Vegan Thai Food on SE Hawthorne Blvd.
As I ease in, the gentle sway of the background lounge music guides me into a relaxing smile. Met by warm friendly staff with kindness in their eyes and joy in their smile. It was early, the restaurant was not too busy yet. I found a table for myself next to the large windows, the day was perfect as the sun had just peaked out. I had the spicy string beans and veggie rolls, the presentation was art. The taste was exquisite. I'll dream about this tonight...
The food is great, but NOT ALL VEGAN! I ordered "Cauliflower Crispy Basil" and they gave me a "Crispy Basil" dish which was actually chicken. This is NOT a vegan restaurant, it's a ghost kitchen within Ladda Thai House -- which serves meat. So double check that your order is actually from the vegan menu, they don't make it clear at all which menu you're ordering from.
I just tried DeeDee Vegan Thai for the first time tonight. The coconut vegetables with tempeh was outstanding! The atmosphere is calming after a busy week and the service was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely go back! Vegan? You should definitely try this place.
Great vegan choices, the restaurant is a shared space with another Thai restaurant. Anything on the non-vegan menu can also be made vegan! Service was amazing, super friendly staff. Vegan food was served in large portions (enough for leftovers!) and tasted great. Get a pineapple drink to help you stay cool.
Edit: Do not order delivery from here, food is maybe not portable/deliverable. Food was undercooked and portions were a lot smaller than dining in the restaurant. Food also had a fish-like smell which scared us a bit due to allergies.
It baffles my mind that this place doesn’t have more great reviews. I just went for the first time tonight and it was divine. The employees are so kind, accommodating, and lovely to talk to. The vegan menu is huge and the food was incredible. I literally can’t wait to go back.
really accommodating for gluten free!

Amazing food, ambiance, service and FLAVOR 🇹🇭🌶️🥵
Just GO!
We ordered pumpkin curry very mild via Uber eats and it came to us spicy. My partner cannot handle spicy food so this was unacceptable.

NOT VEGAN. This restaurant is listed on many websites aas Dee Dee Vegan Thai... but it is not vegan. I was interested in what they make the egg noodles out of since it's vegan... surprise, they're made out of eggs. It looks like this is a vegetarian restaurant, and the items on the menu marked VG are the vegan ones.
Favorite Thai place in PDX it's tasty and lots of gf options
Food was amazing and the servers were amazingly nice.
Absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic and the staff is so friendly and kind. Super cute decor too.

Was a little confused at first since Dee Dee's is a restaurant within a restaurant with a separate menu. The Vegan Thai food was decent, but didn't leave me wanting to go back soon. Everything else was great.

Delicious vegan Thai food, beautiful presentation. Friendly lovely staff. I need to go many more times too try everything else on the menu!
Stopped in for takeout - the food was delicious but oh my goodness such a cute space they have there! Great date night spot, I will definitely be back to eat in house
Delicious Thai delivery! The curries and green bean dish were awesome. Excited to try more.
Ordered on Doordash so didn’t realize it was a ghost kitchen, but the food was RAW. Uncooked, uncut (?!) vegetables, including raw potatoes which can make people extremely sick. Honestly this should not be an operating business, and the health department should shut this place down so they don’t make more people ill. Who can even say what their hygiene and contaminate processes are. You should be ashamed to call any of that food, much less charge money for it.
Nice place. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of vegan options. Unfortunately the vegetables in the dishes weren't very cooked but the flavour was good. Maybe a little overpriced.
Such a cute little restaurant with lots of vegan options! I’ll definitely be back again!
The staff was friendly, and the food was wonderful!
It was so good I went to nights in a row 🥳 😋
This is NOT a vegan restaurant. It is a ghost kitchen operating out of Ladda Thai House, an omnivorous restaurant. Our food came with egg on it and we were told “there’s a vegan and nonvegan option, you have to order the vegan option”— my bad, I thought ordering from a restaurant with “vegan” in the title was enough (not to mention, no, there wasn’t an option).
Audi was so friendly and genuine. the environment was classy and comfortable and the food was delightful. definitely going to come back soon!!
we got takeout from Dar Vegan Thai and it was fantastic! the Singapore noodles, yellow curry, pumpkin tempura, and mango sticky rice were all delicious - especially the pumpkin, which has the most delicious coating 😋 will definitely be coming here again.
