Chick & PigThai Street Food
Delicious authentic Thai food! This place is the real deal. Charming food truck with reasonable prices and flavor packed dishes!
I got #29 Garlic Pepper Pork and the Papaya Salad. The salad was fresh and crispy while the pork was tender and fragrant. Portions are a good size. Expect to pay $12-18 per dish.
We had an absolutely lovely meal here. We took it for takeout and everything stood up to the trip. We had the papaya salad, which I’m really glad we got a little more mild cause they tend to run hot. We also got the Penang, which comes with rice. It also comes with an egg on top and the fried chicken swims in the curry. It was lovely. Finally we got an order of Pad see ew but we’re not super impressed. There was a bit of a funk to it and a slight taste of cinnamon. With the juices from the curry and the papaya salad, though it was delicious. Another note is the wontons are not filled with cream cheese, the wontons are filled With the most tender of chicken meatballs. We were a little disappointed to not have cream cheese but honestly, they were pretty tasty.
Who has been to Thailand would know this is the real real real real authentic Thai food. I finally found my real Thai street food. Mu Ping, the grilled pork with sticky rice. Pad Kaprao, stir-fried hot basil with pork and fried egg. Fried wontons with the homemade sauce. These are my favourite. They do it different from other Thai restaurants in Portland. This is what we actually eat in Thailand. I can eat their food everyday. The service is great. Friendly staff. I'd like to try some other food on their menu too. This is the ticket to Thailand! Please don't miss!!!
Delicious Thai street food! We got the barbequed pork and the curry pastries. Both were scrumptious. The pork was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The curry pastries were exceptionally flavorful - spicy, complex, rich warm curry wrapped with hot, flaky pastry. Service was friendly and fast. A delightful experience!
My Thai friends told me about this place. I went from Washington to try different dishes a few times, including what my friends recommended. Not that impressed. Grilled chicken was so dry. Asked for mild, but got very hot (I'm Thai), sticky rice was so tough and dry , and rice was very wet mushy Probably not going back for the fourth time!
We came for lunch and ordered sesame balls and fried wontons as starters. Both were delicious! We then had the crispy pork belly and the fried chicken in panang sauce. These dishes were incredible, the flavors were amazing! We didn’t adjust the spice and if you don’t usually eat spicy food it would probably be somewhat hot, but they have options to adjust the spice level. Overall so delicious, we’ll be coming back!
Horrible food! Ordered chicken wings and they fried it in tempura batter! Grossss
OMG we love this place... It's our go to Thai restaurant. It has no right to be as delicious as it is, but there ya go. Eem has absolutely nothing on Chick &Pig- we prefer it!
Insanely dank Thai street food. I’ve eaten here ten times in a row and it’s 10 for 10. Beats virtually any Thai in town

I ordered the papaya salad with friend chicken wings and sticky rice. Super super tasty and fresh! Can’t recommend more!
This place is our local favorite. It is constantly the best thai food I found in Portland. We’ve been back 20+ times to try different dishes and never once came across a bad one. The lemongrass chicken has the most amazing flavor and is blackened to perfection.
Authentic Thai street food. Everything I tried is delicious.
Super delicious !!!
By far, this is the best Thai street food I’ve ever had in the country! The chef is Thai and he made the food in Authentic Thai style, exactly like when we were in Thailand. I’m very impressed as it’s very difficult to find the real authentic Thai food here. I am traveling around the country and so glad I found this place. will definitely come back if I ever visit Portland again. Very sweet service, great portion and reasonable price too!
Great cart with good portions and value for Portland. The dood is fresh and flavorful and they can adjust the spice to your tastes. Always super friendly, and we visit a few times a month! Love the chicken ping and garlic pepper chicken!

ผัดกระเพาอร่อยมากๆค่ะ
Food was so good, I love it
Really solid food! Had the chicken and yakisoba, spicy. Chicken was tempura battered, real nice spin on fried chicken. Noodles were solid too, and SO much food. Tasty and a bargain. Will go back for sure.
My wife and I have been to this place twice since we found it about a month ago. We’ve been to Thailand, and haven’t found real Thai food like this in the United States until we ate here. We highly recommend any of the dishes with ground beef or ground pork.
Delicious authentic Thai food! This place is the real deal. Charming food truck with reasonable prices and flavor packed dishes!

A hidden gem of the highest order.
Wowzers!!!!! This place is good. We moved to Woodstock a few years ago months prior to trying this place and finally went after hearing non-stop how great it was. I’m so glad we did! We will be back, and often.
We just discovered this place after living in the neighborhood for 2 years, and man, we have been missing out!!! This food was INCREDIBLE!! We have tried Thai restaurants all around Portland and place is by far the most authentic. 10/10!
One of the best place in Portland if you want to enjoy the food . If they make fried meat, this meat inside will be juicy . Yesterday I order for first time there fried calamari, and that been best I ever eat fried calamari , and restaurants were my check was been 400-800$ didn't make this type of dish that good . 10 of 5 for this place , I'm driving to eat there from wood village
Went for the first time tonight. Everything was flavorful and cooked amazingly. We got everything medium and it was the perfect spice level, papaya salad was on the spicy side for sure.
So yummy! Especially on a chilly day. We got the curry puffs, fried chicken with panang sauce, and fried Basil beef and they all were excellent. Fast and friendly service. Our new favorite Thai food in Woodstock!
This place really cares. The lady who takes your oder is super kind and chef is always chipper! The most important part is the food is dankalicous and tastes authentic!
I got the pork belly and fried egg with 5 spiciness on my first visit. Was perfect heat and flavor. Definitely going back again.
5000 stars
Greatest Of All Time
Do not delay any longer, get food here. Your life might depend on it.
BBQ sets FTW!!!
So happy to find this place in our neighborhood! We tried the lemongrass chicken salad and the fried pork belly and they were both yummy & the woman who served us was super sweet. We’ll be back for sure!
Some of the very best Thai food I’ve ever had, can’t recommend highly enough!
Favorite Thai spot hands down.
The chicken panang was outstanding! I would go back just for that. I do want to try so many things on their menu. I had level 4 spicy and it was perfect (love the heat). The food was quick and the service was great!
This food is DELICIOUS! Super authentic, lovely staff, and so flavorful! Highly recommend! #33 is so flavorful!
The best Thai food in the area!
Amazing food, great service, and awesome people. Don’t miss out on this place! Their menu is pretty amazing, has a bunch of dishes you can’t find in other places. Their pork belly dish is really something else, also tried their lemon grass chicken and loved it. I’m giving this place 5 stars! If you’re looking for new things to try I definitely recommend this place, you’ll be surprised ☺️
Super kind folks making high-quality food at a good price and portion.
Try the fried papaya salad!
My other favorite is the fried chicken and green curry.
Slowly working my way through the whole menu.
Super good food.
Friendly service.
Great Thai iced coffee.
Beware, the spice ratings are legit here.
I've had 3 and 2. The 3 actually made me sweat a bit.
This place is in a league of its own. Don't waste your time with the standard Thai dishes most carts serve. This cart is really doing something different. Everything is fresh and it's a great change of pace.
My only criticism is that the medium can vary wildly with spice. I have a great heat tolerance and I generally just play it safe with a mild because sometimes the medium is incredibly hot.
G3 is my go to!
Lovely people, fresh and very authentic Thai food. I came for the taro bubble tea and left with the Kana Moo Krob. The vegetables were cooked perfectly tender with crispy chicken, tossed in spices. It is hard to find tapioca in bubble tea that is just right and these guys hit it out of the park. For $5, it's unbeatable. Tables are covered and catch the evening summer sun. Don't sleep on Chick and Pig!
Asked for level 5 spice and got level 5 spice which I appreciated. They didn't try to nuke me. Thai iced tea helped! Ordered the Pad Kaprow with fried pork belly, SUPER yummy. The portions were much more than I expected, I was full until past dinner.
Holy hell this place is incredible. The crispy papaya salad is like the best thing in the world. Note it takes a little time to prepare the food as it’s all super fresh and made to order. The spice level is legit so beware. This place is a staple in our diet.
Decent food (3 out of 5), but for being a food cart you can't take 3 times as long as a real restaurant. 30 minutes to order 2 simple dishes with no one else waiting. Any Asian food restaurant on the same street takes like maybe 10 minutes, and I've eaten at all the Woodstock restaurants. Additionally prices really high for a food cart. All in all it's a pass.
Delicious and value
The real taste of Thai food. I love the fried wonton and the sauce that comes with it.
Fabulous. Chef Special is our family go-to.
I love their yakisoba with fried chicken. It is so tasty, and the owner is very respectful & polite.
Really flavorful Thai food. A great local spot that we will surely hit again. Be warned; this place brings the heat! In a really good way, but we would tone it down a notch next time🌶️🌶️🌶️ Check this spot out!
Fried chicken and panang curry was one of the best dishes I've eaten in a while. I'm hoping they can move to the new location being built by Pizza Roma as they're a little hard to see in current location.
Just ordered online for takeout, some of the best Thai food I've had. The Kra Pow Moo Krob is delicious and the chick&pig sauce is great for dipping or on rice. Will go back for sure.
100/10 ate here with the wife the guy was really kind and brought us a heater bc it wa s cold out and the food was so good you need to try it. I’ve never written a review until I felt so compelled by how amazing this place is. (We had the fried chicken with Panang sauce and the garlic fried rice with fried chicken)
The grilled pork is incredible!
Had the lemongrass chicken salad and it was delicious! I didn’t realize it was in a gas station parking lot, and was a bit skeptical, but the food was great and I’d definitely come back!
honestly this spot is amazing. delicious food served quickly. they will make your food VERY spice if you ask. prepared just as it is in Thailand. My favourite Thai food cart in Portland
Food taste really good. Worth the waiting.
This place is great. I love the panang and green curries. But the fried papaya salad is to die for.
How depressing to find another Thai restaurant that doesn't live up to its internet reviews. The service was brusque rather than friendly, and slow. I asked for Diet Coke and the server tried to give me Diet Pepsi. I declined to take it. I ordered fried chicken with garlic fried rice. It took 15 minutes for me to get it with only one person in front of me. The chicken was unlike any chicken I had in Thailand. It was OK, but not great. The garlic fried rice was evidently made with industrial strength garlic, which did not make it more attractive to me. My friend ordered G1 Padkapao with fried egg, which he was unable to eat. The Chick & Pig sauce was tasty, but not enough to make up for the rest of the food. I was deeply disappointed by the food at Chick & Pig.
So friendly, the food is amazing. Honestly, probably the best food cart I’ve ever had and the best Thai place
My partner and I have gone here two times and both times we have just been so happy. The food is so flavorful, and delicious. Strongly recommend! If you don't want spice be sure to choose a 0-1
Ordered Calamari and it was the best one I had it for long time. Delish!
Oh yum! This was my first time trying the goodness of Chick&Pig and it did not disappoint. So simple and favorable. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and smothered in delicious curry. Both individuals working were so nice and ensured everything was perfect for our meal! Highly recommend 🔥
Tried Chick and Pig for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! We shared three dishes off their menu and each was delicious! Would highly recommend including an order of sesame balls and Thai iced coffee with whatever you try. I will definitely be back!
Everyday of my life I missed real deal Moo Ping, The perfect Thai grilled pork is like a gift on this earth. But now I found this place and feel my itch has been scratched. I am amazed how good it is seriously incredible 1110/10
Finally! Next level Asian food in Woodstock! The food here is packed with flavor—the fish sauce / herb / acid ratio is on point.
The fried chicken with Penang is absolutely incredible. Potstickers are great too! Cannot wait to try the rest of the menu. This place is seriously amazing.
I’m sitting in the parking scarfing my meal and want to tell you all this is by far the best food truck Thai I’ve ever had on top of that they’re really nice.
I consider myself somewhat spicy tolerant and my spiciness selection of 3 was pushing my threshold.
Sooooo good. Soooo Spicy!
Spicy levels are realistic, 4 gives a runny nose and a good lingering spicy. But doesn't last too long. Flavor is fantastic! "Salad" a little sweet for my personal taste.
The pad kapao was tasty and spicy, but the skewers are what I will be coming back for.
Food was amazing, and very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Another reviewer called this "the next big thing" and I couldn't agree more. We had the potstickers, pork belly kradpow, and fried chicken panang curry and everything was perfect.
Incredible! We tried the fried fish meatballs, fried chicken with panang, garlic fired rice with fried chicken, and the crispy papaya salad. Everything was amazing, especially the crispy papaya salad! 10 out of 10 would recommend. 20 out of 10 for flavor! They're not joking about their spice levels!
Incredibly delicious and authentic Thai street food. I felt like I was back on kao son road or the Pae Saturday walking market, old city in Chiang mai.
The staff is super friendly and we’re refreshing to chat with. They also helped me brush up on my thai language skills. This place is really worth trying. You’ll be hooked!
Best Thai street food in PDX ! Wow the flavors are on point and beautiful. Thanks chick&pig
We ordered a couple dishes on their online platform, and it was prepared quickly, perfectly, and they even brought it to the car! The food was f***ing amazing, and this is now my neighborhood go-to for Thai takeout. Thank you Chick&Pig for rocking so hard!
Excellent food, and I've had a lot of Thai over the years, as my best friend and his family all own restaurants.
Its all made with care and from scratch.
I highly recommend the Lemongrass Chicken Salad!
Oh, and they are very serious about the spiciness, so go with mild, very mild if you don't like heat.
When the owner asked where I had heard about the food cart, I had to say PDX Eater. We ordered a large array of food.
Warning to those who are sensitive to spice, this may not be your kind of place. We had them make the way they normally would. My mouth was on fire for quite a while. Next time, I will probably go with 2 stars.
The curry puffs are worth every penny you pay for them. They were small pillow of curry goodness. Think of samosas but in a flaky crust.
PAPAYA SALAD is a must have. It all works together.
Curry Chicken was divine. Fried chicked, curry gravy, what more do you want.
Pot stickers were good.
The star of the show is the Padkapao. The complex, deep flavors mixed with the rice. Oh my!
It did take 25 minutes for them to create the order but we were there at a busy time.
This new food cart is a bit under the radar... Definitely some of the best barbecue around, let alone Thai BBQ! Both the grilled chicken and grilled pork were cooked to perfection, seared with some of the most amazing umami flavors. And the accompanying dipping sauces were sublime. Will be back to try everything else on the menu!
So excited to have this cart in the area! Everything I ordered was delicious and loved that they have so many unique menu items you can't find at other thai restaurants here. The crispy papaya salad and grilled skewers w/ sticky rice is a MUST try (the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection.) The portions are extremely generous as well. Do note that their spice level is legit thai-level spicy so if you can't handle spice, go with spice level 0-1.
The food is delicious! We ordered fried wontons, Padkapao with fried egg, fried chicken with panang curry sauce and the garlic fried rice with fried chicken and everything was suuper yummy. My favorite was the garlic rice with fried chicken - the outside was nice and crispy and the chicken was very tender and juicy - so good! One thing to note is that some of the food might not look exactly like the pictures on the side of the foodcart. For example, the fried wontons had sauce on them, but in the picture there's no sauce, and the garlic rice with fried chicken is like a sliced cutlet, not like the chicken drumsticks in the picture, but everything is so delicious that it didn't matter. Just be aware that there might be slight differences (or it was slightly dark and my eyesight is worse than I thought) :D . The gentleman who took my order was very friendly, made sure to let me know that it would be about a 15 min wait till my order was ready and he plugged in the heat lamp for me when he saw that I was waiting outside. We will definitely be ordering from here again!
Stop what you were doing right now.
Pay close attention if you care about Thai food.
I lived in Thailand for two years and I have been searching for legitimate Thai food in America for eight years since I have been back, and this is the end of the world.
This is, hands-down, the best real Thai food that I have come across in America in my eight years since I’ve been back.
This is it. Call your friends make a plan and spend $200 here.
You will not be disappointed.
Amazing, authentic and very tasty Thai street food. Hands down some of the very best Thai food we've had in America. The flavors will take you right to the streets of Bangkok, in the best way possible. We had the Pad Kapao, papaya salad and bbq pork set...all 3 were perfect! Generous portions, incredible flavors, and they are not shy on the spice level....a true Thai experience! Be warned.
Super friendly staff, and the food was hot and ready very quickly. Finally made it here after wanting to for weeks...this will now be a routine stop for takeout anytime. Can't wait to get back and try more. Go here now!
*NEW SECRET SPOT
This place is awesome and very reasonably priced for the quality and portion.
Although, one might say - "woodstock didnt need another thai restaurant," Chick and Pig carves out a unique cuisine that steps on no other resturants toes, and sincerely fills a void of flavours and craving that was previously not on the map in this neighborhood.
DO NOT HESITATE to visit this cart in thier unorthodox location. (Woodstock shell gas station) They checked all the boxes for me, while blowing my expectations out of the water. So glad they made this street thier home. Welcome them to the neighborhood yourself, and dont forget to order the wontons.
Pad Kaprao is my favourite! Stir-fried hot basil with ground pork, garlic and chilies, served with Thai style fried egg and jasmine rice. You can also order it with crispy pork belly instead. I just ordered the one on a special menu today. Spaghetti Pad Kaprao Seafood, stir-fried hot basil with mixed seafood, spaghetti, garlic & chilies, served with Thai style fried egg. Som Tum, the papaya salad is incredible good! Fried wontons are always the best! (the sauce is homemade) The Taro drink is delightful. His food always make my day. The portion is big. Worth every penny! Great service. The food here is different from other Thai restaurants. Don't miss! Please try!!!
This was the best food I've had from a restaurant in a while. We got several entrees and every item had it's own unique flavor profile. Nothing tasted like it was just the same ingredients remixed and under-spiced. Please don't ever change!
Outstanding Thai food. My wife is Thai and just said “we never need to cook again!”
Yum!!! First, the owners are very sweet. Now to the food! I got the fried wontons, curry puffs, fried chicken with lemon sauce, fried chicken with panang, and a bubble tea. Everything was delicious! The wontons were crispy and had a delicious a spicy sweet and sour sauce on them. The curry puffs breading was very buttery and savory. The lemon sauce was so, so good; especially on the sweet potato fries. The fried chicken is very crispy. Loved the panang with the fried egg. Let me just say, I am happy and full and will definitely be back!
This is a great Thai place that's different than the usual pan fried noodles or curries. The fried chicken was light and not too heavy and the lemon grass chicken was very flavorful. Everything was quite flavorful and I'll be ordering again from here.
Be aware that Thai spicy is different than normal spicy. We got spicy level 2/5 and by the end of our meal most of us were sniffling and looking for a way to cool down.
Excellent food. Saw this place while getting gas and made a mental note to come back when they were open and so glad I did!
Ordered the fried wontons and padkapao- recommended by the staff- and both were so delicious. Spicy, flavorful, crispy and really firing on all senses. This will become a new favorite in the neighborhood in no time.
I’ll be back next week to begin working my way through the menu.
Who has been to Thailand would know this is the real real real real authentic Thai food. I finally found my real Thai street food. Mu Ping, the grilled pork with sticky rice. Just went and ate from here and it was really really good 👍 I recommend either the chicken or the pig 🐖 the food is really good.
