner, and she brought a bowl of water for our dog while we ate on the deck. Walked away feeling great. Now I just need reasons to visit Sandy more often so we can come back.

We stopped here for lunch, sat outside.. they had vegetarian options, they are soo nice, they even offered me to modify my dish as I want.. I added sprouts and vegan sauce to drunken noodles.. it was amazing.. the non-veg items were also amazing. They are very sweet couple.. must try iced tea!!

The best Thai I've had outside of Thailand. Honestly. Every dish is excellent. It is fresh, authentic, and comes out fast. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly as well. It's been around for 20 years for a reason. Better than anything I've found in Portland. Table next to us mentioned they drive out from PDX just for the meal. Highly recommend you try it out. We now stop in every time we're out that way.

The food here is really quite good. I also really enjoy the atmosphere and the kind nature of the service. While I was there the waitress made a little mistake with my order but they were so apologetic and rectified really quickly. A little word about the appetizers though. When they use the term deep fried - they mean it. Only order if you are really hungry.

Their pad thai is dry and way too expensive in comparison to other places. Paid $17 here and at Arawan pad thai in Happy Valley, which has the is the best pad thai you only pay $12. Unfortunately if you're a pad thai lover like I am, don't get it here. I will try their other items and see if they taste better.

Decided to try one of the Thai places in Sandy after skiing for the day. This place had the best reviews so we gave it a try. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick and attentive. The food was quite good. Tried a couple of curries and the orange chicken. My son thought the orange chicken was the best he ever had and he is quite picky. The mango and sticky rice was one of the best I have ever had as well.
